20 Best Gas For Pressure Washer (2022 Updated)

Ordered this machine, and it arrived very fast. The only issue was that when I opened the box there was NO MANUAL, NO NOZZLES, AND NO SPRAY GUN. Because I needed to use the machine right away I went to a local big box store and picked up a cheap set of DeWalt nozzles, and an 18′ telescoping spray gun to use on my house, which I was going to do anyway.

With that being the case I would still like to get the regular spray gun, and the quality set of nozzles that should have been in the box, but were not there. I put oil in the engine, and fueled it. It started on the second pull.

Once the machine was up and running I was thoroughly and completely impressed with the performance of the machine. My 30 year old home looks like it was built yesterday. I’m hoping Simpson will send me the shorted parts, which is a major disappointment in an otherwise satisfactory experience.

Overall the Simpson pressure washer, Megashot 60763, performs quite well at it’s job. My issues would be with it’s design. The pull starter is obstructed by the throttle lever and the fuel cut-off valve.

This can cause excess wear on the cord and you need to be careful not to hurt your hand when pulling it. Also, the throttle lever has play in it and can easily be moved too far as it does not have a good stop past the choke position.

I bought it based on high ratings on several different sights. Overall, it does a good job. I will wait to see how it does over time.

It really is a five star review. The mega shot with the disc is incredible. What used to take me 2-3 hours is less than one hour. The Reason for the slight ding in rating is the documentation. My documentation shows turning the gas flow horizontal.

Actually you need to turn it to a 45degree angle. Was unsuccessful with it flat as shown. Also vertical as I tried. Got frustrated and went online. After about an hour and looking at other washers I tried a 45.

First crank. Once it started- I was over the top. Great birthday gift.

I like this pressure washer because of the power. It is nice an compact. It started easily the first time. I use Ethanol Free gas in all my small engine equipment. The rack for the nozzles is nice. It was mostly assembled just the handle needed added.

The things I didn’t like: The handle was scratched to where I had to repaint it. The hose is horribly stiff and hard to maneuver. The bolt hole or the bolt for the wand hanger is incorrect. The hole for the bolt should not have been dimpled OR they put the wrong style of bolt in for it.

I had to remove the nozzle rack to get the bolt in the hole and sit properly. It NEEDS a better hanger system for the hose! (The hose that is too stiff. ).

I just bought this pressure washer for the combo w/ the surface cleaner. When unboxing it, the pressure washer had a guide for the Honda engine, and a quick start for Simpson pressure washers, but it doesn’t feel like there’s a manual specifically for this model.

I received pieces in the box that don’t attach to the pressure washer anywhere and aren’t mentioned in any of the manuals. But I got it set up and running. Then, the main reason I bought this one was for the surface cleaner.

I followed directions, got it fired up, and was not expecting this. I could see the sprayers spin quickly right as I’d depress the nozzle, but would immediately slow down basically drawing very slow circles underneath.

I stopped and upon looking at the surface cleaner, I believe that the bearing that spins the sprayers was out of round. It would spin by hand, but you could hear clunking. I don’t quite understand why it would spin up immediately when depressing the trigger but not for longer than a second.

Maybe a pressure issue? But I tried reattaching multiple times. I believe it to be a faulty head as I saw numerous other complaints online about this surface cleaner. Last, some good news, I think this is a solid pressure washer.

It’s very easy to start with the auto choke and I was able to get some cleaning done today by hand. I’d hope Simpson will work with me to replace the surface cleaner and I’d knock this up to 4 stars and if the catalog that is on this site was in the box, it’d have been 5 stars.

My recommendation would be get the pressure washer, and skip the surface cleaner for another brand based on my experience. The ratings below are in regards to the pressure washer, and not the surface cleaner.

Terrible product, I wish I could send it back. You can only use the soap feature using the soap tip which is made of cheap plastic. Every-time I tried to use the soap tip it “MegaShot” off the wand, the fifth time it disappeared.

Seriously, Simpson couldn’t spend a dollar more and have a metal soap tip like the others? The trigger sticks wide open most of the time so you cannot set the hose down for even a brief moment. This means you must shut off the engine.

When you can get the trigger to shut off, the pressure of the pump causes the engine to stall so one way or the other the engine shuts down. There is no adjustment for the pressure or engine speed, it’s wide open or off.

The connection for the supply hose is under the washer and difficult at best to thread a garden hose into the fitting. I made a short hose so I don’t have to get on my hands and knees to connect the hose.

The pressure hose is cheap and i do not expect it to last a year even with modest use. Do yourself a favor and purchase a different brand of washer.

I purchased this after borrowing a similar model from a friend last year. I was impressed with the performance of his power washer and am not disappointed with this unit. This is my first power washer and I am still discovering uses that I wish I had known about years ago.

This model is compact enough to not take up much of the valuable space in my garage and powerful enough to tackle some of the annual cleaning jobs around the house and yard. Runs great and delivers the power that I need.

I am looking forward to using this in conjunction with a foam cannon for cleaning our vehicles. The addition of quick disconnect fittings allows more flexibility and convenience for storage and for changing out accessories.

I highly recommend this Simpson power washer for those in the market.

I purchased this pressure washer online and picked it up on March 29. When I Open the box later that day, for assembly the unit was coded in oil, in spite of the box clearly stating there is no oil in the unit.

Every effort to start it a week later proved futile, it refused to fire up. Gas was spotted leaking out of the bottom of the carburetor and there was no compression whatsoever. After consulting with a Generac representative, he advised me to take it to a service business an hour and a half from my home.

Remember, this product has never ever been started in its entire existence as my pressure washer. After checking my brand new never been started pressure washer, the service depot told me the entire insides were soaked with oil as was the air filter.

They accused me of storing it on its side, something that I never did. They want me to pay for a new air filter and the work involved in cleaning and flushing the carburetter where oil had all leaked into, something I refuse to do as I was not responsible for storing it on its side.

If I could turn back time I would never ever have purchased this piece of crap, and gone with the one with the Honda engine. Now I am out over $400 plus my time and gas expense to go to the service establishment, and I still don’t have my pressure washer back, so I will have to take the time and expense to drive there again once it’s finally repaired.

And no doubt be held responsible for cost in attempting to get the BRAND NEW, NEVER BEEN USED pressure washer functioning. I am livid.

I ordered one of these pressure washers and had it shipped to my house. I assembled it and put gas and oil in it and tried to start it first with choke then without. Within about 5 pulls the string which has a cheap cotton type coating completely frayed leaving the unit unusable before ever starting.

I returned it to the store and got another thinking maybe the unit was just damaged in shipping. I got a new gas can and new gas just to rule that out even though the gas in it was only a month old. Built that one and same problem will not turn over and rope frays within first few pulls.

If you bought one on black friday be sure to test it before your return period is over. If you haven’t bought yet. don’t do it!.

I bought the power washer at the end of March 2022, and it was delivered in early April 2022. Right out of the box there was an issue with the wand, water just flowed right through it with no pressure whatsoever.

I called customer support and they said I needed a new wand. I waited another two weeks for the new wand to show up and when it did the product worked great. I was able to power wash my house one weekend.

Another weekend I power washed my sidewalks, driveway and a retaining wall that I have. When I went to use it the third time in June, as soon as I started the motor water blew everywhere out of the quick connect connection and the washer would not produce any water pressure at the wand.

I called customer support again and was told I needed to take it in for service and the closest service center was over an hour away, even though the person on the phone insisted that according to their map it was less than 20 miles away.

I loaded my power washer in the car and drove it an hour and 15 minutes to the service center. Two weeks later I drove back and picked it up. So far it is working well, however I just turned it on to make sure it didn’t leak, and I haven’t really used it to wash anything.

I did notice when I was putting it away where the hose hangs on the power washer the paint/power coating had chipped off and it was starting to rust. Also, the male connection on the quick connect hose for the wand has rust on it as well, I thought these connections were supposed to be stainless steel.

The discouraging part is that I purchased this power washer to replace a smaller on that was almost 15 years old, and in those 15 years I only had to replace the carburetor because of bad gas. This power washer has already had two issues and it is only going on 4 months.

Only time will tell how this unit holds up.

Bought at Tractor Supply a couple weeks ago after pretty extensive searching for what would best fit my need. Got it home, put it together, added fuel and oil, double checked everything, hooked up the hose…no wash gun in the box! Thankfully Tractor Supply manager remembered me and supplied a wand, saying this was the second time it had happened.

Reading other reviews, sounds to me like Simpson has a serious quality control problem. As far as the washer itself, it’s been working well. Starts easily, runs smoothly, washes nicely. I really like the large tank – fewer stops to refill than my prior unit.

I like the use of Honda engines in Simpson products. From the box it started on the second pull and is very easy to restart when in use. The fifty foot hose was a nice touch when choosing this model.

Because of its size the double handle makes it easier to lift the unit by distributing the weight front to back. I also like how the water supply connection is on the side and the connection to the braided power hose is out the back between the handle supports and not on top of each other.

Great pressure washer and smooth running engine and easy starting, soap pump works great and does a fantastic job.

This unit is a great value it was easy to assemble started right up very powerful and gets all the jobs done around the house. It is well thought out in terms of hose and wand management as well as use of cleaning solution with the double tank.

Plus it looks great!.

hi the pressure washer is brilliant but things started to come of exhaust bolts fell out then the fluid tank came undone and two of the engine mount bolts fell of i bought a 2700 one and its brill no trouble with it but this one very disapointed but very good.

Went through several pressure washers makes and models and landed on this one. For the most part it is a good machine. Powerful, quiter than similar honda gvc190 engines. I compared both and will pro/con between a ryobi gvc190 idle down Pros: manual throttle adjustment /pressure, thermal relief if pump gets too hot, hose inputs are NOT close to the ground and above the deck for safe keeping.

Quiter. Comes with individual tips instead a 5 in one. Which I prefer. Large fuel tank about a gallon. DRAIN PLUG with cutout for simple oil changes. Pretty easy start, not as quick as the honda gvc190 but still simple.

Hondas you have to tip the whole machine which such a mess. Bigger all terrian air free tires. Cons: machine moves around a ton if it’s not on a flat surface. The pads on the frame and wheels are not the same height.

Its a easy fix but annoying as if you have a soap injector in a small canitaner, the machine will pull the tubing connected to the washer and spillyour soap. Hose is rather short. Wand and Lance is short and not as nice.

Again easy upgrades.

This is my first gas pressure washer. Assembly was easy, and machine started very easily. I quickly upgraded to a longer hose with quick-connects, and a longer wand. Put teflon tape around all connections.

Would have been nice not to have to fork out extra for these upgrades, but for me they were essential. The machine works admirably. I cleaned the siding on our 1. 5 story house. Would have been nice to have a “pink” tip for reaching the tallest gable peaks, but standing on a step stool got me the height I needed.

The soap draw is quite fast. Ultimately, very satisfied with it so far. I plan to run premium gas only, use stabil, and winterize thoroughly. With these steps I expect the machine to last a long time.

Oddly enough, I learned you don’t need any high pressure for cleaning siding, so pressure rating at this point isn’t critical. At some point I expect to clean some harder surfaces and will appreciate the PSI, I’m sure.

I bought this after a lot of research. I found that the combination of power and size was among the best. 3400 PSI is ALOT and it will take paint off if you are not careful. The only complaints I would have are that it shakes.

alot and can wander on you if you arent careful. This is not a huge deal, but the shaking and walking of the machine can be slightly annoying. The other issue I have is that the exhaust blows straight down.

If you put the machine in your grass and run it while cleaning your driveway, you will have a dead circle of grass roughly 2′ in diameter. Trust me I know from experience. Other than those two minor learning curves, I love the machine!.

I received the item promptly. During the unboxing i found 2 damaged items and chipped paint in multiple places. However, i received prompt replacement parts from the manufacturer and the product works as its supposed to and fills my pressure washing needs.

As a gift from my wife, I added oil, I added gas, and even primed the water pump. Not even 5 minutes after I cranked it the water pump started to make absolute awful noises after shutting it down I could hear the metal shearing inside! Bogus!.

We have a back covered porch that has had EVERYTHING on it. The Pressure Washer did an excellent job BUT I sure wish I would have bought an electric one. Going to give this to someone in the family.

I purchased this Ryobi Pressure Washer last summer for the easy start. I only used it once or twice. Went to use this year for first time and huge leak near hose attachment. went on lince to find service provider and none anywhere near me.

So frustrating to spend so much on this unit for this to happen. the original tags are still on this washer!! Called for service support today and the wait time is 145 minutes. I would not recommend this pressure washer as a result of this premature malfunction and lack of service support.

I bid and price was accepted. Sellers were pretty sharp and offered a return if I have any problems. Got home, checked oil level and quality (clean) hooked up hose ( very important !!!) As you never want to start pressure cleaners with pump dry.

It will cause a lot of wear and tear unnecessarily. Put choke on , gently pulled cord to prime engine then one nice pull and bang, she started up on first pull. Used it to wash my car (injector tank) has cool tip that has 2 siap/tank modes, one 15 ,40 modes.

You just turn tip to select (really easy) I also bought a turbo blaster tip online ($16) which will take paint off hose so be careful. Has 2. 3 gallon/minute at 3000 PSI so I was pleased with this as it can handle almost anything around the house.

I’ve used it to clean a hose we’re fixing up to sell. Needed painting so I put on turbo tip and it knocked all the loose layers right off. (Very messy) Does cars in minutes and actually fun now ( used to hate washing car) recommend you blast off dirt first, then apply soap solution,use soap tip , then use regular hose to gently rinse off car (I use shower mode on nozzle) this will allow more of the waxes to adhere to car and also make drying car much easier.

Or you can just drive around for 5 or 10 minutes if you need a break lol. one cool feature is hand pops off so real easy to put in trunk. Newer models have handle that swings down. Weight no too heavy (45 lbs or so) oh, forgot to mention, engine is a Honda and they go forever !! My Karcher was about 20 years old and still started on first or second pull.

I gave it away when we moved. Brand is Ryobi and I’m now a huge fan of their products and am going to buy more because they’re very affordable for average Joe.

We did a lot of research and thought we found a strong contender for our new pressure washer. We purchased our unit in July of 2018. This unit has been used maybe 8 times and sits nicely in our warm garage.

It has never been used or abused. We went to use it on the weekend to clean the cars and there is a significant issue with the wand attachment and water is now spraying everywhere, regardless of trying to fix it and adjust it.

The store level told me that I need to deal with Ryobi so I called them thinking that their 3 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY would prove helpful for our situation. I was told that the wand is a usable part and that I will need to purchase new components.

I would most definitely be on board with this idea if we had received our fair share of efficient and fair use from this product; however, this has not been the case. This product is not an inexpensive unit, costing $719 CAD, plus taxes, one expects to have a unit that works.

I was shocked at how little help I received from Ryobi when I phoned and how little they stood behind their products. The customer service agent was less than helpful. I have dealt with many brands that stand behind their brands and are excellent to deal with and I will say that Ryobi is not one of those brands.

I will not be supporting this brand. I would suggest exploring another brand.

I’m no stranger to power washers I’m also not a mechanical genius. Decent ,smooth power. Not obnoxiously loud like others. Wand is nice. Pull rope is in a terrible place! Almost need three arms to secure unit, choke and awkwardly pull rope from side angle.

soap dispenser is pointless. They never work well for long. Fold down handle NEVER STAYS SECURE!. Tighten knobs as hard as you like. it’s still gonna buckle on you unexpectedly. The absolute infuriating part is the exhaust location which happens to be DIRECTLY ABOVE the highly pressurized rubber hose!!!! Which for whatever reason comes from the back of the unit! I’ve exploded 3 yes 3 expensive aftermarket hoses because I want able to babysit hose location every second while getting after a job.

The hose always finds its way back to the scorching muffler!.

The OneWash is a decent machine, but the handle design was very poor. The locking hinge point is plastic and broke within the first few weeks. I contacted Generac about it, and they said they would not replace it.

Looking at the newer designs, it appears they changed the design. Unfortunately they do not always stand by their products even when they know it was poorly designed.

I bought the Ryobi pressure washer with a promo Ryobi 15In Surface Cleaner. It cleaned my asphalt driveway (20ftx40ft) and two cement patios (30 x 30ft) really well. My work time was cut down to a third using the surface cleaner rather than a pistol nozzle.

It took the North Vancouver green slime/moss and one year old dirt right out of the asphalt pits. The Honda motor starts quickly every time on one pull. The Ryobi Circular Surface Cleaner worked flawless.

I’ve hear some people had problems with these -but the problem is not the design, it is simple cleaning of the nozzles when your finished. Ryobi includes a 4in cleaning tool to unclog the circular nozzles when needed.

When you consider the crap flying off the cement/asphalt and whirling around/inside the cleaner disc, no wonder these cleaners get clogged occasionally. I do wish all pressure washer machines had a better muffler.

There is no reason they should all be load and annoying. My lawn mower is not this load with the same HP.

Great machine considering it’s price. You get a reliable Honda engine, easy to use select a pattern nozzle (most other models you need to change out the tip) and a 35 foot hose (usually 25 foot). The unit comes ready to use and there is next to no assembly required (I have had units where you’re putting on the wheels etc.

). Put in your premium fuel, oil (comes with the unit) and start it up instantaneously. Tip (may be obvious to some): ensure you’ve stretched out your high pressure hose line going to wand nozzle (this goes for any power washer) prior to using otherwise the hose kinks and you get limited reach.

Once stretched the 35 foot high pressure line on the Ryobi gives you the extra reach without having to wheel your machine around. I’ve had a few pressure washers and this is the best unit for $500 by far.

i bought this maybe a week ago and i have to say it works great and lots of water pressure, the nozzle and gun feel great and it starts right up. the problem comes from the hose it suddenly blew up close to the handle not near the pressure washer or hot motor.

my guess is it kinked and blew up or something but my guess is it was just a lemon hose no big deal. my review will change lower or higher based on what happens when i try to get a replacement hose and if its a hard time and if the hose lasts longer.

I bought this pressure washer because it came with the widely loved Honda Engine. Before i purchased the unit i read over 80 reviews The three major complaints about this unit were small design flaws.

1. the wheels rub against the frame. buyers had to remove the wheels and add spacers. 2. the wand holder is cheap plastic and breaks after only a few uses. 3. the nozzles rattle out of the holder because the rubber grommets don’t hold them tight.

The Honda engine is a solid workhorse which is a crowd pleaser I bought my unit Oct 4th from Blain’s Farm & Feed. Obviously Simpson reads these reviews because the engineers got busy to address the flaws listed above.

My unit came with the wheels attached and spacers included. 2nd the nozzles are held securely by upgrading the rubber grommets. Lastly, Simpson redesigned the wand holder and made it out off steel. It is a stronger design that works well.

I’m glad Simpson addressed these issues it shows they care about manufacturing a quality product and are willing to listen to customers. I might have been inclined to shop for another unit if the reviews were worse, so i’m glad they made the changes.

Blain’s Farm & Fleet had the best pricing for this unit, very easy to purchase and quick curbside pickup. Well packaged, easy to assemble within a few minutes. As of writing this, I have only used it a couple of times and it has been great.

Starts on first pull, runs well, and has plenty of power. I know that it will last with a great Honda motor. Upgraded from an electric power washer and this gas unit has noticeably more power. This is much easier to maneuver with only the garden hose and wand attached, opposed to an electric washer with those plus an electric cord.

If you are debating an electric washer or gas, spend a little extra and go with gas.

I bought this unit 14 months ago and today washer was working great as usual then suddenly low pressure. Checked water pressure and faucet was turned on fully, no leaks, just low pressure. Honda engine running fine.

Checked online for possible issues and checked and lubricated unloader valve (which seemed to be working fine). No leaks from wand or hose connections. This pressure washer has minimal residential use.

I’m disappointed as the reviews seemed good when i purchased but I see more low rated reviews now…is there an internal part issue or failure? Warranty expired on the pump a couple of months ago.

Same problem as everyone else the site glass on the pump started leaking after 5 hours of use, still cant get it to stop leaking. The bolts on the crankcase that hold the plate that the pump is attached to all backed out and dumped the oil in the crank case.

Attempted to get warranty work done in Washington state but all of the shops were closed due to covid dewalt said i need to drain the fluids box up the pressure washer and pay the $300 to have it shipped to them.

when the machine works it is awesome its just a reliability disappointment and dumps oil everywhere. It is the same size as my last washer but this one is difficult to start and if you are not carful the recoil on the pull start will rip your shoulder out.

It can run forever and it is powerful but is a total bearcat to start up if you take a quick break or you run out of gas and need to fill up. Almost to the point where you could break a bone in your hand from the pull cold after the wheel locks up and pulls it out of your hand.

I have never cursed so loud in my life and it happens all the time. Came with extremely low quality tires, lasted a couple months and were flat for no reason, had to replace tires at year 2, tread was falling off.

The wheels have always been wobbly so it doesn’t roll very even. Other than that it does the job.

I’ve used this a few times and really like it. Respectable amount of power but nothing crazy. Just keep good footing and be prepared for some Newtons, this isn’t a toy. You could potentially do damage to materials with this so a modicum of common sense would be in order.

I would describe it as a bit more powerful than a good car wash pressure washer if that gives you an idea. Does a fantastic job on cars and machinery. You can adjust the regulator to dial-back the power for more gentle cleaning if needed.

If used and maintained properly, this machine should last for years. Parts are available so it is serviceable. I would have liked an on-board chemical tank but it comes with a pick-up tube which can be put into a soap container.

With a little thought a soap tank could be mounted on the machine. All things considered, a good tool and well worth the investment.

I took a chance on this power for residential use washing my SUV, driveway and other home projects. Through my working life as a building maintenance/custodial supervisor and working as a deckhand on a river boat, I have used various power washers with various pressures and various gallons per minute.

I must say, this little Power washer would stand with the best! Very easy to put together even for a 75 Yr old disabled person. Using the power washer is a breeze. And the job it does in second to none.

So far I am VERY happy I purchased this power washer. 2700 psi and 2. 3 gpm is plenty to any job one would need this power washer to do!.

When I opened the box and got it out, the left wheel support was bent, obviously the shipper dropped it, but a hammer and drift solved that problem, other than that, assembly was a breeze, put in the oil, filled the gas tank, hooked up the water and on the second pull of the recoil starter, I was pressure washing my patio.

Next day it started the second pull (couldnt get the choke off quick enough) but second pull and its back to work. This washer is great, cleans wonderfully and is easy to operate. The price just kicked the heck out of the big box home improvement store and was delivered to my front door.

My other pressure washer in town is a 3200 psi unit, and a lot noisier, but not that more efficient, but paid almost twice as much for it, just to have a fancy name on the engine.

When we received it…some kind of little piece was broken and my husband did not feel like going through the hassel of returning it. He super glued whatever it was and he is a happy camper!!!

I have used my new washer three different times, so far. Honda engine starts easily and runs well. Used it on a vehicle, front stoop, vinyl siding, concrete block retaining wall and patio pavers. It easily cleaned the vehicle and siding.

It also took twelve years of crud off the concrete surfaces making them look like new. I am very pleased with this product and anticipate many more projects in the future. My only complaint is the location of the hose connections located so far beneath the machine.

I found it inconvenient to connect and disconnect the hoses.

Just did my driveway. This is better than I expected. The motor started on the first pull. It is not as loud as I expected, in fact, I think the electric one I am replacing with this unit, seem to be louder.

Perfect amount of cleaning power for a residential user. Gas powered is definitely the way to go for now. I will be doing my deck soon, this should do a great job.

Great for driveways and washing down exterior of home. Owned another Simpson PW in the past and believe it was reliable if you follow the instructions. Winterizing the product is a necessity for longevity! #sweepstakes.

This little guy does everything this homeowner throws its way! I pressure washed the concrete patio, concrete walkway, stone retaining wall and the bricks on the side of my house. It s a bargain for the price and starts everytime!!!.

Purchased this at a big box store, was originally looking at an electric version, glad I went with the gas model. The electric ones returned in taped up boxes means only one thing. After blasting the loose paint off our deck, and another day- power washing the siding on our house I have to say this machine was the answer.

Plenty of power. Starting it is a learning process. Make sure there is oil in the clear oil sight on the pump, check engine oil level. Use only, and I am going to stress this- use high grade gas with no ethanol.

Turn on gas valve, close choke- 1 pull, then open choke- One or two pulls usually starts. There is no clear indicator if the choke is on or off. Another caveat is you have to squeeze the spray nozzle to release pressure on the pump, or the engine is hard to turn over – maybe they could of added a pressure bypass feature.

I found the hose a little short, maybe a 35 foot hose would be better as I had to move the machine around more often when on the ladder- by the way, be carefull you can be blown off ladders with this beast, and also wear safety glasses- this is not a toy.

After walking around the yard looking for the color coded spray nozzles, it appears they vibrate out of the holder, not a huge issue- but an annoyance. All in all I would recommend the Dewalt 3200, the pump and motor are serviceable- unlike most brands.
