20 Best Chinos For Work (2022 Updated)

If you do crazy squats and waistline is over 40, you know the way most pants fit. You get bigger sizes and they are still tight on the thighs and usually too long. These pants have extra room at the top to fill in and the material is super soft.

The 30 length size is actually good enough not running high, it is more to the 31 on other pants if there is such. You can feel the difference as you put them on and then after while walking and bending.

Great pants, I hope I can stick with these from now on.

These are the most comfortable men’s pants I have tried so far without question. For someone with lower back pain the flex in the waist makes all the difference in the world. Regular jeans & even dress pants mostly have a fairly rigid waist line especially in the back & this creates pressure on your back, these DO NOT.

They do differ in sizing & material used though depending on where you buy them, which is kind of concerning. Some of them have pocket material which cannot take much abuse without failing ( front pockets get a hole & whatever just falls out).

I have owned a pair of these for about a year, and I just purchased two more pairs. They are very comfortable, easy to kneel down in, the material holds up well, stains come out easily (pre-treat with GOOP), and the cargo pockets are perfect for holding smartphones and reading glasses.

I have even worn them as casual dress pants. they look good with dress shoes and a nice shirt. I highly recommend them!.

I have to wear clothes that are professional for work and trying to find clothes that are comfortable is important. I work long hours 6 days a weeks and since I spend a majority of my time in work clothes I need pants that not only look professional but feel comfortable to me.

These pants are both! The color is dark and matches with so many different styles of shirts. The pockets are deep enough to hold my phone and keys while I’m working and when I sit they dont feel tight in the waist.

I have worn these pants at least 10 times in the last weeks because i really enjoy how comfortable they are and i forgot I’m even wearing work clothes sometimes. Even after washing them several times they still look brand new and hardly ever have any wrinkles in them! I’m 6ft and about 160lbs and have found these pants to fit true to their size in the waist and length.

I love my Chino pants. The cut and the style of the pants are so nice. The straight legged fit makes me look slimmer. The sizing of these pants is perfect. They are nice ans stretchy which makes them very comfortable.

I’m a musician and dressing nice is important to me when I’m in front of people for my gigs. These pants are perfect for them. I can dress them up or wear them casually, just depending on the shirt and shoes that I choose to accessorize with them.

I received these for my husband who wears 32×32. These pants were true navy in color and they had a nice straight leg fit down. They were a little tight in the butt area but the pants provided some stretch making them OK for my husband.

He had worn them a couple of times to work. Once pairing them with a white button down and another occasion dressed it with a simple polo for a more casual outfit. He said they are breathable in the FL weather and he did not feel warm in these at all.

I did wash them and followed the care instructions on the label and they came out perfect with no fading. Overall I would purchase these if I was in the market for a versatile dress pant but I would probably size up in the future.

I bought these pants for my son. They’re a great fit and look great after washing. they still look crisp after washing and don’t need ironing. They don’t fade after washing. I will buy them again.

These are my new go-to for chino pants! The color selection is great, though I do wish they offered a dark blue option. I ordered in the Ivory color and was pleasantly surprised with the fit and quality.

They’re extremely versitile and can be worn in both dressy and casual situations. The fit is perfect. They provide enough room for comfort while not being baggy, which I love. My only downsides are that, in contrast to the description, these are actually not very stretchy at all.

The other downside is that they do shrink a bit after washing. Though this wasn’t a big deal for me as they still fit very well. I highly recommend these pants!.

First these pants are very nice, especially for the price. A bit of flex owing to the 2% spandex, decent styling with nice details like a key pocket, and two back pockets that both button. The material is soft, not particularly wrinkle-free (although they don’t claim to be).

They are slim, but not skinny, I measure the leg opening at 7″. Its trim, tailored look. My issue, as it has been with a lot of Goodfellow & Co. clothing, is consistancy in sizing. I ordered two Slim Fit Chinos, one in black and one in olive, both with a 34L inseam.

As you can see from the photo, the black 34 inseam is nearly 2″ longer than the olive (measured at 1 7/8″). I have a natural 33″ inseam, so it would seem that the olive, which on me has a roughly 1″ break, is actually the 34 in the black is perhaps a 36.

To be clear, they are BOTH marked at 34L. So really it seems one can only buy these in-store (so they can weed out the incorrect sizes) or be prepared to make a return to Target even when ordering items online in the correct size.

I purchased the Dapper Brown color, to add a little variety in my slacks options. In this same order, I had also ordered this company’s Athletic Fit Hennepin Chino Pants, in both the green and the salmon color for the same reason.

I ordered all pairs in 36 waist. I fit in a 34 to a 36 waist, and can, if I must, SQUEEZE into a 32. The Hennepin fit perfectly just like the rest of the slacks I already owned. THESE however, despite everything label-wise calling it a 36, I can’t even get the fabric to meet, let alone button.

It has to actually be like a 26 or something. I checked and rechecked, but everything says 36 despite obviously not being such. Whatever you do, don’t do what I do and remove tags assuming these pants are actually measured correctly.

Goodfellow & Co. really dropped the ball here.

Great pants, difficult to find in the retail stores lately. The stretch waist band is forgiving with the usual holiday pounds I gain…

Easy shopping. Could not find my size at the specialty clothing stores. Walmart had same brand in my size at a better price. Same with blue jeans.

Have worn Savane khakis for years. ANd have gone from 265 lbs to 205 lbs but not due to the Savane Khakis… just needed to look sharp and crisp in my casual outings. Excellent purchase.

This is the new cut, y’all be bad, whoop whoop! This trousers are mad slick. I’m wearing them as the best man in a wedding, but I plan to wear them all the time. They’re super comfortable. I’ll use them for best manning, teaching middle schoolers, yard work, cutting firewood, big ballin, smashin, making my ends, taking my lady to the soda fountain, skateboarding, bowling, and playing Mega Man 2.

These are the ultimate utility pants. You can wear them with a dress shirt and jacket, a t shirt, a wife beater, a Hawaiian, your flak jacket if you’re going on a search and destroy in the bush, or you could just rock these trousers shirtless with a puka shell necklace.

I plan to do all these things.

I recently went down a pant size from 34 waist to 31 waist. The Fulton skinny rapid movement chino is the best fitting, best feeling and sexiest pair compared to the likes of Bonobos and J. Crew. These chinos are literally my staple work bottom.

My wife says I should wear theses even on the weekends and outings. I’ve gotten the olive green, navy, Air Force khaki, rust, purple (plum?) and now yellow. They are not as yellow as I thought but I’ve gotten comments that they are very yellow.

I went a different route and got yellow and I love them! Definitely a favorite by co-workers and my wife. I’ve become a icon member on BRs chinos.

I’m not really a chino person, so I might be biased. But I really don’t see the hype about these pants. The fabric is pretty bulky, but again this might just be how chinos are. Because of this, they felt more like a skinny fit than a slim fit.

The fabric also bunches up on the back of my knees every time I move/sit, which is not only uncomfortable, the leg of the pant sometimes rises several inches because so much fabric has been caught around my knees.

I have not had this issue with other BR pants. Aside from the knee issue, once you adjust to the bulkiness they’re pretty comfortable. I just wouldnt recommend for the price tag.

Aiden style is the number one versatile Chino from Banana Republic. I have grown more fond of Banana Republic brand in my middle adult years. Now, it has become my primary choice in clothing. Love the styles and warm tones.

I’ve bought 6 pair of these pants and the lengths are inconsistent. I have already exchanged 3 pair and I still have 2 of 3 pair I need to return. It’s too bad because the quality of the material seems nice, however the fit is not the same on each pair.

One of the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever worn. I generally don’t leave reviews about anything I ever purchase. But I have to say this is worthy of comment. They are so comfy I almost wore them to bed.

I already have a second pair on order when my size is restocked.

The fit changed from the original real teals. Legs got more tight fitting. I sent back.

My 8th pair of Polo stretch straight fit chinos. Obviously, I love them. Great design, workmanship and material. I am 6’0″ / 175# and size 32W/32L fits me like a glove. The only issue is color representation on RL website – very difficult to figure out true color of the material even though I tried different computers and monitors.

These pants were in “Khaki Tan”, which looked much lighter on screen than in real life. I loved them nevertheless. I previously purchased a pair in “Classic Stone”, but what was delivered said “Beige” and it was definitely different from my Polo “classic stone” cargo shorts.

RL shipped these in a plastic baggy which got torn in transport, with dust and shoe prints allover it. I guess the days of shipping their products in nice boxes with clothes wrapped in tissue paper are long gone.

Real let down.

This is a great pair of pants. The color is a light neutral color perfect for the spring and summer time. The material is one of the best I’ve seen. It’s soft, comfortable and not too thick like denim.

The fit is more on the classic side and the pant leg is straight cut, which is my personal preference for pants. The material does get wrinkled which means I have to iron it after washing. Although it’s not a big deal, it would have been nice if it was more wrinkle resistant.

Other than that it’s good for casual wear or if you need to dress up a little for an occasion.

These chino pants are very comfortable and have a really soft fabric. They do fit true to size which I do not like in these so I always size up for a more comfortable fit for me. I like wearing these pants for my work attire, or with a nice dress shirt.

They come in a few other colors but I prefer the beige ones. There’s a some pockets in the front and the RL logo is embroidered above the right pocket. Very comfortable, classic relaxed fit and I’d most likely get a few more in other colors.

Little on the pricey side but we’ll worth the money and they are wrinkle resistant. Highly recommend.

I’ve purchased 484 slims for a few years and loved the quality of the material and fit, but sad to see that the quality of the material and fit has gone down. like, a lot! The material: the fabric feels about the same, but the color dye of the pants are terrible! I mean, I’ll have a set of keys and my air-pods in my pocket, and by the end of the day, the pants are completely faded white.

I thought it might have been something easily restored with a wash and dry, but it was still there. I wore the other three pairs, in different colors, and it was the same with those too! The fit: The four pairs that I bought before were all the same waist size, but I can definitely feel a slight difference between them.

In fact, two of them are definitely off to the point that I have to unbutton them to keep my stomach from mushroom topping.

These are my first pair of J. Crew slim pants, and I was extremely impressed by the quality and fit. In terms of quality, the materials and stitching on this are excellent. The fabric feels thicker than I expected but still has great give and flexibility.

The hems and stitching feel extremely tight and durable. In terms of the fit, the pants have the exact amount of hug I wanted in my thighs and run pretty close around the lower leg. (Note, though, I do have bigger legs).

Around the waist, the pants do come up a little lower than I’m used to, but while different, it is not uncomfortable at all. In fact, I think it might be flattering.

Easily my all time favorite pants. They last and look good forever because of the 100% cotton composition. An appropriate slim fit and finished with high quality hardware that doesn’t wear out before the pants (YKK Zippers).

Other brands use a cheap pocket lining or the weight of the fabric is not up to snuff. Work wear or in the office, you’re fine. Have a heart J. Crew, keep these around and promote them in multiple colors.

Big guy pants are hard to come by and unpredictable to shop for fit wise. My fiancee’s old pants got sent to Jesus when inner thigh blowout became air conditioning. Holey, Holey, Holey! My magic for making fabric doesn’t exist in in a wand or twitching of my nose.

I do have the power of purchase. of new pants, that is. These fit correctly in the waist, butt, and there is space in the thighs. They are comfortable, durable, and they look good. Target tested, large man approved!.

Purchased several pairs for husband. Cut is trim; no saggy crotches or baggy knees. Touch of stretch keeps crisp despite long commute. Can dress up with dress shirt/blazer or pair with polo. Side zip pocket is nice detail.

Does have an inner tie at waistband but he removes the string. Comes back from dry cleaner without fading, pilling, etc. Another great value from Goodfellow.

Good, well fitting chino’s. Seem to be good quality. Big fan of FF clothing, shame that they can only be bought on line from JL. Prefer to see goods in the store. Having said that, the delivery service was excellent.

I purchased a pair of Fat Face Chinos which have lived up to their usual quality. Well made with a generous amount of material and true to size. I’ll be buying another pair of these.

They’re about half inch too long now after being too short but otherwise, I have never had pants fit loosely throughout the leg before, without them being too wide in the waist.

I bought 2 pair a bout 18 months ago for my boy for school. He wore them till they were to small. So I just went a size up thus time. Quality still the same and I can see he will last. Definitely can recommend.

Trousers had a 30w tag, but were actually a 32w, so not happy, especially as being out of the country meant I missed the returns window, so stuck with trousers that are too big on the waist.

Great chinos, fit is spot on. Wish there were two pockets at the bk, would make my (non-existent) buttocks look better.

I have been trying to buy some “normal” pants for a long time, and in recent years it’s gotten really hard to find them anywhere (thanks a lot, women’s fashion industry). I did not want sausage-casing-style skinny jeans or leggings, super high rise pants that come to my ribcage, cropped pants that leave my ankles exposed and make me look short and stumpy, or “mom jeans” with giant holes in them.

I just wanted some primarily-natural-fiber, medium rise, medium leg width, full length, normal pants. Like the kind you could last buy in the ’90s. Thank you, Duluth, for making these functional and attractive normal pants.

I am 5’3″ 115-120lbs, with an athletic body type (trim waist, muscular thighs). I ordered the size 2/29 and they fit like a glove. The rise comes up a little below my bellybutton and they are perfect through the hips and bum.

The legs are on the wider side relative the last decade’s dominance of skinny styles, but they not frumpy. They are very flattering to the female form, especially with my skier/cyclist quadriceps. And with the 29″ inseam option, I did not have to go through the hassle of taking them to a tailor for shortening, because I really do have better things to do with my time.

Furthermore, the front pockets are quite deep compared to most women’s pants–like I can actually put things in there, who would have imagined! Good back pockets, too. The fabric is very substantial and seems well made.

Solid stitching. A touch of stretch. I now have these pants in three colors. My only quibbles are that the fabric does collect lint and fluff very easily, but I can live with that. And the color called “Moss” is not mossy at all, it’s more of a sage green.

Minor issues. Duluth, please continue to make pants in size 2. Your clothes tend to run really big, but lots of active people are small and wiry.

I work in an office setting so there is a lot of sitting however. I am constantly having to move around to answer the front door, retrieve boxes of paper, accept packages, twist around to grab something off of the printer, etc.

Several of the dresses/skirts/other pants I had been wearing were just either difficult or uncomfortable to move around in while wearing. After work I often will have to run an errand or once we get home run our dogs outside, help with the chickens, etc.

before I get a chance to change clothes. I am so so pleased with these pants. They are incredibly comfortably and flexible (not at all stiff), fit very well, and are very, very well made. They are exactly what they say they are – a very classic chino style that is very flattering and very functional/multi-purpose.

I had ordered several other types/styles of pants in with the same order and this one was one of my two favorites. Going by my measurements I am in between a size 8 and 10. If the 8 is cut a little loose/relaxed then that fits better.

If the pant is slimmer cut then a size 10. I actually ordered a size 12 in all of the pants that I purchased due to some ongoing medical issues and I wanted something loose fitting and a big baggy. These fit perfectly and are a little loose on me but are not baggy as are several of the other pants that I ordered so I would say these do run a little small on the sizing.

I do agree with other reviewers who state they would love to see this pant in more colors. I would love to see a few more shades like a “bourbon brown” or even a pink (like the wide leg crop pants) or an olive green or gray, stone, etc.

I have three pair of these pants, in black, blue, and that “mushroom brown” which is actually more of a faintly mossy, dark khaki color. They will shrink a little in the dryer; I air dried them for the first few months but then when I was unable to hang them outside, they went in the dryer on low heat.

Still shrunk slightly, but as the wonderful sales associate had mentioned this possibility, I had taken that into consideration. I wear all three each week, a pair of bootcut NOGA Naturale pants for casual day, and whatever has been washed up on the last day of my workweek.

I love these pants. My only minor issue is the seam running down the front of the leg. It looks nice, but I have sensitive skin that frequently breaks out into hives when there is friction and pressure involved.

I’ve managed this with medication for years, and so the seam is just a minor irritation and not a deal-breaker for me. These are rugged, look great in the office, have nice sized belt loops (I’ve worn my gun holster leather belt with them for an after-work range “gals’ night” event – no sagging or drooping waist), and the front pockets are surprisingly deep but made of thin material so I am hesitant to put keys or anything heavy/sharp in them.

The back pockets come sewn shut for a slim profile, but they are indeed fully functional pockets if you want to rip out the stitching holding them closed – I haven’t. They are starting to look slightly faded after 2+ years of 1-2x weekly wear and washing.

I wash them with like colors, but the black and blue could probably be refreshed with fabric dye. I usually wear a 6-8 in other brands, but a Medium in the NOGA pants. For these I had to go with a size 10 with a 29″ inseam.

5′ 5″ and 137 lbs when first purchased, now post-COVID add 10 lbs. Still wear them as before, still love them, though the added weight makes the thighs a bit more snug than I prefer and the belt is no longer strictly required to stay up.

Flat buckle is best. Great pants!.

WOW!! These fit my 17 yr old nicely, like the model advertising them. He loves the material, the pockets accommodate iPhone 13 Pro Max and he can still squat and be comfortable. Now, only if y’all could make bootcut jeans that fit this well would be amazing.

At 6’8” with an “athletic” build, I have a hard time finding a tapered pant that fits my waist without being skin-tight through my quads. I’m no bodybuilder, but I don’t have the stick-legs that other brands seem to think every tall person has.

This cut is absolutely perfect. Just enough room in the thigh and tapered for a clean look. The fabric is super light, and the waistband has some flex, so I can wear them without a belt and they stay up on their own throughout the day.

By far my new favorite chino.

These pants fit exactly the way I want them to! Very rarely do I find something, being 6-8 240lbs, that is right style and fit! The flexible fabric is creates a great snug but not overly tight fit, incredibly comfortable pants.

By far my favorite pair of chinos… I only wish there were more colors in this size, particularly white.

Nice fit, very flattering on my husband who is actually between sizes at the moment due to weight loss. True to size, but easily “belt-able” and it actually doesn’t look crazy once a belt is on! He wears pretty low due to some strange combo of long torso and belly button ration between torso and legs, but it works.

Def recommend. Wears 32 length (ideally 31, but here we are,) and anywhere from a 34-38 waist depending on the brand. We size up for Abercrombie to 38 usually. (36 would fit in these, but we are belting them.

Super comfortable and breathable. The fabric has been perfect for the summer and its also very stretchy. I originally bought these because I couldn’t fit into an older pair of similar chinos from A&F anymore because my legs got too thick.

These are perfect if you need athletic fitting pants. More colors please !.

I’ve now ordered the ‘Khaki’ color TWICE and both times have been sent ‘Dark Khaki. ’ Super frustrating. The photos on the website show a distinctive difference (I. e. dark khaki is a darker shade, khaki is a lighter shade…which is why I bought it), so either the colors have changed or folks are not paying attention when sending out the product.

These are the best fitting khaki/chinos at a tremendous price point, and I own every color that has been offered over the past 5 years. The lighter khaki shade (not dark, not white, but plain jane khaki) is a timeless look…why is it so hard to purchase?.
