20 Best Goat For Pet (2022 Updated)

This says it dissolves instantly in water but i found it to be very clumpy and difficult to mix even in warm to hot water. I bought this for my cats to help with some dandruff and gut health but I’ve had a hard time getting them to try it.

They dont like it plain or mixed with wet food so im not sure about the results. I always thought cats were supposed to like milk but if you have picky cats, maybe try something else.

We have a 95lb lab mix that has had a lot of digestive issues. We were struggling to find something to help him keep his food down. He was forming so much mucus, and everything would just come back up after he finished eating.

This has helped him tremendously! His breathing sounds better, his food stays down, and we’ve been able to keep his weight stable.

My dog Loves it! I add some powder and a splash of water to his food and he licks the bowl clean. Plus it’s healthy for him.

This is one of the few things that I can not do without. Somehow, a few feral cats with kittens have decided I was thier human. They were all in rough shape. Dull, brittle fur with dandruff, bald spots, stinky diarrhea, thin, anxious and low energy.

Granted, for the momma cat she was also feeding her young which takes a huge toll on her but her brother was in the same condition just not as rough. I live in the high deserts of Colorado and started to research how to get them better hydrated as too much water added in thier food can actually harm them.

That is when I came across the benefits of goats milk which lead me to Honest kitchen. After a month there was a noticable difference. I didn’t change the food or anything else. All that was different is I added the goats milk.

After two months thier fur started filling in the bald spots and the fur itself was soft and shiny. It’s been three years now and I still feed this with thier night time wet food. Their fur is beyond silky and soft.

When people pet them they are completely amazed by the way they feel. They have good digestion, no dandruff ( three are black cats to boot) and seem happy and healthy. I attribute the goats milk to much of that.

My Havanese didn’t seem to go crazy for this Goat’s Milk mixed with his kibbles. The kibbles are also new to him too. So I can’t tell whether he doesn’t like the Goat’s Milk or the kibbles. He’s just not crazy for it and walks away most of the time and will eat it only when we won’t give him anything else and he’s really hungry.

I got this for him as a probiotic to help with his yeast infection on his paws. I also switched to the honest kitchen’s limited ingredients food but he doesn’t seem to care for it. Will try for another month and finish the products that I bought from “the honest kitchen”.

I used to purchase frozen goat milk at my neighbor pet store. It was great, however it would go bad before my puppy even finished it. The reason is that you cannot give your dog too much or they get loose stools.

I changed to this, and it lasts longer and doesn’t go bad over a month. I highly recommend for you to use warm water, or barely boiled water, then mixed it with an egg beater. I promise you there will be 0 chunks.

This is was kept my puppy growing at a good pace and kept his weight steady. If your puppy is underweight, I highly recommend this product. Also, if you have a picky eater, mix this with their kibble and not only will they eat the kibble, but the goat milk will help them gain weight too.

Just make sure to follow the instructions on how much to give and do not over do it (extremely important to avoid the loose stools).

When my goats are going off feed for whatever reason one of my initial responses is to get them to eat whatever they will eat. If the roses are in bloom, they get roses. If there is anything green and growing that they will take they will get that.

If it is winter and there is not much for them to browse, they get this and Manna Pro Calf Manna. These treats are loved by my entire herd. They will gobble them up. It works on two levels. One, they eat it and get something in their rumen.

Two it brightens their day; so it has an important psychological effect when they are not feeling well. For us this is a treat and a boost.

I was very happy that you carry Goat Snax, my goats love them and I have had difficulty finding them at my local farm supply stores. I will definitely be ordering more.

I had a goat that was acting sick and loosing weight. He didn’t want to eat. I gave him a little of this everyday and he perked up. Now he hollers at the pasture gate for more. The other goats loved this too.

They liked to eat it right out your hand and follow you everywhere. I would recommend this.

The seed quality is good. With good overall germination but the mix is a bit on the more expensive side. There is a few things I would take out and a few that I would add more of. The alfalfa didn’t sprout in my warm south west Georgia climate.

I would like to see more sun hemp and peas/beans in the mix and some sunflower as well. But over all it’s a good mix.

We put this seed mix out in a pasture that is in terrible shape. Germination was good, but not excellent, likely due to the shape of the pasture. We will purchase again and hope that improvements to the pasture will yield a better crop next time!.

IšverstiShow in original languageWe have 5 old pet goats (all over 12) who have lived on goat chow for most of their lives. They romp and play and are feisty like kids. We have used goat chow for over 15 years and once tried another product because we weren’t able to get the chow.

One of our older goats did not respond well to the other product and for 3 days we thought she was dying. That was the only time we tried another product. We also used to be so careful to combine an assortment of products (beet pulp, oat pellets, and goat chow) then our vet said the goat chow was a complete food and we didn’t need to do anything else.

And we have been giving only the chow, along with hay (and their daily treats!) and again our goats are such lively, happy and healthy animals. We are grateful to Purina for the goat chow and wouldn’t be without it.

And over the years we have had over 20 pet goats, who have all lived very healthy and happy lives in our care and eating goat chow.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have been feeding Purina Goat chow for 7years, I like it but over the years the consistency is changing too much! A few months ago it was dry and didnt have much molasses type coating.

The past 4 bags are almost black with coating. How can the ingredients be the same? It cant. PLease check into your quality control. I also feed the dairy line of pellets,. it too varies. sometimes there is a lot of dust and broken pellets.

goats dont really want to eat the broken pelleted dust. I use 2 bags of the chow a week.

I really just can’t say enough good things about the antler! It’s all natural, great for maintaining our dogs teeth and breath and keeps her occupied. Plus it lasts ages and there’s no smell or mess.

We have a German shepherd and the large size lasts months with her pretty much constantly chewing on it. We’ve tried goat horns, cow ears, kangaroo tails and everything else imaginable and it’s the antler is the only thing that is worth the money and doesn’t get demolished within an hour or less.

I purchased this bone after being recommended goat horns in a dog enrichment FB group. I thought it would be a good alternative to the bones we normally buy. For background, I have a ten month old Pomsky.

She is a super chewer and will chew on anything you let her! We got this bone and it kept her occupied for over an hour! It would’ve been longer, however I had to take it from her. The smell of this bone is HORRIBLE.

I could not fathom it. Safe to say, we will continue purchasing the elk antlers as they are the same price, size, and do not have any odor.

i have bought SO many toys and treats for my golden retriever. Normally “durable” toys don’t even stand a chance. I got this to keep her entertained as she loves to chew, especially sticks. Honestly the best thing I have bought for my dog ever.

She loves to chew it when she’s in the mood and it’s so far super durable, it’s taking her ages to make any dents. Can also add PB etc for an added treat when she needs a bit more distracting!.

If i could speak goat language, I’m sure they would say Yum! Give me me more. They wearnt turning them away they kept coming back for more. These treats are also filled with ptobiotics that helps keep their nutrition levels up.

I was using hydrolyzed protein which is low-grade food predigested with a nasty acid. My dog would go nearly two days without eating before eating that. It was nasty. The Ph. D. docs online talk about novel proteins.

That was hard because I had given my very healthy and strong dog so much variety in her life. This is working well as a novel protein FOR MY DOG. Note that if your dog has an allergy, it can be to about anything.

I have to feed her the food she likes for a week and monitor her poop. She digests this well and likes it. She has to take 4 pills a day (severe blood pressure and low thyroid) and those I insert into a piece of cheese I place on top of the food.

I have also mixed this with scrambled liquid eggs or egg whites. I also feed her some vegan foods which do not bother her but do not always interest her. This brand is well sourced and well made. Nothing compares to making it yourself BUT only do that if you have studied nutrition very well and can source better than a good vendor and if you have a lot of time to prepare the food and keep it safe in storage.

Kangaroo cannot be shipped to my state.

Excellent replacement for my dogs venison px food during 2020 and covid shipping issues they have since continued for some brands. I have 2 very food and skin sensitive French Bulldogs and this has been a HUGE success in our house! I comes in a nice pâté’s form, visual appealing with fresh fruit and veg.

It does NOT look like gross gelatin canned food the rx stuff looked like. just saying. And my dogs LOVE it! Not ear or skin issues since switching! GREATEST FIND AND QUANTITY!!.

My dogs (all 3) love zignature. They are also the only company I know that states “no carrageenan “ on the front of the label. My dogs are older, and one has bone cancer. If you are unfamiliar with carrageenan, it is used as a filler in many dog foods.

It has no nutritional value and it is also an inflammatory. Two of my dogs also experience chronic ear problems. So, I limit the amount of chicken and beef they eat. They get mostly fish, duck and venison.

It helps a lot. My 2 male dogs Can be picky. But they readily eat the zignature. Granted, I won’t buy the kangaroo or other exotic varieties (I’m opposed), but the fish varieties are wholesome and just what I expect from a quality dog food.

It is a bit pricey. But Chewy had/has an excellent deal on a case of the fish. Highly recommend!.

I saw all the amazing reviews so I got one for my 7 months old collie. He doesn’t like it at all. No matter how I use it, making it into milk or add the powder to his meal, he just doesn’t want to lick it at the slightest bit.

Not saying it’s a bad product, but do consider the risk when you place the order.

Although great value for money, I find that this powder doesn’t mix with water as well as the Vetnex brand despite following the instructions to make the paste first. A bit more effort to mix in water to reduce the clumps that it makes.

This product is a great option for your cats than the regular “cat milk” sold in supermarkets, goat milk protect your cats and help with food digestion and provide extra nutrients, I highly recommend it.

My 9 goats will consume a block in 3-4 days. They love it, but we only offer it occasionally (to supplement forage). Has copper that goats need. Not suitable for sheep.

I was looking for a yummy treat that could was a healthy option for Zeus and found this. It is great because it helps with his tummy issues (thanks to probiotics) and Zeus really enjoys it.

IšverstiShow in original languageDisappointed, as I lost a favorite goat to worms. I told the vet that I was using this product, and he said that it was not very effective. I tried to get other options at my Tractor Supply, but this was all the clerk said that he knew of.

This was just after none of the employee in the store could find their keys to the medical cabinet.

A great add in to our MegaEsophaus dogs blended food. Helped him gain some weight and also helps with some poops. We just take the dry powder and throw it right into his food mixture. Since his diagnosis, Cooper has had a rough time pooping, so this does help loosen the stools.

That being said, if you have a dog who is pooping just fine, and you add this into their food, I’d maybe add some pumpkin as well to counteract the liquid poos.

My Golden Retriever puppies didn’t have enough milk from their mother, and this solved the problem. They love it, either mixed with food or just in a bowl. We had to bottle feed them for a week, then they went to a bowl.

“Honest Kitchen” Goat’s Milk is also excellent, and we mix the 2 because the Honest Kitchen has probiotics in it and is pure. But the Esbilac has added vitamins. You have to mix either with warm water and stir a lot to get lumps dissolved.

When bottle feeding, it is best to strain either product with a fine strainer to make sure the bottle nipples do not get plugged.

I bought this because one of my pups was very small and having trouble latching onto mom. I gave her a one cc dropper full every two hours and put her on mom after each time I gave her supplement. It helped keep her from losing weight and she finally started latching onto mom.

It worked good and no loose bowels.
