20 Best Oil For Perineal Massage (2022 Updated)

I didnt know this at the time of purchasing but you can buy regular almond oil or any other kind to conduct perineum massage so this is rather overpriced. All the same, I used it from 36weeks of pregnancy and used the instructions YouTube tutorials in the end my perineum area didnt tear during labour though i dont know how much this helped.

I used this from 36 weeks preparing for my first baby who was bigger than expected and then had a shoulder dystocia during labour and came away from hospital with no stitches, or even cuts or tears!! This stuff is absolutely a miracle! 100% recommend!.

I’ve been using this oil for a week now and although I cannot predict its effect, I must say is smells amazing and it’s super confortable to use. With a good massage, all the blood really heats the area and it doesn’t burn or anything else, very happy with it.

This massage oil has a wonderful scent for every lavender lover. I was worried the peppermint might be too heavy in fragrance or have an overly STRONG natural cooling effect on my muscles, but overall the peppermint wasn’t strong enough to leave a lasting impact on my muscles.

I would have loved to have a tad more peppermint in the bottle for the natural impact it does have on our muscles but more than anything, I am happy the peppermint wasn’t over-powering. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

I would recommend this massage oil because the ingredients are kind to the body and lastly who doesn’t want to feel like they are laying in a field of lavender?!.

I received this product compliments of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I like that it has multiple purposes – both to moisturize and nourish the growing belly/prevent stretch marks and as a perineal massage oil.

I have been applying products to my belly my whole pregnancy to hopefully help avoid stretch marks, and this is another one to add to the list as I haven’t seen any appear since I started using the oil – it could be used every day if you wanted.

My favorite thing about the oil is that it’s made with 100% natural ingredients (of which 99. 6% are organic). I try to use natural products on a regular basis, and I feel this is ESPECIALLY important during pregnancy, so it was nice to have that reassurance.

The box also mentions that the packaging is from responsible sources – another plus in my book. I didn’t think the oil smelled, which was nice. It is a little oily, but. it IS oil after all, and it really wasn’t that bad, and it was definitely easy to apply.

I do think you may need more than the suggested 2-3 drops depending on how big your belly is or how much oil comes out in the “drops”, and I think that the bottle could be more effective with a small pump rather than a lid with a hole in it, but that is a minor detail.

I can’t speak to its effectiveness in the perineal prep department as I have not had the baby yet, but I am hopeful it was useful and will continue to be useful for recovery as well.

TranslateShow in original languageHabe das Massageöl nun einige Wochen in Gebrauch und bin sehr zufrieden damit. Es lässt sich sehr gut verteilen und zieht auch schnell ein, sodass man nicht lange warten muss bis man sich wieder ankleiden kann.

Ich hatte in meiner ersten Schwangerschaft das Öl von Weleda und muss sagen, dass es damit länger gedauert hatte bis es eingezogen war und den Geruch fand ich auch nicht soo schön. Das von Hipp riecht nicht so stark, aber auch nicht unangenehm.

Ich benutze es nach dem Duschen auf die nasse Haut, so lässt es es sich gut verteilen und schließt Feuchtigkeit gut ein. Klar ist man danach etwas schmierig aber ich lasse es während des weiteren frisch machen einziehen und den Rest tupfe ich mit einem Handtuch ab.

Die Haut fühlt sich danach super an.

Jetzt aber zur negativen Seite. Das Öl ist sehr leicht und meiner Meinung nach nicht reichhaltig genug. Zudem habe ich davon extrem trockene und juckende Haut am Bauch bekommen so dass ich doch wieder zu einer anderen Marke gewechselt habe.

Fazit: Wer ein leichtes, schnell einziehendes Öl sucht, ist mit diesem gut beraten. Allen anderen empfehle ich eher andere Marken auszuprobieren.

Bouteille super pratique. Une huile qui s’étend bien. Pénètre rapidement dans la peau. Ne tache pas. Donne du confort aux muscles lorsque les douleurs deviennent aigus. Une odeur de gingembre très agréable.

This is fantastic stuff, I get a lot of skin irritations and like small scabs and this clears it in no time. good for fungus in toenails as well and a fraction of the price of propper stuff but his works better than that!.

Im a licensed massage therapist. After using many different brands and types of massage oil in my 11 years of profession I picked this particular brand and mixed. I have been using this oil now for over 5 years.

I bought it in gallon size and in average it last for a year or so depending on how busy my schedule was. I like it because it is unscented and no oily smell and light. I like it best also because it does not stain my sheets.

I had many ruined sheets from oil stains from other oils I used. I also have no complaints from clients about this oil causing them allergies, old and young alike. So believe me this is the best massage oil, in my opinion.

I’ve used clear results for years without any negative issues. Universal might want to check into other shipping companies, however, since my last order’s box was heavily damaged upon arrival. So surprised my items inside weren’t damaged based on how bad the box looked.

I know this likely wasn’t Universal’s problem but they should know how items are arriving.

As a Professional Massage Therapist, this is a top notch brand when it comes to offering the best in massage oils. A little goes a long way. I prefer to purchase the unscented brand in order to offer a variety of scents by adding different essential oils to smaller bottles.

It’s a little pricey but well worth it.

I have been using this Weleda stretch mark massage oil daily over the last couple of weeks. I love the feel of this oil. It is very absorbent compared to other body oils I have used, and it leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized.

Is fantastic for rubbing “breathless” oil between my toes after a shower. Also keeps heels from cracking and skin soaks up this wonderful oil to make my feet feel better. I have Parkinson’s disease and usually cannot smell products, but i can say I love the smell of this wonderful “Breathless” Aesop product.

I was excited to receive this coco butter. I an a regular customer of Now products. The jar is small. I wasn’t expecting for it to be this small. I hope Now makes a bigger size jar. The smell of it is like real coco and very chocolaty.

One of my complaints is that to get it out is rough. It is hard as a rock. Like many other viewers mentioned. I pick mine w/ a knife and put it in a small plastic container and warm it up to use. Even when it becomes solid again I take out the coco butter and use it like a bar of soap and rub it all over my body and it melt to my skin.

I think I wi use this method better. Other than that good coco butter that is all natural without any chemicals.

Absolutely love the smell of this oil. Its a 10/10 in that category. It also is nice and smooth when applied. Drawbacks: its a little bit runny so be careful when pouring some out or you will empty the bottle.

Excellent natural edible oil with great scent, taste & lubricity! It’s the favorite one of both my wife & I (out of many we’ve tried). Also recommend cold-pressed organic macadamia nut & avocado oils from Australia (Mico Naturals), if you can find either one.
