20 Best Oils For Bath Bombs (2022 Updated)

At the Jo Malone counter at my local Nordstrom, the clerk mixed up a little cocktail of this product with the body cream and used it as a hand cream on me, so I could get a rich moisturizing effect with the lovely fragrance.

It smelled fantastic! Since I tend not to impulse buy, I went home and spent the entire day sniffing my hands. The fragrance lingered through several hand-washings and was even faintly discernible the next morning.

Naturally I came back and bought this product and the body cream the next day! However, I’m quite disappointed in it at home. By itself, the bath oil adds a nice texture but almost no fragrance to my bath, and mixed with the body cream, the scent doesn’t linger.

I’m getting about 2 hours before it fades, and this is attested to by the rest of my family. Too costly for too little payoff. Also, I wish these bottles had flip caps, or pump tops. It’s a real mess to open this and pour out the desired amount, because there is always a bit of dribble down the outside of the bottle.

I adore – and own – Jo Malone’s red roses cologne and lotion so I purchased this without hesitation. Bad move. I appreciate that too much intensity could be cloying but this hasn’t enough – the aroma is very diluted and though not incongruent with the other red roses products it is not the same, either.

It makes the bath water cloudy with something like a scrim on top which is not particularly attractive. Moreover this is not inexpensive and it comes in the cheapest possible plastic bottle with plastic cap.

The branded gift box is more luxe than the bottle. Really? I almost sent it to someone as a gift and it would have been very embarrassing. I’m going to ask to return it. I’m disappointed in you, Jo.

I have been using this for a long time, after my husband treated me to the large glass bottle with stopper. It has just run out and bathtimes are not the same without it! The scent envelopes the room as you run the water and is left lingering on the skin gently fragrancing it.

I am a large fan of this scent and also layer it with the cologne(also a gift) and the body crème. Light florals are my favourite and seem to suit my skin extremely well. beautiful notes to this and I purchased the mini one for myself, perfect as a travel size! Would be a good idea to offer refilling a glass bottle as a form of recycling for customers to bring their bottles into store and refill with the same oil, at a charge.

Could be tried with the mini size and large size?.

I ordered this around a month ago as, like the rest of the population right now, I’ve been struggling to fall asleep. I love the idea of aromatherapy products but have always just viewed them as something that smell nice as opposed to something which could actually help calm you down, reenergise you, or in the case of this product, help you fall asleep.

However, my sleep had got bad enough that I figured it would be worth a try – especially after reading all the reviews on here. When I first opened the bottle and gave this a sniff, I was so disappointed.

It’s quite a musky smell which I wasn’t expecting. However, I figured it’ll be worth at least trying it out after splashing out on the bottle. I emptied one capful into a hot bath, the smell which enveloped the bathroom was a lot smoother and less musky than the full concentrated product which I had previously smelled.

Within 20 minutes of my soak my eyelids felt heavy and I ended up having a full interrupted 9 hours of sleep that night. I would, however, say that I did not have the same affects after using it the recommended way in the shower.

As this is an expensive product, I’ll only be during it in the bath where I can reap the full benefits from it (I’m hoping they’ll come out with a deep relax shower oil soon). Whilst this smell isn’t still my favourite, it has grown on me a lot.

If you find yourself in a similar situation – it’s definitely worth sticking with it for at least 1-2 baths before ruling it out. I definitely find this product effective and I’ve now gone on to purchase the entire deep relax range.

(I also noted from some of the previous reviews, that people were saying they didn’t need to moisturise after using this. I personally didn’t find this to be the case for me (I have dry skin), I found I still had to rush to put on moisturiser to stop my skin feeling tight and uncomfortable (I recommend the deep relax body treatment/ or the deep relax body oil if you’re anything like me and like to layer scents).

I bought the minis as a treat rather than choosing one bottle without smelling them. I’m still working my way through them, but after reading the reviews I had been keen to try this one first. I’m always looking for the perfect bath products! Sometimes I use foams and other times oils.

For an oil, this product is great for leaving your skin soft. It feels luxuriously silky whilst you’re in the bath, then very soft once out. It is very fragrant and relaxing when you are in the bath, and also you can smell it lingering from your skin once you are out (this is an important test for me, and one that many oils fall short of).

It does also leave me feeling relaxed and primed for sleep. So why the 4 stars? The smell! This product is almost perfect, but I really don’t like the smell. As other have said, it’s a little musky and very strong.

I guess the strength is why it lingers so well, but it’s really not my favourite scent. One review said if you persist it gets better, but I just don’t think it’s for me. I prefer the light relax and morning revive, you just need to add a little more oil.

If you are looking to try the product, I’d recommend gifting the minis to yourself or putting on a wish list, great way to work out what’s best for you, and packaged beautifully.

This scent is great when you’re either feeling full of Hay fever or a cold/flu/sinus issues. It’s also cooling in summer to use before bed. But in winter just seems to invigorate the senses. It’s perfect all year round.

And a must have for me. The aromatherapy associates bath and shower oils are the utter best…! The quality of their essential oils is so good. They have the purest scent. No artificial sweetness or weird notes.

Just a hit of relaxing and restful scents. My preference to use these is before a shower. But I also like to use before bed too. Just massage thoroughly into the skin.

If you love the spa, you will LOVE Jo Malone bath oils. I have a few on hand to choose from; depending on the day I’ve had it might be roses (calming) or lime basil (calming but also refreshing). A few drops go a long way, this product will last.

It leaves skin soft and smooth, moisturized – not slick or greasy by any means. And the heavenly fragrance lingers, a perfect foundation for applying body cream or serum, etc. after the bath. The packaging is beautiful – no pumps or mess.

I just REALLY WISH Jo Malone kept more variety in stock – bring back Grapefruit, make Blackberry and Bay and also Orange Bitters, please.

I bought this product as a treat for myself as had received a Jo Malone fragrance for a birthday present and had been so impressed. This bath oil though expensive will last a long time as you don’t need to use much in the bath.

I have sensitive skin and this oil did not create any issues, but rather that my skin was softer afterwards. The fragrance is divine. A lovely indulgent treat.

If you like Peony Blush edt then you should try this bath oil. It smells exactly like the fragrance but somehow rounder, less harsh. I put a little dose of the oil in the bath water and the water becomes slightly milky and soft, very few bubbles.

The whole bath fills in with the beautiful perfume. My skin smells like that for at least 1 hour and my skin is soft and hydrated.

Oh my goodness!! I’m so in love with this product. I just recently started researching and using essential oils. I started with the peppermint, eucalyptus, and peace from another company and lavender was next on my list.

Well this past Saturday I was in Disney Springs and was experiencing a stressful afternoon after my 3 year old and 8 month old had temper tantrums due to no nap, busy day, etc. Well I found a quiet spot to calm the kids down which just so happened to land me next to the kiosk that sells these products and grabbed the lavender roll on essential oil to see if it would help.

Anyways, used it on myself and both of my kids and miracles happened! They both finally fell asleep for a nap and I was able to relax too. I can’t wait to finish building my essential oil collection and super excited to purchase more from Rinse!.

The Lavender Roll-On is an integral part of our nighttime routine. My kids and I use it anytime we are having trouble settling in for a good night’s sleep. They are convinced it has magical properties! We combine it with orange to “fight away the nightmares” (and ease anxiety).

I wasn’t always a Lavender fan until I found Rinse at Disney California Adventure, of all places. The natural scent is absolutely soothing to me, and I’m rarely without one within a 5-ft reach. The spray was my next must-have, and keep that handy in a few rooms of my home at all times.

My wife has tried various essential oils with various degrees of success, to be frank the more you spend the more pure the oil is, generally the better the product is. After purchasing my wife a Liberty Advent calendar, one of the draws contained small Bottle of Olverum bath oil.

I must admit I was a little disappointed at first and said that it contained enough for 3 baths. A few evenings later she decided to have a bath and try the oil. A little later she came back downstairs, she just said that oil is unbelievable, totally relaxed she persuaded me to go upstairs and take in the wonder atmosphere.

The essential oils had travelled into every room leaving the place like it had never been before, this is a different league than anything else before. Of course it didn’t take a lot persuade me to have a bath.

As I have aged my skin has continued to dry out, yes I know that there are products to solve my problems but I’m not that sort of person, but a bath which was so relaxing , with some soft music. That is the way forwards for me, the oils made my skin feel softer than it has for years.

This sample bath oil came with a recent online purchase. I don’t usually buy this sort of product for myself preferring make up purchases but I have to admit it was surprisingly good. A beautiful and soothing fragrance that is not overpowering.

The oil texture is light and silky. I have normal skin and don’t need to moisturise daily except in winter. My skin felt very well nourished and softened afterwards, the oil was easily absorbed and did nt sit on skin surface in a greasy layer like some oil based bath products seem to.

It’s not cheap but as it felt overall like I d spent time in a good luxury spa it is well worth the outlay. Very relaxing and soothing. Would definitely buy the full sized product either as a special present for a friend or as a luxury treat for myself.

I tried a sample of this oil, received together with an online order, and really enjoyed the gentle, herby/ pine-y smell. Can’t say what it did for my skin but the smell was very nice. Giving it a lower rating because, when you look at the ingredients list on EWG Skin Deep Build Your Own Report, it contains a few potentially problematic ingredients – Fragrance (though this is tbf said to be from essential oils), CHLOROPHYLLIN-COPPER COMPLEX, CITRONELLOL, COUMARIN, BENZYL ALCOHOL.

You may therefore want to look into those and make a decision as to whether you are comfortable with those being in a product that you use as a bath oil. It’s a personal decision! But otherwise, nice product with delicious smell.

Very relaxing.

This set of shower steamers comes in a beautiful package – all ready for gift giving. Although the presentation is beautiful, the packaging is not that easy to use for storage as it is difficult to slide the sleeve of steamers in and out of the package.

The scents are pleasing and are not too overpowering when used. In fact, the scent almost seems stronger when taking it out of the package than when it is used in the shower as a steamer. When left out on the bathroom counter, the smell definitely freshened the whole bathroom as well.

The scents are nice; however, if the set has multiple scents it is difficult to tell the difference between them since they are the same color. When used, one shower steamer lasted for two showers and had a nice, relaxing scent while showering.

It did not stain the floor and rinsed away without any residue and did not make the floor slippery. Overall, this is a nice alternative to bath bombs if you prefer showers or do not have a bath tub. It is a nice way to create a more relaxing shower experience.

I love the Shower Steamers from Lovery. I prefer showers to baths but I always miss bath bombs so these shower steamers feel like they were made for me. This set comes in the most gorgeous gold packaging that makes it look and feel luxurious.

It includes four different scents (two steamers in each scent) White Orchid, White Rose, Jasmine and Vanilla Coconut. I love all of the scents but the Vanilla Coconut is definitely my favorite. All you have to do is place one of these in the corner of your shower (not submerged in water) and let the steam do the rest.

Every time I use one of these it is such a relaxing experience. It really helps me unwind from the day. Your whole shower is filled with the scent from the aromatherapy essential oils and it is such an enjoyable, calming, and stress relieving experience.

These smell amazing. It uses pure essential oils and nature identical fragrance so you get the true benefits of aroma therapy. It comes with 8 melts, 2 are Lemon grass, 2 are lemon grapefruit, 2 lemon and 2 lemon mint.

For best fragrance don’t submerge theses in watertight but let then get hit with droplets so put it towards the back area where it won’t get stepped on or saturated.

I was so excited to try the steamer tablets and the bath bombs that came in the Lovery Essential Oil Shower Steamer Bath Bomb set but now that I have, I am a little disappointed. Although the presentation was lovely, the steamer tablets did not have much fragrance.

I tried the lavender scented one first and when I took a closer look at the ingredients, I noticed there was no actual lavender essential oil listed. The bath bombs also contained very little fragrance and did not produce very much fizz.

I would recommend Lovery Steamer Tablet and Bath Bomb Set because it looks so nice but the products’ scents could use some improvement.

This is amazing essential oil set, I love how wonderful the bath bombs smell there not to strong at all and just the right amount of scent and they smell so so good. I love how soft it makes my skin feel after putting one in my bathtub.

I love how this comes with a nice organizer that you can put in your shower also to hold all of the products and then after you can use it for a long term use in your house. This is a great gift for anyone in the family.

Recently I had the opportunity to try the Lovery ~ Essential Oil Steamer and Bath Bomb set. This set came with the shower caddy and 11 bath pieces. I thought this was a beautiful set and a lovely accent for your bath.

The bath bombshell were all made with very nice ingredients leaving my skin soft and silky and feeling rejuvenated and leaving whole bathroom with a beautiful scent. This was also my first time using a shower steamer.

I was very surprised how well it worked and how beautiful the scents were.

the fragrance is AMAZING, I shower before bed several nights a week because I get up very early for work. This is very relaxing and helps me drift right off, even on nights when the sun is still up when i go to bed! I docked one star because I wish it would absorb a little better.

It didn’t leave any residue or staining on my clothes or sheets, but you can for sure still see oil on the surface of your skin. Not enough to keep me from using it, though!.

I love the way it moisturizes without feeling greasy. A drop goes a long way. The scent is soft and gentle , but dissipates quickly so it won’t compete with other fragrances you might wish to wear. I’ve been using this product for years.

I have anxiety and I scratch my legs as a result. My very pale sensitive sling gets red dots as a reaction to this. My skin gets dry and it is just an itchy dry cycle. This revitalizes my skin and stops the dryness and stops the itching.

With time the red bumps fade.

WHAT THE HECK. When they say “Revive” they really mean it. This stuff is STRONGLY scented. I put a little on in the shower and almost died from what seemed like a perfume cloud that immediately surrounded me.

Even after I rinsed off and got out of the shower, the whole bathroom smelled like I just threw a bucket full of perfume into a hot steamy shower. Intense is an understatement. I threw the rest away.

After I opened the bathroom door for a few minutes, my husband from a floor away asked me what that smell was!.

I love these oils, I’ve used a few and the de-stress is my favourite! These are such luxurious oils, just a few drops and they smell amazing. I suffer dry skin but find these really help hydrate and make my skin feel more moisturised.

As only a few drops are needed, this bottle will definitely last a long time. I love the glass bottle it comes in, looks so beautiful in my bathroom. Would definitely buy this scent again, the rosemary really shines through.

I received this as a sample of 3ml. A little goes a long way, as the smell was very powerful from such a tiny amount and the effect on my skin was great- very soft. A full size bottle would be very good value as you only need a small amount to get a great result in terms of softened skin and that amazing smell.

I put mine in the bath so cannot comment on how this works as a shower gel. As to the destressing of my mind, I did feel pretty chilled afterwards, but that may be due to the G&T I enjoyed while in the bath!!.

I bought this bath and shower oil a few weeks ago and am very happy that I did. Yes, it is expensive and it is a small bottle. however, the bottle will last a while as you only need one small capful.

The smell is fantastic – even my 17 year old son commented on how nice it was plus it lingers in the bathroom and around the house. I felt totally chilled and relaxed after using it and will definitely re-purchase.

I have been delighted with all Aromatherapy Associates products and this is no exception!.

This frankincense oil is 20-50 times cheaper than a top brand like neal’s yard or doTerra. so, is it worth it? on first sniff it smells ok-ish. compared to a ‘real’ frankincense oil, this one has a much more chemical scent, like petroleum.

when I use this oil in the sauna (a few drops shaken with water, poured onto the hot rocks) the smell that comes off is much less pleasant, and less long lasting, than using a real essential oil. the price is good, but if it was for personal use I would buy a high quality frankincense oil.

the only reason I would use this is if I needed a lot, like for a theatre performance, or a big religious ceremony, or something where I needed a lot of frankincense scent and the quality was not important.

Do not use this product in any diffusers etc. It has glued shut two of my devices and they are now useless, very sticky and clings to plastic surfaces, which it is irremovable from. Nice smell before that happened.

This is probably the best mango fragrance I have ever smelled. It’s just like the real thing without any weird chemical additives that linger. Wonderful for candles!
