20 Best Gold Panning Kit (2022 Updated)

Bets gold pan I have ever bought, I’ve had the garret super slucie as well as the standard balck pans. The large minelab pan it that much lighter than the garret one. As well as blue being a much better contrast to black sand and gold.

Really sting and durable. The small accessories are a bonus and are really handy. The classifier is fantastic with the handles and works a treat. Highly recommed this product to a beginner or a personal.

It will last you a life time.

I love mine! A panning partner was jealous, so I bought him one for Christmas. The more you use it, you’ll find out all the benefits. I think the pan is a bit heavy, but I am a 60 yr. old woman. Lol

It is winter in Minnesota so I have not tried this kit yet. After reading many favorable reviews and watching several YT videos that highly praised it, I am sure it will perform as expected. The kit contains all of the items described and each piece was in good condition when received.

just purchased this gold panning kit and could not wait to get it home. i am new to this and have never panned for gold so i tried it out. i collected a 5 gallon bucket of dirt from the yard, i threw in 5 lead pellets (lead is only one molecule lighter than gold), mixed up the dirt and began.

I used the seperator got all of the big itmes out, filled a 30 gallon barrel with some water and began to pan, at the end i had black sand and my five lead pellets left. the pan and the classifier worked great.

The durability and finish is top shelf. The design comes very highly recommended. I know for a fact that Dan Hurd uses this exclusively. It has deep patented sluice in the front. And it’s so rugged that you can put it over a 5 gallon bucket and sit on it.

It’s the best built pans I have found. I don’t think you can break it on a bet. It’s that tough.

This is the PERFECT kit to start your new hobby. The quality is on point. Very easy to work on/with. You’ll probably be using the 14″ pan the most. It was the best price I could find on line.

I highly recommend the Garrett Deluxe Gold Pan System. It is big enough to get a strong sample to pan!! Try it, you too will LOVE it!!

I ordered this gold panning kit with hopes of panning for gold in Colorado and Kansas. I broke it open for it’s maiden trip to Colorado and it proved to be very useful in my panning adventure. It was a very good purchase and I encourage you to watch some of the great YouTube videos in preparation.

Little tiny book which he says little about using the panning method but tries to sell his “metal detectors” give me a break. Total waste of money. The pans are O. K. not at all worth the money. Hey sell the pan, update the book for panning, sell your “metal detectors’ some where else.

Great kit has everything to get started (or continuing) gold panning. The booklet is of limited value, though, since over half of it talks about using their gold (metal) detector, which is not included in this kit.

But the pans and classifier are the best!.

Only cost a couple more dollars than the cheapest gold pans but much tougher and a well thought out design. Has a ridge all around the bottom to help trap the gold there. The riffles on the side work great as well but the best part is the thick plastic, you can load this pan up with wet material and don’t have to worry about the pan wanting to fold up from too much weight.

I have spent years working with micro fine gold in hard rock ores. These are the perfect pans for testing the two pound samples of crushed rock that is my standard test.

We decided to go out gold panning one day at a local area known for it (Hatcher Pass) and took a few of these along. They were inexpensive and performed great in the field. The indentations allow you to finely control the angle and rate at which the separation occurs, leading to the occasional eureka moment where you see a flicker of gold.

works for the young and old timers, works as expected. good size good thick quality, it has a small hole for a thin rope to use as a securing ppoint!!! Can take a few good skids over the black top but its not sugested for the younger ones.

This is THE BEST DOG SLED ive every bought for my seeing rye dog. I think ill buy a couple since my dog chewed up the last one right before we had to go back for more white wune spritzers lol.

Like the fine riffles for catching fine gold and that pan is so light weight .

6.20 for a gold pan, that’s a steal! The gold pan came early and it works well panning at the river. You cant get anything better for the price point!

A friend of mine got me into gold panning this year and gave me the basics on panning. I had seen the blue bowls and did some research on them as I was skeptical about purchasing one. I also asked my friend about them and he said he had one and took it out, showing me how it worked.

I purchased this model (had the pump) and tried it out on some pay dirt I had purchased and panned. It worked great as I found some more gold I had missed. This unit came with a short hose which I found not very useful.

But I purchased some quick connect/disconnect attachments, along with a 15′ garden hose so I can use it by streams. I also used a 13 gal trash can and another piece of shorter hose to use at the house.

The pump worked great connected to my rechargeable battery jumper box. All in all I am quite pleased with the performance and portability of this item.

It arrived very fast. The bowl is thick and heavy duty. It works great. Saves a LOT of time removing the black sand. The pump moves more than enough water for its purpose. I had thought about making my own, but after seeing the design of the center cone and how it actually functions, preventing the heavy particles from going up over the tip when operated correctly.

I doubt the bowl would ever break under any circumstance, so I suppose if someone stole it, or never returned it, I would definitely get another one.

Serious Detecting representatives were great with all the questions I had! They replied immediately and stood with me until I got my shipment. I would order again and will recommend ordering for anyone who is interested.

The product is wonderful and I have been using it regularly. The pump works wonderful with recirculating the water. The water regulator works great without leaking. Hoping to find gold, but apparently the land that I have been checking has silver and the Blue Bowl works for silver as well.

The gold pans seem to be a nice quality plastic, and the little bottles are a nice addition to the kit. The rock hammer is a pretty substantial hammer it will be great for smashing open rocks, I think it will also work well as a fossil hunting hammer.

The little magnifying glass with tweezers is really cool, they are attached together in such a way that you simply use one hand to pick up tiny objects while looking through the magnifyer. One note, check the box carefully because we almost forgot about the magnifyer and it was easily hidden in the packaging.

We haven’t had a chance to test the pans yet because it is about 3° outside and the streams are all frozen. It was less expensive to buy this kit than it would have been to buy two pans individually.

When researching panning kits online most were $35-45. For under $20 I think this is great. We used it this weekend (with minimum success. darn) and had a great time. The two size pans are handy to have and they’re pretty heavy duty as far as plastic goes.

The rock pick is quite heavy and would double as a nice bedside protective device in a pinch. The magnifying glass/tweezer unit would be better without the hokey magnifying glass. good idea, poor quality on that piece.

Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised.

This kit is my second. I purchased it for a friend as I was happy with the first one. I like to be able to move my work to the smaller pan.

I received my gold panning set just in time to use it for a bag of paydirt that I received for being a patreon for Mr Dan Hurd in Canada. I live in the United States Virginia to be exact where there is hardly any gold to be found.

Needless to say I was over excited to find out what I have received but my dilemma was not owning a gold pan. Not anymore since then I have received my Garrett gold panning set and enjoy it thoroughly.

It works great fast and easy I recommend this to anybody looking to get in prospecting for gold.

I was only looking for a single pan. This kit has two. The magnified tweezers, two plastic storage bottles and rock hammer were bonus items. Rock hammer is not the highest quality but will serve the purpose.

I did need to use a grinder to sharpen the point but that is typical maintenance for a hammer of this type.

Meh. Waste of money here in Indiana. My fault not yours. Plastic pans, cheap hammer.

My dad ordered me one of these pans a few years back and I’ve just now started seriously using it. It does tend to flex when you have a big bunch of paydirt in it, but, other than that, it worked like a charm.

They picked where I’m prospecting CLEAN during the Carolina gold rush of the 1830’s and if I (who is a poorly skilled prospector at best) can find gold in a place like this with this pan, ANYONE CAN!, It’s the best gold pan I’ve ever used! I would be interested in seeing how well a green-colored version of this pan would work.

My son has started wanting to gold pan in our local stream. so this is perfect for him to try it out. Great quality too.

This has 2 sets of riffles. A set of large ones so you can quickly eliminate a lot of the extraneous material and a set of smaller ones for when you get down to recovering the fine gold. This is a good pan for processing smaller samples very quickly to see if there is any gold.

I highly recommend.

Havent used it yet. The pans are very small, maybe there is a reason for this. Will find out soon

Little difficulty at first recovering fine gold but better with a little practice. Great pan for volume, especially in running water like a creek. Classifier is good too. Snuffer bottle could be upgraded to a larger model.

I really like the pan. Takes quite a bit of practice to get it right. Great gold capture. Reason for only 4 stars, I only wanted the pan, I did not need or want the rest of the kit. Wish you had offered the pan separately for a little less.

Overall I am happy with it.

I captured 3 pieces of lead first time out so I know this product works. Very fast pan!

My kids get excited every time a box is dropped off at our house. They were so excited that this box was for them! We immediately tore into it & they get to excavating. There were a few decent gems that were found, but most of them were these super tiny gems that all looked the same.

My kids didn’t even want to mess with it after they found about 4 of the other pretty gems ( a little larger than a dime ). While they enjoyed sifting through the sand for their “treasure”, the fun only lasted about 8-10 minutes before they were over it & it’s not something that you could go and buy another kit over & over and have the same amount of fun for the kids.

This might make a cute birthday gift for someone, but it is definitely a one & done kinda deal.

My son recently had a birthday party at a dinosaur place and he mined for gems in a cave. This was a perfect extension to that party in that he could mine for gold. It was a little difficult as he’s only 4 but his big brother helped and they had fun together! Very cute idea!.

This is a pretty good little startup gem panning kit. It’s perfect for younger children who like to pick out stones and proudly display them in the gem jar that’s provided. There are plenty of stones to find.

Kids will love it.
