11 Best Commercial Adjustable Weight Bench (2022 Updated)

Overall good quality. Packaging was very good. Weld quality is typical of most mid-tier Chinese imports. The paint finish was excellent. The pad material is fantastic and grippy. The back of the pad material is super thin, but who cares.

The seat and back pad have poorly threaded inserts causing difficulty in starting the bolt. The pads are very light and feel to be 3/8 of an inch. the back pad tapers, i wish it was the full width the entire length of the pad, as the full width would help with stability while benching I would not expect this bench to hold up to a 1000 pound load.

(for example a 300 pound user benching 700 pounds. ) The pivot hinges do not have bushings (or have inadequate bushings) which allow the upper pad to move side to side slightly at the pivot. At lighter weights, the wobbly pivot is no issue, however using heavy dumbbells exposes an issue with stability.

the wheel and handle are great for moving the bench. Overall nice bench for middle weight use.

Bought this because I felt if this was originally a $600 bench, then at $300 this is a better deal than the Ethos $300 bench that only does flat/incline whilst this is “supposed” to do flat/incline/decline.

This bench is very sturdy and heavy but it has handles and wheels to move it around easily. The problem with this bench is quality control. The first one I bought from the Dicks store sounded like it had sand in the box.

The box was in dilapidated condition and had holes in it. Metal shot fragments felt out the holes in the box and were rattling inside of the bench tubes. I am assuming this is from the manufacturing process (shot blasting/peening) and wasn’t cleaned thoroughly prior to boxing.

The main issue was that the legs were wobbly on a hard flat surface (like my garage and hardwood floors). I’d say one leg wasn’t welded on straight and one corner would probably need a 3mm spacer to make it level.

The third issue is that at “flat” setting, it’s not 0deg flat. more like 2-3 deg inclined which is very obvious when you look at the bench with a level surface in the background. That said it was a pain to box up the bench with all the foam shipping pieces and lug it back into my large SUV to bring it back to the dicks store.

I ended up exchanging it for another one. no shot blasting fragments but still with flat mode being slightly inclined. At least the wobble is minimum on my second bench. Don’t feel like returning my 2nd bench so I guess I will reluctantly keep it.

Regarding the decline, there’s only one angle for it but at this negative angle, the bench feels like it sits high because my feet don’t comfortably sit flat on the ground (i’m 5’8″ with 31 inseam).

I bought this bench for my home during the pandemic. It’s no fuss and gets the job done. I am 6’2” tall @ 210lbs and it’s a good fit. Seat on the bench looks small (triangular shaped) compared to others, fits my frame well so I don’t notice the size.

The seat and bench foam looks thin, hard, but a comfortable medium to higher density – better than soft, right? I like the textured, grippy vinyl covering – I think it will hold up nicely(?); it stretches out a bit during a workout and relaxes back in place – eventually – so far- so not cheaply made, BUT, perhaps it could be a bit thicker.

Also, this bench is heavy (93lbs) so moving it around does take considerable effort. Like I said, it is solid, not junky, does not wobble and would do well in a commercial space and home. I should mention, the wheels are of good quality and roll smoothly.

From a performance standpoint, I don’t really miss anything as far as positions and movement. There are no pins to lock in place. Gravity (weight of the parts) takes care of keeping all in place. The legs do not get in the way and I love the height (18+ inches just a bit over 17.

2” standard for most lifting benches. ). What’s missing for me: The decline is only -10 degrees, would be nice to see an extra 10. Plus, given the price a leg accessory attachment would be nice. I don’t mind the width of the bench and the height gives me just enough space to do prone trap rows with arms hanging straight down – no mechanism getting in the way.

Overall, a solid purchase. ZIVA – good products, but a shameful customer service. No response via phone or email with sorely lacking customer education. I’m ALL about customer service. So much so, I might return the bench.

I don’t like the idea of not getting NO response case this thing doesn’t last. Plus, I am not interested in subscription workouts or the community features of shared workouts. Not my thing, just communicate with me, ZIVA, and make me feel there’s someone at the wheel of your company.

I recently purchased this bench and it is well constructed. It comes assembled except for the easily installed foam cushions for the seat and back. The bench is solid and does not wobbly. The only negative (strictly personal) is that the foam padding is extra firm and may take awhile to get accustom to.

In the event you decide to pick this up from a store, it is in a huge box which may not fit in a standard car. I am building out my home gym and this bench is a great addition. I highly recommend.

If you’re looking for a good bench rather than a cheap one, without spending crazy money, then I’d recommend this one. It’s really stable, very well made, easy to use and is comfortable when lifting heavy loads.

Just make sure that when you assemble it (minimal amount of work) you put the bar with the wheels on the right way. I put mine the wrong way around at first and the bench slid because of it. Realised my mistake and put it on the correct way and hey presto problem solved.

It’s not the cheapest bench but from a value for money perspective, it’s very, very good!.

Easy to put together and move about. Sturdy, comfortable and feels and looks like an expensive unit. Handles easily more weight than I will ever be able to lift. Very pleased, probably will purchase the accessories that go with it!.

Hello, I recently purchased the Powerblock Sport Weight Bench. I wanted something to use at my residence when I was not able to get to the gym. This bench has far exceeded my expectations. FID bench (Flat Incline Decline) with a small enough footprint to use in my bedroom.

The space saving design makes this an incredible bench and the inline type wheels makes it very easy to transport or move to another area with ease. Great purchase, prompt delivery and basically maintenance free design.

My son uses this regularly. Strong bench with sufficient decline and incline range for most exercises and users. The bench is really rugged but also clean looking. We only have a small area of 2 foot or so that can be used to store this out of the way and the wheels and the fact it folds down allow this bench to be stored upright in the same sort of space an upright hoover would take.

That said, this bench is probably about 8 inches or less if you want to store it collapsed but laid out under a bed or similar. My hand span I think is no more than seven inches or so. The image of the bench is slightly deceiving as my hand would span the height from floor to top of bench when collapsed but I was having to hold the seat to prevent it falling away from cabinet it is stored against.

Other hand obviously on phone taking photo and so not as controlled. But the stored height is really quite amazing for such a strongly made item. Wonderful bit of equipment and it has revolutionised what our son can do with his powerblock dumbbells which have also been necessary due to restricted space.

Highly recommend Fitness Superstore and certainly recommend this bench. 5 Stars is an easy mark to give.

For the price, this was by far the best FID bench that I saw online. I’ve been using it for about 6 months with no issues. I’ve been doing incline bench press with 30kg dumbbells and the bench is totally stable.

delivery was fast. It’s light enough to easily move around on it’s wheels and fit well for me behind a door (when the door is open) The bench only loses one star because I think the back rest part is too short for anyone more than 6 foot (maybe even 5’11”).

I’d measure your torso length and check this will be long enough for you before ordering. It would also have been nice if the angle of the seat was adjustable.

Awesome bench. Only hiccup was having a nonadjustable seat when doing inclines and especially decline work because it’s hard to keep anchored and stable on the bench without sliding. Get the upgraded “FID” bench with the adjustable seat.

It’s worth the extra investment! I do love the convenience of it being foldable considering my limited space. The bench is otherwise solid & well built and easy to adjust.

This item is on par with any other cheaply made import item. Saying holds true, you get what you pay for. My particular bench, while serving its purpose, is poorly constructed. It does not sit straight, legs and back rest are both crooked, the slots to adjust elevation are welded out of place causing it to be misaligned and the bottom 3 spots virtually unusable, on the other end of adjustments, it doesn’t come close to adjusting to vertical for the same reason.

The bands are practically useless due to length. They need to be crossed over and wrapped to give enough tension for use. (although subjective, I’m average size at 5’10” and not overly muscular – I can’t use the bands).

I wouldn’t consider it a complete waste of money,it serves its purpose and gives me a bench to work out within my cheap budget. It just isn’t great. or even very good.

Excellent product, I have begun using it as soon as I received it in 12/2021 and it is still sturdy and easily adjustable. I began 2022 with using it in every workout practically and the small footprint of space it has when it’s folded fits my needs perfectly.

I would definitely tell friends and family to purchase this product.

The bench is not for commercial use. But for my wife and I it’s just fine. We hardly lift over 50 lbs, so the bench suits are use. We don’t have to worry about exceeding it’s 500 lb capacity. Some of the other benches in this price range are only rated for 300 lbs, meaning you don’t have much margin when a real bench presser uses those weaker benches.

This bench is easy to open up, and then to store. Assembly was easy, even for an old guy with shaky hands like me.

Initially I’m very impressed. Especially for the amount I payed. The legs are metal and the cushion on top feels good. No wobble at all even with an easy assembly. I can tell its clearly not commercial gym equipment just by its light weight but the manual says it will support 600lbs.

I tested 460 and I belive it will go further. Time will tell how long it lasts.

The holes on the bottom of the bench where you attaché the padded bench to the metal legs, do not hold the bolts. There are no groves! You cant get them to screw in because there are no groves. Its ridiculous.

You would have to pour glue in them and I’m not willing to chance it! Its not right! Its like ok I bought a piece of no good trash off Walmart dot com today, Now I have to go stand in line and return it! They should test them, before shipping them out to people! I’m not the only one who had this problem! Don’t even waste your time because I’m thinking its hit and miss with this one.

I was not sure what to expect when I ordered this bench, the price is very affordable compared to many of the others, I wanted something for home for workouts between the gym. I am actually quite happy with it.

Granted it’s not quite commercial gym quality but it will certainly serve my purpose. Very sturdy, good finish, has vinyl type cushion that should last. Assembly was no big deal. I would recommend this.

Love it! Been reluctant to purchase home gym equipment – prefer to go to the real thing – but the quality and price of this bench makes it possible to build a gym. Usually the unpacking is worse than the assembly, but they packaged the bench so that it was protected without excessive, painful unveiling.

The assembly was logical and breeze!.

12 inches wide with firm padded seat. Easy to assemble (approx 30mins) Only minor issue is that the feet are flat smooth metal so are prone to move easily (but not under load). I can easily remedy this with some rubber feet pads and would still award this bench full marks! Quality at a reasonable price.

This has been a great addition to my home gym. I’m 6 feet tall and a little over 200 pounds. I’ve used it for concentration curls, dips (but you need something else to prop your feet on), dumbbell flies, dumbbell press, various shoulder exercises, and various ab exercises.

It supports me well during every exercise I’ve performed on it. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that I would prefer a smooth vinyl-like cover that is easy to wipe off and clean. The cover on this bench is nice, but can absorb sweat in some areas.

Note: This bench isn’t very long. That is perfect for me since I have limited space, but if you’re looking for a long bench like you might find at some gyms, this might be smaller than you want.

The supercompact48 treadmill fits perfectly in my apartment. I love using it and its so easy. I wish it had a pause button but thats the only thing.

This bench is way nicer than I would have imagined. It is extremely sturdy, well built, and truly great quality. I don’t think I could have gotten a better bench for under $120. The decline is great, incline is awesome and having the bench upright is wonderful as well.

Skip the Amazon basics and grab this!! Set up was very simple and the directives were extremely easy to follow. Needless to say, I love this bench. Three things up from me.

It took me over a year to find a suitable workout bench. With all the home gyms everyone is trying to make, it’s hard to find stock in good equipment. This adjustable bench from Synergee is exactly what I needed.

The bench adjusts from standard flat to decline and 90 degree incline. Made with very heavy duty steel and easy to assemble with included hardware. The padding is nice and firm. The 1000 pound limit on this equipment is more than anyone needs.

This is probably the last bench I’ll ever need.

My son loves this bench. It is very sturdy and works well for him, it is a high quality bench. The bench handles the weights well. The wheels on it allows him to move it to where he wants it making it very portable.

He likes the incline and decline as he can move it into multiple positions. I highly recommend this bench as it is very high quality.

Purchased 3 AB-3 adjustable benches in April. Benches worked for one week. Pins repeatedly get stuck inside the adjustable holes and will not move. This created a huge problem because the back portion will not adjust and will stay in the same position.

Rogue sent us out 3 replaceable pins to replace the defective pins. Same problem occurred so they sent us 3 new benches. The 3 new benches worked for 2 weeks then we started experiencing the pins getting stuck inside the adjustable holes again.

Rogue claimed this never happened to any other customer, but we find this hard to believe that we received 6 new benches that has the same manufacturer defect. Rogue refuses to give us a refund when we requested a refund.

They offered to give us a store credit to purchase the cheaper model benches they sell on their website. Poor service and product. Very disappointed with them as a company. Will not purchase from them again.

After having some quality issues with the body power adjustable bench, I decided to send it back and spend the extra cash on this bench and the leg extension/furl attachment. Absolutely worth the extra cash.

The bench is super low compared to most others with leg extension attachments on the market. It feels way more sturdy and planted on the ground. All around great bench for the home gym! Great range of attachments available which I will be collecting over the coming months.

This bench is solid and perfect for the home gym. The ability to add a range of attachments makes this a great choice. But be warned fitness superstore are not reliable when it comes to delivery as further attachments ordered for this bench never arrived, with both contact and refund very delayed.

I was really happy to use this bench as I’m able to do wide range of training activities with this. Apart from that, the adjustable seat and backrest is a winner. Looking forward to getting the leg press attachment next.
