20 Best Oil Wipes For Face (2022 Updated)

These wipes are ok. I don’t recommend using wipes over their micellar cleansing water as the wipes have less product, don’t do that well of removing make up and are terrible for the environment. I also found that these wipes can burn my sensitive eye area when removing make up.

These are not the worst wipes as the ingredients are quality, but I found that these don’t work as well as others like Neutrogena make up wipes. I would recommend these to those who like wipes just to refresh the face, but not to remove make up or to cleanse the face as a secondary cleansing step will be needed.

I have used other wipes in the past and was not very impressed with the results. Some of the wipes used were expensive and from high-end brands. They; either irritated my eyes, stripped my skin, left a residue, were not moist enough and needed multiple wipes to get a decent amount of makeup off, or dried out before I could use them due to poor packaging design.

I saw this product reviewed by a beauty influencer on YouTube on an empties video, and by far this was her favorite product. I had just purchased a one step cleanser, toner, and makeup remover from E L in a foam format (and could not return it fast enough).

Their rep told me how wonderful it was, but it burned my eyes and left a sticky residue. I finally got my hand on these and am thrilled with the product performance. I only need to use one wipe for my entire face (takes off long wear products, setting spray, you name it.

The product is soft, moist, and so soothing on my skin. I do not feel stripped at all after using it. I used a toner after to see how much makeup might be left after the first use, and there was nothing, and I mean nothing on the cotton round.

My only disappointment is the quantity per package; there are 30/31 days in most months and these come in a 25 pack. It would be great if the packs came in 30 and the double pack would then be 60. Sorry for being long winded, but I wanted to share my experience with others (I am 47, normal to combination skin, have sensitive eyes; some products will cause break outs even though I am not acne prone).

The product is fantastic on my sensitive eyes, does not cause me to break out, and does not interact with my prescription retinol (on my skin – I am not making a product claim, just stating my personal experience).

Wonderful product, and truly enjoy my cleanse (cool and refreshing). Super easy removal of a full face of makeup including long wear lipsticks, mascara, primer, setting powder and setting spray. Leaves me feeling hydrated and fresh.

I don’t really use wipes much, only when I’m wearing a full face of makeup (and it doesn’t happen as much these days!). I use these as the first cleanse to remove the majority of the makeup before I jump in the shower or wash with a gel cleanser.

It actually cleans my face really well and doesn’t irritate my skin at all. It’s definetly very kind to the skin and has no nasties. Some days when I’m too tired I don’t cleanse after these and I feel comfortable knowing my skin is probably very clean already.

Witch hazel has several really beneficial effects due to it being an astringent agent-it tightens the skin. It is also said to reduce acne, moisturize dry skin, and provide anti-aging properties, along with reducing the puffy eye effect.

I’m all for those effects. What I DIDN’T LIKE- the cloths seemed kind of dry, so I added some micellular water to the whole package to make them wetter. That was the only thing I didn’t like. The package says this product will make your skin “refreshingly clean”, and it really does.

I could NOT believe ALL THE MAKEUP that came off my face when using these clothes (even though it didn’t look as if I was wearing much before I cleaned my face). What I like about these cloths is that they have an exfoliating surface that truly deep cleans.

Honestly, it DID LOOK as if my puffy eyes looked less puffy. I need all the help I can get for that issue!This product has some aloe in it, too. As with most cleansing cloths, you don’t have to rinse.

I think I’ll keep using witch hazel cloths to keep my skin looking more tightening.

Definitely have been loving these wipes lately. I’ve repurchased them about three times now. I always wash my face after using wipes so I never have gotten any breakouts because of them. They remove all my mascara perfectly.

Sometimes if I have a full beat on I might need too but usually one is enough.

I am absolutely crushed. I have a feeling these will be discontinued soon. They’ve been out of stock at every retailer I’ve checked across several counties and states, along with all online retailers including Amazon.

These are amazing. I love how clean my skin feels after using. I typically cleanse and do a full routine after using, but on those lazy occasions (or prior to spray tanning or on-the-go) where I cannot cleanse, my skin still felt cleaner than most every other formulae I’ve tried across several brands.

The best part about this formula is that they are OIL-FREE. That was the initial draw for me because I wear lash extensions, which requires an eye makeup remover/wipe with out oil. The packages stay damp for a while and seem to last longer than other brands and formulas.

I will be heartbroken if these are discontinued, so cross your fingers in the meantime. I want you to be able to try them too! Let Neutrogena know WE WANT THESE BACK!!.

After many blessed yrs of having pretty clear skin with very few “issues” when I was younger, as soon as I hit about 35 – I noticed my skin starting to change, similar to when my parents began suffering from these lovely conditions lol : Rosacea (my Mom’s – who is 100% Irish) and adult acne (my father – predominantly German/ a little Irish, in case you were curious though I know several ethnicities suffer from acne problems).

FYI : I have combination skin; my T Zone gets super oily (esp during the Summer). I also suffer from dry skin at times (the area can vary but sometimes also in my T Zone, which is weird but true too).

To make matters even more fun, I live in the Midwest (Ohio) where the weather is constantly changing so I’m often having to switch up my skincare routine, based on whatever weather scenario of the day is happening – so, that adds a ton of fun to things too.

:-/ Tips for use: Be gentle when using these wipes; do not use too close to your eyes and definitely don’t “scrub”. Personally, if I’ve worn a lot of make-up that day; I’ll use either a 1/2 or full Neutrogena make-up remover wipe (to get all the “stay put” stuff off) first, *then* I’ll use a 1/2 of 1 of these Grapefruit wipes.

A few, minor “2 cent”/constructive criticism pts: I understand and agree where others have commented about the smell of this product. While the initial grapefruit scent is *amazing*- I noticed as soon as I went to use the wipes on my face, that the scent “changed” and started smelling more chemical-based? (is the best way I can describe it.

If there’s anything that can be done about that in future development – it would make these wipes even better! After trying countless products under the sun, including very gentle ones with “no perfumes/dyes” etc.

I found these wipes to be the best (for me) so far, out of all of them – they have truly been a God-send and I am **praying** they never get discontinued! I have noticed a significant difference in my skin/complexion since using these wipes and I could NOT be happier.

I bought these for my daughter who has sensitive skin. I thought I was buying the oil-free version that she had used for years. She has no acne. One wipe on her face and she was in tears. her skin was stinging and her eyes were watering.

That was a week ago. No make or any type of lotion on her face since. Everything stings. Today she showed me the bright red spots in the same area that she used the wipes. Her forehead, where she also used the wipes has been peeling.

She has a chemical burn from this product. If it doesn’t clear up in two days I will have to take her to the dermatologist for professional treatment. I bought 4 packs by mistake and have since thrown them all away.

So much for a gentle product. Never again.

Everyone in my family likes these—I just wish they didn’t cost as much because we go thru a lot! I originally purchased for tween daughter who has oilier skin and was starting to have breakouts. She is not as good about just washing her face with products at the sink, so at least this is something! She’s an athlete and throws a pack in her gym bag as well and I really think they help.

I try to stick to natural skincare products because I have really sensitive skin and hate highly fragranced things. My skin is dry with the occasional breakout and these work just fine for me too! As for the smell—honestly these do have kind of a weird smell but none of us really mind it.

I can understand why some people might not enjoy using them for that reason. More importantly they make our skin feel nice and clean but don’t at all sting or anything. And try the bar soap of this line—literally the best!.

(’22)IC: Influensters Recommended that I Review: I tried the bar soap for SheaMoisture brand and saw the wipes. This brand is steadily evolving. These wipes have tea tree oil and calendula; the wipes helped to take off everyday dirt that collects on your skin from makeup and anything else.

These wipes are designed for usage without rinsing or towel drying. SheaMoisture brand to me was an added bonus to find helping balance oily skin. I would recommend it to anyone.

First of all, I love the scent of these wipes. They have a nice and soft floral scent but it is not at all overwhelming. The wipes themselves are a little thin, but that’s probably because they are biodegradable.

They also aren’t super moist, but I wouldn’t necessarily say that they are dry. I just don’t see a lot of excess moisture/product on each wipe. When using this wipe i was able to take off my full face of makeup with 1 wipe, while leaving a little mascara residue on my eyes.

I think I would likely have to use 2 wipes to fully remove all traces of makeup from my skin. But since I always wash my face after using makeup wipes, 1 wipe was enough. They feel really nice on the skin and don’t leave any dry or tight feeling afterwards.

They also don’t leave any sort of residue on my skin which is a plus for me, especially if I didn’t want to wash my face afterwards. The packaging is nice and after opening a few times the stickiness is still good and hasn’t lost its grip.

I’ve only use these makeup wipes a few times since I am not currently using makeup daily, so I cannot tell if they are in fact balancing or clarifying. But overall they do feel nice and do a decent job at removing my makeup.

I suffer from facial hyperhidrosis and since moving from MI to FL, my skin has been horrific. I’m on a journey to take better care of my skin (better late than never right🤷🏽‍♀️🙄) and was told I should consider getting a facial wipes to help combate my sweating thought the day.

I really like these wipes as its a quick refresher but my face also doesn’t feel dried out. The smell is pleasant as well. 30 in the pack is a good value for the price ($5. 99 I believe @ Target).

I’m happy I had the opportunity to test this product from Influenster. It’s so hard to choose a makeup removing face wipe because there as so many out there. The packaging is like almost all the others, what I would like to see is a packaging similar to baby wipes, where they have that plastic top to keep them fresh instead of the plastic.

This product was nice as it doesn’t hurt my eyes when scrubbing my makeup off. With others I have found that the ingredients they use often irritate my eyes, and I was happy when this one did not give me that almost stinging feeling.

It took off the majority of my mascara, but it was difficult to get all of it off, especially at the base of my lashes. I do have sensitive skin, so when I used them the first few times they left my cheeks red and slightly irritated.

Nothing too serious, but it has gotten better after a few uses. They’re not over moist which is nice, and I don’t find myself having to force extra wipes back into the package when I take one out. Overall, I think they did a great job, but I personally don’t see myself purchasing these after I finish them.

What I’m trying to say is that I haven’t worn makeup to due to these unfortunate circumstances my first impression of the Shea Moisture African Black Soap Clarifying Facial Wipes, the scent was captivating.

Not at all harsh just simply refreshing. A wonderful scent of African Black Soap, tea tree oil calendula. I have an combo skin so dry and oil depending the season. Definitely recommend these wipes if you have oily skin.

I was so happy to receive these cleansing tissues. Leaders is known for amazing sheet masks, but to see them do cleansing tissues was exciting. These Labotica Argan Oil deep cleansing tissues are perfect for both makeup removal and exfoliation.

The size of the wipe is more than enough to do face, eyes and lips. Its lightly textured so it helps smooth skin with a light exfoliation. The tissues are lightly scented but it dissipates quickly and does not linger after rinsing.

They are tough on makeup removal yet gentle on skin. After cleansing and rinsing, skin is left smooth and soft and radiant. They were also gentle on my eyes and did not irritate them. The only drawback is that the instructions say to rinse after using them.

These wipes are large so I use it as 4 segments: 2 front halves and 2 back halves. I use the first half of the wipe to wipe my entire face to take the bulk of my makeup off. On the next half I go in again to pick up any leftover makeup.

Then on the back half I wipe again, and by the last half my face has no makeup left. I’m happy to say that these did not break me out and that’s a HUGE surprise to me! I’ve tried at least 4 or 5 types of cleansing wipes and each one of them made me break out in small red bumps.

These wipes, however, brought me nothing but a clean face! It’s super gentle on my troubled skin, doesn’t have a strong scent, and performs really well. Would I purchase these? YES!.

So I usually never do reviews because I feel like no company will fulfill the customer service but this really shocked me for aveeno. So I have been using aveeno for years, I have normal to sensitive skin with little to no acne.

I wear light makeup and am a huge go getter for spf. Most of my skin care is all aveeno. Except for my makeup wipes. Before I used normal generic micellar water, but I ran into their makeup wipes specifically for sensitive skin.

I used it and immediately had an allergic reaction under my eyes. I thought maybe I got bit by a mosquito. The next day same thing happened but I pushed that maybe it was something I ate. This went on for about 3-5 days of me breaking out after using the product & I still gave it the benefit of the doubt that it wasn’t the makeup wipes at all.

Once I gave the wipes a break to see if it helped it did. I didn’t get red and get itchy or break out all under my eyes. I am not asking for money back because I absolutely love aveeno and I don’t want this to be the reason why I start to avoid and dislike the brand, but maybe store credit? Or even offer another product that could help? But some help would definitely be appreciated.

I’ve tried a few of the smaller packages before with the other “flavors” such as the grapefruit, cotton, & peach. I just tried the ‘Sensitive Skin – Aloe Vera’ wipes after about 5hrs wearing makeup and I didn’t want to go for Nuetrogena like usual since my face would often be irritated afterwards.

Checking the reviews after my experience I’m surprised to see all the irritation comments!! The towelettes I bought did come with the cotton fibers, and weren’t very thick or wet, but they also removed the layers of makeup I had on with my first wipe, and it didn’t make my face red or warm afterwards.

I used about 3 to take off the majority, and my face didn’t feel uncomfortable even when removing makeup around my eyes. Compared to the citrus options, I truly felt a difference. If you like using wipes to remove mascara and eye liner this works well, but I would still use a facial cleanser afterwards, unless you wanna use another wipe, because the first few I used really did remove it nicely, and I can hardly see the excess darkness around my eyes from the dark makeup! I’m also satisfied that my eyes aren’t irritated or blurry like they would be with a soggy wipe.

A few people mentioned the smell as well, but it isn’t strong. It’s there but it doesn’t evade off the wipe, and you don’t smell it off your face or anything. IMO! Anyways, my skin feels refreshing, but I would still use my cleanser after because I still don’t have complete trust in wipes yet.

I’m really happy that my bare face was revealed quickly with these though, and they don’t carry so many chemicals!! Definitely better than the fruit ones and even compared to the cotton extract wipes I’m still leaning towards these! I am all about sustainability, so I was happy to try these wipes when my usual go-to was out of stock. The first thing I want to mention is, yes, there are brown flecks and black spots on these wipes because they are made from recycled Tshirts.

I wasn’t expecting this, but I also didn’t see the notice in the side of the packaging. This isn’t a big deal to me but, it was …off putting when accompanied by the smell of these wipes. The smell is truly bad.

Kind of sour. Not something I want to put on my face. Also, I wear water proof make up and these towelettes aren’t designed for that. They don’t do a great job and I have to use two sometimes, and I don’t usually do a full face, just my eyes and brows.

I would love to try them all! I bought the cotton senstive wipes because I have very sensitive skin and eczema. These are 98. 5% repurposed cotton and they are accepted by the NEA (national eczema association).

he wipes did feel very wet when I used them on my face. They are loaded with moisture and they take off each and everything from my face in just one go. It took away all the excess oil and sebum from my face which revealed the actual glow of my face.

It took away all the dirt from my face which I could actually see on the wipe itself. It also got me rid of all the make-up be it water-proof or not in a single go. It might take jut 2 gentle swipes to remove the eye make-up.

It left my face squeaky clean and I couldn’t even recognise that I had layers of make-up on! Coming to mattifying my skin, yes it does mattify my skin but not forever. It just keeps the oil at bay for a several hours that’s it.

But overall, I have absolutely no complaints regarding these wipes.

Garnier Has been really impressive since they started transitioning into skin care. They are really trying to keep up with the modern market and doing a great job. I love this micellar cleansing jelly water… Specifically the jelly texture is awesome it feels very cool… And the charcoal is a huge plus.

I never realized how oily I get hours after my makeup application. I never thought about adding these to my makeup bag until seeing how well they absorb oil. I then took a look at myself after so many hours have passed and knew that I may need these on deck.

Boy, are these handy. Towards the end of the afternoon, my face can sometimes get a little shiny if the weather’s very warm or if I’m extra-stressed. These wipes are the perfect solution. They’re very generously sized, and leave my face feeling clean, yet hydrated, and with no more shine.

Parts of my face can be acne-prone, but the salicylic acid in this formula deep-cleans with just a wipe.

Great for busy Mom’s mornings! The MAIN USE of these for me is, eye make-up remover. I have tried so many other brands in a pinch when mine ran out and waiting for the next order, HOWEVER, this sensitive skin formula is the best one out of every other brand I have tried.

I hold one over both eyes folded up in a long strip, to prevent drying out before you cleanse your whole face, for about 20 seconds to help release the mascara and eyeliner then gently pat around the eye area.

These wipes are good. They don’t irritate or dry out my skin, remove makeup well. But I will not purchase again due to packaging. It’s awful. You can never get out a single wipe, and you have to use maximum effort in order to get them out.

Which is not what you want to do at the end of your day. Closing the package? Good luck. It is like that frustrating ziplock bag that you just can’t line up right…. Why have humans relied on wipes for decades and they still have the worst packaging out there??? I don’t understand.

Removed makeup ok but I hate how they leave my skin feeling. I always feel like I’ve got this soap scum feeling after use, like my face isn’t clean. I feel like I need to wash with actual soap afterwards.

Normally I love Burt’s bees because of how natural the products are; these wipes for example are 98. 5% natural with camellia, cucumber, aloe, and sunflower seed oil. But they were a bit pricey in comparison to other brands I like better.

Also, the package doesn’t seal right after you open it so they dry out fast.

Great facial wipe. I bought the peach and Willow and have no problems with them. I use them every other night before bed, but I feel like I can use these daily if need be. After reading the reviews I was a little fearful about everyone saying they burn and things like that, but I never had a problem with burning or swelling of my face.

I don’t even feel the need to put lotion on afterwards or anything, they feel like they moisturize as well as clean. I bought these because since I became pregnant, my face has dried out and started to break out due to sensitivity from my old facial products.

They smell wonderful and at 10 weeks prego with bad morning sickness, smell is a big deal for me. Like I said I had no problem with these and I solved the package problem by putting them in an extra air tight Tupperware container that I had, but I also thought they would probably work well in a diaper wipe tub too if I had an extra one of those.

These had really good reviews at first, so I bought a case they were selling. I wish I didn’t! They dried out my face, which was already dry to begin with. Then the towels dried out, so I had to add water before I could use them.

I won’t ever buy them again! I even opened up a new package and they were already dried out :(.

I used to LOVE these. They have been changed completely for the worse. They are so bad I actually thought I had been sent imposter wipes, but when I got on the Target website, I saw so many other people have had the same issues with the “improved” wipes.

To begin with, it amazes me they continue to sell these as “unscented” when they smell like the lemon hand wipes you get in barbeque restaurants. They are also smaller. Oh, and they make your face burn.

Now I don’t buy them anymore and opt for the large bottle of just the liquid and make my own wipes. I buy the intrinsics silken wipes and soak them. I can make SO many wipes this way. Also these wipes have practically doubled in price since Nov 2021, so yea.

I have been using Olay cleansing cloths for years, but since the store seems to be out of them most of the time, I thought I would try something different. I chose these because of the previous reviews and the brand name.

Burts Bees speaks high quality and these cloths are no exception. They are soft and thick. The cloths are a nice size and are adequately moist from the first one to the last. I love the light fragrance.

They are packaged in a nice size that slips easily into my over night bag when I travel. The little door closes tightly to prevent them from drying out once the package is open. They clean my face well and don’t leave an after film.

I will continue to use these and NOT go back to my former Olay cleansing cloth.

I have super sensitive skin. After trying dozens of products over the years, I finally settled on a less-is-more approach to makeup removal and skin care. This is the only skin product I’ve found that is natural, easy, removes makeup, doesn’t irritate, and keeps my skin clear.

Bonus points for the fact that they smell good and travel well. I’ve been using them for several years and can’t imagine switching to anything else.

I’m often so tired at night that I don’t want to go through the process of tying my hair back, cleansing, then the messy business of rinsing many times in the sink and getting water everywhere. I know–pathetic.

But other than instant convenience, these wipes (once used) are also good for wiping dust off of things. They are generous in size, so to make them last, I tear them in two and use half a sheet at a time.

Bought these for my teenage son to use. They did help but other products work better. He used them mostly to wipe his face after practice from sweating, and again in the mornings after his shower. The smell is not great but anything with tea tree oil is going to smell kinda bad.

I will buy again, just so he has something convenient to carry with him for practice, but will have to combine with extra products.

These are wipes, I’ll give them that. But the smell!!!! The smell is absolutely awful. I went from the Body Shop’s tea tree wipes to these because they were the only option. Even my son’s won’t use these and they would the others.

If you absolutely have to have a wipe, I can’t tell you if these work well because the smell is so bad we don’t use them.

I love this wipe. It gets so much makeup off in one go that i use this daily. The smell is good and it leaves your skin quite clean. Tea tree oil is good for pimples as well. Good to get dirt and oil off your skin.

The little packaging contains a lot of wipes. I got the set with the retinol and collagen wipes and they are all very awesome! Often it doesn’t leave any makeup behind as far as i can see. Excellent product that i need to restock on.

I was wondering how these would be; and they are really great! They feel so natural. do not sting. and my face feels soft and very smooth after using. They removed all my makeup and very convenient to use at night or when you run out of time.

I love the natural smell and I will repurchase as after trying so many different kinds, these are my favourite!.

Very impressed how these sheets totally remove makeup. Has a refreshing light scent and did not cause skin irritation.

I love using make up wipes because It makes life just so much easier. Especially those times when you’d literally rather die than wash your face but you know if you sleep with your make up on you’d be sad.

It typically takes 1 and a half to get the job done. And y’all already know the drill, save the half used one for tomorrow and put it back in the bag with the rest lol. I love the smell and freshness of the grapefruit, plus the packaging is pink so it’s cute.

I do have really sensitive eyes so sometimes the the product on the wipes can be too much and deep into my eyes and they’ll burn a little but I rinse off my face with cool water afterwords and that usually does the trick.
