20 Best Golf Arm Sleeves (2022 Updated)

I’m going to come out and make no sense to most people who buy this product. these remind me of the comfort of a weighted blanket. It may just be me, but wearing these just makes my arms feel comfortable.

It’s just that easy. And it’s just that simple to me. The feel is great. Neither the wrist area, nor the upper arm area feel restricted. The sleeves are not overbearingly tight, as I did have my suspicions.

I use them frequently while I do everyday chores and tasks. That’s my main use, but I have used them while working out. I have also used them while completing labor intensive tasks at work and at home.

And during each of these, I have found no particular issue in regards to their performance or comfort. A very nice product indeed.

McDavid Sport – McDavid Sport Compression Arm Sleeves Pair is a pretty cool product. I was a little Leary at first, and McDavid proved me wrong. I use it when splitting wood, and my arm would always get sore and stiff.

But the sleeve definitely helps cut down on the wear and tear. It also help with my arthritis in my shoulder, it seams to cushion the blow. It’s a well made good quality material, that doesn’t hinder your movement, and it stays in place.

It doesn’t roll down your arm, a really good fit. And it washes well. Very happy with the sleeve, all in all great product.

These compression sleeves are a must-have for any sport that requires frequent arm movement (basically every sport). I’m a distance runner and weekly can run 50-60 miles. Because of the rapid movement of my arms they oftentimes go numb.

When I tried these compression sleeves out they work immediately. They have a snug fit that keeps your muscles from your wrist > beneath your armpit incredibly compressed. The material is thick but it breaths great.

There is no other brand better than McDavid! I highly recommend these.

Rode my Harley 1,000 miles one way to Sturgis over two days in the blazing sun and 90+ degrees. Without sunscreen on my arms. No problem for the Sun Sleeves. Then rode home and still no burn with the Sun Sleeves.

Yes I got warm when we stopped, but not too bad and when we got going again, the wicking effect cooled me down immediately. I really liked the reinforced rubber cuffs that kept them from sliding down my arm.

And fit great so no material flapping in the breeze. Really great quality. Next test is a three-day fishing trip in the Gulf! No question these were a great choice. I would send a photo of the burn on my hand but it faded already.

I got these compression sleeves mainly to keep the sun from tanning my left arm while driving during the summer when I wear short sleeves. I am very impressed with the high quality of the fabric and the stitching.

It is quite thick, making it likely that sun protection would be excellent if it is indeed UPF50+. Unfortunately, I got S/M based on arm size forgetting that this is supposed to be compressing. While it fit me fine, I should actually have a very loose fit.

Next time, I will order two sizes bigger, an XL. Compression may be fine if I play sports, but I am way too old for that.

These fit me really well and are the third pair I’ve purchased. The black pair is maybe not as cool as the white pairs are, but much cooler than bare arms without sunscreen and much less skin-irritating than sunscreen.

I’m 6’ 175 with average/muscular arms and the m/l fits properly. Just estimating, but I’d say they hold up to washing and wearing for about 50 rounds of golf plus 20 5-mile runs. Seem pretty durable to me.

These sleeves are great not only to protect your skin from UV rays, but also to keep you really cool when you keep them wet. If you think about it, the skin on your arms totals quite a few square inches, so the wet sleeves keep a lot of your body cool.

I have an arm nerve condition, and keeping my arms covered when I’m golfing in the Texas sun greatly reduces the itching and pain I would otherwise experience. I am female, so I get either the extra small or small, depending on price.

After use, I just spray them with a pre-wash, then either hand or machine wash and dry in the sun. They’re not terribly fashionable, but necessary for the sun and heat. I tried some other brand; they were very light and comfortable, but they repelled the water, so they weren’t good for cooling.

I wear the Sparms brand shoulder wrap EVERY time I play golf. They are so comfortable and the sleeves never slide down my arms or creep up from my wrists like other brands of sleeves. It’s amazing how cool they keep me feeling when wearing them in the summer sun and heat.

I watch other players sweating and they ask me “how are you not sweating”? I tell them “wear them once and you will see why” In the cooler weather they help keep me warmer than just a long sleeve shirt.

Comfortable, durable and breathable. I wouldn’t play with them.

Great sun protection. Nice, soft material. Buy a size larger than you think and it should fit OK. If I wet it down before wearing it there’s a really nice cooling effect for 30-60 minutes (depending on temp, humidity, if I’m in sun/shade, etc).

I like to wear it as a shrug OVER my tank top so I can easily take it off and re-wet it. I don’t love having the logo on the wrist or the fact that you can see the logo/size at the inside back from the outside of the shrug (since I wear it as a shrug OVER my tank top) but I will be buying more!.

I love this product it is the second one I have bought. The first one was a nude color this one is white. I tend to be in-between sizes the first one was a large and a bit too big. The white one is a medium fits much better in the arms but is a bit snug under the arm pits.

I love not having to wear sunscreen! The best part is they are not hot. I will probably always wear this brand. The material is very soft!.

It stays in place for the entire round, unlike some others I have that slip down. It’s comfortable, too.

These arm sleeves are really great to use instead of sunscreen. I keep several in my golf bag.

Suffering from shingles, my arm was super sensitive to the slightest touch from clothing, bed sheets, the wind and so on, that I found myself constantly bandaging my arm. I thought I would try the sun sleeve as an alternative and have been extremely happy with it.

It is firm but not tight, stays up and is soft and cool on the skin. The extra bonus is the SPF 50 will protect my arm from the sun. A great find for my situation. I imagine this sleeve would be useful for protecting other skin irritations.

I work in Landscape Construction and spend many hours out in the sun. I always forget to put sunscreen on, so when I saw these sleeves I thought I would give them a try. They are super easy to put on and fit very snug.

once they’re on you forget they are there until you get home. They also have a great cooling effect, if you’re feeling hot, just wet them down and it feels great. I originally only bought 1 pair to test them out, but I now own 5 pairs.

That’s a clean pair for every day of work out in the sun. I actually love em.

I wear these daily for my work, it works very well. It keeps my arm cool and less sweaty when I am working under the sun. However, I need to wear hi vis vest at work, which has velcro on it. The sleeves will stick to the velcro and get pill all over.

Be careful!! I immediately go to buy a hi vis vest with zip instead of velcro. Anyways, it is great. I would recommend the sleeves to protect you from the sun.

These Performance Sun Sleeves are very easy and quick to slip on and can be ready for the round at once. I love that it includes a padded engineering of added thicker material around the elbow like the socks- that was brilliant! I also like that it has a nice “FJ” Mark of a Player stamp on the wrist.

With these sleeves, it can either add onto or eliminate the sunscreen application all together. I didn’t have to apply any sunscreen with these on. I am very happy and I think this product is great! Yesterday in the bright sunny afternoon round up here in the high desert, I felt very comfortable as my arms were protected.

My skin felt nice and unstressed from direct sunlight- it felt smooth after more than 36 holes under the hot sun. In addition, I think this product will also add warmth as we approach the cooler season.

The band around the wrist and arm is a good idea- it held the sleeves up all day with only one time readjustment to pull them back up- but I was on the course pretty much all day 🙂 Wishfully thinking: (1) I’d like to see them with a flat and thicker band- maybe 2 inch width on the wrist more so for its looks & style- sometimes I feel like tugging or pulling them up a little during play.

Besides, it’s the upper arm that we need to stay up anyway. There’s also a type of material that hugs the skin to prevent slippage that could be added so the band doesn’t have to be very tight- ‘wish I knew what it’s called.

(2) I would love to see them in different colors. (possibly in Light Blue Smooth 430 from the MyJoys leather, Heather Lime from the Cowl Neck Pullover Hoodie and/or the bright yellow from Engineered End on End Lisle Stripe Self Collar-Previous Season style.

or any other plain base color would be nice). (3) Also, the sleeves doesn’t have to be skin tight between the wrist and the arm- although it shouldn’t be loose either, it should give more skin comfort that way.

Item needs to be provided in various sizes. I’m of average height and build and the sleeves are really tight fitting. I bought them for a sun screen not a compression garment. They don’t restrict your swing but since they are tight you always feel they are there.

For anyone of bigger build then me they would be way too tight. If you require a compression garment they are O. K. but if you are primarily using them for a sun screen look elsewhere and save 1/2 to 2/3 the cost.

Just received my arm sleeves. They fit and look great. I have another set of generic arm sleeves. They do not have the gripping features like these sleeves or the logo which increases visibility. I plan to wear while cycling and can see the benefit of use for any outdoor activity.

Lightweight to tuck into my back pockets if necessary. Not a fan of visible logo at top of sleeve? It easily can be covered by your jersey Please take the time to measure your arms to get the correct size.

I have multiple pairs of this product. In ordering the same “style” number, I find that the calendar year 2021 version fits more accurately than the 2022 year version of this same product. The 2022 version is a size smaller.

Thus instead of ordering a size “medium” this 2022 year, I ordered a size “large” based upon other reviews that stated that the current year product (2022) runs small. As such, the new arm warmers in size “large” fit and appear to be of the same size as my 2021 year version in size “medium”.

LOVE these! I originally bought them for biking because I’m more pale skinned and I was tired of slathering sunscreen all over myself for long rides, but I’ve started using them for lots of other things too (golf, hiking, etc.

). They do really well with sweat-wicking, they also can provide a bit of warmth on a cooler outdoor bike ride, and they are super lightweight. If I had to nitpick, it sometimes takes me a few adjustments to get the tight part comfortable around my upper arm, but when it’s locked in, you don’t even notice it.

Your summer cycling kit must-have, which will proctect your skin from sunburn as they offer UPF 50+ UV protection. They also look great and fit well. It’s like a second skin but better; elastane fabric wicks away moisture easily.

The double-sided silicone elastic keeps them in place, so you forget you have them on. I don’t leave the house without them when going cycling in summer months.

Have worn these constantly since buying them on all day rides in scorching heat and they worked a treat. Despite being an additional layer I felt cooler without the heat of the sun on my skin and nice to know my skin was protected from the suns rays too so win win.

Saves putting on sticky suncream which just attracts the dirt. I have worn them mainly off road on dusty tracks and despite buying white they have come up clean in the wash so far though black might be more practical long term I guess.

Sizing was accurate. I am so happy with them that Ive just bought the leg sleeves as well to wear on scorching hot days.

I’d say it met all expectations. They aren’t cheap, but made in Italy is good for likely better labour conditions and less environmental damage. They do save your skin. You may get some lines on the skin where there is a wrinkle.

The white one definitely takes dirt like something white would, so keep that in mind.

This is the second time we’ve purchased these sleeves: first, in 2020 prior to size changes; second, this current sizing. From experience, we purchased XXL from the get go, which now fit the standard 11″ bicep but, is still a tight, tight fit for biceps larger.

The sizing of the XXL proportions also need work. If the band fits the bicep for our crews, the arm is much too large, therefore, the extra material moves around as they work. This also contributes to slippage, which is far from ideal.

If these sleeves were meant to be worn lower on the bicep, fine, then make the sleeve shorter. If they are meant to be worn halfway on the bicep where typical short-sleeved shirts cut off, then make the sleeves larger on the bicep side.

This was my second pair and I’ll continue to get more. I work outside in the Florida sun 5 days a week. They keep the sun off my skin and keep me from overheating. Depending on your needs, these sleeves are definitely worth it.

My sis has an Ergodyne cooling vest, and she loves it! I sent her the cooling sleeves in hopes they would work as well as the vest. I’m happy to report that she ‘loves’ them and uses them every day. She runs heavy equipment in the desert in Nevada, so that’s a good testing ground.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This product seems to far to be a quality product! I am very pleased with it so far. The color will match just about anything you could wear and very moderate.

It is a very smooth and stretchable material that fits snugly around your arms, I could feel it start to cool my arm as soon as I put it on which I thought was really cool. I will definitely be wearing these as the summer continues as I am outdoors quite a bit.

Overall I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to others in search of a similar item!.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I am a smaller person and I thought these one-size fits all sleeves wouldn’t necessarily stay on but so far they do. I’ve tried it while running and doing weight exercises.

I don’t play football or high contact sports so I am not sure if they stay on in those situations. If you had large enough arms, they would be tighter and should stay up. The material is soft and comfortable.

It’s thick enough to shield from the sun from uva and uvb rays.

I ordered the man’s biggest size, well, it might fit a scrawny 14 years old. The fabric is wonderful though, silky and super cooling. The size is just ridiculous, too bad, twice as large would still be thight.

Will only work if you have no bicep, at all, really.

Why no! No I’m not! I don’t know how you do it, but the way the sleeves stay cool is super cool. I have been very impressed with how comfortable the sleeves are to wear and how easy they are to take care of.

I believe I will be buying a full shirt next.

Disappointing product from UA as I own a couple of other products from this company that I am pleased with. The compression on these sleeves is not progressive and is weak. It is made from non breathable fabric that will assist you in perspiring more during your workout.

If you are after such a product look for a progressive knitted sleeve which gives you appropriate compression along your arm and the fabric “breathes”. A good sleeve product will provide a size chart listing wrist, forearm and bicep measurement.

Great purchase. Looking forward to using them more often after covid. Really comfortable. Doesn’t slip down my arm when playing. Good amount of stretch.

Smooth, cooling, comfortable and it works, all that any could ask for. I’ve used others and this is far superior to any other. I drive all day long and these sleeves keep my arms cool and free from sun burn.

They are a bit pricey, but worth every penny. Under Armour has lived up to all the hype. I highly recommend these over any others.

I was skeptical at first. My skin is very sensitive and a lot of fabrics irritate it and I cannot wear them. I usually can not even tolerate long sleeves on my arms. I use a 70+ sun block and as I live in florida and have an outdoor pool , I spend a lot of time in the sun.

Sunblock can be sticky and sometimes even the sunblock irritate my skin. Nevertheless, inevitably the sunblock washes or wears off and I get burned anyway. My doctor has warned me of the dangers of sun exposure as I have very fair skin , vitiligo and am on a medication that has sun sensitivity as a side effect.

Well, to finally get to the point, when the sleeves I ordered arrived and I put them on…it was love at first fit. They fit perfect, they are soft as kitten fur and I truly can not tell that I have them on.

In the water or out. They DO NOT make my arms hotter ( how ever did you do that! ). My only wish is that you made a full body suit! I plan on buying a second pair of sleeves. You have a customer for life and a huge fan!.

I really LOVE these bamboo sun sleeves. Very good quality, comfortable to wear, and most importantly. Protection!! When the heat rises, in the southwest, so does my need to protect my skin from itchy blisters, caused by sun.

My arms are most vulnerable, so having sunsleeves, for short sleeve days, is way more convenient than carrying around spray or creme sunblock. I love these sunsleeves so much, I just purchased a second pair!.

Amazing to not deal with the sensory issues of constantly applying sunscreen on arms while outdoors or driving. Haven’t noticed any sunburn after removing these and I burn easily, definitely recommend.

The fit is great, only gets a bit tight on upper arms if I try to pull it up all the way which with most t-shirts is not necessary. I also love that these are made of bamboo fiber instead of synthetics!.

This is my second pair.. HOWEVER the first pair came with a small pouch to store them in while in your golf bag.. Did NIKE get cheap and wants to sell more when you miss places one?

Very useful sleeves. They’ll protect me from the sun.

I live in Memphis, TN, so summers are exceedingly warm and humid. As someone in their mid-40s who has had a few basal cell spots I’ve been more attuned to sun protection. I noticed the local golf professional consistently wore sleeves, so I asked about them.

He has multiple sets and raved about them, so I researched sun sleeves. SParms rose to the top with its widespread use on the LPGA and PGA tours. Among “brand names” these were the best priced and best reviewed.

There are less expensive options, however do your due diligence and double check the product composition. Many bargain options are 100% polyester and do not provide the cooling and sun protection offered by these SParms sleeves.

I’ve used these twice since receiving them. Temperatures were mid-90s with heat indexes near or above 110. Mentally, this alone provided a resistance to sleeves. I was pleasantly surprised by the “cooling” effect.

I thought that was simply going to be a marketing pitch, but they genuinely provided a cooler feel to my arms. Three bonuses: 1) the sleeves didn’t acquire a smell like many 100% polyester alternatives and 2) the sleeves stayed in place throughout my rounds and I didn’t have to worry about them sliding around.

3) wearing the sleeves allowed me to avoid slathering sun screen or spray all over my arms and hands. Last, regarding sizing, do yourself a favor and follow the sizing guide provided before ordering.

They have you measure your bicep relaxed and flexed and compare to their size chart. Very simple, but very helpful.

This is a comfortable arm covering for sun protection. Bolero style means the arms don’t slide down. It is cut quite high on the arms so a sliver of skin is exposed between a sleeveless top and the bolero arms.

Comfortable in very high humidity and 35 C heat. Extremely fast delivery!.

I have a pair of these types of sleeves from another manufacturer. These sleeves are a bit different in that they are more comfortable to wear over a longer period of time. They fit tight enough to stay put, but not so tight as to be uncomfortable.

They are good for sun protection and in the cooler days they act as warmers in the early morning hours.

I couldn’t believe the chilling effect these had on the parts of my arms they covered in the open cloudless sun filled sky with no wind. As soon as a little sweat hit the omni freeze pattern on the inside of these sleeves, there was unbelievable instant cooling happening.

It was almost as if I had an air conditioner just over the part covered by these. I would buy an entire body suit with this inside for summer wear. They do have a drawback as they run a bit small. I could not dock a star based on how effective they were for me though.

I think Columbia should consider breaking the sizes down and making a small, medium, large, x large and maybe xx large for people with really big arms. If I was the size I was when I lifted everyday, these L/XL wouldn’t have gone over my forearms much less onto my bicep/tricep any whatsoever.

Making each size individually would allow a greater range of size and also a much larger size for those who need it. If you can fit, you wouldn’t regret purchasing these as I’ve not ever worn anything that has this kind of cooling with no wind blowing at all.

When the wind did blow a little, the cooling effect went to chilling as it greatly enhanced the already very pleasant feeling.

When the sun beats down along the trail, these arm sleeves keep me cool and protect my arms from sun damage. They allow me to wear a short-sleeved top for comfort without sacrificing protection from the intense mountain sun.

The cooling effect makes my hikes more comfortable, too. The effects sun anytime of the year can cause irreparable damage not protected. These Freezer Zero Arm Sleeves give you more options to protect and cool.

I own two pairs of the Columbia Freezer Zero Arm Sleeve, one in white and another in stone blue. I’m 5’8″ 140LB and a slender toned build, but the L/XL fits me well. I tried the S/M and it was extremely tight (fits my 5’2″ GF).

The L/XL seemed snug at first but once installed felt comfortable, providing excellent support and compression of arm muscles. I bought these sleeves for playing classical guitar while wearing short sleeved shirts.

Yes, that may seem odd, but the compression relaxes my muscles and allows my right arm (the picking hand) to freely slide around and change tone, execute harmonics, etc. , without my sweaty skin sticking to the guitar.

And the secondary benefit is the Freezer Zero Arm Sleeve is noticeably cooler at gigs–I sweat profusely–than my Nike and Phiten sleeves. I auditioned the Freezer Zero Arm Sleeve for sun protection while involved in mellow outdoor activities such as photography, hiking and biking.

I live in the tropics so the sun is brutal and can burn through my tee-shirt in 20 minutes. The Columbia sleeves kept my arms a burn-free milky white! I noticed cooling the most when riding my bike. With one arm bare and the other decked out in a Freezer Zero Arm Sleeve, the sleeved arm felt like AC was blowing directly on it! The bare arm was, well, very warm.

The combination of sweat and moving air maximizes cooling. The Freezer Zero Arm Sleeve is a very good product: nice compression, noticeable cooling, excellent sun protection and perfect for guitar playing and outdoor activities in heat and sun.

I’d rather the sleeves were plain and didn’t have a huge “Columbia” written along the length. Wish there were more color choices. Black, while not great in the sun, would be my first choice for stage use.

My first time wearing sun sleeves. I need to wear them since I have been diagnosed with skin cancer. I thought they would be too hot, but I was wrong. Actually, it seems the sleeves cool the arms by keeping the hot sun off them and once they get wet from sweat, any breeze cools the arms and helps cool the entire body.

I will be getting the gray pair to compliment the white ones I purchased.

The S/M is maybe for children or teens bc it’s really small. I’m a woman who wears a size 8-10 shirt and bought these bc no one makes them for women except “one size fits all” which never fits me. But this S/M only stretches to about 11″ around the bicep!.

This helps keep the sun from scorching my arms. Plus, you save your arms from getting covered in sunscreen. The grey color looks good. Sleeves are a little unusual to wear but after a couple holes I was completely used to them.

The arm sleeves delivered as promised by shielding me from the sun’s rays and keeping me cool while in the heat. This is a lot more effective than lathering up several times throughout the round. No grease, no mess, just effective.

Considering that they were a lot less than other brands and had a SPF of 50, it was a no brainer to try them out. Glad I did. They are comfortable and I have worn them twice already with no issues.
