20 Best Otc Meds For Arthritis (2022 Updated)

Is this supposed to taste like you’re sucking on a bottle of rubbing alcohol? Because that’s ALL I taste. it’s so bad, I wondered if I was wrong and it wasn’t supposed to be used internally. If it IS supposed to be internal, I believe you need to be altering your formula.

I thought it was gonna burn a hole straight through the skin under my tongue. It hurt. I had to force myself to even swallow, which resulted in me choking on it, coughing, and could barely breathe for a good 30secs.

If it is internal, can it be used topically instead?.

Ok took me a bit to figure you needed to use the cap as a wrench to remove the screw like plug on the tube. Once that was solved and once I got over the shock reading EVERY BIT OF THE INCLUDED WARNINGS plus the redundant warnings throughout the inner directions box.

And at first decided not for me and set in cupboard for a month plus. My arthritis in two fingers and thumb joint was so severe I couldnt write my name or fill out a check. SOOOO pulled the stuff out.

Reread the WARNINGS. And despite having ulcers that has no relation to H. pelori or other organisms and sinus nose bleeds I went ahead and applied. NO I did not follow the so called application guide ruler.

I mean it would mean attempting to apply lotion gel the size of my fingers to a finger. It would take 10 days to dry and abxorb. I instead used COMMON SENSE and applied that. A small bead from tube down one side of my effected fingers and a little extra over one joint and around the thumb joint and then with ohter hand rub into and smooth over the entire area being treated well.

Allow to air dry and apply an Imax cotton light weight compression glove for futher protection. I apply at night going to bed and again upon waking up. I am very very very careful to not pet my pets with the hand being treated as it can be dangerous to them.

Something they dont seem to mention just how dangerous. And around 11 a. m. I get rid of the glove and wash hands and continue with my days chores of washing dishes and laundry and showers etc. Because no way can this gal not get her hands wet and live life to any normalcy without getting hands wet and that includes making dinner but making sure everyone in home is safe and not in danger due to my having applied a super strong nsiad to my skin.

It states to use 4 times a day. Maybe you could manage for knees and ankles and elblows or shoulder specific JOINT pain but much more difficult for hands and wrist pain. Sort of puts a pain in the butt to use a pain reducer medication.

I bought this product for relief of arthritis pain in my knees. I read the directions and followed them to the letter. It took about a week before I began to feel relief. I had finally found something that worked, heck I thought I was cured.

After about the 15th day of use the right side of my body, from my knees up to my neck, developed these horrible, painful blister like sores. I went to my doctor immediately to find out what they were.

Turned out to be one of the side effects of the Voltaren. Of course he told me to stop using it, but the damage was already done. For the next week I developed more sores. They would start off like pea sized blisters then grow to the size of a quarter before they would eventually pop.

And let me tell you after they pop, the pain is excruciating. They become open raw wounds that are so very sensitive even your clothes touching them hurts. But it gets worse. Since they’re open wounds you can’t apply any sort of medicine to take away the pain or prevent infection.

It took these sores forever to begin to heal. They would ooze this clear, sticky like fluid before finally they would scab over. I suffered for over a month with these damn things. What I thought was my wonderful cure turned out to be a terrible curse.

I exchanged knee pain for discussing painful sores. My advice to you is be very careful using this product. I understand that this may never happen to you and I hope it doesn’t. Voltaren in their literature never mentioned this reaction could happen.

The sores left scars which are a painful reminder that you can do everything right and still it be very wrong. Would I recommend it for relief of arthritis pain? Definitely, but the price may be a high one if what happed to me happens to you.

I was originally prescribed this active ingredient in pill form years ago before it was taken off the market for causing heart issues. To date it is the only medication that helped my arthritis aside from steroids.

I was delighted when my doctor prescribed it to me in gel form before being available OTC. Now that it’s OTC it’s cheaper than with my insurance being a prescription. I use it on my back, neck, hips, and now knees.

My doctor originally prescribed it for my back so I’m ok using the OTC version for that since it’s basically the same and I have my doctors approval. I’ve now found that I need it for my knees and it does help.

I put it on the back and front of my knees. It really helps my lumbar, SI joints, thoracic, and cervical areas as well. It’s costly but nothing else helps since I can’t stay on steroids 24/7. My one issue is that if you are around children or animals I would be concerned not to allow them to touch those areas including hands used to apply it.

I think the company needs to put a warning about that.

My mother has crippling arthritis and she says this helps. I gave her a few larger bottles. She’s has shown a difference in her pain level. For me I don’t always have the time to down and I work through the pains.

These are definitely a relief at the end of the day. Very fast acting pain relief.

These help my back a lot- I have a bone condition that affects my upper back and shoulders quite a bit, and this is the one of the only things that helps to ease the pain without taking intense prescription painkillers.

Just be careful you don’t take too much and follow the recommendations as they are stronger than typical Tylenol. However, I highly recommend this product.

I like the extended release of this product. Regular pain relievers work fast but fades quickly. This product lasts for almost the whole 8 hours they claim. Definitely worth it.

Honestly,this review will probably sound crazy. But my mother actually started me with these. The Arnica,I use when I have a broken bone,a twist or a sprain and it does help it heal a little faster,or so I believe.

As for hypericum perf,I use that about once a week to help when I have anxiety or panic attacks,and it really does help a bit! Both of these are really natural,and I can say 100% that they really work for me along with my medication I take,and I’ve seen no negative side effects.

Obviously this may not be the case for everyone… But in my experience this works instantaneously. So helpful, pain drops immediately… Life goes back to normal! Really great product, as with all of their line.

I really like Hyland products. These arthritis pills help for the pain in my hands. I take them according to the amount of pain each day, sometimes only 1 but never more than 3 pills per day. I like the fact that they are homeopathic.

I understand they may not work for everyone but they work for me.

I hate to share my stupidity online, but it was a happy accident. I bought T relief because the vet told me too for my dog I was supposed to buy the dog version I didn’t realize when I purchased it on Amazon that they were both human and pet versions.

Hylands day FLEXmore pain relief did not help me elbow pain. I was really hoping it would be something natural I could take , to relieve my joint pain so I could carry on with my daily activities, bc the pain gets to be unbearable during the day and some at night.

I would like to suggest if maybe you might be able to add like a maximum strength line of the arthritis pain reliever? Then I would be open to trying it. I cant take prescription pain meds as i am highly allergic and i can only take Tylenol or Ibuprofen and those dont seem to be helping me at all.

This may be helpful for someone else, it just wasnt for me.

Influenster snail-mailed me a full size tube of to try in exchange for my honest opinion. I kept a diary because the “How to Use” section read it can take up to a week to feel arthritis pain relief. Saturday 31 July Day One: I used as directed on my left wrist and back of my hand (not my fingers though) – felt no relief.

The packaging is minimal and well designed. Although, not sure why the dosage card needed to be glued inside the box. Thankful for that mention in the instructions on the outside box. I always read product labels prior to purchasing/opening everything.

This Gel has a mild pleasant scent that does not linger. Aleve Arthritis absorbs quickly and without leaving any residue. I do not think this 1% Diclofenac Solution is the correct/strong enough formula to handle my stage of Arthritis.

I hoped that Aleve Arthritis would help relieve my back and hip pain. Unfortunately, this gel is not designed for larger Arthritic areas of the body. I would recommend for relief of mild arthritic symptoms.
