I bought this as a replacement/upgrade from a ten year old wired Logitech headset whose cord had been tripped over so many times it had become painful to my Discord communities with frequent bursts of static, This HyperX – Cloud II Wireless 7.

1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset has to be the most comfortable headset I’ve ever worn. I can go for hours without any discomfort. The battery easily lasts the claimed 30 hours as I charge it like every third day.

Even should the battery run out the headset works just fine while it is charging, Wireless is a game changer. I can head to the kitchen or anywhere in the house and not miss the conversation. The price was a bit more than I intended to spend, but after a few weeks of use I am convinced it was well worth the price though I did purchase it on a sale for $129.

99, The normal MSRP is a bit more. I recommend it still though getting it on sale is a plus. My only complaint is that the black on black of the wired version of this product is unavailable in wireless.

The wireless version only comes in red/black, which while it looks fine would not be my preference were the original colors available.

I bought these as a present for my son to use with his Samsung phone, but with only a USB-C plug on his phone, he would have to use an adapter when taking work phone calls. They are also wireless, not bluetooth, so he wouldn’t be able to connect to other bluetooth-enabled devices.

These were show-stoppers, so I took them back. These are really meant for gamers and connecting directly to a computer or laptop. I had to give an overall rating and the 3 stars mean nothing other than I had to give them some rating in order to write this review.

I learned to be more careful with wireless vs. bluetooth. These might be very good for their intended use, I just can’t comment on that. The only reason I’m saying I don’t recommend them is, again, I had to pick something, and I don’t want to mislead others by saying they are either good or bad for gaming.

They were not good for what I needed but that is on me for not being more careful in understanding how to use these before I purchased them. I returned them and bought a pair of Bose QuietComfort 35 IIs.

I was very impressed with the quality and performance of this headset! It’s lightweight and so comfortable that I can wear it for hours at a time without any sort of discomfort. They seem to have very durable construction and I liked the aluminum frame.

The 30 hours of battery life is also incredible. The surround sound was great, and I was thrilled with the precision of the positional audio. The one thing that I am concerned about is the fact that the microphone is detachable.

I can see the possibility of the port getting worn over time. I’m also concerned about misplacing the microphone part and needing to replace it. The microphone also isn’t very adjustable when in use.

I found that it is always slightly in my field of vision, which is a little bit distracting. I would still definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a wireless gaming headset!.

I recently started YouTube and was looking for a good headset, because I was originally using the plain apple headphones that come with your phone and they were hurting my ears. These are so comfortable, and have the perfect sound.

If you are wondering if these will work on pc the answer is yes, as long as you aren’t planning on using the mic. This works out perfect for me since I already have a microphone and was only planning on using the headphones.

I bought these to replace my astro a50s as the mic was starting to not work. You get what you pay for with these. They’re a budget headset with Okay sound quality. They sound like a typical stereo headset given that they lack depth and bass, it seems you have to turn the volume up Loud to hear well with these.

They support windows sonic, which is an attempt at surround sound, but it’s really not that good. Overall, Good starter or budget headset, but I wouldn’t use for competitive gaming.

I have not heard of this brand until now and I don’t understand how! These headphones are high quality at a fraction of the price of some other big name brands. These headphones are large but yet shrink down to fit my small head without any issues.

Just to start off, I do like this headset a lot when compared to my previous wireless headset (BlackShark V2 Pro) and there are some great things about it. First, and definitely the main selling point of this headset, is its incredible battery life.

I read reviews that said it lasted beyond its rated 300 hour battery life and I can confirm it is that good. The sound quality is nice but the EQ presets are a bit lacking with the HyperX software. The build quality is nice but the fit is a bit awkward for my head as I have noticed my ears get a little uncomfortable after some longer use.

Some actually annoying issues I have with this headset come from the audio side of things with some awful clicking sound nearly every time there is a sudden audio transition (i. e. a video stops on youtube or you pause a song).

This is really annoying since it seems to be a general issue with the Cloud Alpha line and not just this wireless version of it. It isn’t a deal breaker for me but I wish it didn’t do this obviously.

Other than that, the only other issue I have is that there is a very subtle amount of white noise I hear when the headset is on but I really only notice it when I turn the headset off and realize that there was actually some static noise.

I do like this headset a lot and I appreciate the wireless consistency compared to my previous headset along with the battery life that’s in a league of its own but it is important to note its flaws.

Despite slightly superior overall audio quality to built-in TV speakers, like the superiority of 3D movies, you don’t even notice the difference after a few minutes. However, I never forget the constant mild pressure around my ears whose impact becomes super obvious once I take the headset off.

Some sounds are more pronounced, but others are a bit muffled, while TV speakers have more of a middle-ground for everything.

2. The maximum sound level on the Nintendo Switch was absolutely pathetic. I have good hearing, and it was just enough to be suitable. This is unacceptable. What are people with impaired hearing supposed to do? At least my TV can blast the audio if I wanted.

3. Even with inferior sound, you still notice the difference of sound all around you from TV speakers over headphones. 4. Music showed almost no noticeable quality difference. It was mostly sound effects prevalent in video games.

I didn’t know what I was missing with a gaming headset, and it turns out, not much. Maybe super expensive headsets offer that “night and day” difference people are talking about, but for a $100 list price for a wired set, I expected better.

I didn’t even test the mic because I have no use for it. I know headsets have always struggled with comfort. It’s just not worth it.

The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless headset is an excellent gaming companion. The battery life really is incredible. I’ve been using it off and on for a little over a week and I have yet to charge it. It arrived with around 90% battery and I’m around 60% now.

Sound quality is what you’d expect from HyperX, similar profile to the wired Cloud Alpha. Punchy bass when you need it and an overall crisp sound. Mic is clear and the mic-monitoring is really great.

Works well on PS5 and PC. I love that you can turn it on and off from the headset itself, sometimes if it’s only software based I encounter more issues. I did notice a couple disconnects when playing on PS5.

All sound cut out and turning the headset on and off did not fix it. I unplugged the USB receiver and plugged it back in, which seemed to fix the issue. This was before an update for the headset and I haven’t experienced that since.

The NGENUITY software is a little glitchy. have to install from the Microsoft Store. I was using an old beta due to some issues with my HyperX keyboard and the headset was not recognized. Restarted and then it seemed to work and update.

Overall, great headset and you can’t complain about battery life. Great knowing it will work without having to charge every other day. Also if you happen to have velour pads from the wired Cloud Alpha, those fit and work on these.

Lose a touch of bass, but reduce some of the heat. Pros: -BATTERY LIFE!!! -Sound -Mic -Fit Cons: -Some quirks with NGENUITY software -No bluetooth or 3. 5mm (knew this going in and doesn’t bother me, but good for some folks to know).

The sound quality, comfort, and obviously the battery life is astounding. Build quality is stellar. Metal frames like this should be standard. My previous plastic headsets all eventually snapped. The Ngenuity software needs work.

Currently, you can’t game with Surround or Equalizer. If you do, you will notice a significant input lag for the headphones. So leave them off for gaming. Additionally, when waking the PC from sleep, the headset will usually have crackling distortion that can only be fixed by replugging the USB.

When doing this, it resets the idle timer. So it goes from “Never” in my case back to 20 minutes. I bought HyperX over Logitech because Logitech unfortunately has terrible software now. HyperX’s software issues are relatively minor but hopefully will get fixed.

Maybe my review will make them go faster?.

Reposting this review because it somehow got taken down. There are several issues that I have with this headset that, in my opinion, make it very inferior to other headsets on the market. I’ll start with the biggest issue which is the sound quality.

If I had to compare it to another headset, I would compare it to a headset that cost roughly half as much from about 10 years ago before I would compare it to one of its competitors. As an example, it’s a little bit better than a razer kraken pro headset that I bought for $40 in 2014, which isn’t saying much since that razer headset is the worst one I’ve ever owned and was basically unusable.

As far as the hyperx headset goes for sound quality, the bass is very weak and both the bass and treble are overshadowed by the mid range sound which makes everything sound very monotone and flat. In addition, the headset is advertised as being surround sound capable, but using windows sonic for headphones yields terrible results and I would say that to call these headphones surround sound capable is a complete lie.

Overall, the sound quality is terrible. My next complaint is also the best thing about this headset, which is the microphone. Overall the microphone is decent, but it tends to pick up background noise a little too often, which isn’t a huge deal but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Another complaint I have is the overall build quality. I have no way of proving it, but based on how the materials feel it really seems like they made this headset with the cheapest materials possible and put some metal around the earcups to give it the illusion of being high quality.

I have never experienced a headset that is as flimsy as this one. Also, the band adjustment doesn’t like to stay in place which is just really annoying. Another thing is that there isn’t a switch or button anywhere on the headset itself to mute the mic which I think is ridiculous.

Where the lack of quality is most evident, however, is in the accessories included with the headset. It comes with 2 felt ear cushions and a usb dongle/extension cord for use with PC. The felt ear cushions are very itchy and uncomfortable and it’s clear that they’re only included for marketing reasons, so that they can say it comes with different types of ear cushions, and they are not intended to actually be used.

The USB dongle includes buttons for changing volume and a mic switch (which is the only way the mic can be muted) and I’m not exaggerating in the slightest when I say that it feels like a very cheap plastic toy.

Each of the 5 buttons takes a different amount of force to press and makes a different sound. My final complaint is not about the headset, but rather with the company itself. Hyperx as a brand is terrible for 2 big reasons.

First, they dump tons of money into advertising for their awful products and pay streamers and esports professionals to briefly use their products as well as do brand deals for the company. There’s a reason why the only people that you see using their products are either new streamers who would be smart to accept any brand deal and bigger streamers who are known to be sellouts.

Their whole ad campaign is meant to market their products as being “good for gaming” but the products themselves have literally zero features that make them fit this description. This type of thing is very common lately and is by every definition a literal scam.

My next complaint of the company is how they handle criticism of their products. They have a lot of customer service representatives that reply to people’s reviews and basically try to invalidate the criticism by asking irrelevant questions.

This is done to make the company seem like it cares about people’s complaints but in reality if they really cared they would use the criticism to improve their products instead of just responding to it and making it seem like they care about what people have to say when they very clearly do not.

If someone from Hyperx is reading this, I suggest that you put more money into improving the products you sell instead of advertising.

I have to preface this that I have owned this headset since 2018. It was worth aroundabout 100 to 120. The thing at the time was a beast. I was moving from a steelseries and I really enjoyed the sound that came out of the drivers.

That goes without saying though that it is pretty much all that they got going for them. The build quality is good (granted I had dropped the headset a couple times while standing up, unbeknownst to me I was stepping on the cord) but it really started to bust up on the second fall.

The plastic brackets that are between the headband and the driver arms started to crack, and now i have broken pieces in my headset. I’ll get some popping in my sound as well. It started to do this to me around a year ago, but I did some tests to see how the popping starts and as it turns out the drivers are getting old and arent able to keep the output that they were able to bust out with no problem.

I decided to see if i could do some DIY repair on the plastic part that was cracked and found that there were 2 tiny little plastic pieces that hold onto the drivers and keeps them aligned. Both of those were cracked.

There were also 3 pins to maintain proper alignment and noticed one of the pins were either missing or melted off! I know though that this is an old headset and that it might have been chipped or clipped off during the fall but the ideaology behind the drivers being held on by that bracket with two tiny pieces just baffles my mind.

I had recently purchased a newer headset from a brand that is well known for their sound quality but is much more expensive. I personally hope and pray that it will be a better quality control than this headset.

Overall, if you want to get into a good heaset that sounds decent and you dont mind the quality of what ive highlighted from this headset, then this would be a decent fit. I am giving this 4 stars given from it’s longevity for the price.

It is rare for a headset to last this long for me, even though I dont abuse my stuff. (Also must mention that the cups that you get the faux leather and the other material, just stick with the leather.

The other material sucks moisture from your ears and will give you a rash after a while).

I’ve had this headset for about a month now – I use it at work where I wear it every day for a full workday, and it’s very comfortable, even with my glasses. I was a little wary of going with a wireless headset, but I’ve gone into another room about 150′ from my desk and still remained connected with no dropouts – I don’t anticipating ever needing more than that.

The audio is clear and loud, and the headset does a very good job of blocking out other noise in the office. The volume wheel is a scroll wheel that controls the computer’s master volume, so no fiddling with computer and headset volume controls separately.

I really like the red LED mute indicator on the end of the mic boom. It’s not distracting, but if I look for it, it is visible in my peripheral vision – and the mute button is raised, while the power button is flush, which helps distinguish them by feel while wearing the headset.

I’ve not yet pushed past two days, but this will happily go two full workdays on a single charge, and recharging is quick. The headset will sleep after a period of time with no connection – such as when I shut my computer down for lunch, so there’s no concern of forgetting to turn it off.

I plug my dongle into a dock on my desktop where I can see it, and there is a clear, but not overly bright red LED glow when it’s connected, and it flashes when the headset is not connected, which can help quickly confirm that it’s paired.

Several other people in my office had this same headset already, and now I know why.

I was looking for a replacement for my Sony headphones which sadly fell apart within an year. My primary requirement was listening to music/taking calls. I went with the reviews on this and thought would give a try.

At first I felt the quality of the sound was ok but no where near what my Sony/ my prior Bose headsets delivered. I also tried the USB amp but it simply boosted the volume and there wasn’t any improvement in Bass.

I was about to return these but thought would give a try with an equalizer. Macbooks do not come with a system wide equalizer (only on Apple Music), So I used the eqmac app and it made a night & day difference.

The sound quality improved tremendously with using an equalizer and though its not as deep as my Sony but I could say its 85-90% there. Given the price difference, I can say I am very pleased with it.

HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset is a great headset, it provides an excellent audio quality especially for gaming. It gives enough noise cancelling for me to not get distracted while playing or for other purposes.

The sound card and speakers are great. The headset is really comfortable and durable as well. When I use it, it doesn’t hurt my ear at all and it fits perfectly for most people because it is adjustable.

I really like how the mic is detachable. Also, I like how there is a baggy provided because I can store the other parts when I’m not using it. I can use it mostly anywhere there is a usb cord or a headphone jack.

It is also easy to carry around since it’s not heavy and not too bulky. According to my friends who I talk to while using the headset, the microphone quality is crystal clear. The one thing I did encounter is that there weren’t too many color choices to pick from.

Sometimes the wire gets in the way, however that is only because it is a wired headset rather than a bluetooth headset. When it comes to pricing, I think that it was decently priced, not too much, not too cheap.

Although there is a problem I noticed, which was the microphone’s structure. I noticed that as I bend the mic, it causes these wrinkles. One thing that stood out to me, is that there is free technical support with a two year warranty which is always helpful if there were to have a problem with the product.

Overall I think that this product is really good and definitely worth the price.

I and my wife have both owned the HyperX Cloud II Pro Wired Gaming Headset for over 4 years. My set was getting worn out (but still worked fine) so I purchased another last month. I started using them and immediately noticed the sound quality of my old set was far better than the new set.

I tried them back to back several times and it seemed like the new pair had no midrange. I even tried the headset using my old audio control box and the one that came with the new headset but it didn’t make a difference.

Thinking I had gotten a lemon, I exchanged them for another pair but got the same results. I am so disappointed because I love the comfort and sound of my original set. It appears that HyperX is no longer a Kingston brand is now owned by HP.

The only visual difference between our 4 year old sets and the new one is that the audio control box on the cord is slightly different (smaller/thinner and and feels a little cheaper). I’m not sure if HP changed the speakers that are being used in the headset or changed something in the audio control box (or both?) but it was a big mistake as they definitely don’t sound as good.

I used to recommend this headset to friends but can no longer do so. Pros: Super comfy, Well built and not cheap feeling. Good microphone. Cons: Sound is average at best. Not the same good sound that they used to have so take any review older than a year with a grain of salt.

Honestly surprised by Hyper X. I had tested out the Steelseries arctis pros and arctis 7s aswell as the Logitec flagship model going for 200$ and they all sounded flat and didnt have much Bass to them.

The logitec did have more bass than steelseries but these Hyper X Cloud Alpha S headphones are Fantastic their mids highs and lows all come in sounding ultra crispy and very well balanced out of the box! The ability to go open back or closed back is fantastic and for a trained ear you can hear the difference.

Most of the reviews on here say they cant hear a difference and it almost made me turn away from them until I tried them myself. If your on the fence and are looking at the 200$ steel series models or logitec flagship models save the extra 70$ and get these.

The 7. 1 virtual works great with windows DTS headphone:X the spacial audio on these are very good for FPS games and the ability to go open back and get more bass has made my music listening experience improve 10 fold.

Im hearing things in music ive never heard before and its almost like listening to a song for the first time. All my gaming buddies say my voice is alot clearer than my previous headset so that tells me the mic is a difinitive upgrade over my previous set, For reference I had hyper x Cloud cores that lasted me about 5 years and they still work but the sound quality was diminishing due to age but I loved them Another thing I have to say about hyper x headphones is the comfortability and durability I dont think I could break a hyper x headset if I wanted to these babies are tough! On the comfortability side nothing beats hyper X if you suffer from headaches from headphones hyper X headphones are the only ones I can sit and game for 8 hours with no pain.

I spent days looking at headphones and im glad I chose these. hyper X has never let me down. Highly reccomend them if a pair of 200$+ headphones is a hard pill to swallow for you.

I hate to say it, but these are just horrible if you care about sound quality at all. When connected through the included USB audio control mixer, the sound is “fine”. Nothing about it is great but nothing is too bad.

yet. I tried to use these on my Dell laptop and while they work in their normal mode, the virtual surround mode just flat out doesn’t work at all. No audio whatsoever. Their instructions are outdated so you have to just kind of mess with things until windows says surround is on.

When plugged into my laptop without the USB mixer things really get bad. The bass is weak, the mids are muddied and the highs are tinny. When I hooked them up to my FiiO DAC/AMP things improved a little.

There was more power and I had a little more room to try to boost the bass more, but it was still pointless. No matter what I did, I just couldn’t get these to sound good. I hooked up my old Oneodio A71 headphones to compare and they sounded world’s better.

What’s sad is those A71’s only cost $30-40. These advertise adjustable bass, but that’s a lie. What you get is a switch on the back of the cups that opens a little port hole, making them work a bit more like open back headphones.

It doesn’t boost the bass, it lets more air move around, thus changing the whole sound profile. I do admit the build quality is solid, though the headphone cable could use another foot to its length in my opinion.

A few years ago I would have recommended HyperX headphones. I loved my Cloud II’s. And maybe those are still good headphones. But I would avoid these like the plague.

I’ve had this for over 2 years now, and it still works like new! Seems pretty reliable, especially for the price. It might’ve actually been more expensive when I bought it two years ago. Microphone doesn’t sound great, honestly could be better.

Doesn’t work very well on Discord but it’s good enough. If you’re an audiophile then this definitely isn’t the headset for you. In my opinion, the max volume of the headphones doesn’t reach high enough when you really want to jam out (unless the max output volume has deteriorated as a result of wear, or my ears have just gotten worse).

And you can’t adjust EQ or anything, but what do you expect from a $30 headset with a 3. 5mm output? Side note: the scroll for the volume behind the right headphone can really come in handy, definitely a nice touch.

This headset is plug and play which is also nice. Overall a decent product, once again good for the money. But if you want a better quality and stronger microphone, as well as stronger and better audio, I’d say save for a better headset.

Theae headsets are amazing for the price point. Sound quality is on the flat side, really close to a monitor headphones with good amount of soundstage to make it easier to detect your surroundings in fps, rpg, etc.

Not a lot of bass, but that’s how I like my headphones so these are perfect for me in that aspect. Microphone is adequate but nothing amazing. For the price it’s fine. These fit my head comfortably and I can play for hours without any issues or discomfort.

The parts that I don’t like are the volume control and the method of muting the headphones. Vol control isn’t great, doesn’t have good controls and it’s on the headphone part, not on the cord where I prefer it to be.

The way you mute the mic is to lift/pivot it up, and when it’s muted it makes a pretty loud clock sound that the others can hear. If the vol control and mic mute buttons were on the line, this headset would have been perfect, especially considering the price point.

I hate to give his a average rating, but I really dislike inline-type wires. Always have bad luck with them. This time, it might be my fault: Built my own PC, project took a few days [2nd time building one, was still a noob].

My inline ports could be at fault, but when I got this headset, I had trouble connecting it, having it work and be detected. Got it to work, was fine for a few days, and then just refused to work, no matter what I did.

Now, on to the good: Great sound for the price, immersive. Almsot too much, had to take it off to talk to anyone nearby. But alone, when you are in the middle of a gaming session, you get enveloped in the experience.

I really liked the sound, and I’m not a sound enthusiast. It’s good stuff. While it didn’t work for my PC, I gave it to a family member who has just gotten their own gaming PC. She has had zero issues since day one, and continues to use them when playing multiplayer games.

If you are like me, and you have trouble with or hate inline style wires, avoid. Otherwise, it was good while it lasted for me, and my donatee is happy with them.

I bought this headset after trying a few new ones out in store, before this I had a Corsair Void RGB set. I have a fairly small head as far as noggins go for an adult male and unfortunately I have a really hard time finding headsets that will fit properly without sagging on my ears or pinching awkwardly on the sides of my head.

This usually leads to extra fatigue and headaches while gaming for long periods of time. This is why I was SUPER excited to find that this headset fit my head and was ultra light when compared to other headsets in the price range.

(If you get neck cramps while gaming try finding a lighter headset! This one weighs about HALF of it’s competitors in some cases. ) Unfortunately the positives I feel are far outweighed by the negatives with this headset.

Even when fully charged I find mine randomly shutting off at times, the battery life is great for about 2-3 weeks after purchase and then takes a SHARP nose dive into oblivion. For reference I work from home and my old Void headset was capable, even after break in period, to offer around 15 or so hours of battery life.

With these, after 6 months of ownership, I find I can barely squeak 5 out. At that point I may as well just use my 2 year old Void set as I’ll expect the same battery life but much better sound quality.

There is a quick mute on the left side above the microphone, however there are no indicators that the headset is actually muted. This is unfortunate for those of us in and out of Discord calls all day where the muting function is useful.

Unless you also have an unusually small head, I would not recommend these for any type of hardcore use. (Twitch streaming, at home working, etc. ).

-The battery life was pretty amazing and that’s needed as they come with an extremely short charging cord. So if you’re in a situation needing to charge them while wearing it’s out of the question without purchasing longer cord.

-This was noticeably the warmest headset I’ve ever had and it only took about an hour to really standout. -When in came to the sound not to be rude however it had the similarity of kids using a cup and a string to talk to each other.

-The removable microphone is good option if your going to be solo gaming. -Earcup RGB “sometimes” comes back turning on the headset even though it was set to off last time. Frustrating as the RGB kills you battery time by a lot.

So with battery life and removeable microphone the highlights for me personally unfortunately this isn’t what I’m looking for. Hopefully in the future HyperX makes cooler earcups (maybe include cloth option) and consider including a longer charging cord.

First off I want to say I do not recommend this headset at all. I bought this for multiple purposes which include gaming and work from home. This headset won’t stay connected to the computer or Xbox.

You have to unplug the usb and plug back in multiple times a day. I tried to delete driver on the pc and reinstall driver but that didn’t work either. USB slots on my computer and xbox are in the back of the devices and such a struggled to do this multiple times a day.

The sound and mic quality is good but it doesn’t make up for this hassle. I’ll be returning this to Best Buy but definitely not worth $159 or for the sale price of $119. For this quality it’s worth no more than 20 bucks.

I hate writing this because I’m a die hard HyperX fan but I’ve always had wired headsets and it appears I may make a return to wired after this experience.

I bought 4 gaming headsets for my Gaming PC in the last 2 days, because all gaming headsets have bad mics. If they don’t malfunction out the box, they’ll malfunction within 1 year. Sure enough, 2/4 headsets had bad mics: the Astro A10, the Stealth 600 Gen 2 Max USB-Xbox.

I returned the Razer Kraken Ultimate 20 mins after I bought it, so I didn’t test its mic and audio for PC gaming. The Hyper Cloud was the only gaming headset that had a great mic for my Gaming PC. The audio isn’t the best, in terms of highest quality, but good enough to play any game.

If you want headphones ideal for getting the best music experience, these aren’t it. But if you want a functioning mic for online PC Gaming, I’d recommend. You don’t have to eat the mic to have good mic volume and the standard mic boost that you’re able to adjust is plenty to ensure regular conversation you speak through your mic registers at nearly 100 percent volume every time.

ALWAYS purchase the 2-year warranty [from Best Buy] when buying a gaming headset, esp. for PC gaming, because the Mics WILL GO BAD within a year.

So I got these because I needed a headset that had a good, clear mic for my PS5 since my Krakens didn’t sound all that great with my voice. This was one of the few headsets that had more good reviews than bad when it came to the mic.

However. Big nope. I tested these out, messing with settings and all that, and there was a terrible echo. No matter what I did. The more I messed with settings and volume and position eventually it just got worse.

They also didn’t feel as comfortable as my Krakens. So, overall, disliked. Mic didn’t work with PS5, bad echo. Weren’t super comfortable. Didn’t feel like the sound was any better than the Krakens. So I returned them.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is that they were mostly white instead of white with enormous touches of blue, green, red, etc. It’s not easy to find JUST WHITE (why is that?). These have a rim of blue around the ear pads but really isn’t that bad.

I’ve had these for a couple weeks now, and so far, the comfort and quality are excellent. They have plenty of battery life for long work and gaming sessions, and stay comfortable the whole time. The pairing process is quick and easy, and being able to remove the mic when unnecessary is great.

Plus, I love that they are wireless charging compatible – I just leave them on my desk and they are fully charged next time I put them on!.

This is by far the most comfortable headset I’ve ever owned. It fits my small head well (many headsets just don’t sit properly and always fall off), but without being too tight so I can wear it for an hour or more without really noticing it’s there.

I love that it’s wireless because my cat has a knack for catching cables as she darts by in critical moments in a game. The battery life so far has been great, I charged it once when I first got it and haven’t needed to plug it in for weeks of casual gaming after work.

The wireless charging feature is super neat, I’m glad I don’t have to worry about keeping track of yet another additional charging cable with all my devices and can set the headset next to my phone on the Qi charging pad I already have.

It does not have the option to use a wired mode, so if that’s important to you this may not be the model for you. I like that the mic is detachable since 90% of the time when I play I am not on voice chat and like using a headset to immerse myself in the world.

Overall I would totally recommend, it has everything I need and the comfort exceeded my expectations.

On ps4 Sound is not good its a hard sound i used astro a50 and turtlebeach 800x elite they both like a sky and when u switch to this its falling down from a sky. they r lighter 7. 1 stereo is useless give u little bit edge but in a end its not worth with that much money i bought this only bc its lighter.

I think all the headset with usb dongle are the same. I recommend if u go for wirless on ps4 go for the one have optical option one otherwise go wired i remember i used to have p28 turtlebeach for 40$ they are wired they sound better than this.

If u r first time buyer u might not knows the difference. very disappointing with those thinking to return it.

Bought this set, it got sent to the wrong address. Best Buy was on the ball with this issue. I got another sent to me. Everything on this unit is very well made, don’t let the weight fool you. I find everything about this product is extremely spot on for what I got.

One down fall, but not a deal breaker. The range isn’t as good as I would have thought. But non the less I am very happy with this unit as well as BestBuys support with the missing first set. I like to play music while gaming and the quality of the sound with in game sound’s is very nice.

Looking for a wireless head set sold by any company. This item as well as well as BestBuy.

Out of all headsets, HyperX has been my favorite with the least amount of issues. This was my first wireless headset purchase and it did not disappoint. Lightweight, long battery life, easy setup and charging.

Great distance/range, I can walk outside to smoke and it still picks up and I’m able to hear and talk. Love the quality and comfort. Fits nicely over my ears and doesn’t get uncomfortable after hours.

Love that when I adjust the volume on the headset it shows up on my PC so I can see what volume it’s at (which might just be a Windows 10 feature, though my wired headset didn’t work this way). Does get very loud and haven’t needed to put it past %50 where as my last headset I had the volume on max.

I’ve had 3 HyperX headsets now, 2 off brands, turtle beach, playstation brand and astro. The only one that compared was the astro but I had issues with it. Really love this one.

Pretty impressed with this. So impressed in fact, that I bought another for one of my kids. They originally used it one their Xbox’s but found it great on their Switches as well. When I say it holds up well to abuse, it does well against my kids falling asleep with it on and rolling on it over and over throughout the night.

Can’t count the number of times I’ve seen them run around the house with it on with the cable snagging on random furniture and no rips or tears in the cable. These headsets fall off of my kids’ beds and onto the floor repeatedly without a sign of damage.

I’ve worked from home for a long time and have had a number of different headsets, none of them cheap. These, I feel, are the best. I use them mostly for making calls from my soft phone, and the audio sounds fantastic.

The people I’m calling tell me my microphone sounds great, too-very clear. I also use them for listening to music or youtube videos, and while you can definitely get better headphones for music, these do all right.

The ear cups are large enough to fit completely over my ears and are really comfortable. I wear them for hours without thinking about it. The only thing that took some getting used to was that they do a pretty good job of sound insulation, which made it so I can’t hear myself well while talking when I’m on phone calls.

It’s really just me not being used to it, but if you’re like me and your old headset ear cups sort of sat on top of your ears, this might require a little, like I said, getting used to. In the beginning I was shouting at people, LOL.

I haven’t run out of a battery charge yet, so I don’t really know how long the battery lasts, real world, but I’ve used them for 4+ hours straight with no battery issues. It’s also nice that you can use them while they’re being charged–my last headset didn’t do that, so I always had to make sure they were charged before going into meetings.

Overall, the quality and fit and finish appear good. In short, yes, these headphones are marketed as being for gaming, but they work very, very well for phone calls, if you’re calling from a computer.

I probabky tried around 6-7 different wireless headsets and this was the best iveeall. As i type i have 4 headsets sitting in my kitchen and im gonna start to return them back to the stores i purchased them from.

Thie was the liudestbheadset and doesnt seem to have many issues with connection. I did have to unplug and plug the dongle back in once, but not a big deal. My inky complaint is that the ear pieces are not very comfortable.

I loved the feel of the Turtle Beach 700 ear pieces, but oddly enough i found when i was eating eith the 700 the ear piecesthe 700 would push my jaw back because they were so thick. No issues with this and the headset is light which i love.

So all the others hwill go back to the store and i am keeping thehyperx.

The main use-case for me is bluetooth wireless to my gaming PC. First issue is that the over-ear cups are actually smaller than the HyperX Cloud II headset, and are uncomfortable after longer periods (over an hour).

Also, bluetooth audio on PC/Windows causes two issues (output and input devices). One is that there are TWO output devices, one that says ‘Hands-free’ and one that says ‘stereo’. Hands-free was enabled by default, and you have to disable that device and choose ‘stereo’ as default otherwise the output sound quality is terrible.

The second issue is the input device (microphone). Its max quality is 16KHz, which, as described by those I was speaking with, was like “an old telephone handset, on speaker, broadcasted through an AM radio”.

It is abysmal. I don’t know if it’s that bad on mobile, but this problem doesn’t exist if you use the audio cable of course. I had to return it.

Im looking for a comfortable gaming headset which can hep me play mobile games and PC games wirelessly, so it leads me to buy this one. I thought I should have go for a Razer black shark V2 Pro when I open the box, but the built quality is over the Razer Black Shark, you actually get what you pay for.

Also, the frequency of this headset make me feel like being in a studio or a theater, and I can bring it to anywhere I like. Last thing, playing FPS games on the PC like CSGO via bluetooth has already been super for me.

However, If you want the sound more crispy or access the EQ, you should use the wire come with the headset. Strongly recommend this one for not only gamers, but also people never buy wireless headsets.

Studio sound quality.

Former Turtle Beach buyer, here. After finally having enough of my Turtle Beach headsets falling apart from being built so poorly, I decided to look for another brand. I was told by others that HyperX headsets are very well-built, so I purchased the Cloud MIX.

It worked very well for 2 months. However, the microphone on my end began to mess up. There’s a non-stop clicking noise on my end that I can’t stop no matter what. It was diagnosed by my friend that said he kept hearing a clicking noise from me.

I couldn’t get rid of it, no matter what I did. I figured it was a result of poor design. I have no idea what happened, but I’m incredibly disappointed in what I got for OVER $200. I have no idea why gaming headsets are built so poorly, but I guess it’s a wake-up call for me not to buy another headset, period.
