20 Best Gloves For Sparring (2022 Updated)

I love my new fairtex gloves the quality is amazing it truly is some of the best gloves on the market this my third pair of gloves I have a very cheap entry level glove that had very poor wrist support, and a midrange glove that is decent but just terribly designed by the wrist and over time would just come loose after training.

Hence why I decided to invest in a proper pair of gloves and after doing numerous amounts of research I decided to go with fairtex and I very happy I did. It’s got great wrist support which is very important especially with bag work.

It has snug fit to where my hands feel secure and won’t slide around like my cheap pair. If your serious about your boxing/kickboxing/muay Thai/mma journey definitely invest it some quality gloves it’s been a tremendous difference already!.

Really enjoy the BGV1 gloves that I purchased – I’ve tried many different brands of MT gloves and I can honestly say that these are some of the best. Quality is fantastic, they look awesome lol, and the superb padding is what really stands out for me.

You will not feel a thing in these if you throw your punches correctly – it’s really amazing! The shipping was also super fast and the gloves came in mint condition. Definitely enjoy both the product and the service and would recommend.

Quality materials and workmanship – no issues there. My hands are larger than average, but not huge, and the 18oz gloves are slightly tight which is probably how they’re supposed to fit. Once they’re on you’re not going to be able to open a water bottle or anything, so be aware of that.

The velcro is very secure. The glove is a little “taller” on the striking surface from the top of the fist to the bottom than I would like it to be as there is “extra” glove that overhangs the index finger and pinky fingers.

Overall, the materials are great but it’s a $100 pair of gloves and I think you could be better served getting two or three lesser priced pairs of gloves and trying them out. I wish I had tried these on in person instead of ordering them blind.

I like the construction but am not crazy about the fit.

I bought these gloves several months ago because I go through bag gloves quickly, I have heavy hands, I’d never tried the imf system and wasn’t expecting anything too different from all the others. As of this writing the cushioning has still not compressed, and the long stable cuffs have helped my wrist pain.

I really recommend these for bag work, they are a real bargain.

I just got these and I have to say they are crap. Padding is barely there my instantly hurt from one use was extremely disappointed. Walmart has a better pair for two bucks more 9round is the brand and they are significantly better quality.

I was hoping that because I was getting these from Dick’s it would have been better quality. Don’t waste your money on these. Just also to say only thing I have ever gotten from Dick’s that I was disappointed in.

I’m not a fighter, but I’m married to an ex-MMA cage fighter who recommended Fairtex. I’m going to use the gloves to train with him as a fun work out. The gloves look just as good as the pictures and feel comfortable on.

These are my absolute favorite sparring gloves. I’ve had multiple colors based off of availability at the different times of purchase and all are of top quality. Great durable product.

Give great feedback when hitting pads or the bag. Have tried all the big brands and these are superior to all of them

I haven’t put them through the ringer of time yet, but they are well put together, look great and are perfect for sparring. In tournament sparring where I am, the fingers have to be covered. So, I sized up one, however this was not for me a huge stretch— my gloves cover my fingers just fine and provide enough wrist support I can use them on the bag for an extended period of time no problem.

Definitely not as soft as the plastic century types you see everywhere, but look way better and will do the trick. Probably not for people who are newer to the sport and don’t have the control to pull punches in tournament sparring, because the padding is a bit harder (but not much) and will definitely hurt, but enough padding that you can definitely use them without any injury to your opponent.

Stay in place when jumping all over, haven’t slipped yet, and the open palm/fingers allow for great palm strike/blocks with the mitt portion being flexible enough you can open your hand without effort.

All around great product.

When I got the gloves I was impressed for the look and feel of the glove. The support on the wrist was excellent. However the first training session came and the stiches of the glove started to blow of right away and the lower velcro strap seemed poorly finished.

Also the placement of the pinky hole felt slightly awkward. Great looking glove with good wrist support but the finishing seems a bit sloppy. Contacted the shop where I bought em about the stitching already.

I for all intents and purposes want to love these gloves. They’re beautiful, they fit snug and have great wrist support, but there’s a major problem that I’m sure Isn’t limited to my own experience. I have rather slim hands so my fingers rest close together , closer than the finger cutouts on these gloves.

When forming my hand into a fist, there’s a lot of tension pulling outward on my fingers and by the end of a day of fighting there’s visible red marks and some pain at the base of my pinky fingers from the hard leather that is stitched right there.

I tried two different sets of these gloves and the smaller size just didn’t fit my hands at all. I imagine someone with shorter or thicker hands could wear these gloves and not get this same effect but it’s quite troublesome for me.

Love the look of these gloves, especially the color schemes. The leather is nice and gloves are well built. The extra finger/knuckle material and padding is unique and was a big reason for purchase. Unfortunately, had to remove plastic palm grip tube, with exacto knife, as tube made it impossible to make a complete fist.

Worst part is extremely short strap that doesnt make for tight wrist support AT ALL. Strap should have been extra long with elastic section. I am 5 ft 8 in tall, 135 lbs, small frame, and Large glove size was too tight.

Should have bought Extra Large to make room for boxing hand/wrist wrap.

I had to give this product 1 star to wright this review. Truthfully this product requires a negative star. The size runs extra small and the stitching will cut into your hands. I would not recommend this product to anyone who takes there workout/Training serious.

I have Everlast gloves and thought I would try something new. That was a horrible mistake/experiance. I have since went back to my old gloves and have new Everlast on there way. Also for (Patriots) this is NOT an American made product and it shows in the quality of the product.

These gloves are indeed worth the price. The quality is superb. I would definitely recommend these for boxing enthusiasts.

Perfect fit, like made for my hands. Comparing to Everlast, which gave me pretty sore knuckles in the beginning, Fairtex fit without a single complaint. Quality and look are first class.

I urge people to buy from the manufacturer, since prior to my purchase I had gotten fake Fairtex a from another place. Getting the real ones really showcase the craftsmanship and difference between the two.

The PC board is commercial quality but there are no credible instructions for winding the transformers or setting up the PA bias values. As a person with extensive experience with surface mount RF construction, I am dismayed at the lack of documents.

Searching the internet, there are conflicting instructions but “NOTHING WORKS AS ADVERTISED”.

Very happy with the frame. Has clear and bright HD image, the size is good enough for a small shop, to represent your products as i did. The frame is very light weight and durable enough. The best part is the price, quite reasonable for the size and the quality of the picture.

You will not regret if you buy it.

Perfect gloves for hard training. I train 21 hours a week with these gloves and the quality is great, no sweating or uncomfortable hands. Good air pockets and finger room. Enough good protection for the hands without feeling bulky or stiffness.

Perfect for sparring and bag work. I have many gloves but I put these on when I go hard.

Store is legit, I had doubts but they delivered quick and the product appears real. Can’t speak to durability yet but so far so good

Great gloves. I use them for bag work and for occasional sparring. Great amount of wrist support and decent protection. Wear good hand wraps with them and protect your bones. Only downside is I bought them a size smaller than I should’ve.

The extra padding of the bigger gloves would come in handy. And this is just me but my hands sweat quite a bit when I wear them. Thank goodness for handwraps soaking it up. Overall great glove. Not perfect, but very close.

I purchased a pair of the Blue 16 oz ones for sparring about a year ago and they are still going strong. Decided to purchase the gold 12 oz ones for bag work and other training and absolutely love them as well.

I’m very convinced these are the best gloves for the value.

These gloves are great! Already have a bend to them so they fit comfortable right away. I definitely would recommend these

I bought these for my grandson’s MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) classes and so far they gloves have performed well. Let’s see what the time and use will say but up to know I would recommend them. My grandson is 6 years of age and very energetic and if they have lasted so far, well, I think these gloves are a good choice.

DIY class equipment. Good value for the price. Great way to speed up home drywall projects. It require a universal vacuum hose adaptor to connect it to a shopvac. However a little packing tape between the sander hose and the shopvac hose worked fine for me in a pinch.

The shampoo does not irritate the cats and so far so good. Not sure if it kills fleas as after bathing both cars all looked and smelt lovely. We had one rouge flea appear after. Think combined with flea treatment it is a very good.

It is a practical way to protect breakable dishes when ” rugrats ” are helping with dish washing ! No, I wouldn’t call it entertaining, but, gratifying, that we made it through one more night without broken dishes, or cut hands to mend !!.

Lovely gloves and great value for money. Quite a small fit but I have very small hands so the’re good for me. I hope to get many years out of them.

Good quality sparring gloves, bought them for my boxercise training at the gym. Very pleased with the purchase.

Just finished 12 rounds on the heavy bag and my hands are not sore at all. Extremely impressive performance on the bags. The interior is perfect and the full velcro strap is a smart move. These can work for Muay Thai and traditional boxing IMO.

Love the shorter cuff. The best feature to me is the quality of the padding – firm and super protective. Outperformed much more expensive gloves, in my experience. 5 stars all day and highly highly recommended! Everlast – great job on these gloves.

Nice choice of synthetic leather also. I would market these to western boxers too. Thank you!.

I was looking for a specific bag gloves, as my old cheaper gloves died with heavy bag usage. I’ve waited for a couple of months to write this. So. I got large, and they are a little small sized for my hands, although these have stretched / eased up a bit.

The curvature of the glove is not very square so you can impact your fingers if you’ do punch slightly off square. The wrist wrap is. a pain. It doesn’t add much stability really and with the gloves on doing the second glove up is hard.

Longevity wise they haven’t split or had excess wear in 2 months, with around 30-40 minutes use a day, 4 times a week. There is a little wear where the velcro has worn the outside finish off a bit. For what you pay, they are pricey.

You may be better going for a more expensive gloves, in leather that you can spar with. Weight options would be nice too rather than just size.

I’d like to first state that I am quite pleased with the customer support I received. I have recently moved, so there was a slight issue with the mailing address and billing address (my old residence) associated with my card.

Rival left me a voice mail; I called them back and resolved the issue within minutes (the lady I spoke to was very polite), and my order was shipped an hour or so later. On to the gloves: I have slightly small hands, however I ordered the 14oz gloves because I use Winning gel pads under my wraps, so I wanted to make sure there was some room.

I made the perfect decision, as these gloves work beautifully with my gel pads! Just the right amount of space, so the gloves are snug but not tight with wraps and guards on. I would say however, if you have large hands and use knuckle guards, you might want to contact customer support and see if they offer a glove with a larger hand compartment.

As for the protection, these gloves are fantastic at absorbing the impact of the punches. You get really great feedback with these; you can hear the “pop” on the bag. The shape of the gloves works very well too, as my old “round” type Ringside Apex gloves gave my some finger pain, however these feel great after a prolonged workout! Good job Rival!.

Because the thumb is held so far forward and so far out i can’t make a tight enough fist and can’t strike the bag with a straight wrist. This has caused me to injure a knuckle. Gloves seem well made but the padding is so effective it lets you get away with bad technique.

This was a choice i made. I perhaps should have got wraps.

Well, they are good for grappling. They provide zero protection for punching or any other striking movements. One class in and my hands were beat to heck and my second knuckles were chafed up and bleeding.

The wrist strap provided no support at all. They run exceptionally large. I’m 6ft 1 and have relatively normal sized hands. Smalls were almost too big for me.

There are a lot of options for MMA gloves at this price point, but these are some of the better ones I’ve used. They have good padding over the knuckles, hands and thumbs so they are great for sparring and training.

They also have good wrist support with wrap around bands that let you forego dedicated wraps for training. They have a nice comfortable fit whilst still allowing for ease of movement – grappling, takedowns, submissions and striking are all easy.

Honestly, it’s easy to forget you’re wearing them which is one of the signs of great gloves. There are higher quality options for sure, but until you get up to the $85+ range, these do a great job for training and sparring.

I love these gloves. I use them to work out on my punching bag and they fit perfectly. I love that my fingers are not covered completely like the boxing gloves. Very good quality. I actually had a pair and purchased another pair.

It has a strap that wraps comfortably around my wrists so my hands and wrists feel well protected. I love them.

My Girl LOVES them. She get compliments at the gym all the time on these. Please keep in mind these will need about a week of two of break in time. As time goes on they we break in find and you will be in love with these gloves.

The provide decent impact protection and great wrist support!.

After buying and returning three sets of gloves I finally found these. This is my second pair of RDX gloves and these are an upgrade from my old F-10 model. Snug fit (almost too snug) great for stability of hand and wrist but you will have to use traditional hand wraps, both pairs of my padded inner wrist support gloves did not fit with this model.

However the support and stability was worth the trade off. Great glove.

I Gifted this to my girlfriend, she totally loved it, it looks quite elegant!!
