20 Best Otome Games On Switch (2022 Updated)

The graphics and music are great! However, unlike games such as Skyrim and Breath if the Wild, you have to load each new area. This is often broken up by cut scenes. At the beginning of the games however, the cut scenes tend to drag on a little.

I applaud the fact that this game isnt afraid to cast the lead character as a female with a fulsome chest, something that for some reason seems to be completely off limits nowadays! I would like it if she was a little more gusty however.

I get the feeling that if Nintendo made this game, it would be better than Breath of The Wild.

Aside from just how popular Ryza is among the Atelier franchise, the goodies that come bundled with this limited edition are well designed and worth every penny. The art book contents are absolutely stunning and I love the cloth poster folder and cute key chain as well.

The game itself is fun and entertaining, amazing gameplay and graphics, user-friendly combat mechanics, beautiful character models, and lots of cool items you can craft. If youre a fan of the Atelier series then this is definitely a worthwhile investment for sure!.

I’m really hooked to this game, I love JRPG’s and I played a huge amount. This title has the graphics necessary, i’m not a person that cares about graphics, most importantly the relationship between the loveable cast is so satisfying.

Can’t wait to get my hands on the second game and more Atelier + Gust games. Huge recommend for people who loves JRPG’s.

It’s a great return to classic Final Fantasy RPG games with the turn based fighting style. It’s a large world to explore and there’s random enemy encounters. There are eight different characters in the game, each with their own story.

You are granted the ability to choose a single character to start with, who you choose at the start becomes your party leader, but you still encounter the others during the course of the game and see their stories.

The problem with the game is that it does become redundant over time since the gameplay doesn’t change at all, and the difficulty spikes quickly. In other words, you’re going to be doing a lot of grinding between sections of the stories, so you’re going to have to be patient with it.

Overall, it’s an intriguing story, and if you like turn-based RPGs this is a nice return to form.

Octopath Traveler is one of, if not the best RPG’s on the Switch. The graphics while not realistic have a beautiful color palette and are more about subtlety than flash. That’s not to say it doesn’t show itself off because it certainly does.

It just doesn’t do it unnecessarily, only when it’s appropriate. It’s a lenthy RPG so you’ll be getting yo your money’s worth and then some. You could definitely replay it and switch up the order in which you find your various travelers.

It plays like a late to mid 90’s RPG like Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy. Though it has a break mechanic all it’s own. Basically hitting enemies with a weapon or magic that it’s weak against will make the enemy dazed and nets you an extra turn.

Learn this mechanic and do it well and enemies won’t get turns. That’s not to sah it’s easy to do because later enemies take more hits to get past their defense. It’s eash to play but difficult to master.

The music is on par with some of the best in gaming, it’s that good. If you like SNES era games you’ll love this one.

Im a lifelong video game player (in my late 30s) and I do not typically play turn-based RPGs. However, the graphics, music, story, combat system and multiple characters all combine to make Octopath Traveler a compelling piece worthy of your gaming hours.

The combat system is easy to catch onto, the enemies come in several varieties, and you have the option to fight in a party or alone. The 8 characters involved also have their own stories and purposes for existing, with none feeling like a repeat of another.

Finally, the graphics and music coalesce to produce an atmosphere found in few other games of any genre. Taken together, the team at Square Enix has produced a game that is a must-play for RPG fans and can only be classified as a Winner of a game.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game, but there are some nuances you should be aware of. 1st, you don’t have to get all 8 people but its highly recommended and honestly necessary to get the true ending. 2nd, it is highly advisable to do chapters in a certain way.

Do all characters chapter 1, then all of their chapter 2s, etc. It is not advisable at all to try to run through a single characters full story without working on the others. 3rd, character interaction is honestly related to side skits.

Which is probably tied to how the story is presented. Despite this, the stories are still well done. 4th, finding the path to the true ending can be a bit vague and difficult without help. Be warned if you want to play legit it won’t be easy to find it.

Despite these warnings, the game is fun. The OST is fantastic, and the graphics have a charm to them that I would describe as idk. HD Snes in a way? If you enjoy RPGS, chances are you’ll like this game.

I haven’t played this game for as long as I’d like to have, maybe 20 hours so far, but it has been a pleasure. I love the turn base battles. While I can get behind an action JRPG, that old school turn base system is for me.

It feels pretty modern still too. I will say that the game doesn’t seem to change things up too much in terms of the battle system, unlike games like Persona Five. If you want something interesting, nostalgic and not super complex, try this out.

I adore the graphics. That 2. 5D game play is lovely. If you like sprite work, you’ll probably like the visual aesthetic of this. The character models and the backgrounds are all incredibly charming.

It reminded me of Final Fantasy 6 SNES (Final Fantasy 3 in the US), but with some slight 3D aspects and crisper graphics. If you don’t like games with that aesthetic of the 90s –those Super Nintendo RPGS– and if you don’t like turn-based combat, a bit of grinding, then you might prefer a game like Ys or something much more modern.

I imagine most people who look at this know what they are getting though. The Switch cart has the full game. I like having physical games so I’m glad to have this in my collection.

It seems Square Enix is comfortable experimenting and/or revising JRPG techniques and tropes into a new game. This time “Octopath Traveler” combines Retro with the New. You have to option to play as 1, 2-7, or all 8 protagonists in this game.

You make your way through the world leveling up and continuing with the story. However, JRPG fans know the importance of grinding; and, you need to grind A LOT! If you’re not prepared to so that, then this game is NOT for you.

If you have a Switch and are a fan of Square Enix’s games, then don’t wait to purchase and to play this amazing game!.

This one is a mixed bag. There are some leaps forward, steps sideways, and hops directly backward. THE BAD: – The new scripting system that allows you to automate battles cheapens the game and makes you feel less invested in each battle.

Once I had a couple of decent algorithms, the game played itself and wasn’t a challenge. – Too few classes. – Monster units are limited. No more magichange. – Some menus and movements are slower in this game than in previous games.

– Graphical performance on the Switch isn’t great. It’s not a make-or-break deal in an SRPG, but the unsteady framerate is noticeable on any of the configurable settings they provide. THE GOOD: – The new scripting system.

Yes. It’s a good and bad thing. I don’t know that I would want to play a Disgaea game without it anymore, but it still doesn’t work for the reasons stated above. Navigating Disgaea battles were muscle memory to me.

I was quick, but it’s hard to argue with how much the scripting system speeds things up. If only there was a good balance between player involvement in battles and the utility of the scripting engine.

– The story is good for a Disgaea game. I think it’s probably my second favorite after the fifth game. – The 3d models are solid. – There’s a lot of content to grind through if you want to see it all.

If you are going into this expecting classic Disgaea this game may not be for you. If you love Ogre Battle (gameplay style) you may love it. When I first got this, I was disappointed as it wasn’t a typical Disgaea game.

When I started approaching it as an tactical team builder where your characters control themselves based off your tactics and how you built them it became a blast. In short, if you loved Dragon Age and FF12 for the deep character AI settings you could do and Ogre Battle you will probably love this as well.

Story is not great, it’s not that funny, music is alright. It should have probably had a different name as it felt more like a spin off to me.

I’ve bought and played every Disgaea. The last one Disgaea 5, had so much stuff. The number of classes, monsters, magichange, etc. It was actually intimidating. Disgaea 6 simply doesn’t have the some number of systems.

Whether this is good or bad is going to be a matter of personal opinion. The gfx are no 3D instead of sprites. You get more but less at the same time. Lets same team attacks, in Disgaea 6 you can have 10 allies join attack at once.

but you get no fancy cutsceen of your group bouncing around an enemy. All you get when it triggers is just the faces of everyone participating pops up for a second. Overall fights are faster and may have bigger numbers, but maybe Disgaea 6 has less charm then its prior installments.

I have played all of the modern Atelier games before this so was always going to buy it. The graphics are the best we have seen in an Atelier game, and I think the alchemy system is one of the best if not these best – sometimes I spend way too long creating items with the puzzles to get them just right.

The combat is turn based and I like how each character is unique and poses their owns strengths and weaknesses, can only use certain item types, etc. So the combat portion is strategic and enjoyable but not the best I’ve seen.

This is also a good starting point, playing the first Sophie game beforehand is really not required, as the story and really all other characters are stand-alone. The story and characters are probably below average but it was the gameplay that kept me coming back.

Atelier Sophie 2 is a solid entry in the Atelier series. If you haven’t played an Atelier game before, this is a JRPG with a strong emphasis on crafting over combat. In fact, the combat takes a backseat to the crafting (or alchemy as it is called).

The story is fun, but it’s not a traditional “bad guy destroying the world” intensity story— this is more low key. The characters are very anime-style in a the sense they are all common tropes, but their design and art are really nice, and if you like the art style, you’ll enjoy the aesthetics and graphics of the game.

The music is great and the gameplay loop is fun if you like crafting, so I give the game overall an 8/10. That being said, I would still start with Ryza.

Atelier Sophie has been an amazing so far. It builds off a lot Atelier Ryza 2, even a little bonus DLC from that game in the playstation store. Sophie provides a more rpg turn-base approach as opposed to Ryze 2, but it still provides unique action scenes in battle and the story seems interesting enough.

Definitely a good game to pick if you are a fan of the Atelier series and a bit easier game to pick up than some of the Atelier games for new comers.

This was excellent on last gen consoles and when I heard it was being released on current gen I could not resist visiting Gransys again. Better graphics, faster loading times and all the features from the original 2 games (Dragons Dogma and Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen) in one.

The Eternal Ferrystone is included meaning fast travel is easy unless you are like me and happy to wander around taking in the scenery killing enemies including epic monsters like Cyclops, Wyverns and Griffins along the way.

Choosing gender, height, size and features was and still is crucial to creating your ideal character and is an enjoyable start to the game. The classes remain the same with 3 initial types eventually leading to a further 6 totalling 9 that the main protagonist can choose from at will once a small portion of the game has been progressed.

Climbing onto gigantic monsters backs and chopping off a Hydras head has never been better. Tons of weapons and armour, customisation options and material combinations means there is always something new out there.

Top game and well worth the 20 quid price tag even more so if you never experienced the originals first time around.

Very few bad points about this game. From controls to graphics everything is solid. Character growth is simple yet deep and the game has much to offer alongside the main story. The Dark Arisen part can be merciless as your pawns become less helpful as you level up, so be defensive in that area.

A great conversion from consoles – just as addicting as it was on the consoles and playable with a mouse and keyboard, but recommend using a controller (just like the consoles). If you’ve never played this game it’s set in a fantasy world full of monsters both big and small, with the big monsters really being big! So big in fact that your character can climb upon them to hit them where it hurts the most.

Definitely one of the main draws for this game (of course if you so choose, you can fight these monsters from afar. ). It’s also one of the few games that changes when the main quest is complete; meaning the game doesn’t end when the main quest is completed but continues on with new quests, more monsters to fight and a changed world.

On top of that, the PC version has the expansion included, which allows you to take a break from the main storyline and tackle a completely independent area with better equipment which you can then use to make the main storyline that much easier.

This game will consume hours of your time once you get going!.

Okay, I love all Rune Factory games. This one is no different. These games are a slice of life type of game where you can grow crops on your farm, fight monsters in dungeons, talk to people in town and do quests for them, befriend the townspeople, and even fall in love and marry select people in town.

They are always colorful and fun games, full of great characters, relaxing times, and you can make the game whatever you want. This game is the newest Rune Factory. Only released for the Nintendo Switch.

Everything is included in the game for the base cost. You can purchase some character costumes from the Nintendo store for an extra fee, but these are optional. The graphics are usually 2d sprites, but this is the first time in the series the developers chose to move to 3d renderings.

This made the game look a little different, run a little slower with some lag, and made the camera flip around more than usual. Even with these quirks, I still recommend the game. The basic game involves your character (you can choose between male or female) joining the town of Rigbarth as a ranger and helping protect the townspeople from monsters for free room and board, as you’ve lost your memory.

You will do tasks you choose from a task board, attend festivals, grow vegetables and fruit trees in your garden and sell them for money. You can also learn recipes to cook with your produce, go fishing, use a hammer to mine rocks, use an axe to cut trees for wood, learn to forge weapons and armor, learn crafting, make potions, and decorate your home.

You can also expand your house and even the town. The overall plot is interesting and has many mysterious events and subplots with the villagers. You can make new clothing, change your clothes, and even the clothing for marriage candidates, take baths, fight all sorts of monsters and have boss fights, build a monster barn, tame cute and ferocious monsters, have monster pets (even boss monsters!!), collect produce from monsters (milk, eggs, wool, and so on), ride your monsters into battle (wolves, and so on), train your monsters to water your plants and help you fight, convince townspeople to help you fight, and then get married.

Marriage is its own huge subject in this game. You can skip it or have fun trying to attract a 3d sprite. There’s same-sex marriage for the first time in this Rune Factory, so you can be with any marriage candidate you want.

You build up the friendship level with your chosen villager, offer presents to them, and go on dates. Once the villager is at a high enough heart level, you can ask them to marry you with the right items.

And, everyone in town has strong likes and dislikes!.

I love the runefactory series and this one does not cut it. The game play requires you to use both joysticks to get around and that gets really confusing when you then need to talk to someone or perform a task but have to be in the perfect position to be able to move your right hand back to the A button.

It’s very frustrating. Also, the save function doesn’t work the same, so if you’re in the middle of gameplay and attempting to save in a data slot with previously auto saved data, the game will not save your current spot and will spit you back out to where you last saved.

It wasted a full hour of play and didn’t save any of my progress. The jokes that the townspeople make don’t make sense. The cut scenes are extremely slow. I’m really not a fan, extremely disappointing after paying for preorder.

The gameplay is like any other rune factory game. Farm sim with added monster slaying fun and marriage candidates. The graphics are updated in this version, I really don’t like having to constantly turn the camera around because my sense of direction is horrible but I’m getting more used to it.

I just wish they added more to the game beside the modernized graphics. Being able to create your own character would make it a lot better. There’s also not a whole lot to choose from for marriage candidates.

The only male with an adult male body is the wolf man lol. More variety and customization could open up this game to wider audiences.

I’m not going to labell that anime with words like simplistic, overrated or cringy like others because that’s personnal view but I’m going to be harsh on the story itself, you have been warned! This is the ultimate story about a boy who never lifted a finger but got the ultimate cheat, in other words it’s the dream comes true for any loser not by design but by choice.

Because Deku is the guy supposedly nerdy (in fact we later learn that whatever he wrote in his notebook means nothing to him, he prefers to just punch harder), supposedly heroic (he saved Kacchan but to him it’s his only friend soooo not to diminish his act but hardly a genuinely uninterested act), supposedly friendly (that’s for the japanese readers, in japanese Deku tends to adress the others more than a little condescendly like they were children particularly Bakugo) and a hard worker (in fact he never did a thing to save people or to train in anyway unless promised the biggest cheat of all).

Deku, you see didn’t want to be a hero (his own word) but to be All Might, the number one hero (he has ambition at least). Deku truly is a problematic main character (MC) and because he is hardly interesting every situation turns to be about him and other characters rapidly became shadows meant to ( badly ) propell him: Uraraka (main girl) is hardly seen but to be the damsel madly in love with MC, where is the MC friend Iida Tenya ? since he became damsel in distress and was saved by MC nobody has seen him, Bakugo was the bully (but Deku still called him his friend and admired him, that’s deeply logic) but loose metaphorically to the MC because the MC is the embodiement of a hero (still waiting on this one even after more than 200 chapters), Todoroki? was deeply hurt by his father but 5 minutes of peptalk by MC and things start to change for the better for him (what a trauma isn’t it?), the others? barely there but to be the embodiement of perversion, the jokster, the tomboy.

In the end, I think people loves that show because of what they would love to have: a better life handed to them on a plate.

Purchased the game on PC not too long ago and had a blast while playing. I am traveling soon, so decided that I wanted to get the game on Switch as well. Purchase was well worth the money, at $25. Both versions are extremely fun, graphics are running at a lower resolution on Switch but the game-play is fluid an completely playable.

While not well versed in the game’s genre, I am a fan of the anime, and this scratches the itch to fight with some of the most recognizable characters. Have not gotten too far in the story mode thus far, but it sticks close to the anime, while adding in some side battles creating a well rounded experience.

After a good bit of time the AI seems a little easy, but they can sometimes provide a good challenge from time to time. Overall, really fun game for either single or multiplayer, but don’t expect any online multiplayer – only local.

As for my tries, albeit limited, I have not found a single match. PC – 31 hours Switch – 10 hours At time of review.

Bought it for my little brother whos obseesed with thr show my hero acadameia. He got it on his birthday and has played it almost everyday since. He says its super fun and action packed. I would recommend this to any one who really enjoys the show my hero academia or likes action.

I would not recommend any purchase from Nintendo. this is the third time I buy something, and every time there have been issues. promised 30 minutes delivery on their website, it took almost a week. despite being a tech company they have clunky systems that prevent them to solve customer issues.

definitely not worth considering, Nintendo Switch is definitely my worst purchase of the last 20 years.

This game has been a lot of fun great when you’re in a group and want to play some short games. There’s a lot of choice and some are a little strange but most are great fun. I love the fact they’re quick and to the point.

Clearly a game designed to show off some off the consoles capabilities. Only giving 4 stars as it is a little pricey for what it is.

1-2 Switch will have you competing and laughing with friends in ways you never thought possible. The controls and various game mechanics are extremely accessible. At times it even feels like a board game as strange as that may sound, as you will not have to focus on a flashing screen to enjoy the experience.

On the odd occasions it may feel like a tech demonstration for the hardware. Predominantly highlighting the capabilities of the control system. However I have never had so much fun attempting to guess how many marbles is situated in a box (yes you can really distinguish each marble rolling around in the controller).

The only draw back is the total lack of single player content, which ultimately means you need a group of friends over to enjoy this game.

This is a really good game. Good narrative, getting schooled by doing things you THINK are right, then the game teaches you otherwise. It has a really good story, and nice music, but the battle system, although fun, can get on your nerves when you feel you messed up a button press.

Gotta LOVE getting it all right, however, and this art is just some of the BEST kind of art for games. I can safely recommend it to anyone that loves Action/turn-based RPGs.

The fights are really cool, constantly making you evaluate the moves of four characters at once. They can be hard but not unfair. The concept of the story is really cool, but I’m not a huge fan of the platforming.

It’s a little slow, but the story and gameplay make up for it!.

I am about 5 hours in and this my impression in that time stamp. The animation and art is great. The combat is fun and it keeps you engage as you affect how you attack and defend. There is high/low mixups and there are command grabs to tech out of.

The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that there is no training room to explore combos and all the mess in the development of this game.

I love the dark feel of the game. The tutorial is fairly easy though it is possible you can fail if unlucky. From the first level you will have to start managing your characters ailments and mental health and sometimes its just better to pick a new character until you can upgrade your facilities to remove ailments and such.

There are lots of classes and items and skills to upgrade but it takes time and patience and great strategy of how you manage your characters. My only complaint is I wish there were more enemies. If you want to play a game where you kill everything easily this is not the game for you.

Your characters will get diseased , go crazy , have many different mental and physical illnesses. Take them to the brothel , gamble or go to the pub to take off stress , literally. The systems are fairly deep and if you like a a real challenge and deep systems Id give this a try.

Just dont get attatched to that one powerful character(s)you have there are many who you can replace them.

Just to note the main difference between buying this and the one in the Nintendo eshop: the key they send you *does not* include The Color of Madness DLC. So you are effectively buying the old Ancestral bundle from before October 11th, 2018.

Undertale is a popular RPG game I bought because I was curious what it was like. I had watched a lot of gameplay video and wanted to choose my own path. Such a clever “choose your own” gameplay design.

I was not disappointed by this version at all. Kudos to the developers and making this game available for on the go switch players. Highly recommended! Undertale plot: A human child with a unknown gender calls into the underground realm full of monsters.

The human child will go on a adventure to find a way back to the surface realm. The child will meet many friendly monsters from Toriel, the motherly goat like creature, to Sans and Papyrus, the funny skeleton brothers, to even fish warriors, scientist dinosaurs, robots, all the way to Asgore, the king of monsters.

There will be different endings depending on who you kill and spare. 3 frightening endings that depend on violence or mercy. Will you save all monsters or destroy them all? You decide. **WARNING** consequences and judgement at the end of the game.

This is an RPG that’s really a choose your own adventure/interactive story, and that’s ok. The story is great. The RPG tropes, self awareness, and humor are great. If you are a fan of SNES era RPGs you need this! It is pretty normal RPG at first glance, linear at second look, and incredibly deep if you look closer.

There are three endings and the game knows which order you do them in to some extent. Toby Fox makes very creative use of metadata (used to remember your actions for RPG story progression). Some say to go thru without killing anything first.

But I am glad I went through completely blind the first time, playing like a normal RPG. I prefer not using guides with most my games. It was a more pure experience. Watch the videos after you’ve played thru the normal and the pacifist routes on your own.

If you do decide to go thru without killing, you CAN’T KILL ANYTHING. Yes it can be done. Yes it is a bit tedious. But It’s only an 8 hour game, If you accidentally gain EXP, quit and reload your save.

Get on the fandom wiki or look up the ign pacifist guide. Looking up enemy battle strategies is great as a last resort. Generally these sites are spoiler free, as long as you don’t read too far ahead or only read the battle strategy.

Some spoiler free tips about keeping items. -Search online for “ What Items Are Important to Keep for Later on?” Spoiler free on redd-it. -Sell infinite amounts of dog residue in the secret Temmie Town.

I really enjoyed this game. The dialogue is humorous and the characters are lovable. The different ways you can play it are really interesting; it’s definitely worth a replay or two. It’s creative and the different places are fun to explore.

The “secret” hard mode was a little too hard for my taste, but I also had played the game through multiple times at that point so it was easier for me to just give up lol. I definitely recommend this game, though.

I can’t wait for all of Deltarune to come out as well.

Piofiore is a well-written and suspenseful visual novel. The story follows a young woman whose seemingly normal life becomes tangled with the ruling mafia families of her town. You play the game along with 5 handsome suitors who will romance you as each route reveal deeper levels of the story.

The illustrations *chef kiss* are beautiful! I love this game! Religion is deeply involved with Piofiore. Without spoiling too much, there is a holy relic the MC is trying to uncover. If you are a Roman Catholic (or part of any sect of Christianity) you see moments when faith and the church are being questioned or challenged by SOME characters (not all, the MC is very devot).

One part of the story I didn’t agree with and it could be sensitive to devout Catholics/Christians. As a Catholic myself, I understand this particular part of the story it is pure fantasy and I do not take it literally.

So please build a backbone and enjoy the game. :).

I love the beautiful art and music of this visual novel game, much so with its dialogues that are being voiced by some well-known Japanese voice actors. I’m fond of action and mature games so I really enjoyed playing this one.

Aside from the romance, this game is very different from other ‘otome’ games as it delivers some shocking twists and turn of events. Storywise, the plot’s been interesting as the MC delves into the side of mafia life following through the different routes you’re aiming for.

There’s also heavy emphasis on religion as well. (I did enjoy reading the fun tidbits of Italy, especially food). As its rating goes, it does contain dark, slight gore and some unexpected red flags so a word of caution before you purchase this game.

Otherwise, if you’re the type who is willing to try a different kind of visual novel game then this would be definitely worth getting.

As of this review, I’ve completed three routes. So far, it’s been an enjoyable experience. The routes are completely different from each other, so you’ll have an original experience with each character.

In addition, as you complete routes, parts of the (very short) common route change and open up to you, which makes going through the common route less boring. Each route has a best, good, and two bad endings, which are interesting and different (sometimes shockingly so).

Also, there are side stories and extra content that take place after the good and bad endings that can be reached from the main menu that are satisfying. Despite how exciting and enjoyable Piofiore is, it is a game featuring criminals who do bad things, so if you are uncomfortable with violence, implied sexual assault, torture, drug use, etc.

, I would caution you against this game.

I’ve nearly completed a route for this game but so far it doesn’t disappoint. The art is incredible. Action scenes and character battle poses flow seamlessly. The game is fully voice acted. For those who are curious about what kind of game this is, it’s an “otome” which is a heavily story-based game targeted towards women.

All games of this type center around a female protagonist that gets to choose a male suitor to develop a romance with. If you like and play dating simulator phone games then this is the game for you.

The protagonist’s encounter with these mafia families is really interesting. It is not a game about romance only. It also talks about the deep connections and bonds within each mafia family. I really enjoy reading the story.

Some of the endings are really sweet, and the others are quite shocking. The artwork is also amazing, and I always return to the game just to appreciate those arts in the CG gallery. Lastly, the content of this game is a little bit more mature and darker than the average otome games.

So if you are familiar with the past installments of sao game series they werent too great but this will be a combination of hollow fragment, lost song, and ff realm reborn. It also has MMO feel where each character has a specific class like a tank or buffer.

It plays more fluidly like a hack and slash but with actually cooldowns and parrying involved. When you do progress through the game you can unlock multiplayer, where you work with friends to take on harder enemies and raid bosses.

The game is absolutely gorgeous, great graphics and the gameplay is really smooth. The story is really moving and the characters are voiced really good. The combat system takes a little bit to get used to but for people who played some of the Tales games the “Arts” system is pretty similar in battle.

Can’t recommend this game enough, seriously a great game.

my god I did not know that this anime had a game on PS4, I love this anime, a few months ago I was watching it, if I had the opportunity I would play it, it must be very entertaining and I recommend the anime too.

This is the first “sequel” to Code:Realize Guardians of Rebirth. It is an excellent addition to the series and has some fun new routes to play with Herlock Sholmes, Finis and some additional after stories with all of the love interests in the first game.

I love it! If this is the first time you have seen it, play Guardians of Rebirth first. Such a fun Otome for anyone!.

Great otome game, my wife bought it for the switch and loves playing it. I have to fight her, so I can play the switch. In addition you have to play all 4 characters, before unlocking the 5th. Story and music play is well.

Keeps her busy so I can do my thing :).

My daughter loves it. She thinks it a great game. She needs something to do since we are remote learning. She loves her games.

This game originally was released as a free PC or Steam title. You can still get the free version. However, this review would argue purchase the Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! version. The original free version of the game required basic manipulation of files and multiple deletions and downloads in order to play through to the “Good Ending” or “True Ending.

” This Plus! version makes playing through the story more technically straightforward while keeping all of the surprises and endearing eeriness. The added content is definitely worth purchasing the game, as well.

Playing the game on Nintendo Switch was especially nice: This game is a visual novel. This means that it is akin to reading an interactive book where the only “gaming” involves selecting various “Choose Your Own Adventure” choices that redirect the story.

So, the portability of Switch or Switch Lite is great for this game. Note, this game is NOT intended for children. Adult topics and themes permeate this game. Finally, all of the extras described in the product description are included in the Switch case itself.

So, do not worry that there is no outer box. The extras are nice and of good quality. Doki Doki Literature Club is one game and story you will not be able to put down and will want to revisit often.

Well now that was something. It’s hard to review this game without giving anything away, but it is a visual novel style game that has more going on in the story than it seems at first. The warnings at the beginning of the game should tell you as much.

So make sure you know what you’re getting into. As for this release. I didn’t think they’d be able to pull this off on a console, but they did a smashing job. The extras included in this version are a very nice touch.

If you’re thinking of buying this you probably already have heard of it and know what’s going to happen. Pick it up. It’s worth owning a physical copy.

You probably don’t really want to read too many reviews, probably shouldn’t in fact, at the risk of spoilers. All you need to know is that the game is not at all what it will seem to be at first, but it takes a while to break away from the “anime dating sim” theme.

It won’t be until the second day (in-game) that there will be even a hint that something different is going on. That said, I’ve been playing video games for decades, mostly PC but more recently getting into consoles, and this would make my top 20 all time, maybe even top 10.

So, summarizing, highly recommended. But whatever you do, pay attention to the warnings! Also, the disc version includes some really cool extras, including stickers and stand-up chibis of the main characters, so get the disc version if you have a console.

Been waiting on a re-release of these games for ages. Really good remake, came well-packaged and swiftly in the mail.

This game is inventive and very refreshing to play. The graphics remind me of fable quite alot, and the gameplay is very well thought out. There are some very lush environments that are very fable-like but you cant roam around freely like Oblivion, they are set out more like levels and there are set paths that you must use.

The minions are hilarious, using pumpkins for helmets and anything from dead rats as beat-sticks. The voice work is brilliant and will make you laugh for ages. Brilliant idea’s that make a brilliant game, the online co-op is survival only, so dont get thinking you’ll be doing the whole campaign together.

Giving this an excellent rating because it was a new ingenious idea that has pulled off when it was first brought out. Recommend!.

While most genre-bending games are content to dissemble just one convention, Overlord takes on two. Not only does it attempt to subvert how you perceive Tolkien-esque high fantasy by essentially putting you in the role of the dark lord Sauron, but the game also plays like a real-time strategy game masquerading as a third-person action RPG.

It’s all very promising, since real-time strategy games can be such slaves to convention; and it’s rare for a game to focus so exclusively on encouraging you to explore your darker impulses. Though the game’s controls take some getting used to, and its exploration of evil could use a little more bite, it’s generally pretty successful.

This game is much better than you have heard. I am not quite sure why there are so many bland reviews about it floating around on the internet, but they are really quite unjustified given the quality of some the games that get “rave” reviews.

In this game you play as an evil overlord, who commands a group of gremlin-like minions to do his bidding. there is a lot of looting, pillaging, some wench abducting, and various other evil overlord activities to be had.

the game isn’t terribly difficult or punishing so pretty much any gamer could pick this one up and enjoy it. on the whole the “evil” in the game is rather toned down from what i would consider truly nefarious, and is really more heroic than some of the stuff you would see various anti-heroes in other games doing.

the controls in the multi player aspect of the game do seem a tidbit sluggish compared to the single player, but after you get over the initial shock from the difference it is quite fun. really great game; I would recommend to pretty much anyone who doesn’t faint when the word evil is thrown around.
