20 Best Oils For Skin Moisture (2022 Updated)

A true hidden gem. There’s no clout or social media influence on fresh products ever, they have poor advertising & marketing. (Please stay that way because if everyone knew how good this stuff was it would never be in stock.

) I’ve been using this since 2015/2016 when Sephora sold it out as a mini Christmas ornament gift. I know they only do that on great products (or at least they used to when I bought this). But truly an amazing job on Fresh’s end.

My skin looks amazing , always smooth and elasticity is good. I feel good about putting omegas on my skin that our bodies don’t naturally produce on their own. I put it on every night before bed and don’t wash my face in the AM.

I 10/10 recommend. If you are debating on spending the $50+ trust me just do it, and the bottle lasts for months. You are all welcome!.

Not everyone will like this oil. For reference I enjoy thick Nivea cream and Vaseline. My favorite face oil is Farmacy’s Honey Grail. This is thick and tacky. Personally it dries down a bit too much for my liking unlike the Farmacy one which was a comforting layer of moisture on my face throughout the night.

I also don’t enjoy the smell of this oil. Regardless is does do the job. If you don’t like thick oils this won’t be for you because even the dry down it will still be viable on your face. I recommend trying the FRESH Rose Serum Oil it’s super lightweight and love using in the summer if you do want an oil without the feeling.

I was so sad when I finished this oil as I enjoyed every last drop. Super hydrating and thick yet absorbs beautifully. I applied this generously to my face neck and sometimes chest nightly for a year! Yes a year.

This product lasts a long time. Absolutely worth the price. Seaberry or sea buckthorn is high in antioxidants. Amazing for the skin. Naturally anti-aging. If you are looking for an oil. I highly recommend.

Good for all skin types and skin tones. Sephora carry’s this and they are having their annual spring sale right now ! Great time to try it.

Love love love this oil! I have combination oily skin and cringed at the idea of putting oil of my face… not with this. It’s not a heavy oil when applied but it’s almost ‘thick’ enough that is doesn’t run everywhere when put in your hands.

It mixes really well with other creams if you want to add drops or if you want to apply directly to the face. I have never had trouble with this pilling which is a big pet peeve of mine. Has a sublet smell that’s really nice.

Everything about this is gentle. I have used this when my skin has a sensitive flare and it does not aggravate it. Lasts a long time. I add 2 drops to face cream maybe 3 if applying on its own, lasts a long time.

Have already purchased my second bottle.

This was gifted by Farmacy Beauty in exchange for an honest review. After around one week of use, I can see that this oil helps revitalise my skin. A little goes a long way, as I have combination skin- I personally don’t like my skin to be too oily.

I tend to use this more for night routine as I don’t really see this for using during the day time. But perhaps I may try this for dryer months. Pilling is something I strongly dislike when applying oily products, however I’ve not had a problem with that so far with this product.

It works well with my other honey Farmacy products like the ceramide moisterizer and the face mask! Also the smell is divine and would definitely recommend!.

This oil is amazing. I am quite new to Paula’s Choice & have tried a number of sample sized products and as this one only comes in full size, I thought I would take a chance. Well, I’m so glad I did & it’s now a staple product in my skin care routine.

I use it after cleansing & exfoliating and then I apply a mix of C15 & Peptide booster, followed by a few drops of this oil & my moisturiser (Skin Recovery SPF 30 daytime & Resist Anti Ageing Night cream with 0.

I use this product 5 days a week and it’s truly the answer to issues I’ve had for over a decade. I am so happy with this. I am 28, and have always suffered from acne and very dry and flaky skin. I’ve really tried many, many products to relieve both of these issues, including oils like Sunday Riley and other Paula’s Choice products, with only sight improvements.

Since I started using this three weeks ago, my forehead, which always had dry, flaky skin with persistent acne, drastically improved. Most of the zits close to my hairline are gone, and the dry, flaky skin is COMPLETELY GONE.

My forehead always had small bumps, but now it’s actually smoothing out and my makeup looks much better too. Overall, this product decreased my acne, decreased dry, flaky skin, smoothed my skin, moisturized my skin, and made my skin much softer.

This is very important to me because I thought I would never find relief for dry skin and persistent acne (even my dermatologist didn’t prescribe or recommend anything that helped). I hope other people find relief as well! It applies slightly greasy, but after a few minutes the greasy feeling is gone, unless I applied too much.

It’s not very heavy. I have a Sunday Riley oil “Juno” that’s much heavier. It did not burn or negatively impact my sensitive skin.

I may have reviewed this great product already, but I’ve recently discovered a new use for it that I have to share. Since my skin won’t tolerate products with fragrance, I’ve had to stop using all of my old scented hair products — at the order of my dermatologist.

I’ve replaced all shampoos and conditioners with unscented products. However — it’s impossible to find hair oil that ISN’T scented, so I had to give up on taming fly away strands for a while. After writing to Paula’s service team, I learned that a PC product I already use on my face — this Moisture Boost Oil — is suitable for use on hair.

It contains Argan oil, which is used in some hair products — but this oil is NOT scented and I am able to use it everywhere. Now I use a tiny bit on my fingers after I style my hair to tame frizzies, or sometimes rub some on my damp hair before styling.

It works beautifully! I only wish it wasn’t in a dropper bottle, so that it would be easier to use as a hair product. but I will continue to use and enjoy this lovely multi-purpose oil!.

As far aesthetics; this is an oil. In my opinion facial oils are facial oils and all feel quite similar on the skin. Sure, some might be thinner and seem more lightweight, but in general oils have a similar aesthetic and feel on the skin.

I used to be quite generous with oils for their supposed antioxidant properties until I learned that seed oils are considered to be quite concentrated- so you truly do not need a lot of product on the face to reap the benefits.

Seriously, you only need 2 maybe 3 drops max for the entire face. Plus, this will have a better aesthetic and feel on the skin. I must admit I am not the biggest fan of Sunday Riley’s products in general.

I find them to be full of fragrance and very expensive. This product is the definite exception since it is one of, if not the only S. R. product in their lineup. I also REALLY like the oils chosen in this formulation; this is chock FULL of berry seed oils which are naturally high in linoleic acid (the barrier repairing fatty acid), polyphenols, vitamin E, and beta carotene.

High linoleic oils: Blackberry seed oil, grape seed oil, red raspberry seed oil, blueberry seed oil, black cumin seed oil.

I bought this product probably 7 months ago and still have more than half a bottle left, I would use usually about 4 drops every night after my moisturiser, so a little goes a long way. I’ve had horrible acne for years where even prescription creams didn’t help much.

I took a chance with this because of such interesting ingredients, and it’s literally changed my skin so much for the better. I still get break outs sometimes, but they will only last a day or so before disappearing instead of scarring.

I feel like it’s helped with the inflammation as well as my skin is overall much less red than it used to be. I have tried soo many skin care products which would only make things worse, and feel like this is just definitely worth the money.

The best part about it is the amazing results while hydrating the skin too instead of drying it out and causing more issues like some other products for acne.

I bought the sample size of this a 3 months ago and I absolutely love it. I have just finished it and have now purchased the full size. Out of all of Sunday Riley’s oils I expected for Juno to be the least effective.

However I found it to be the best. It’s incredibly moisturising and soothing and I only need 3 drops for my entire face. I have relatively strong skin however I did have a reaction to another product and it had spread all over my lips and chin.

I cleansed my face and put on Juno and it calmed down immediately. When I apply this the night before, I wake up with the most untextured skin and I’m absolutely glowing. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend.

What can I say this product is like a magic elixir. I do routine dermaplaning for my skin and this product is intensely soothing to the skin and the senses. I have converted my husband as well. He loves it as an aftershave.

The scent is only slightly floral, very subtle but very aromatherapeutic in quality. I put 2-3 drops on my fingertips and pat lightly all over my face. As it warms to your skin, massage it over your ears and down into your neck.

I follow up with Double Serum. I am absolutely in love with this product!.

Blue Orchid Face Cream Oil has become a favorite product of mine. I recently ordered my second bottle. I think the skin oil is absorbed well by the skin. It nourishes and helps to hydrate the skin. I live in a large city and the pollution quotient rises in the heat of summer so I feel it is protective too.

The oil has a pleasant, mild natural fragrance. One bottle lasts a long time. I use maybe 3-4 drops of the oil both a. m. and p. m. on my face after cleansing and on the décolleté area.

I love in SoCal where Santa Ana winds are ruthless on delicate vegetation and my already dry skin. This oil gives my skin the desperately needed protection and comfort during those times and on those days when my moisturizer needs that something extra.

Although some may have complained about the scent of this oil, I absolutely enjoy it. The strong botanical smell brings my mind at ease and sets the mood that “help is on the way” whenever the desert winds are cruel.

I appreciate the creation of this essential product in my skincare arsenal and hope Clarins NEVER discontinues it.

This is an amazing nighttime oil for dry skin like mine. It took a few days to about a week for my skin to adjust to me adding this into my routine but once it did, my skin has never looked and felt better! You could literally just use the b oil as a moisturizer in a pinch cause it moisturizes that well.

It makes any face cream feel like a luxury cream and gives me a lit from within glow. The smell is more like seaweed to me which I actually quite like. It’s not fishy to me at all. To me, the rose hip seed oil was fishy smelling for some odd reason so I really appreciate the more herbal smell of the b oil.

I used to struggle with patches of dry skin that would look horrible and even worse under makeup! I flew to the nearest [brand:deciem] store, a province to the west, quite a trip for skincare, but if you know [brand:deciem], you know the obsession! I was told about this amino acid, they explained that it would be perfect for someone with the issues I have.

I tried it with the ‘B’ oil, amino acid first step, then ‘B’ oil, second step. Then finish with whatever product is suitable for your skincare needs. My skin has never been the same again, it’s clearer, smooth, and no more rough or dry peeling skin.

I’ve been on a mission to try and convert to clean skin are produce while using up what I currently have in my vanity and Ósea has been on my radar for quite some time. I love face oils and actually find them to work my oily acne prone skin.

I get hormonal and stress acne but find that oils help combat the dry skin from potential interactions with anti acne treatments. The biggest con is the price. $36 for a small rollerball facial oil that is best meant for travel or to throw in your purse or makeup bag is too much.

However, since the brand is very clean, and committed to making eco friendly and conscious skincare, I can see why it would cost that much. First off, smells amazing! Reminds me of eucalyptus but ingredients are geranium, macadamia, jojoba, and lavender so the scent is very relaxing when used at night (like I do).

It rolls on a good amount of oil and blends nicely into my skin, and I’ve even used it with my Gua Shua tool. It’s basically fatty acids for skin which helps plump and smooth fine lines, which at 38, I’m all about.

Overall, I’m very pleased with this product in terms of ingredients, scent, quality, and benefits. I can’t say it helps with long term reduction of fine lines because I haven’t used it that long but can say my skin does have a nice glow when I use this.

However, I’m still on the fence about buying again based on the size and price 🤔.

I can’t even tell you how much of a game changer this one product has been for my skin. I’m obsessed with all of their products but this one in particular is the only product you would ever need. All moisturizers clog and congest my pores.

This product is extremely gentle – I have lived with very very sensitive skin on the face for many years and tried too many different products to name but from the first use of this my skin relaxed. I’m a woman of a certain age that’s always taken care of my skin. That adds up to tons of products over the years (yikes!), many that have done a good job. THIS OIL does a GREAT job with softening, firming, and improving even the texture of already good skin.

SO GLAD I TRIED THIS! I even use it on my hands, since these days, they need even more help than my face and neck do, LOL. The slight scent is the fatty acids (not added fragrance at all — these are unadulterated oils, folks), and it’s very faint and easily gotten used to.

This is my second time purchasing this product. The oil is light and absorbs into my skin quickly. Great for prepping skin for makeup or as a compliment to a nighttime routine. I would describe the smell as sweet with a metallic tone–surprisingly nice.

My skin tone has improved since I started using this oil approx. 6 months ago, and my (modest) hormonal breakouts don’t seem to be as severe. I’m not sure I would give all the credit to this oil, but I can’t ignore the fact that my skin seems to have improved since I started using it.

this is an amazing oil. I’ve tried a few from different brands and this is by far my favorite oil. it doesn’t break me out and it doesn’t leave my skin greasy, I can put it under my eyes if I’m having extra dry under eyes underneath my concealer and I can wear it at night as my last step in my skin care.

it’s very versatile. I like it over Josie Maran’s Argan oil and Sunday Riley’s Luna oil or Martian oil. it’s the best one I’ve tried that does what it says and doesn’t leave my skin greasy or acne riddled.

it does exactly what it’s supposed to do on any area of my skin. in the wintertime I like to use this with under my makeup in the morning. I will put this on then apply my primer, wait 10 minutes and then apply my makeup.

it does a fantastic job and it doesn’t break up my makeup throughout the day like most oil would. I think this is great for any skin type. I started using this when I had normal skin and transitioned to dry and flaky skin and it still does great things.

Alright, ive been using this oil for several months now. The bottle itself is nice. Squared glass dropper styled bottle. It does look pleasing in my skincare collection (for those for enjoy product appearance).

If you are sensitive to scents, this product is NOT for you. Very potent floral scent. When it comes to the feel of the oil, on a scale of light to heavy it falls somewhere in the middle leaning more to light side.

It does feel nice applying and it absorbs alright. It is a very pleasant oil. However, there is no difference at all in my skin. Though its for youth preserving (and not decreasing signs of aging), theres no healthy glow or ant other satisfying results.

Its done nothing. Maybe if someone with NO signs of aging uses this, perhaps it will delay fine lines or the other negative traits that come with age, but i wouldnt get this product hoping to see changes to the skin.

One lovely thing I must add in though is that I often add several drops of this to my baths and LOVE it. My body cant get enough and it leaves my skin soft with a nice floral scent. I love adding it whenever I have to shave.

If I were to rate this product as a bath oil I would have given it more than the 3 stars I gave. However, for my face it just didnt do anything that wasn’t already being done by another product. I can usually see changes in my skin when using oils, but there just wasn’t anything with this.

I wont be buying it again. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone who wants noticeable results from a product.

I have tried at least 80 face oils and this one blows them all away! First of all…the smell. Omg the Orchid/ Jasmine scent is heavenly. It’s not overpowering at all. And it doesn’t linger for too long either.

It feels luxurious, it smells luxurious, and it looks luxurious. My skin drinks it up. I have combo/dry skin. It never feels heavy or like it’s just sitting on top of my skin. It definitely plumps my skin, my smile lines are always reduced when I use this.

I use it every other night. I would recommend using it in place of your moisturizer but you can put it on top of your moisturizer. I have tried several Herbivore products and nothing disappoints me by them.

Fun fact: Herbivore was started in a little kitchen in Seattle Washington by a husband and wife, they became huge on Etsy and then Sephora started carrying their line. Bottom line-try this and guaranteed you will fall in love.

I have to say that anything made by the brand Herbivore is 5 star without a doubt in my mind and soul!!! They honestly make their products without a single little ounce of negative things at anytime or anyplace, literally every single one of their products works true wonders!!! Ok so about this Orchid facial oil, another product of theirs that works magical wonders, and it smells AMAZING!!! Like literally walking through a field of flowers, the texture of this oil on your face is truly MAGICAL, I’m serious I’ve tried NUMEROUS facial oils and beauty skin products and there’s no other brand besides Herbivore that is more natural, amazing, and better for your skin than ALL of their products!! Overall I would have to say that this product is just okay. Here is why: to start off, the label, at least in my opinion is a bit misleading. When I laid my eyes on it in Target, I thought that it was going to smell like coconut since that was one of the main ingredients within the oil.

But, when I got home and realized that it didn’t have a scent at all, I was kinda disappointed. Second, the product feels a little bit like I am putting canola oil on my face. It might just be the yellow tint it has to it? But I wasn’t necessarily loving it.

Overall, the product does it’s job, it definitely hydrated my face, but it also caused me to break out slightly on my cheeks. My suggestion is that if you have oily skin or are acne-prone, this isn’t the facial oil for you.

I LOVE this product. I have really sensitive skin, can get very red, dry but sometimes oily, and a lot of products just are too harsh and make me break out. I use the shea moisture coconut oil moisturizer, so I thought I would give this a shot.

it’s so nice. my skin has gotta visibly less red & feels super soft as well. haven’t had a breakout from it either. I use it on top of the moisturizer bc if I use it first, it doesn’t mix as well. but once I figured out the routine, I loved it.

The feel is lightweight and I like the dropper applicator. I have used it three times and it has not broke me out. I have combination skin that tends to be on the drier side in the winter months (of course).

I haven’t really used it long enough to give it stars for performance yet. The only negative is it smells like regular cooking oil. like vegetable or olive cooking oil. Not the greatest scent when it’s sitting on your face.

So I got my first Elemis product through boxycharm and I’m so glad I did because I usually buy rediculousky expensive stuff that isn’t that great and I probably would would never have gotten around to trying this.

I started with the rose oil which I really like well the combination skin it’s just a little too early for me so I ended up buying the whole super food set and I cannot believe what this oil has done to my skin I am so amazed I actually decided to go a super food because I absolutely love the night cream it’s the best night cream I’ve ever tried and I have tried hundreds of creams and I also really one of the day cream so the set just made sense I stumbled upon the oil and I’m very happy I did.

My face is so clear can I have the worst acne prone skin that leaves very red marks when I break out! I can’t see any pores in my face anymore my skin look so smooth! The lines are plumped which I didn’t even know how to recognize until now.

I’ve never had a product that actually does what it says until now and I can’t believe I didn’t know about this year‘s ago. I just tried the superfood juice serum this morning and I love that too. I hit the jackpot with this line and I will definitely be sticking with Elemis from now on.

It’s hard to go by reviews because everybody’s skin is different but the stuff is absolutely worth trying they even have the smaller bottles if you want to try a smaller one first. But if you have reactive, acne prone, combination skin like me don’t hold back because of fear of breaking out because Elemis has thought of everything when they made this line.

You may even be able to get a sample from the company which I actually had the whole time and never knew so I’m going through the sample bottle first and it’s a decent size.

I’ve been using Indie Lee’s Squalane oil for many years, long before it was offered at Sephora. There is a trend with this oil because it has a lot of benefits so many brands have their version. I’ve tried so many but always come back to this one.

For me, it absorbs fully. A little goes a very long way. I use it morning and night except during the summer when I only use at night unless my skin gets dry. I have used prescription Tretinoin cream for 15 years.

My skin is sensitive and very prone to dryness. This is the only thing that quenches it and makes my skin feel comfortable. I hate my skin to feel tight and pull and this stops it completely. I have purchased face creams for hundreds of dollars that don’t comfort my skin the way this oil does.

I have told friends about it through the years. They would complain about their skin and I’ve told them over and over about this oil. Some would take years to listen to me, but everyone of them fell in love with it once they got over their fear of using an oil.

(Some had very oily skin and was afraid of making their skin oilier). From years of drying powder and setting spray they have dehydrated their skin and complain their makeup isnt lasting but their skin is trying to absorb everything they put on it because it is ravenous for moisture.

The minute they gave it this their makeup started holding again and their skin started feeling and looking better. I have another friend going through chemo for breast cancer and she said it’s the only thing that helps her skin now.

If you look at the ingredients of many creams you will see Squalane listed, but so many of them don’t do what this oil will do. I mix it into creams. I mix it into my prescription tretinoin cream. It’s one of the few things I am loyal to and repurchase over and over.

Squalane is noncomedogenic and won’t clog pores. Be careful if you try to use similar things because there is also Squalene, “e” not “a” and it is very noncomedogenic and can cause breakouts.

So far after having this about a month, I haven’t noticed any difference. A little goes a long way and I can apply it while the toner is still drying so it doesn’t go on too thick. I like this type of application the best because this oil is very ‘oily.

‘ I thought it may be a lighter oil (and it’s not the heaviest I’ve used) but it isn’t super light. I definitely have an oily, slick look after I apply this. So, I try to keep it to bedtime or just the tiniest amount (which is hard to do) for daytime and/or under makeup.

I was looking for plumper skin and an evening out of lines and dark spots, but so far haven’t seen any improvement. Hopefully this will change as I go through the bottle.

I really wanted to love this oil, given its single clean ingredient and everything I’ve read about the benefits of squalene for oily, acne-prone skin. While it doesn’t irritate my skin at all, or produce new breakouts, I don’t find it adds hydration or soothes my skin the way I hoped it would.

It never really sinks in, even overnight. I suspect it’s a great product, but my personal skin type (oily, sensitive and acne-prone) simply doesn’t work with it the best. It feels high quality, has no smell (that part I LOVE), and dispenses nicely.

For the right skin type I’d say it’s a good pick.

If I could give this product a 100 I will because 5 stars isn’t just enough. Yes I KNOW ITS EXPENSIVE AND EVERYTHING, but I never never had a product that works so good on my skin until I met this oil.

My skin usually gets horrible during winter season, my face gets so dry and eventually my skin starts breaking down due to extreme dryness despite the moisturizing routine I do, I usually end up having problems on the side of my lips, it tends to get so dry and then starts to get really itchy and eventually breaking and then gets discolored for some reason idk why but it’s just gets dark the side of my lips which is very unpleasant to look at, I got a sample size of this product and I just decided to use it one night I love everything about it continued using it and then in as little as 3 days the darkness lightened up and the dryness of my skin especially side of my lips disappeared, DISAPPEARED.

I’ve been using this product for a month now. My skin is hydrated, dewy, and breakout free. I am amazed at how my skin just drinks it up. There’s no oily layer either. I put on about 3-5 drops and massage it in, morning and night, right away my face looks hydrated.

I love everything about this product, now if only we could work on that price.

I unfortunately love this oil. I have always wanted to try la mer and decided for the Sephora sale to get the mini before spending on the full size but I will absolutely be purchasing it. The mini even will last a long time.

Ive used it morning and night for the past two weeks and it still looks full. You just need 3-4 drops and press into your skin. It does not make you super oily it absorbs right in and leaves the best glow.

I purchased the Counter + 3 Balancing Facial Oil and started using it. It made such a difference I purchased the facial cleanser, then toner and a few other products. The facial oil continues to treat my skin and keep it balanced, with less breakouts and less redness and irritation.

I will continue to purchase this product and parts of the product line until I need to move into a more anti-aging line of products but will stay with the beauty counter line.

I just purchased this in the fall to help me with my winter skin. I did not write a review at first, because I really wanted to see what I thought of it. OMG, this is by far my most favorite of all BC products-which I hate to put it above the other items that I love, but this just makes my skin feel so incredibly soft and moisturized-and it really helps my makeup just really adhere and stay on all day.

I add a few drops to my morning Soft Cream and the compliments I have been getting are amazing. I am heartbroken to hear this is being discontinued when I just fell in love with it. Perhaps a little more of a marketing push with this item and it can stay in stock?!.
