20 Best Gloves For Pitchers (2022 Updated)

This glove is a great glove all over. If you take care of it properly, it will last a life time. The one main thing that I do not like about is sometimes after about 10 years you might notice the ball going through the webbing if the ball is grown hard enough.

This is easily fixable, it is just something that happens over time. If you take care of this glove it will do everything that you want and feel great in your hand doing it. Me personally as a baseball player for my whole life, and using all of the gloves I have used this on is by far the best glove and most favorite glove.

I love how it modes to your hand and holds its shape. Whenever I put my hand in the glove it just fits and feels nice, the leather feels amazing and doesn’t hurt or rub on your hand as much as the previous gloves I’ve had.

I bought this and im not a ball player or plan to be. im 50 years old and got this toss with my son and others who want to have a good time. Right off the bat (no pun), this glove seems semi broke in and smells of real leather.

It feels great to me and is easy to catch the ball with. I love the look of it and the feel so far. I didn’t want to pay $300 for a glove when im not on a team or planned to be. My son is also a lefty, so I doubt I’ll be handing this down to him, but I’ll hang on to it for his son.

Final comment. I bought this online and went into the purpose blind (sort of speak), and it turned out well.

Today my mom bought me this glove for an early birthday present and I am really happy she let me get it. The break in process does not take long at all. The pop of the glove when it’s brand new is so satisfying too.

I had this glove for a day and it’s almost broken in already. My glove would’ve been broken in the same day I got it if it wasn’t so hot outside so I couldn’t play catch with my cousin. But overall I recommend this glove for anyone!.

I received this glove for Christmas this year and I was very pleased with many features about the glove. Such as the soft leathered finger pad which made it easier to close the glove. Another thing I loved about this product is the easy break-in.

At first the glove was stiff and unable to close, but I went to Youtube and followed Wilson’s glove break-in tutorial by Aso and used weights to pound my breakpoints ,web and pocket. After this my glove was broke in quite nicely.

The spin control makes it easier to pick or catch balls that hit unsatisfactory areas of the glove and has a nice feel to it. Overall 9/10 would recommend to any First-Baseman who wants to elevate their pick game.

This glove has amazing build quality, the hand liner Wilson uses makes this glove super comfy and your hand feels like it’s formed inside the glove, it literally feels like an extension of your hand.

Break in was actually really easy compared to my Rawlings Pro Preferred due to the lightweight super skin. When I say lightweight I mean this thing feels like a feather compared to the heavier Rawlings Pro Preferred.

Transitions feel fast and getting to the ball in the hole feels effortless. Overall super happy with this glove.

Bought this glove for my son to replace his old glove which is pretty worn out. First day we received it, we were playing catch to break it in and the laces holding the webbing together broke. The only thing that performed worse than the craftsmanship of this glove is Wilson customer service.

It’s been two weeks since I notified them and other than inquire “how” I was breaking in the glove, I haven’t heard a word. Now my son has to travel to his biggest tournament of the week without his “new” glove.

So thanks for nothing Wilson…. should have stuck with Rawlings or Nokona.

Great value and a really nice glove. I’ve missed playing and couldn’t find my old glove, so decided to look for a new one. This shipped fast and the quality is awesome. Highly recommend for anyone starting out or looking to get back into the game.

Very nice glove, broke in easy. I bought it as a Dad to 3 boys who hasn’t played any real baseball since HS and needed a glove to carry me through helping coach boys’ teams and to play catch in the yard.

Only been using it for around a month or so, but have been really pleased with my purchase. Was also looking at some of the Wilson A#### gloves, but think this was a good value for about $40 less than the Wilson while not sacrificing any quality.

Bought this for my 10 year old son to use as an all purpose infield and outfield glove. This is our 2nd A2000. The leather lining is noticeably softer than the older model and the wrist binding leather is a nice touch.

The overall leather quality and color combo are great. We used Wilson’s recommended hot water break in method with a mallet and it was ready to go after a couple days. Do not steam, it’s bad for the leather and voids the warranty.

Try it on in a store if you can. Our local store had 3 and they all fit very differently. So happy with this glove. We are A2000 users for life!.

I own lots of gloves near the $100 range, if I had to choose only one, it would be this. It is large but has great feel for the baseball. It is soft but grips well. Even has a cool color scheme. I just own it to play catch, a friend of mine who played college baseball says it’s a very nice glove.

That’s enough to convince a casual like me, lol.

This glove is perfect for me. I no longer get to play baseball, but as my team’s athletic trainer I like to take part in BP as much as I can just to help satisfy the desire to be out on the field. This glove looks good, feels good, and it is already easy to open and close.

With the amount I will use it, the time to get it broken in the way I like won’t take nearly as long as other gloves. Even at a low price this glove is made with quality material and will last for years even for a seasoned player.

And for me, the modified trapeze web is just such a slick look on a glove.

Great first basemen’s mitt. Basically zero break-in required. My son is a utility player. He plays first probably 20-30% of the time. If my boy was playing first base exclusively, I might go with a more expensive Rawlings series.

He’s happy with it and it’s holding up nicely. Surprisingly comfy fit! Feels like a down comforter inside, ha!.

I was excited to purchase a new Rawlings catchers mitt for my 11y/o son. Have been looking around and settled on one on your website. We received the package and I let my son open it and to our surprise it wasn’t a catchers mitt but was a first baseman’s mitt.

I am a strong supporter of small businesses and very much dislike the big box franchises but when this happened we had to act quick and off we went to a big named place. I am bummed in how it turned out but the refund was seamless and quick.

Picked the glove up in early 2022. It’s only been used twice a week in U13 indoor practices for the past 3 months. Multiple tears in the interior of glove, just below webbing. Won’t purchase another Franklin product.

Please understand I do not want money back are the ball glove replaced. My wife and my twelve year old grandson placed the order online, keep in mind that my grandson is left handed. So when he chose right he thought he was getting a glove for the right hand, maybe this is our mistake.

what we needed was a glove that is worn on the right hand because he is left handed. As I said I do not want to exchange are get a refund, we will give the ball glove to a right handed child. One more thing, in the window where you choose right and left it should say right hander are left hander.

The glove is a work of art. The leather is the best quality you will find in this price range. The only leather I have seen that can beat it is the leather used for the Pro Limited. A2K and Pro Perferred dont compare.

Structured, rigid fingers, tough lacing, the heel takes a bit to break in, but it doesnt crease and has the perfect amount of padding. Takes a few games to break in, but when it does its absolutely incredible.

Nice wide presentation, snaps closed with ease, perfect shape for charging and scooping, great, effortless transfers. Only complaint is that the black dye does run into the gold welting and turns it dark brown, so that color pop goes away pretty quickly.

I played some outfield with this one in a few night games and the grass was wet, and the dye ran into the welting. I conditioned the glove and that was it. no more gold welting. The stitching and logos have stayed bright and true, but the welting is definitely permenantly stained.

As dissappointing as this is, I still give the glove 5 stars. Its the best glove for the price (and it smokes the $400-$500 gloves I have had. Bloodline, Gold Glove, etc. This one is just a cut above them all).

The leather of this glove just smells like baseball. I was quite stiff when I bought it but, with a little break-in oil, some other ways to break in a mitt, and a couple of hours of catch my glove is nearly game ready.

When I unboxed the glove it was beautiful. It came in a high-quality leather glove bag that I still carry the mitt in. Overall I love this glove-like it is family and I can;t wait to hit the diamond with it.

We have been buying A2000’s for years. Currently have 4 in rotation and one of witch is a custom and added an A2K in the line up. There were wrinkles in the leather and some over runs on the stitching.

I wanted and expected more out of an A2K. It is useable and a good glove as all Wilson’s are but I was a little disappointed in a glove that costs more and hyped up to be the best Wilson has to offer.

We have better craftsman ship and quality control out of A2000’s purchased at Dick’s. We purchased this glove directly from wilson. ??? Hope this helps.

Not happy. my 13 year old girl’s glove (she is a lefty so it’s on her right hand) is starting to turn her hand black! It took forever to break in and now we are dealing with this. And, most recently she said it feels different inside and like there is a hole.

For as expensive as these are, there shouldn’t be issues like this. My girl sweats a lot. She has a heart condition but still continues playing until she is forced to quit. I was hoping this glove would last until at least high school.

Akadema is a great glove. I personally played professionally and would recommend akadema gloves. I coach now and many of my players have akademas. They have a great variety of leather options

very soft leather easy to form a pocket. Ive been working with the glove for about 3 weeks breaking it in already have shaped and form the pocket to how i like. also the the leather is a little bit more thin so you have great feel for the ball.

for 100$ bucks its good glove. ill come back with a review in a year. age(20).

The glove has a super soft feel. It feels great when receiving and ground ball. I have not had any problems with mine. I play college ball, and coach two little league teams. I basically use my glove everyday of the week.

This is for my son who is a Freshman playing High School and Tournament ball. The break-in period will be a few months but it is 3 weeks in and starting to form well. The leather is like Ferrari leather soft and supple, the strings are thick and durable and the looks of the glove are out of this world! Beautiful The cost is high but he has gone through 3 Mizuno Classic Pro Model gloves over the past 2 years and it is time for him to have a glove that will hopefully last him for a few years.

Best glove brand out there. I’ve had mine for 6 years and it’s till like new. Affordable and I got at dicks sporting good store. Your going to get a glove that’s going to last you a long time the only bad thing that it’s a little hard to break in in the beginning.

I use this glove for 3rd base and it has been the best glove I have ever used for the hot corner. I like my glove to be firm but have a medium firm pocket and this glove broke in perfectly the way I like it.

You can use this glove for middle infield but I feel as if it’s best use is for the hot corner. I would recommend this product to anyone that plays the game competitively.

I purchased this glove for my 15-year-old son with the hope he can use this quality glove throughout his HS/Travel career. This is our first “high-end” glove purchase with previous gloves being entry-level popular name brands that did the job.

The first impression, this glove is stunning and appears extremely high quality. My son is very happy with the look and feel of the glove. The only concern is the glove is very stiff and will take longer to break in compared to his previous gloves.

I would assume this is normal with a high-quality glove. We have taken it out to play catch along with some outfield work and he loves it. He is 6′ 2″ with long thin fingers and loves the fit of the glove along with the wrist padding.

I can only imagine as the glove breaks in and begins to mold to his hand it will only feel better. I cannot speak to the durability at this time, but I will update my review, as necessary. The buying process was simple, efficient and the glove was received in time for Christmas.

Bonus, it comes with a nice (included) dust cover. If you are hesitant (like me) to spend the money, I would highly recommend this glove. It is not a popular brand (yet) around Georgia, but it turns heads and my son’s teammates ask him where he got his glove.

I’ve owned Rawlings, Wilson, ssk, mizuno, and easton gloves. But warstic is by far the best. The styling, the fit, and quality are all top notch. Break in is still ongoing and the form is coming in nicely.

The pocket is standard, not to deep nor too shallow. It’s one of those gloves that’ll be around for a long time. Well done warstic!.

The glove has some great quality laces and a solid palm, which I prefer. The fingers come pretty well spaced from the jump which just takes away some steps from the break-in process. The glove looks great out of the box and has a really nice fit.

Break in was quick, but required leather conditioner.
