20 Best Oil For Oily Skin (2022 Updated)

I’ve repurchased this product a couple times now. I was on the hunt for a hydrating facial oil that didn’t make me break out and this is my absolute go-to, plus it’s so affordable. My skin normally is extremely oily but I’m currently on a course of Accutane, a medication for acne that makes you extremely dry while on it.

I’ve used this product with both skin types and have liked it just as much with both. I wear this oil at night and pat it onto my moisturizer, then slug with Vaseline to seal it in. It’s very refreshing feeling and I’ve noticed fine lines diminishing and overall skin texture improvement while using it.

It doesn’t have fragrance, which is a plus for sensitive skin like mine. It does have a bit of a scent but I never considered it until I saw people commenting about it here. The oil itself is green, which is pretty fun, so don’t freak when you get it and it’s not clear or yellow like a lot of oils.

Also, I’ve tried it because it feels so nice, but I would say it’s definitely more of a nighttime wear than a daytime wear for me. It is, well, very oily and your face will shine like the good Madonna if you try and use it in your morning skincare routine lol.

I bought this about a month ago on a whim upon reading some reviews. I personally love unusual, herbal, earthy smells – it definitely has a green fish-oil scent and I adore it. I was dealing with hyperpigmentation, dehydration, dryness and breakouts due to dry winter air in my apartment.

All that changed about my routine initially was the addition of this oil. Within a few days my skin was soft again. Within a week the breakouts subsided. My hyperpigmentation has started to dramatically clear up — I do want to note that I think that has more to do with my moisture barrier than with any brightening properties of the oil.

I’ve started mixing this with my favourite rosehip oil, the Pai Skincare Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil (sorry TO, but it’s the best on the market) and my skin hasn’t looked this good in a very long time.

I highly recommend giving this a try if your moisture barrier is damaged. I did not expect this to do much at all and now I don’t think I will ever be without it.

I’ve used other oils in the past but this oil trumps all of them. Don’t let the green color throw you off, this stuff is amazing. And I’m not sure if it’s directly attributed to this oil, but I swear ever since I started using this oil, my baby hairs along my hairline have been growing like crazy.

I had this annoying patch of baby hair that was longer than all the rest of my baby hairs, but not long enough to blend with the rest of my hair. I’d always have to slick it back with some hairspray and pray it didn’t spring back out, but when I started using this oil, it grew like three inches in length and now blends with the rest of my hair.

I have some tension alopecia along one area of my hairline as well, and out of curiosity I started applying the oil to that area and new growth started coming in! I didn’t purchase this oil with this intention but honey lord knows I love a multitasking product.

I have purchased several oils from Desert Essence as well as other brands. This one is easily my favorite! I think I’m on bottle #4. Seriously, I love it. Hydrating, not too thick, light scent, makes my skin look/feel lovely.

I always put this oil on my face/neck/chest before I go to bed. Sometimes I even reapply if I wake up in the middle of the night. And you better believe I frequently lube up any time I’m not wearing makeup.

I just love this stuff!.

This essential oil blend is lovely. I’ve been using it for about a week, and my middle-aged face is looking healthy and moisturized. (My hands feel softer, too. ) I’m prone to breakouts and so far this hasn’t caused any.

The fragrance is light and vaguely like citrus, but not overpowering at all. So far, a great find!.

I had combo skin in my younger years. I don’t look my age but dry rough skin and dry spots caused me to question my routine. I found BBE and it’s enhanced my appearance. However this oil that I recently was able to try out is exactly what my skin needed to even out my medium complexion, diminish fine lines and I don’t see a hint of irritation or rash.

My skin has that soft pliable feel of my youth. I can’t live without this oil. The benefits felt and seen were immediate but it has surpassed that 1st application in just 5 days.

I ran out of this amazing oil and my face immediately went back to it’s old ways. It became dry, scaly, flaky and I knew immediately that it needed this oil. The smell is like a tropical oasis on my face, so good.

I love that the ingredients are clean and that it is organic. I will never run out again.

Who would’ve thought you put oil on oily skin?! Not me! But this has helped do wonders for my skin & solving my acne & large pores. My acne is down & so are my pores. It’s not heavy either, it feels light on your skin.

Added bonus is that there are no extra chemicals to combat acne or problem skin. Obsessed with this company! I keep buying more stuff!.

I use it every evening after my facial cleanser and moisturizer. I only need 5 or 6 drops to cover my entire face. I use the rosehip seed oil after this one and then massage both into my skin with a cold jade roller.

Not only has this oil helped regulate the excess oil on my face (I have combination skin, so my T-zone gets oily), it has helped clear up my acne. Backuchiol is gentler than retinol. I have sensitive skin that doesn’t play nice with retinol.

It’s too harsh for me. But this oil doesn’t harm it one bit. I love that, and I love that it has linoleic acid in it, as well. I’ve been reading up on linoleic acid, and there is research that suggests that those who don’t have enough of it in their skin are the ones who struggle with acne.

Like I said, this oil has helped clear up my acne, so I have no trouble believing that research. It has even lessened the severity of my hormonal acne that happens before my period each month. I didn’t think anything could do that! I’m so glad it’s a part of my skincare routine because I feel like I’m treating the root cause of my acne instead of just the symptom of it.

And who doesn’t like giving their skin the nutrients it needs to age gracefully? This oil and the rosehip seed oil have become permanent parts of my skincare routine. Everyone should give this oil a try, especially if you’re an acne sufferer.

Really hated this product! It has so many good reviews on good molecules website so I had high hopes. The first night I applied it I loved it! It immediately plumped my skin and absorbed nicely. Then when I used it the next few nights I noticed my pores looking super clogged and my skin was dryer than usual.

Looked up chia seed oil and it has a comedogenic rating of 3. So I started using on my forehead only. After 3 months of on and off use my lines on my forehead that were very faint when starting, now look deeper.

This did not work for me and actually made my skin dryer for some reason. The bottle is very tiny and is annoying to use dropper at times because it’s so small. After 3 months there’s still half the bottle left though.

It smells very earthy like chia seeds, which I don’t mind. Overall would not recommend if you have larger pores.

my skin situation: i’m 38 with lines making themselves quite comfortable across my forehead and slightly coming in around my marionette area. i’m white with some sun spots and increased freckling. my skin is oily with noticeable but not large pores, and i am prone to occasional break outs- well, i used to be.

i only use this product at night, as it definitely does leave my skin a little shinier than i want during the day. that being said, since starting to use it nightly, my skin is so much smoother, brighter, plumper, and more hydrated.

i feel like a new person! i use it second to last no matter what other treatment i am doing, and i put a thick moisturizer over it. my skin was looking tired and dull, and now i don’t even bother with make up.

I have been battling hormonal acne for years. I am 29 years old. I also started working night shift 1 year ago, and my acne just exploded after that. I have used dozens of products, all of them relatively clean.

I have been using Annmarie Herbal facial oil for quite a long time. I never thought i would use or be able to use an oil moisturizer. I am prone to adult acne, i thought it would increase my acne and clog pores.

I was WRONG, my skin feels amazing, fine lines are reduced, and my acne is slim to nothing. I will continue to be a faithful product user.

I bought the sample for normal & combination skin. It was really small for just 2 days so I did not see any improvements. When I opened the little packet and squeezed on my finger was runny enough to waste product.

The smell was not exactly pleasant. I felt I was covering my face with cooking oil. The sample came with a $10 off coupon that I could not use anyway because I bought another kit; and it seems to be only for full-sized product, bummer! Well I am giving this company a second chance.

Love this! Bought it on a whim after eyeing it for a while. I actually have dry skin, especially in the winter, but suffer with milia and dark spots that made me interested in this oil. The first thing I noticed was the smell – the only way I can describe it is that it smells rich.

It smells like luxury. Like, “Oh, she’s got MONEY money,” rich. Putting this oil on, I felt like I was a millionaire influencer doing my nighttime skincare routine for Harper’s Bazaar. It’s faaaancy, y’all.

I love the feel and finish of this oil, too. It’s less thick/viscous than I expected it to be, but it doesn’t skimp on hydration, so you feel deeply moisturized and plump upon applying it. It sinks into the skin quickly, but does leave that faint layer of surface moisture, so it’s probably best for a pre-bed routine rather than before makeup.

That’s my preference, so it’s perfect for me, but YMMV! I noticed an almost immediate reduction in the look of my pores and my surface redness. This feels like a true self care moment in the sense that it is luxurious and feels a little indulgent, but it also does what it promises.

Can’t wait to upgrade to the bigger size!.

I wanted to love this so much. I started using it in beginning of April and was suffering from mild hormonal acne. I have drier sensitive combination skin, but lately I’ve noticed it was getting oiler.

My acne ended up getting much worse (I was getting blackheads and cystic acne on my forehead which I hadn’t previously) which I was attributing to my skin getting used to the new products since I started a whole new skin routine (all herbivore products).

Eventually my skin got so bad after a month and a half I decided to stop one product at a time to see if it improved. I started with this one and almost immediately it got better. Thinking maybe it was a fluke once my skin cleared I gave it another shot and immediately the next day blackheads popped up in multiple places again.

Sadly, this is the second oil I’ve tried from herbivore (tried Phoenix previously with the same issue) and I think oils just don’t work with me. I do love all the other products I’ve used from herbivore.

Side note I do use a mini fridge for all my skincare items so I did not notice the mold forming during the two months I had this.

I don’t usually write reviews but I would want someone to tell me what worked for them to spare me from spending on products that would not work me. I wanted to use this for a couple weeks before writing a review. I am obsessed with oils, but unfortunately a lot of them lead to breakouts on me except for a select few if I only use them at night after the rest of my skincare.

This one intrigued me because it is mostly cold pressed seed oils which are molecularly smaller and easier to absorb. I apply 2 drops over my moisturizer (ole henriksen strength trainer) in the morning and my makeup applies beautifully over it.

I apply 3 drops at night over the same moisturizer and my skin loves this stuff. It absorbs more than any oil I’ve ever tried. It doesn’t absorb entirely, there’s still a bit that stays dewy and glowy, but not a complete oil slick like others that just sit on top and never soak in.

It had made my skin SO soft and smooth and cleared any active breakouts. My skin was breaking out a bit when I first started using it, but my period was coming and was the real culprit. Because after my period, my skin cleared right up and I’ve been using this oil consistently day and night all the way through.

I think I’ve finally found the right oil blend for my skin. I have dry skin with occasional hormonal breakouts. I’ve tried Sunday Riley (Luna, Juno, CEO), Fresh, Josie Maran, Clarins, dermalogica, korres, etc.

If there’s a face oil in the line, I’ve used it! This one takes the cake. I’ve been wanting to try the True Botanicals Renew radiance oil, but this one is more than half the cost and works phenomenally.

So give it a try! (Pro tip: rub it between your hands/fingers and press it into the skin, not rub).

This saved my skin. My skin has been burning, stinging, and reacting for months, it got to the point where I can’t even wash it with plain water. I’ve used the cicaplast, the ceramide creams /Korean skincare and even plain sweet almond oil, some didn’t help at all, some help somewhat but they also break me out.

I had to forget about any makeup because I can’t prep my skin, looks terrible, and I can’t wash it off later. This oil gave me a huge jump in hydration, soothing and healing. I’m still dealing with these issues somewhat but this keeps them way at bay.

Removes the stinging feeling and I can wear my Kosas concealer again and it goes on smooth and doesn’t look so dry. I’ve even been able to go back to washing my face with Herbivore again. I will buy this again and again.

I’m so happy it works and doesn’t make me break out or dry me out further. Some oils have done that for me but for some reason this doesn’t. I’m very grateful. The deep oasis serum on the other hand inflames my skin really bad and burns and stings it.

It’s a curse to have dehydrated skin but not tolerate any of the humectants that work really well, hyaluronic acid, amino acids, fatty acids, glutamic acid, polyglutamic acid… still searching for a humectant serum I can tolerate to use under this.

Comes in beautiful Summer Fridays packaging like all their products do! This oil is incredibly hydrating two drops goes such a long way it’s incredibly rich and non greasy at all. I have incredibly sensitive skin which is also acne prone using rose hip oil alone breaks me out so I thought I’d try this blend of beautiful oils and it’s great – sits on the skin comfortably when used last or alone.

As rosehip is heavily scented it does overpower all the other oils and smells mainly of rosehip. The bottle also has a non drip stopper so it saves all the oil from dripping or taking too much so you get just the right amount you need to use.

I was initially quite sceptical about the price for the amount of oil as I usually go through same size face oil once a month but with it’s richness you only need a small amount so defo worth the price! Another great SF product!.

I have large pores in my t-zone since teenage. Nothing (neither cosmetics nor natural oils and remedies) has ever made it any better. Dr Hauschka brand skin care products were the first I could see the real effect from! I use this oil daily (or almost daily) after cleaning my face with Cleansing cream.

Facial toner makes the result better but in my opinion not a must. For about a month I did not see much change except for nice and fresh skin colour, softness and lack of oily shine in t-zone. But after a couple of weeks more I could see the change in my pores! I was really impressed.

Now, after a few months, my skin looks so much better, pores are clean and not visible. I would highly recommend this product!.

this company produces excellent skin care and this is one of my favourites. My skin feels soft and clear after using the oil and not oily at all. So pleased Jl is still socking dr hauschka, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find these products in the UK.

I swear by this product having used it for over ten years now. It has singlehandedly turned my once blemished/acne-prone skin to flawless skin and also helped to minimise pores. My skin looks smoother in my early 40s now than it did in my early 30s, largely thanks to this oil.

I do wish Dr Hauschka would bring back the 30 ml size (20 ml runs out quickly with daily use) or preferably a more economical 50 or 60ml bottle!.

I have been using jojoba oil as my moisturizer for a few months now, and I absolutely love it! I naturally have very oily (and acne prone) skin, and jojoba oil does not make my face more oily than it already is, but it absorbs into my skin nicely and doesn’t cause me to break out due to clogged pores.

One of my favorite skincare lines on Amazon is Sky Organics, but now I have added Sky Organic Jojoba Oil into one of my skincare staples as well! This oil is organic, unrefined and have ZERO additives, which is great considering all the junk skincare products that are on the market these days.

It’s nice to know that what my skin is absorbing is actually good for it and that there’s nothing toxic, or potentially toxic, in it. I use this on my hair, my skin, and on my cuticles/nails, and stopped using creams, cuticle oils, and hair products because this does it all for me! It’s a 4 ounce bottle and is lasting me forever.

I use 4 drops for my face and neck (2x a day) and smooth the remaining oil on my hands into my hair for silky skin and tamed, manageable hair. I used to have very dull looking skin due to years of suffering from acne as a teenager and all the bad products I’ve tried, but this has given my skin a glow that I thought I was long-gone.

I also stopped using baby products on my son and now use jojoba oil on his skin as his moisturizer as well. Do replace your products with this jojoba oil! It will help maintain your youthful skin (or help you on your journey to obtain youthful skin!), as it’s packed with the vitamins and minerals necessary for healthy skin and hair, and you won’t have to worry about anything toxic being absorbed into your system There’s no reason not to try this oil out!.

I’ve been using this organic oil on my face and neck for years. I also rub the extra into my hands and cuticles. I really like this new smaller size with the dropper. I think it’s easier to use and I can travel with it.

I LOVE this oil. I have awfully sensitive skin. I’ve tried everything other people with sensitive skin say works for them and those products are sill to harsh on my skin. I’ve been using this oil for about four weeks now.

this oil hasn’t made me breakout or clogged my pores, in fact my skin looks clearer!!! It hasn’t made my skin red, irritated or itchy. And the smell, it is amazing! I will definitely be ordering this oil again.

I love so many of your products so I figured I’d give this a try. I love it. I mainly use it at night and give a nice good portion of it to my face. It is freezing temps right now and my skin dries out and peels quick so this is very nourishing and has improved the texture as well.

It eases my sensitivity to the weather and helps the dry spots. No bad reaction. Feels nice on the skin. Need very little and it spreads nice. I highly recommend it! The times I have used it in the day I apply early so it has enough time to absorb before putting on my foundation and it does work well under make-up.

These oils are amazing. I had an accident ,I burned my face ,neck ,and arm with hot boiling water. I bought the H-Scar one for scars and it worked a miracle, No! Scars. So I decided to buy the face oil for my every day use, it is amazing!.

As a heads up, I am not one of those fake paid reviews I just want to rave about this product lol. I am someone who gets acne from any skincare product regardless of formulation. Anti-acne, sensitive, etc.

will absolutely give me acne and I had basically given up looking at skincare because I was so tired of having acne and everything just made it so much worse. When I saw this product I was very interested in trying it but the price tag made me stall for a bit because in my mind why would I pay that much to give myself more acne.

Finally breaking down considering the incredible reviews this product has gotten, I splurged on the big bottle. I could have bought the mini or the smaller bottle to try the product without spending so much, but on the chance that this product worked I wanted the full size and WOW, am I glad I bought the big bottle! Within the first week I was in love with this oil.

I was in the shower noticing that all the small milia bumps and clogged pores trapped under the skin were completely gone, just GONE! The second week I noticed that the light rosacea I have was also diminished by I’d say 95% and my pores and the spaces between the pores looked so much better than they ever have in my entire life I wanted to cry actual tears of joy because I feel so good about my skin now.

This oil is so light and airy, it completely sinks into my skin within minutes and does not leave me feeling even a little bit greasy. Some people complained about the ‘medicinal’ smell, but once it’s dry I don’t smell it at all and it’s just camphor in the blue tansy that you’re smelling so it’s not an unnatural fragrance.

Knock on wood, in the three weeks of once daily use(the bottle says do it twice, but I only do it once before bed after toning with witch hazel) of this oil I have not gotten a single pimple. If I noticed a bump, it was not red and it disappeared within a day.

I am looking in a mirror now which is what encouraged me to make this review because I can’t believe the difference this product made on my skin. If you have doubts if this product will work for you, try it anyways.

I am so glad I tried this, it has literally changed my life and skin in such a quick time frame I’m still shocked it can even be real. Herbivore, thank you! This incredible oil is the ONLY product in my 32 years to improve my skin and not make it worse.

I used this with the SATURN mask and OMG I am not exaggerating when I say I immediately saw a difference. I used the mask as spot treatment and rinsed with water after about 20-30 minutes. THE REVIEWS for the mask are unfair regarding the smell; it’s not that bad.

at all. but i the complaints are UNDERSTANDABLE regarding the quantity because it is not that much for $20 but it was DEFINITELY worth it to me & if the price doubled, I’d still buy it!!!!! I first washed my face with the ceramic slip cleanser as instructed.

Then I shook i up the mask so it mixed really good and applied as a spot treatment and rinsed with water. IMPORTANT I saw great results once rinsed but when I say, I saw freaking amazing fantastic results “after” applying the A+ high dose retinol serum (one pump) followed by the UFO acne treatment face oil (two pumps) then the luna sleeping night oil (two pumps) I swear I CANNOT STOP STARING IN THE MIRROR because it seems almost impossible that two hours later it looks like my acne disappeared… basically it appears as if the pimples have either disappeared completely or appear to be 95% reduced.

I soooo regret not taking before and after pictures. I did this at night and I sure do hope the acne does not reappear in the morning because this just seems too good to be true. I mean wtf, I am amazed amazed amazed.

The lady that helped me at sephora swore by the UFO oil and I am so glad I bought it. I initially went in to buy the UFO oil and this saturn mask and asked her if she recommended the UFO oil or the multivitamin oil and she swore by the UFO oil and it did not disappoint.

i’m not usually the review leaver more than i am the reader but i’ve decided that this has been and probably will forever be a staple for me. i got it as a sample and didn’t touch it for a while but started breaking out very bad out of nowhere and nothing else was working for me.

i am very prone to breakouts, have combo to oily skin, and felt more or less defeated so in deciding nothing else could really go more wrong with my skin and was grasping at straws for what i could try (on hand before the full send) i did it.

the first night i tried it i remember waking up dreading to see how much worse everything got but my face already looked less irritated and red which for me ESPECIALLY with redness is not too common and it could’ve been the just waking up but it stayed that way even after washing my face in the AM.

i’ve become addicted and buy it in advance to make sure i’m never without it, i even keep it chillin in the box, with the amount of traveling it does with me it’s nice to know it’s in a safe space/won’t get wasted from an accidental leak/or crushed.

i might just be neurotic at this point but this product has really changed my life. earlier on when i was still skeptical i would go a night or two without it and the difference is immediate and very apparent.

if this ever gets discontinued my skin will perpetually never be the same/as clear and calm as it is now. i’ve tried so many (too many, really) things over the years and nothing has ever been able to hook me like this and i wish i was exaggerating.

It’s billed as a multifaceted way to quickly fight the look of dullness, dark spots, and discolorations.

And it’s $85 full-price. But is it worth the coin??? NGL, I had this serum on my backburner until my esthetician said that higher Vitamin C concentrate equals less breakouts. This was the only bottle I had on hand that clearly enumerated the Vit C percentage, and it was very high.

Cheers for brand transparency! Unlike many other serums containing Vitamin C, this one is shelf stable, which means I don’t have to worry too much about it going rancid. The creamlike texture is incredibly gentle and provides hydration.

With this and my toner mist, I skip a moisturizer in the morning and head right to sunscreen after this serum. I love these precious extra minutes! It contains glycolic acid, which gently clears out pores without bothering my sensitive skin.

In fact, it was another ingredient recommended by my esthetician to deal with stubborn blackheads. The TL;DR? If you are acne-prone and looking to treat dark spots and prevent sun-related aging, this is a great product.

If you can get this without breaking the bank, I do suggest it.

I really love how this oil calms my skin, and my favorite way to use it is after doing a chemical peel because using it after deep exfoliation really lets the ingredients sink in and work their magic! I have dry skin with a little acne from time to time and this really helps keep my skin hydrated.

I use it at night, once or twice a week after exfoliation and my 47 year old skin is glowing and young looking. The only thing I don’t love is that it takes a long time to sink in. I’ve read so many reviews where people use it before makeup and I can’t imagine doing that! For me, it gradually sinks in overnight for beautiful results in the morning.

I would also add that I only use it when I’m going to wash my hair in the morning as it makes my hair greasy if it touches my face. I wouldn’t balk at the price as it literally takes 2 drops to fully cover my face and neck, and I almost worry about it turning rancid before I can use it up, although I don’t know if that’s a thing with this oil.

I have been using the Badger’s cleansing oil before this one. Badger’s is very good IMO, I switch to this one just because this is cheaper and I just wanna try out something new. This one is good too cleanses well and everything works just like the Badger’s, however the consistency of this one is less watery/ oily/ spreadable(?) than the Badger’s one.

It feels a tad bit thicker but it works just as good! But I prefer a glass bottle like the Badger’s instead of this plastic bottle.

Literally, the best cleanser I have ever used. I have sensitive, dry and oily, and hormonally acne prone skin. I am also aging. so this stuff is amazing. Use hot water with it for a super deep clean and use cooler water to retain more moisture.

My skin hasn’t been this supple and clear for over 10 years.

I love this cleansing oil. It is so moisturizing and gives me a quick Spa Moment in the evening (and some mornings). It feels really good to place a hot washcloth over your face with this oil on and breathe in and out for a few minutes.

It sounds silly, but it works like magic as a quick re-set. The scent is divine and will relax your whole body.

This is a nice facial oil for acne prone skin. The scent isn’t overpowering, even with the tea tree oil. I can’t say for sure that this helped clear up my acne, but it does add some nice hydration in addition to acne fighting properties.

My skin was super dry and flaky from all of the spot treatments, so I liked that I could use this in the AM and PM to help reduce the dryness and redness.

I received the trial version of this oil in the recent goody bag and have been using it for a while. While I personally like the smell of this oil, I have to wonder about its efficacy – a nice smell is not a reason to buy skincare products.

It’s basically a bunch of potentially irritant essential oils in a pomegranate oil base, so if you have sensitive/allergy-prone skin, this will not be the best product for you, given that essential oils are very concentrated and they agitate the skin.

It might feel good on the skin and smell amazing, but it may lead to skin sensitivity in the long run. I also find the “Why it’s cult” description rather misleading – essential oils do not carry vitamins (they are expelled during the process), especially not Vitamin C which is water-soluble.

Might be appropriate for insensitive, dry skin as an occasional treat but I wouldn’t use it daily – or at all. I appreciate the effort and wholesomeness of the company but if you’re looking for a skincare miracle, this is probably not it.

I never felt the need to leave a review on something I bought, though I buy a ton of skincare stuff, (until now) I have mixed skin, oily but also dry around my nose, forehead. It was a nightmare to find something that suits it.

Till I found this oil. It’s a miracle for my skin, I have had it for a couple of weeks now, it changed the appearance and texture of my skin completely. I m not gonna use anything else again. Definitely gonna buy it again.

Having been fairly active in the skin care community for over a year, I’ve seen a lot of conflicting thoughts over Go-To skincare. There definitely seems to be a cult following on one side of the line, with other people being staunchly opposed to the brand because of all the essential oils/ingredient list on the other side.

I was very skeptical of this brand and wouldn’t have tried it if it wasn’t for one of my friends (who is a cult follower and swears by this product). When I originally opened it, I was quite nervous as there was a very strong smell (it smells quite nice, but more like one of the essential oil rollers I put on my pressure points before bed to help me sleep).

I was extremely nervous I was going to breakout and it was going to make my skin go crazy, so I introduced it slowly (and hesitantly) – it’s now been a couple of weeks, and I’m currently applying it every night.

I really like it. I’ve gotten quite used to the smell and it’s actually relaxing putting it on before bed (I use it as the last step as I have an oil-free, gel-based moisturiser, but check the go-to website for instructions on where to use it in your skin routine).

It’s quite a light oil, so it doesn’t feel super heavy or like it’s clogging my pores, but definitely feels very moisturising. I started using it because my skin was very dry due to cold weather – I was also surprised that it didn’t irritate my red/dry patches – and it has done wonders (no more red, flaky skin!).

I have also noticed some improvements with my overall skin tone (not so red and uneven, although I have been using the Summer Fridays CC Me Serum at the same time). Despite still remaining skeptical of the rest of the Go-To line (I’m happy with my other products and don’t feel like I need to try more of this range), I have definitely been converted for this face oil.

My skin can be sensitive and was very dry and I haven’t had any issues (or any breakouts) since using this. It would be my top face oil and I will likely be repurchasing when I finish this bottle (I bought the full size one as the mini wasn’t available).

Got hooked off of a sample. Im just shy of 60. Menopausal/Post Menopausal. I got the dreaded beard. Along with horrible chin acne and thin dry skin. I kid you not, 4 days of mixing a couple drops of the sample with my moisturizer am & pm, Im shocked.

My chin acne is gone 75% the hair is softer. But my over all skin on my face, neck and chest is the smoothest its been since I was a baby. Now don’t freak out because its an oil. I spent my whole life trying to keep the oil off my face.

This is different, my skin drinks it. Luckly I have enough fat my wrinkles are minimal but I love it around my eyes. I have severe allergies, even on many meds my eyes run constantly. This is so soothing.

I have never loved a product more. I have zero time, a million kids and haven’t slept in approx 6 years. My skin looks like a leather handbag you left in the sun for a decade and I have only ever had a strict ragime of cleanser/moisturizer because, life.

Enter- Face Hero. I was sceptical, did I mention my starting point? And also, not a fan of 13 step facial routines. So adding an “unnecessary” oil was a lot to handle. But this product is the jam. My skin was bright and moisturized and delicious.

I want to bathe in this. I want to only ever be in front of a mirror applying this and breathing in it’s intoxicating aroma of magic. Worth it and more. Treat yourself.

I was new to facial oils and having oily skin, was very sceptical of using it. This was the second oil I tried and I will never look back! I use this day and night. Sometimes I mix it with my liquid foundation.

I love it. I adore the smell. It makes me feel relaxed. It does absorb onto the skin very well. I use 4 drops and rub my hands together to warm up the oil and activate the ingredients, then I press my hands over my face.

It’s my little bit of luxury and relaxation. This has never made me breakout, in fact my skin has never looked better. I used to get very oily t-zone. This was always obvious towards the end of my 13 hour working day, but I don’t get this any more.

I have been using the same bottle of this oil for what feels like ages and I’m only half way through it. My pores also look smaller. I just love everything about this and can’t recommend it enough. I have tried oils since at triple the price, but This is the best in my opinion and I will continue to buy it.

I have combination skin and I like to add 2 drops of this oil in with my moisturiser either in the morning or at night time because I find it works best for me when I apply it like that. This oil absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin looking or feeling oily.

It doesn’t really have too much of an oily consistency. It’s feels like a nice serum to me and it’s quite thin in consistency. It smells botanical to me and I can definitely pick up on the chamomile that’s in it.

It has a relaxing smell and I do find that if I apply it at night time before bed it does help me to unwind and relax. I have only been using this in my routine for a few weeks now and I have noticed my skin always looks glowy/dewy.

But never oily. I’ve also a noticed a reduction in the amount of redness that I get and my skin looks brighter and feels calmed. I’m looking forward to continuing using this oil over the coming months.

When I was in my 20’s I suffered from acne and excess oily skin. I began seeing an aesthetician monthly for facial treatments. At the time I also started using this oil. My facialist really noticed a decrease in oil production in my skin.

In addition the oil leaves my skin soothed and comforted from some of the dehydration that takes place from acne treatments. I continue to keep this on hand and use several nights a week after toning and before moisturizer.

As a person who suffers with very temperamental combination skin, there are few products I can use that don’t make my combination skin worse. To find a product that helps tackle my skin (& frequent breakouts) is very hard to say the least! So when I saw a tutorial of a lady with a similar skin type using face oil, I gasped at the idea, at first anyway.

After developing some drier & oiler patches of late and failing to find any home remedies or expensive (or high-street) products that work, I thought back to the oil & decided to take the plunge! The price led me to believe this would be another failed attempt at having even okay skin, I did think I would be chucking away money on a useless product, but I needed to do something.

It arrived very quickly and although at first I was a little dumbfounded as to how I apply it, I found the instructions and went right ahead! So the bottle design could definitely be improved, but that wasn’t my concern! I used 3 tiny droplets.

They smelled very natural and divine; like a better version of bio oil, without the greasy weird texture! I rubbed it in my hands a little and applied it to a freshly wiped face. I worried while waiting to see how my skin would respond! Within only a few minutes of getting changed and coming back to the bathroomI was truly amazed.

My skin looked the healthiest it’s looked in a VERY long time! No negative reactions had happened and it had absorbed beautifully! My oil patches where tamed, mattefied and soothed, my dry patches were perfectly hydrated and smoothed, so much so I no longer had those first signs of aging! It stayed like this, even though I was running around doing housework for 4 hours before applying makeup and going out.

When I eventually applied makeup, I found it went on so much easier and more even than ever before. My skin looked healthy and dewy before and after. In spite of being out in bad weather for the rest of the day, I arrived home (4 hours after going into cold, drizzly weather) and was REALLY shocked to see my makeup was still perfectly in place, nothing had faded or smudged and my face looked INCREDIBLY HEALTHY & PERFECTLY BALANCED!!! Along side that, I have had no breakouts from using it! This is my first time using this product, but I’ve spent a lot of years battling very combination, scarred skin and I’m honestly so impressed! I feel I just may have a product of a lifetime and to anyone who has a similar skin type, who has looked far and wide for something to create healthier skin, I’d HIGHLY recommend just giving this product a try! Everyone is different and reacts differently yes, but for similar skin types I believe I won’t be the only happy buyer! XX.

I bought this product just because I was interested in trying out a facial oil, and I was really scared it’d break out my acne prone skin. Boy was I really shook and happy when it didn’t break me out – it actually made the tiny bumps all over my forehead and the acne on my cheeks disappear almost completely! I once stopped using this for just over a week or so and noticed that I started to break up a lot on both areas so I came here because now I really want to buy an another bottle.

This is a must have for a clear skin for me it seems. The bottle also lasts a really long time, I use 3-4 drops before the bed everyday and have done so for way over 6 months yet the bottle is only halfway done?? Another good thing about this is that since it is more of a dry oil, it won’t feel really oily and heavy on the skin which you will probably like if you have an oily skin at all.

The only thing I’d say about this is that if you have a dry skin at all, this probably won’t be moisturizing enough for you since it is meant for combination to oily skin types. Another thing is that you can’t really use it under foundation in the morning (at least I couldn’t) because it’ll make it break apart throughout the day.

Overall I’d really recommend this product! I cannot promise it’ll work for you just because it worked really well for me, but it isn’t that pricey comparing it to Farsali’s oils for example. If it ends up working for you the price will seem really cheap because it really does last you a long time (unless you use like 10 drops at a time lol).

I use this in a mixture with Aveeno lotion and it is the best face cream I have ever used. I love the smell of this oil, it is slightly floral and musky, not like a bitter herb smell. It is lovely to use alone, and only a few drops are needed, so it lasts months if used alone.

I have been using this for years, and really notice how dry, tight, and old my skin feels when I try other face creams compared to my mixture. Mixing it with the Aveeno takes away some of the oily’ness, so it’s ok to use as a day or night cream.

The price for 3 bottles here is outstanding! This is very expensive in the shops.

Recently I was given the opportunity to try this wonderful Symbiome Response004 Oil in exchange for honest review. I was pleased to see it is lightweight and does not have a strong scent. I began applying a couple drops twice a day and noticed my skin looked less red and looked smoother.

This has been the best product for me. I have dry skin (except the nose which is more oily), sensitive and tends to be red and breakout. I tries so many products and with this I stoped searching. My skin feels and looks healthier with this oil.

The smell may take getting used to but it is not bad, and it is natural and subtle, which is important to me too. I don’t have a “before and after” but the results are good, which why I am staying with this product (and other products from Symbiome) despite the cost.

I use the 001 each am. It is light and works well under The One for all day protection. My mascara stays set, which older eyes appreciate. I use the 002 to nourish and build moisture under my fave, 003, which are my new nighttime oil rituals.

003 is aroma therapy married to golden healing dew. I can no longer live happily without Symbiome.

Disclaimer, Jenna is a friend, but I had never used her products until I had a terrible break out after some hormonal swings (am 35, still breaking out, yep. ) and figured it can’t get worse, so I will try the oil.

With acne prone skin, I have never dared put oil on my face. I’ve tried Acutane, benzoyl peroxide, antibacterials, etc – my whole life, one thing or another. People would recommend alternative topicals, but I just would mutter – you don’t understand my skin, it needs the heavy stuff.

Anyway, cut to literally ONE DAY after using Balance – and holy smokes I wish I had taken a before and after photo for you. I still cannot believe that Balance was so effective. It chilled my skin OUT.
