20 Best Dust Remover For Home (2022 Updated)

I’ve had this air filter for over a year now and I have to say it’s been amazing. I didn’t realize how stale and stagnant the air was in my place before using this air purifier. The Coway AP-1512 HH pulls in “dirty” air from its face and pushed out “clean” purified air from the top! It is a bit of a chunky unit, but it is minimal in design and unobtrusive.

I do pop open the front face of the unit every couple of weeks to vacuum the “first” filter. This part of the air purifier catches all of the chunky/larger bits (human hair, dog hair, dust bunnies) before flowing through the other 2 filters.

the filter check/reset button 6. the air quality indicator light Most of these buttons are self-explanatory, this system is so very easy to use! With the speed adjuster button, you can alternate between 5 speed modes to run it on: Auto, 1, 2, 3, and Eco.

Auto changes the filtration speed rate (between levels 1,2,3) depending on the air quality in the room. Level 1 and 2 are pretty quiet, but level 3 sounds like a large fan has just turned on — which makes sense because it is pulling in pushing out a lot of air! To be honest, I’m not quite sure what Eco does because I always have it on Auto! With the filter check/reset button, the air filter will tell you when it is time to change your HEPA filter and/or your carbon filter.

The HEPA filter only needs to be changed once a year, while the carbon filter is recommended to be changed every 6 months. The filters are also very easy to replace. The air quality indicator light has 3 light colors: blue, purple, and red.

Blue meaning good while a red light means bad air quality. There is a small air quality sensor located on the right side of the air filter. I’ve blown air from my mouth into the sensor it automatically changes the air quality indicator from blue to red.

Good to know that my mouth is full of germs 🦠 (as if 2020 didn’t remind us of that ALLL the time). If I could have something to nitpick about this unit, I wish there was an option to dim the indicator light.

It is very bright and distracting during the nighttime and makes it hard to sleep. There was an easy solution for my only complaint — I just stack a small book on top before I go to bed every night. Bonus points for this air purifier looking like a giant iPod touch!!.

I had a previous model and talked my allergy-suffering mother into buying this model. I then bought this model too because I was impressed with it. I’ve had this air purifier for a couple years now and am very happy with it.

I’ve compared it to some other name brands and have found the air flow to noise ratio is superior to every other similarly priced air purifiers. I currently have a different brand in my living room, and this one in my bedroom since it still moves a fair amount of air on the lowest setting (which is silent).

My only gripe is with the cost of the replacement air filters. They say it lasts a year, but unless you already have central air with HEPA filters, this has not been my experience with either Coway air purifiers I’ve owned.

They should really offer heavy discounts and bulk packs on the filters. I would be fine buying in bulk to save money, but I haven’t seen this option. While I am happy with the air purifier, I wish the carbon filter used the pellet method instead of the coated foam method.

The pellet method has been shown to be significantly more effective at removing VOCs and lasts much longer than the foam coated carbon filter. Their new models have this, so depending on the cost of filters, I will likely purchase one of those and pass my other brand onto a friend of family.

I rent a house and my bedroom is right above the garage. The landlord runs his landscaping business from the garage so all his tools are in there. I don’t know what changed but the last few months my bedroom started to strongly smell like gasoline.

The fumes would even start to burn my nose a little. What worried me the most is that my newborn son was sleeping in this bedroom too and I was concerned for his health. After much research we decided to get the Airmega AP-1512HH and we are so happy that we did! That very first night that we used it the air smelled crisp and clean and we have not had any smell of gasoline fumes since then.

And I can sleep calmly at night knowing that my son is breathing clean air.

My favorite new household item! My son suffers from terrible allergies. He has about 15 and most of those are related to mold dust and dander. We have a dog and we had no idea that the allergies were related to her so to have an air purifier that actually helps my son to not sneeze is so important.

It’s a quiet machine it filters the air and I’m always worried about it because we have a dog and fish and I cook a lot. We also leave the doors open and any of the other natural allergens are in our house at any given time because the windows are open.

Some seasons have been harder but this little machine has been really awesome. It was so easy that my 10-year-old set it up for me. It really took about 10 minutes or less to get it going and we use it as needed but it works.

I also like that there is an app. It makes it really easy to control and there is a way you can lock it on top so if you have a baby or a little one who likes to play with buttons it doesn’t even look like it’s on, the lights go dim and you can’t see that it’s on.

It’s actually really cool. I’m really impressed of the technology and absolutely love this air purifier. What a difference it makes!.

I bought a Levoit 400S and 2 smaller Winix units at Home Depot. The Levoit 400S is excellent and the controls and features are nice. I like the particulate counter and the easy to understand air quality ring indicators.

The unit is very quiet at low speeds but still moves a good amount of air. Also excels at removing cooking odors. The 2 Winix units I was not so pleased with. They were noisier and one was vibrating excessively; from a mechanical viewpoint that is a bad sign.

So I replaced both Winix with the Levoit 400S, now I have 3 and I am very pleased. Of course the local Home Depot having the 400S on sale for $99. 99 also helped. I researched the Levoit brand and was sold on all of the positive reviews and awards.

This all started with me viewing the Hunter HP450 on HSN; I feel like I got a much better product in the form of the Levoit 400S. I don’t mind the bigger size 400S for the bedrooms they are so good and quiet they are worth making room for.

But of corse if that is an issue Levoit has a smaller unit that I am sure is just as excellent.

I have 2 of these in my small bedroom, and 5 more of these throughout my small one-bedroom apartment. These have worked perfectly to help filter out pathogens like viruses, dust, and germs. I breathe a lot better, too.

Because I have so many in my small apartment, I turn off the Plasmawave feature for most, so as not to create too much ozone in my apartment. I typically have these running all the time, with 3 out of 4 on the fan level.

I follow the instructions on how to clean the prefilter and carbon filter. I replace the filters about once every 6 to 9 months, especially after a brutal wildfire season. I have these going at full blast whenever I have any visitors in my apartment, or whenever I’m doing a lot of in-and-out of my apartment for tasks such as getting packages from the mailroom and retrieving door deliveries.

So far, these have kept me virus-free for the past few years. (I must also say that I mask everywhere I go, I allow fresh air inside when others enter my apartment, and I require mask wearing for anyone who enters my apartment, which are layered approaches to helping me reduce viral risk, in addition to using the air purifiers.

I’m disabled, so I spend most of my time home alone, too. But I feel more secure with having these air purifiers aid in keeping my air clean. ) Also, I still have to dust and clean the baseboards, but not as frequently.

The replacement filters are less expensive than some other air purifiers I’ve had in the past. And the design of these blends in with most decorations. To keep them mobile on hard flooring, I’ve purchased 16″ rolling plant stands to place 5 out of my 7 air purifiers on, so that I can easily sweep and mop around them, while keeping them slightly off the ground.

My 2 bedroom purifiers sit directly on the carpeting, one that purifies the bedroom area, and the other that faces the door to my walk-in closet, for added coverage. I would highly recommend these purifiers! I’ve had most of mine for about 2 years now, and they work great!.

Seems like it’s working, mostly. I’ve been using it for several weeks and do not use the ion technology. What’s good: I like that you have to option to NOT use the ion technology. There are some brands that don’t have it at all and some that have it but you can’t turn it off.

The filter types and quality are good on this model, there is a washable carbon filter that extends the life of the filter and the required filter changes happen less often than some other brands and need to.

Some need to be changed every 3 months. Although these filters are a little pricy, they not as expensive as many others, and not changed as often so I opted to go with this Winix. My allergies are better-not 100% but I do leave the window open a bit.

It’s quiet. I can say it’s gotten a bit louder in the last few weeks but still quiet and doesn’t disturb my sleep at all. It detects/goes red if I spray alcohol or lysol even in the next room with the door closed.

The not so good: I’ve used ammonia and bleach near it and it didn’t detect it at all. I’ve put it near the kitchen while cooking and sometimes it detects things and sometimes it doesn’t and some odors can linger longer than I thought they should (onions) but the odors do seem to go away.

Since this is my first air purifier, I don’t have anything to compare it to but I can say that it does help, but it’s not as dramatic a change as I thought it would be.

This appears to be cutting edge when it comes to air purifiers. I bought it because I like the fact they had a washable carbon filter. I was disappointed it didn’t come in anything but black but I’ll survive it.

However it is so much complicated being a smart device and I have yet to figure out how to make it become part of my smart network of many devices, which may be part of the problem I have over 20 devices in my smart Network.

. It operates sufficiently, I guess, and anything that would be relevant. I’ve yet to notice anything that’s significantly wonderful and nothing that is a problem. I like the size, and again I can’t impress is very quiet and I like that.

And it does look pretty sleek and design if someone’s into that. But I recommend it – probably. It definitely appears to have far more bells and whistle’s. The color is black I would rather had something else Although it is growing on me.

And I wish I could get on the smart network. UPDATE this thing has never stayed on and keeps shutting itself off. It’s too late to request a replacement so I’m taking a pretty big ‘hit’ to my wallet on this one.

The Honeywell HPA250B (310 Sq Ft Air Purifier with Bluetooth) is very quiet and it’s specifications include a very good air throughput for a small home or medium-sized room. The fan at it’s low setting is barely noticeable and even at the high/Turbo setting is quieter than I’d expected–it’s rather helpful white noise and I’ve yet to have a significant test of an especially dusty incident or smoky condition but noticed some odor reduction of pet odor.

(The unit has a charcoal pre-filter meant to reduce odor before the HEPA filter). The Honeywell App is easy to pair to the unit via Bluetooth although I think a WiFi connection would be better so an app could be used anywhere to turn the unit on/off or change settings instead of being within Bluetooth range.

The air purifier needs to be re-connected in the app menu setting when I open it on my tablet (an automatic connection would be an improvement). One plus is the Bluetooth connection is instant–no lag time in pressing a button on the app and seeing the unit change modes or modify the timer setting.

The control panel on top of the unit controls almost all the same features on the application (the app has one feature–a predicted allergen level that requires location service and internet access to retrieve allergen forecasts from AccuWeather).

I did find a few broken page links inside the app, so maintenance on Kaz’s website is not keeping it indexed very well but this does not impact the features that control and schedule operation of the unit.

The purifier is heaver than I had expected–14 lbs– which could contribute to it’s quiet operation–it’s not light enough to move around or rattle like cheaper fans tend to. The included HEPA filters are to last a year but the carbon pre-filter supplied is only a 3-4 month supply–I would have preferred the manufacturer include pre-filters to match the life of the HEPA filter.

I would have liked to give this a 5/5, but the broken pages in the application, inclusion of only 1 pre-filter, and problems with BestBuy’s fulfillment of this order is cause enough to remove a star.

I do think it’s the best purchase in this category, just some areas of improvement to warrant a perfect rating.

I purchased this purifier a few weeks ago. I will buy another one (same one) soon for my downstairs. I have two dogs and a cat and my house gets a little smelly, especially in the winter months when you cannot open the windows.

I noticed the animal smell was gone the next day when I came home from work. My son’s bedroom is in the basement and he said coming upstairs he can definitely tell a difference. He’s the one that requested another device downstairs.

The device is not too loud. Usually I turn it on medium throughout the day and I don’t even notice it and it’s on turbo at night when sleeping. I have the device in my living room and sleep with my bedroom door open.

I hear it, but it’s not too loud. Only thing I wish it had, but I have not seen this on any purifiers out there, I wish you could have it emit a chosen smell. Like lilacs or cookies.

The HPA200 is a reliable, effective medium size air cleaner. I’ve measured its effect using a PM2. 5 air quality meter in my house, and it has demonstrated itself to be very effective in greatly reducing smoke levels here, in times of high smoke exposure in California.

I recommend it highly. There are other good choices, and some of the competition offers build in measurement of air quality, display of same, and option to control the fan motor based on sensed room air quality.

Folks might wish to consider these models, from BluePure (211+), Conway, and Winnix (5300). But the HPA200 is a old reliabled rugged and effective room air cleaner, which I have had nothing but good experiences with.

It. or the family of air cleaners it belongs to from Honeywell. enjoys very good reviews from many sources. Again, note that the way I use an air cleaner is that I always monitor room PM2. 5 levels using a hand held PM2.

5 meter (available for around $65 to $70 if one chooses wisely, getting a TempTop p200 or HoldPEak HP5800D). Another nice thing about the HP200 air cleaner: It uses the same HEPA filter as do over a dozen other different color, size, and feature-set Honeywell air cleaners.

Meaning this filter is available at good prices from many third party suppliers. And that you can have a fleet of different room size capable air cleaners in the HPAxxx series that all use the same HEPA filter (using 1, 2, or 3 of them depending on room size rating of the model).

I think this air purifier does a good job at circulating and filtering the air. I live in a duplex that is almost 100 years old, and it can get pretty stuffy in here. This purifier does help. However, it is very loud on any setting other than the lowest.

In order for it to be effective for my living room, it needs to be set on level 2 at least. Unfortunately, even that setting is incredibly loud. Forget about ever using it on the highest setting. I’m a little disappointed, as I hoped at this price point it would be a little quieter.

I am fine with white noise, but this is definitely beyond that. It’s at least as loud as an old box fan.

Absolutely one of the best products I have at home. The Levoit True HEPA Air Purifier is such a welcome sight. I put it in our bedroom the first ight and put, set it to the 2nd fan and the air felt so clean, next day I put it in the living room.

It does not take up much space and is not a sight for sore eyes. In the living room I put it on the 3rd fan setting, it’s a little louder than the first two settings, but not excessively annoying. It definitely helped with the smell of food, cooking and when we ordered in.

The air was definitely cleaner and less odor. I love how easy it was to setup, pull it out of the box, open the filter compartment and remove plastic, place filter back and turn on your new Levoit True HEPA Air Purifier! My new air purifier is such a huge help now, my daughter suffers from slight allergies and I noticed a difference with her.

I will definitely be buying another one for her room.

I got this as an additional air purifier to a larger model I already have. It probably would work best for smaller rooms. Also on power settings 1 and 2 the unit is whisper quiet, and appears to be not moving much air.

Power level 3 however is very powerful, but is also extremely loud, which makes it difficult to have in the room next to a television.

This is my second Levoit air purifier that I bought just days after getting their H133. I was so amazed by the performance of the larger unit that I decided to get the 200S for my bedroom and it definitely lived up to my very high expectations of Levoit products.

Let me highlight some of the strengths and weaknesses of the 200S. Design (9/10): This little thing is the perfect size to set on a nightstand, countertop or bookshelf. Unlike most air purifiers, it is actually nice to look at too and almost looks like more of a piece of modern art than a machine.

The top of the device contains the control pad, and also serves as the vent where the clean air comes out of. The control pad also houses the night light, which creates a warm glow when turned on. The bottom of the unit houses the filter and has small holes around the entire machine to allow air to enter the filter.

The only thing I wish it had is some small indentions or handles on the side to make it easier to carry. You definitely don’t want to drop this thing. Noise (10/10): As you can see, I have this unit right on my nightstand next to my bed.

On sleep mode, you don’t even know the thing is on. On low, it is barely audible which is what I leave it on during the night. Medium and high are louder though but also that’s to be expected. Performance (100/10): The rating is not a typo.

Here is where this thing really shines. I use this purifier in conjunction with my H133 and my breathing at night has never been better. The purifier catches all kinds of dust and impurities that are easy to see when you take the filter out for regular cleaning.

The air quality in my small, stuffy bedroom is now clean and since the fan is so effective, the air is no longer stuffy as well. Features (9/10): 3 fan speeds, a timer, a night light and smart home integration.

This purifier can be controlled from anywhere and has almost all the features you need. The only thing I would recommend for future models is an auto mode similar to what they have on their larger purifiers, where the machine can automatically detect changes in air quality and turn the fan up or down depending.

Ease of use/cleaning (10/10): Operating the unit is as simple as turning it on from the app or on the top of the unit itself. The timer feature can be set to 2 hour intervals on the device or any time you want on the app.

Cleaning couldn’t be easier as you just slip the filter out of the bottom weekly and either wipe or vacuum the dust off the surface of the filter and put it back in. Overall (9. 8/10): Overall, this unit performs exactly as you’d expect a Levoit product to perform and that’s a lot to say.

The only points taken off are for the lack of an “auto mode” and also needing some handles/grip tape to make it easier to pick up and move around. It is well built for easy operation and the aesthetically pleasing design allows you to put it just about anywhere as it is not an eyesore to look at in the slightest.

The machine itself works incredibly well in purifying the air to where I can now sleep well through the night and wake up breathing easily instead of having congestion. Couple good performance with an easy to use interface and simple cleaning instructions, and you get one high-quality air purifier that will meet all your needs.

This is a very versatile, efficient and powerful air purifier. The controls are set in the top of the unit and are very easy to understand and operate. I familiarized myself with them in conjunction with the user manual.

This unit is fairly large and designed to operate effectively in a larger room, and so it is perfect for my living room. The SMART technology is extremely innovative in the way it scans the surrounding environment and then it sends updates to my Android phone in real time.

This allows me to check that everything is working properly and producing the kind of air quality I am looking for. I like to have the Auto Mode feature enabled because it can facilitate the automatic adjustment of the fan speed when the air quality warrants it.

The lowest speed is very quiet but obviously the noise levels increase, the higher the fan speed. There are 4 fan speeds. The air purifier provides true HEPA filtration and traps both airborne and small particles.

The Levoit PlasmaPro 600S True HEPA Air Purifier has been a breath of fresh air in our home. The quality of air in our home has improved significantly. We received this unit about 2 days ago and there is a noticeable difference in the air that we breathe in our home.

We are currently using this air purifier on the first floor of our home and it does an amazing job removing everyday dust and pollen and removing those strong food smells from our kitchen area. The purifier uses a 3-stage filtration system plus a really unique feature that I have not seen before.

So, lets go over the features, PROS and CONS of the Levoit PlasmaPro 600S True HEPA Air Purifier. Setup: The setup process for the Levoit PlasmaPro is rather simple. Before you begin to use the unit, you need to twist the top portion off and remove the plastic off the HEPA filter.

Simply place the filter back in and you are ready to go. But, if you would like to be able to control the unit, then I would highly recommend that you download the accompanying VeSync app. To sync your machine with the app, you simply hold down the power button for 5 seconds until the WIFI symbol on the unit starts to blink and it should connect.

If you like, you can also connect the unit to either Alexa or to your Google Eco System. Now, you can control your unit from anywhere and also with a simple voice command. Your unit is ready to go. Features: Unit Specs -12.

5 X 12. 5 X 24 – 14lbs This air purifier can be used for large room up 1500 sq. ft, but in the room that large the purifier will only clean and recirculate the air twice per hour, which is still not bad.

Our first floor is about 850 to 900 sq. ft, so we estimate that it is cleaning and recirculating the air about 3 to 4 times per hour. PlasmaPro – So this is something new for me and I have yet to see on any air purifier.

So, to make it simple, once this option is turned on it breaks down the pollutants, odorous gases, aerosols and VOCs. So, to put this unit to the test, I sprayed and aerosol air fresher and the unit sucked it all in and after a few seconds I was not able to smell the scent at all.

So, I can tell you that this thing works. Touch Sensitive buttons – The unit has 8 touch sensitive buttons with a really nice display LED display in the middle. In the middle you will also find a light senor.

The light senor mode when activated, the purifier will adjust itself based on the light in the room and once the room is dark it will power it self off. Air Sight Plus- The Air sight plus mode will adjust the fan based on the air quality in the room.

Overall, I am very happy with this air purifier. I have tired and tested out multiple units and this one had all the features that I wanted. Its affordable, it works for large rooms, easy to maintain, WIFI connection and the ability to add this to my Google system and best of all it does what it is meant to do and that is to provide you with pure clean air.

) Noise: Low setting is quiet enough, but still could be problematic for a sensitive sleeper or someone struggling with insomnia (It is a very steady sound. ) Medium is noisy, high is loud. Recommended for those who need white noise or like a fan on, whether for the noise or air movement.

I would purchase again. Price is reasonable! Replacement parts are priced well and easy to purchase. I DID purchase another Levoit, with the hopeful intent on another. I will decide further upon satisfaction.

This little device really makes a difference when sleeping in a small bedroom. It has just the right amount of “white noise” to sleep to…and when you wake up you’ll notice a definite difference in the air quality.

It seems to do what normally your nose has to do; filter the air you breathe. The true test will come when I see if I still get all the dust I was getting before. But from the difference in air quality and how much easier it is to breathe…I’m guessing that it’ll take care of that issue, as well.

I think I’ll end up buying a larger one for tne main living area as well. Nothing like being able to breathe clean, fresh air!.

Got this for work since everyone is getting hit with Omicron and Delta. I want to make sure I have good airflow in my workspace. The first 2 settings are pretty quiet but the 3rd setting is a little loud and noticeable.

The fabric also matches the same fabric in my cubicle and looks like a speaker. So cute that other people in my office also asked for the link where I got it. I also use the bigger size Levoit air purifiers in my home.

It does a great job at reducing dust and allergens and easy to reorder filters online.

I got this a little while ago to help cut down on pet dander and dust in general. I really like it because not only does it filter the air but it also uses a negative ion generator to help weigh down all the dust and air particles so they just drop to the ground.

I find it really helpful because I also use a robotic vacuum so it ends up just picking up anything that the air filter doesn’t already filter out of the air. I’m also big into anything that can be controlled via wifi, so any sort of smart home sort of product.

Lets say I normally keep the filter on low so it doesn’t make a lot of noise. When I’m cleaning and want extra help then I can simply tell my Alexa or just activate it from my phone to have the filter go to its high setting.

It’s all about convenience and I find it very convenient. Then when I’m done I can simply have it go back to its low setting. The fun part is if I forget to turn it down and leave my house, I can simply do it from my phone wherever I have service.

I like that this is a small filter and can fit just about anywhere. It also has some nice lights on it that double as night lights. I have a cat that creates a lot of excess dust particles and fur flying around as well as dust from his litter box and I have definitely noticed less stuff flying around the air along with less dust accumulation on furniture and what not.

To add to it, I’m also mildly allergic to cats but my love for them doesn’t prevent me from having one, so this also helps to keep those allergies at bay. Overall, I’m very happy with the air filter and think anyone that is looking for a small filter with smart home capabilities would be very happy with this one.

This air purifier has exceeded my expectations. From the start, it’s only a couple of pieces and that sold me from the jump. The instruction manual is small, brief, and so easy to understand. Basically 2 steps.

The filter is uncomplicated and you just pop it in the bottom of the purifier. I have other purifiers and believe me this is the simplest one I have ever encountered. I have one that has 5 filters and it’s never fun to clean and replace.

There are just a few settings that make it easy to use. You just turn it on and boom, it’s off and running. I have this set up in my spare bedroom where my cat has her litter box and this has made it infinitely cleaner in there.

Her litter is really great and rarely smells but she has respiratory issues so having cleaner air is a huge bonus. It’s’ nearly silent. You can hear it just enough to know you have it turned on and that it works.

It says to replace the filter approximately every 6 months. The filters are competitively priced and available on most major online retailers. I asked for some for Christmas so this will be something I intend on using for the foreseeable future.

It’s small enough that I have it tucked out of the way. It’s not the focal point of the room and I really appreciate that. My cat sleeps in that room and I feel really great that I can help keep the air cleaner for her.

Highly recommend it for use in any room in your house.

I have no external vent hood. This purifier does a good job absorbing smoke and cooking odours. It is almost silent on low and moves a lot of air on high. Permanent filters seem easy to clean. There is an ozone smell by times.

I think this is part of the purification and also from energy used to run the permanent filter. I am quite sure this will not go away. However, it is slight and easy to get used to it in the kitchen environment.

I love this little machine! I have had trouble in the past with allergies, dust, pollen, you name it. I live in Chicago, the land of the 100 year old apartments which, while quaint, collect dust like it’s their job.

The machine is sleek and easily evicted my tower fan from it’s home at my bedside. It fits in perfectly in my bedroom or any room for that matter. Extremely user friendly, all you have to do is plug in and press the large button on top.

There are two buttons on top. The large, round button allows you to toggle between three settings, low, medium and high, while the other smaller button lets the fan oscillate. The air purifier combines the functions of an air purifier, a fan and a white noise machine.

The lowest setting is basically silent while settings medium and high emit a pleasant white noise sound. I am breathing so much better with the help of this amazing product. My allergies have gone down significantly and it only continues to improve each night.

It’s like I’m sleeping on a hypoallergenic cloud each night, it’s amazing. I need to disclose that I received this product free for testing, thank you Influenster! However, I plan on buying another for my living room so I guess joke is on me!.

I’m very pleased with this product. You do hear the fan slightly however there is no additional noise when it oscillates and the fan sound is like “white noise” so it’s great in a bedroom. I love the convenience of the electric air purifier; that you can clean the filters with no additional cost.

I have an older version of this Honeywell Air Purifier and it’s been wonderful. I love the fact that this new model oscillates.

Living in a 1950s home, we discovered it gives off some musty older building aromas during the warmer months. We have a similar air purifier in the master suite area, and it always smells fresh and clean in that part of the house.

So we decided to get this one for the living room. I was pleasently surprised when I unboxed it. It’s well designed and well made. It looks nice too. The controls are much more straight forward and easier to use than the other air purifier we have.

The filter is not only HEPA but also charcoal, so it removes odors in addition to dust and allergens. One really cool feature is a little slide out tray that you can add essential oils to! I haven’t seen that on an air purifier before.

I soaked the little pad in eucalyptus oil and it smells great in the house. It has an ionizer feature as well to help purify the air. There are 2 fan speeds. On low you can barely even hear it, on high it gets a little loud.

I only turn it up to high when I’m not in the room to speed up the air changes, otherwise I usually leave it on low. Overall I’m happy with this air purifier and would get another one.

The unit is very lightweight because its basically all filter with a fan motor ontop. It is very easy to use with everything being touch-controlled and very easy to use, I didn’t even need to read the instructions and just plugged the thing in (after removing all the wrapping) and it was ready to go.

The addition of a timer (max 12 hours on) is also VERY handy because I can set it to switch off in 6 to 8 hours and walk out of the studio at night knowing when I come back into the studio the next day the air is going to be clean.

I have been using it every single day since I bought it about 3 weeks ago and have not had a single problem with the purifier at all. Very easy to use. One thing to point out though, as you can hear on the video when it switched to its highest setting it will get noisy, very noisy because it’s now forcing a LOT of air volume through that filter to clean the air as quick as possible.

For bedroom use, setting it to the first setting would be perfect as it is very near-silent and you should be able to sleep fine with it on setting one. The inclusion of an oil scent tray directly above the fan exhaust is a welcome addition as well.

I’ve had air purifiers years ago and they didn’t have a ionizer also I NEVER EVER had the problem I have with this Homedics purifier. I’ve only had it in the room 3 weeks!!! I used the ionizer for a few days and the other night when I went to open the window that’s about 3 ft from the air purifier I was SHOCKED to see large dark stains all over my walls and white windows!!! I have my home cleaned once a month and my bedroom was just painted last year!! My room doesn’t have this kind of dust or dirt in it.

Yes I smoke but I’m not a heavy smoker! Dear lord if I could only show pictures here you’d be shocked!! I’m 66 years old and have been ill for the past couple years. I do not notice any less phlegm that I still have the same sinus problems.

I’m amazed no one else has had this problem. My filter is dirty but I don’t think anywhere near ready to be replaced. I have no idea how this happened but it’s definitely from this air purifier. The dirt is large stains not just little specks of dirt.

My husband took down the garland off our white fireplace tonight and where the garland wasn’t is all stained!! He used Dawn soap and rough towel and he rubbed very hard and it won’t come off! I highly recommend check the areas located around where you have the unit.

I will be calling Homedics first thing Monday morning! I’m not one to write a bad review this is a first. I apologize it’s so long but this can’t just be our home this is happening to, like I said my home is very clean sure I get dust and smoking doesn’t help but that’s why smokers buy a air purifier! This was something I never noticed till I went over that side of the room to open the window to shake crumbs off a throw rug.

It’s very shocking. I surely do NOT recommend this air purifier. I always bought the ones made by Toshiba or Honeywell they may be more expensive but I never had any problems with them nothing like this!! Goes to show you you only get what you pay for.

I went for the less expensive this time and now I have major cleaning on my hands.

I live in a 860 sq ft apartment and have this placed in the living room to catch dust from our daily activities and especially cooking since the kitchen is right there as well. The filter on auto function does exactly what it should and even as I sit in my office 25 feet away from it, I can feel a slight airflow so I know it is capturing air from where I am at.

As mentioned in the title, the auto function is 90% of the reason why I wanted this filter, 10% because of the mid century modern style. It will typically kick on yellow (medium) when we are vacuuming or cooking and occasionally go to red (high) when we are extra busy and the air quality gets noticeably better.

A few improvements I would make would be as below. 1. Offer a dimming display as standard. The white LED’s are extremely distracting if placed near a TV or somewhere in sight. I love seeing the colored indicator for air quality but the white LED display is not at all necessary.

2. Timer-off function. Many air filters of this price point offer a timed function where it will turn off after a selected time period. 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours. This is only on or off. It would be nice to be able to set an hour timer before bed so it turns off during the night.

Other than these preferences, I like it and the filters seem affordable if replaced every 6 months so hopefully it will last us many years.

I bought the Bissell air 220 Air Purifier to help me breathe better. I have been experiencing a stuffy nose and some coughing since the weather turned colder and I must stay inside so much. Within 30 minutes of turning the air purifier on, my nose unstopped.

It was easy to take out of the box, remove all the plastic covers on the filters, read the directions and plug it in. When my cat walked up to it to inspect, the light color turned yellow and I could hear it a little louder.

Within a few minutes the light was once again blue. The same thing happened when my Yorkie mix dog walked by. When I started cooking, it changed from blue, to yellow, and red. Later I noticed it was back on blue.

I have only used it during the day for several weeks and my nose hasn’t stopped up since I started using it. It is lightweight, so I planned on moving it to my bedroom at night. It is very quiet. But I haven’t had to use it at night.

I’ve only used it during the day, and the inside air smells fresh and clean. I highly recommend the Bissell air 220 Air Purifier and wish I had bought it earlier. I love the work that the Bissell family does for shelter and rescue dogs.

Pros: —Purchased my 211+ Auto directly from Blueair in July 2021 and several months later the control button on top of unit stopped working. It happens – an inconvenience but not a big deal. Contacted Blue Air and a replacement unit was shipped out to me and I returned the original unit at no cost to me.

Kudos to Blue Air folks for honoring their warranty and replacing my faulty unit promptly! —Love the fact that Blueair offers a “First responders” and “Military personnel” discount – much appreciated! —The 211+ Auto moves a lot of air on the second speed without too much white noise which is what I was looking for in an air purifier! The unit sucks in air from all four sides of the machine and sends air out of the top of the machine – nice.

—This unit was recommended by Consumer Reports as was the 211+. However, the Auto version is more energy efficient and has a sensor with an “Auto” speed setting which are the primary reasons I chose it over the 211+.

Cons: —The prefilter skirt does not hold up very well. After weekly vacuuming and washing it every few months the stitching comes loose. I have purchased two OEM replacements during the past year and I recommend having a spare on hand for when needed.

—The OEM filter that came with my first unit was great. I cranked the air purifier up and the air coming out of the top of the unit smelled fresh and clean. Unfortunately, the OEM filter that came with my replacement unit had a sour smell that lasted about 2-3 weeks before it dissipated.

I had hoped that was just a one off situation. However, the brand new OEM filter that I recently installed also has that same sour smell (it is hard to forget). My unit has been running 24/7 for almost a week so I am thinking that I am going to need to wait another week like the last time before the sour smell subsides.

I find it ironic that OEM filters that are supposed to improve air quality by reducing air particles and odors actually created bad odors during the initial weeks of use in my case. I have thought about trying a third party compatible filter but I read that will void my warranty and I suspect that the filter specs would be different from a third party supplier anyway.

There is a lot to like about this machine but I hate to think that I may need to repeat this process when I install a new Blueair OEM filter. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this otherwise excellent air purifier until I am confident that the filter odor issue I experienced with two out of three filters has been resolved.

I have another sealed back-up OEM filter that I purchased and will see how that filter performs when I install it in approximately 6 months. I plan on doing a review update at that time.

I bought a 211+ last fall and was so pleased with the performance that I decided to buy a second unit for the family room. Instead I bought a 211+ Auto and the improvement over an already awesome machine in kind of mind-blowing.

The older unit is in the family room in the basement and I put the new 211+Auto in the living room. It’s so so so quiet. But I love the way it kicks in when it senses pollutants/irritants in the air.

If I cook anything that smokes (e. g. , tortillas in a cast iron pan), I can hear the Auto kick into a higher gear until it has cleaned the air sufficiently and lowers the fan automatically. The effectiveness of the filters is good enough that I’ve seen a clear improvement in my allergies and a decrease in my need for extra allergy meds.

Typically in the spring and summer I need to double my allergy meds (2x per day) to keep my asthma under control but I’ve only needed a second dose once or twice this year! I also love the pre-filters.

It’s easy to see when it’s time to change the pre-filter. They’re easy to change, easy to wash, and a great way to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the units. Finally, I appreciate the filter replacement subscription.

It significantly reduces the mental & organizational friction of maintaining the units and keeps my indoor air quality as high as possible year round. When I received my first replacement filter, I thought to myself, meh, it hasn’t been THAT long; maybe I can save some money and squeeze a little more time out of the old filter.

Then I compared the old filter to the new one and the difference between the two made it clear that 1) the filter had worked hard for 6 months, and 2) a new filter would ensure continued good results.

I purchased the Pure 211+Auto about a month ago after researching air purifiers reviews. We live in East Texas, where we have beautiful spring blooms, but horrible pollen problems almost year round, especially in the spring.

Since using Blueair Pure+Auto, our allergies are significantly reduced this spring. I particularly like that this model automatically adjusts to the amount of particulate matter in the air. When I initially set it up and turned it on, it ran on a more robust speed with the yellow indicator showing, but since then it has been on a low quiet setting with the blue indicator on.

The purifier is very quiet; we don’t even notice it in the at night during sleep hours. I had bought a purifier years ago, but it wasn’t that efficient and was loud, like a blower dryer on low setting.

Another aspect that I like about this purifier is that it is made for a specific size room, so you’re not buying a model that is over or under the air space capacity that can happen with a “one-size fits all” purifier.

So glad I purchased this purifier.

The Dust Magnet has been a very welcome addition to our family home and has had a significantly positive effect on our quality of life. Ours is a busy household, we have pets and my wife is a childminder, so there’s always different people and animals around plus plenty of activity with people coming and going.

With this comes plenty of dust, pollen, germs and allergies. So we’ve just been putting up with the issues that come with all that, until now. Since we’ve had the Dust Magnet running in the main living area there is definitely less dust on surfaces, less irritated eyes, less tickly throats and less runny noses.

The air smells clean too! It constantly adjusts to maintain the best level of air quality, so if you were to burn some toast for example, it soon gets dealt with. Not only that, but having the air quality indicator gives tremendous peace of mind, especially considering concerns of infectious airborne deseases, plus with having young children in the house, it’s great to know they’re breathing clean air.

The unit itself is super easy to set up, including setting up the app via your wifi connection, which is absolutely the best way to get the most from your Dust Magnet, with timing schedules, air quality monitoring and filter replacement notifications, you can check on and adjust your air settings when away from home.

You can even set up via Alexa to make your unit voice activated. The Dust Magnet is very easy to live with. Visually it’s an attractive design that blends into our household. Practically it’s controls are intuitive and easy to operate with the maintenance of the filters being very easy to manage.

You can also set various air flow modes so you can set it to be extra quiet for bedroom use, not that it makes a lot of noise anyway. Great product, Highly recommended.

Most definitely the best looking air purifier that I’ve come across. I love the thought that has gone into this product, my previous filter was large and bulky so I would have it set up in a corner. But with the dust magnet being so aesthetically nice too look at, I use it as a side table and this way it also has a better flow of air as it’s not blocked by the corner walls.

The dust magnet is easy to set up, just screw on the four legs and ensure that the wrappers are removed from the filter and that the filters are placed the correct way. If you download the blueair app, it’s very simple to add your dust magnet and control it from the comfort of your device.

Depending on the intensity of the dust magnet the noise level does increase, however even on the maximum setting I still found it quite than most purifiers. My furniture is prone to attract dust and I found that I was cleaning less but I wouldn’t say that it was a significant change, however I was shocked to see the amount of dust accumulated on the filters, now this was a little messy to clean up.

The fact that the purifier doubles up as a table is just genius, and very useful. This is by far the best purifier that I’ve used.

This purifier looks really nice. I have the white unit and it blends in perfectly with my grey and white room. The materials feel high quality and the legs are very sturdy. The initial basic setup of the unit was a breeze.

Just put on the legs, take the plastic wrap off of the air filters, plug it in, and away you go. BUT, to get the most out of this product you need to install an app on your phone, create an account, let the app find your device, and give an air purifier your wifi password.

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing because Blueair is a respectable company, but I would have preferred they use bluetooth and some onboard memory to set up a schedule and fine-tune the lights and fan speed.

That being said, you can set up schedules for when it runs, dim the otherwise very bright led lights, and set the fan speed to exactly what you want. It comes with 3 default fan speeds as well as “auto” mode and “night” mode.

The night mode is probably great for most people’s bedrooms at night, but the white-noise for sleeping is a big part of why I like having an air purifier in my room. For my white-noise needs the fan settings out of the box aren’t quite right.

Setting 2 is too quiet and setting 3 is too loud, but with the app I can be very specific for how I want it to sound. The cost of the replacement filters is very reasonable given their quality.

As someone who suffers with asthma, allergies to pets, dust and pollen, this product has absoluetly changed my life. It works by sucking in the air from your home and filtering out impurities before sending the clean air back out.

It has 2 separate filters to increase its efficiency (which seem quite pricey to replace but good quality). The app tells you when to replace the filters or when they are starting to wear out. It decreases the need to hoover as often as it sucks in the dust.

I love the app which tells me in real time how polluted the air in my local area and home is. You can also use the app to control the device remotely and programme it. I used the app to set it to automatically go into “night mode” between 8pm and 8am and it remembers to do this without me needing to do anything.

You can also connect it to Alexa and use set a child lock. I couldn’t figure out which way to put the filters in and searched online for ages, but gave up and guessed but all is going ok! I love this product and want them all over my home now.

It looks really sleek and modern, so blends in perfectly in my home and doubles as a small side table. It’s pretty quiet to run (especially in night mode) and the air does actually seem cleaner! I am so impressed.

I was deeply disappointed when my Taotronics Air Purifier quit working after I successfully installed the second air filter. I wrote to ***@***. com and after receiving many questions from Kiki and her team but no promise of assistance, I expected to walk away from this air purifier $159 poorer and a defective product.

However, to my eternal delight and gratitude, Kiki emailed me, apologized for the questions she needed to ask, and offered to replace the entire unit at no cost to me whatsoever. Therefore, I would recommend this product to anyone who needs an air purifier because it is a good one, and even more important than that, Kiki and her team stand behind this air purifier and deliver top-notch customer satisfaction.

Great air purifier, lots of features for the price. We have this weird white dust in our house especially during the winter months which since using this purifier has decreased significantly. Breathing quality is much better and our baby doesn’t wake up in the middle of the night with a stuffy nose anymore.

Runs quietly, we use the auto mode which adjusts the fan speed by sensing air quality. Well worth it!.

I ordered this last August and finally opened it and started using it. I like it. It is attractive. On the low speed it is really quiet, and on the medium speed it is acceptably quiet. I was using another brand so far, and it was noisy making it difficult to sleep at night.

This has solved that problem. Everything works well and it seems to be energy efficient.

A BEAST. This device is a classic honeywell product, back when appliances were built to last. We bought this exact unit (control panel changed at some point, but it’s the same) in the early 00s. We ran this bad boy every.

single. night for 15 years. It still worked till the day we gave it away. Eventually the bears that held fans wore down, and the sound was less uniform and more “wub wub wub”. Probably could have fixed but after almost two decades of use, who cares.

Amazing unit that’s built to last. Skip the cheap garbage and get this. Some people complain it’s loud but it’s quite possibly the best white noise machine of all time, such a great noise. Run it at night or just run it when you leave the house.

I had 3 of these units prior to purchasing this one. I had previously switched to sidewall units that lack 360 degree filtration and some were noisier and less affective. I had already bought this unit before calling honeywell for new filters for my 3 others.

They do not have or manufacture the filter and they instead try to sell you a filter for a smaller unit and insist you buy multiples you can stack in this unit. NERVY! Stacking smaller filters impairs surface area and filtration which is the whole point of having this larger unit.

They are misleading people if they say there is no difference. Note: generic large filters on Amazon etc are not certified. For this reason I will be returning the unit. I am disappointed in Honeywell! I certainly hope walmart stops selling this until Honeywell honors the sale by manufacturing the replacement cartridge specific to this Hepa air cleaner.

Due to this failure I give it a 1 star and hope Wal-Mart will remove it from their shelves until Honeywell does the right thing.

Husband is allergic to animals and we have a very affectionate MaineCoon cat that loves her poppa! There was no way we were giving my cat named Bunny away. We tried several brands that I honestly do not remember.

we thought the tower would be best and cover more area. I’m happy to say that Poppa can stay, he can now tolerate Bunny’s dander, which isn’t much, and when he pets her, because she’s so fluffy, he just has to wash his hands.

It’s not even something he has to remind himself, its second nature and Bunny can love on poppa all of the time! It’s also helped me with my allergies to dust and pollen in the home. We’ve had it for quite some time too, it’s built that well!.

This unit has been OUTSTANDING for us!!! We have it in our bedroom – We love the “white noise”, and clean air, it produces. A week ago, it (finally) broke down – Lasted, at least, five years, probably longer.

Ordering a new one now – Can’t wait for its’ delivery – We miss the white noise, and the clean air, very much. Our beautiful Border Collie sleeps on the floor in our bedroom – Air is still clean, clean, clean!!!!! Would highly, highly, highly recommend this product!!!!! We think our dog misses the white noise, also.

Bought this one after seeing so many positive reviews on here. It arrived quickly and in fine condition. Been using it for a couple of weeks so far. Not sure that I can notice any difference in my house? I currently have it in between my kitchen/laundry room.

I was hoping to cut down on dust/smell from cat litter, etc. , but not sure there is noticeable difference. I may move it to the bedroom to see if it helps with allergies and sleep. I find it to be very quiet, just a slight hum comparable to a small fan.

I actually find the noise to be soothing, like white noise. So all in all, good product for the price. I’ll have to wait longer to see if it actually improves air quality in my house.

I purchased this because my eyes were always watering and burning. I had trouble watching TV or going on the computer. I purchased 2 for the living room and only got one set up and my eyes stopped watering.

I know when I set up the other one I’ll have eliminated most allergy problems. I just ordered another one for my bedroom. My husband is allergic to cats so I’m sure this will help him too! They are very quiet! I had one that was so noisy my husband threw it out! He’ll be very pleased with this one!.
