20 Best Oils For Lip Balm (2022 Updated)

This tastes like Carmex and was a solid block of wax in a tube to squeeze out. I assumed by the ad I saw it would be a legit Kukui nut oil- based lip oil. I was dumb, and didn’t check the ingredients to see that lanolin and petrolatum were the first 2 ingredients.

Might as well just use Vaseline or Carmex if I wanted to put a petrol product on my lips and not really sustainable products (lanolin). I assumed more natural with the use of Hawaiian words like Hanalei and HQ in Hawaii.

But it feels more like appropriation. I ordered the special sample set of 3 for $8. The website said due to shipping delays, expect 4-6 days. Which I was fine with. It took 10 days to come to California from a warehouse in Colorado.

I’ve been scammed on IG before, so I was concerned that happened again. I emailed support and was just given a link I already had to track my shipment. It had over 40 entries “in transit” but not actually saying where it was.

I have the shop app. I also clicked on the hanalei tracker on in the email, it would say “just shipped” for the last 10 days. On my second email, I got a response that said the carrier is out of their control and I should check with the carrier on the delay.

It’s Hanalei’s product, and they chose the carrier. Why couldn’t they just send a courteous update that there was a longer delay than expected. Or actually find out why their carrier is delayed so badly.

I finally got the product. It was 3 tiny tubes sent in a oversized box. If it was just shipped in an USPS envelope, it would have been cheaper than $8 would have arrived way faster than Colorado. I’ve used better products that actually were natural and sustainable from small, local businesses that I know from living in Hawaii, and can ship to CA in no time from Hawaii.

Not distributing from some mainland warehouse. I should have tried this before telling my friends to try. But I let them know if they haven’t ordered yet.

I got this product for free in a subscription box so far I’m loving it. It’s perfect for the winter months since my lips get really dry and chapped. It’s effective the texture is my favorite part. It also adds a nice glossy shine to the lips.

It’s definitely a thicker formula but in the best way without being greasy or over the top. Great product that I will consider repurchasing the full size when I run out of my current sample which is 5ml/0.

17oz. It seems small but you really don’t need a lot of this product to get the results you want, so it lasts forever.

I have never used a lip oil before, and I fell in love with my 1st! The Chapstick Total Hydration Vitamin Enriched Lip Oil in Peach Tea has the wonderful aroma of peach tea and immediately rehydrated my dry lips and left I nice lip gloss like shine on my lips.

It has a slight peach tea color in the tube but goes on clear with a little bit of a sticky feel that melts away. I put this lip oil through the ringer and it performs everytime whether your dryness is caused from constant mask wearing or dry base board heat stealing moisture out of the air overnight.

This awesome, will rebuy.

this is such a lovely hydrator, it goes on so smoothly and makes your lips look + feel fantastic in the moment. i love reapplying throughout the day as a lip balm. it’s kind of thin and glossy and very comfortable.

as far as yielding any kind of long term results. there really aren’t any. my lips don’t feel more moisturized when i wake up than they do with any other chapstick-like product. worth a buy, the price isn’t terrible for an everyday balm but there are no overnight benefits like the name implies.

I have been looking for a dupe for the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm and this is the closest thing I’ve tried so far. It has a nice thickness to it but nothing goopy or sticky. It moisturizes well and makes my lips look shiny and supple.

I also really like the peach tea scent because it’s nice and light. I haven’t noticed any sort of taste. I love this and will be repurchasing whenever I run out!.

This lip oil is alright but nothing amazing. I was disappointed immediately when I saw the size, it is way smaller than I was expecting. $12 is not a lot but it’s definitely not the price I would have paid for this size.

The doefoot applicator is funky, it’s stiff and skinny and hard and at a really uncomfortable angle, but it’s not the biggest deal in the world. I knew this oil was tinting but I was not aware that it was staining, and it’s definitely a stain for sure.

I wouldn’t have gotten it if I knew that, I don’t enjoy the hue of the stain, it’s too bright, I was expecting a lighter tint that wipes off. Overall it’s okay if that’s the kind of product you’re looking for but I will not be purchasing it again.

🍎 With apple water for exfoliation and coconut oil for hydration, this lip “applecoco” lip oil is one I happened to stumble upon on Amazon after I realized my skincare stash of lip product had quickly diminished.

This brand is Korean Skincare- and is distributed out of San Francisco. 🌿It retails for $12 on Amazon. com and comes in a simple yet sleek cylinder packaging measuring contents right at 3. 5ml. 12 fl oz- 🌿So far I have given it 4 stars- it has a huge beautifully rounded and pointed doe-foot applicator and the formula feels divine on the lips.

My only negative? I wish that the formula lasted just a TAD longer on me. But I have researched the brand and they have a lip mask- 🌿I am going to give this more time in my skin- then possibly buy the lip mask for night 🌙 usage.

But for day- this is totally legit and a perfect purse carry- or the perfect oil treatment during traveling on a plane when your skin gets dry. 🙌 Highly recommend. ❤.

I love this product so much! I use it as is or with a gradient lip to add more shine and dimension. Has a nice light fragrance and no after taste which is nice. The tube is very small. There isn’t a whole lot so it goes quickly, which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars.

I love this lip oil. It feels very moisturising when you put it on and lasts a long time. It is mainly clear with a slight tint. It is fragrance free and doesn’t taste of anything – which I really like.

The quality is high and I think this is better than a lot of lip balms. I use it as an every day lip balm but also as a lip gloss. It is not sticky like others I’ve tried.

I have to admit, I haven’t used Chapstick brand lip products in YEARS. I am an avid lip balm collector, having at the very least 100 left after losing almost 100 while moving and this one is in my top 10 now.

I bought it for my oldest son who was looking for an orange flavored balm. I bought this one and a Burt’s Bees mandarin one for him to pick between and he picked the mandarin so I gave this one to my second oldest boy.

He had me smell it and it smelled so good! Then he asked me to try it on and I did and MY GOODNESS it is like SILK on my lips. This is a by far nothing like the original Chapstick lip balms and after my second oldest boy leaving this one laying around I confiscated it and happily use it daily.

I put it on before bed and wake up to the SOFTEST lips. Highly HIGHLY recommend this one!!.

I am always happy when a classic brand keeps their original product while innovating new items to stay modern. This is what Chapstick did with this “Relax” blend of lavender fragrance and essential oils.

This one comes in blister packaging as opposed to a stand alone item and this tube is larger but it functions the same; pull apart cap, twist bottom. I really enjoy the fragrance because it is a true lavender oil versus a synthetic overly sweet mixture.

I am giving it 4 stars because ideally it would last on my lips longer. It seems to fade quickly unless I am watching TV or something similar and it definitely doesn’t help under a longwear lip product.

This is literally oil. It is too messy to put on, especially during warmer months. It just melts away.

I received this complimentary from blue mercury. This lip oil was so refreshing. It left my lips super smooth and hydrated. Definitely gave me the hydration that I needed to my chapped lips. The texture is a tad sticky and it is hard to get out of the tube.

With a little bit of a tug the applicator will come out. Goes on smooth and you got pure moisture that you need.

Purchased as my wedding is upcoming and really wanted something to help hydrate my lips and get them ready for the day. This oil goes on so nicely. Not sticky at all. My lips feel hydrated and luscious and the gloss is amazing.

Found that if you try to put over certain lipsticks they will smudge, but you don’t need a lipstick under this. It really highlights your own natural beauty.

By far my favorite lip balm. I’m serious. The ingredient list is fabulous and each component is nourishing. The scent is a wonderful fresh aroma of lavender dominated by lemon. I’ll be honest, it may not be for everyone but I find it so calming.

They have other scents that are equally wonderful. Unlike most lip balms, this one completely coats and stays on your lips, replenishing any dryness. It is perfect for the winter time. It does not dry out after 30 mins like i have observed most lip balms do.

I’d describe the feeling as thick if that’s a concern of anyone. I love that factor, as I have extremely chapped lips in the winter. I’ve never experienced irritation as well or any concerns about the formula.

All of the ingredients are 100% natural. You CANNOT get any better than this. I put this on at night and wake up in the morning with it still on. It leaves the lips feeling moisturized and supple. I will never buy from another brand.

I have a terrible habit of biting my lips! I was researching “best chapsticks” one day and came across this on a “top 10” list (or something like that) so I went straight to Amazon and put in an order! Super cheap! Tried it out and within 3 days my lips were completely smooth, no cracks or anything! I also really love the lemon and lavender combo! As soon as you put it on, your lips feel amazing.

This Lip Balm is actually one of my favorites. I go through alot of lip balms more than anything, but this is on my top 5! It’s 100% natural with Orange and Ginger extracts, which leaves that amazing smell to your lips.

It is also a great lip balm to use before you apply lipstick where it won’t smear off, and will stay in place! I also found my through amazon and not sure where else you can buy from.

This is a lovely product to use either on it’s own or on top of a matte lipstick to give a more glossy effect. It’s non-sticky and feels really nice and hydrating. Ideal for keeping in your handbag for topping up during the day.

If using over lipstick it’s best to place a blob on your finger to apply rather than wiping the stick on your lips and transferring colour back into the tube.

This product saved my lips! I used to struggle trying to find lipsticks that would stop my lips from drying out but I don’t even need to think about that anymore with this product. I always use this to prime my lips before putting any colour on and my lips haven’t dried out once ever since! 5 stars all round!.

I have this in Scarlet + among all the [MANY] tinted lip balms I have, is definitely the easiest to apply + the best in appearance. It’s a dream product. It just goes on so smoothly + perfectly, it’s hydrating, and the color would be flattering on anyone.

Love the colour. Texture is a bit challenging, as the product doesn’t apply terrible smoothly right out of the tube, but once it warms a bit on the lips it’s very nice. I like that I get a wash of cranberry red that doesn’t require precise application with a mirror, and softening benefits at the same time.

I love these. I have it in every shade, I really hope they come out with more colors. It gives such a subtle, yet noticeable color. I also love the ingredients in these and I feel like I am doing my lips a favor every time I put it on.

I don’t like this lip balm at all. The applicator is very odd with the opening winder at the top which makes it hard to use and stay up. There is no taste or smell at all and the application is quite dry, not smooth and hydrating at all.

Very disappointed as I was hoping for a nice coconut smell.

Although this feels nice on the lips and moisturises well, you have to twist it anticlockwise to use it and then hold where you twist at the top to stop it going back down to be able to use it. It is the most frustrating functioning lip salve i have ever had.

It would have been given a 5 star otherwise as it does give good moisturisation. Will not buy this again and will no doubt throw it away out of frustration!.

My lips are very dry. This product was recommended in store. Excellent. Makes my lips so soft. I use it a few times a day, and before I go in bed.

Pure Coconut smells so bad. This is the only flavor/scent that i can find sadly. It honestly works, i just have to reapply every 25 minutes but it’s very moisturizing. For 4 dollars tho?? Idk about that.

I purchased this because it didn’t contain any petroleum. The scent is too overwhelming for me, like wax and coconut. Would like some sweetness to the smell and taste. The strong smell upsets my stomach some, so I will not be purchasing again.

This is really good though, and makes my lips smooth and hydrated.

Out of all the the lip balm I have ever tried this is my favorite!! This will not give me a wax feel on my lips and it’s all organic. It has all natural ingredients and no artificial color or flavors.

Picked this up a while ago but haven’t picked it up till recently when I noticed my lips required a little extra TLC. I believe I picked this up at Marshall’s. It retails for $3. 99. This product provides instant moisture to my lips.

It will takes them from cracked to healthy and moisturized within minutes. It also gives you a nice shine/gloss so that’s a plus in my book. It works better than balms that are much more expensive and it’s also vegan and cruelty free which I do try to be conscious about.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone!.

this is my honest review of this lip balm, I have really dry lips for reference 💞 pros: the smell is amazing, it has cute packaging, and amazing moisturization. cons: if it’s in a cold area it gets a little bit clumped together almost, and u have to warm it up on ur lips.

I have used a lot of lip balms and just finished a first aid beauty one that worked great. I bought this one as an impulse buy at checkout. I’ve used Shea Moisture products before and liked them, but this one was a miss.

Initially I liked it, thought it smelled nice and felt smooth going on. Not long after my lips felt dry again and I had to apply again. This keeps happening when I use it. I never had that issue before with other lip balms.

So, I’d say spend your money on another brand, there’s plenty of better ones out there.

I bought the LYS Beauty Speak Love lip oil on a whim – I had been wanting to try it, and I had enough points to get $10 off, so for a couple bucks I figured I would try it. I’m so happy I did! I’m absolutely obsessed with lip balms/treatments/oils/glosses, and I’m quite picky, and this oil is amazing!! No real scent (which is a massive bonus for me – I don’t need my lips to smell like b-day cake explosion), nice and cushiony feeling, non sticky, and has a beautiful shine to it.

As for the reviews saying the product comes partially empty, I can understand why people say that, but cosmetics are by weight, not volume, so it’s not actually missing any product. The lid feels nice and secure with a plug (?) that goes in through the hole to block any spilling.

The applicator is smooth and not difficult to use at all. I will be ordering at least one more – it’s that good!!.

Die Lippenöl aktiviert die eigene Lippenfarbe durch Aktivierung mittels ph Wert. Ich finde die Farbe auf meinen Lippen sehr schön und das Lippenöl ist angenehm auf den Lippen ohne einen klebrigen Gefühl auf den Lippen.

Für den Preis echt klasse. Werde mir das Produkt bestimmt nachkaufen.
