20 Best Gloves For Training (2022 Updated)

Padding does not cover the crease of the hand adequately. Padding is up on palm of hand and ineffective for weight lifting. Bought the “mens” gloves, no need to have “mens training gloves”, just “training gloves” will do.

I bought these gloves for my brother for Christmas. I know he is going to love them. Theyre new Nike gloves with cut out fingers. Hes been wanting a pair for a long time.

A lot of hanging threads which make them look poorly made or poorly finished. They fit well though.

I was a bit concerned about sizing. I measured at the high end for medium but decided not to go for a large because I’d rather have them be a bit snug. I’m glad I got the medium because the large would have been too large in the fingers.

As for the wrist strap, I have pretty small wrists but there was no way I was getting these to close all the way, and partially closed the velcro rubbed against my skin. I just tucked the loose bit under and problem solved, no rubbing, and because it was snug to begin with it stayed in place.

I definitely think these will keep my hands from getting torn up as I advance to heavier weights (which is why I got them to begin with). They washed well (in a mesh bag on delicate cycle) but I think I’ll turn them inside out next time because there were a lot of loose little black threads that came off on my hands after the first use (probably just cause they’re new).

They seem like they’ll hold up one time but it’s too soon to tell.

So this is my third pair of gloves. The first two half finger gloves. I purchased these because of the virus and only wish I had done in sooner. I have excellent grip with these gloves and it really does a fantastic job with preventing calluses.

It has cushioning in the perfect spots (middle of each finger). I’m pretty sure these will be as durable as my other two. Besides the protection and grip, what I really enjoy about these gloves are the breathability.

Man I hate it when gloves get sweaty and stinky. NOT THESE! If you’re considering these AWESOME GLOVES, then get them. Two Things: 1. I DON’T WORK FOR THIS COMPANY AND I HAVE NO AFFILIATIONS WITH THEM OR NO ONE ELSE.

I lift weights a few days a week. Wearing gloves to protect the ligaments is a good idea. After some time without using gloves I will feel some pain in the fingers. I normally use gloves with the half finger which works great.

I bought these full finger gloves to see how I liked them. After a few workouts they fit well and I think they prevent any damage to the ligaments. These are good gloves but I still prefer the half finger gloves because I still have more feeling and control of the fingers.

Love the padding inside this glove. Really feels good to the hand especially when lifting weights. The wrist wrap is really awesome, because it supports the wrist really well and cuts down on injuries to the wrist when working out.

Overall good glove, just wish that it had those pull tabs on all the fingers, so the glove won’t be so difficult to pull off your hand.

I have been lifting weights for about 35 years and have always used training gloves. Just recently I developed a problem with one of my finger’s joint. I found these gloves in my gym bag and started using them.

I have ALWAYS been a Harbinger user/wearer of training gloves and was happy to see they are still around, however; under a different brand. Since using these gloves my joint issue has gone away! The padding under the fingers is thin enough to hold barbells and dumbbells, but padded enough to keep my joint from being irritated.

I love the way the Velcro strap stays in place around my wrist and how the fingers of the glove do not scrunch down or loose their shape. I loved them so much that I bought three more pairs. I highly recommend these gloves to the novice weight lifter and to the more experienced gym rat!.

I have had to buy way too many gloves in the past. I tend to go through them in just a couple of months. I’ve only had these for a month or so and because of that, I don’t know how well they’ll wear over time.

Beyond that, these appear to be a superior product over others I’ve bought in the past. My last pair did not last me very long at all. These are built differently though. More of a single piece rather than multiple.

I suspect they will last much longer. On top of that I’ve tried lately to use my gloves less and less. They will serve their purpose on certain bars I have that like to shred my hands. I do think these gloves are a little pricey, but I’m also feeling the extra price is justified.

They fit well, have good grip, and provide a nice level padding. Not too much, not too little. I especially hate too much padding on push exercises and these haven’t given me an issue. Once I do wear these out I would have no problem spending the money on another pair, that is, if I’m even still using gloves.

One of the best engineered gloves I’ve ever owned in terms of impact protection and safety engeneering. The break in period was awful. The biggest issue is imbalance between the left and right gloves.

The left slips on and performs perfect from day one. Makes me wish I had two left hands. The right glove is a hot mess. It’s a completely different feel. There is a ton of pressure on the thumb, every strike feels like a hammer on my nail.

It’s brutal. The grib bar prevents the little and ring fingers from completely sliding in. And, there is an unusual and painful pressure effect on the hand that trails up to your forearm. Honestly feels like a vice grip on the hand.

If both gloves felt reasonably the same I’d chalk it up strictly to break period. All this being said, coming out of the break in, I love the gloves and do recommend them as compared to alternatives in the same price category.

Purchased a pair for my gym class box fit. While they’re ok, and do the job. The padding isn’t great, they was only 10oz but in comparison to say a pair of rdx gloves they seemed a bit lightweight. So I’d recommend 14oz or above to protect your hands more.

They’re the cheaper end of the everlast range. Maybe that’s why. But for me RDX are best value for money,I have a pair of those now and for the same price as these everlast ones the quality is so much better for your money.

They’re ok,but that’s about it. No problems with sports direct at all, ordered loads over Christmas and never had a problem at all. I’m just saying the product isn’t great for the money compared to RDX gloves.

I am a mother of 3 young boys, needless to say there is a lot of rough housing! The colors are bright and the gloves are well made. They fit all the kids from 5-10 years old. The gloves have great cushion and don’t hurt when playing.

The pillowed gloves are good for protecting where it is used as well as your hands inside. Really a lot of fun for all ages.

I bought the 14oz. gloves. These gloves are very well made and very stylish but they are very hard to get on, even harder with wraps on. They’re are uncomfortable. I thought I might of bought youth gloves by mistake, but I didn’t see anything in the description to indicate this.

I was told by the coach at the gym they are really good gloves, well worth the money and that once they are worn in they will be fine. I bought a pair of cheaper gloves (also 14oz) five years ago that are 60% leather.

These gloves felt really good the first time I tried them on. They fit well, like they were made for my hands and I got a lot out of them over the years. I was expecting a similar experience with the Hayabusa S4’s but just a bit disappointed.

I paid double for the Hayabusa than I paid for my old gloves. I hope the coach is right, and that I grow to love my new gloves as much as I love my old ones. Maybe it’s just a case of ‘love at first feel’ vs ‘a slow burn’.

I really like this mouth guard. My previous mouth guard was also from a reputable company with a similar price point. I like the Hayabusa mouthguard a lot more. It is protective, not overly bulky, and feels good.

When I was getting this fitted, I boiled it a few times to get it fitted correctly. I was impressed because it really went back to its original form and allows me to start over to get it fitted right.

My only “complaint” is the design. I don’t really like the logo right in front, but it’s just superficial and doesn’t affect the product.

I would use old used sparring gloves at the gym I was training bjj at. I never done striking but took an interest and had no idea that there’s different oz you have to wear while sparring, I had 14oz everlast I got at Walmart and the Muay Thai coach an old pair he had felt way different.

Since I buy my Gi’s off Sanabul figured get gloves too. For my first pair I felt a difference from the gloves my coach gave, given they were used the new Sanabul felt way different on the wrist. The gel has a comfort that’s different for the everlas 14oz too and those were new.

The 16oz my coach gave me felt stiff when I would land a strike on my partner and it would hurt my pointer and middle finger even when my hands are wrapped. With the Sanabul it felt more comfortable with the landed strikes.

After bjj class I got asked for light sparring and even with out wraps on I had a comfortable power right even though we weren’t going 100% it was more like 45% power either way I felt protected. My Muay Thai coach asked if he can pick them up and look at them and said in Thailand it’s frowned upon to pick up another person’s gloves but him and my bjj coach really liked the design and texture of the glove.

Other student gave me complements too idk if it’s cus I’m new but from a distance they looked really nice. They inside also feels amazing breathable hands don’t get too sweaty and they are comfortable.

These gloves have some great wrist support, also the shape is right. It allows you to strike hard, even without wraps, if you add wraps you could punch a brick wall and your wrists would be fine. It’s a nice material, and color.

The feel isn’t quite as nice as some of the $60 or $80 + dollar gloves, and they need some breaking in. But the function is the same. So unless you need that “supple” feeling, it’s not worth another $40.

They’re functional and affordable. Perfect combination, and perfect middle ground.

Theys fit nice and tight … Witch is good for weight lifting. They are padded in just the right places and the velcro closure is secure (my previous gloves the velcro was always coming undone)

Bought as a stocking stuffer for my 15 year old. He loves them, uses them for his weight lifting for high school football

I have been using leather HARBINGER gloves (and no other glove/’make’ ) for MANY YEARS – though I am NOT a sport person. My physical appearance looks more as Gandhi’s than a weight lifter’s : ) Because of their ergonomics I started using HARBINGER leather gloves for dual purposes: to drive a car and to do my ‘street photography’.

Among all the advantages the gloves provide they are useful when driving, even when the steering wheel are hot after parking or the weather very cold when doing photography in the morning. The gloves last for years; and I only replaced them if and whenever by inadvertence I loose them.

As a photographer who uses heavy professional cameras often coupled with long heavy lenses the gloves are most suitable. My last two purchases of HARBINGER TRAINING GRIP WRIST WRAP was a blessing! The HARBINGER TRAINING GRIP WRIST grips firmly but gently around my wrists thus preventing ‘camera shake’ when walking/running during picture taking at street protests for example.

My friends/comrades always joke that “Desire would NEVER go out without his gloves” and it’s true! When outside I only remove the right hand one when I have to sign documents (at any Department or Chemist’s shop or when having blood tests.

) In a poetic way, I may affirm that The HARBINGER TRAINING GRIP WRIST WRAP are as near to my heart as they are to my wrists.

I purchased a Medium of these but felt like they were instantly cutting off circulation in my forefinger, pinky, and thumb. I returned them the next day to exchange for a larger pair but even the Large were extremely tight.

I eventually purchased XL but when I got them the same exact problem happened – the forefinger and pinky are extremely tight to the point of cutting off circulation. Recommend avoiding until they can size their gloves properly.

I was looking for wrist support in a weight training glove. This glove is definitely better quality than most women’s weight glove currently available. Gloves provides quite good support & protection to hands & fingers (benchpress & dead lift 30 -50kgs) also great tabs on fingers to assist with ease of removal.

Would have liked wider wrist support, but happy with purchase.

I think the craftsmanship and quality of the gloves are excellent. However, my gloves do have a major defect! There is something wrong with the thumb area for the left glove. My left glove is unbearably painful to wear and train in.

Initially, I thought that if I just wore the gloves without my wraps, I could just break in my gloves, create space, and the discomfort would just go away. Unfortunately, I had to remove my gloves several times during my last training session because I just couldn’t take the pain.

These are 18 oz gloves, and I don’t have a problem fitting any other gloves 18 oz or less from other brands. This was a huge disappointment. Everything else about these gloves are perfect, but I also notice this is a reoccurring complaint.

Everlast has other high-end gloves I would love to purchase, but I purposely avoiding doing so because of complaints I read regarding the thumb areas ruining the comfort of the gloves. I didn’t see those same complaints for these gloves, but I guess I got a bad pair.

For the price, these gloves are awesome! I got this cheap pair for friends, when they come over. They’re not in the same class as my other gloves (the 1910 gloves), buy they fit (I use 14oz gloves and got the S/M size for these) well.

The quality is decent; the wrist strap feels a bit thin, and the cloth inside at the fingertips bunches on occasion, but otherwise, they’re awesome gloves! The website is very simple and easy to use, as well.

These gloves went straight up on the wall of my bar. Of course, I had to try them on first. My last fight was in 1974, the gloves, 8 oz. brown Everlast. It was amazing to feel these gloves on my hands again.

The printed nike logo starts coming off after a few days of use and completely off after a wash. Poor cloth material has started ripping off. Did not expect such a cheap and low quality product from an expensive brand.

Item returned. Not recommended.

I bought these gloves and found that within a couple of days use, the stitching on the palms that hold the cushioning for thE palms was coming loose. I hoped this was just a bit of wearing in and hit the loose threads with a tiny bit of superglue.

However, other ares of the stitching in the palms have continued to come loose and unravel. Given the price of these gloves I was expecting a quality product. Not even close. Don’t buy these gloves!!!! Definitely NOT worth the high price!.

These are great! Good cushion and support! The wrap around straps are perfect and creates more stability then over gloves. I recommend👍🏾

It offers fantastic wrist support which was my main goal in buying it. Ventilation and padding are ok. Unfortunately major drawback is that the finger sleeves or the part covering the fingers were way too short.

Due to this it tends to bunch up when I’m gripping dumbells, making it uncomfortable. It could’ve been awesome if not for this.

These are nice because they have a really big wrist protector that is elastic and can be tightened really hard, so your wrist won´t move, they are amazin in that area, hard to find gloves like this. The cushing and finger coverage is not their strongest point, needs a little more cushing, and being a little longer at the fingers, other than that, they´re fine.

I have used mine several times for weight lifting and they hold up well, no tears or anything yet. Word of advice: with all gloves, let them rest in warm water for 30 mins to an hour, then let them dry on the sun, don´t use soap or detergent.

I got mine in XL as all my gloves from many other known brands.

The fit of the gloves is really good, though the extension bits at the fingers can curl up after washing and is a bit flimsy when using the gloves – suggest cutting them off yourself. Otherwise, the stitching is a bit shabby too and loose strings often pop up.

The wrist bands are perfect and the padding is on point. Overall love the product I bought 2 pairs.

These gloves have nice thick padding over the palm area, which makes them perfect for workouts wher you have to push a lot of weight such as benchpress or parallel bars dips. However the fingers lengths are not the ideal length for workouts involving grabbing/pulling a lot of weight such as pull-ups or dumbell curls; in this case the fingers are too short and their edge dig into my fingers.

These well-padded gloves fit as well as higher priced gloves. They strap on as tightly or loosely as I like. They don’t have a “swoosh” on them, but I expect them to last 1 – 2 years. Hand wash and air-dry.

My pair are a camo-colored green.

Great protective gear. I got tired of callous like abrasions on my hands and received these from my bf. I usually put a little baby powder in these for the sweating. But these gloves are so very comfortable.

Having the product that seems to be out of stock everywhere in a larger size. Heads up these run small even in XL but still feel good, only reason I am deducting one star. Feels great and protects your hands and specific fingers at gripping points preventing blisters when you do consistent daily sessions where grip is necessary for workout.

Pair very stylish gloves, beautiful finishes worthy of nike, just pay attention to the edge seams of the half fingers. Soft and pleasantly reinforced leather in the palm of the hand. Great product! Little advice to remove them: fold the back of the glove up to half the palm of your hand, then advance finger by finger without pulling with a sharp blow.

Tight around the knuckles, hope they stretch a bit. Bought size Large they fit pretty good. If you have thick fingers I would be concerned. I don’t have thick fingers and I find them tight.

After a few gym sessions to break the gloves in they have not failed to disappoint. They certainly feel and look good, in fact a number of fellow gym goers has asked about them. After owning 2 pairs of leather boxing gloves Sting products are my immediate go to for any training accessories without question.

These gloves are very comfortable to use and have good grip and padding where needed. They add a bit of colour to the gym and flex well. The only minus is they stain the hands a bit with the black dye but I assume this will diminish after a couple of washes.

Overall a great glove and I would definitely buy them again.

Apart from the fact my sixteen year old says I look like I should be on a BMX (I chose lime green and black) I love them. This is the second pair of weights gloves from Sportsfuel I have purchased. They last ages, are so comfy and the service is always great.

I used biking gloves for a month and they started to wear out in crucial seams. These gloves complete the package. Here’s my take on the whole Undersun program: LEG DAY is still LEG DAY! Even though I used nothing but Undersun bands, they just kicked my butt….

I bought the whole package months ago, threw it in my suitcase and continued to work out in my home gym…. Fast forward to four weeks ago when I began my extended vacation. The day after my arrival I pulled out my Undersun bands, opened the TA2 BUILD program on my Undersun app and said “ok, let’s see what this is all about.

” Halfway through my first workout I began to realize “HEY, THIS REALLY WORKS. ” I have worked out almost every day since and my enthusiasm continues to grow. My housemates are getting tired of my constantly raving about how much I love these bands.

No way I’m going to the gym here as I have for many years. Plus, it’s so convenient to workout in the comfort of my bedroom. This is the perfect solution. I first discovered Undersun on YouTube. James won me over with his calm, unhyped, no-nonsense yet sincere and obviously credible manner.

Everything I’ve heard him say (in many different videos) rings true. One important item I will reinforce is: be vigilant with your form. These bands are not toys. Just as with any exercise, improper form can lead to injury.

While doing deadlifts I began talking to my girlfriend, not paying attention. (Can I blame her?) The old L-5 vertebrae reminded me in a painful way to focus. There was also good pain. The first few workouts left certain muscles sore – just like starting any new workout program.

Had the bands about 3. 5 months and I train 2 major muscle groups per day 5 days per week and the results are coming along. I’m not a “Gym rat” so I like to train at home and I find the resistance bands allow me to do just that, the bands are well made and give enough resistance to the avid keep fit enthusiasts to get good results.

They are portable so you can use them anywhere by the combined use of the door anchor. I am trying out various combinations of band use and have just purchased a second full set of bands so that I increase resistance and scope of training.

Would I recommend these bands and training plans ? Without shadow of a doubt, the bands are incredibly well made and the training plans work the only thing left to get results is to put in the effort and before long you will see what I mean.

By the way I’m 68 years of age and have been into keep fit and cycling since I was 19 and I would say that I now are beginning to look the best shape I have ever done, give them a try and like me you won’t be disappointed.

At the time of writing, I have used the gloves in a few sessions. Here are my first impressions: – They have an excellent grip, even for high levels of tension. – They are very comfortable and lightweight.

– They are true to size. I have an L, and they fit my hands perfectly. – They don’t interfere with the dexterity of the hands. – They work perfectly with smartphones—it almost feels like they are not there when scrolling or clicking icons on the screen.
