20 Best Gloves For Military (2022 Updated)

I got these just to have a spare set of cheap gloves to keep above the sun visor in the car. They are fairly well built, and the leather is supple. The only problem is that the thumb is abnormally long and the index finger is a little short in both gloves.

I’m sure after a while the index finger will stretch but I think I will try to shorten the thumb since it’s just too floppy. I would also recommend ordering a size larger than normal. I usually wear XL and the XL gloves I ordered are very tight.

so tight in fact that I’m afraid if they get wet, they’ll dry even tighter. I would say use regular nitrile gloves when dealing with full body searches and fluids etc. , but for driving, range training, and cursory searches, these gloves fit the bill for $20!.

The gloves were pretty snug even though I ordered them in my usual size. And I wouldve been more than happy to have worn them long enough to break them in. However, right out of the package there was an inch-long opening on the left ring finger.

The stitching just didnt tie the 2 layers together. And the little finger on that same hand had a thread that I could pull on to open up another gap. The leather seemed to be of good quality, but the assembly was terrible.

Too bad.

My Medium gloves fit great… once you get them on! The cuffs have virtually no elasticity and putting the gloves on is enough to warm you up for any physical encounter. Seems like the medium cuff should be on an extra small glove.

I actually had to use leather stretch spray and stretched the cuffs over a soup can!.

These gloves feel great and fit perfectly. The size was perfect. I am a dog breeder and use them daily with leashes, ropes and various other things. These gloves hold up under rugged use. I would recommend them to anyone who it looking for a comfortable fitting and enduring glove.

These gloves are just as described/depicted. Soft cotton material that allows for a comfortably snug fit. Snaps on/off easily. Good quality/ value gloves. Would buy again.

I got black parade gloves for the guide-ons in my regiment. Online, they looked like good quality gloves and they are. The color is even and looks right for ceremonial duty while in Class C.

I went from the Arcteryx Gothic to these, and I think I made the right decision. These feel warmer when worn on their own. They are thicker and seem more durable. However, both showed fraying after 1 winter (these frayed a little less).

Nonetheless, the wear has only been aesthetic wise thus far. These are not very elastic and they conform to my hand worse than the arcteryx. I like the ‘hug’ of the arcteryx gloves, but these are not bad either.

Run small. I wear small Arcteryx gothic easily and I still have some struggle to put these size M gloves on. Touch screen works, but you need to use the fingerprint part of the finger since the finger tips won’t register on the screen.

(BTW, if you are using a samsung phone,I suggest turning on increased touch sensitivity in your Display setting since I find that helps with touch registering a lot). While these gloves do not have special material to help with screens touching like the Arcteryx, I prefer it this way since the touch material of the arcteryx gloves degrade extremely quickly.

Pretty slippery, so watch out All in all, I like these. minimalistic, durable, and functional. I wish they were bigger, but its not the end of the world in my case. One last thing. I think these are quite well-priced, especially on sales.

Why these are my favorite gloves are a combination of warmth and comfort. So many gloves tend to feel tight even when there is adequate room in the finger which I think affects the ability to keep warm: Not these.

These closely hug the fingers and hands while not squeezing to the point of feeling tight and restricted. I’ve worn these in the mid 20’s with light wind during moderate activity and felt warm. The texturing of the glove palm is nice.

The touchscreen feature doesn’t seem to always work and can’t seem to figure out why it works or fails periodically. The older the get, the more often the failure of the touchscreen features. After 2 winters of use, I am starting to get some black fuzz on my hands, and hope that this doesn’t mean they are breaking down.

As of now, I’d look for other options if I needed a new pair, but would not be disappointed to purchase these again. The above downsides are the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Comfort and warmth performance alone are a 5/5.

Here in Victoria, BC, we don’t get winter like the rest of the country. (And we like to remind you of that every chance we get!) But from late November through February, we get our own version of winter, which is damp and cool and rather dark.

Dog-walking requires gloves, and while those gloves don’t need to be big ski or backcountry gloves, they do need to be warm. Enter Smartwool and the Merino glove. These are warmer than my running gloves, but only a bit thicker fabric.

They have a grippy palm and fingers, which makes holding the leash much easier. And best of all, they keep me warm without getting sweaty. So lightweight that I went shopping the other day and realized as I checked out that I hadn’t even taken my gloves off in the entire store visit.

That’s the sign of a well-fitting, practical glove! If I had taken them off, they’d have shoved easily into my coat pocket for storage. As it was, the grippy texture made it natural to shop even with them on.

If we make it to a ski hill or out into snowy backcountry, I’ll be using these as a liner for my outer gloves, no doubt. These gloves are truly the best pair I have ever owned.

Bought these & other items from your shop for my nephew as a Christmas gift & he loves them. He works nights & our winter temperatures drop in the 40s. The fit is great & they keep his hands warm without the bulk.

Appear to in fact be made in USA (stamped Newberry Knitting Co-made in USAon the cuff). I ordered a size 4 which translates into medium (looked up a GI glove size chart online as these correspond with that) Good warmth for weight, some itch as its wool but its ok.

I ordered the brown ones and the bottom of cuff has a thin stitch of black thread at bottom. Same basic premise of glove as OD colored ones Ive had from elsewhere.

I were these 2 days after I got them. Trout fishing, tail water, water temp was 41 degrees, air temps mid 30s with misty rain/light sleet. Serious conditions- and I spent hours and hours with totally wet hands landing trout after trout.

(I always use a net. but my hands were constantly wet releasing fish) They stayed warmer than some parts of my body that were not wet! I have owned the Orvis version (5x the money) and gave them away to our son.

I’ve owned the Cabelas version (3x the money) and they got misplaced. So. I was trying these. short answer. I live them and will be buying more as backups.

These gloves are fairly well made, mine had a couple of minor stitching issues in finger seams, but were easily enough rectified with a needle and thread. They are relatively warm. I used them this year hunting, and they were good down to temperatures of about 45 degrees.

After that your fingers start to get a little chilly. Overall I gave them 5 stars. If you could give half stars I would have only taken a half star away for the stitching issues.

I’m on my third pair of these gloves. I use them exclusively for motorcycling and I run thru a pair about every two years. I love the fit and quality for the price. The only caveat is the cuff will separate from the glove at some point from my tugging them on over sweaty summer hands.

Otherwise they do everything right.

Gloves have a difficult time keeping the fingers warm compared to mittens. These worked great until they were “borrowed.” I will buy another pair at some point in my future.

IF YOU HANDS ARE LARGE, BUY THE EXTRA LARGE GLOVES.. THEY ARE REALLY WARM AND OF GREAT QUALITY TOO!!

I had North Face Denali gloves about 20 years ago for cold days in Northern Virginia. I wound up moving away back to a warm climate and never used them again. I recently headed up to Yellowstone National Park for a winter tour of the park, so I decided to upgrade my old Denali’s to the latest style.

Little did I know, it was going to be -34 degrees Fahrenheit outside at the start of the tour. Unfortunately these gloves didn’t do anything to stop the cold, even after only 3 or so minutes of exposure.

I can’t knock them though. I knew they weren’t made for that kind of cold. I’m sure they’ll be great for cold days around New Orleans where I live now. They are well constructed, comfortable and good-looking.

I highly recommend them for cool and moderately cold days.

Christmas of 2020, I bought my boyfriend a pair of needed gloves from a well known named sporting goods store that cost me a pretty penny. Much more than I wanted to. Well, those gloves fell apart after only 2 weeks while doing small things like walking the dog, driving or shoveling snow.

I promised to make it up to him, which I’m sure he forgot about. Not me! I can’t explain how much research I put into searching for the perfect gloves to make good on my promise! Each review lead me to the Men’s Apex + Etip gloves.

Kind of hard to ignore, right? Not only did they cost half of what I paid the year before, North Face helped me make my boyfriend a VERY happy man! So much so that he bought me the women’s version, and now we walk the dog longer, take longer runs.

Good price and look well made with good quality materials. The size is a good fit as well proving you measure your hands correctly and get the right size.

Really decent gloves. Quite good build quality.

Right out of the box these tactical gloves proved their worth. Running through scenarios in hogans alley, hand to hand contact and breach entry. These gloves went the distance. I felt comfortable deploying my side arm with out the worries of trigger hesitation from not being able to feel the second stage.

The knuckle cover is great when applying pressure to those special points. The vents keep my hands form over heating and getting moist. Finally the Velcro closure on the cuff kept the glove closed and free of particulates.

Over all a great product with a great price.

The quality is a joke. knuckles are actually soft and bendable. No impact protection at all. Abrasion protection? maybe. Too much suede like material making the gloves not so breathable. Not enough padding in palm area for vibration protection.

Worst gloves I ever paid 20+ bucks for.

I feel that the quality is very good. The back of the carbon reinforced glove for forward striking protection is extremely good. Would recommend for medium duty work and protection. I have tried to destroy mine, but cant and they are still my favorite pair over the other brands I have for protection.

They are of fine craftsmanship, and if cared for properly I am certain they will last for many years to come. I’d say i am 85 satisfied with the overall design (the parts that really count, like for functionality, 98% satisfied) , just some minor aesthetics (and I will admit I have exceptionally high standards when it comes to leather products) The fit was absolutely excellent without even having to break in the leather at all.

I may remove the logo-crests from the manufacturer, but this is just a personal aesthetic choice. I am 100% confident that the next time i am literally forced to remove somebody from my home using physical force (always as a last resort, and at LEAST 60mins of verbal warnings) , i wont be tearing my knuckles to shreds or risking contracting a blood-borne disease from damaging my knuckles in the process.

I was a little surprised by having to pay another $36 at customs to receive the parcel, but quality leather is certainly worth the investment, and i would 100% describe these gloves as “high quality leather craftsmanship” I am overall satisfied with this product.

There are just a few minor design aspects that are not quite MY personal preference, but they do not in any way make the product less suited to the task it was designed for. I am quite happy with my purchase, and would readily recommend this same item to any friend who expressed interest in owning a pair of their own after seeing mine.

(and several have!).

This is my second pair of ATX95 padded gloves. As a senior citizen I am past the age where I can afford to scrape or break my hands in a fall. Whether going for a walk or riding a bike, these gloves will protect your palms and knuckles from injury.

They’re also warm enough to wear in the winter.

I love them! Well made! I ordered the Medium. they fit ever so slightly larger, but not enough to see that as a negative. They are well built, look great, and are comfortable/durable. Would highly recommend these gloves to anyone!.

These are probably one of my favorite gloves. Got a small because I wanted a tight fit for tactical training. Still have a tough time using it for pistols. Slightly long on my pinky. Would never noticed if the other fingers didn’t fit so well.

I wish they make the index finger and maybe even thumb tip out of a stretch latex or similar material for better trigger usage. Love the loops to hang on your rig or pull tight. Overall great value since I got it on sale.

I’ve had a few pairs of the original Flexion gloves that I’ve used for patrol gloves, tactical gloves, and motorcycle riding gloves. The fingers have all worn through, especially the ones for the motorcycle.

But for the cost, it wasn’t a big deal. Aside from the smell, I had no complaints. The new 2. 0 version are just as good as the originals, without the smell. We’ll see how these hold up. But so far they are comfortable and fit well.

I’ve been using the same pair for over 2 years now. I use them for everyday driving (all seasons) and I have used them for lots of shooting and training. Having used many different types of gloves (from Oakley as well as from different brands) for the same purposes, I’ve found that these fit me better than anything else I’ve ever used.

Not only that, they maintain their form without stretching and they still fit me as well as they did when I first got them. I have gotten several pairs now, in different colours, but I haven’t had the need to replace my original pair yet.

The biggest signs of wear are on the composite knuckles, they’ve begun to separate from the glove, but that’s easily fixed with some super glue and they’re as good as new. I really have no complaints about these gloves!.

These are the same brand and glove that troops in the military rely on in war. The hard plastic knuckles provide great protection from scraping and debris. The high quality leather lasts a long time.

The fire retardant material makes it a safe glove if operating in areas with high heat.
