20 Best Oils For Sore Throat (2022 Updated)

I love this oil! I first purchased it last year before leaving for the mission field of Belize. My boys have respiratory issues from time to time so when they get congested, I use the roll on on them.

It seems to help calm them as well as help their coughs and breathing! This scent smells so good! I think it smells like a freshly powdered baby! 😃 I love it!.

I bought this months ago, but only started using it a few noghts ago, when my 2 year old had a cough after having a runny nose. I didn’t have high expectations and more certainly did not expect this to work all night.

My child went from two dreadful nights or coughing and not sleeping more than two hours in a row to not coughing AT ALL the entire noght. I was speechless the next morning. I only have the roller so I used it topically but I am going to also purchase the regular oil to diffuse it too.

I am 100% amazed.

This is my new seasonal go to/favorite for nighttime sniffles! I rubbed a few drops (diluted in jojoba) on my 5 and 7yr olds chest before bed when they had a cough and it truly stopped it! I also diffused it for a while before bed during our story time.

I don’t typically like spearmint in blends because I feel it’s overpowering but not in this one. It also doesn’t have an overwhelmingly medicinal smell either. It’s fresh, and opens up the airway in such a gentle way.

Love it!!.

I bought 10ml bottle and really liked the smell. This helped my family to clear blocked noise. Then I bought 100ml bottle which does not have the same smell and effect. This new bottle does not have the fresh peppermint smell at all.

I have used dozens and dozens of essential oils. Previously, I had Now sweet orange and I loved it, so I got this larger bottle of orange oil. I have to use a ton of it to smell it. I used to use 5-10 drops (with lavender and patchouli) in my diffuser.

With these I can use 20 drops or more and still not smell it. I have a very strong sense of smell. I can smell people’s laundry drying (or on their clothes) when walking around the neighborhood, so it’s not my smell.

It may be a fluke, but I’ll go back to the sweet orange next time. I like all the other essential oils I got from Now.

Following a suggestion, I have been using a few drops of this oil on a skin fungal infection, which I usually treat with medial creams. The result has been unexpectedly good. It’s actually more effective than prescribed creams/ointments.

Only thing to bear in mind: be parsimonious when applying it directly on skin. A few drops on a cotton pad will do. Anymore than that it may cause irritation.

Great, great, great! Use it for almost everything – mixed with coconut oil, jojoba etc. For the face, intimate, for treating fungal infections, bacterias, etc. Even for a desinfections and adding drops into the wasing machine.

This is great stuff, good for the odd spot, minor wound, bites, the list goes on. Would recommend. Good for a nore organic and eco friendly approach.

Ravintsara is an oil that reminds me a lot of Vicks Vaporub. It has that medicinal, camphoraceous aroma that goes right to the nose and opens things up right away! It has a scent very reminiscent of eucalyptus and is a great oil to diffuse when you’re stuffy or congested.

It is amazing in an inhaler! Also, body washes and blends in a diffuser are a great way to use the oil. It’s a great companion piece if you have or enjoy a lot of medicinal, eucalyptus type scents. I’d recommend more experienced essential oil users giving it a shot!.

I had bought this oil because of its aniti-everything properties , I did lots of research and it is considered the most potent essential oil that combats againt viruses including Covid type viruses and multiple types of bacterias.

It also has lots of other various marvelous benifits too. I had bough other oils in the past from Plant Therapy and each of them are of high quality true oils. The Ravintsara oil is kinda tricky to buy from other souces because you don’t know or may never know if its altered.

This oil is pure & authentic, just as all the plant Therapy oils are. It also has a data sheet tnat you can view on their website. I trust Plant Therapy’s quality enough to be compleatly comfortable with using their oils.

to aid in my health. I love the oil, it has a nice light eucalyptus-like scent but not too medicine scent. It has superb ant-viral, anti-bacterial. properties. I use it deluted and rub it all over on my face for sinus flare-ups to prevent sinus infections.

I had three sinuse flare-ups since I bought this oil & all three times I got relief and symtoms went away after about three to four days of applying without taking allergy pills or having it worsen. It helps protect me from Covid type viruses.

Firstly, I really like the new lovely and strong packing tubes to all planet therapy EOs. My kids will reuse this quality packing tube for crafting. I didn’t know Ravintsara EO. But my kids have running nose when they wake up in the morning.

I search the website and found out it is good for the respiratory system, and the smell is quite nice. I diffuse it with sandalwoods and frankincense at night for whole family for couple hours. It helped with breathing while moisture the air.

The whiff of smell of this recipes is very nice and bring the benefit to my family.

This really helps to stop coughs esp. when I get those tickles in my throat…almost instant after spraying it. Thank you and hope you sell this forever!!

✨Overall Impression✨ I want to start off and say that I’m very very particular about lavender oils. Lavender is by far my favorite scent, second to jasmine. I’ve been exposed to high grade lavender essential oils ever since childhood due to my cultural background and honestly not much is compared to the essential oils I’ve been exposed to growing up, besides high-grade lavender essential oils from France.

I love this particular lavender essential oil because it is 💦potent💦 (yup – I literally die at this). Spike lavender is the same as Spanish lavender, which is regarded to be a more potent type of lavender essential oil.

I just love the particular smell of this, even compared to the regular lavender essential oil that is sold by the NOW brand. ✨How I Use This✨ I use this oil to make my own perfumes, as well as in my essential oil diffusers and sprays for my sheets and pillow.

✨Tips Tricks✨ I use this lavender oil to blend my own perfumes. Before I leave the house, I will use a few drops of this on my inner elbow and wrists, and mix it with a more base heavy kind of scent, like sandalwood or patchouli.

At the same time, I will do this while mixing it into a small amount of moisturizer with oils in it. This will extend the wear of the scent. ✨Will I Repurchase?✨ This is great for the price and amount received.

I’ve used essential oils (EOs) for 47 years (that’s right) for all types of purposes and frankly I was an essential oil snob for too many of these years. Obviously I’ve had time to compare multiple brands.

There are lots of very high priced oils that claim their product is the purest, and the best because of their distillation process. There are some pretty crappy cheap oils on the market and frankly, some sub-par very expensive oils too.

These days, the bottom line for me is only if it works well. I no longer buy into “the more expensive the oil, the better”. I am very satisfied with NOW oils so far. You can purchase bigger bottles at great prices as opposed to the tiny bottles aromatherapists are used to.

Quality doesn’t have to be expensive. I haven’t tried all of NOW’s oils but I do have quite a few and there aren’t any differences between NOW and the way too many costly brands I’ve purchased in the past (you know the brands I’m talking about).

Seriously. Remember to read the product description carefully. It will tell you if the oil is suspended in a carrier oil or is pure. I’ve only purchased pure EOs from NOW and I have no complaints about the scent, the color, the feel/consistency, or the efficacy of the oils for the uses I put them to.

Their myrrh oil is as good as any brand I’ve ever used and I have purchased some very expensive myrrh oils in the past. Super pleased with this oil (and the others I have purchased) and the price. I’m very thankfuI Now Foods has entered into the world of essential oils because this market is overwhelmed with tiny bottles of oils that are way too costly just because they could.

I have rosacea, after finding out that it is a bacterial infection under the first layer of skin I decided to try Tea Tree Oil as a natural anti-bacterial. My skin has never looked better. It takes time to show dramatic results but it’s woth it.

Essential and natural first-aid and beauty item. Not for everday use but I use it on any cuts/abrasions (dabbed on with a Q-tip) and I occasionally mix a few drops in with my facial cleanser when my skin is irritated.

It also clears pimples FAST (my daughter swears by it. ) One bottle lasts a very long time.

I became a huge fan of tea tree oil a few years back when I had to stop getting waxed. I realize that I’m sensitive down in my vaginal area, so I have to be careful of what products I use to clean or even just lotions.

Waxing really tore me up and gave me horrible ingrowns and left me with scars. I did some research about what I could do after shaving and tea tree oil was one of the first things to show up. I did lots of research through the internet and reviews and realized it helps with so much stuff.

For me it was yeast infections that I seem to be prone to after my first child and it helped significantly with the healing of shaving. It helps with inflammation after shaving and helps with the itching afterwards.

Gd size with authentic tea tree within. our family uses this liberally. -For zits: apply neat on congested areas. pimples dry up within 2 days -for immune protection: we dilute with jojoba oil and apply on chest and back and soles of feet before sleeping.

Useful for flu. Prevents flu and shortens the duration of one. -anti fungal: drop on soles of sports shoes after airing them out. Apply on soles before wearing socks pre-run or before going to school.

Socks smell fresher at the end of the day. Bonus is no fungus on feet. -Air freshener: mix with lemon and eucalyptus to clean the air. So purifying.

So we were told by a veterinarian to try this diluted with some water and spray this on my dog. He has allergies so it’s hard to put flea meds or dips to help keep fleas away. He is an inside dog but we’re still cautious about fleas.

I very recently bought this item if i had a truly honest feedback for this item i would never had bought it. For years i have been using eucalyptus oil in the flu season. I put a few drop on my pillow when i have a cold and also put in diffuser to help the air fresh.

The small of this item it completely goes away the moment it leaves the bottle. I would not waste my on this. Although, i have been buying my products form Swanson for years. I always bought as guest because i do not want to receive emails.

I’ve tried a lot of different lavenders over the years, alone and in blends, and this is my favorite one I always come back to. Others are too sweet or too faint or too musky, or I don’t know what. This one is just right by itself without any dilution from other scents to tone it down.

Lately I’ve been mixing my own handsoaps with essential oils, and the ones I use with 15-20 drops of this have been my favorites most like what you buy in stores. Sometimes I mix it with peppermint oil, but it’s really nice all by itself.

There are some oils that never wash out of your clothes. This will wash out of your clothes completely and is great value and quality for the money. I’ve liked pretty much everything from this brand.

I’ve purchased Nature’s Alchemy essential oils for more than 20 years and never been disappointed until now. I specifically buy Peppermint and at one time it was the best beans in the market and I told everyone to buy it.

The last 10 bottles I purchased had a strange top note and little peppermint … finishing with a chemical scent. I won’t ever buy again… from top to bottom …. SAD!.

I always loved the Aura Cacia body cream in this fragrance– very citrusy sweet, with a nice undercurrent of earthiness– but it’s been discontinued for a while, and now impossible to find. The roll-on fragrance is just as nice, and lasts pretty well for an oil.

(Not as long as a standard perfume scent, but quite long for a natural oil. ) I hope they keep making this! (Why it’s still sold in the roll-on & the bath fizz but not the lotion? I have no idea. ) I like my roll-on so much I’m ordering another for a friend who also was sad when they discontinued the lotion too!.

Although the scent is wonderful, there is far too much carrier oil in my opinion. When I roll on a *lot* of it and sniff it right away, it is bright and green and open, but minutes later the scent is already gone.

I use a lot of essential oils, rather than chemical scents, so I’m accustomed to some scents dissipating quickly, but this is truly gone in a flash. My individual oils of geranium and lemon last much longer than this, but this blend is much more beautiful as there is a lot more going on in the blend.

It’s just too bad there is so little of the essential oils and so much carrier oil.

Aura Cacia’s Chakra Balancing Aromatherapy oil blends are wonderful (and I think healthier) alternatives to conventional perfumes and this one’s got a light, fresh, lemony/citrus scent. A great pick-me-up, it’s easy to just roll on your wrists and then breathe deeply to enjoy a little aromatherapy-on-the-go.

The scent lingers for 10 or 15 minutes. They’re portable enough to fit easily in a pocket (it comes in a small perfume size roll-on glass bottle, thinner than a chapstick and close to the same size).

Lemon is great for improving focus/concentration (do a quick Google search on lemon in Japanese offices and you’ll see what I mean). This whole line of Chakra Balancers is a great express lane to learning more about the delicate art of aromatherapy (the therapeutic use of “essential oils”); I’ve tried three, so far, and like them all.

I used to absolutely hate tea tree oil because of the scent but I will say that it has definitely grown on me and I actually even kind of enjoy the smell of it now. I use tea tree oil (along with a few other essential oils) mixed with water as a bug repellent in the spring and summer and it works really well when sprayed on windowsills, inside and outside of doors and windows etc **HOWEVER**.

my main use and my favorite use for this oil is using it to steam my face. I boil a large pot of water on the stove and then I add about 10 drops of tea tree oil along with a few others (lavender, peppermint eucalyptus, rose and sometimes a tiny bit of frankincense), then I bring it to my bathroom, set it on the floor, sit on the floor and drape a towel over my head and around the pot and breathe deeply and slowly, kind of like a meditation for at least 5 mins but I try and aim for 10.

OH EM GEE let me tell y’all, on nights when I do this (after cleansing, exfoliating and toning but before everything else in my skincare routine I cannot stop touching my face. Even the whole next day my face feels like silk.

Not only that but it also makes it look amazing and feel so incredibly fresh and clean. I try to do this once a week but if I had the time and the patience I would do it every single night. It’s just so good for the skin and the steam opens the pores making it super easy for the skin to truly absorb the serums, treatments and moisturizers I use afterwards.

I just bought the real eucalyptus branches and put it into my bathroom. Oh my god… when I take a hot shower, the temperature rises and eucalyptus starts to give off its incredible aroma… it’s just a heaven! #nature.

One of the better Australian Sandalwood oils on the market. I have been hunting around for the best oil I can find and this one comes close. It is a little expensive for 8mL but can be purchased when there is a sale.

The dropper controls the quantity of oil that is released, so this bottle will last a long time. This oil is not as sweet as Sandalwood Album, but it blend well with other oils and also lasts a long time when applied to wrists, etc.

A great reliable product. Easy. I haven’t purchased any oils since my pre-nesting days, but was encouraged to again when I recently received an Ultrasonic diffuser (brilliant things!). I purchased some old favourites like Zanzibar and Passion, and was thrilled when I found them to be as satisfying as I remember.

Bravo! Lime is a new venture for me as it is in so many of my favourite blends. So I’ve had some good fun experimenting with its quantities and partner oils. Thank you, I am very satisfied. XY. (Do you ever release essential Vanilla??!).

The scent is very faint for me, I’m sure a result of being diluted with jojoba oil. I had a pure neroli oil from another brand which had a stronger scent and only required a couple of drops in the diffuser.

This one requires a lot more. I also tried to make a roll on to use as a perfume and I keep having to add more drops. I am a new In Essence customer and am loving the other oils I purchased. I was lucky to buy the neroli on sale so glad I didn’t pay full price.

I would not buy this neroli again. I would prefer to pay a bit more for an undiluted version.

For the purposes of diffusing lavender essential oil to create a relaxing atmosphere, this oil is great. almost a little too great! I added a few drops to my diffuser and once I start diffusing, its a bit pungent almost down the hall.

Usually when I diffuse my essential oils from YoungLiving, it usually takes a few more drops and the scent remains contained to my room. I think because of that, I would love for them to share more about how the essential oil is gathered and its purity because I almost want to say it may feel a little synthetic, but it’s great for setting a relaxing atmosphere and I just use it before I go to sleep.

This smells amazing. It’s super concentrated, so you don’t need much. I actually got this for my dryer balls. I don’t like lavender, eucalyptus would be gross (smell like grandma with the vicks, lol), there were others, but not something I would want my laundry smelling like.

This oil is perfect. The bottle is also about twice the size of what you would buy in the store (and about 50x better quality).

I use essential oils all the time. I was a little skeptical about this price but after purchasing and using, I found it to be therapeutical grade. I could not be more pleased! I drop the lemon in all my cleaning products, in my lotions, and Castile soap.

I now don’t have to pay for name brand, fancy packaging, and advertising.

I discovered this brand years ago, and I’ve loved them ever since! It was great finding them on eBay! These oils are exceptional quality! There’s nothing you can’t use them for, the benefits are wide ranging.

I have used many brands of essential oils but I keep returning to Ancient Wisdom oils as they are a superior quality and smell amazing. Loads to choose from an excellent buy.
