20 Best Oils For Gua Sha (2022 Updated)

I never felt the need to leave a review on something I bought, though I buy a ton of skincare stuff, (until now) I have mixed skin, oily but also dry around my nose, forehead. It was a nightmare to find something that suits it.

Till I found this oil. It’s a miracle for my skin, I have had it for a couple of weeks now, it changed the appearance and texture of my skin completely. I m not gonna use anything else again. Definitely gonna buy it again.

I love the way my skin looks and feels. I purchased the “Signature Skin Care Collection” and I am extremely pleased with the results. The cleanser is unique and leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean, but never dry.

I follow that with the invigorating botanical mist and serum to make my face feel renewed. Next comes the “Face Glow” oil, which makes my skin look younger and more radiant. Finally for the moisturizer; now I admit this took some adjustment.

Let me start by saying it works wonderfully. The adjustment for me was due to the unique fragrance; it has a slight fermented smell. When I contacted Ogee, they explained that it was indeed due to a unique fermentation process used in making the moisturizer.

They were very gracious and offered to help me if I wasn’t happy with my purchase and also suggested ways in which to apply the product to minimize the fragrance. I decided to stick with it and I am very pleased with the result.

I have actually had people complement my radiant glow and say I look younger. I love the results and finally feel great about my skin. It feels refreshed and moisturized all day long; no more feeling like my skin is too tight or dry and papery half way through the day! I love my skin again!.

This oil feels like heaven when you put it on! I’ve loved it ever since the first application. It’s a wonderful moisturizer. It’s my go-to and besides feeling and looking great, it simply makes me happy to put it on each day.

One bottle lasts me about 3-4 months and I apply anywhere between 3-5 drops each morning and night. Also, I used to struggle with hormonal acne before I got this oil. Although I believe the disappearance of said acne was mostly related to my hormones chilling out, I don’t think it hurt to transition to using fewer and better quality products like this.

No matter what your skin is struggling with, I think it’s worth a try!.

This has been my go-to for three years. I have lived in the high desert at 7000 feet altitude for 12 years now, where it is extra dry year-round in spite of having all 4 seasons! My skin and face in particular tends to be sensitive and dry.

When I first tried Ogee’s Jojoba Glow Face Oil, instantly I felt a difference. The ingredients feel like quality: a smooth application on a freshly-cleansed face of about 4-5 drops, my skin drinks it up in minutes with nothing left behind but smooth, happier skin.

I can apply sunscreen and makeup over this afterwards if desired. Miracle product! Please don’t change a thing!.

This is my 4th bottle and I’m obsessed. I have the most sensitive and reactive skin. Everything makes it red and it’s very dry. This oil not only smells incredible, but it’s so gentle and makes me look like a glowing goddess! I get so many compliments on how amazing my skin looks and I only have this and the Aesop serum on.

It does wonders and I like it better now over using lotions! Highly recommend!.

Fabulous indeed! I was recommended this oil for my congested skin, which made no sense to me at the time- I was very reluctant to use an oil on my combination, acne prone skin but wow this is a game changer! It literally works over night to help relieve any congestion.

I love how versatile this oil is- you can use it by itself or blend it with a serum or moisturiser, and it even works wonderfully as a primer for makeup. Highly recommend!.

I have consistently had a bottle of this in my cosmetics bag ever since I discovered it, about 18months ago! And I am here to buy one more so thought I should write a review. At first, I was hesitant to get it since I have combination to oily skin and thought an oil would probably not work for me.

I was wrong. It is very light and absorbs quickly. It also takes time (like a week maybe) to get used to, the smell is noticeable but not overpowering (citrusy scent btw, which is great by me but I know some ppl prefer floral scents and all).

Also at first I felt my face was too shiny since I don’t wear makeup but after a while, I don’t even notice it anymore (I figured the right amount of drops to apply). I now carry it as a staple in my skincare routine as it’s very versatile.

I can use it in the morning or evening routine, I can use it alone, I can apply it in the middle of the day while traveling to look refreshed, pretty much other than sunscreen, this is the one bottle I must have in my skincare kit at all time.

Whenever I try something new and it messes up my face and I need it to rest, I use this oil in the meantime. It is guaranteed to hydrate, brighten and refresh. Before this, I used to have a bottle of Vaseline as my backup when everything fails, but I would use it sparingly bcoz Vaseline is sticky and all.

This oil is light and it serves the same purpose and more. Simple, reliable, gets the job done all the time. This is my face version of Osea body oil -another skincare staple I can’t get enough of.

I’ve always heard good things about Sunday Riley, so was excited to try this. The packaging was very luxe feeling, and I love the size of the dropper and how much control you have over how much comes out (very little comes out per squeeze).

The scent, as others have mentioned, is a bit spa-like, and I found it to be a strong herbal smell that I didn’t particularly like. It was a bit intense to have on my face, especially at night when I am more sensitive to scents while trying to sleep.

This certainly improved radiance and brightness in my skin, but almost too much. I have oily to combination skin that has been drier due to the winter weather, but this was too oily for my liking. I was only able to stand using it a few times before giving up.

It’s just too strongly scented, and I believe it made me break out. If I use just a tiny amount it is more bearable, but that doesn’t really give me the glowing effects I wanted from this. I think it would work out better for drier skin types that are not acne prone whatsoever.

I use it twice a week, every one to two days. I always notice the difference the morning after. Having a reaction to this type of skin product seems to be common. I think the key is to figure out how much your skin can tolerate.

First off, face oil is really not my thing. I used to love the Guerlain oil but after using the 2nd bottle it burnt my face. I stopped using any face oil since then. Until I got sample of the La Mer renew oil, my life has changed.

I use this oil before the La Mer moisturizer and it makes my skin smooth, even tone and reduce blemishes. That’s why I decided to buy a full size though it is very pricey, but It’s worth every penny.

You only need to use 3 drops each time, so 0. 5z will last use at least 6 month if you use it 2 times per day. I only use it at night cause I have combination skin so I don’t want to apply oil before makeup.

I would recommend this product for everyone.

I know it’s way too expensive but this is an amazing face oil! I’ve very sensitive skin and this oil never irritates my acne prone face! I’ve noticed a significant difference in overall appearance. My skin tone is looks more even and it gives a very healthy glow! I’ve tried many oils which are little cheaper in price but either ended up breaking out or never saw any difference.

But this oil is a magic. Use 3 drops in the morning and 3 drops in the evening with moisturizer and skin feels great! I’ll continue purchasing as long as I can afford it. Best oil in the market. Thank you LA MER.

✨ To all of my fellow oily skin friends… Have you tried Herbivore’s Lapis Oil? If not, you really need to! 🔹 I have struggled with my skin. Even though it’s quite oily, I would often get dry patches.

It looked and felt terrible. I finally figured out, that my skin was very dehydrated. Heavy moisturizers and especially oils scared me because my skin is so oily. Don’t let this happen to you! Even though my skin is oily, it still needs to be thoroughly moisturized.

I started using Lapis Oil a couple of months ago. I have noticed a tremendous change in my skin. The dry patches are gone, and the excess oil is also! The redness in my skin is also starting to fade.

Love this! Bought it on a whim after eyeing it for a while. I actually have dry skin, especially in the winter, but suffer with milia and dark spots that made me interested in this oil. The first thing I noticed was the smell – the only way I can describe it is that it smells rich.

It smells like luxury. Like, “Oh, she’s got MONEY money,” rich. Putting this oil on, I felt like I was a millionaire influencer doing my nighttime skincare routine for Harper’s Bazaar. It’s faaaancy, y’all.

I love the feel and finish of this oil, too. It’s less thick/viscous than I expected it to be, but it doesn’t skimp on hydration, so you feel deeply moisturized and plump upon applying it. It sinks into the skin quickly, but does leave that faint layer of surface moisture, so it’s probably best for a pre-bed routine rather than before makeup.

That’s my preference, so it’s perfect for me, but YMMV! I noticed an almost immediate reduction in the look of my pores and my surface redness. This feels like a true self care moment in the sense that it is luxurious and feels a little indulgent, but it also does what it promises.

Can’t wait to upgrade to the bigger size!.

I wanted to love this so much. I started using it in beginning of April and was suffering from mild hormonal acne. I have drier sensitive combination skin, but lately I’ve noticed it was getting oiler.

My acne ended up getting much worse (I was getting blackheads and cystic acne on my forehead which I hadn’t previously) which I was attributing to my skin getting used to the new products since I started a whole new skin routine (all herbivore products).

Eventually my skin got so bad after a month and a half I decided to stop one product at a time to see if it improved. I started with this one and almost immediately it got better. Thinking maybe it was a fluke once my skin cleared I gave it another shot and immediately the next day blackheads popped up in multiple places again.

Sadly, this is the second oil I’ve tried from herbivore (tried Phoenix previously with the same issue) and I think oils just don’t work with me. I do love all the other products I’ve used from herbivore.

Side note I do use a mini fridge for all my skincare items so I did not notice the mold forming during the two months I had this.

NYC winters are brutal and I often need a serum or oil to keep my face well hydrated. This Antioxidant + Facial Oil is potently hydrating. The con is the facial oil caused pimples to pop up on my face.

As someone with sensitive skin and a simple skincare routine, I notice when a new product is the culprit of a mild break out. I layered the oil under my usual PAI Jojoba Facial Cream with no additional products, and also tried it alone without the cream.

After a few weeks of trials I confirmed the pimples were due to the oil. Overall, this product may be best for those seeking glow and hydration, but would not recommend it for those with sensitive skin/who break out easily.

I love the Rosehip oil , it doesn’t have a strong smell on my face. This product makes my skin feeling youthful , gives me lift and reduces my fine lines. I even use this product under my foundation and it blends very well.

I’ve tried a few serums and oils but never really found any that seemed to a) make a difference or b) fit in with my other skin products. I love this one, though. When you open the bottle, the scent of some of the botanicals inside quickly fills your nose.

The oil is rich but absorbs super quickly. I use it beneath a moisturizer in the morning and evening and I feel like I’ve seen results after about a month of use. The price point isn’t bad compared to some other serums and oils on the market.

This cleansing cream contains great ingredients as avena sativa (oat) kernel flour which hydrates, calms and eliminates itchiness and irritation. Avena sativa is rich with Beta-glucan which acts as moisturizing, protecting skin barrier ingredient.

Sodium PCA is a great humectant, works as a hydrating agent. Gluconolactone belongs to PHA acid group. It is gentle and friendly to the skin. It acts as a chemical exfoliating agent which help eliminate dead cells and dirt on top of your skin.

It also helps improve skin tone and texture of skin, and strengthen and protect skin barrier. It is also very good for eliminating fine lines and wrinkles. As it is gentle in comparison with other acids Gluconolactone can be used for those who have sensitive skin.

Aloe barbadensis leaf juice has soothing, protecting effect to the skin. It also help production of collagen in fibloblast. This cleansing cream does not have rich foam but cleanses oil and dirt very well.

After washing it off the skin feels soft and hydrating. It has specific herbal scent. I enjoy using it very much.

This is an absolute perfect dupe for the #DrunkElephant Virgin Marula Oil. The one and ONLY difference that I notice between the two is the amount of money I have left in the bank to spend on more skincare products 😊.

This luxuriously feeling scent-free, clear, minimally viscous facial oil is housed in a white, opaque, glass bottle with a locking pump – all of which helps to keep it’s antioxidant and healing properties stable for a really long time.

I’ve had my current bottle for about 13 months and I probably won’t have to replace it for another month or so. I think I paid $10 or $12 for 1 fluid ounce. When I apply it, I generally only need one pump.

This gives me more than enough to cover my face, neck and the upper portion of my decolletage. The one, most important thing that I would want you to know about this facial oil – about ALL facial oils, actually – is that this type of product is meant to be patted onto the skin, not rubbed in.

The consistency makes this work best by rubbing the oil between your fingers, or your palms, whichever works best for you; then gently push the oil into your skin, allowing it to settle in for a moment before removing your hands.

I apply this to my eyes as well. I just close my eyes before smooshing my hands into my face. I don’t recommend using this in the morning unless you have extremely dry skin. It leaves the skin very shiny, so unless you like that sorta look, I suggest using it during your nighttime routine.

The one and only drawback that I can think of, is the bottle is on the heavy side. Other than that, I reccomend this product as part of a well thought out skincare routine.

My skin soaks this right up! I use it at night before bed and love how soft my skin feels in the morning. So many good ingredients! I’m not fond of the packaging because sometimes it’s hard to get the protective wrap off, but I’d much rather have excellent ingredients that I can afford rather than the added cost of fancy packaging!.

This is the best facial oil I have tried for a couple reasons. First, it combines numerous oils to create a rich oil that hydrates and nourishes the skin without causing outbreaks. Second, it is a spray, which makes it easy to apply — no dropper or shaking needed.

I cannot rave enough about this facial oil. The scent is amazing and I woke up with noticeably brighter and hydrated skin after putting on before bed. This is a genius concoction. Stop investing in oils/skincare with all sorts of chemicals and ingredients you can’t pronounce.

I love this product for several reasons, it’s apart of my morning skin care routine and I look forward to it everyday. The smell is so amazing and it makes my skin feel so soft. I’m so so happy.

I truly love it! It’s just right. Not too oily, not too slippy. right amount of oil, right amount of slip, without being too oily. A little goes a long way, you only need a drop or two per area, so I love that this bottle comes with a dropper.

Although, to be completely honest, its not the best dropper. I’ve had a bit of difficulty with it at times, especially when your product is getting low in the bottle. To be honest, they could do a slight improvement on the dropper design, but I’m still glad it comes with one.

I find the product has an added bonus for me, as I find it keeps my face hydrated throughout the day, and does not leave an oily feel, and it helps with applying my makeup, as my makeup goes on smoother and more evenly,I just love that added bonus!.

The Empress Oil is lovely! The texture is very nice, not too greasy and goes into the skin very well leaving a dewy and silky residue, which is important for us older gals. The stone glides very easily with this oil allowing me to gua sha my face and neck every night.

I look forward to this ritual where I spray the tonic on first and then lightly spread and pat the empress oil on and it’s really a delightful event! The scent of the oil is unlike anything I have ever smelled with hints of richness and health as I smooth it on my face and neck.

I would recommend this to any older women who are looking to revitalize their skin, move their lymph, and feel very pampered. I am completely sold on Wilding’s products.

The Empress Oil has helped transform my face’s skin so it’s smoother, brighter, and more toned. The oil itself is soothing, moisturizing, and most importantly, doesn’t irritate my breakout-prone and sensitive skin.

But I also love that it’s made with clean ingredients with a focus on holistic health and skincare (which is still relatively hard to find). I use it every day for my gua sha ritual and truly can’t live without it.

The aura oil after the elixar gives slip without greasiness and smells good. The pump is a little hard to compress and it you are planning to do a full body gua sha, your hand gets tired. The other biggest issue is the size of the bottles for both activator and oil for a body.

The sweeper is a good brush but you will flay yourself if you dont use a light touch. Good approach, good products and I love having the tools and control for home use to improve my body and my face.

This is absolutely delicious!!! It smells incredibly potent & fragrant of all natural organic plant matter. It also is seed oil free, which is so hard to find in the self care market. I’m totally in love with this rich, fast acting oil.

This oil makes my skin so soft. I apply right out the shower when I am still damp and massage all over my body. A little goes a long way. After pregnancy I have been tight in my thighs and lower back.

I seldom write reviews for anything ever. but this product definitely deserves one. I have always dealt with breakouts and redness problems. I got this product for Christmas and have been using it consistently; three drops in the morning and messaging it into my skin.

I have noticed that my skin looks very smooth, and even-toned throughout the past few weeks. My acne is also slowly diminishing! I love the smell contrary to some reviews. It’s a very natural scent that doesn’t stay all day long which is nice.

I used the True Dew product for combination/oily skin and really liked it so was looking forward to trying the dry skin formula as the weather gets cooler & dryer. I’m really liking this one too. I just use at night over my moisturizer and my skin is so soft and moisturized.

I wasn’t sure if I’d like this scent because I really like the other one with raspberries but it’s a warmer scent of roses but not too strong. Another great Saje product!.

I’m a big fan of face oils and plant-based carrier oils in general because my skin is so dry and under-nourished, but I’ve never tried an oil that’s as rich and luxurious as this one. Not only is it super nurturing and helps to lock in moisture when I use it in the evenings, but it also helps to really brighten and bring my skin to life first thing in the morning.

Ever since I first heard about this new product, I’ve been excited to know that it will include helichrysum, a super premium oil that’s known for it’s ability to help with vitality and signs associated with more dry, mature skin types.

Along with rosehip oil (my favourite plant-based carrier oil for skincare), rose otto, frankincense, and geranium, this oil is beautiful to look at with its golden color and to enhance my skincare routine with it’s super inclusive aroma.

I would love to see this aroma translated into other products because it’s super relaxing, soothing, and comforting – would be a wonderful roll-on for our collection!.
