Good quality and good looking. I use mine daily while driving my motorcycle to work. I have an hour one way drive to work and Ive had my laptop in it through pooring rain. No problem at all. Even when my gore-tex gear lets water through I know that my laptop stays dry.

Got this bag two years ago. Historically, I went through work backpacks at a rate of about 2 a year. This bag will likely last longer than I will. Some may not like that it’s just a big opening without many organizers.
Get a yeti packing cube or two. It holds more than a traditional backpack and looks as good today as the day I bought it. I like the new backpacks but there’s no way it will last like the Panga. I get a lot of comments and questions – opportunities to share my love of this bag.

Light yet solid construction. You need to squeeze out as much air as you can before and as you roll the top. The compression feature will squeeze out some through the rolls, but it is slow. Fit my lightweight backpacking bag, a liner, and sleeping clothes with room to spare.
Scrunched down nicely. I don’t normally use these backpacking (I still use my Jansport external frame with wings). I am very tired of the water proof coating inside stuff sacks degrading and getting sticky after only a few years.
I think this silicone/nylon might be the answer I’ve been searching for. This will be great for saving space in the storage compartment when I am kayaking. I tend to not use dry bags because of the extra space they take, but I do use one for my sleep stuff and clothes.
I received this less than a month ago and I’m not disappointed. In fact, this is better than I expected. It’s sil-nylon so it is light weight, the cords are far more reliable than I anticipated. I wasn’t keen on the idea, until I started using it.
If you care for it in the same way you do other lightweight gear, and keep sharp objects away (like you do with your kids), this may be the last compression dry sack you need! I totally recommend this, and French kissing.
This bag appears to be well constructed. Strong seems and good fabric. The only downside I have was that I did not expect it to be so narrow and tall. I know that there are dimensions online but you really do not get a good impression of size until you see it.
It just seems a little oddly sized. Would like to find one that is larger in circumference and a little shorter in height.

Previously borrowed an older model SealLine bag of similar size and absolutely loved the reliability and ruggedness of it. Purchased this one, and it worked well until day 7 of 8 the first time we took this bag into the field (backcountry canoeing).
Several rows of stitching ripped where harness webbing is stitched directly to bag (rt shoulder area). This should never have happened as pack was used appropriately and weight was not excessive. Fortunately the remaining 1 or 2 rows of stitches held long enough to complete the last day without right side harness failing completely.
If not repaired/replaced, the bag will not survive another trip. Posted a warranty inquiry to SealLine- waiting to hear back if they will replace/repair under warranty. Apparently due to high service calls/repairs, their site suggested I should not expect a reply for 2-3 months.
Seriously? 🙁 With that I am only posting 2 stars for now- pending SealLine’s response to the matter.
Very easy to put together. My 10 year old son did most of it. I will say it takes way too long to put together because the parts are not labeled but they are in the manual. Why take the time to number and label with a name in the manual when the parts aren’t? We looked for one small part for 20 minutes that was wrapped up in a part that we didn’t need until the end.
The process should be much quicker. What took us about 9 hours could have been about 3 or 4 hours. Many hours wasted looking for things. The manual states in the beginning to check that there are no missing parts.
However, there is no list of parts, only a list of bolts, screws, and washers. So if a piece is missing you wouldn’t know until you are assembling it. If instructions were clearer this would be a 5 star.
I would recommend the product as it is well manufactured.
This is a rugged dry pack, and was suitable for our short and light weekend backcountry canoe trip. Shoulder straps are detachable, and of a higher quality than some options from other brands. Doesn’t get five stars from me for one reason – it doesn’t appear that the Boundary line features PVC-free construction, which is disappointing from an environmental perspective.

I’ve seen a lot of dry bags that are very heavy and thick. This bag is very lightweight and thin. I did accidentally bang it into a tree branch and punctured a small hole in it and had to gorilla tape it, but it did not run or rip after the puncture (and before I could tape it).
I’m sure the heavyweight bags are probably more durable, but I wanted something lighter and this was it. Plus, the price was much easier on the wallet than the heavyweight bags. I was able to stuff two sleeping bags into one of them, and plenty clothing items for two people for a week-long river trip in another.

Good if you are looking for something similar to the Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Day Pack or Ultra-Sil Nano Day Pack (super light super packable/crushable travel packs/light duty summit packs) BUT are wanting more features than just a basic single compartment shapeless sac.
2 side stretch pockets expand carrying capacity (bottles, poles, etc). 2 additional zippered pockets are practical. The slightly nicer harness and compression straps add a little bulk and weight over the lightest of the ultralight alternatives, but the trade off is a bit more load stability and comfort, as well as some gear tethering options all for under 200g.
Only con for me has been the dry bag roll top closure being less convenient than a zipper for quick in/out, but offers more water/snow protection. If waterproofness, compression straps and a sternum strap are less important to you the Osprey Ultralight Stuff Pack model is the closest zippered alternative and under 100g.
The Shadow Grey Osprey Stuff Waist Pack was what I needed. Note that the grey has a green hue and the size is 1. 5L It does compress into itself, but remains a decent sized ball. It will be quite wrinkled when unraveled and does not have much structure.
The quality is quite good, there is padding at the back, designed to be close to body, the zippers are smooth, it is spacious, and you can wear it crossbody (though the strap is thin). It is great for consolidating your essentials to empty your pockets and expedite going through security at the airport.
I’m sure it is good quality, however I was not expecting the bag to be what is was. The photo makes it look like the fabric holds itself a tiny bit. But really, the whole bag is like tent or parachute fabric, all around.
It would be good for someone who needs a bag/sack that can be wrapped to the size of a fist. (very small) Like those nylon grocery bags, but backpack format, and surely more durable. But it is really uncomfortable to wear, and not something I personally would pay that price for.

They are much more accessible than a stuffsack and, because of their shape, they tend to fit well into your pack. The “bath tub” construction leaves no seams to leak when they are set on the wet earth or in the bottom of a kayak for that matter.
I’m using this for a light weight food storage and hang. The durability for this purpose is a little dicey compared to what I’m used to when using a roll top dry sack for the same purpose, but the shape and convenience are worth trying.
The zipper is YKK but doesn’t seem to be one of those water tight ones. I’m hoping the bag will prove somewhat water resistant. I’m really pleased with the little reusable ditty bag it comes packaged in.
This is Much nicer to dig in and out of for snacks and food. the side-zip is a game changer. I found that I never quite remembered what I had along, and ended up forgetting about things in the bottom of the roll-top dry sicks I used previously.
I am dubious of its water resistance over long periods, and anticipate having to re-sew the handle on at some point. Both potential faults are the price paid for the weight savings, and haven’t been an issue while hanging it over night yet! Of course, if I were to pack all my food nicely in pre-selected day quantities, took out the snacks for the day when packing up, and didn’t over pack! my issues could have been solved without buying a new food sack.
I pack my dinners and breakfasts in my bear bag along with my stove. I use this bag to keep a week’s worth of lunches along with my baggie of personal items (toothbrush, paste, TP, sanitizer). I will pack this bag near the top of my pack so I can quickly get it out for lunch on the trail.
That way I don’t have to dig through all my food and down through my entire pack. The long zipper makes it easy to see and obtain anything I need or want. At the end of the day, after dinner, I pack this into my bear bag with the rest of my food and hang it up.

Had this pack for about 2 years. I like the concept and design. Unfortunately, this last week the outer zipper and water bottle bungee both broke. I emailed customer service, and was told they could not/would not repair it.
I was offered a 25% discount on a new bag (there is a site wide 20% discount on the home page). Thanks I will pass. Amazon has the same Chi-com bag for $50, or buy American made Condition 1 for $75.
This is a great product for my needs. I am mainly using it as a Get Home/ Grey man’s backpack for survival situations, so I won’t be using it everyday, but I know it will get me through any situation I would face.
All of my gear fits nice and snug and it feels comfortable when wearing it. There was one problem with my first backpack but customer service was able to clear it up quick and easy. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

First off, I loved the look, simplicity and weight of this brand of packs. It was expensive so I did a lot of research before settling on this one. I took it out on the Timberline Trail around Mount Hood this past week and will give feedback on how it performed there.
Pros: easy to fit all my gear and food for 4 days on the trail. I used HMG stuff sacks and pods so organization was on point. Side Pockets fit two water bottles, my tent stakes and a lightweight chair.
Mesh pocket held toiletry kit, Chacos for water crossings and my rain gear. Phone fit well in the hip pocket with chapstick and first aid kit on one side and day snacks in the other. My pack was 27 pounds and it carried that amount well.
I got black even though I really wanted white but I knew the white pack would show so much dirt on the bottom and it would drive me nuts;) Cons: I’m petite (5’1 and 112#) and the straps really dug into my traps and shoulders.
It became painful over the course of the trip almost to an annoying level. A little more padding there would be nice but I realize that would add to the weight. Maybe this is normal or doesn’t impact those with broader shoulders or more body fat there.
I wish the white pack had a black bottom because then it wouldn’t get so dirty looking when it’s on the ground at camp. I understand dirt is part of the deal but a girl can dream! If it had this feature I’d have bought it in white for sure since it’s lighter and brighter! It’s the only reason I went with black.
Overall pretty happy, would recommend, and my husband made a comment about how sweet my set up was.
This is my 3rd HMG pack. Needed one in this exact size, which is perfect for a big day or a long overnight alpine mission in the North Cascades. Works great for multiday backpacking. I use a larger porter for longer and heavier mountaineering trips.
Durable, simple, lightweight, comfortable, keeps my contents dry without liner or cover (lots of rainy days here in PNW). Love the hip pockets. Comfortable to me up to 25 lbs, but I’m usually carrying less weight for this porter size.
I have chronic back pain and have tried numerous packs over the years- the HMG design works for my ergonomics and keeps my back happy. This pack design has been a revelation for my back comfort.
