20 Best Oil For Growing Hair (2022 Updated)

I LOVE THIS OIL. Have been using it since 2016 and have ALWAYS seen major results. The problem with people who DONT is that they don’t use it as directed. Both bottles as directed gets the best results.

Roducta are natural and safe for children. Been using it on my son since he was 4m in 2020 and got his first bald patch. He is now 2 with hair down his back. Even the spots that were bald are long.

The best advice I give to my family and friends when they ask about these products is to be CONSISTENT especially with massaging your scalp EVERY DAY for a few minutes with the elixir. Another advice is to stick to the same products because the ingredients in these products are MAGICAL!.

This product is a game changer in my scap care routine. However after buying it I came home and realised that the bottom of the bottle was cracked and the oil leaking slightly. But the oil is amazing on my scalp.

I swear this made my hair grow longer after just one wash. I would definitely repurchase again but I will have to check the bottoms of the bottles so that i don’t end up buying one that is cracked from the bottom.

Got this for my partner who has always suffered with really dry flakey scalp wich is not caused by oily hair, it was constantly dry and tight all over his scalp but this range is very good at relieving the dryness and flakes.

Even tightness improved from being so dry, we have tried lots of different shampoos conditioners, but this oil and the spray in the same range has been helping a lot. This also smells beautiful, like a tropical fruity candle! We also use the palmer’s strong roots spray, wich also helps the tightness of dry scalp.

I Love this oil. You don’t need a lot. If you use a litte and massage in your scalp it feels amazing. To much will make your hair greasy feeling and looking. Just a little here and there. This has replaced my other expensive oils.

IšverstiShow in original languageI struggle to use this oil according to the directions, as it’s a bit too heavy for my (and my daughter’s) medium thickness, low-porosity, 2a-3b wavy/curly hair if I try to use it on my styled hair.

Instead, I’ve used it as a pre-shampoo treatment that I brush through before washing our hair. For myself I apply it up to 24-hours pre-wash, but for my daughter I do it immediately before (to avoid leaving a fragranced product in contact with her super sensitive skin for too long).

It works well either way. What prompted me to leave this review is that I just finished conditioning and styling my daughter’s hair thinking, “Why is her hair drier and frizzier than normal?” I realized that I had forgotten to brush the oil through before her bath, and WOW did I notice the difference! As for the scent, well, my 4yo daughter loves the smell so much that she insists we keep it in her bathroom.

I’m supposed to “say please” when I want to use it. That little punk stole it so she can open it and smell it when she’s in there brushing her teeth! Haha! Haven’t noticed a difference in hair growth, but I’ve been using various hair growth serums (but no minoxidil) for ages and this seems to be on par with any others I’ve tried.

It is going to be greasy so what I found effective is applying it with grow gorgeous hair density serum to the scalp.

I mix them together and massage my scalp for a minute. Then I take about a nickel size of this oil by itself all the way down thru the rest of the hair brushing from scalp to tip. If you are curly or wavy you obviously can leave out the brushing part and rely on your hands to evenly distribute the product.

I put it up in a bun overnight and wash in the morning. I do this twice a week the night before I wash and condition my hair. I do a double wash to ensure I rinse out all the oil. I learned the hard way the first time.

I’ve only been doing this for a couple months but my hair feels and styles nicely afterward so I’ll continue on. I have fine stranded medium to thick density hair. I’ve dreamed of a super thick pony but I’m thankful for having a lot of hair albeit baby fine.

I was in Walmart one day looking at products to keep my hair moisturized between shampoos and an African-American beautician had apparently noticed that I was reading labels and looking confused. She asked if she could feel my hair and I allowed it.

She recommended that I try the African Pride Olive Miracle Growth Oil. She recommended that I sleep in a satin or silk cap to sleep in. For me, a 70-year-old, Caucasian woman, it works. My hair is growing and is moisturized and does not break like it once it.

This product works! I used it initially a longggg time ago and immediately noticed a difference in my natural hair. It looked more healthy, was more manageable and with time, it became stronger as well.

I have relaxed hair now and this product has still worked for me. I’ve tried various other oils and for my hair,this is the best! I stopped using it for awhile unfortunately because I could not find it and since then my hair has weakened.

I’ve tried other oils including regular olive oil and my result is nowhere near the same result I get with this product. Glad walmart sells it as I’ll be buying a few bottles today with store pickup today before doing my hair lol.

This works as a daily moisturizer, provides heat protection. I also used to use this weekly in my deep conditioning routine and also do not notice the same result without it. I put some of this in my hair and mix it in with my conditioner before sitting under the dryer.

Wow. I’m impressed! I’m trying to grow out my hair and I’ve been experiencing dry scalp. I found this product on clearance and decided to give it a try! Surprisingly it smells good and hydrates my scalp without feeling oily.

I apply a nickel size from root to the end after washing my hair. Usually apply when my hair is damp. Feels wonderful and nourishing.

I’ll start off by saying I do take supplements including biotin, collagen and other vitamins. I understand the importance of vitamins going into your body, and I have always been on the skeptical side when it comes to topical products for issues such as hair loss.

Now, with that said, I find myself nearly to the end of this bottle and looking to buy more. I lost 80% of my long healthy hair or so due to health issues/major trauma/hospitalization. I understand this product may not work for everyone, but I have to say I do think it’s helped.

Maybe it’s a combination of the vitamins I take, and partially the stimulation of the scalp. I use it about 3 times a week at night, and FYI the smell is incredible- smells like mangos to me. I think I’ll be buying another bottle, and maybe trying out the leave-in conditioner.

Okay this OIL IS AMAZING!!!! Haven’t been a month with it and in 2 weeks my hair is no longer damaged it’s so smooth and shiny plus IS GROWING BACK SO FASTTT! 100% real the only thing I will be getting to maintain my hair silky and healthy won’t change wow! I bought this for my husband because he suffers from itchy dandruff. This in combination with the Moroccan shampoo and conditioner bars has helped him so so much. More than anything else we have tried.

His only complaint is that it makes his hair a little oily but, that is to be expected. When centralized via finger tips directly to his dry scalp, it makes a world of difference. 10/10 highly reccomend!.

This serum is lovely because it is light. I have an oily scalp and I am trying to train my hair to not get oily so quickly by not washing it everyday. I go about 4 days right now without washing my hair and I apologize in advance for the oily hair before and after pictures but I am just being honest.

I was skeptical about applying a serum on my scalp everyday because like I said, I don’t wash my hair daily and using my fingers to disperse it felt like I was just going to get more oils on it. However, this serum does not make my hair more oily.

It actually feels absorbs quickly into my hair and is light/thin like water. I applied it daily on dry hair at night-time focusing on my hairline and then massaging towards the entire scalp. I do notice a difference in my hair after using it for 3 months.

The baby hairs around my hairline look longer and those were stuck at that same length for a long time so I can definitely see a difference now. It’s a very lovely serum. I actually enjoyed it very much.

I have been struggling with hair loss for 18 mo (so it wasn’t seasonal shedding) plus breakage after a perm at a salon. I am in peri menopause only last few months, but possible it was hormone related.

I have tried shampoos, changing salon color products (I never used box dye), co washing (made my hair stink), washing less often, various supplements, and a couple natural oils. I have 3b curly hair. I ran out of my usual grow gorgeous intense serum and decided to try the vegamour one out. I do not think this product is meant for high porosity curly hair that is already on the thicker side.

For context I hadn’t been using a serum for a few months, so this wasn’t withdrawal hair loss. I ordered this one to help with hair thickness and growth, and I wanted to try it out. My hair feel out in CHUNKS.

I did an experiment where I did five days on and five days off. The shower hair loss was significant with the five days on. I repeated the experiment again for the rest of the month. Same results. I think this product has too much protein for high porosity curly hair and not enough moisture, making it brittle at the root, and snapping off.

When I say hair loss I mean HAIR LOSS. Luckily my hair is already on the thicker side from years of using the grow gorgeous intense serum. But I had noticeable loss in the back of my scalp, and that’s where I applied the most of the vegamour serum because that’s the area I have the least amount of hair.

Now it’s even less. Luckily my grow gorgeous serum went back in stock, and I switched back. My hair was happy and thicker within 2 weeks. I am making my way back to where I was but am upset at this set back.

Who is this product for? I think this product is for someone who has extremely thin low porosity hair that tends to get greasy. I think it’s for straight hair, not any that has texture. This is a very specific product for white women straight limp hair, and I say that as a white woman who has curly hair.

Ending the subscription is annoying as you do have to call in and they grill you on why you didn’t like it. If your someone witth anxiety that’s not the most pleasant process. I think save yourself some grief and go to grow gorgeous serum.

I have been using their system for years and never experienced such an issue. I use their shampoo and conditioner, thickening mask, and intense serum. What I liked about the product was the scent and watery consistency.

I use it 30 mins before shampoo. I have used only twice so far and I really enjoy while I am leaving it in the scalp before washing it. The scalp seems to be more balanced.

I bought this at Sally over 6 months ago after damaging my hair from bleach it’s actually working! I mean I do have to use a whole new hair routine however adding this to my wet short hair and letting it soak into my scalp while my hair air dries really helps! I have significant root growth.

Safe to use on sensitive scalps as I have psoriasis. I would not use on dry hair it will make your hair look greasy if you have dandruff or buildup it won’t work as good unless you exfoliate the roots prior to using it.

Would recommend to short haired gals.
