20 Best Goggles For Womens (2022 Updated)

I bought the speedo goggles for my Caribbean Island cruise in Nov. 2021. These goggles were very nice and truly liked them. Adjusting the straps were very challenging as they came with multiple straps.

Once you figure out to fit your head it’s good to go. The googles never leak and fit in my eyes perfectly. However, after one hour of swimming and came to my stateroom, I took off my googles and noticed that my left eye was completely blood red around the white area.

So, I went immediately to see the ship doctor and explained what had happened. She examined my eyes and concluded that no damaged to either eye but nothing more than hemorrhage. The doctor thinks it might have been too tight, but it gave me a scare and threw them away.

I will still say buy the product if you can do better in the fitting.

Speedo Speed Socket 2. 0 Mirrored are comfortable and technologically advanced googles. They are easy to put on over my eyes. I love that the nose piece does not irritate my nose because it curves upward.

Moreover, with little effort, you can adjust the strap, so it is not too tight or too lose while over your head. I love that these googles are designed so they do not fog up. While in the water swimming, it was great not to have my vision obstructed with foggy lenses.

I also appreciate that these goggles block uv rays, so even with the intense sun rays, my eyes remained protected, and I could still see well above or below the water. I love that the googles fit comfortably over my eyes and do not leave red marks or deep grooves in my skin when I take them off.

I enjoy using Speedo Speed Socket 2. 0 Mirrored Goggles and will continue to do so.

Terrible product. She has used these in the past but this new model is flawed. First, the nose bridge piece comes off with the slightest touch. It does not snap in place securely. Second, the head strap snapped during her first practice.

My daughter has swam competitively for years and knows how to properly adjust her goggles. There was definitely a flaw/defect with these goggles.

Excelent quality Genuine Speedo Vanquisher 2. 0. They look great and a very comfortable. I have a wide nose, so I was please it comes with a number of nose bridges including small ones to ensure proper fit.

I was also suprised to learn they have double silicone seals around the eyes. I haven’t had any water leakage while swimming and I don’t think I will due to the adjustable straps, variety of nose bridges and double seals.

They also have good periferal vision, could easily also use in open water swimming. 4 stars because it took a while longer to reach Victoria from California than expected.

My son is on the swim team so we’ve been through a lot of goggles, especially Speedo. I don’t know is wrong with this specific kind, but he used them ONCE for swim practice in an indoor pool and a sticky film appeared on the inside of the lenses.

We tried many cleaners and nothing will take it off. I’m returning these.

My word, Speedo, you’ve done it again! These are the comfiest goggles I have ever worn, which is counter intuitive since they’re marketed as racing goggles. They are comfier than my silk sleep mask 😉 The change of nose bridge is a triumph too; no clicking or twisting or pulling, or tearing off the skin of my fingertips.

Despite being mirrored, they do not darken your environment, which is always a worry in dingy swimming pools. I wasn’t expecting this, so I was pleasantly surprised as I’d always wished Speedo would offer a racing goggle with a clear lens.

I can’t wait to race in them. Maybe I’ll get an orange pair to match my racing suit. If you find that Speedo racing goggles are comfy for you, or good for racing for your particular face shape, you absolutely will not go wrong with these.

They look cool and the colours are beautiful, but they are not suitable if you have long eyelashes. Due to their hydrodynamic, low profile, lenses are close to the eyes, and the average person with average eyelashes will be fine, but if your eyelashes are very long, the will brush against the goggles.

I also find the overall comfort level less comfortable than for example the Speedo Vanquisher or Opal (it depends on your face shape). When you race, comfort is essential. I don’t justify spending that much for a goggle that is not 100% comfortable and absolutely perfect.

My son already had a pair of these goggles and wanted another pair for training which is a testament itself. Fit well and are durable which helps when he’s training 5 times a week. His sister has the same model (but different colour) and she swims 8 times a week so a popular and repeat choice for our family.

Sweatband had a good price on this item and having ordered from them before, delivery was swift as usual. I would definitely recommend this product at a good price from Sweatband.

Hi – The goggles are top-notch construction-wise but 1] my older fingers had a heck of a time swapping out the nosebridge sizing piece 2] something about the eyepiece was pressing into my socket an ‘odd’ way, approaching ‘painfully pressing’.

So there you have it. Luckily, I have a great TYR experience because I also ordered TYR Special Ops 2. 0 Transition Adult Goggles. A few bucks more but WELL WORTH IT. Save the guesswork. Get the best ones you can afford.

Bought these because my old ones fogged up and leaked when I did flip turns. These goggles changes my life. I am not a competitive swimmer by any means–I swim several times a week to work out. But these allow me to see the whole time (no more wiping off my goggles mid-swim) and I don’t have to stop to re-adjust them after every flip turn.

Would highly recommend.

I’ve always worn another brand but decided to try these. I was pleasantly surprised how well they fit (female smaller face) and that they did not leak at all. I swim on Masters team 5 times weekly, these goggles work really well.

I will definitely purchase again.

I’ve bought a bunch of different sunglasses since finally switching from prescription eyeglasses to contacts last year. Everything from cheapo no-name box store/gas station pairs to nicer Ray-Bans and Maui Jims and plenty in between like Smith and Sunski.

Honestly, these simple Goodrs are my favorite for daily use. They fit my face the best, they are lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear, and the lens quality is “good enough,” with no noticeable optical distortions and ample protection from UV and polarized light.

The lens is large enough and offers a very slight wrap so that your eyes are pretty well protected from peripheral light, although obviously a wraparound or shield style would be more protective. I think they fit so well because of the type of plastic used for the frame.

It is a light, flexible, soft-feeling plastic with a matte, almost velvety texture which allows the frames to bend slightly to fit your face without creating pressure points, and sit on your nose without slipping or sliding.

My only complaint is the lack of an antireflective coating (not that you would expect one at this price point), which means you can get a little bit of glare/reflection from the inside of the lens at certain angles, especially with the mirrored lens versions.

Wearing a hat helps reduce glare dramatically, as well as protecting from any unwanted peripheral light. Aesthetically, you also have a lot of options available to you, from the candy-colored frames and mirrored lenses to the more conservative black, grey, or tortoiseshell colorways.

The neutral colorways are my preference for everyday use but I also have some of the fun, brighter colors to wear for a giggle. It’s easy to justify buying a fun color on a whim because they’re so inexpensive.

I think I’ve got six or seven pairs of these OGs in different colors by now. Overall these sunnies are really unbeatable for the price. I find that I reach for my Goodrs a lot more often than I reach for my Ray-Bans or Maui Jims.

The name of these glasses targets a minority group (the MOST minority of minority groups) using PHYSICAL TRAITS to imply that a person has a black soul and therefore implicating that it is acceptable to judge others and put them down based on physical appearance or race.

Using willing redheads and a black woman as models and writing a poem about your glasses does not negate your message or make it OK. Would you change the name to “A Black Person’s Soul”? Or “An Asian’s Soul”? Not to mention that you use a derogatory term “ginger”.

So, would you also be open to naming these glasses “A (derogatory term for a black person’s) soul?” or “A (derogatory term for an asian person’s) soul?”. Having a red beard does not mean you know what it is like to grow up as a redhead, btw.

Did you grow up being made fun of on the bus specifically because of your massive red curly hair? Did you get spit on because of your red hair as a child? Did a teacher treat you unfairly because you looked different? Did she make you sit at a table alone, continually ignore you when your hand was raised and treat you differently than the other kids? Sure, my hair is now the envy of many and Disney has changed the stigma against redheads in younger generations by having a glorified heroine with red locks.

But that doesn’t change the fact that a good share of redheads have endured the trauma of being bullied and discriminated against by peers and adults as kids. If you have sensitivity and respect for other racial groups, you should show the same for us.

Your message to redheads here is that they deserve to feel badly about themselves which honestly makes you no better than people that target minority groups. I recognize that you are trying to be cool and funny in your marketing campaign and clearly you are funny, but this isn’t cool.

Making money across a broad market at other people’s expense is wrong. I am asking you again to please change the name out of respect not just for redheads, but for the sake of ceasing put-downs and discrimination against ALL minority groups.

This is the sad saga of my sunglasses journey. I had a pair of sunglasses for several years, I lost them while swimming in a river due to a leg cramp. I ordered my first purchased pair of goodrs! Exciting! I received them the day before I left town for a river trip with my gal pals and I was excited for their maiden voyage.

Well the river was SUPER crowded. at one point my tube flipped and I could not surface due to others tubers tubing over me. Lost my brand new glasses to the river. So, I bought another pair immediately and this time, purchased a croakies/lanyard/whatever u call it to keep them on your head.

I received my new glasses and less than two weeks later, the hinge snapped while I was putting my sunnies on 😩 I was not aggressively bending the hinge, I also have a smaller than average head so I really hardly ever have the hinge issues other people do.

I was keeping the arms fairly straight so that I could put the sunglasses on with the croakie but not rigid or aggressively. I know this whole sage isn’t goodr’s fault, but I provided the context to point out that the croakies is needed in an active sunglasses wearer’s life, but apparently the goodr hinge can’t withstand croakies without babying them.

I’m sad because otherwise I loved my goodr, the lenses are great, the no bounce is great, the style is great… but I just can’t justify buying another pair that will either get lost in the water if I don’t use a croakie, or will snap after a couple weeks if I do use a croakie.

I have a tall, pointy, skinny nose. It’s obnoxious to find glasses and goggles. I usually buy speedo prescription competition ones. Decided I would try Tyr again, recalling the comfort of a pair of Tyr non-prescription goggles from years ago.

The good: These goggles seem to be solid choices if you want prescription. The lenses are clear. The material and quality feels good and durable like they will last years. The bad: For me, the nose bridge is very uncomfortable.

I have this problem with all goggles, including speedo brand— which is why I wanted to try these. It also seems necessary to tighten them excessively to prevent water from leaking in while swimming fast.

These two factors make them quite uncomfortable— again I have a narrow face, with a narrow and tall nose that is pointed. May not be true everyone or others. I also wish there was more dark options and UV/ UPF protection products.

I got these while on sale, and am keeping them as a backup. I’ve decided to purchase a new pair of Speedo racing prescription goggles because for my face type they are more comfortable. I share this info not to dissuade people from purchasing, unless you have similarly narrow pointy noses… but rather to hopefully inform the Tyr product team of something to consider when designing next generation products.

I can’t remove the flexible seals on the new model which means I can’t give it a periodic deep clean & soak. This will likely lead to mildew forming that can’t be removed, causing a health hazard. Also, the new style nose bridge is not compatible with the older models, making it more difficult to mix lens strengths with older stock I have.

I can’t understand why TYR changed a winning product that I’ve bought many times over.

Wow! I can’t believe the difference these goggles have made. I can see for the first time in 65 years. I’m not running into people or walls! The swimming is so much more of an enjoyable experience. I don’t have to ask people if they can see what time the clock on the wall says.

Heck, before these goggles I could not even see the clock of the wall. When you are in the middle of a pandemic and Michigan has shut down your indoor tennis and pickleball. finding joy in the pool with crystal clear vision has been a godsend.

Thanks Tyr for opening up a whole new world to me. ,. one that I can now see and appreciate. Woohoo! Miracle in the Y pool because of my new prescription goggles!.

I’ve been having serious fogging issues with a pair of Giro goggles and had read good things about Anon’s anti-fog coating. Combine that with the two lenses, and their MFI technology, they’re actually a decent price and great added value during these times of mandatory face masks.

Unfortunately the MFI face mask was missing from the box when it arrived, so I had to return the goggles. They seemed to fit pretty well, but there was a small gap around my nose when trying them on at home.

For this brand, I might be halfway between their regular and low bridge fit. They look good and the lens changing was really easy. If they fit you and they have the mask included, they seem like a great option.

I got these because I needed a bigger lens wardrobe for varying conditions in the PNW; the violet lens gave me great clarity on mostly shaded runs, and the onyx was excellent in direct sun/on dappled snow.

The field of vision is wider in the WM1 than my older Anons, and the comfort level is better (I have a big nose and didn’t feel like these were smashing it). They never fogged. The lenses are incredibly easy to change out; they pop off and on without any effort, but I never worried they weren’t secure.

I really love the silicone inside the strap; these won’t pop off of your helmet. The only cons are that you have to be mindful to not accidentally pop the lens out when putting on/taking off; if you squeeze them in the right places, the lens will be released.

I also had to fully lengthen the strap to fit on my Smith helmet (Wm’s size M), so if you have a very large helmet, these may not work. Once I got over the lens release learning curve though, I was super in love.

I bought these for my fiancé, and she loves them, apart from one glaring issue. The violet lens appears to be defective because it is fogging up between the inner and out lens, making it impossible to wipe away the fog or see out of the lens.

This doesn’t happen with the Onyx lense, however. Quick change magnetic lenses and a magnetic facemask are the way to go! It’s so easy to swap out lenses, and the magnetic facemask creates a good seal that greatly minimizes goggle fog (when you’re not using a defective lens).

I bought these to have better integration with my size L Anon Prime Mips helmet than my Smith Squad goggle. They do fog up less, but pinch my nose a lot more. So far I have been using the cloudy/pink lens, and it works well in snow and cloudy/flat light.

a little darker than I would like on storm days, but usable. Haven’t tried out the blue variable lens yet. The magnetic lens swap system is awesome, and really easy. I just agree with a post I saw on the Burton site in that I wish these came with an additional protective bag for the spare lens, since spare lenses cost $105 on their own, etc.

I bought one for $6 on Amazon, though. I’m 6’3″, with a longish, oval face, and not a huge nose or anything, and am always between medium and large helmets. So, these might fit others better. But, yeah, these really pinch my nose closed hard compared to any other goggle I’ve worn with this helmet.

So, 4 stars if they fit you because of the lack of lens bag. 3 stars for me because they aren’t very comfy for me, but work well.

Don’t put the spare lens in your coat pocket while riding even if you have them in their cloth pouch. I had them in my chest pocket, which seemed to be very loose, and I couldn’t imagine anything bad happening to them especially since they were inside the cloth for only one day of riding.

Anyhow, the lens coating started to rub off, and it got worse in the following days. Luckily Evo warrantied them, since they were practically brand new, and they gave me another pair in a better color.

These lasted for the rest of the season without anything happening to the lenses, until a few weeks ago when I noticed that the coating on the Sonar green also started to rub off, and I don’t believe I even put them in my jacket.

In any case it’s mostly cloudy here in the PNW so I bought a clear lens, and luckily it came with a proper hard case. Since then, I’ve been storing my spares in there and putting that in my coat they’re remained unscathed, but I think it’s no bueno that Anon doesn’t provide you with this spare lens case when you buy the goggles.

It’s extremely useful, and definitely helps keep them protected. Also, the magnet in the MFI is awesome, but it’s a very delicate piece of plastic, and will break if you’re not careful. Pity Anon couldn’t just make these out of aluminum and put the magnets inside there.

In any case, make sure to take it out when you wash the face mask.

I was almost in disbelief when I put these on to ride this weekend, of course it had been some years since I had purchased a new pair of high light lenses and never owned Oakleys, but I was seriously impressed.

Could see every little detail and no fog issues. Very happy with the jade iridim prizims. Can’t wait to try out my low lights!.

Just skied with the new goggles for the first time yesterday. It was snowing! Visibility was good until the last chair lift ride when snow began to melt or stick to the lens. The visibility was great and the fit was good.

I have a small face, so i chose the medium size which worked well. Now I just have to order a lens for full sun (which we rarely get) and figure out how to change lenses.

I use this goggle for giving swim lessons to my 5-year-old, so I need something that’s comfortable for long periods, gives a wide field of view, and has flawless underwater optics. This meets the bill, almost.

My Vanquishers have the best underwater optics, bar none – but the field of view is a bit too limited to keep track of a young kid, and the racing style digs in a bit too much for long-term comfort. My Kayennes are comfortable and have a wide field of view, but the underwater optics (as with other curved-lens goggles I’ve tried) are horrible – everything is fuzzy, as though I were suddenly badly nearsighted.

The Cressis are comfortable, have a better field of view than the Speedos, and have a flat lens, so vision underwater is clear. However, I do have some slight issues with double-vision, as the flexible nose-bridge allows the two eyepieces to spread apart far enough that the lens faces angle outwards.

Keeping the strap on the loose side, and positioning the eyepieces closer to my nose, mostly solves this. Also, I’ve noticed that the underwater vision, while clear, seems de-magnified – that is, everything seems a bit smaller and farther away.

I can’t explain the optical cause of this, but it’s something I’ve noticed on-and-off. With the Cressis, when I transition from above-surface to underwater (which I do a lot), my eyes have to take a moment to do an optical re-adjustment to adapt to the different image – akin to refocusing.

Not a deal-killer, but it has caused me to go back to the Speedos a time or two.

I bought these for my 6-year old granddaughter and she loves them! The quality is excellent and they include all the features we wanted. The double-banded adjustable strap ensures a snug and comfortable fit.

They may cost a few dollars more than other, lower quality brands, but they’re worth every penny. Highly recommended!.

+: good seal, no water comes in good clarity in the pool, when is no foggy -: get foggy really quick, but if you continue swimming, clears up in 20-30 min tight around the nose – it could be very well related to my face anatomy, but have no issues with my other pair of Aqua Sphere goggles General: so far so good.

Happy with the general feeling/performance. Let see how it performs in 6 month to 1 year. There is where start to make the difference.

I love the fit and finish of these goggles. They integrate well with my Smith Vantage helmet. Changing lenses is really easy. That being said, it’s good they are because the very first outing in the backcountry I got a few snow crystals on the inside of the lens.

I very carefully used the microfiber cloth to clean it and scratched the lens squarely in my field of view. I have never known goggles to be that weak to not even be able to clean them without leaving scratches.

This is a very disappointing criticism to have to make. I find it outrageous that for nearly $300 the product is this fragile. And at over $100 per lens I’m sure Smith is making money hand over fist on these.

I can recommend these to those who don’t mind dropping a lot of money not just once, but over and over, or to those who don’t plan to transition in anything but clear conditions. I plan to scour the internet for strategies on cleaning these without ruining them.

After many years away from Smith goggles, I figured I’d try them again. My previous experience was that far cheaper goggles successfully didn’t fog. Well with COVID requirements this year, I am constantly fogging, breaking one of my goggle rules of not messing with stuff under the goggle foam.

It takes so long to unfreeze then unfog! (Other rule – don’t touch a wet internal lens). The moisture condenses on the plastic at the top of the goggles frame, I think because the plastic is so thick.

Then I found that the moisture was also condensing and accumulating on the helmet where it meets the goggles, which is disappointing since Smith advertise integrated venting with their helmets and goggles for great venting.

I find this so frustrating because ‘lesser’ brands and their low end models have been so successful for me in never fogging. Initially, they were way too tight on my face, with the band extended all the way out.

That has eased substantially with use and I don’t even notice. The lenses are nice to look through, fairly easy to switch out once broken in, come with a really functional bag with a sleeve for the spare lens, but it seems like Smith need to look at their venting.

I was so excited about these?they’re GORGEOUS and the back clip is great?but they ultimately didn’t give me visibility on-par with my Anon WM1s. Ordered the White Vapor with the Everyday Rose Gold Mirror lens.

The IO Mag S field of vision is a bit wider than my Anons but *it’s shorter*, which I disliked. I also got nasty reflective interference in sunny conditions that limited visibility and ultimately made these a No (I didn’t ski with these but took them up to the mtn).

I also think the lens is too hard to change out?I worried I’d break something. If you’re skiing in total overcast and don’t care about seeing the tips of your skis or the front of your board when you ride, these may work for you.

Returned.

Great visual clarity on both sunny and overcast days. Surprisingly nice fit with my existing ski helmet (Pret). Overall very happy with the ways these perform.

This is my second pair of this particular model. I bought this pair at an end of season sale so I got them at a very good price. I used my current pair for the last 4. 5 seasons and have been very satisfied.

These works ok during day,not so at night. Fits well on my helmet. These don’t form a very good seal around the face so so air gets in on windy days. visibility is also not so great.
