20 Best Jump Starter For Motorcycles (2022 Updated)

To say the battery of my wife’s car was flat was an understatement, the car had completely shut down. I called in at Halfords and explained the situation and was given several options to both get the car started short term and to keep the battery maintained long term.

I decided to try the NOCO GB20 500 amp charger as a initial quick fix. I charged the unit up and my initial thought was “ this is never going to work”. On full charge I switched on the unit , pressed the jump start button on the unit.

I pressed the start button and the car started straight away. I unplugged the unit and left the car running while I checked various onboard electrical gadgets but realised the touch screen, heater, radio, parking sensors to name but a few items had all turned off and needed re-setting.

However the small compact jump starter had done its job in starting a car that was completely dead. I would like to thank the staff at Halfords who listened to my waffling and steered me in the right direction to a product that did exactly what they said it would.

They could have recommended a more expensive alternative but helped me to choose wisely and economically. The problem is now resolved from one jump start and encouragement to my wife to use her car more frequently to stop a repeat performance.

My car has been sitting out in the cold and snow for weeks on end without being started. Instead of using a set of jumper cables and another car to get it started all you need to do is charge up the NOCO GB40 in the house open the hood, hook the GB40 short battery cables up to the positive and negative terminals on the battery or in my case hook it up to the connections under the hood that run to the battery in the trunk.

Hit the power button on the GB40 check the charger lights for a proper hook-up and then start the car. The car cranked right over. Hit the power button again on the GB40 to turn it off disconnect the battery cables and your done.

Works Great and buying it from B&H Photo they had them in stock with a good price and fast shipping.

I kept getting a flat battery even though it was only 12 months old so I bought this as it will instantly start the car and it is compact and can be charged from any USB socket. , There was nothing wrong with my car’s charging circuit.

I charged it from a 5V USB Samsung mobile phone charger till only the green LED was on. I started my car no problem. Plugged the Noco back in to charge which took less than 3 minutes to fully charge, and that’s at 5V, impressive! The Noco GB20 feels well built and so far I am very happy and since I bought it, I read it came at No1 in the Parkers Best Portable Battery Chargers.

I found the reason for my flat battery, the boot lid was not fully shut!.

IšverstiShow in original languageUsed it to jump my car, and it worked as promised. It took 3 tries, but on the 3rd try, my car started again and I was so grateful. The kit is very easy to fit in a trunk (only about the size of a large binder).

I followed the instructions provided along with my car’s user manual for the jump, and I am very pleased with how things turned out. Excellent!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought a Antigravity Batteries AG-XP-10-HD Heavy Duty unit that is defective. I charged the unit the night before I used it. I tried jumping a truck and it did not work so I charge the battery for 2 minutes and it started.

To verify it a Snap-on load tester model YA271 was used and it showed below 9 volts. JB Tools has no warranty service on defective parts. Now I need to pay for the shipping to Antigravity Batteries Company.

I just ordered this product last week. I had heard great things about it, and I recently transported a Vespa to my summer home where it will stay since I upgraded to a Honda CB500X a few years ago. Vespas are notorious for battery issues and I’ve had my share over the years.

I also wanted backup for longer road trips on my Honda or just in general if the cars have an issue. The day I received my X3 I had a reason to use it as my Porsche Boxster was in the garage with a dead battery.

The product is extremelly portable – its light and the case holds all the parts necessary to charge my devices or jump start a vehicle. I charged it (about 2 hours) and then hooked it up to the Porsche and hit the power button.

Immediately I heard the radio come on and a few seconds later I had the car started on the first attempt. The Boxster has an interesting issue when it dies, and that is that you can’t get at the battery because the hood lock won’t open manually.

So you have to jump the hood first, which is a really tight little plug in the fuse box down by the clutch pedal. This is where having a small device with a light already attached really pays dividends.

Short summary is that I love the product – its light and easy to transport, and I’ll be using it for any distance travel – car or motorcycle. I may have to get a second to leave out at my summer home.

I highly recommend this product.

Nice product but way too expensive, especially when there are other jump starters out here way cheaper that will do the job at a fraction of the price.

Works fantastic, plenty of power.

I purchased the power supply to assure I could start my motorcycle when touring. The product was small in size and contained all the accessories needed to start a vehicle, and in addition included connectors to charge other items, like my iPhone.

The product build seems of high quality and can display the power available. My motorcycle has not needed an assist as yet, however my car did and I had the power supply in my trunk. The product worked as advertised and easily started the V6 engine.

So high quality product that works as advertised.

I am into my 3rd season with this thing. It has gotten me out of a jamb on numerous occasions. A battery failure on my Shadow. A stuck switch/flat battery on my R1100RT. And last week, with my new(ish) ST1300, three jumps to get me to safety with a dud battery.

(Since replaced, thanks F9!). And numerous recharges of my cell phone in a fix. And headset. Do yourselves a favor. Buy the battery harness. But even without one, get one of these things! It beats a tow.

size is nice and small. Perfect for taking on a motorcycle. Have not been able to use it for starting a vehicle as yet.The built in indicator lights on the clamps are a nice feature.

I love this unit! I take it camping with me and I’m able to inflate my mattress, charge my phone, plug in a light if needed etc. The one complaint I have is the plug on the back used for charging the unit.

You have to us an extension cord for one. The plug prongs that flip up on the back have become “floppy” and won’t stay in place so the unit will not fully charge to 100%. I may have to McGuyver that issue.

Otherwise, a great product!!.

Bought it from Menard’s a year ago. Got it on sale, real cheap. I’ve used every feature except the compressor and it’s performed very well. I read all instructions and it says to use the same prong type as the jumper.

I believe they designed it without a cord so that it doesn’t get in your way. I am well pleased with it.

The Antigravity Micro-Start XP-10 I bought failed on the first use when charging off the USB. You have to deal directly with Antigravity for warranty and their customer service is very slow. It takes 4 days to over a week to get a response.

With all the back and forth it took several weeks before getting approval to return it. I had to return the faulty unit at my expense. I did get a replacement within a week of them receiving the faulty XP-10.

The replacement also failed on the first use, again charging on the USB. Now I am back in the same situation, waiting more than a week for a response on what to do with a second failed XP-10. I will surely have to pay again to send this one back.

Is it also going to fail? Be warned, these things are unreliable. Antigravity will only refund if you purchase directly from them. Fortnine customer service was great, but they can’t provide support for Antigravity products.

I wanted a more compact means to jump my V8 truck and charge various electronic devices. The Antigravity XP-10 was featured and suggested on a couple of Tactical Rifleman YouTube videos. He will not endorse a product unless he has used it extensively and put it through it’s paces.

JB Tool s had the XP-10 at the lowest price I could find and free shipping! No brainer! When they have it in stock, I am thinking of purchasing a second one!.

It’s not often in life that you buy a product that turns out to be awesome. Usually things are good. or not. But this battery jump starter is one of those rare items that is worth every penny and more.

It comes in a zippered case that includes the battery pack, jumper cables, a charger (to charge this battery pack from mains electricity) and various different connectors so you can connect your electronic devices to the charging ports.

This allows you to charge anything from your phone to a laptop computer. There’s also a built in flashlight to make it easier to see what you’re doing when connecting the starter to your vehicle’s battery.

It’s very well designed and thought out. You test the charge level just by pushing the power button and it’ll show you how much charge is remaining. You can’t start a vehicle with it unless it has more than 3 out of 5 lights lit.

I had occasion to use it to start my car yesterday as the battery had drained pretty much completely. All you do is connect the jumpers to the relevant battery terminals, connect the cable to the charger and then go start your car.

In my case, the car started up as if it had a brand spanking new battery installed. I was very impressed by the simplicity of the experience. My only problem was that the crocodile clamps are pretty big and chunky and in the confined space available on the positive terminal of my car’s battery, it was difficult to get a good connection.

I eventually managed it though. This would really be my only complaint about this product and I emailed Anti Gravity about it and they said that they had to make the clamps that big so that diesel engines could be started up.

I suggested to them that they might consider selling the kit in optional formats – one for diesel and another for everything else. To get around this problem, you can buy a clampless starting harness that is permanently attached to your car or bike’s battery terminals (like a pig tail).

When you need to jump start the vehicle, you just attach the connector to your jump starter, no messing with crocodile clamps or even having to expose the battery. Currently this does not appear to be available from Revzilla.

You can find it on the Anti Gravity website. I’ve ordered two today, one for my Harley and another for my car that isn’t used often (so the battery tends to drain). This will make using the jump starter much easier in future.

I highly recommend it if you travel long distances.

IšverstiShow in original languageI’ve used this many times to jump my car whose battery is suffering from covid non-use. It’s worked like a charm! Very easy, and feels very safe to use. The light is also perfectly situated for seeing the battery while jumping the battery at night.

I haven’t used the compressor yet but I highly recommend this for ease of use and portability.

The 1st day I received it, I read the instruction manual and charged the unit with the included USB charging cable and power adapter. It took 12 hours to bring to a full charge with a steady green light on the charge status indicator.

On day 2, I jump-started a diesel-powered wood chipper with a dead battery including glow plugging. The chipper rolled over & fired right up. It made me a believer. This unit I purchased is a used, refurbished item.

The compact size is deceiving. The power unit handled jumping an 850 CCA dead battery with no starter lag. The unit & bag with included accessories and manual tucks away nicely in the truck’s center console or under a seat and can be recharged by the 12VDC accessory outlet in the vehicle.

It still had 3 of 4 charge lights lit after jump starting the chipper. The unit automatically stops charging when the battery reaches full capacity. The size and weight of this power pack is so much better than lugging a large, heavy and cumbersome lead-acid battery power pack around and carrying it behind the truck seat.

It beats jockeying my vehicle into position to get close enough to run jumper cables. This is a compact, lightweight, portable and powerful heavy-duty power pack. The USB connection allows cell phone and tablet charging and thebuilt-in bright white LED light is a handy and convenient feature.

The battery cables can only be plugged in one way with reverse polarity protection. The only complaints I have is the 8 gauge jumper cables are short and the battery clamps are smaller than regular battery terminal clamps.

I also wish the unit had a hard shell storage case instead of a bag with a drawstring. Nit-pickings aside, I will buy another one. Update 12/7/20: I pulled the Duracell Lithium-Ion jump starter out of my truck after sitting in the console for 4 months and jumpstarted my diesel subcompact tractor.

It worked flawlessly. I’m very happy and satisfied with this product. The big Schumacher Pro Series lead-acid battery power pack permanently resides in my garage as a back up.

This worked better than expected starting up my V6 3. 6L Honda Accord with a very low battery after 45 days of storage (oscillating rapid starter clicks due to low voltage). I’m not sure how such a tiny battery with maybe 4-8ga clamp wires can supply 1100 Amperes as claimed, but it must be a very short duty cycle.

Either way, the item started the car on the first try. Way smaller than an old-fashioned jumper pack! The lithium onboard battery charges only by USB micro, which is a bit disappointing from a robustness standpoint.

I would prefer a brighter-colored pouch for visibility, and a better way to keep the USB and clamp cables with the device. Overall very pleased so far.

I have not jump started a car yet, so i’m going on faith this will work correctly when needed. It does appear to be a high quality product. My only complaint is this does not come with a real carrying case.

This comes with a small nylon draw string bag. I’ll have to purchase real case to store this in as the parts are just loose in the little bag. You should figure this in the cost if you plan to buy this unit.

While there are might better battery jumpers on the market. If your major need is for an easy to carry, easy to use and easy to charge jumper. I don’t believe you can beat this model for the price. You can probably jump start at least2 (maybe 3) regular automobiles off a unit that was charged less than a week ago.

And I had no problem jumping a car after my unit had been left sitting for slightly more than a month, after its last full charge. One notice about following the instructions! You do need to have the receiving vehicle set to Park.

But some instructions might make it sound like you also need to set the PARKING BRAKE. Don’t do that. Having the PARKING BRAKE On may cause the Receiving Vehicle to believe someone is attempting to HOT WIRE It.

It will honk for help and refuse to start.

Ours has worked once, and failed twice to start our 4Runner after we drained the battery while camping. Unreliable, and worthless. Yes, the unit was fully charged before departing on the trip. In our experience, this may be good for charging phones, but not for jump-starting vehicles.

IšverstiShow in original languageArriving at work this morning I found the battery on the ford diesel truck Stone Cold Flat DEAD. Another employee had left the hazard lights and the company radio on overnight.

I pulled my truck up to jump start it. I left my truck with cables attached to the dead truck for about 5 minutes expecting to just jump in and fire this dead ford diesel off. I barely got a growl before click-click DEAD.

I remembered I had my brand new fully charged NICO Power Pack in the tool box of my truck. I attached the power pack per instructions and the digital volt gage read below 3 volts. HUMMM. The power pack would not go to the jump start mode? I looked at the power pack directions.

Well low and behold there is an override switch to bypass the safety feature if the battery is below a low voltage limit. What the heck lets bypass this NOCO power pack and see what its got. I hit the bypass switch and operation on button and jumped into the truck.

The second I turned the key on I knew by the way the dash lite up that this truck was gettin the juice. I waited for the glow plug light to extinguish and I turned the ignition key to start this Dead Diesel.

Wham! The engine fired in the first revolution of the crank. I mean this Ford diesel engine fired off like it has never done before. Wow I was impressed. I disconnected the NOCO Power Pack and left the truck idling.

I took the power pack into the shop and connected the power pack to the charger expecting it to be at least 1/2 to 1/3 partially discharged. The state of charge meter on the NOCO showed that it was charging on the full charge light meaning almost still fully charged.

When I returned to the shop less than a half hour later to check out the charge on the NOCO, the unit was already fully charged ready to take on the next DEAD Diesel Engine.

I bought this 4 days ago for my wife who works 12 hour night shifts at a hospital so I would not have to worry about her car starting. It is very easy to use but I brought it to work to try it out. I am a mechanic so I wanted to try it first.

The first car I tried it on it worked fine. The second car the negative clamp came apart in front of the customer. I put it back together and went to connect again and it fell apart again. Plastic nipples are the only thing holding the clamps together.

Very bad poor design. I will be returning tomorrow.

This little guy is awesome. I have an SUV and I use a brake cane (which I sometime don’t install correctly and leave the brake pushed down and drain my battery. poor women muscle strength) that’s when this Red Fuel has helped me, I can’t tell you how great it was to just plug this in, pushed the button and it starts right up, no need to call AAA and use a “lifeline”.

Not sure what the issue is for the peeps who say it didn’t work for them but I’m very happy with it and I’ve left it in my car for over a year (pandemic) and it’s still charged.

Looks interesting. Charged well. It was a must have on my tool list. Haven’t had a need to use it yet. I only wish the adapter was included instead of sold separately.
