20 Best Glue For Vinyl (2022 Updated)

I bought this to glue together 2 tarps from Home Depot. I applied the glue as instructed, but the glue did not hold under any pressure. Nothing like the glue used to manufacture the tarp. The tarps are not labeled with what they are made of, so it is entirely possible they are not vinyl at all.

And this product is not suitable for gluing these tarp together. My point is that I tried it on both the blue and grey tarps that are commonly available, and it did not work. Maybe there is a tarp out there made out of vinyl that this stuff works on, but I never found it.

I would have to rate this product a 10 on a scale that 10 is outstanding product. It’s nice that you are able to apply the adhesive with the brush exactly where you need ,something you can’t do with spray adhesive.

I contracted Pulmonary Fibrosis from molds in the metal working oils that we used to protect the tooling on the job.

I have an in ground vinyl liner pool. At this point there are 6 holes in the liner and 2 of those are larger and in the corners where the bottom curves and meets the wall. I have used several adhesives over the years with the patch material being the leftover vinyl from the installation.

The adhesives last from 8 to 12 months or so and then the bond breaks down and the patches have to be redone. This happens because the adhesives are a glue rather than a solvent. HH-66 appears to be a solvent which actually makes the patch become part of the liner and has an extremely strong bond similar to using pvc pipe cement for pvc pipe connections.

Since I am a new user of this product I will need to see how long it lasts. I did a test using 2 pieces of pool liner vinyl and let it set for 24 hours. The bond was incredible and I couldn’t pull it apart no matter how hard I tried.

This obviously is a very encouraging sign. Since the blue imprint on the bottom of my pool has faded to white over the years I use the patches upside down so the white side faces up and matches the pool bottom.

When I applied the HH-66 to the blue side it dissolved the imprint which told me that this product is solvent based.

Product is as advertised, and is strongest adhesive I’ve found, esp for dissimilar materials like canvas and naugahyde to sheet metal. I would like to know if there is a recommended application for larger areas where a brush is too small.

And definitely follow precautions with gloves, protective clothing, shields for the eyes, and especially for ventilation. Working outdoors still did not disburse fumes adequately and I suggest very strong fans to take ALL fumes away, lest one becomes used to the fumes after working with it for a while.

I’ve used HH-66 extensively for patching rafts as well as creating custom inflatables. Glue sets quickly and I’ve never had a patch leak using this glue.

Worked great! Used the HH-66 Vinyl Cement to patch an Inflatable Stand-Up Paddle (ISUP) Board. I also applied some to a D-ring attaching point that was pulling away from the ISUP and it also worked as advertised.

Used it to glue a clear piece of marine vinyl to replace the old plastic rear window on my early 90’s Mazda Miata. Worked perfect! Solid seal. No more leaks and a clear window.

HH-66 works fabulous on D-ring patches in my composite canoe.

Its thin and messy. I wish it would have been thicker. It ran and would stick

I make vinyl mailboxes and use this product to assemble them. Works great.

I purchased this to glue in a clear vinyl window for a convertible top. The product works well but you have to move quickly if the temps are 70 degrees F or higher. I like to apply the adhesive to both surfaces.

The brush leaves a little bit to be desired and depending on your application, you may want to get a throw-away brush from a craft store. Pour out the adhesive into another container and use that, reseal the original container quickly so it’s not exposed to air for too long otherwise it’s starts to set up.

Used to patch some holes in my inground liner. Worked great underwater and found it much easier to use and much better adhesion than the HC-66 product. Applied to spare vinyl liner I had, folded in half and went under to apply.

It gives you about 30 seconds to move around and adjust location and then starts adhering. Checked after 24 hours and patches adhered perfectly with no loose edges.

We have had the same pool for 40yrs. We have never had a patch kit as good as this adhesive an the Tiki Island patch vynal. Does not roll on you. Sticks immediately and does not have to be held in place for even a short time.

I highly recommend this product.

I got a new rubber/foam hood liner for underneath the hood of my car and the mfg of the liner recommended using this adhesive to install it. I followed the instructions and it seemed to work great. After 15 minutes, the liner seemed to be adhered perfectly.

2 weeks later, the liner fell off. I don’t know what to do now.

This was the only stuff that worked gluing these two together.

Great! I bought this to use on my kids indoor bounce house as the cats nails had put little holes in its. I tried the provided patches but they just wouldnt stick. I found this and decided to give it a try and it worked! It’s as good as new and will last me alot longer than the little sticker patches the company provided!.

Too flexible, so much so that it didn’t actually glue anything together. The “glue” became a sticky, stringy goop between the two surfaces, that later had to be removed. This glue is a waste of time, instead use school glue for paper, hot glue for fabrics, wood glue for wood and super glue for everything else.

I bought a house with an old Andersen sliding door and windows. I found the parts I needed for the slider and they were a perfect fit. Now I need parts for the windows and I’m about to place that order.

Do not purchase – buy anything else. You well get better bonding from elmers glue, or even an elementary school gluestick. The strength of the adhesive is laughable, and on the bottle it says cure in 10-45 seconds which is totally inaccurate.

At best it STARTS to cure in 10-45 minutes, but will still be gummy and without structure for two or more hours. I bought it thinking it would be of similar quality to regular gorilla glue used in woodworking – but their superglue must have been designed by someone’s toddler.

So, Gorilla Glue. I knew this would be strong as the name carries weight. What I didnt know, however, was quite how strong it was. I originally bought this to fix my shoes, the sole had come away from one of them.

Little did I realise that later on, hilarity would ensue. Left out in the open, my housemates took it upon themselves to dispose of an old pan by gluing it to a door. We knew itd hold well but this pan DOES NOT BUDGE.

It is fixed there, like a singular point in time. Unmoving. Eternal. Gorilla Glue is fantastic. Everyone should buy some just to have it around.

I found this more difficult to apply cleanly with even finish than regular caulk, but I am 79 and it’s at least 25 years since I did any caulking, so who knows. I re did my kitchen sink which had gotten gamey looking after years.

This is supposed to me Mold&Mildew resistant. Too soon to know. maybe I’ll post later, remember I am 79.

Worked perfect! No gun necessary. Went on easy and got some in my hands but came off easy with just water. Did not peel either. Solid product!

Great quality product! Have bought this before, pleased with the results!

1. What does the product do well? This is the perfect super glue and can be used in everything, I’ve actually just used it on a pair of sunglasses that I had actually cracked a few weeks ago and now they are back to looking brand new again.

It has plenty in the bottle and will last a lot longer than you would think. And very strong compared to what I’ve used in the past. 2. What is your favorite feature ? I will have to start with saying my favorite feature is that it actually gets the job done when you do it the first time and it doesn’t leave your hands glued together.

3. Does the product meet your quality expectations ? The Loctite Super Glue most definitely meets my expectations because it can be used on a number of times and you still get the same outcome from doing so.

4. Is there anything you would like to see improved? Personally to me I don’t think that there is anything that needs to be improved at all since I will say I’ve been impressed since I started to use it.

5. Would you recommend this product to a family or friend? Yes I would recommend the Loctite Super Glue, because I feel if a product is this good than one then more people need to be fully informed about it.

6. Overall what are your impressions of the product. Overall my impressions are very good and I will continue to make this my go to brand, if you want the job done correctly and the first time than you should really buy only loctite super glue.

Been using it for years. I’m an artist and use it for all types of things. I’ve bought all different types and brands over the years. This is the only one that doesn’t dry up and I end up tossing out most of the bottle.

My rice cooker for 10 years had one very important plastic piece break off to help keep the lid closed. I was devastated. I applied this onto the piece unsure if it will work with all the heat and moisture.

I let it sit for 8 hours undisturbed (planning for 24 hours) and my husband accidentally used the rice cooker. It held up fine! So far so good. I’ve cooked rice several times now.

I tried this on a plastic washing basket and on a handle. Tried 3 times and even clamped the jobs on my third attempt It stuck well to my fingers but didnt even look like sticking to anything else. I rated 1 because there is no zero.

Both exactly what I needed. Mesh was invaluable for out west where flies were dense.

I’ve had success with Flex Tape products in the past, but hadn’t tried their glue formula until recently. What took me so long? There’s so much to love. Application is easy, using a caulk applicator.

I was impressed with the viscosity of this glue. It stays put, and doesn’t drip or run. It helped me repair one of the original windows to my home, dating back to 1950, which had a broken glass pane.

I was able to set it in place in the garage (always be aware of off-gassing in adhesive products and use in a well-ventilated area), and within a few minutes, it was firmly in place. It’s recommended to work quickly, as it won’t move much, if at all, 10 minutes after application.

Still, I let it sit for a week to fully cure, and installed it into the home. It’s crystal-clear and doesn’t impede my view. I have peace of mind knowing it will not budge in the ice-cold Upstate winters, where we get the occasional -20°F wind chill a few times a season, as it is rated for temperatures as low as -40°F.

All in all, it’s a phenomenal product. I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a permanent bond in their projects and doesn’t want unsightly visible glue marring appearances.

This is a good product for miscellaneous construction projects or repair jobs. I used this in a few applications and while it works very well compared to others on the market there are some that are better depending on what you are using this for.

while the info commercial shows the instant gripping a brick to another brick that is not entirely accurate. They use excessive amounts and also don’t hold it up for very long. The instructions clearly state you need to apply pressure for about 30 seconds.

It will hold decent if you hold for 30 seconds or longer or in some cases temporary bracing. I used this to glue wood to the wall for making shelves and if you do not hold for 30 plus seconds it will sag of fall off.

I also used outside to fix a veneer stone that was falling off outdoors and it works very well. Overall its a pretty good product and fairly pleased in the application I used it for. If you base it solely of the commercial it may not live up to your full expectation but it is darn close.

It takes very long to even start being sticky. Count at least 2-3 hours so you need to hold the two parts together somehow. I suggest applying the glue on both parts, wait 2-3 hours until it becomes sticky, then put the two parts together.

Good points : it doesn’t smell. On the bottle it says it will stain your skin and also will increase in volume 2-3 times as it dries up. Bottle also suggests humidifying the surfaces, water activates this glue.

Wipe off the tip of the bottle before putting the cap back, otherwise glue will harden inside the cap and next time you won’t be able to fit back the cap and the bottle will harden inside. Strength rating : 6/10 where 10/10 is for cyanoacrylate glue.

So be prepared… once set this stuff has an incredible bond. I used it on my kitchen chairs. The spindles on the chairs were loose and I used just a small amount in the crevice because this stuff expands.

I have to say they are still holding and not spinning. I also used it to fix the corner of my home which is a cement material. The corner cracked and fell off and I’m grateful I saved the piece. I sprayed it with water and applied the glue and that too is still in place.

This glue is waterproof and can be used on many surfaces. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I used this glue one time. It did do the job, but. Once dried, the glue tripled in size. The small line of glue was no more. A yellow thick glass like coat covered my surface. Then after about three weeks.

After storing the glue properly. I went to use it again. And. It was hard as a brick!!! Could no longer use it!! So if you want to use this glue ONE time this is for you!!.

Whether in the kitchen or in the bathroom, my wife was growing tired of white caulk. Then she tried BLACK caulk. She thinks it is the greatest!!!

I followed the manufacturer instructions, but the product did not adhere two pieces of vinyl siding as expected. I would not recommend this product.

Bought this to deal back splash on my kitchen counter and so far very pleased with its results!
