20 Best Gloves For Plumbers (2022 Updated)

I’ve been using Maxiflex for well over ten years now and this is the one I’m always coming back to. I absolutely love them. Yes, they do wear down over time, but let me tell you they don’t wear down anywhere near ask quickly as other brands.

I’ve tried most of the others. Plus it’s to be expected. I always order smaller for dexterity and there perfect. Feel good on the hand never too hot and protects them decently too. There’s a reason there are so many great reviews on these they’re great! Only pitfall is they need a true touch screen compatible for some screens not just phones.

I’ve worked 3 different production jobs where we had to wear this type of glove and none of them had this size. It makes such a difference in my ability to do my job quickly and accurately. will order more! I will say they do fit super snug, but that’s what I wanted.

so if you don’t want to have indentation marks on your wrists after wearing them for an extended period, I would suggest going a size larger, but only if you don’t use your fine motor skills frequently.

still 5 stars though, just have to figure out what size works best for you. As for the vest, it the clear pocket is a tad too narrow/deep for my liking, but I have tiny hands. it fits perfect. I took the advice that I read in the reviews for sizing, and it worked out fine.

Great gloves. seem indestructible stacking firewood so far. So much better than the old leather work gloves I had been using for years. tough and the grip is great (no more dropping logs on my foot, even when the wood is wet).

Would have been 5 stars if the fingers had been a little longer. As the gloves go up in size from L to XL to XXL the fingers are almost the same length. us guys with big hands have long fingers. help us out.

I was always able to purchase these at garden centers and hardware stores on the West Coast. When I moved to the Midwest I couldn’t find them at any retail locations. They are my favorite and I am pleased to have found your website and ordered a dozen.

Perhaps overkill for the home gardener, but I am thrilled to have them again.

The gloves are comfortable and the grip is excellent. The coating is rather thick but they still don’t become clammy inside. The finger diameter is good BUT all the fingers are too short, especially the pinky.

This makes it so that the gloves want to slide off your hands when trying to lift heavy things with them on.

This time I went for next size up for looser fitting gloves on my second pair. Feel better on my hands really. I know it’s called fast fit, just first pair going by measurements on website were rather tight ish.

I just picked up a pair yesterday on 10/8/20. I was putting on control arms and a new axle on my son’s 2006 Honda Pilot EX 2WD. The gloves fit great. I usually wear an XL but I got size L for a tighter fit.

That tighter fit helped me with putting on the nuts, cotter pins, etc. The issue I have is the material on the palms of the gloves look worn after one use. The material is starting to ball up. I was using hand tools and wasn’t using any chemicals so I’m not sure what caused the material to start balling up.

Or maybe that’s just the nature of the material. I don’t know but it seems odd. While I really like these gloves, I’m skeptical about how long these will last. I doubt these would last more than a year with regular use.

But, they fit my needs as I only repair our cars as needed, so I go through long spurts where I might not have to do any work on the cars.

I wasn’t expecting much from these gloves because the price at Autozone was so low, but the gloves are extremely comfortable and tight (which is a plus), I would definitely recommend these if you have a smaller engine bay because they make it near impossible to nick yourself on pieces of metal or fans while you work on hard to fit spaces.

The fabric is strong and has gotten me through some tough jobs. Since I got these gloves I have not cut my knuckles or hands on any pieces of metal. For example, when replacing my thermostat I had to take off the alternator and it is an extremely hard to reach zone where you don’t have enough room for the entire socket wrench so I had cut my hand trying to make it work even with a swivel joint at the end, which was supposed to make it easier.

I tried again while using these gloves and had no problem with my skin because the gloves protected me from getting cut easily.

Never bought this brand before, but I really like them! I used to work on cars for a living and now do it as a hobby, and I’ve tried quite a few brands of gloves over the years. Usually the ones that fit nice and tight would rip and tear very easily, and the tougher ones that would last the whole job were bulky and saggy.

These have the best of both worlds! I can wear the same pair for a few jobs without tearing one, and they still fit tightly enough to thread a bolt in a hole I can’t see. The item details suggest ordering 1 size bigger for textured gloves (as these are), but I’m not sure that’s necessary.

I typically wear a medium in latex/nitrile gloves and I bought these in large based on the suggestion. They fit, but could probably be a little bit more snug. I guess they’re better slightly too big vs slightly too small, but when I order again, I’ll probably get mediums.

I will say, I haven’t exposed these gloves to gasoline or brake cleaner yet, so I can’t comment on how chemical-resistant they are. They do fine with oil, trans fluid, and brake fluid though.

I have used nitrile gloves in woodworking for years for many reasons; I am very satisfied with these AMMEX gloves: (1) Dry hands and hands with fine sawdust on them make it hard to grip boards; nitrile gloves immensely improve traction which is especially useful when guiding wood through cuts (tablesaw, jointer, bandsaw, etc, and for similar needs.

With these particular gloves, they are the only ones I have found to have a pattern of ridges molded into them that provides additional grip. So, having better positive control of wood being machined translated into improved safety.

(Aside: I prefer bare hands when using hand tools to have better tactile feel. ) (2) These AMMEX gloves are made of a better quality nitrile than the cheap ones you can get, the result being that they last much longer because the gloves don’t split very readily.

(There are a very small number that did fail prematurely on me. ) Because they last longer (and I mean that in a weekend day of woodworking, I would go through a pair of cheap gloves in an hour or less before they would split.

With these, I actually have worked multiple days with one pair. ) So, I think they’re cheaper in the long run. I do continue to use the cheap ones when I’m doing glue-ups (especially with CA glue!!) since they can just be disposed of and your hands stay clean.

(3) In general, nitrile gloves are far safer than fabric gloves for woodworking. If a fabric glove were to snag on a spinning blade, there is a high chance you’d get pulled into it with devastating consequences.

With these nitrile gloves, a blade would just cut it (and you beneath it!), but it would not pull you in. (4) Less splinters! The glove gets them and not your skin. There are many more reasons & uses, but those are my top ones.

I recommend these gloves!.

These gloves have nice bumpy texture grip helpers. Usually I’d order a Medium in smooth 5 mil gloves; thought if these are truly 8 mil thick, might need larger size. On putting on, glove to the dominant hand feels snug.

If air temp or body temp or work area is warm, the gloves become loose and a bit sloppy, so the gloves are NOT as thick and heavy-duty as described. I estimate thickness to be more like 5-6 mils maximum.

If pulled on quickly, palm or back of glove may rip, then disintegrate. B-. If I reorder, I’d better stick to Medium and use talcum powder to slide them on.

I ordered the same size I always do in gloves the large. I found that the top of the glove where the strap is was narrower than normal. I actually had a hard time getting them on. Once on I found that I could easily work in the glove.

Because I have only used them a few times I can not comment on how long the tips will last. That is the main reason I bought the gloves as I wear through numerous pairs of gloves in a garden season with holes in the tips of the glove.

If you are near any thing with thorns they do pierce through the glove. For these reasons I am giving them a 4. You may want to order the larger size.

The fingertips of every garden glove I have tried wear through quickly. I have a medical condition that requires gloves and a mask in order for me to safely handle soil. Dirt under my fingernails is a big no-no! These gloves are the answer.

The finger tips feel durable and the rest of the glove has a good fit for my small hands. The design makes for easy on and off. I will definitely be buying more pairs and highly recommend these gloves.

This Buddha is STUNNUNG. I have it under roof cover in front of home for over 2 years now & it gets the attention of everyone! It is quite large. I was afraid it would be stolen so I drilled a hole in the back lumbar area & filled it with heavy gravel & cemented it to to a base.

I also surrounded it with river rocks. Furthermore, i spray painted it a dark bronze color because I wanted it to be even & I sealed it with outdoor sealer to protect it from the elements as it faces east & gets all the harsh morning sun rays.

It does not disappoint. The quality far exceeds many others I have seen at other stores. I could not be happier!!!.

I like this statue. I have not yet placed it where it will ultimately be, which is outside where another statue feature is currently located. When that space is available, which should be in a few weeks, the Buddha will move to its outdoor location.

It is simply much too large to remain indoors; in fact, it is the approximate size of a small adult, albeit in a sitting, meditative position. I’d recommend this to anyone who has room to display it.

It is solidly built, heavy enough to be stable, but still light enough to be maneuvered if necessary. After it’s been outside for a while, I expect there will be some dirt and debris collecting here and there on it, but I think a light spraying with a garden hose should take care of that.

We just added this to our gardens and it is a very nicely made and looking piece. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was it’s weight. It’s well balanced and sits upright in significant wind but it is light in weight for it’s height.

Another 10lbs in the base would balance it nicely. We live on top of a mountain in CO so winds can reach speeds in excess 70 mph often. I’ve settled on a sheltered spot under a Portland Pine that is shielded from some wind by a few boulders.

This is a worth considering it has a real presence to it.

This product fits like a pair of gloves should ! I can manipulate small items like nuts and bolts without having to remove my gloves. I wear them every day to work and a pair will last me at least 2 weeks.

I’ve been using the SHOWA 370B Large gloves for about four years and they’ve served me well. They provide great protection for general garden and hobby work, except for working with thorny plants. The Large size was a bit tight on finger length which caused the thumb and index finger tips to wear through more quickly, so I recently moved up to XL, which are a better fit.

They are very flexible and a little tacky, so they pick up small objects easily and they also work well with touchscreens (when glove area doing touching is relatively clean). I bought the 12-pack from Aabaco Environmental.

I have large hands and the XL fit perfect. Do not undersize, it can cause hand cramps. I use them for painting, stripping finishes and working on the car. Pretty darn durable. I should have bought two boxes.

LOL. Will buy again.

These are great gloves. They stand up to chemicals used in the garage. Protects hands. They don’t tear like cheaper gloves. I only buy these now.

GREAT!! This is the 3rd time I’ve order Thicksters. Great for mechanical/electrial stuff and my main use, cracking and cleaning walnuts. Protects my hands while still allowing me to pick up small nut pieces.

These gloves are the best. Seriously. The best. I operate forklift for a living loading trailers so the pads of my hands hurt because I’m turning the steering wheel so frequently. Weird, I know. But the little palm pads on these have prevented that from happening anymore.

I didn’t know when I bought them that those were a thing but I squealed like a little girl again when I realized it when I put them on at work. They’re warm enough for this crap cold weather the midwest has been frequented with but will probably be too warm in the summer.

I keep them on constantly so they kind of already smell, but I’ll just wash them so no big deal. My one itty bitty complaint is the velcro. I wish these came with elastic cuffs. The velcro gets stuck to my sweatshirt and my sweatshirt cuffs are now getting torn up (company sweatshirt so who really cares but it’s like, the softest sweatshirt I own so I kind of do!) There’s also a real pokey tag inside the cuff, too but my sweat has broken it down pretty sufficiently (lol).

Despite using them 40-45 hours a week for the past three weeks, I haven’t noticed any integrity issues, so I’m hoping these will last much longer than the $12 generic Amazon pack that were quite useless.

I’m also really excited I found a women-owned/specific workwear company! So rad!.

I cannot say enough about this glove. I’m a rancher, do veterinarian work, lay flagstone, you get the picture. I’ve gone through leather gloves, this type of glove, seems like every glove out there. It seems fit-wise, others will fit through the hand and the tips of the fingers are too long and I can’t ever grasp anything with the tips because they bend over.

Others always wear through within a couple weeks. That’s a lot of gloves! These fit like a “glove. ” And are reinforced in all the right places. I’ve been laying flagstone in sand the last three months.

Went through my normal pair of leather gloves the first week. Purchased my first pair of these gloves immediately thereafter. I just replaced my first pair of Dovetail Gloves. Rock and sand are terribly abusive.

I’m excited to be finished with that project now that Fall is approaching and preg testing bison and cattle has begun. These will last much longer. Living in Wyoming, it would be great to have an insulated glove! Kudos to the perfect glove!.

I ordered the small and the x-small and I’m keeping them both. The x-small fits a tiny bit better but the small is plenty better than every other work glove I have had. I have only had them a day or two and hope yall email me back in the fall and ask again.

I love that I have decent dexterity with the fingers AND the feel durable AND I can answer my phone!!!! WHAT!!!! I have some overalls on the way and am excited for them to arrive. My daughter told me about this company and it is one of the many powerfully wonderful things she has shared with me.

I bought these for farm work for lifting tree stumps, handling branches and occasionally for the chainsaw. I’d say they are really good for certain tasks like gripping wood, metal, boxes, anything really.

Now sharp objects on the other hand like roses or thistles they will go right through the tough gripped palms not much protection at all, so be careful with pointy things. Now the material on top of the glove and around the fingers is good quality hasn’t ripped off or started tearing yet.

Though I have not tested the tear toughness yet with say a knife. I wouldn’t want to try that to be honest. Lastly the flexibility and movement of the glove. It works very well I can move all my fingers with ease much better than using a thick padded glove.

Only one con which is the grip on the glove, it has started peeling off. Don’t get me wrong it lasted a while before the peeling started, so I would still get this, just replace them when that happens.

Can’t review as Gold Star didn’t pack this glove in my order. Contacted them 6wks ago, eventually replied they would send the correct gloves but 3wks on still no email confirmiration they have been sent & nothing has arrived in the post.

Let’s blame Covid shall we, bad service seems have this get out clause for this year & next!.

Ordered these for a bricklaying course and at first I was worried I’d ordered the wrong size as the large felt a bit tight and not so flexible between thumb and forefinger but after the first hour of working it soon loosened and was the perfect fit, robust for all the action required laying bricks.

Will get more moving forward.
