20 Best Oils For Hydrating Hair (2022 Updated)

I have curly naturally dryer hair and I blow dry my hair with a round brush every time I wash, so I tried to is very moisturizing shampoos and treatments. I bought this in the hopes that it would bring back some of that moisture after I blow dried it, and give me some added shine.

Unfortunately, I don’t feel like it does too much of either, but since I have it I will keep using it until it’s gone, but I will not be re-purchasing.

I like the price for sure of this one. I thought it was good not amazing but I have really dry frizzy curly hair. I do keep gravitating towards it because it doesn’t weight my hair down it isn’t greasy or heavy.

I like it but I don’t love it. Is it better than most? Yes. I’ll keep using it because so far it’s one of the best there is.

This stuff is freakin amazing. I have thick, course hair that has some damage from color treatment & while I use heavier oils & masks to treat it, this is my go-to day oil that I use as a finishing spray before going out.

Not only does it soften the hair, it gets rid of any fly aways or fuzzies going on on the surface of the hair. Once you spray this & run a brush through, your hair will be soft, more defined and did I mention the shine? I have NEVER seen even a shine spray give the shine this ghost oil does.

I love this stuff & I hope they never stop making it. Do be aware, though, that this product has demethicone in it. This is not a bad ingredient, per say, but it won’t be removed with regular shampoos.

But there are now plenty of gentle sulfate free shampoos on the market. You don’t need harsh sulfate shampoos to clarify your hair! This is really a holy grail product, if buy it with the knowledge of how to care for your hair when you use it.

I received Verb Ghost Dry Oil free from PinchMe in exchange for my thoughts, well I thought I would hop on here and let you all know how great this product is. First off they sent me a large 5. 5 oz bottle of this dry oil, it comes in a quite tall flat white cylinder.

This bottle is well built as you can tell when you hold it. The spray you get out of the bottle is nice and even and never gave me any hiccups. I swear when I spray the oil it has a hint of coconut, I wish I could smell more of that, as it leans more towards the smell of hairspray.

However, me thinking it’s an oil that it would make my hair look oily and greasy, right? No!! Exactly the opposite, my hair was smooth and silky and literally felt so soft after I brushed my hair out.

I have middle of my back, long thick hair. I absolutely loved this product by Verb and will buy again.

I like this. At first I was a bit unsure of exactly where it fit in my routine (which is actually mostly Verb products,they just work well with my hair). But on my long,balayaged,very dark,thick, and wavy hair, I’ve found it works best either right after dry shampoo or to combat frizz or dry ends.

I like that the mist is so fine and that my hair feels refreshed after using. It’s admittedly not my favorite product from Verb,but I’m glad to have it in my hair care arsenal. I need all the help I can get with my hair,as it can get poufy and my ends can get dry,and these spots are where Ghost Dry Conditioner Oil really helps.

As always with Verb,the formula is clean and full of good-for-your-hair stuff. Not a must-have,but certainly a glad-to-have. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for frizz control, help with your dry ends,or a hair freshener.

I bought this a week ago and it is amazing. I have very fine hair that gets oily easily and dry ends. It’s always a struggle to find a product the moisturises ends but doesn’t weigh down hair or make it greasy.

This hair oil absorbs into hair and doesn’t sit on top like other oils. It makes hair shiny and more manageable. My comb goes straight through and can run my fingers through ends without getting tangled.

I use it on wet hair and then a small amount on dry hair. I have used more than the specified amount and even then my hair doesn’t get greasy. So glad I found this hair oil.

One of my favourite hair products, and I’ve been using for years! One bottle lasts me a long time. I’m on my 3rd bottle in 5 years, and it does wonders to keep my hair ends healthy. I have long hair, and I don’t do much to it (especially with covid haha), but when I heat style, my hair can get dry and brittle, which this product helps 1000%.

I love the herbal scent, and it adds great shine. Received many compliments on my hair. I can honestly say that I airdried and used this product for the majority of those compliments.

It would be a huge mistake for Aveda to discontinue this product. I’ve tried other hair oils by the company, and they are inferior to this one. If the product is discontinued, I will have to look elsewhere because I need a hair oil that works well and can be used every day.

I’ve tried and loved so many L’ange products! When my order arrived this afternoon, I opened it right away to fish out the Marula Oil mist. Let me just say I immediately and permanently FELL IN LOVE with this spray!! I was worried an oil spray might be too much for my normal-to-dry hair, but because I also tend to get frizzy and fly-aways, I gave it a shot.

It feels absolutely exquisite on my hair, not heavy, not greasy, but gave me much lacking gloss and smoothness. But honestly, I would use it for the fragrance alone, it is absolutely amazing!! I hate to put any of my other favorites down a notch or two, but I have to say this may be my new #1 favorite L’ange product I’ve used yet!!! I don’t ever want to be without this, and will grab a few more so I can stash one in my purse too, and always have a backup!.

I have used many of the Lange hair products over the last 5 months. I haven’t written one review due to wanting to truly know what proved worthy as a product I would continue to use. And the Marula oil mist is total bliss.

I use hair dryers a lot throughout the week when I style my hair, so I also needed something that could work as a heat protectant, and this product does just that.

I’ve used a few different argan oils for my hair, most common ones being the OGX and Hanz De Fuko Hair Oil. The Forte Series beats them both by a mile! I have fine hair, so those of you who are like me know it’s hard to find a good product that controls frizz while not weighing your hair down too much.

This does just that! It’s not too oily and heavy (much like the OGX ) and does a better job controlling the frizz when compared to HDF Hair Oil. This stuff goes on super easy and evenly and leaves my hair soft all day.

The scent is the same as the molding paste so no need to worry about clashing fragrances. Fine Hair Tip: after washing with shampoo and towel drying, I mix a drop of this in my hand with the Molding Paste as a pre-styler to give my hair so much more volume when blow drying!.

I dislike Pantene products, so I was reluctant to try this at first, but I am so glad I gave it a shot! It has become one of my favorite daily hair oils! Beautiful scent, lightweight if use sparingly, very hydrating, leaves behind a beautiful natural looking shine, I truly believe it has strengthened my hair! Since starting my natural hair journey, I’ve seen major improvements in the health strength of my hair, especially while using this product.

I use only 2 pumps on damp clean hair, it leaves my hair so soft manageable, while smelling delicious. Seen so much less breakage since I started using almost 3 months ago. Highly recommend, especially for dry or textured hair types.

This line is the best I’ve ever used. As long as the formulas stay the same I will always use Pantene Gold series. I have relaxed bra strap length hair and the shampoo, conditioner, leave on detangling milk and hair oil are all I need for soft, flowy, shiny, hair.

I wash my hair once per week and only have to remoisturize once midweek with a small amount of leave on detangling milk and oil. If you’re looking for moisturized hair that is not heavy look no further.

In my opinion, Pantene has been a horrible excuse for an industry-standard brand. Their basic old-school formulas leave film on your hair and simply don’t work. However, the Pantene Gold Series, sulfate free, is quite possibly the best line of products on the market for hydration, shine, and restoration of hair.

The detangling milk is the best anti-frizz detangler shine-inducing product on the market. I am so impressed with Pantene Gold Series that I will clear any store out of the kits and give them as gifts.

I am often met with women and men who have had the same amazing results. Use any one of the Pantene Gold Series Products and in some way, you will have restored your hair.

I apply a generous amount of this oil to my mid lengths and ends (I have dry, long hair) an hour or half an hour before my shower on hair washing days. The ingredients are great. I can’t imagine using it as a styling product as the directions above suggest, as it’s basically 100% oil.

But if you were very restrained and only used a TINY bit, you might be ok.

Like many others, the ends of my hair are prone to dryness and damage. I was stumped on how to restore it as conditioning and occasional hair masks was not enough. Turns out this is just what I needed! Unbelievably effective on what I thought was a lost cause, I’ve started ‘oiling’ the ends of my hair while it’s damp after a wash, and whenever I feel it needs extra hydration.

Over the weeks, shine and health has returned to my ends 😁😁 also my tip is to use the oil before bed and wrap hair in a bun, almost like an overnight treatment. I’d say 2-4 pumps is adequate, depending on length and condition of hair, and whether it is damp or not.

Will definitely be repurchasing this gem!.

The simple blend of these oils are so rich in nourishment I also use this as a carrier oil with my almond oil body moisturizer.

TraduireAfficher dans la langue originaleThe smell is divine, the moisture is intense. This is a heavy oil, it will weigh down your hair. This is the type of oil that you put in your hair at bed time, and leave it overnight, if you are going out you could put a little on the ends of your hair.

I really cannot compliment the scent enough, it is so sweet and slightly citrussy, it isn’t overwhelming. My hair looks and smells great after using this, for those with more fine hair this may be a bit too intensive to use regularly, I wouldn’t suggest more than once a week.

I have mid to long layered, highlighted blonde hair. In the winter especially, I struggle with very dry ends and frizz. My hair maintenance involves trying to heal these ends while dealing with an oily scalp and this is not easy.

Thankfully, I have a lot of hair because it is very fine. This product has strengthened my hair – less breakage in my hair utensils and shower drain. It doesn’t make my scalp oily or my hair oily and it doesn’t weigh my hair down.

I divide my hair up after towel drying, put a small amount on my fingers rub between two hands with a splash of water (hair so dry in spots) and run it through about 3/4 of hair strands (from shaft to ends).

Usually need two small dollops for my hair length (shoulder and bit longer). I can feel my hair smile and it lets me know by styling easier. Now, Kiehls you just have to keep it in stock!.

For some reason, the bottle for this product is made of hard, translucent green plastic. In my experience, this is unlike any other Kiehl’s product — the packaging in everthing else is great (other than in the Age Defender Power Serum with a pump bottle you never get all the product out of).

The top is a pop-up squeeze delivery top, very standard. Same, for example, as on the men’s Facial Fuel Energizing Face Wash. No problem there. But the Face Wash has a soft plastic bottle, so you can squeeze the stuff out through the top.

The Strengthening and Hydrating Hair Oil-in-Cream, this product, by contrast, has a HARD plastic bottle. Really hard. You can’t squeeze it. You have to unscrew the top, then hit the bottom like a bottle of catsup.

Ridiculous. It’s impossible to know how this mistake has been made, nor can I find any interest in the company in fixing it, having reported it before. If someone at Kiehl’s reading this would simply requisition a bottle of Strengthening and Hydrating Hair Oil-in-Cream and try squeezing it, they’d see instantly what a mistake the bottle is and they’d understand perfectly.

A complete mystery why the company won’t address this. Really disappointing. They seem very happy to waste our time letting us tell them these things and not rectifying them. Sorry for the unpleasant comment.

I have used this product for years now, and would not like to replace it. I have a head full of very curly hair, and I use this moisturizer on wet and dry hair, fresh and old hair, curly or straightened hair.

I believe that is gives the perfect about of shine and hair support without weighing it down. I have stopped my search and I hope to never need to look for another.

My hair has a curl when it’s wet but seems to weigh down once it dry and combed out. I decided to try this curl activator. I have a lot of hair and had to use a good amount on the pump. I placed it on wet hair.

When it was dry I noticed the curls stay more defined and bunched together rather then a mess it is without it. I made sure I did not comb much to keep some of the wave. However, with some brushing It does weaken the curl.

The smell is decent and not overpowering nor is it too much like a chemical scent. There are some brands that can make me sneeze but not the AU 2nd Day curl activation. My hair also feels smooth after use but one should gage how much is good for their hair.

Overuse can leave a sticky film. This is a good curl activator but it’s not long lasting if you have heavy hair. It worked for my hair to about the earlier part of the day. I have not paired other hair products with this to see if the curls with be sustained for a longer time.

Overall this product works for the majority of they day and is worth a try.

I wish Aussie would specify that this product is for African-American, or natural hair that is 3c to 4c in texture. This is an amazing and affordable product for the right hair textures. Unfortunately, there are bad reviews from people with hair textures that this product is not best intended for.

I usually look for products for my hair that specify they are intended for African American hair. I somehow stumbled upon this product and I fell in love! It smells great, is inexpensive, and usually easy to find in plenty of retailers.

I am a huge fan! I use this product on my wet 4b hair and let it dry naturally for curly wash and wear. I will place this product on my daughters 3c hair while wet and blow dry straight. It is shiny and moisturized without being greasy, flakey or drying.

I love all Aussie products! They really focus on providing products that meet specific hair needs. I have dry hair that is long and naturally curly. I love my curls, but I hate frizz! I find the way to keep my hair frizz free is to use products that are targeted toward preventing that.

Aussie Miracle Curls 2nd Day Curl Activator works exceptionally well on curly hair. It’s so easy to use and yields beautiful, frizz free curls that last all day long. Simply spray your dry hair, run your fingers through it, and then scrunch.

Your curls will feel soft, moisturized, and have a lovely scent too. The ingredients are excellent, and this is a must have for us curly girls! It also works really well when on vacation. You can skip that shampoo and just spray your hair and have fresh beautiful curls!.

I would recommend to friends and family. Palmer’s moisturizing hair oil leaves my hair shiny and doesn’t weigh down my hair. It doesn’t rub off on clothes nor pillows. Has a good scent, and shine last awhile.

This oil is very moisturizing for your hair however be prepared to smell it all day long in your hair. Peppermint hair is good for stimulating hair growth and Palmers is good with hydrating products so this is a great mix.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the scent is very strong so you will smell it all the time. I don’t like chocolate with mint so I don’t really like my hair smelling like a thin mint. If you like that scent then this will not be a problem for you.

I bought this on holiday in Queensland as my hair was fizzy with the humidity. It is lightweight and I only use a few drops, however it tends to make my hair feel heavy in patches. It’s better if I apply to dry than wet hair, just to ends.

The cap keeps popping off making it fiddly to use. I don’t think I would purchase again.

Have used many other hair oils on my curly/wavy hair, all with much disappointment. Curlicue Hair Oil is the first oil that does not weigh my hair down, tames the frizz without leaving my hair heavy with product.

This oil is very lightly hydrating and helps create soft wavy curls in my long thin hair. I find I have less split ends since using it and I’ve also used it as an overnight hydrating treatment on my roots and loved the results.
