Canola oil is highly processed cheap to make oil. It is high in omega 6 and releases free radicals when cooking. Most canola oil is gmo, being chemically extracted using a solvent. Stick with mother nature’s oils not man made oils.

Animal fats are full of omega 3’s that feed your brain and many other nutrients. Humans have been using them for thousands of years. Vegetable oils are new. All about the money.

It’s great but you’re paying for the brand name. I got it for when my Lodge pans were just purchased to work on seasoning the pan. I thought I might as well spend the money since their pans are an investment.

Store brand canola oil from the grocery store will do just fine once I finish this.

The beauty of this product is that I can use it on both cast iron and nonstick cookware. That’s because it’s 100% pure canola oil, with no additives or propellants. EXCELLENT product, but pricey as all get out.

You’re paying for the Lodge name. Hopefully, a competitor will introduce a lower price-point product.

The Blackstone Griddle Seasoning & Cast Iron Conditioner comes in a 6. 5-ounce (192 ml) plastic jar. I have an old cast iron skillet that I removed all the seasoning and build-up and needed to re-season, so this was the perfect way to check out this product.

I really like that I can use this product to re-season my skillet and use the same product to maintain the seasoning later. The process was simple to follow. First, wipe down the pan, preheat pan, and then apply the product.

This is when I had a bit of trouble. I tried to apply with a paper towel, but it seemed like small fibers mixed into the oil coating the pan. I then changed my tactic and used an old micro fiber cloth.

That worked well and did not leave any fibers on the pan. The next problem was how to apply all over the pan without burning myself. I think what worked best was to do the inside at least three times as the instructions state, then go back and do the outside 3 times.

When I tried to do the whole pan inside and out at one time, it was messy and hard to handle even with potholders. My cloth got hot, too. After coating the pan with the seasoning, you are supposed to let it smoke off which I did.

Once it burns off, you repeat the steps starting with reapplying a spoon of the seasoning to the pan to the final step of burning the oil off. The color did not change a lot after three coats, but the texture was smoother, and there was a visible smoothness to the pan.

I later fried an egg to see how non-stick it was, and my egg did not stick to the pan, even with just a light coating of cooking oil in my pan. Finally, I added a bit of the Blackstone seasoning to my clean pan for maintenance, but not too much that there would be a sticky residue.

I think this product is very helpful and I am thrilled to have one of my old cast iron skillets back in action.

After I bought my Blackstone Griddle, research began for the right oils to use for seasoning. There was a ton of information out there! Luckily, I came across a couple of YouTube videos of Blackstone masters who recommended several options, including this Griddle Seasoning.

I am SO GLAD I went with this product! It works like a charm and my griddle seasoned to a finish as smooth as sealed as Teflon! Don’t wonder about what to use. the Blackstone Griddle Seasoning is THE way to go!!.

The French mention cooking with Duck Fat. Walmart is the only place to get it for a reasonable price. I like the spray for my non stick pans. I spray my pan before cutting on the heat. I also buy the Duck Fat in the solid form from Walmart – Fatworks Duck Fat Cage Free 14 Oz.

If you get it elsewhere and another brand, be sure and read the ingredients to make sure you are only getting Duck Fat. Gave 1 of each to SIL, and he is now sold on Duck Fat. Duck Fat will start to burn after 375 deg, a little higher than butter.

I feel buying from Walmart I know what I’m getting and the price is good. I saw the same brand on Amazon and it had several complaints.

The spray can works fine, the price is high for what you get, and it really does not taste much different to me than the canola spray. I was so wanting to enjoy roasted potatoes with that duck fat taste that I have had in the past, but this does not deliver.

I have used this spray three times so far, air fryer French fries, roasted vegetables, and prepping the grill. Worked wonderfully every time. Highly recommend.

As I am learning of the health risks of using canola oil, vegetable oil, palm oil and corn oil? I am very much happy changing the oil that I am using before.

I love using this oil in all my meals; it is perfect for use in an air fryer. Using this oil prevents less smoke. And give food a good flavor plus has good ingredients good for the body.

I love this oil. It is the only one I buy. It is a little pricier, but I make my own salad dressing with herbs and vinegar and this oil. It is very light and really no after taste. Also it is great for cooking as this combo has a high burn temp.

I use it for baking, etc. Anything that calls for olive oil or vegetable oil and replace it with this. I also use the spray for baking.

I LOVE this for re-seasoning my Lodge skillets! It gave me back my fav “cornbread skillet”. My cornbread skillet is seldom washed. I just wipe it completely and spray it with this spray.

I love this spray; it keeps my cast iron pans in great shape after washing and drying. Spray little bit inside pan, use paper towel to wipe around inside then do the same to bottom and left over on handle.

Done.

This is the *only* 100% olive oil spray I’ve come across where the spray nozzle actually works so I can coat the pan! The other brands I’ve tried just make little pools of oil rather than a proper spray.

This is the only one I’ll be buying from now on. I now dont understand why additives are necessary in other brands.

Love that it has the taste (lightly) of extra virgin olive oil AND it’s calorie free. I would spray the pan and/or food items over the sink as the nozzle makes the spray go everywhere as opposed to exactly where you’re aiming.

So worth it.

This spray makes it so convenient when you need to grease a baking pan, or roast veggies in the oven! Just quickly spray it to cover everything. Works well but it can be a little messy if it gets outside of the area you’re trying to spray.

The griddle seasoning is great and I must purchase more.

This will be used to bake my chocolate cake. My husband actually prefers Crisco to other brands. I usually use olive oil. But Crisco does taste better than other vegetable oils that I have purchased.

It prevents sticking to the pan, and helps make this cake a little moisture. The price is reasonable and you can pick it up almost anywhere. I have recommend it.

This is pure GMAO soybean oil that is heart healthy and the lowest unit cost per ounce of most the oils. High smoke point makes it ideal for frying and cooking. Most soybeans in the USA are genetically (GMAO) so if this is an issue for you be sure to read the soybean oil labels before purchasing.

Like another reviewer commented, about 82% of avocado oils tested were either rancid or cut with other cheaper oil. I have been buying this avocado oil for years now. The last 2 times I had to return the oil because it was dark orange in color and RANCID.

I had a “good” bottle that was the usual light in color and taste. I am hoping and praying that this oil IS actually real avocado oil and not soybean oil. We are trying to consume healthy oils and I would be really disappointed if this is not real avocado oil.

In 2020, UC Davis, famous for blowing the lid off of the fake olive oil industry, tested Avocado oils. Shockingly, they found that 82% of their samples where either rancid far before the expiration date, cut with cheaper oils, and in the case of 3 samples, outright fake (pure soybean oil).

Due to that study, I only trust two brands. Sadly this is not one of them.

I wanted an even light coating of oil with a hint of flavour for vegetables and chicken breast so I wouldn’t be using butter. This worked wonderfully. I used 6 sprays and it was delicious with only 3 grams of fat.

I’m going to try this on some plain noodles and chicken. I also ordered the chipotle avacado spray at the same time and I can’t say which I prefer. They are both excellent. The italian herb avacado spray is a lighter flavour and doesn’t have the bit of heat that’s in the chipolte avacado spray but I will be buying both often.

I hope Natura will stock Chosen Foods Pumpkin Spice avacado spray. It would be nice on toast or muffins. I really wish they made a butter flavour avacado spray. I’d be using that daily.

I love this brands avocado oil, they do nothing wrong on that front! It’s got great flavor without being to avocado-y that you need to be concerned what dishes you use it with like some others I’ve tried.

I would rate the quality of their oil as excellent, and I love that the packaging is a lot cuter than your average cooking spray so if it gets left out it looks relatively nice. However, I am really disappointed with the spray function.

The oil comes out like a weak dribble & It’s really difficult to get any kind of coverage with it, basically, you would be better off using a regular bottle. With this type of spray top, I think the product needs to be an aerosol spray to actually function.

I did like that it isn’t an aerosol spray because I know that’s not great for the environment, but it needs to still function, maybe more of a pump spray top? Anyways, a bummer that it’s not super functional, but I still love the brand & will continue to purchase their oil, just not in this dispenser unless they update.

This type mineral oil is recommended to seal and preserve natural woods such as bamboo in cutting boards. Wood cutting boards are preferred over plastic or glass materials which dull knife blades more quickly.

Moderately priced, easy to apply. Palm of hand works well.

Being an avid cook, I cook almost every meal I eat. I have 4 bamboo wood cutting boards which I use all the time. I usually wet sand and re-oil them somewhere about every two months. I have been using Howard’s oil for a while now.

I like how light and clean it feels and looks. It doesn’t seem like you’re using industrial type oil, like some other brands do. What I usually do is first wet sand the boards completely smooth, especially removing all the knife marks.

I let them dry in the dish rack for a few hours. I then apply the oil generously with a soft cloth, then let them sit in a dish rack overnight to dry. I wash the boards off with dish soap, let them dry again, then they’re ready to use.

There is no after taste on the food at all. My boards are in great shape, especially the board I use for cooked meats, which has a nice patina. I would highly recommend Howard mineral oil for cutting boards and other related uses!.

LOVE this oil for preserving and conditioning my cutting board. Another reviewer stated that it’s JUST mineral oil and she bought plain mineral oil somewhere else for cheaper. do your own research – not all mineral oils are food-grade and meant for human consumption.

This, along with several other oils I have bought from this site makes some beautiful soap. I love the bulk buying from here, and you won’t beat the prices. There is no foul odor, so there is no difficulty making cold process soap.

I converted to cast iron a few year back after the enameling went bad on some expensive cookware and have never looked back. I’ve done all sorts of seasoning methods with new cast iron as well as maintenance on existing cookware.

Ive tried various oils. Grapeseed was working fairly well for me. This mix is outstanding. It does seem to have a lower smoke point so I would use it for maintenance versus coating a new pot or pan. It leaves a nice finish and has helped repair the seasoning on a few problem areas.

I think it is worth the investment, especially the first few months when you are trying to break in a new piece of gear. As others have stated I would love to see it provided in a larger size container.

I have cooked with Field skillets almost exclusively for the past three years and they have performed great. My only critique is that it seems more difficult to build up a durable seasoning on Field skillets than most of my other skillets.

I started using this seasoning oil about five months ago and I have been very impressed. The seasoning this provides is far more durable than anything I’ve tried to date (grape seed oil, flax, pretty much every cooking oil, etc.

). A little bit goes a long way and this stuff, for whatever reason, works better than anything else on the market when it comes to building up a durable seasoning on cast iron.

I love the combination of oils in this product and how easy it is to use. It is so much better than trying to use grapeseed or flaxseed oil alone. The butter consistency really helps the seasoning absorb into the cast iron.

I love my Field cast iron cookware and I won’t use any other seasoning oil than what is sold on the Field company website.

You do not need that much but just a small amount enhances your pasta. The oil is a hit ! I use it on grilled cheese and chicken sandwiches. My toddler has been eating foods with TRUFF oil in it for almost a year.

A small amount is really all you need. The spicy TRUFF mayo is AMAZING !!!!!!! I used it to make chicken salad sandwiches yesterday and my husband was in love ! TRUFF is not a letdown at ALL. I will keep ordering !!!.
