20 Best Gold Weighing Scales (2022 Updated)

I like this kitchen scale’s sleek minimalist design as I have very little storage space in my kitchen. I have resisted purchasing a kitchen scale for that reason. Many of them come with a weighing bowl or other container, and I don’t need that as I have plenty of bowls.

What I need is the ability to easily tare a scale, as I do in my profession as a wildlife biologist, so I can use whatever container I care to. Why buy something you don’t need? And this scale is so thin, less than an inch thick, that I can stand it on end in a cabinet without it taking up too much space, which is a huge plus for me! I also love the fact that it’s rechargeable, rather than using disposable batteries as most of the other digital scales I looked at did.

I honestly would have preferred an analog scale but I couldn’t find any that weren’t big and bulky. So I was happy to find this rechargeable one. We need to start considering the garbage we’re producing.

Why create trash when you don’t need to? A rechargeable battery is a huge thumbs up for me!.

Having had issues with non repeatability and extreme inaccuracy with other brands I’m pleased to find a scales that is actually usable! Pretty quick response to it too and doesn’t hunt around. This will work for my baking needs, salt and such other small quantities like those will need to be measured on a smaller scales.

But that was expected to be the case. I have a small digital balance for that and only that. This scales is very easy to read. And I like that there’s no physical buttons for stuff to get into and jam or otherwise annoy me because there’s no way to get in there and clean.

It’s very very easy to clean. A quick wipe down gets it all! This thing is just all smooooth. The only thing I am taking a star off though already knew going into the purchase is that this is not a. 1 g resolution scales.

It’s per one gram. Not a big deal but should be corrected in listings. I mean it’s right there on the box clear as day that it’s per one gram. Not sure why the listings have it as. 1 but a lot of them do!.

In an effort to restrict the number of net carbs in my daily intake, I searched for days for the best candidate. The Zwilling Enfinigy Digital was the winner of my search. In the short time I have owned it, I feel like I’m the winner.

Two things struck me taking it out of the box. First, it has a solid feel to it. I much prefer this to maybe a scale that’s slightly lighter. Second, it is so logically set up, I knew how to operate it before even looking at the manual.

I did read the English portion thoroughly and it confirmed what I thought I knew. The next thing I did was give it the nickel test. Sure enough, it weighed 5 grams like it should. The scale never wavered like some.

The next thing I did was use a small container and set the scale to zero so I could weigh only peanuts. I wanted exactly 28 grams for my test. I grabbed some and came up short of 28. I grabbed some more and kept going.

I even went over 28 and subtracted peanuts to get back to 28. The scale worked perfectly. This is important as some scales reset to zero if a little time passes leaving you adding new peanuts to your previous reading, or you have to dump all of your peanuts and start over.

I also like it features a rechargable lithium-ion battery using the simple USB cable that came with it. Some brands that otherwise rated highly also burned through batteries like crazy. Finally, I like it has a three-minute shutoff to save energy.

I didn’t time it but it felt like it stayed on a fair amount of time that was probably close to three minutes. Some brands shut down more quickly than that. While that’s good energy savings, it can be too short amount of time if one is multi-tasking and preparing a meal.

I can’t testify to its longevity yet but other reviewers have praised it. I have no reason to believe I will ever need to buy another kitchen scale.

Love love love this scale. Joyfully tossed my old one into the trash. Accurate. Easy to read. Stays on until you shut it off (no ‘energy savings’ turnoff right in the middle of a transaction like my old one).

Don’t have to bend over to read the numbers on the floor — the included tether allows numbers to be read from tabletop level even with the scale on the ground. It was cheap, and shipped quickly, in a small-footprint package.

Easy setup. Opened package and was using for commercial purposes within one minute.

I purchased this scale based upon the reviews. It clearly deserves the high praise that it has received from past reviewers. It is compact, well constructed, and extremely easy to use. The read-out is large, clear, and easy to read.

Both batteries and an electrical adapter are included. Don’t forget that this scale also comes with an impressive 10 year warranty. Will definitely buy one again when this one wears out!.

You can’t go wrong at this price point. It is a great machine and it feels like it should last for years. The only complaint, if I had to think of something, is that the digital display is not legible unless you look at it directly.

Looking at the display from an angle etc you can’t read any of the numbers. I have mine mounted on a wall so I have to walk around the table I weigh on every time I need to record weights. Other than that order it you will be happy with your purchase.

It’s a decent scale. seems reasonably durable, measurements seem accurate, tare/unit features work well, etc. Haven’t had it long enough to comment on battery life. Only have a few small issues. First of all, the surface is smaller than I had expected.

That’s fine for most coffee purposes — my Chemex and French press fit on it just fine, for example — but if you’re looking for a scale you can also use for, say, a dinner plate or a large measuring bowl, you might want to look elsewhere.

A few other reviews have mentioned the loud beeping. and yep, it’s pretty loud. Doesn’t bother me too much, but if excessive beeping is a dealbreaker for you, well, it just might be. Last, the scale tends to shut off after a minute or two with no input.

That can be a little annoying if you have to step away from the scale (to grind more beans, for example. ) It’s fine, you can work around it, but ideally you’d be able to toggle that feature off or change the amount of time before automatic shutoff, or whatever.

So yeah, I don’t regret the purchase, but maybe there’s a better option out there. Maybe not, or maybe not at this price. Hard to say. This one will do.

He did the research on your product, comparing other models from different companies and found yours to be “Top Notch. ” My son, like myself, loves fresh ground coffee, he uses your scale to measure & weigh the beans, for perfect cups of coffee.

Full Disclosure: I work for Prima Coffee. The Jennings is my scale of choice for my morning brew routine at home. This is a great scale for the money if you are wanting something simple and cheap for pour over brews.

The scale has a large weighing area which accommodates most any brewer or server that you want to stick on it and it has a large enough weighing capacity to measure the full weight of the server, brewer, grinds, and water.

Simple to use yet not overly simplistic, there are a couple of nice touches thrown in. The backlight LCD I have found to be really useful, providing enough contrast to easily keep track of the current weight and not susceptible to shadows washing out the display.

Being able to disable the auto-off feature means that I no longer lose track of a long brew midway through the process. While it is great for pour over brewing, don’t expect to be able to use it for espresso.

It only increments in. 5 gram increments which means it is is not precise enough for pulling shots. It also is not going to win any awards in the looks department. Bottom line, if you need a basic scale that works for pour over brewing and you don’t want or need a lot of premium options or just want to save your pennies to invest in other parts of your brewing process, then the Jennings is a great choice.

This is a very well designed multi function, high precision and accurate digital scale. Comes with a well constructed case which secured and protects the scale, plus the included 2 calibration weights, tweezers and weighing pans.

In comparing accuracy to my many expensive pro scales, this very compact scale was spot-on with no drift, measuring grams, carats and more. I will use for travel, and plan to buy several more for my jewelry shop where a pricey scale would offer no advantage.

Total cost is 1/3 the price of a routine maintenance service on one of my bench top scales, so buying a few of these was a no-brainer. RECOMMEND!.

The core weight sensor seems to be effective though the way the sensor is packaged (mostly plastic) could be improved but that would increase the price! For the price this is good value. have calibration weights and those tested well from the 10 mg range to the 50 gram level.

The 1 mg level is not as accurate. Compared to 100-1000 dollar systems this little scale stacks up quite well. Might create a housing/enclosure to improve the weighing interface and bring it into professional analytical scale level.

This is a very nice and accurate small case withe everything you need. I had one previously but left the batteries in for a long time and they leaked. Sensitive enough for gemstones and yet can handle coins, watches, precious metals.

A very nice scale for valuables.

The Taylor 22lb digital scale is great. Easy to use easy to clean and I love that it goes up to 22 lbs. I use this everyday and is great for measuring ingredients but also very convientent for packaging.

The tare feature works perfectly and I love that you can go back and forth gram ounces to grams with the touch of a button while you are weighing.

Since our business has grown, we’ve outgrown the smaller 16# capacity scales. This one works great for large amounts of ingredients and we especially love the option to keep it battery operated. Its also very lightweight so carrying or transporting it is simple!.

I got this so that we would have an easier time of weighing the meat instead of eyeballing it, but no one really uses it. The scale is so small and we want to weigh out ten pounds of cubed meat. I think it would be better if it had a bowl-shaped top instead of a flat-top.

Maybe with a removable bowl, to make it easy to clean. Just an idea.

Like the packaging. Instructions were fairly clear. It is quite a good precision mini digital scale for the price. I recommend it.

Easy to use. Wide range of options. Large capacity. Much better than earlier versions of carat weight digital scales. This was a good find for us.

It’s ok if you don’t need to measure to the mg. The scale is only accurate to 100mg as the smallest weight. Higher weights, like over a gram, work fine.

This scale came not calibrated as much as I would have liked. However after adjusting the screws on the bottom I was able to achieved 99. 98% accuracy. For postage I usually go over just a little but I need to have a fairly close weight.

The scales at the post office get calibrated often I suppose. But I have a calibration weight to make sure. I couldn’t figure out all the negative reviews but if they received the scale and made no adjustments I definitely can understand that perspective.

But if you want better accuracy I would not get a digital scale online due to bad shipping practices. The company I purchase this from was horrible with shipping. If you need a precise scale on a small size , do yourself a favor get up and spend a some money a buy a higher end scale.

That’s right get up get in the car and drive some where that sells high quality scales. But for this price and mail weighing your good.

Accurate to hundredths place. Doesn’t drift much. Turns off automatically after a few min if you forget to turn it off. I bought this scale because it uses aaa batteries. They are more widely available than flat watch batteries.

The scale is accurate and I haven’t had to replace the batteries yet and it’s been at least 6 months. I also haven’t needed to calibrate it.

I couldn’t be happier with this scale. Walmart out did themselves w/ this seller. All the features of way more expensive ones! Ease of use with instructions that come is beyond compare. I’m not in habit of reviewing stuff unless I get a heck of a deal or get burned by inferior marketers.

Was looking for a set of scales for weighing air gun pellets without too much expense. As it turns out, these scales also have a unit for grain, so no maths required to convert from grams. Tried out and although not calculating to 10ths or 100ths of grain, (8.

1gr shows 8) it’s good enough for what I need. The backlight can be switched off, (my eyesight prefers it on) batches of 25,50,75 or 100 can be weighed and if needed, it can be recalibrated. Nice compact size as well.

As a Diabetic I wanted a scales I could carry around easily to weigh particular types of food when Travelling, but also when at home. These Scales are light, accurate and having a small footprint (about the size of a small mobile phone) slips easily into your pocket to use any time its needed.

Despite its low cost it feels sturdy and has a nice protective clear cover and a pleasing blue display which is very easy on the eyes. Whilst I only need it to weigh items in grams, it also offers many other weight types as it is really for weighing Gold, Silver etc.

If you want a small but accurate weighing scales you can fit easily into your pocket, you couldn’t do better than to purchase one of these little beauties at a very good price. Well recommended!!.

Had one before. This is my second one – exactly the same. They’re quite durable and long-lasting. Not so good as chew-toys, especially with curious labradors. I got mine with 500 grams limit, which is ideal for my needs, mostly to do with herbal stuff and homemade teas.

Batteries last for a long time and I never had any problems with accuracy or buttons falling out. I’d gladly recommend anything that does its job and doesn’t break down after a year as most stuff does nowadays.

I was really hoping this would work well for the price but it is garbage. The battery case doesn’t close all the way so it’s always a pain to get it to even turn on. It did not come with directions so I can never get it to sit at zero because I don’t know how to reset it.

Most of the time it sits with a negative number. It’s going in the trash because I can’t find my receipt and I tossed the box. What a waste of money.

Scan looks great. The layout isn’t great if you are setting plates on it because if obscures the readout. The tar functions isn’t perfect because the weight of pressing on the button confuses it and it doesn’t go to zero.

When I first got this scale it worked well. A few months later I noticed it was giving inaccurate weights. I changed the batteries, made sure it was on a flat, even surface. Still off. I finally had to just replace it.

With this product, you get what you pay for. Cheap.

We bought this scale to be able to primarily measure puppy food efficiently and accurately. It’s nice that this measures in grams, as the food weight is easier to determine that way versus 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons or whatnot.

This scale will also serve quick measuring purposes in the kitchen for our own needs when accurate, specific measurement matter (rather than just eyeballing). I could see how this scale would also be beneficial if you make your own baby food.

It also looks great! Modern, sleek, and doesn’t take up too much space. Also LOVE that you can recharge it by plugging in. Love love love.

Beautiful design, sleek, easy to clean. Functionally easy to use with two options to use tare. 1. Place item on scale, turn unit on and automatically reads zero. 2. Turn unit on place bowl on scale and tap power button and the unit zeroes out.

I have ordered 2 sets of other brand scales and returned both of them because they were not calibrated. These were recommended by a friend and worked right out of the box. Highly recommend and an invaluable tool.

it is compact, and can be carried in your pocket. easy to recalibrate if needed, and a 50g weight is included for that. great for measuring small amounts, like 10th of a gram of yeast. reads out the first small portion you put into the container, as is opposed to most kitchen type scale that do not read until after 2 or 3 grams, and then do not read out portions of a gram.

it is also a count scale, so if you weigh one little thing, it can tell you how many same things you then put into the container. the 50 g max weight could be limiting, but the company makes larger capacity versions of this.

Product came broken, wasn’t working at all. Terrible quality! After a few messages I was told I was going to get a new one. I bought this product on February and now is May and I still don’t have the replacement.

This scale is accurate, compact, streamlined and has no moving parts. Its easy to clean and has a nice, rose gold finish. Its easy to use, but sometimes a little tricky to turn off. I would appreciate a battery level indicator.

This weighs 4 lbs less than my old Health-o-meter scale, which was pretty accurate. I don’t know if there’s a way to recalibrate it. But unlike most scales, it’s large enough for my husband to step on with shoes on, and I love the large numbers.

It also doesn’t beep and scare our dog or alert others that you are weighing yourself :P. I like the color too — it blends in with our tan floors.

This scale is a work of art. Slim and beautiful. Easy to use right out of the box. Unwrap it and it works. A pleasure to look at and satisfying to use. Highly recommend.

From the first time we took it out of the box and tried it, it did not turn on when “tapped”. We tried several times and it finally popped on. It seemed accurate. 1 week later it doesn’t work. I have a similar type scale that has worked perfectly for 20+ years, no batteries changed, etc.

I don’t think this is worth the price when it doesn’t consistently work.

Quality fence. It’s much stiffer and has a very deep face on the guide so is more accurate. It’s far better than every other make I’ve ever used. I’ve been using it for ripping cedar into strips and the edges are very straight.

Not used the circle guide yet but its well engineered with no play in the centre pin. It’s made a brilliant jigsaw even better!.

Good guide. Nice and strong. Make sure you have bolts to clamp to your jigsaw (The sizes vary). One supplied didn’t fit mine. Circle cutter is very handy.

As with the other reviews, well made using thick steel. The ball and pin that comes with it are for cutting circles, handy if you want to make speaker enclosures or similar. Bargain price too.

Terrible. I asked for a refund from Asda and was declined! When these do not work whatsoever. Zero accuracy!!!!!! They tell you, you weigh 8 stone then you get on again and it’s 15 stone then 10 stone then 11, it’s just ridiculous.

There’s no way of knowing what you weigh. And I needed these to help with gym! And I have been weighed so I know what my weight should be near, but I have lost weight, so it’s really frustrating to pay for something that doesn’t work! Especially with the cost of living going up.

It’s ridiculous I’m so angry.

I bought the rose gold glittery bathroom scales directly from the Salter UK website. They are easy to use and show an accurate weight reading quicker than my previous pair (not made by Salter). They are beautiful and sparkly, so pretty and girly, and also easy to clean.

The picture on the website makes it look like they are more than 1 tone so I wondered if they would be ombre or half-and-half with 2 different tones but they are 1 rose gold glittery colour. I would recommend this product because it looks good, it feels sturdy, it’s cheap and comes with a 15 year guarantee which I feel makes it excellent value for money.

However, I didn’t realise they already come with the add-on feet for use on carpet, so I bought a set and now have too many. Delivery took a bit longer than expected, but it was during the covid19 lockdown period before the non-essential shops had re-opened so I don’t find that unacceptable.

Very slim and smart. Large numbers make it easy to read. Instant weighing, no need to prime before stepping on. A small niggle is, as I keep it on its end, the little button which changes the display between kg, lbs and stones is easily caught, however this would not be a problem if its kept in one position.

My last Salter bathroom scales lasted ~20 years, hoping these will too.

It’s a very good scale for weighting the product. It didn’t last long. The on/off switch broke and won’t stay on. The scale is still relatively brand new. Just disappointment on the quality of the scale and short warranty already ran out.

Stury easy to use. Has different modes so you don’t have to calculate any conversions. It has decent weigh capacity the only downside for us is that it’s not portable

I had been eyeing this well-reviewed, wallet-friendly scale for awhile (was trying to decide between it and one of the much more expensive scales available from Prima) and then unexpectedly received it as a gift.

I have mixed feelings about it. It is large and bulky, not terribly attractive. But my issue is mostly with the accuracy. Unfortunately, I don’t have another scale or any weights to test it but I can tell you that in my experience using it the readings seem to fluctuate.

For example, I will sometimes go to weigh out my grounds, wait for the reading to settle, then wait a few more seconds just to make sure it registers, and then as I move onto other steps in the brewing process (not touching the scale) I will notice it either going up or down in weight.

Also, if I brew on the scale and tare after my dripper is all set up, then pour my grounds in, the reading is different than when I weighed just the grounds (taring after I set the measuring cup on the scale, before I put the grounds in) And if I happen to accidentally bump it, it goes crazy and shows me crazy weights – which is inconvenient, because I have bumped it in the midst of weighing grounds and then had to pour the grounds out, and then back in again, more than once.

The good: I like that you can use batteries or plug it in and that you can easily adjust the unit of measurement (grams, ounces, pounds, pcs function) Overall, I think that it is a decent scale (assuming the weights are accurate.

) but I personally would prefer the extra functionality of the other scale I was contemplating, as well as the thoughtful design.
