20 Best Chlorine Resistant Swimwear (2022 Updated)

I’ve owned a lot of speedo swimsuits and this one is similar to others: it stays in place well and is comfortable. I find speedo suits run a bit small, but their sizing is consistent. This swimsuit is better suited to smaller-chested swimmers.

This swimsuit was for my 10 year old daughter. First off, it’s very very cute with vivid colors. It has good coverage and stays where it needs too. There’s no constant needing to pull it up at the top or down in the bottom area even when it’s wet.

It’s made of quality material that you don’t see certain body parts as easily through it as other swimsuits. My daughter is constantly getting out of the pool or lake by sliding up concrete or rough wood door the dock.

After all of that it holds up, not even any pilling. No runs or tears. We love it and will buy more of Speedo brand.

We have bought this suit for my 7 year old daughter. This suit does not fit her size, 24 was a little too big on her. It looks really nice, is very comfortable and she loves the open back. If your child always had the double straps in the back, this one is something to get used to as it almost feels like you are naked in the back.

The only negative about the suit is the material its made up of, its not the smooth version so if there is something sharp sticking out like your nail when you r putting the suit on, the stiches will come out and due to the bright color of the suit can be very visible.

Otherwise, definitely worth the price.

Well made, fits well swimsuit for this 64 year old swimmer. Strong straps keep the suit on during lap swimming, Good coverage in all the right places, and the suit does not ride up or produce wedgies.

Only complaint is the cups, which are not sewn in place. After a machine wash, the cups fold over, and I have to manipulate them back into place. It is a frustrating process, and I invariably end up with visible creases in the cups.

I love the suit, however, so much that I bought it in two colors. Too early to determine durability. I am concerned that all this cup manipulation will result in a fabric tear though. Only time will tell.

I am a regular swimmer — 3 days a week. I’ve had many TYR suits over the years and have preferred them to Speedo and other brands. Each one lasted for up to 3 years. 2 months ago I ordered 2 suits — square neck fitted.

Within 2 uses the bra inserts on both suits moved around and are mushed up — looking really weird. It would be impossible to fix this without cutting the thread around the inserts and removing the pads.

Very disappointed — don’t want these removed. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? Otherwise the suits fit well.

The only complaint I have about this suit is that the bra cups can’t be removed. In similar suits bought from Tyr, there was an opening through which you could pull the cups out. This suit has no such opening.

The cups themselves are useless to me. They don’t support anything, and they are not anchored in place, so they tend to fold over themselves and bunch up, and it’s a chore to try to get them to lay the way they are supposed to.

That’s why I always remove the cups when there is a way to do so without cutting into the lining. Thus my complaint about them not being removable.

Mostly as described – To our benefit, indicated as “preowned”; instead was NWT (New With Tags) – an exceptional price for quality (and name brand), and new! Who knew?! Sized accordingly/sized as ordered; no apparent flaws.

Great product!.

Nowhere on the suit does it say women’s or girl’s. I bought a size 14, one size larger than I wear, and couldn’t get it on. Took it back to store and asked salesperson to find out if it was girl’s or women’s.

She couldn’t do it. The STORE can’t tell me that? It’s the second time this summer this has happened. I swim. I use a lot of suits. I’ll now buy them elsewhere.

So to start with I bought a 12 Hyper Blue and it was to long for my torso so I brought it back and got the size 10. Love the look the blue is amazing. Did not like the hydro-bra. The elastic and shaping as well as the pads show through the suit.

I took out the pads that was a little better but still wasn’t impressed also felt if wet it would take forever to dry. So I started to cut out the bra portion of the suit. I’ve done this with other suits before.

This was a mistake as the front lining does not cover behind the bra area. Hence the outlines showing through. Ooops. To late. So I had to finish. Unfortunately because the liner was sewn into the bra I had to remove it in its entirety and before I knew it I had taken out to much and didn’t leave anything in the crotch as well…ooops again.

Anyhow I tried the suit back on and “ Oh my god” the fabric feels amazingly good. I looked in the mirror and it looked good except maybe a bit of nipples showing. I could live with that. A small price to pay for it feeling so amazing.

I went to the pool it held up great but was taken back a bit by a couple stares until I realized it was a tad transparent at least the lighter blue trim certainly was and the rest not quite as bad. Oops.

In a way still glad I removed the liner. Oh also note there was a bit of a camel issue as well. So if your feeling really sexy don’t remove the lining at least leave something in the crotch area. Other than that buy two suits and try it with one you won’t be sorry.

Dicks has it on sale for $64. 00. It’s a steal. Sorry photo would not load. Perhaps I’ll try to load one later.

I have had countless of these suits in several different colors. I am a 67 year old woman and I have been swimming my whole life so I’m still in pretty good shape. I love the high cut of the legs and the cups.

The breasts aren’t what they used to be so the cups are greatly appreciated and the higher legs keep it from looking like a granny suit. Rinsing the suit in cold water and hanging to dry after will keep it going much longer.

This bathing suit looks great in the front and works well for exercise swimming. However, the low back at the bottom is too low and it shows flab – even if you don’t have much. By pulling that back upwards, it reduces the problem, but then I have to remember to pull it up.

A better suit is the one with the thinner “spagetti straps” which comes up in the back to waist height and therefore doesn’t pinch fat in an unseemly way. The procurement of this product on ebay was excellent – completely satisfied!!.

I ordered these poles to use as a back up for my other poles. When I got them, I was impressed with their features. I was surprised to find that the straps were designated as “L” and “R”. I have owned numerous hiking poles and have never seen this.

I noticed that the grips were different for the right and left hands. I have always used poles that had a compression locking system that tighten when you turned the pole segment. These have a stationary locking system that appears to be very tight.

I am not sure, but it looks like you may be able to tighten them up if they expand. Overall, I am well pleased with these hiking poles.

Bought my daughter 2 sizes of the same swimming costume purely because after using the measurement guide previously she needed the bigger size top. We kept the swimming costume that fit and returned the other but could only get a credit note, not a refund.

Had we returned as we received I would have had to pay return postage. This isn’t good customer service, considering all other shops say you can return to any shop free of charge. It is a good costume but I only chose Sports Direct because the costume was slighter cheaper.

Had a known I would have been this much out of pocket I would have got the same one from elsewhere.

This is my favorite suit. I’m in the water for practice multiple times a week and this holds up to hard practice, to salt or chlorine pools, and this brand has lasted longer than any other suit. This particular style is my favorite since it holds like a sports bra, the leg isn’t low cut, so it doesn’t rub weird, and I prefer the straps to the skinny kind.

Best speedo out there, best practice suit out there.

Normally I look like the poster child for Lands’ End. I love their clothes, they fit well and they’re very comfortable. But I have tried two swimsuits and I will never order another one. Swim shorts fit just fine.

Swimsuits are so tight in the chest that you could use them for an iron lung. The first one I bought was a tankini so I thought perhaps maybe that was just a little tight in the top the way it was cut.

The one I just bought is a scoopneck and although I used to wear a long torso, I had material bagging up in front of my crotch. The suit fits fine from my rib cage down other than the baggy material at the bottom.

But it’s not too tight. It is so tight in my chest and in my shoulders that I cannot breathe. That’s the way the tankini fit. Mind you there’s not much of a bra so all that’s doing is smashing everything as flat as humanly possible.

I am not a large woman. I am 5’5”, 63 years old and weigh 138 pounds. Normally I wear a 10 to an 8 in Lands’ End. I went by the size measurements and went with the recommended size 10. The material is just too tight in the top.

Way too tight. Absolutely will never order another one.

Okay, y’all. This isn’t a cute beach bathing suit, but it is great for swimming. I bought it in extra length and it fits perfectly. It will cover your entire bottom and part of your thighs. I’m pear shaped and my waist to hip ratio is pretty high, so I sized up and I’m glad I did.

I do think I could have worn my normal size, but I’m recovering from a spinal injury and can’t tolerate anything tight. I bought this to walk laps in the pool and do water aerobics, and I think it will be perfect.

There’s no chance of the girls escaping, which is my usual issue with two pieces, and I don’t have to worry about what is showing when I move. Typically when I buy a one piece I have to size up a few sizes to get the length I need, and I appreciate that I don’t have to do this in this style.

That being said, I’m not super tall though I have a long torso, so it might not be long enough if you are very tall.

I bought this suit in the navy tropical color a few weeks ago when it was on sale at Kohl’s. I purchased a couple of Tankinis from LE with underwires and had to send them back because they had an unusual fit and were very uncomfortable, size 18W.

I’m a 5’3” +/- 170 lbs. 60+ year old, and I wear a 40C bra size. I tried a size 16 one piece as mentioned above in the store and was blown away. I swear, this is the best fitting suit I’ve ever had! The soft cup bra was supportive and the suit style slimming.

Liked it so much, I ordered it in the black color from the LE website, received it today, and lo and behold, same great fit! I am one happy customer and I am so glad I made this purchase! I would definitely recommend this swimsuit for a comfortable and supportive fit!.

Perfectly fine suit, exactly as shown, but not ideal for lap swimming. I reviewed the size chart and asked for size guidance, and had to swallow my pride and order a suit that is 2 sizes larger than the size I wear in clothing.

It fits well and I am grateful to have something that fits. But I swim laps, and when I swim, the water swooshes into the bosom and pushes it down a bit, and I think it adds drag. If I were doing it over, I would get something with a higher neckline so the water wouldn’t fill it up there.

I also could do without the foam cups.

This is my second purchase from swimsuits for all. This time it took a little longer arrive. Then the color was blue not green like I ordered. Disapointed because their return policy would cost me the savings from the original sale price and having to wait longer for it to arrive.

So I kept the blue one. As for the quality, finest swim wear I have ever owned. The fit is perfect. The colors don’t fade out. Extremely comfy! Even while body surfing ocean waves or just kayaking, it stays in place.

I would not go anywhere else for a swim suit. Customer for life.

I have been buying krinkle suits for over fifteen years. The suits have been durable and saw me through many years of three times a week classes. I love they are completely lined and that the lining wore out before the suit itself.

I recently purchased a new suit and noticed a big difference in the quality of the new Krinkle fabric. The weave is very different And I hope it will hold up as well as those long lasting suits of the past.

I have 5 of these in different colors and 2 different sizes. There is definitely a difference in quality from the first one I bought to the more recent purchases. The fabric seems slightly thinner and the krinkle is not as tightly knit.

The sizing is not exactly consistent. The tops seem more stretchy in the straps so they do not hold as firmly. I do not think they should cost over $70 plus shipping anymore.

This is my third Krinkle swimsuit and I have been pleased with them and how they fit. However the right leg of this suit does not fit as well as the other suits. It keeps riding up as if it has not been measured right.

I usually love the suits because they are modest and I don’t have to tug at them to stay down and cover my bottom. This one is a disappointment! I love the color, just wish that it fit like my other suits do.

I do wish you offered more long torso choices.

I have been swimming regularly for many years and going through these Nike one piece swimsuit. One major positive is the bra padding and support. Prices here also beats retail stores. I just make sure I buy new with tags and wash before use.

The material of the swimsuit felt thin and had too much stretch to it. The suit did not feel secure and I ended up returning it.

Solid basic black option. Smaller on bottom so fit is tricky, snug. Constantly have to adjust bottom but going up in size would have made it huge everywhere else. Straps do tend to ride to sides, making it feel like they’re falling off.

I swim regularly in an indoor pool – almost every day. I have worn Speedo costumes for many years and continue to buy them as I feel totally comfortable when in the water. However, there are two disadvantages: Firstly the sizing.

I have read other reviews commenting on this and I strongly endorse the fact that the Speedo size comes up small. I wear size 8/10 clothes. With Speedo I have to buy a size 14 UK for a comfortable fit.

I have now got used to this. Secondly, I have had several costumes perish very quickly. The fabric starts thinning at the back by the bottom first then moves tom the front stomach area. This is despite rinsing in cold water, washing at a cool temp each time and allowing to dry thoroughly.

I have given this feedback to Speedo customer services but have got nowhere. It is very disappointing especially as these are expensive items. I live in hope that my current striped version won’t go the same way.

I brought these for my 15 yr old teenage daughter as she needed a pull pieces swimming costume for school. She says she is happy with them on and they aren’t see through but I am not happy with them.

They are very very sheer, I would say they wouldn’t last many wears before they are see through and they don’t come lined or with an actual inside shelf bra. The description could have been better to say if they were thick fabric or lined etc.

for Speedo brand which I always buy, I was extremely disappointed and it makes it even harder that in this day and age sports direct won’t offer a refund on swim wear even if it’s got the hygien sticker on.

Makes it hard to buy swimming costumes online. I also brought another pair at the same time for her twin sister which were much better quality.

I wear a size 10 or 12 in clothes. The speedo size guide doesn’t actually appear to be on the JL website, the drop down just opens a description of the company. I found the size guide easily enough via google, a 34 is meant to be a 12.

I read that speedo comes up small so ordered the 36 – i could have worn the 38 (a 16) easily. If between sizes, size up, maybe twice, but otherwise a great and flattering suit that feels secure enough to actually swim in rather than just float about or sun bathe.

They took all the trouble to put in a fantastic sturdy little built in bra. They then set the bra in so low that it doesn’t provide any support. The tankini shoulders hold none of the weight of my chest.

If the bra had been set higher the shoulders would carry the weight, so I don’t have to be tugged on by the weight, which is physically uncomfortable. I have looked everywhere for a fitting swimsuit and am extremely frustrated by the total lack of support for my chest.

Retailers, in the era of the sports bra, the lack of support for large chested women in swimsuits is ridiculous. I am about at the point where I am going to swim in althetic gear instead. Althetic gear looks better, fits nicely, and both shapes and supports a woman’s chest.

Althetic gear is also cheaper. I’ll see the straps shorter to get the bra working. I’m frustrated that it’s been this difficult to find a swimsuit for a body that has curves. My figure look’s unflattering in this swimsuit.

It looks great in the sports bra and shorts I just bought. They are basically made of the same materials. Why can’t retailers put in support for our bodies to be comfortable, covered, and flatter, our attractive features?.

As a longtime LE fan of the high neck tankini, I am extremely disappointed in the quality and cups in this top. First, the cups are huge, even for a regular. If you are average size with a smaller bust then these will likely be too big.

Second, the cups are not removable, so you can’t change them. They keep arriving with dents and creases, and the LE recommdations to wash/dry and wear don’t work. I even tried steaming them, but that didn’t help.

I can’t wear it with dents and excess room because I don’t fill the big cups. It looks like I have an abcess, especially if I put something over it. For reference, I am 130 lbs and wear LE 8-10. I loved this style because I could wear it to exercise, swim, and even daily activities because it looked like a cute tank top.

Plus, it is so nice not to have to put sunscreen on my back. It’s nice they cater to D sizes, but millions of women are average and smaller, so it’s a shame. I really wish the LE designers would fix this and make smaller and not such big cups, and make them removable if there was a problem.

Until then, I’ve found another company with high neck tankinis and smaller removable cups.

I have purchased multiple Land’s End bathing suits over the years. They wear wonderfully and the fit is always good. I purchased this suit to take on vacation because I liked the solid back and the snaps in the front.

Never bothered to try it on because, as stated, I have multiple suits and they all fit well. When I put this on I laughed, the cups hit about two inches below where they were supposed to. my girls were not even close to fitting in the cups no matter how many times I tried to get it to work.

It was like the torso was designed for someone with a very short frame–since I brought this on vacation I had no choice but to wear it to the beach, thankfully I had a rash guard shirt to wear over it.

The suit fit in every other way but the cups were just not where they needed to be. When I got home, and because I had already worn the suit, I ended up tossing it because I knew I would never wear it again.

Very disappointed in the design of this suit.

I am 5’5 130# …..the material does not cover butt very well. Material “rides up”. I do love the fit up the top w/inserts. That part looks great!

Ideal swimsuit for regular swimming, racing back but not too low and with bust support…love it! Will def order this shape again & from recycled material…win win!

Very disappointed in this suit. It was suggested to order one size larger which I did. Big mistake! It is very loose despite the fact that I have put on weight and my clothes are tight. In other words it runs large! The cut across the top is higher than any of my other Swim and Sweat suits and is somewhat uncomfortable as a result In short and am very disappointed in this suit.

In the past returns were free though I have only once had to return a suit. Now there is a charge for returns and, based on the charge and the inconvenience of making a return, I will not keep this suit but will be donating it to charity!.

I called instead of ordering on line cuz I have been tricked in the past with the measurements and sizes. I was told to get the Aquamore crinkle-y one in same size as my usual Krinkle. You could have put another person in the suit with me.

After I said as much to SnS I was not charged for return shipping but then missed out on the sale price etc when I ordered my recent last Krinkle suit. so in short careful trying to figure out Aquamore sizes…apparently fabric is a big factor as well as fit.

BTW, when are you going to tell us that you no longer are carrying Krinkle? Strong push on us to buy Aquamore.

I do water aerobics every day. I am tired of my bathing suits fading in the chlorine. One of my friends recommended that I try the bathing suits from Swim and Sweat. I am so glad that I did. The quality of the suit is great.

Sizing is true to size. And the styles are exactly what I was looking for. I had a problem with one of my suits and the customer service department took care of it immediately. I look forward to a long relationship with this company.

Love the color! I chose the active back bc the straps don’t slide off my shoulders and gives a bit more back support. The sizes run small. I did have to exchange for next larger size. The whole exchange process was very clear and easy.

While I am waiting on the refund, I am confident it will come. I had another chlorine resistant which lasted several years. Love these!.

I’ve used this brand of plus sized bathing suit for years. I’m 340 lbs, take the size 26, it fits well. I’m in the pool 5 days, 52 weeks a year. I have 4 suits, don’t rinse them out (probably should) they tend to last 4+ yrs each, usually the lining gives first.

Color holds, even the vibrant ones. Always get compliments on them. I get the cross front and feel more secure with it due to a large chest. After many years of usage in very highly chlorinated pools, I have given these the ultimate stress test and they keep passing with flying (fun) colors!!.

I swim 3 days a week and so need chrorine resistant swimsuits. I bought my 3rd one -a lovely sea blue color. My previous two lasted for over 10 years – so these suits are perfect for anyone who spends any amount of time in a pool.

I love the colors, the racer backs – so straps stay in place even during deep water exercises.

Not used this yet as we got this for future use, our daughter is in a rapid growing phase so we purchased two size in turquoise/black and the pink in a 32. The quality of the products are good, except the black silver costume, where the silver tarnishes after just one use! Several members of the swim squad Wigan Best in Manchester have had the same issue.

The product is used for elite swim training, but the ** always like to look their best, being fashionable, which is why they use Arena goods, usually very high quality with style. On this occasion not so and a chat with your textile manufacture is required to resolve this issue.

My daughter (aged 14) loves her costume, as do I. She wore this last week for the first time for the warm up of a competition. The colour definitely stands out. Height/frame didn’t come into the equation, my daughter is the opposite of the previous review.

After having to reorder some different costumes as the others came up far too short on the body for my 10 year daughter (tall and skinny) this worked for us. The straps at the back are adjustable which works for us as the larger sizes that fit the body are usually too baggy and therefore we could pull this in.

Fantastic design. Not worn to swim in yet.

As my vacation to an all inclusive resort was going to be my first step towards my hijab journey, it was important for me to find modest swimwear that I can feel good about and good within. Lyra’s swimwear – the Sofia in Mink and Aztec – gave me the confidence I needed to feel beautiful and modest 💙 I had people smile at me as they saw me on the beach or resort and I felt way more beautiful in these gorgeous pieces than any bikini, any day! As I only brought 2 with me on the vacation, I was nervous if it would take a long time to dry but these pieces dry so quickly thankfully! The one call out I would ensure everyone is aware of is to make sure you guys the bra to wear underneath 👍🏽 I would love if in future redesigns, a built in bra could be included to provide further modesty already built within, and not having to purchase an add on.

Other than that, truly grateful for Lyra and can’t wait to rock these again in the future, InshAllah!.

I really love this burkini. I bought a medium- I was on the border between M and L. But regardless it fits very fitted, maybe I should’ve gone for L…an excuse to workout I guess 🙂 I do feel as a modest swimwear company there needs to be a modest size option where it’s more loosely made perhaps.

Bcs we are not always going to be in the water and I felt the need to wear a kaftan outside the water. The skirt is very nice in adding modesty coverage. The suit itself is beautifully made and not see through when wet.

The shirt is a one piece swimsuit (which is not shown by the model) and you wear the skirt and pants on top. So it’s 3 pieces.

I bought so many other swimsuits from other brands but felt the fit wasnt good or look. As petite person, it was hard to find modest swimwear that looks really good until I bought Sofia from Lyra. It was the best buy.

From packaging to quality and detail has been top notch. I been telling all my sisters to get theirs too. I highly reccomend, and looks good in every shape. Im 5’2 and size xs , yet makes me feel confident.

It’s taken me ages to find a speedo swimsuit and this is the one. It’s the most expensive in the range but after trying a few it’s worth it. I have a long body and so many are too short. This fits well.

Wide adjustable straps and a flattering square neckline. Tried it in the pool today and very comfortable. Very happy with the design and fit. Generally speedo is small but it’s good to have a sleek fit in the water.

I have made the mistake of getting a larger size in the past and it’s not so good for swimming. I still order UK 12 but size 10 in clothing.

After struggling to find a swimming costume that would fit post-pregnancy, this was a winner. I estimate I am currently a clothes size 12/14. As I have a large bust, I ordered this in the largest size (18/40) and it fit better than others I had tried and provided enough coverage.

Ideally the straps could be a bit wider or stronger to provide more support, but in general this is a good swimming costume.

I am a standard size 10 at most stores, and I sized up one size to a 12 which fit perfectly. This swimsuit is a really good option for either holidays or local pool use as it is modest but stylish. There is a double layer across the bust and offers a little bit of support.

Overall very nice quality.
