20 Best Goggles For Triathlon (2022 Updated)

I have been trying to find goggles for open water swimming that don’t leak or fog up. After lots of trial and error I finally decided to try these. I was hesitant because they are expensive and I’ve already wasted a lot of money trying to find the right pair.

These were fantastic …. I wore them for 30 minutes and didn’t need to touch them the entire swim. No leaking, no fogging, super comfy and incredible field of vision. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!.

Today I used them, swim approx. 3600m without any vision problem due to fogging, very comfortable. Excellent glasses highly recommended !!

These goggles are perfect for pool training and open water swimming. They are the first google I have owned that are comfortable around my eyes and nose. There is less drag with the shape of the goggles and minimal “panda” eye post long swim! Fantastic goggle and now my favorite and only goggle of choice! I especially think the strap with a measurement is perfect for getting just the right fit that is equal on both side of your face.

Used these (smoked) goggles for the first time on my swim through Durdle Door on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, UK. Very very comfortable, allowed for plenty of vision as they didn’t fog up, which was essential as I wanted to be able to stop under the Door and look up at its massive stone arch, leaked just a tiny bit, but I think I can adjust the goggles further to prevent that.

Easy to swop the nose piece for the broader size. The straps didn’t snag in my wet hair which was a relief! Really happy with these goggles, thank you!.

The products are amazing!!! The goggles especially, I have really sensitive skin and every other brand gives me the worst goggle marks that don’t go away and make all around my eyes red and swollen but these barely leave a mark at all they’re fantastic!! The towel is super soft and all my friends love it, the cap is really comfortable and the phone case is so good.

I had heaps of fun playing around with it in the water. Again, thank you so much.

I previously had two pair of the goggles which I loved and which had lasted very well over the past two yrs, so I bought another pair. Must have been a glitch for these new ones since after an open water swim & a pool swim the seams appear to have come apart and they leak terribly.

I haven’t had time to notify the company yet though to see if they will replace them ( to be fair). Been out of town.

These goggles came several days late, a day before my meet, leaving no time for a return or replace. When I inspected them there were several spots on both lenses where it appeared as though the glue where the lenses are laminated together had been overused and had squeezed out.

These are not cheap goggles and I paid for them with my own money. I expected them to be fairly well made. I was wrong. I was forced to chose between an older pair or these for my race. I chose these and after the first meet they are already smudged inside.

I suppose this could be my fault but normally a quality pair of goggles has a lasting interior coating. I’m not sure what happened here but I’ve always loved TYR products and have tech suits, caps, goggle, and practice suits made by you.

I’m a high school and club swimmer.

Had these goggles many times, this pair however was faulty and has a broken strap connector. Must be a one off as previous pair have all been excellent and last. Awaiting customer services to deal with this particular purchase, let’s hope their customer services are good!.

This is my second pair of Aqua Sphere Kayenne goggles. I used my previous goggles 2-3 times/week for one year and a half , and it is still in working conditions. It is durable, as the rubber holds its flexibility and tight sealing capacity as new.

The model is very easy to adjust. The lens is still translucid (I would say 80% compared with my brand new set). Excellent for triathlon and open water swimmers.

I’ve been training for an open water swim and needed some new goggles. I’ve been training in the pool and sea so needed goggles that worked for both. I’m so pleased with these, the compact fits perfectly and the smoke tint provides clarity in the sea and pool.

Absolutely love these.

The fit is okay. Kind of dug too deep into my eye sockets. I got a big head (hat size 7. 5+) and had to loosen the strap all the way. First use in the pool, disappointed. Could see clear under water but when you raise your head out, the water doesn’t drain off the lenses.

It sticks on them and then your vision is blurry. Like looking through a wavy and distorted glass window. Other goggles have the water sheet off and they’re clear to see through. Maybe I’ll apply some RainX on them.

Also because of the fit on my eye sockets, I found myself having to adjust them a lot. To make things worse, they scratch easy. They were never mishandled, dropped, or thrown. Didnt run my face into the wall.

May have set them down on edge of the pool. At the end of my swimming I inspected them and there were significant scratches that weren’t there earlier. The silicon parts are great quality, the lenses are junk.

Aqua sphere has these way overpriced.

Fits my daughter’s head/eyes when she tried them on. Have not taken them in the water just yet to try. Bonus for not snagging on her dry hair.

Odd chemical smell. Might go away after first few uses.

These were SO comfy. They are definitely not a racing goggle as they come off when diving, but for laps they’re great. And I have sensitive eyes so I was thrilled about the polarized lenses. Only issue was with only about 4 uses the lens coating started to peel off (creating dark patches on the front of the lenses).

TYR was great and refunded me, but I have no idea of this is a regular issue with these goggles or a random occurrence. Buyer beware.

I have, now, been using these goggles for over a year and 4 months. I love these goggles. Generally, other goggle companies seem to make goggles which have no ‘up’ or ‘down’ relative to the goggles. Most other goggles aren’t properly contoured to the face because of that.

These goggles ARE to be put on only in one direction. The strap that goes between the eyes is where it SHOULD BE just like glasses have a higher than normal bridge. That is why these goggles fit so well; because they are properly contoured to fit a face.

Other goggles, you have to tighten the straps too tight in an attempt to keep water from going under the sides. These goggles? The straps should be set just tight enough that no water goes under them.

You should loosen the straps until it feels very comfortable (they tend to really tighten these straps, setting them for very small heads, straight from the factory. it seems). After you have properly set the tension on the straps, you will not get ‘Raccoon Eyes’, where you get a permanent dent in your face because the goggles are strapped too tight to your head, as most any other set of goggles forces you to do.

All-in-all, these goggles are well thought out as far as the fit goes. About permanent fogging. It seems that, if you wear sunscreens, they can etch the plastic until they get permanently foggy. I found that one can use the abrasive aspects of a finger to polish the plastic.

I wet the lens both inside and out and then rub with my finger back-and-forth every day. The ridges from my fingerprints are abrasive enough that they polish the plastic, over time. If they start getting permanently fogged, I also gently rub them with a cotton ball dipped in isopropyl alcohol.

The abrasive aspect of the cotton ball, just as the abrasive action of fingerprints, tends to act to polish the lenses over time until they are clear again.

I purchased this item specifically for a pool based training course that I recently attended. After 2 days in a indoor pool facility (roughly 6 hours per day), on BOTH lenses there was/is a noticeable “de-lamination” of what, I’m guessing, is the anti-fog “coating”.

Thankfully, it didn’t interfere with my vision, & the goggles worked great otherwise (several other people in the course all had TYR goggles of different variations). Suffice to say I was disappointed in a product I had very high hopes for.

These are very sleek looking and fitting swim goggles. The lens area is quite small making them very streamlined but requiring some adjustment to seal. The straps are easy to adjust and the goggles come with a few different size nose bridges.

Once fitted properly they are a very good goggle particularly in bright conditions given the streamlined design, tint and mirrored lens.

I really liked the design and the lightness of the glasses, as well as the key that is the fit so that water does not get in and that it does not hurt around the eyes even after a long workout. It is the first time I bought without testing or knowing this model (I already had another by the same brand) and I really enjoyed the experience.

It arrived on the agreed date and in perfect condition, well packaged and conditioned. Congratulations to the entire team!.

I swim a lot and in the past Ive tried several different makes and the swim was often wasted due to the goggles letting in water. I asked a swimming instructor one night if she could recommend a make of goggles and she said try Arena and the problem stopped.

Ive probably bought four pairs over the years now and I very seldom have any leaks now. If I do they just need a little adjustment and there fine again.

I have been swimming for the better part of 35 years and have always used goggles which have a smaller volume due to the size of my eyes. Recently I have been using Speedo Vanquisher 2. 0 Mirrored but decided to give the Arena goggles a try, as I am a fan of their products.

These goggles are incredibly comfortable to wear for long periods and have not yet shown any signs of fogging. The strap set up allows me to wear the strands much slacker than usual and exerts no discernable pressure on the temples and eye sockets.

Suction is good without being painful. The tint is great for my tropical climate and outdoor pool. However, I do not give these a 5 star rating because the goggles are very small, even for my tiny eyes and relatively small face.

The inclusion of many nose bridge pieces is helpful and appreciated, but fitting these goggles perfectly is more difficult than any other I have ever used. The reward for getting them on perfectly is a great swim, other than that you will spend a lot of time tugging and pulling when they’re on wrong.

Also, due to the small size and closeness of the lens to my eye, I do notice distortion in my vision when trying to see the other end of the pool or reading the pace clocks. (I have ‘perfect’ vision and do not require any corrective lenses).

Overall, I great pair of goggles when worn correctly!.

I specifically went to TYR website to buy my goggles because my husband has a pair from TYR that has great cushioning and therefore a great seal around the eyes. I was looking forward to the same kind of soft silicone because I have had trouble with goggles that leak.

Even after putting on a different nose piece (which is very difficult to do) my goggles are almost water tight, but not quite. The biggest disappointment is that they are so uncomfortable that I have switched back to wearing a pair that I bought at Safeway for $6 that leak.

I purchased these for my nephew who is on a swim team. He uses them 3times a week. They are comfortable and easy to take on and off. They have been very durable.

I erroneously ordered the “Qualifier” goggles for my 12 and 14 year old. They were too small. If you are looking for affordable goggles for your teen, go with the “Team Sprint” goggles. My kids love those.

They fit great and last long.

I am a swim instructor for all ages. I always have a supply of these goggles in my bag for my students. TYR Qualifier is by far the best fit for almost every child I have tried them on. They are also the one that they are willing to leave on – most comfortable.

Would highly recommend these goggles.

Love the clear lens for better vision! Easy to adjust.

I usually opt for TYR, Nike, or Speedo swim goggles, as they are well-known brands, however, I was replacing a pair of swim goggles to use in an outdoor pool and needed them ASAP and these were the only mirrored pair at my local Walmart.

My town receives 290 days of sunshine a year, so it was important to me to have swim goggles that had mirrored lens to reflect the sunlight. I was skeptical since these goggles do not have an adjustable nose bridge, regardless, they are the best fitting swim goggles I have ever owned! I LOVE the way the straps adjust on the sides, no more silly plastic buckles for my hair to get tangled in, like it does in most swim goggles.

This was also the first pair of goggles I purchased that did not leak! Usually I have to empty the water out of my goggles every few minutes. Lastly, not only did these goggles work as “sunglasses” while in the pool, they also did not fog up one bit! I was so impressed I had to write a review immediately after my first use.

Highly recommend.

Picked these up on a whim for my kid’s swimming lessons. I wasn’t too keen on the price as I felt it was a little on the pricier side but I was out of time and options. But I must say these are worth every penny.

My child didn’t have any fog issues and no water leaked inside the goggles compared to the other brand ones that are relatively cheaper. I’m purchasing a second pair for my youngest. I just wish there were other colors in stock.

I bought this for my 9yrs old daughter. She started learning swimming and the teacher suggested we get a new pair of goggle with this brand. So I found this here. Good price and quality is good. Fit her face perfectly.

It took them 4 attempts to make goggles fit as first several pairs they sent me were leaking water and/or causing pointy paint in certain spots. But what is so much worse – they fog like crazy. After 200 meters you can’t see anything.

I tired multiple anti-fogging solutions and only few of them worked ok on the goggles, and those which worked ok – I need to reapply it every single time before going to that pool. I regret the purchase and money spent on not too cheap goggle which ended up in garbage anyway.

My overall experience is/was just okay. Magic5 couldn’t ship my goggles in a timely manner and I was extremely disappointed. I wanted to use them in my last race of the season, but I didn’t receive my goggles in a timely manner.

When I received them, I didn’t like the nose piece and there was no extra nose pieces like their product description indicates. Weeks after my request for more nose pieces, I was advised that the nose pieces were hidden in the case – on the bottom.

It would be prudent if they let their customers know this before they become upset as well. Just this week (it’s now been 3-4 weeks since I requested the nose pieces) I received the extra nose pieces (with no note, mind you).

They also gave me a 20% discount code on future orders and a $10 refund because they couldn’t ship in a timely manner. They have tried to make things right but I’m disappointed in the overall experience.

Based on my experience I would not recommend them to my fellow triathletes and swimmers. However, I will probably order another pair in the future with that 20% off coupon to give them another shot. I’ve only used the goggles once (yesterday) and they performed well.

It’s too early to tell if they’re a good investment – after all they are the most expensive goggles on the market. They tried to make things right with me, but they just don’t respond quickly enough for my taste.

Hopefully when/if they ever “get up to speed” their customer service will improve. But for now, I would give their customer service a 2 out of 5 due to slow response time. Again, they made an effort but they just don’t respond to problems quickly enough for my taste.

Get these now, (take care of them) and you will save tons of money for years to come. Went on the hunt for better goggles after the same problems most google-wearers experience. Was in the market previously for custom headphones and got curious about custom goggles.

Shocked there is only this company after all these years to make custom goggles, but the same goes for V-Moda and their headphones. Thank God this company exists. I highly recommend these and the case, although I had to modify it so the straps don’t accidentally touch the inner lenses and destroy the anti-fog.

The goggles look badarse under any lighting but esp in the sun, they have a nice minimalist look in the front, and the design is unique enough for me to love it. As advertised, they fit perfect. More perfect than Cinderella’s shoe I daresay.

Absolutely no leakage and gone are the days of migraines, headaches, and 3D impressions around my eyes due to crappy generic goggles. Ordered my wife a pair as well and can’t wait for her to experience the Magic⁵.

I used to buy Speedo goggles for swimming for years. I used to have to replace them every year. Six or seven years ago, I went to Sports Academy to get my next pair but they were out of Speedo goggles.

Looking around I saw a TYR pair and bought them. They lasted until a month ago when the little plastic piece on one side broke. That’s when I bought this pair. TYR goggles are the best!.

Pros: Great googles with lovely clear field of vision and very comfortable. I have the photochromatic variant. Caveats: Anti-fog coating is not permanent. best get a anti-fog pen to re-treat when wears off.

or be sure to layer with spit once anti-fog stops being effective. Photochromatic feature not very obvious. makes these great for cloud or partly cloudy days as mostly a clear lens. On super sunny day for early mornings it is probably better to use darker lens variants.

I was looking forward to upgrading to a pair of polarized Attack goggles. They do the job of stopping water getting in, but in all other respects they have been nothing but disappointing. They claim to have “Anti-Fog lens protection” to give “crystal clear vision preventing the need for mid swim demisting”, yet I’ve found the complete opposite – I’ve never had goggles which fog up so quickly (often totally foggy within 100 meters), including some 5+ year old pairs.

I’ve resorted to buying expensive anti-fog spray for these, which I’ve never had to use in any other goggles before these pair. In addition, the reflective lenses use a chromatic coating applied to the outside of the lens.

This coating comes off with even the faintest contact with any other objects, including a towel. This has resulted in the lenses being totally marked and my chromatic coating has almost totally gone within 2 months of light use.

This doesn’t impact the clarity of vision too much, but it’s very disappointing that they have lost the coating so quickly. If they’re built with such a fragile coating, I would expect them to be supplied with a carry-case (or at least a soft bag), which they’re not.

Overall, very poor quality goggles and not what I expected from a Zone3 product. I wouldn’t recommend.

My first experience with the goggles was very positive, but my second swim, the goggles – white – had turned a nasty yellow brown. They perform well, no leaks and minimal misting. I’ve approached zone 3 for comment, but despite me emailing several times to see if this is normal, I move had no response.

Very port customer experience. The tiny on the lens is too dark, as well, so unless using in bright outdoor conditions, I’d go with a lighter lens.

Unfortunately I again bought a swim suit in a size much bigger than my measurements and again it does not fit. I wear a size 12 in a swimsuit, have for many years now. I bought an XXL/40 but it is quite tight on me.

Taking it off is actually painful. I swim daily and this suit, just like the previous one I purchased from TYR is way smaller than the stated size. It’s about time TYR recognizes that all kinds of ages and bodies swim, not only preteens.

How about making your sizes true to measurements. I won’t be buying another suit from you as I can’t waste anymore money trying to guess which letter or number of your sizes will fit me! I did try to have an email conversation with customer service but they ignored me when I pointed out the sizes and measurements were unrelated to fit.

Shame, it’s a good looking suit.

I really love this suit. In fact, it is the most comfortable suit I have ever owned. I think because there are such thin straps, it doesn’t offer the support you need if you have a chest, but the way it feels in the water makes up for that.

The fabric is very forgiving, to the point that I started to reconsider other factors to focus on the fabric. I got a 36, which in most Tyr suits fits snugly like a competition suit, but because of the thin straps and cut, I wonder if I should have got a 34.

I purchased another Tyr suit with more straps in the back in the same size, and it offered the fit I am used to. I like the leg cut too — a little cheeky but not obscene. Also, thank you Tyr for making a pink suit — kind of fun considering the standard blue/red/green/black patterns can lack imagination and start to look the same over time.

I decided to break out of the mold of the TYR Durafast Elite Maxfit one piece suits that I’ve worn FOREVER, and I’m glad I did. This suit has great coverage, especially of the buttocks, and is lightweight and flexible.

It’s fun to be wearing a print again. I hope TYR can increase production so this suit is available in my size (36) in additional colors. I’ve only had the suit a couple of weeks so it’s hard to rate the performance and durability.

Fingers crossed that both will be excellent.

Dispatch from Myer was very quick and I received it within 2 days. The goggles itself are a disappointment. While they are very comfortable and don’t feel like they’re trying to gouge out your eyeballs, they are not anti-fog.

On their maiden run at the local pools, they fogged up after about 20 minutes of use. Now I’m looking for a different pair of goggles and these are just an expensive backup in the bag.

These are the best goggles I have ever had – now onto my second pair. I use them for lap swimming and doing turns underwater. The seal is very good, and easy to adjust. The anti-fog is great, but does wear off in time.

The standard size fits both me (woman 170 cm) and my son (196 cm). The visibility is a joy. For lap swimming, these goggles are a good investment.

Comfortable and do not leave marks around eyes, even after 1000m. Leakproof. I wear contact lenses and the goggles feel super safe. Protect against harsh sunlight too. And … look sexy! Fog up a little after a while from body heat, but a little wipe and then they are good for another few 100metres.

The mask is very light and comfortable. fits well on the face and does not let water through. Super!!!
