20 Best Oil For Straightening Hair (2022 Updated)

I received this in an Ipsy bag and have been using it for several years now. I always buy several bottles at once. After washing my hair, I apply it to the bottom half of my hair starting at the ends.

Not only does it act like a detangler, it leaves my super long and fine hair really soft without feeling or looking greasy (the one with the blue cap is intended for a shine look. I prefer the silver cap one.

). This product has definitely improved the health of my locks. I have given away bottles because I believe in this product and it’s instant results. It will change your hair game and life.

My hair is smoother and fuller when I use it. When I put it on after shampooing it always feels so heavy and oily but I rinse it lightly to help distribute it through my hair and scalp then put on conditional as usual.

I dont normally blow dry but instead comb my hair into desired directions then put in a ponytail which I twirl astound my finger to creat a curl and let dry. It keeps its shape after it dries and then I brush it! Really helps to control frizz.

My hair seems healthier.

I air dry my hair all the time, and this product has made my hair so manageable in the process. It has actually improved my hair over time. I also use the AG Hair shampoo and conditioner, and this brand of products has made me a believer in making sure I use good products in my hair.

I put this oil on after towel drying (sometimes barely towel drying, depending on how late I am for work), follow it up with Deva Curl Wave Maker and I’m out the door. Sometimes, I’ll use AG Hair Texture Gloss on my ends for 2nd or 3rd day hair to refresh it, but otherwise, my hair air dries smooth and totally manageable! I have made it a point to make sure I have an extra on hand just in case!.

I bought the small trial size of this product so I could try it out before investing in the bigger size. I have only used this three times and what a difference! (Full disclosure: I also bought and used the trial size pack of AG’s color care shampoo/conditioner/split end treatment which I also love!) My hair is shoulder-length, color-treated, thick and wavy with a fine texture.

To get sleek hair, it takes me 15-20 minutes of contant blowdrying with a flat brush and a large round brush. I had read about argan oil from a couple of haircare blogs and they raved about it, so I thought I would give it a try.

I put about 5 pumps of the argan oil in my hair before blow-drying and it seemed to protect my hair from the heat and also maintained moisture. My hair was shinny, hydrated and glossy, and didn’t feel brittle or dried-out like it usually does.

LOVE THIS STUFF!!! The argan oil also seems to help prevent frizziness from humidity which is helpful during the summer. The oil smells fine and doesn’t leave your hair greasy like other oil products I’ve tried.

This is my first AG purchase and I’m excited to try their other products! The sample size will last through about 3-4 uses for my hair, but that’s enough for me to make a decision and I will definitely be buying the bigger bottle! (I’ll just refill my trial size bottle for traveling.

) My only “con” is the price, but if it works (which it does!), I’m willing to pay it.

I’ve only heard good things about this hair oil so when the chance came to test it out for myself, I jumped at the opportunity. In the process of trying this, I think I may have found a new favorite hair oil! I can’t believe I never used it before.

I have thick, wavy/curly porous hair that drinks up moisture like it is its job, and frizzes up at the first sign of humidity. Finding a hair oil that is both nourishing but not greasy is tough. This hair oil is very runny and lightweight, but don’t let that fool you—it does a great job of smoothing, adding luster, and adding nutrients to the follicle (without silicones!).

Smells amazing too. I just wish this came in a bigger size, the bottle is rather small! If you are a curly girl or have dry or damaged hair, this one is for you! You won’t regret trying it. *gifted for the purposes of review.

My favorite oil. My hair was damaged from bleaching it and this helped so much. It makes my hair feel so soft and look so smooth. It smells great. Its super lightweight and doesnt get too oily. And a little goes a long way so it lasts me awhile too.

I love it and would definitely recommend it.

This is a nice light weight serum for your hair if you have a thick/kinky texture, if your hair is fine i would use it sparingly. This is a great heat protectant and a little bit goes a long way. Its smells good and provides a nice healthy sheen to the hair.

This is the best hair product ever. I use a couple drops in the morning to smoothe out my haystack hair. It is the best I have used in 30 years!! Keep making it.

I swear by everything DryBar, and I was so excited when I finally added this oil to my collection! I have naturally curly hair, so it gets pretty dry. After I wash and style my hair, if I leave it natural, I will add a few drops of this JUST to my ends.

You don’t want to add it to your roots because you’ll be a big oily mess. If I straighten, crimp, wave, curl, or use any sort of hot tool on my hair, most days I’ll wait until the second or third day to apply this to my ends.

It really just depends on how dry my ends are feeling. Obviously this isn’t a miracle cure for split ends, BUT it does help smooth them down and calm frizz until your next wash and your next cut. This bottle will last you a very long time as not much product is needed.

I have pretty thick hair that hits about mid back, and I believe I purchased this back in January. It is now mid July, and it doesn’t look like I’ve even used any product! Perfect oil to keep your hair healthy and nourished.

I have fine hair that’s extremely frizzy and curly in its natural state. I blowdry it smooth, but the ends and lengths always pouf out. When I first used this oil, I thought it was too heavy, even though I didn’t use a lot.

One tiny pump per hand, just enough to cover one fingertip, and rake through. It still made my hair look a bit greasy. However, I then did a full bleach and tone on my hair to go platinum blonde, resulting in damage.

After that, the oil was brilliant at calming down my ends and making them look less fluffy. My takeaway is that the more damaged and frizzy and uncontrollable your hair is, the better this oil will work.

I’m not sure if it would be so great for fine hair that’s not very frizzy in the first place. Like all oils, you only need to use a TINY bit. Start with no more than two small pumps. So many oils claim to be weightless, but ultimately, they’re still oil, and it’s their nature to be oily! The good thing is that this bottle will last forever because you need so little.

It’s scented with the signature Drybar scent,which I love. Also, it’s clear, which is a plus for people with very light blonde hair. Oils that are yellow can discolor porous platinum blonde. This oil isn’t weightless, but it’s probably as weightless as an oil can get.

Overall, it’s a win for my dry, damaged hair!.

Love this super lightweight hair serum. It adds very lightweight shine, doesn’t have an offensive or strong smell, and works great on either dry or wet hair to lightly detangle and add shine. I also have the L’anza Keratin Treatment (which I think is also good although heavier than this one with a stronger fragrance) but much prefer this one for both the scent and overall performance.

I’ve purchased numerous containers of this over the years and still adore this product! It makes my hair glossy and super pretty with less fly aways but with no heaviness.

My hair is so silky soft and shiny! I also use this to finish my hair and add hydration throughout the day.

I love that it has added heat and UV protection! For those with fine hair like me it may feel heavy immediately after applying but give it a few minutes and your hair will soak it up! Highly recommend! I use in conjunction with the Lanza Keratin Healing Oil Shampoo and Conditioner and it’s incredible.

Lanza has single-handedly saved my bleached and heat damaged hair. I will use this oil for the rest of time!.

Ni vet så de luktar hos gammelmormor gör de hon har i sitt hår har hon använt senn1783 o tänker INTE byta. Barndomsminne absolut. Jag vill bara inte lukta så😂 så nu får jag ta några droppar kerastase natt serum i efter för doftens skull för det är en doft jag mer än gärna vill uppnå.

Så är ni känsliga mot tant doft köp inte denna. Men sen tycker nog inte alla dom mig. Om vi bara utgår från oljan hade den fått 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Om vi går på doften minus 3⭐️⭐️⭐️ Därför blev de 3 st. Tack o lov tycker vi alla olika.

Волосы действитель как после салона, выглядят очень роскошно и достойно. Невероятный блеск и рассыпчатые, мягкие хочется их постоянно трогать. Запах держится 2-3 дня на волосах, приятный не резкий. Мне посоветовали данную продукцию в салоне, мой стилист.

И я очень рада, что попробовала. Ваши волосы скажут Вам только Спасибо. Но работает уход только в комплексе. Получаю много комплиментов про волосы, жду теперь весну/лето потому что на солнце будет ещё круче подчёркивать блеск и ухоженность.

У меня натуральный цвет волос, светло русые, на протяжение 4-х лет делала ботокс и кератин. Перепробовала до этого очень много люксовой косметики для волос такие как: Keratherepy ( Шампунь, маска, спреи синяя и розовая коллекция) GKhair ( золотая серия и для питания, и были средства для стайлинга ) Inoar (все серии кроме блонда и для жирных волос ) Nyce New York cosmetic.

И решила, что остановлюсь на Lanza. Это любовь ❣️❣️❣️ Благодарю мейкапу за доставку, как всегда быстро и за подарочки. Единственное красивые бутылочки перематываете все скотчем, теряется внешний вид.

А так рекомендую.

Cant say enough about this product!!!! IT IS AWESOME!!! Wish I would have found this stuff so much sooner. I have thick, coarse, unruly hair that is somewhat wavy, more like lumpy. It takes a lot of heat to style my hair.

And then it’s still frizzy and not so straight after using the highest heat setting on my hair dryer and straightener. Someone told me about this stuff. I ordered it thinking “great, another product to add to my collection.

” Well to my surprise, IT WORKED!!! I use it on my hair when wet, about 2 pumps. And then about 2 more pumps before I style when dry. Not greasy or oily at all. I use it every day. My hair loves it. It has transformed my hair , and it gets my hair straighter than it has ever been.

Also works great when curling your hair. It works great with any hairstyle. No frizz, looks shiny and healthy, even helps on humid days. Why would you not want to try this stuff?? If it can help my hair, it’s a winner!! I can go on and on but, decide for yourself.

This hair oil is just an expensive bottle of silicones. I have nothing against silicones, they can do wonders to your hair if used correctly. Thanks to this product, your hair will look shiny, slippery, will not tangle as much, be protected against harsh weather and heat.

So why 2 stars? The ingredient list is very basic. The first 3 ingredients are silicones, then honey (goodie, but still – cheap ingredient), coconut & sweet almond oils, passion fruit oil (good oils, but still – cheap ingredients), then preservative (adds no value to your hair) & fragrances (adds no value to your hair) & colorants (adds no value to your hair).

You can definitely find cheaper products with silicones, as they are not expensive ingredients in hair care. This brand is all about marketing and you are paying the price for the brand, not for the product.

Save your money if you don’t care about aesthetics and Instagrammabe products.

Love love love this hair oil, although I can see why some people may not like it. Let me start off by saying my hair is DAMAGED. I have really course, wavy black hair that I’ve bleached out and dye pastel colors.

I have pretty short hair so I only need one dropper full, although a little goes a long way so I still think it would be a good choice for people looking to smooth the ends of their longer hair. This is a thick oil, and it has a delicious, sweet honey aroma.

Also, the packaging is GORGEOUS. I use this on top of my leave in conditioner while my hair is still damp, and my hair always feels so smooth and hydrated. Before this I was using the olaplex oil, but there’s a much more noticeable difference in how soft my hair feels with this product.

Recommend if you have dry or damaged hair that needs some TLC, but maybe skip if you have really fine hair or are looking for a product that can be used as a lightweight finishing oil.

Honestly I bought this for the packaging and was totally surprised that the product is phenomenal but the bottle is terrible. I have thick, straight hair that frizzes and tangles easily. Only 1-2 drops, completely coat your hands and run it through lightly and leaves my hair so smooth and shiny.

There’s no noticeable smell from the bottle, but I swear it will randomly catch and waft a really pretty scent trail behind you. The product is a 10 but the packaging is driving me so crazy I almost rated it even lower.

The opening is so small, you’re guaranteed to get the oil all over the bottle when you remove or replace the dropper, it’s a huge mess. The plastic/metal band then gets so slippery that it becomes impossible to open.

It’s such a shame because the bottle is so pretty and the product is amazing.

I liked this product and its composition very much. Hydrolyzed Silk for Shine and Smoothness, Panthenol – this component helps to retain moisture in the hair, even when the hair is dried with a hair dryer.

Black Seed Oil is working like an antioxidant. I use it before shampoo and conditioner, when hair is dried with a hairdryer about 80%, than i use ceramic round brush to make hair styiling. In the end i use hair straightener.

Smell of the product is something incredible, i would like muself exactly the same perfume 😂😂😂.

The best trait oil I have ever used. Revitalize and fortifies my hair and instant smooth and shiny Ness. I don’t feel like it leaves anything behind like residue and the smell is amazing, pure luxury.

This is my favorite hair oil. This is my second bottle. It smells great. I apply it to smoothe my hair. It does not make it greasy. I wear it when I want natural curls, or when I straighten my hair. It smells great.

After a disastrous perm and a brutal winter, my normally healthy, shiny hair has never been so dry. I purchased this, along with a variety of deep conditioners in hopes of revitalizing my hair and this was by far my favorite purchase.

I had never used a hot oil treatment before and I found this incredibly easy to apply and wash out. This left my hair incredibly soft, shiny and it smelled so good afterwards! The price is a little steep for such a small amount, but I got 2-3 uses out of this so it wasn’t too bad!.

I just used this for the first time last weekend. My hair is damaged from over coloring and bad coloring. This product was a dream! My hair soaked it up. I put a bag around it and left it in for 30 minutes.

My hair looked smooth like a childs again. I actually went to work the next monday and told everyone about it. Tonight I was looking for it at Target and was disappointed that it was sold out as I was looking forward to putting it in my hair again tonight.

Around this time year I decide to bleach my hair at home. Worst decision of my life. Anyways, my hair was so fried and unmanageable that I literally couldn’t do anything with it. I ran across the Hask brand and decided to give it a shot! I was glad that I did! I would do one of these hot oil treatments a week and it allowed me to actually get a brush through my matted rats nest! Lol👍.
