20 Best Glue For Pottery (2022 Updated)

I have used this for ceramic crafting and also to adhere gems/beads/shells when making bird and fairy houses. If you let dry inside, they hold up nicely outside as well. I also used to repair a few of my own ceramic items that had chips.

It is a soft marshmellow fluff consistency so you need to get used to how much to use. More is less so that when you press the item onto what you need it stuck to, there is not an extra large blob. I controlled it better with a finger tip for smaller spaces.

You can wipe away excess to make it neat before it dries (nice – can re-shape or re-position if needed).

This worked great! It was very easy to use! I did read the product questions/answers and reviews, so I was careful to buy “inverted marking spray paint” and NOT buy the “striping” paint. It is very important that you buy the “marking” paint, as this allows the nozzle to be pushed from the side.

(For the record, I used this inverted marking spray paint “Rust-Oleum 266593 Professional 2X Distance Inverted Marking Spray Paint, 15 oz, White” (although I only got 365-370 linear feet instead of nearly 810 linear feet from this paint.

).

To use this you should wear gloves if you are inexperienced in working with this type of glue. It will bond your skin together and not easy to separate. Otherwise it is a very simple and useful glue to use.

Used with plastic. Had to hold the pieces together for several minutes before it would finally stick. The adhesion DID work, but it was a good 10-15 minutes of having to hold it in place.

This product was perfect for gluing my race numbers from the last 20 years together to make a “wall paper” for a wall in my workout room. I am not done yet, and may need more, but its worked wonderfully!.

Upon seeing the retail packaging I was amazed at how big it was and excited to see the volume of glue. Unfortunately, after opening the package and looking at the design, I realized that the plastic bottle-looking frame was just a “frame”.

Seems there is a smaller tube inside the plastic frame which was a bit of a disappointment however was very pleased at the design that the frame was actually a squeezing mechanism for releasing the glue.

Installing the applicator tip was super easy and turned onto the tube easily. The first squeeze took more pressure than expected to get the glue out, and subsequent uses thereafter also required the same or even a bit more pressure to get more glue out.

I double-checked that the applicator tip was turned all the way down to the tube and all was well yet it remained needing higher pressure squeezes to get glue to come out. The tip of the applicator was great for hard to reach and smaller applications so that was huge bonus however it may be a set back for bigger applications since you would need to squeeze a lot to get a lot of glue out.

After each use, I cleaned the tip and put the cap on tightly and neatly. Thus far I have used the glue a total of 9 times and each time, the glue came out without any issue except the fact that it required a hard squeeze each time to get glue to come out.

Overall, it’s a great product and if the squeezing mechanism worked easier, this would be a sure buy for me depending on the retail pricing.

I had 3 things that I needed to fix that have been sitting around my house forever, but since I never remembered to buy super glue, there they sat until I received Scotch No Run Gel Super Glue for free to test.

Frst on the list was my favorite pair of New Balance sneakers. I’ve had these for years and put a lot of miles on them until the tread started to separate at the back. Cleaned the surfaces, ran a thin bead around the perimeter (easy to get into the tight spaces with that applicator!) and a few drops in the center, then held it tight until it set.

Back in business! Second item was my ceramic light-up Christmas tree with a broken star. Applied the super glue, positioned the piece and then held it in place with some paper tape (like the kind you use to affix bandages) and left for a few minutes and it’s good as new! Last item was a wood 3 drawer cabinet that lost a corner on one of the drawers.

Luckily it broke off clean and again ran a bead down the middle and stuck it into place. This time I was a little too squirt-y and some squeezed out when pressed into place, so I just wiped it away easily with a paper towel.

Voila, drawer is whole again. Overall, very easy to use, and I like that the gel stays where you put it and doesn’t run off. The applicator doesn’t drip and there was virtually no mess (except when I got squirty) and doesn’t clog.

A great product for a variety of fixes!.

There are both things I liked and things I did not like. First off, puncturing the top was a lot harder than it should have been, It took me 3 tries to get it open. Second, the middle where you squeeze is different and when full works great, but when it gets down to the bottom, I about broke my fingers trying to get the last of it out, I used this on a project of flowers I made for one of my Christmas trees.

They I needed to glue the foam petals down because they were the base. The glue was great because it was a gel consistency and I could manage where I wanted it. But as it ran low, I think the “gel” consistency worked against me in trying to get the last of it out.

Which brings me to when you finish the bottle there is no way to tell except for the aching fingers of trying to squeeze the bottle. Needless to say, I only got 2 flowers done with this bottle and finished the other 5 flowers with a good old glue stick, Which ended up working better anyway.

So it was good while it lasted, but didn’t last very long. If I had a specific project that I needed to control the glue distribution, I would use this product,.

I really enjoy the Krazy Glue Adhesive because it makes my life easier to secure any wear and tear on items that may have broken. I love the tight seal this glue has. This product definitely speaks for itself!.

I love to use Krazy Glue for all of my quick fixes. I’ve used it to fix my broken makeup brushes, glue the soles back onto my shoes and other fixes around the house. This glue works so well, is super strong and dries quickly.

Highly recommend, but just remember, a little goes a long way!.

I always us crazy for everything. In a store it is expensive for just one. So when I saw it listed on Ebay at such a low price, I buy the package of five right away. It works very quickly and sticks on wood, plastic and most of everything else.

I don’t have such luck with other glues. I recommend this glue to everyone, especially at this price! BES.

You never know when you might need it. I used it to fix a broken plastic part from a solar charger that was loose. Fixed it instantly and easily since its a gel like consistency. Takes a little longer to dry but it’s much easier to use and just gives you more time to work and adjust anything before permanently gluing.

I use super glue with electronic projects and musical instrument repairs. The gel gives you more time to place the object you are cementing in line. The gel does not run as badly as its original cousin.

Highly recommended.

Great deal 2 tubes for the right price This is gelled super glue so it can be used any where just remember super glue wiill bond skin on contact keep away from eyes and mouth

I used this to repair a large ceramic sculpture and was initially skeptical because the glue comes out in tiny, watery drops and appeared to just get absorbed by the clay, but a few hours later I could lift the sculpture without the broken parts coming off.

This is amazing stuff though the tube and stopper can be a bit ungainly to handle because they’re so small.

fantastic for those tiny areas that need the glue. the narrow tip lets just a tiny drop, that is all that is needed to secure my jewelry pieces. also has a pin that goes in the tip to keep the glue from drying and clogging the tip.

I needed to fix a Lenox China piece. A small piece broke off a Santa figurine. It was a clean break. I tried to glue it back on with the Crazy glue. It did not work and I returned it.

I always end up with solid crazy glue because I don’t ever finish the regular size tube before it dries up and becomes solid. So I thought this was the perfect solution to repair a pair of heels and it was.

Until I needed more glue than the 4 little tubes had. So I guess I didn’t measure how much glue I would need but I still wouldn’t have needed a whole regular sized tube. I wish there was more variety in sizes like this to have the perfect middle ground of amount of product.

But the glue itself works as expected!.

often once you open a large bottle its only a matter of time before its no longer any good, this type of package makes it last because you always have a fresh supply. The individual bottles are good for a few days but the sealed ones are always redt!.

Are used this product on my bath tub. At 1st it was just clear looking stuff coming out of the tube and I thought I would have to throw it a way. After I squeezed O of the clear stuff out is when the thick white enamel stuff started coming out of the tube.

After I put it on the chipped spot on my tub. I went to Walmart and bought a 400/600 wet grid sponge from the auto mechanic section. I put the White porcelain repair kit on my tub and the next day I wet sanded it with the 400/600 wet grid sponge and it came out perfect.

The sanding sponge is the key.

works great repairing some chips in my bath tub, does take a couple coats, as it is rather thin. This is repair chip paint, NOT GLUE. You use this just for chip filler repair not to glue items together.

It is pure white so it works seamless in color with my porcelain tube.

We had two sinks with hairline (and a couple chips) cracks. One leaked and the other did not. Applied the product to the leaking sink as directed. Leaked stopped! Works as described. Easy, breezy. A $7 solution that saved a couple thousand $ (sink removal and replacement).

Longevity of the seal is unknown. A high probability that a reapplication would work, too.

I absolutely LOVE this product!! It is by far one of the best out there on the market today. and I have used it to literally glue almost anything back together or to anything else. I can not think of one instance where this glue did not work.

I highly recommend it!! It doesn’t dry 100% clear, but mostly so. Doesn’t take much!! As long as you keep it pretty thin, it stays clear.

Have never found a glue as good as this. I used it to glue the rubber on bottom of my cowboy boots, it was separating from boots on both feet between toe & heel. It’s been a month now & still holding strong! Even walking through cow doo everyday & even wet rainy conditions! Absolutely will be buying more & recommend to everyone I know!.

Super Glue makes great products and this porcelain repair is no exception. Easy to use and not messy at all. So happy to find this product at Office Depot.

It is essentially super glue that is white. It does kind of bond the surface like super glue. rubbery but it won’t hold up under any real world applications. Tried it twice and it looks ok. until the lions head falls off.

sloppy,hard to work with and it says set in 10 mins. but may need up to a day. If this glue even holds (Il find out in a day). I will still have to scrub off the mess which will in turn pop off the head.

Too much is still not enough. messey.

Very good quality, perfect for small chips but my crack was really nasty and sealed well, hope it will stay on for a long time. you can do multiple layers as needed with drying in-between, dried in 10 minutes on surfaces and with layers you can do overnight for a better sealing.

I bought it, but ended up using another similar product that I already had. I guess it would have worked, just liked the consistency of the other one better

So far looks like it is a good product. If it goes into yellowing effect of the glue over time – it is to early to say. It is only a few days since I used it. I hope it will keep-up what promised.

This glue worked like a charm! I accidentally broke a ceramic plant pot I didn’t want to part with and decided to try this glue. Glued my pot back together and, other than the cracks, it looks brand new! Additionally, water does not leak out.

This crazy glue works. My steel pot handle was falling off of my pot. It was becoming too inconvenient so i needed to glue it. I put a couple dabs of this glue, held it in place for about a minute and it’s good as new.

Two weeks later and still no problems.

This was to glue a piece to a cat dish back on. Though the area does not touch food – I still wanted FDA glue. The piece was an ear to the top of the dish. The first time I followed instructions and waited several days for it to cure.

But after a day the piece fell off. I have since tried it again. So far it is working. I don’t know what is different. I don’t really “Trust” the repair yet – but watching to see what happens. One time I machine washed the dish.

But otherwise hand wash.

This glue worked great for ceramic; I broke a favorite (and expensive) handmade mug and this product not only fixed it easily but it has endured many dishwasher rides since. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because it didn’t work on porcelain at all; my wife’s favorite mug did not enjoy the renaissance that mine did.

I think this glue worked ok. It took longer to set than it says and I’m not convinced it’s dishwasher safe but we’ll see. I will test it again when we have a string of days with low humidity.

I use this and the Ultra Control Gel both to help extend the life of my expensive Brooks Beast sneakers needed to protect my feet on a concrete surface at work. The gel I use where more flexibility of the repair and control of application is needed, and the liquid to get into cracks.

They have been outstanding in performance, very easy to apply, and the tubes haven’t dried out. I’ve used the gel to fix two of my fellow workers’ eyeglass frames, and to fix a cracked gas plastic lawnmower cover to excellent effect.

The lawnmower went through the entire last year mowing season and held, even though there was very little surface area to stick the two sides back together, and that under significant strain. The working time was ideal to get everything applied, and the set time ideal so I could let go holding of the two plastic sides together after a few minutes when my hands started to severely cramp.

Amazingly it held. So I’ve been a big fan of Loctite Ultra Control Super Glues since. The liquid I’ve started using recently where a liguid vs a gel gets into more inaccessible areas.

Ugh. I ordered “gel ” Super Glue so that it didn’t run madly out of the tube. Why oh why, oh why did you substitute liquid which immediately runs all over creation the minute you open the tube. You could have ordered gel in a different size or different brand.

At least then I wouldn’t have to deal with the impossible flood of super glue. ou how dumb.

I got this Ultra Liquick Control 4g Super Glue a few weeks ago, and was really impressed with how well it works. I had a few broken items and tested the glue out on them, one of them was a broken peg on a rack I hold keys on, and it worked great.

The peg hasn’t fallen off at all and I can actually find my keys now, because they’re hanging right there. There is a small hole at the tip of the bottle for very precise application, and no brushes that you have to dip and wipe the excess off.

I’d say the only thing to watch for is don’t push too much on the bottle, or you’ll out more glue than you need. Just a few drops will do! We’re keeping this right under the sink for easy repair of those things our cats seem to knock off the shelves! When this bottle is used, I’ll definitely get another.

when this glue was first used by us we failed to read the instructions. why? well glue is glue!! WRONG! this Gorilla glue works by a dab a water! if you dont mix the glue with a dab a water the chemical reaction wont kick in.

its amazing how they figured a way for a glue to turn into the best glue ever by using real science! soon they came out with different tyoes, colors, super, thick or thin texture. we have a small business and we even use the thicker, brown color to seal cracks in some of the stones we saved! you cant tell it had a crack!! So read the Instructions.

and make sure that you do this. 1/ it is very, very sticky so handle with care. 2/ use small amounts, a little goes a long way, you can always add more if need be. 3/ the glue expands as it drys, this is the part you can scrap off after it is dried.

use a razor blade, soon you will get the hang of it and know how much glue to use in the future. we like to see it expand since we are sure it gets into all of the cracks. 4/ keep away from the KIDS! they get excited when it grows at it dries, than they touch it and than touch other objects.

it can be removed with alcohol or Goo be Gone or Nail polish. 5/ We havent found One thing it wont work on! So try it on anything that you saved that was broken. you might be able to fix it! 6/ MOST IMPORTANT, AFTER YOU ARE DONE, CLEAN OFF THE BOTTLES TOP AND CAP! IF YOU DONT AND PUT THE CAP BACK ON IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO UN SCREW THE THE TOP FOR FUTURE USE.

RESIDUE MuSt Be cleaned off!! IN FACT IF YOU DONT CLEAN IT WELL AND SCREW THE TOP BACK ON TIGHTLY THE ENTIRE BOTTLE CAN TURN INTO A SOLID MASS OF HARD CEMENT! if that does happen you might want to boil some water and toss the bottle in the hot water.

Remove pot from stove. keep away from flame. than let the hot water should soften the glue up, let sit for 30 to 60 mins. than clean the top of bottle and screw to well.

This product is consistently durable and strong. We use it to create sample boards for architectural products. Bonds all materials listed on packaging and more! I always feel confident that the bond will last long.

Krazy Glue is my go-to – it bonds just about anything together. I use it all the time – my household seems to have things breaking, leather rips, and various other things that this glue does an amazing job fixing.

The brush applicator is a great improvement on the container design – I always struggled with spreading the glue just right, and inevitably, it would get on my fingers and an area outside of my aim. This applicator provides for ability to get it into hard-to-reach places and the brisltes don’t stick together! I also appreciate the Skin Guard formula that keeps the glur from bonding to my fingers.

IT DOES WORK IN MOST CASES, HOWEVER THE BRUSH LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED. THE BRISTLES ARE OF POOR QUALITY AND SPIKE OUT MAKING IT HARD TO USE IT. THE BRUSH IS THE REASON I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT AND IT NEEDS TO GO BACK TO THE DRAWING TABLE.

THE GLUE IS FINE, BUT IF THE BRUSH GETS STUCK IN THE BOTTLE, IF THE BRISTLES FLARE OUT AND YOU CANNOT APPLY THE GLUE, AND IF THE CAP SEPARATES FROM THE BRUSH— THEN THE GLUE IS USELESS. REDESIGN THE BRUSH AND MAKE IT MORE POINTED AND CHANGE THE TYPE OF BRISTLES,– THEN, IT WOULD BE A GREAT PRODUCT.

I seldom write product reviews, yet in the years I have used Krazy glue products – pretty much since they were invented because I am *’cough’* mature – this may be the first and only time that absolutely no glue went anywhere it was not supposed to.

No fingers, no counter, no towel placed for the inevitable need for protection. Nowhere but the poor decor item which tumbled down the stairs while being put away for the season. The brush is small yet adequate.

It places the glue precisely, and I had some sensation that the glue itself was a tiny bit thinner in quality, yet still did the job entirely efficiently. I shall like use only this permutation of ‘super glue’ going forward.
