10 Best Glow Plug Igniter (2022 Updated)

The large cross wrench isn’t the best but it works. The fuel bottle is much thicker than it looks in the picture. The glow ignitor holds a charge for a good amount of time and recharges fast. The chrome plating on the flat head screw driver chipped off at the tip but it’s a very small screw driver so that is to be expected.

Over all I would recommend this kit even though there are others out there. It all basically comes from the same place anyways.

Was using a impossible glow plug starter that connected to my plane box and caused a lot of issues. This kit is perfect! It is portable and am not wasting any more nitro fuel with using the filler. 2 thumbs way up ur hiney!.

lightweight workable glow igniter. balanced and easy to use and does not interfere with prop on the plane, will not fall of the engine glow plug which makes for a safe effective igniter. arrived quickly and am very satisfied.

Dependable, long-lasting charge, tight fit on plug, good voltage output, …..one small issue is sometimes the threads between the battery and plug shaft get unscrewed from engine vibration

I used a brand new duracell battery in this, it wasnt enough to heat up the glow plug. The starter itself is well made but pretty useless in my opinion.

Works as described. A good backup for emergency use. Keep fresh as handy as it goes through them fast.

The SKYRC IMAX is the real version not a knockoff and the difference is night & day. This LIPO charger has better electronics and has a built in cooling fan to protect them. Also, the instructions are very detailed about everything you can imagine.

It also balances cells better and best of all it does not overcharge LIPOs like most chargers do, which will damage them beyond repair. Super charger for the price.

This kit came with everything needed to fit my Traxxas Rustler, and installation was simple and straight forward. The bearings that came in the kit are rubber sealed and smooth, they seem well made so far.

All the steel parts in this kit are thick and seem as though they will have very good longevity. I noticed two things when installing this kit that could be slightly concerning. The first is a slight fitment issue with the hub’s.

The lower pin is rather tight and could cause some binding in the suspension travel. The second is with the retainer ring that helps hold the upper pin in. It has a small split in it that the pin can slip out of should the grub screw come loose.

Ive been using the b6 mini for a couple of years to power all kinds of projects. Its very versatile and even has enough power to bring a dead car battery to life. Discharging takes a long time but charging is fairly quick unless its a monster of a battery- its wattage rating and the rating of your power supply will determine how much of those 50-60 advertised watts will be flowing.

I like it enough to have bought a second one for simultaneous use.

I bought this to replace my classic optima bumpers. Shape, color, and material is very similar however the mounting point is a bit different to the classic ones. It is still possible to install by using the available 4 screw holes under the chassis, its just missing the one big bolt upfront.

A good quality kyosho product nonetheless.

Contrary to what SOME people believe, when building a good Trail Rig, with decent Crawling ability. SOFTER Springs are the way to go!! You NEED at least 1/4″ of “Droop”. It pains me to see so many “Bashers” put down an ENTIRE Company, because THEY decided to get a good Trail Rig, and RUIN its capabilities by setting up the Suspension so it will be completely TOPPED OUT, not sinking down even a Hair, when they set it on the ground.

Google “Droop in RC”, and set your Rig up RIGHT, and you will really enjoy its Performance!.

Everything about this igniter is great. Lipo power, charging indicator, glow plug indicator. Only problem is it’s too short to use with nitro monster trucks with the body attached. When your RC is set up to start without having to remove the body.

having a short igniter defeats the purpose. The listing should be more clear on length because the pictures are not. It seemed longer than the “short” igniters but it’s the same length. Oh well, I’ll use it for now until I find something better/longer.

If u don’t care about length, or need a short igniter, this is the one you want for sure.

unlike other sealed glow igniter batteries, this one does not require periodic charging. I had problems getting to the flying field only to discover my glow igniter was low on charge. One of my friends recommended this product and it appears to be superior to non-lipo igniters.

My only concern is whether the shank is robust enough. Time will tell.

I havent had it long and it is my first lipo igniter. That said, it seems to fire extremely well. I am using it on a brand new lrp. 32. The led indicator for the plug status is also nice when you tug the starter and it doesnt fire, wondering if it is a bad plug or not.

Seems to be a quality item, but honestly, any glow driver should perform the way this one has if it is charged and used on a motor in good condition.

Good cool glow plug. O.S. has always made good stuff.

Bought to replace missing assembly on original Mills 0. 75 engine. Fitted perfectly and metered the fuel well enabling a more compact fitting in the aircraft. The tank itself is of robust material and should last well, and added to the fact that the assembly was about 50% cheaper than the nearest alterative replacement, is extremely good value!.

OS Four Stroke plugs are the plugs which other plugs are compared to. They are the “Daddies” of four stroke plugs. Other plugs try but never quite manage to equal the performance of these particular plugs.

I have been using OS glow plugs for more than 40 years. They are my main stay for any model engine.

I have broke of wore out quite a few of these starter systems because I didn’t follow the recommendations per the manufacturer of the product such as: Don’t let water or debris come in contact with the motor on the starter( dud this when washing the mud off of the R/C) If the r/c was not tuned correctly I would hold down the starter button for 30 -40 seconds at a time while turning the Air / Fuel mixture screws and it would sometimes take up to three times to do.

( Instructions specifically tell you to only do 1-2 second bursts when trying to start your r/c. But if you make a filter to go over the motor while operating the rc and tape a plastic bag over it when you wash it then it will last a lot longer.

Starter motor is defective. How can I get a replacement.
