20 Best Glycolic Acid Mask (2022 Updated)

I used this product only a couple times, so far. I applied it, waited some minutes then rinsed it off in the shower. It had a short-term, mild stinging sensation, from the acids in the mask. It also had a very soothing sensation at the same time.

It had a mild scent, felt like putting thinned out pumpkin puree on your face. It doesn’t have a tightening effect like clay masks, it’s very mild. What I noticed right away, after getting out of the shower, was the immediate difference in texture of my skin.

My face felt softer and maybe slightly more plump, if that makes sense. That soft feeling lasts for several days. I have other hyaluronic / glycolic acid products that I use a few times a week so I only use this mask 1-2 times a month, when I feel like I need a little extra pampering.

I’ve also refrained from using it during the day because it causes sensitivity to UV rays. I’ve also upped my sunscreen game, applying every time I go outside, even on gloomy days. I also keep a small bottle of sunscreen day cream in my purse to reapply if I’m outside 2 hours after applying.

After 4 months of more intensive treatment of my (41 year old) skin, washing my face twice a day, using toner, oils, and specific night and day cream (all purchased on grove), I sincerely feel like I’ve reversed most of the sun damage I had from having poor skin care for years.

I love this Exfoliating Glycolic Mask by insta natural! It is super easy to use. Apply a thin layer to dry skin and leave on for about 10-15 minutes. You will notice that even during application, it starts to give your skin a tingling sensation and that means that it is already working/exfoliating.

Next, activate the mask by adding warm water and massage in circular motions. Remove the mask with warm, damp cloth. What I loved the most about this mask is that it makes my skin look bright and vibrant after only a few uses.

My skin felt glamorous right after a single use. This mask also made my skin look soft and reduced the appearance of pores. I like that it is gentle on my skin and lightly moisturizing too. After using this mask, I noticed that it was very easy to apply a moisturizer and get it to absorb into the skin.

Love that this gets the job done on removing dead skin without the pads breaking before I am totally done applying it. I do have sensitive skin so it’s only used in certain areas and washed off shortly after to ensure that I don’t have a reaction.

I can typically see a difference when I use it versus when I don’t and it’s a mainstay during different times of the year definitely love this product for how effective it is and the choice of % used in product with the added natural skin soothing, enhancing and nourishing that I think actually soothe the skin.

I’ve only starting using these pads, and thusfar I am impressed. There is definitely a strong tingle when applying to freshly washed face. The pads are very moist (wet) so there is plenty of liquid. I use one pad for my face, neck, and all over my chest.

Then go to sleep. Because the ‘tingle’ is so strong, I’m using it every other night. I will monitor the progress and decide whether to use them more often, or less often. I am 63 years old with combination skin and when I wake up after using the pad, my skin feels smoother.

The container came fully sealed. The pads have a weird smell! The pads and ingredients are not what’s described. There’s no way this has 20% of any ingredient because it doesn’t do anything. It also leaves a somewhat sticky residue which is gross.

Any pad should leave you feeling clean and this makes me feel like I just put glue on my face. So weird!.

It is quite strong for my skin and it leaves my skin red and hot for quite a long time (about a day). I had some red spots(some were swollen) for two days and I felt some roughness on my skin on 3rd day(I would say I felt dead skin).

I used my gentle scrub on 3rd day and I was amazed how my skin felt – so soft and all the redness was gone! I would say this mask does works, but I’m afraid trying it again. I might have to applying a small amount next time.

At first, I was a little nervous to try this mask because of the words glycolic peel. I thought that it would be way to harsh for my sensitive skin. However, it is super gentle. When I removed the mask I could see that my skin was much brighter.

It also helped with some acne scarring and rough texture due to maskne. Overall made me much more confident in my skin again! I really liked this face mask! For those who are not used to acids, there will be a WOW effect. I’ve been using stronger acids for a long time, so this mask doesn’t do magic to my skin, but it’s still very good! Evens out the tone of the face, sebaceous filaments are less visible, good skin condition after.

This was sent to me in place of my usual vitamin C mask from Nip and Fab. To start with it was virtually impossible to get it out of the pack and unravel it because it was so slippery. When I eventually managed to get it onto my face the feeling was very unpleasant.

It bubbled up so much that it went into my eyes, mouth and up my nose. It felt like 100 spiders were running across my face and I lasted approximately 7 minutes before I had to remove it. Very costly substitution, although after 7 minutes my skin looked good but really it was way too unpleasant to use in my opinion.

I got this as a free sample and just paid delivery, I have used some of nip fabs other glycolic items and I really love them. This mask was a little hard to open up at first but I got there eventually, it bubbles up alot.

I left it on for 10 minutes then rubbed in the remainder and rinsed it off. My skin feels very clean and smooth and it has a really nice smell. Definitely recommend.

I received the Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Peel Mask as a #freeproduct from #tryitwithtopbox in exchange for my honest review. I have been on a journey to improve my skincare routine which included adding hyaluronic acids, retinols, vitamin c, licorice root (for redness) etc.

But I was very afraid of trying peels due to the potential of burns, increased redness, dry skin etc. I love and use Caudalie products daily so I was open to trying their gentle glycolic peel. WOW. After putting the mask on my face my skin was so silky, tight, and had significantly reduced texture that I stared at myself in the mirror for 5 straight minutes in disbelief.

And the best part, I noticed reduced redness (which is one of my skin problems). I use the peel now twice a week ONLY at night and I do not use retinols/resveratrol/tretinoin on the same night I do this mask.

The first time I used this product I did notice that my eyes burned slightly even though I did not place it near there (per instructions) so since then I have been putting vaseline underneath my eyes and that resolved the issue.

But don’t put the vaseline on your eyelids (that advice goes for all creams tbh). After rinsing my skin I make sure to follow up with more moisture than I normally would for extra hydration. I would not use this product on a day where you have been under the sun all day (like the beach or hiking) based on my amateur research.

I would highly recommend this product and will definitely continue using it!.

I was super excited to try this product. I really am a skin care junkie, anyone that sees my collection, their jaws just drop so I was so excited to try this like glycolic mask from one of my favorites skin care product companies.

It is substantially less than a lot of the other masks I use with similar ingredients but I used it twice about four days apart and the first time I woke up with a pimple and the second time I woke woke up with four pimples.

I don’t have acne prone skin and that coupled with my diligent skin care routine, I have not had a pimple in over a year. The only products I switched since getting these five pimples in four days is this mask.

I’m so sad but unfortunately this did not work out for me. I was shocked that I had a reaction to this with so many positive reviews because once again I never have problematic skin especially with my skin care routine.

I did however notice a lot of these reviews are from people who have received the product free. I myself have received free products for my honest review and I’d like to think most people really do give it an honest review but i also think many people lean a little bit more positive when you’ve been given free products.

Don’t come for me but I think I’m just spitting facts. LOL It did give a nice glow to the skin. I am contemplating whether I should return it or just use it on my neck chest and décolletage area.

I was very skeptical of this product, but it works! It says to put it on after SPF, but in my experience it’s more effective as a primer when applied before SPF. No harsh ingredients. My skin breaks out immediately if I try out a new product with any suspicious ingredients, so I was very careful in my selection.

I cannot vouch for the cleanliness of the ingredients of the other products, but this product was fine for sensitive skin. It really goes on like water and seeps into your skin immediately. A bit of stickiness for like two minutes and then it’s gone.

My make up did hold for the day, and I did notice the difference between using it and not using it, but I also do not use a lot of make up (tinted moisturizer and sunscreen, not foundation). I would not use it as a skincare product because it’s not the same as a moisturizer.

I use it solely as a primer.

Finally a mask that not only is suitable for sensitive acne prone skin but helps heal and prevent breakouts! As a person who suffers from sensitive acne prone skin, face masks are probably the hardest thing to find that does not irritate the skin or break me out significantly.

I really researched acne masks and what is best. From reviews to articles, you name it I read it. This one popped up several times so I decided to look into it as much as I could. The ingredients aren’t to bad.

Being familiar with glycolic acid, I have noticed it has helped clear and prevent acne breakouts due to its exfoliating abilities. After purchasing and using this just once, during which I had one of the worst breakouts all year, I was absolutely astounded by the results!! It did not irritate or cause one single pimple – it somehow dissolved my existing pimples and they were gone.

Sure I could still see where they once were but they were flat and healing by the next day. My skin had never felt softer, super clean and fresh and gave my skin the most radiant glow! I waited a few days to see if any irritation or pimples arose but not a single blemish – my skin still feels super soft and looks and feels clear and happy.

This mask is gentle but extremely effective on so many levels. On application it had the slightest tingle that didn’t last long, it doesn’t dry tight or pull on your face. I spent 5 of the minutes gently working it into the skin and then let it do it’s own thing.

The consistency is a gel or a super smooth honey like consistency which makes it easy to spread over your face without much product needed. It has a soft natural citrus scent but not over powering or artificial.

Now that personally doesn’t sound like something I would go for, but for me it’s all about results and what is in it, and not only was this mask suitable for my skin but it effectively helps heal and prevent my acne.

It’s my absolute favourite mask and the only one I can tolerate so far while seeing real results. HIGHLY recommend!.

This has glycolic, lactic, citric and tartaric acids in plus a load of fruit acids including passion fruit , grape , lemon and pineapple. The ingredients are what intrigued me into buying it as I’ve been after a product with multiple acids in! The smell of this product, I do not like.

Can’t really explain the smell it’s probably all the fruits mixing together but I’m not a fan! The mask itself is nice and thick, orange in colour and you leave on for 10 minutes. I haven’t had any irritation at all, I’ve used this twice so far.

Ive been using a 7% glycolic product once a week for a few years now. I received a sample of the Goop 15% product with a Goop purchase I made. I have sensitive skin that reacts quickly to a product it does not like and leans toward dry if not highly moisturized regularly.

I was hesitant to try a higher percentage glycolic product, but also very interested. I ran a test on my neck and had no issues, so I decided to try it on my face. I had little to no tingling and my skin immediately started to glow.

I woke up to soft, smooth, glowing skin just as advertised. I was so pleased with the results I decided to purchase a box. I’m currently on week two with the 1x/ week 15% and the results remain the same beautiful effect so far.

I gave four stars instead of five only because of the price point, but the results for my skin are definitely five star.

I have only tried it once so far and it was amazing, I have sensitive skin but I’m also very bold with its limits. This was on the side of maybe I should remove this product sooner than later but I persevered and wow the morning after was shocking in the best way.

These foil-wrapped single-use pads are folded in half and larger than I expected. They’re fragrance-free, and there’s a good amount of liquid – easily enough product to cover my face. They’re rectangle-shaped and a similar material to the typical acne pad, but feel thicker and a little more more plasticky.

These are individually wrapped glycolic resurfacing pads and come in a package of 15 for $22. They are made with 10% glycolic acid (spa-strength) which improves discoloration, smooths fine lines and wrinkles, and brightens the skin.

These were a perfect fit into my nightly skincare routine. I just applied 2 times a week after cleansing on dry skin and let absorb. I followed that with moisturizer. The resurfacing pads are conveniently individually wrapped.

This is great for storage and traveling. The pads have ample product on them. It does not have a smell or added fragrance. Upon application I had slight tingling that disappeared after a few minutes.

Then my skin felt a bit tight and clean. At first use my skin purged the next morning but that is to be expected with glycolic acid. By the next use, I did not experience anymore purging and actually cleared up my skin blemishes.

I tried just about everything since I was over the teenage years and the acne never quit on me. My mom had it until she got very old. I ‘discovered’ glycolix after yet again another visit to a dermatologist which included a chemical peel.

The kit had this in it and PCA after-treatment products. If only I had known about this since my 20s! It would’ve saved me a lot of grief! My skin is oiler than most, and I have been struggling with acne into my 60s.

I get it back of my ears and in them as well !!! when that happens I soak a little in a q-tip for inside my ear, and it goes away quickly.

My skin is not sensitive, so I like to use a height percent glycolic acid toner every other day. These pads are amazing! They did not skimp on product- each pad is saturated with solution. I feel the quality of this product for the price is fantastic! I have it on auto order because I never want to run out.

I LOVE Biossance products! They make up about 80% of my skin care items. I am a little bummed that this glycolic mask did not work for me AT ALL. I purchased a package that came with Biossance samples because I wanted to expand the products I may need for certain concerns.

I received a mini tube of the glycolic mask. I used it one day and didn’t see results… I thought to myself I’m not giving up I’ll give it 3 weeks. In the meantime I had purchased a full size tube because I was so confident I would love the product….

Sadly after my 3 week trial my face is in worse shape! I now have pimples on my face! LARGE pimples. I thought it was maybe purging some of the yuck out of my face which is why I didn’t give up… but sadly I continually breakout with this.

On top of this I can’t return the brand new full sized tube I purchased that has NEVER been open or used…. My suggestion…. Get the mini tube!!.

Every Biossance product I have used I have been pleased with, including this mask. I bought this mask a few months ago in the old packaging (this new tube is better than the old jar packaging imo), but the formula is the same.

I like this mask overall. It is a lightweight exfoliate, yet effective. This mask has its purpose, however, and may not be what everyone is looking for from a mask. I feel like you need to have the right skin type and be looking for a particular kind of mask to have the right results from this product.

This is not a heavy duty, pore-clearing, acne-busting, hyper-exfoliating, tight feeling mask. This is a gentle, exfoliating mask that will clear pores and leave skin soft. When I was younger with more oily, congested, acne-prone skin, I probably wouldn’t have liked this mask or found it effective because it is more gentle and does not strip a lot of oil from skin.

I like using this mask in between my heavy-duty mask because this Biossance mask makes my skin feel soft and supple, yet clean and exfoliated, and I wanted something to help my skin with aging now that I am approaching 30 for preventative measures.

I took off one star because in my experience, the pore tightening and clearing could be improved with this product, but overall this is a gentle mask that properly exfoliates and makes my skin feel soft and refreshed.

For reference: I am almost 30, combo skin, with occasional breakouts. This product did not break me out. I do not have sensitive skin, however, so I cannot comment how sensitive skin users will like this product.

Ohemgee. I received an email about this product and I can’t tell you how glad I am that I was made aware of this amazing product. So I purchased it and the fact I’d never heard of this product until now should be a crime lOl like seriously that’s how great it is! I have purchased and used a lot of products as you can tell from all my reviews, but after using this mask I won’t be purchasing any other.

It’s an affordable price, made by a long standing company, and made with some good ngredients. I’ma be real with you for a moment, honestly I am relieved that I found a mask to live up to the one that I’d been using for the last 6 months, however it’s so pricey, the Joanna Vargas Exfoliating mask.

So if you know about that mask then you’ll understand just how good this Olay mask is. I know, I know, you want me to tell you about the mask, alright, alright, where do I start?! It’s a 2 step Exfoliating system.

Its comes with a Vitamin C resurfacing mask and an AHA peel activator. It’s very different than anything I’ve ever used before. Its interesting and fun to use as well. It instantly smooths your skin, helps diminish fine lines, while removing dry, dull skin to reset brighten the skin’s surface.

It’s also very gentle I’ve experienced no burning, tingling, or any irritation at all while using this mask. It has scrubbing Exfoliating Crystals, it’s sorta like sand yet isn’t harsh on my skin at all.

I seen a major difference after just one use. It’s winter where I’m at so it’s cold and dry, which as you can imagine does a number on skin. This mask has majorly brightened up my skin, cleaned out my clogged pores, removed dead dry skin, while reducing the look of my pores and fine lines.

I am throwing out everything else because this is the one. I highly recommend this mask/peel.

Please never stop making this product or shipping it to Australia. I freaked out as I saw it on for half price and bought everything on the shelf. At half price, I’d buy 10 without hesitation. I have used the most expensive brand names like Dr Gross and Skinstitute and get professional microdermabrasion- this is the only product that even comes CLOSE to that kind of great result.

I have quit paying $100s and $100s on Maxima products and now use this peel every day and the Retinol 24 every night. I have extremely oily acne prone skin for the past 20 years – my skin does not exfoliate properly – regular exfoliators do nothing, but this is abrasive enough and gentle enough for me to use every day.

It has made an incredible difference with my skin and I can’t recommend it enough. Please never stop making this product. I always seem to have some of the AHA liquid left so I use it for spot treatments – it’s the best!!.

I have been very loyal to Olay over the years. I previously used the Olay ProX nightly peel. It was discontinued in 2020, but I was still able to purchase it online through an outside company from overstocked products.

I was so upset it was discontinued and was very reluctant to try this new 2 step out. But, now that I’ve tried it I love it! I was skeptical that a 2x’s a week treatment would be as effective as my previous nightly peel and that it would be so harsh that my skin would be over sensitive for the following day.

I’m so glad I didn’t let that stop me from trying it out. My skins texture, color and suppleness is amazing! Olay did it again with this product. Definitely only start with once a week to begin with.

Gage your use according to how YOUR skin responds to it. I’m going to go ahead and stock up purchasing a few at a time in the chance that it gets discontinued later. I’m 48 and my skins appearance and texture is better now than 12 yrs ago.

Definitely worth the chance to try. Another homerun from Olay!.

I just incorporated this mask 2x per week into my evening skincare routine and it’s literally done WONDERS in just 3 weeks! The mask is a little gritty but goes on flawlessly, is easy to apply and doesn’t sting or smell.

I leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse. That’s my favorite part – in rinsing away the mask my skin feels absolutely baby soft, so smooth and like it’s gotten a major hydration boost. Some masks can make you feel very dry afterwards and this is the exact opposite.

My skin looks dewey, has a subtle glow and fine lines appear reduced and the skin is very smooth. I highly recommend this mask and am planning to gift to several family members and friends over the next year as a self-care treat!.

I was gifted one of those “mini scoops” version of this for Christmas and now finally getting around to use it. I was NOT expecting anything from this mask since this was the first time I’ve ever heard of the brand and the packaging wasn’t very impressive (yes I totally judge the book by its cover with products.

Shame on me LOL). Of course, I looked up the product before I first used it to see how long I need to leave it on for, etc. I’ve gotten about 3 uses out of that little jar. I have huge pores on my cheeks from when I was a teen and had a greaseball of a face and constantly broke out, so after the first use I thought the mask did an okay job: decreased a little redness, but that was it.

I used it a second time (waiting 1-2 days in between) and was extremely impressed that the huge pores on my cheeks looked noticably smaller, and my skin looked even. Of course, I use this in conjunction with the Lumene Nordic C Valo Sleeping Cream after washing off the mask and the next morning, my face looks exceptionally brighter, even, and shrunken pores.

I’m obsessed! Definitely going to purchase the full size tub.

I rarely use wash off masks but I found this one refreshing and noticed a difference after the first use! I have oily and acne-prone skin with a dull complexion and this mask states that it helps with brightening.

The mask container looks like a pint of ice cream and it includes a flat spatula to help you put on the mask. The mask was easy to apply and spread with the provided spatula and did not create a mess.

The treatment has a cooling sensation, without it being in a fridge before using it, when you apply it and throughout your time wearing it. There is a candy scent in the mask which does linger even after you wash it off.

Also, the mask contains a few strawberry seeds that allows you to exfoliate your face when washing the mask off. I left the mask on for 10 minutes, the maximum time allowed, and I took a while washing all the product off.

The next day I noticed the skin near my eye bags was brighter and I look more awake. I will continue to use this mask 2-3 times a week and will look into other products from I Dew Care. *I received this product complimentary from I Dew Care but my opinion is my own.

This sheet mask contains Glycolic Acid plus a dose of Aloe Vera and Ginseng. Promising an instant brightening and hydrating effect. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Scent: It doesn’t smell like anything. So if you’re sensitive to certain fragrances, you should be good.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s instantly refreshing so I can only imagine how good it would feel if I put it in the fridge before using it 😅. I couldn’t feel any tingling or irritation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After the recommended 15 minutes, my face felt so hydrated and looked so glowy! There was no instant brightening effect overall (I suspect it’s because I religiously use HA in my routine 👀).

But my under eye area was so de-puffed and a lot lighter! My absolute favorite sheet mask from both high and low end – it can’t be beat since it is usually 3 for $10 at my local Target! I have used the but I prefer this in the mask form. The glow peel pads are a little stronger and a little more cumbersome to use since you are supposed to rinse off after waiting a few minutes.

I find the sheet masks are milder exfoliation but much more hydrating. I like using them before bed so all the added moisture can “set” while I sleep, or the morning of a special event. These have not broken me out and do not make my skin red/sensitized like the peel pads.

I couldn’t wait to tell about this product, since I got this for testing purposes thru Influenster. Who wouldn’t love a gentle, but EFFECTIVE overnight glycolic peel that refines, retextures brightens the skin while you sleep? Umm hello, ladies! I wish I had more, to notice a 2week difference, but I’m def buying, because the first use, (which your suppose to use 1x a week) I could honestly see feel a difference.

Love the dual texturized peel pad, and how you can slide your fingers right into it, instead of holding it like a regular pad. It’s brilliant on face, neck, chest shoulders (where you are most sun damage) it’s like a do it yourself spa night.

You use after washing drying face before bed, you can use a moisturizer like 15min after, I didn’t Choose to do that, so I could feel full effect. Literally after the one use my skin looked felt dramatically smoother, healthier, skin had a luminous glow, as well as my skin texture feeling better.

That’s just after 1 use y’all, so I can imagine a month of using. With powerful ingredients like 15% Glycolic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, A trio of tropical fruit extracts like mango, banana yellow mombin (do your research ladies) Australian Kakadu Plum (which in itself addresses a lot of skin issues.

But this Peel is the TRUTH Ladies worth the price! #GoopGlow.

The packaging for the peel pads was truly impressive! Then I used the peel pads and was amazed how my skin texture and clarity was changing literally over night. I have used the pads once at night for the last two weeks, followed by a heavy moisturizer, and my hormonal acne is clearing up.

Usually, my skin turnover takes much longer. The peel pads took about one week to arrive but they did not disappoint. The peel pads smell good, but they do sting a tad bit upon application (only because I have healing blemishes).

The peel pads are relatively large in size—I cut them in half to get double the use, also making them worth the cost for me personally.
