20 Best Glue For Stone (2022 Updated)

I purchased 20 of these to help repair my porch posts and spindles. Although described as five minute set time I found it seemed workable for about 10 minutes and then started getting solid quite quickly after that.

I found the easiest way to work with it was to use a paper coffee cup and cut it down to about two inches high. Then I’d empty 50% to 100% into the cup and mix it thoroughly with a popsicle stick. Then I’d bend the cup so it had a pouring spout; and used the popsicle stick to guide the glue into the mold I created with masking or duct tape? I let it harden over night then sanded it with a grinder as it’s extremely hard.

If given the choice to pay extra for Locltitie over the Ace and Devcon brands, do it. For some totally ridiculous reason, now all Devcon and Ace duel-plunger glues come with caps that don’t even pretend to stay on, when you try and save the glue you didn’t use when you first opened it.

How Ace can sell their glues in these containers is something they need to explain. Until they do, stick with Locktite, which continues to use the sort of snap-on caps that Ace products used to use.

This is EXTREMELY thick. I have mild tendonitis, and couldn’t squeeze this out. I asked my husband, same problem. Not just us or a bad batch. It didn’t work for the few mosaic tiles I managed to use.

I actually had to return it — do not bother getting this stuff. Will stick with Beacon 527, E6000, hot glue.

The glue itself is high quality, but the bottles are less than user friendly. I ordered 20 and 10 of them came cracked. I did not have time to return. When the bottles are working, they only squirt from the nozzle for a short time before they clog up and do not function.

Most of the time we have to take off the lid and use a brush to dip glue out of the bottle.

After 40+ years of doing many different types of simple DIY jobs around the home (and using Lepage PL construction adhesive), this product by far surpasses it. Gorilla glue holds & binds to every known (dry) construction material surface: lumber, natural wood, pressure treated lumber, MDF, wood composites, cement, brick, steel, aluminum, styrofoam, resin plastics, rubber, ceramic tile).

Dries fast, no smell, and NO toxic off gasing, so you can easily use this product inside any home where fumes from petroleum based solvents are an health issue. Easily washes off your hands with soap & water.

I now only buy my glues from the entire Gorilla product line. After years of using other products, that either failed to hold, or took too long to dry, and really smelled bad (if you are sensitive to construction product smells).

It’s well worth the price for peace of mind in any application where you might not be so sure if your mixed-type of material surfaces will bond correctly or securely by using another product (i. e. in bonding different types of materials together).

Great for exterior projects as well as interior applications.

You know how you say “oh I’ll do it tomorrow “. well tomorrow takes a few days to come around and finally the tomorrow rolls around months later. Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive saved my gutters that started to separate and held on perfectly.

I also has some cracks in the sunroom what I needed to fix by replacing some metal and wood. I cracked up because I didn’t need to use much effort or man power at all, I a woman did it, I was ecstatic that it was so effortless yet well repaired.

It rained and stormed and heavy winds, you could call it tornado weather in the South. My gutters ere still affixed and no leaks in my sun room. What a great quick fixer upper Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive has become in my house.

This might be hard to explain. I recently bought this item cut the tip off inserted into my caulking gun would not come out inserted a nail into the nozzle thinking it had a cover still nothing. felt down the container it was soft.

Had to use a hacksaw about an inch down from the top as it was harden somehow like a puck. So then I had to use a piece of wood to push out to adhesive and a putty knife to spread it. Lucky I needed all the adhesive for the job.

I do not know if this item sits to long on the shelf it would harden since this is not a cheep item. The adhesive still did the job but the application did not work as intended.

Two failures at first. First effort glued well, but the dishwasher (too soon?) ruined my effort. Second effort failed because I didn’t clean the surface from left over glue from failed first attempt.

Third time worked well. I probably won’t chance dishwasher. Too much effort! It is evidently a sensitive substance. In all three attempts I used the substance generously, ignoring the suggested amount per square inch.

I think this rule of thumb is not helpful. My surface, a broken glass foot was very narrow and not long. But I decided to at least touch the entire surface with the glue.

Loctite has always been my go to for adhesives. so when I had to glue a glass post to brass, I knew it was not going to be easy to find anything that would work. WRONG! After cleaning both pieces (brass with sandpaper, and glass with alcohol) I put one drop of Loctite Glass Glue on the brass, and pressed the glass on it for 60 seconds.

Then I let it cure for 24 hours. Perfect repair, solid as a rock!.

I’ve had mixed results with Loctite products in the past. It seems as though they require an exacting procedure and a certain type of break in order to work correctly. This “glass-repair” variation, though, worked quite well to repair a difficult break — a delicate extrusion on a glass sculpture.

After a week — and another blow to the repaired area that I feared might have caused the repair to fail — it’s held up pretty well. So I was pretty happy with the results.

This stuff really works. Do not get it on your fingers. Very sticky, dries white. Once it dries on your project, it will most definitely glue the parts together. Highly recommend.

So I used it twice before it dried up and I was unable to use it anymore. So only buy it if you might actually need to use up most of it, otherwise you’re just wasting money. I was so disappointed that I didn’t even use up 1/4 of it but it does work well though, hence the 3 stars.

Gorilla Glue works great on almost anything within reason. I like to keep it on hand for minor repairs. I do wish someone could tell me how to keep it from turning into a solid before I get around to using it all.

Fine powder, grey in color, a little goes a long way. I used a tea spoon to scoop the powder into a plastics cup and used a plastic spoon to mix. 2 tea spoons with a little water, mix for a water constancy like soup, used the spoon to pour between the rocks, as it hardens used my finger to squeeze in joints hardens kind quickly so mostly did one joint at a time held in place for a couple mins and it does an amazing job holding the rocks together! My main display I used rods and put this on the base to set it in place! It’s a MUST have for aquascape idk how you could do it with out! Highly satisfied! Worth the 20$ just so your rocks don’t fall after you spent all that money on the coral no brainer! Hope it helped.

The product did what I wanted it to do, enough said really. I have used various methods of sticking rocks together but none of then really gave me confidence and I was always tentative with handling the resultant structures.

But, with this stuff I believe I the original rock would break before the bond would give way. No cons really, would be nicer if it was slightly lighter colour but this is just my ocd coming through.

Think it would be good for aussie corals with no base but , if the coral died or something you would have a hard time breaking it off your reef base.

Used this on my dry rock and it Works well once you have worked out the best consistency for your application.Once dried the Stone Fix holds the rocks well.

I hope this is the world’s worst epoxy, anything else would be unimaginable. I’ve used 2-part 5 minute expoys since about 1974 or 75, starting w/ places that have hot fuel exposure, and engine vibration on things that fly, where the hold is critical.

Never had a problem. I’ve used a couple of different brands, the original Devcon w/b preferred, but the Ace brand is also extremely good, sets as expected, hold is strong on a variety of materials. Some time ago I tried Gorilla glue and had trouble, it didn’t set after hours on a plastic air intake and was almost sucked into the engine.

I called tech support and was told I was using it wrong, and it didn’t work on certain plastics. Since I mix epoxies on a plastic lid and often peel it off afterwords, I sorta know intuitively which plastics and the intake I didn’t think was but I went with their advice: I’d used it wrong.

Then after peeling what was left of the Gorilla stuff off – and it was still soft over 24 hrs later, I mixed up Ace’s 5-minute epoxy and in no time it was hard adhered and I’d sealed the intake, that was a year or so ago, it’s still there; under the hood of a car to be clear.

So maybe I HADN’T USED IT WRONG < oops, inadvertant caps lock, ha! Apropo, I'm leaving it. Not an isolated incident. Everything I used this product on has had problems, first I'm told mine's expired (2014 product code), okay I got a new pack - same problems (the Ace brand I just used today, Copywrite 2005, worked perfectly) I'm told I'm mixing it wrong, good deal, and good thing I didn't mix it wrong 45 years ago on the airplanes! And everything else since; I've been mixing and using all kinds of two part types of glue during those 45 years without a problem, so what's special about this? Apparently you "have to" mix it in the little tray on the package AND you mustn't let it spread out when you mix.

Okay then, I tried those precautions. Except neither of those remedies worked. 3 hrs later, still not set.

just fine, and as expected, once you get a normal mixture down. However, the plunger is much more flexible than other manufacturer’s product, so it is far too easy to end up with a batch that can take overnight to harden.

I’m talking real rubbery and gooey. Moreover, do not store with the plunger side down, unlike other manufacturer’s product the epoxy does leak slowy out of this end. It is for this fact that I rated this product so low.

Also the oneway tab on the cap needs to be more prominent.

I would give this zero stars if I could. This claims to bond a variety of materials, with the fine print being not as effective on some plastics. I bought it to use on a decor craft project, only reading this detail after I finished so when it came apart I chalked it up to that because I followed the directions closely.

Next I used it to bond metal to glass for another decor project and had a similar result. Note, these are not “high traffic” items, mainly just sitting there so I can’t imagine it being useful for any type of repair on an item that gets regular use.

Simply worthless, actually worse than that because I have wasted my time. To top it all off, it was messy and a hassle to apply alongside having terrible fumes. For nothing!.

I used this adhesive to secure the paver stones on a fire pit. It’s basically the same concept as a landscape/retaining wall. It’s designed for outdoor use (won’t dissolve in water), so it’s better than Liquid Nails or other construction adhesives.

Used adhesive only on top two courses, a few dabs on each brick was enough to keep the bricks from wiggling around. It’s a good idea to check the level of each brick as you go and lay them all in place first, THEN go back and glue them.

I’ve had no problems with it during the high temperatures of having a fire in the fire pit. Great product! I have used this product on multiple projects and it is easy to apply, holds like mortar and lasts.

I made sure to sweep off the surface before applying, but didn’t need to do any more than that to have it adhere. I used it for adhering the top retaining block, and definitely recommend it. Exceptionally Great product that I have well used over the past 20 years.

I built some stairs adjacent to my driveway using concrete pavers that we stacked and glued together in 1997. This year I am replacing the old pavers with much larger precast wall toppers. In removing the old pavers many of the pavers are still well adhered to each other such that I have to hammer a pry bar between the pavers to separate them.

In some cases it actually gouged the concrete pavers that it was adhered to. I consider that great adhesion especially considering we live in northern Utah with our cold and wet winters and several were in the ground.

This is the only product I will buy when I need to glue pavers together and is a great buy in the larger tube size. To save the remaining adhesive in the tube invert the tip you cut off and push it into the end of the nozzle.

It will seal the end of the nozzle and prevent the adhesive from drying out and the temp cap will come out very easily and can be reused till the end of the tube. And it makes the project look great.

It is an adhesive for the exterior and is heavy duty to help with your landscaping needs like it did us. I love how it can be used under variety of moisture and temperatures unlike other ones that don’t last long.

I highly recommend this adhesive for anybody wanting to do some landscaping around their house. This has been the best one we have used.

Loctite 9 fl. oz. PL Premium MAX Construction Adhesive I’ve done a fair amount of renovations and typically glue and screw everything. This product is amazing and far exceeded what I thought it could do.

It grabs quickly but needs to be supported or fastened while it cures. It is a really good product and I will continue to use it. The product is 100% solids so I laid three 2” long test lines and let it cure.

The grey adhesive comes out like a paste, slightly grainy. The next day, I didn’t notice any shrinking. The lines were firm enough to resist fingernail pressure and felt like plastic. I took some scrap lumber to test its durability.

I laminated a 1”x3” to a 2”x3” with a lap of 3”, clamped it for 24 hours and let it cure. I was unsuccessful in breaking the bond by pulling it against my knee. I supported the ends and stood on the seam.

I had about half my weight on the beam it when the wood failed. The adhesive was still bonding both surfaces of the lumber used. In 2018, I was at tradeshow where the manufacturer attached hooks to a thick laminated block of various materials (wood, metal, glass, etc.

) and suspended a pallet of cinder blocks from it. It was a really cool demonstration.

I used the PL Premium Max Construction Adhesive about 3 months ago to fix an item that could no longer be fixed by mechanical means. It is used on an almost daily basis by a teenager who “doesn’t care.

” The adhesive has held up better than the substrate which has since been demolished. It was pulled and pushed all the time. Once the item became destroyed I tried to break the seam of adhesive to no avail.

I then took an Olfa knife with construction blade to it and tried to cut it. Broke the blade. I would certainly attach my hard hat to a steel beam and trust my life with it.

Due to Wx and time constraints, I could not use the adheasive on my barn stair treads as plannned. So I used it on several indoor repairs. One item was constructed with MDF, which can be dificult to repair.

The PLMax worked perfectly. It applies easily and can be tooled well. It does takes time to cure so must held secure until set. I am pleased with the end strength and ability to sand and paint after curing.

I will update my review once the Wx improves and I can test it on my more appropriate barn construction project.

I have tried several construction adhesives for my fountain-installation project, but nothing out performs Titebond Landscape Adhesive. Quick repair and fast drying make my projects easier to finish while having water tight seal.

I don’t have to use silicone in joints anymore. The bricks become one solid piece with this product. Easy to spread and easy to work with. Highly recommend this product to anybody wanting long lasting results.

I got this Titebond PROvantage landscape adhesive just in time for a fix I had to make. This adhesive is truly so helpful and rite now in my area it’s Hot! Her index over 100 and this adhesive still did wonders.

It was so easy to use let alone very easy to set. I have fixed multiple things around my home and it’s done a fantastic job. It’s got one of the strongest holds I have ever worked with and I plan to keep using this kind.

I am so grateful how this works in all kinds of weather.

Bought a larger bottle as the last smaller bottle ran out after a fair bit of use. Good strong glue, clear finish means “invisible repairs” when required, a handy glue to have around. Used mine to repair 4 chairs in the front room that the tongue and groove joints had come loose and had become a bit dangerous, left overnight with some weights to compress the joints etc and the chairs are fine now, the other good thing is that it doesn’t leave unsightly residues behind after it sets, doesn’t run much when first applied with enough “wriggle room” to reset things as the glue sets.

Hasn’t really been tested yet. Tried gluing soles on shoes but couldn’t maintain pressure as required (two hours according to the instructions). Large planters have been repaired but not tested for strength yet so too early to say if successful.

Superb glue! I’ve used it to repair some Country Artists item’s that were delivered damaged. This glue has fixed the pieces back together amazingly well & only by looking very closely can you see where the repairs have been done! Once i touch up the joins with some Sharpie coloured permanent marker pen’s nobody will ever know the item’s had been broken! I would recommend that you wear disposable gloves as protection & do the repair in a well ventilated area.

This is the best glue i’ve ever used, it has excellent adhesion, it’s super strong & it dried clear.

The first time I tried this glue was to put together two metal pieces for a necklace I was making. I needed something that would not get brittle and break apart over time as it happens with Krazy Glue I dont really like for anything anyway.

I was amazed as how cleanly the pieces stuck, it gave me time to reposition and clean the extra glue mess and the best part is that it dries up clear. From that day on, I have used it to fix anything and everything from the handle of my drying machine that got loose, to a wood trim in my kitchen cabinets that fell of, to my shoes, porcelain and ceramic figures, Etc.

I highly recommend this product. Every household should have one in their basic repair kit.

Priced great. I’ve used this around our house and a house I am remodeling. It sticks and stick really well. Just make sure both pieces are clean. I definitely recommend it for small projects that won’t be under to much stress.

This glue has many practical applications and can be applied to almost any clean surface. Works very well with wood and is unnoticeable at a glance. If youre careful it goes completely unseen. It has become more difficult to find in stores, but eBay never fails.

Cons: its relatively exactly expensive. You get your moneys worth though.

This product is awesome when it come to fix hole and rips on rubber shoe soles like Vans sneakers. I do skateboard and doing tricks make the sneakers get shredded. I tried Shoe Goo which didn’t even stick well and come right off.

I tried Liquid Nails PG-00 next and it was great. Sticks very well and it really fused into like a part of the missing rubber part. Ever since that, I always use this product to repair my sneakers.

don’t buy this. It does not, not in any way set up in five minutes. I bought this because of the claimed set time. I was trying to glue wood to wood. I was prepared to hold the pieces together for five minutes waiting for glue to set and then be able to leave it alone.

No such luck I held it for a good 30 minutes and it still wasn’t set. This is not a good product at all.

I used this to repair my side view mirror on my car – the back painted part had cracked and fell off – would have cost $200+ to get a new one! I was able to repair it and it is hardly even noticeable! There is little to NO smell – easy to work with – clear – works fast – fantastic product I am going to try it on a small wooden bench next! I highly recommend this product!.

I own an convertible BMW , old one , the roof to replace is over 1000. By using this it stuck Rubber , cloth and Glass. The window is water tight and seems to be very suitable for my needs. At the price I think it is very good.

It also stuck a kitchen glass front to the hinge. I have confidence using it. Keep a cool mind when using it and follow instructions, to remove from surfaces use white spirit. Also before to clean sprits.

I have used other similar well known brands and thought I’d try this at a slight extra cost. However, it is head and shoulders the best. This has the strength and doesn’t shrink like other adhesives, especially outdoors.

It’s easy to use and has a good flow. Highly recommend this over others.

Purchased because spray recommended in store for vinal tiles was rubbish. Tiles kept sliding off the wall. This dose exactly what it says and could have saved myself 30 quid of wasted money. Highly recommende this item.
