20 Best Oils For Stretch Marks (2022 Updated)

I have been using this for 7 or 8 weeks, and I am beyond impressed by the results. I had my first child near the end of last year, and since then I have been left with stretch marks that make me a little self conscious.

I know they are natural and somewhat beautiful as they are the aftermath of a wonderful situation, but I am just not used to seeing them. I began doing some research and came across the Palmers Cocoa Therapy Oil, and decided to give it a shot.

I read the positive reviews and hoped for the best. Now that I have purchased and used it, I am so glad to be able to add to those positive reviews. This stuff is amazing. It feels so smooth and soft on the skin, easily rubs in, and does not leave me with a greasy feeling.

I typically apply it when I wake up in the morning, and after showering at night. It has made a world of difference in my skin, as my stretch marks are fading and becoming less noticeable by day. My husband even commented on it, which was quite the confidence boost! It is packed full of wonderful ingredients, such as cocoa butter, vitamin e, sesame oil, canola oil, and rosehip oil, which do a great job moisturizing, diminishing lines and wrinkles, toning the skin, and giving it a soft and supple appearance.

It is preservative free and is mineral oil free, which I am thankful for. Mineral oil has always irritated my skin, so I typically have trouble finding beauty products without this ingredient. Overall, I just cannot say enough good things about this product, and I am so happy that I gave it a shot.

Plus, the price makes it well worth it, as it is a great value for the money. Even after using it for weeks, I still have a good amount of the bottle left to go, which gives my skin more opportunity to improve.

I give it a 10/10 and I cannot wait to continue using it!.

Hi like that this oil has a lot of product, and claims to be mineral, phthalate, and paraben free. The bottle has 5. 1 Fl. Oz. The bottle claims it helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, dry damaged skin, uneven skin and aging skin.

I have not seen any difference in my scars. The oil runs into the skin, as opposed to sitting on top of the skin, which I appreciate. The pump is okay, I would choose a different sort of pump. It squirts out into a stream, and gives quite a lot of product in one pump.

I don’t care for the scent. It smells like baby oil. Since the bottle claims to have argan oil in it, which I cannot smell, I would just take the synthetic fragrances out and let the smell of the argan oil take center stage.

Overall, nice oil that is questionable on its claims to improve skin appearance.

I am a postpartum mom who unfortunately got some stretch marks from my pregnancy. I started using this welda stretch mark oil for a few weeks and let me just tell you that this stuff really does work.

While my stretch marks arent gone completely; I actually dont think they will ever go away to be honest but this oil did help minimize the look of my stretch marks. Without using this oil my stomachs stretch marks look purple.

After using this oil my stretch marks turn the color of my skin just a tad bit lighter. This is a win win for me honestly because I am self conscious about my stretch marks. I really appreciate the diminished look of my stretch marks because of using this product.

Who knows, maybe if I use this religiously for a few months maybe my stretch marks will decrease in size. I am hopeful!!.

I have been using this Weleda stretch mark massage oil daily over the last couple of weeks. I love the feel of this oil. It is very absorbent compared to other body oils I have used, and it leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized.

I have also noticed a slight difference in the appearance of my stretch marks. However, I don’t particularly like the scent of it. It smells kind of gingerish at first, but it’s a light scent that doesn’t linger.

Overall, I would recommend this product to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and moisturize skin.

It’s an oil, so those who say it’s “not oily” must be the same people who say their fish doesn’t taste “fishy”. However, it does absorb quickly (but still feels a touch “slick” on some areas of my face).

It has made a very noticeable difference on my face (in a positive way or I wouldn’t have rated it so high). I’m 50 with olive skin. I know I *should* wear sunscreen, but I don’t. This oil has made my skin glow (and not “oily” glow but rather radiate).

I just told my daughters the other day that I feel like this tiny oil bottle is similar to the biblical “fishes and loaves” story… it just goes on forever.

So I plan to only buy the tiny little bottles since it lasts so long (in my brain, it’ll keep the oil fresher, too). I’ve used it daily for over a year (yes, the tiny bottle), and it does work in all seasons and temperatures.

Look, if you are still reading this review, just skip one of your expensive mocha-frapp-a-coff-a-lattes and buy a small bottle. Use it every night, and I’m telling you that you will also be writing a five-star review for this product too.

I absolutely LOVE this oil. It’s not heavy but it’s very moisturizing nonetheless. I also don’t have a problem with the scent. It’s fresh, not medicinal or perfume like. I started using it for a scar on my foot after surgery 3 years ago and it was looking bad.

This oil has faded the visibility of the scar so much so that it’s barely noticeable. I then decided to try it out on my legs for scars I’ve had for years. It not only diminished the sight of them but, I noticed that any dark marks on my legs are gone.

It’s faded stretch marks on my thighs from losing weight and it’s removed acne scars from me popping pimples on my face that left dark marks. This product is AMAZING. I’m not understanding people expecting anything to completely get rid of stretch marks or surgical scars completely that they’ve had for years.

The product doesn’t claim to ever do that. It will however make them less noticeable. If you continue to use it over time, you’ll continue to see results that are truly noticeable. Don’t expect anything to work overnight but continued use does provide great results.

I had a major surgery where I got my top left rib taken out and pulled off my lung. The nurses took me off for surgery prep and decided to tell me that this particular surgery is the most painful one to go through.

However, a shining light in the dark was BioOil. It has every kind of natural oil ever, I swear. I’m not sure where my mom got it or heard about it, maybe from the surgeon because he’s the shoulder and arm specialty surgeon for the Texas Rangers baseball team and knows his stuff.

But once my wound was mostly sealed up I started putting the oil on it every day. You barely need any. Just unscrew the cap, put your finger over the opening and pull the bottle back up so you don’t get too much or make a mess.

Add that bit and then add more if youd like and just massage it to help stretch the skin. Even the small. 5 Oz one will last you forever. Anyways, I was bed bound for 2 months and I kept the oil next to me.

Idk about y’all but I’m constantly putting chapstick on. It’s a habit. So I started that with the Bio Oil. It soaks in really well or you can just rub it enough to sit on the scar. Since I didn’t move a lot or wear any nice clothing.

I would use the oil and rub it in and then put aquaphor over it to keep it extra moisturized. Not a necessary step though. If you rub in just the oil though it won’t get on your clothing and won’t be noticeable once it soaks in enough.

I really wish there was some way it would let me show you my before and after pictures. It’s unreal. No one knows it’s there except me. I even put a tattoo right next to it to commemorate it, but no one sees is.

I also have friends that use the oil religiously on their belly and hips and thighs throughout pregnancy and stretch marks never even came up. The ingredients allow your skin to become more stretchy so if you do it before, your skin is used to the stretching already.

If you put it on scars and stretch marks afterwards, you have to be patient and allow the oil and massaging to do its work to allow that skin to soften up and come back together. I’m a beauty consultant and I sell this to anyone with scarring or stretch marks or acne scars.

It also helps current acne. It’s non-comedogenic and won’t clog your pores. It’s also a good reminder not to pick and cause more scars. I also like to use it on my lips before matte lipstick to keep my lips moisturized.

My favorite way to use it is to put a bit on any dry skin on my face, especially near my eyes. Massaging it on my under eyes helps with dark spots and brightening because of the vitamin c. My true beauty secret though, and the reason people ask me all the time if my lashes are fake, i massage Bio Oil on my lashes, eyebrows, and then if i feel extra dry or have worn lots of makeup lately, I’ll seal all that with aquaphor or Vaseline.

One more trick to Bio Oil, add a touch to your pulse points (wrists, behind ears, between chest. really anywhere you feel gets warm a lot) and rub it in just a little. Then spray your perfume or cologne to make it last hours more than usual.

I would bet my life on this product. Those who are saying it doesn’t work, you’re not being patient and consistent. And you’re not being creative haha! You really can’t put it on too many times. Just like working out.

I have been using this for a few months and I do believe I am seeing some improvement in some scars! My left arm has a deep scar that was stitched up about 10 years ago, there are also some scars from tree branches, and some newer ones from my overly excited dog.

My skin is thin, and now that I am older, it tends to tear more easily. One newer scar looked just like the older one that had been stitched up. Since using this product, the fresher, newer scars look a little diminished.

I will continue to use this product! It is very easy to apply. I just shake out a few drops onto my arm 2x a day and rub it in. There is no strong unpleasant smell. It has a slight scent, that goes away quickly.

Since it is an oil, it is also moisturizing. Nice! I tried it on a scar on my face, since the scar product I am using on my face isn’t showing any improvement. I broke out from it. I recommend this product.

I decided to use it on my stretch marks. Within a couple of weeks I started to notice they were lightening. They were pretty dark to begin with. I recently ran out and plan to buy more. It’s definitely worth the money.

I bought the small bottle to test it out. I will be purchasing a bigger bottle. I wish I took before and after pictures.

On my second bottle. I really could stop here because I’m satisfied but, let’s see how much more this magic stuff can do. Great at evening out skin tone. I wore these ankle boots just about everyday and they left marks on both legs.

Pretty big fan of this! I use it pretty casually. usually once a day before bed OR right after I shower. It absorbs into the skin really well, doesn’t leave any greasy residue. Really love the lavender scent, although it is a little on the strong side if you are super sensitive to scents.

The lavender scent 100% beats smelling like you just rubbed an old candy bar all over yourself, blech (I’m looking at YOU, cocoa butter!) and was one of the reasons I was drawn to this product in the first place.

I only started using it when I first noticed a baby bump and skin started to itch a little, sometime in my 2nd trimester (about to enter my 3rd trimester) and skin looks and feels fantastic so far, with no marks.

Ingredients list is really solid. Good, clean stuff. Someone remarked that Gotu Kola is “unsafe for pregnancy” — um, yeah, if you ingest it! It’s fine when used topically, just like a lot of other ingredients during pregnancy.

(You can look this up for yourself in case the claim that this brand is OB-GYN recommended isn’t enough proof for you. ) 🙂 A few cons: The dispenser sometimes makes for a messy application, since it is oil and has a pretty runny consistency coming out of the pump.

Not a really big deal though. And it IS pricey, but. really, for a product you’ll only use for a few months out of your life at most, I can justify it. Treat yourself, mama. :).

Ok SO here’s the scoop on this awesome Belli oil. I used this with my THIRD pregnancy. I gained 50 lbs 😵😵 Now during my pregnancy this oil worked AMAZINGLY. I didn’t get a single new stretch mark while pregnant and using this! However, after I had my son, I lost 20 lbs in a week which is where all my stretch marks came into play.

I started to use this oil on them immediately but it really didn’t do anything. It is a GREAT preventative but does not help them after they appear. #mommusthaves.

I used this during my first pregnancy 3 years ago. I was really worried about getting stretch marks on my tummy because my skin seems prone to it. I have them on my inner biceps which always seemed like an usual place to get them, so I assumed I was destined for stomach stretch marks from pregnancy.

I used this every day starting from my second trimester and I had NOT ONE STRETCH MARK. I just repurchased because I’m pregnant again and there’s no way I’m going without this stuff. Is it possible I’m just not genetically prone to getting stomach stretch marks? I suppose.

But I’d rather keep using this and not risk it. The lavender scent is nice but a bit strong. It reminds me of spa massage aromatherapy oils. It’s not a huge draw back but might be too strong for some people.

I love this stuff! It is so moisturizing, my skin loves it. I thought it would be hard to use under makeup because it’s so oily, but it works great. I use the oil first, then moisturizer, sunblock, primer, foundation.

It works great. My skin is looking a bit better (I have acne and acne scars). Ive been using it for about a month. I could be wrong but I feel like the extra moisture it helping my acne. Would recommend.

To truly see a difference you need about 10 bottles I seen a slight difference in my marks after two bottles & daily/semi daily use. But with the extreme price for one bottle doesn’t seem realistic to clear up your marks in a cost effective way unless you are focusing on one area.

Half/Full body use will finish the bottle in a week. To truly clear marks and not waste your money on this oil I would invest in a different product and focus on dry or shower brush exfoliating along with regular oils after (coconut, olive etc) Thats what helped me!.

bio-oil works wonders. i absolutely loved this product that i continue to use after what i would say 2-3 bottles i am just now recovering from postpartum & have the energy to write a review because i would highly recommend this to any mommy to be – or people in general.

It simply does wonders to the skin , it sure does help with the appearance of your skin, stretch marks , scars , it moisturizes your skin so beautifully. It has a blend of different vitamins & has a really nice scent too, nothing strong.

This cream smells so good and is a very nice texture. It sinks into the skin without leaving any oily residue. Post pregnancy, I used what was left of it on my entire body, not just my belly. Unfortunately, I still got stretch marks, but I’d use it again.

I love the Stretch Mark Oil for right after the shower and/or before bed! Smells just like the cream, clean and natural but a little thicker. I wouldn’t wear this in the day as it might be visible on your clothes.

I like this especially because it does not have a strong scent. I am more sensitive to smell and some more fragrant products make me nauseous. Use it ever night before bed and I’m only in the first trimester but so far I like this product!.

I use this on my King after a long day at work. He does a lot of heaving lifting so some nights when he needs extra attention. We rub this on and it just helps to soothe and loosen him up, right after a hot shower!.

I really wish I would have taken before pictures! This works. I am quite impressed as my expectations were hesitant. How could an oil rid stretch marks? This one somehow does the trick. It does “fade” the bright white stretch mark lines.

I only used it on my back love handle area so far but have more to cover on the thighs. This goes fast and I wish it came in a large sized pump. I am on my second bottle and I’d say the marks have faded about 50% in appearance and anticipate them only getting less visible in time.

I have just had my very first baby and right from the time I found out about my pregnancy, I knew I wanted to avoid stretch marks. So I followed all the tips about drinking lots of water, keeping the vulnerable areas moisturised and I also ordered H-Stretch Marks when I found it on the internet to use as a preventative.

I ordered my product on the Monday, but didn’t get it for 7 days. I called customer support and they sent us the tracking number. The product was misplaced it turns out somewhere in the delivery system which was frustrating as I wanted to start right away.

I was very good and kept up my treatment throughout my pregnancy. I got away with just 1 small stretch mark on each side of my stomach so I was pretty pleased with myself! I will just keep on treating my legacy of the 2 small stretch marks which could well fade away too.

I would recommend any pregnant mom-to-be to do what I did _ it takes a bit of time and effort but it is well worth it.

I love this oil! Stretch marks are hereditary, but regardless this oil helps keep my skin from itching as it stretches during my pregnancy! The scent is pleasant, and it feels so nice being applied to my skin.

The bottle does tend to leak a little after a while of use, but as long as it doesn’t fall over it’s not a big deal. Definitely love Weleda for their ingredients as well!.

I received a sample size of this in a beauty box and I love it so much that I have ordered the full size product. The small 30ml size lasted for 5 applications so I think for the price it is actually very good value.

It is light and readily absorbed, but super effective as it has got rid of my crepey and dehydrated skin with just a few applications. It is nourishing enough for tough areas like knees and elbows. It smells divine too and I swear it gives me a better night’s sleep, but that may just be me.

Even if it wasn’t moisturising I would probably still buy it for the fragrance and the fact it helps me sleep. Was worried it would be messy, but it is probably less messy than a cream which can sit on the top of the skin, instead of being readily absorbed like this product.

I am an oil lover – be it body, bath, facial, hair – and this is one of my absolute favourites. It comes in a non drip glass bottle with a plastic screw top and dispenser which appears to be designed to maximise the use of the oil.

It is very difficult to use more than is needed. The oil itself is a blend with extracts of avocado, jojoba, rosehip, marigold, sunflower, ginger, rosemary and a citrusy base. The aroma of the oil is absolutely stunning.

It smells good enough to eat – as will you! The oil itself is designed to aid detoxification and to increase skin elasticity. I understand that it is also useful as part of a cellulite detox/treatment.

I understand that the oil stimulates both the circulatory system and the metabolism. My main use is as a moisturiser after an evening shower/bath and it is both invigorating and relaxing. I start at my ankles and use upward strokes.

The oil provides a warming sensation and feels so luxurious. It also absorbs quickly and is very hydrating. The best part is the detox effect – it certainly works! I find that it helps combat bloating/water retention and my skin always feels tight and toned after use.

I received the Ingweröl detox oil as one of the three mini trios in the Christmas gift. this is by far my favourite. It’s the first time that I’ve used a Susanne Kaufman product and it’s been a pleasure to use.

I’ve been using the oil as a moisturiser after showering and as recommended, it does seem to absorb better on damp skin. I’m not particularly great at sticking to a body moisturising routine. I generally have quite oily skin and hate the slick feeling that some moisturisers can leave you with, but after using this detox oil, my skin doesn’t feel greasy at all.

The product just sinks into my skin. A little goes a long way and it does not take much to properly coat the entire body. The ginger scent is divine, almost invigorating and I think this is probably one of the reasons why I enjoy using the product so much.

I’m not sure how much I can attest to its detox properties but my skin certainly does feel soft and supple after use. I spend extra time focusing on my thighs and both the tone and texture of my skin seem to have improved.

That could purely be from the massaging action but something certainly seems to be working! Overall I would say that this feels like a gorgeous spa quality product and would be quite happy to size up once my little minis.

Easy to apply, penetrates quickly into the skin, very little odor, therefore pleasant for sensitive noses during pregnancy. After can not yet judge on its effectiveness, that at the beginning of its use.

I wish i could give this product 5 starts, but have after 7 week still not received it with little help from your CS. Needless to say it’s a product where times if of great importance when it comes to its efficacy.

I love the texture because it is so easy to spread over the skin without dripping or leaving spots. Another great product by my favourite French beauty brand!

This oil is incredible, it goes on so smoothly and doesn’t rub off or feel greasy. It’s super soft and luxurious and at 22 weeks, still no stretch marks just health, soft belly skin. 🙂
