14 Best Outdoor Christmas Light Projector (2022 Updated)

So, the video doesn’t really do it justice bc of the aspect ratio one must use to post a video on here (my phone may be at fault too). Imagine this video but, much more vibrant. We have two of these fun little laser beamers that I strategically place out front of our house each year – and they are well worth the money (maybe $30/ea).

We really only needed one – I bought another anyways. I don’t mind hanging, roping, stringing, and throwing lights all over our house to make an awesome light show but, that takes a lot of time. These take minutes to set-up and they look fantastic.

These star showers are big time and money savers. Xmas lights (at least the amount I’d use) aren’t cheap and can be a pain to unravel then hang everywhere. Get these, you’ll be happy you listened to me.

Oh, and make sure it’s the “Star Shower Motion Laser Light” and not something “similar”. There are a lot of knockoffs out there that don’t work NEARLY as well. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!.

I have used the same Star Shower in my backyard for years. I have it pointed away from my home, up a hill and into trees. It looks stunning at night. My guests cannot believe how beautiful it looks. I just received my Star Shower Motion and tried it out last night.

The same beautiful lights now move and the effect is mesmerizing! The lights shimmer and move, creating a fairy effect. The Star Shower Motion is quite inexpensive right now, which is surprising because the original design has been improved upon.

I love the base rather than the stake and the overall feel is more substantial. Walmart had it for the lowest price I have seen – and free shipping. In a few months, my guess is they will be more expensive and much harder to find.

Star Showers are promoted for Christmas time, but I use mine year-round. My back porch is a place used regularly by my friends and me; the Star Shower lights make it even more inviting. I will continue to use the older one along with the new Star Showers motion for years!.

I received the Startastic Max 12 Color Combinations LED Motion Laser Light Projector for free to try from TryIt Sampling. I thought it was extremely easy to set up, as the directions were very detailed.

It was made of very sturdy plastic, which I think will be able to last outside in the elements. It is also nice that it will work even when it is very cold out. This is a nice feature, as Boston winters can get pretty chilly! The packaging was pretty good quality.

On the inside, there are two cardboard pieces that make sure the different parts are not rattling around. The cord was a little on the shorter side unfortunately. The directions said for outdoor use to plug it into a waterproof outlet, and that the projector should be about 20 feet away from where I was trying to get the image to appear.

It is closer to 10 feet, but with an extension cord it worked. The actual projections were very nice, and I thought it would look great for a wide variety of holiday displays. For the most part, it was super easy to switch between all of the different projections as the remote was clearly labeled.

I only struggled with the projection that switched between the colors, since the chart that detailed which effects were associated with which colors did not say how to get to it. Overall I am pretty satisfied with this projector, and I would recommended it for your holiday displays!.

This is not a bad product, however, it wasn’t necessarily what I was looking for. The lights work awesome whey they are close up but become blurry if you are shining it from a distance. The remote control makes it convenient as you don’t need to go outside to change the settings or the color.

I was a little disappointed with the motion setting, as I feel like it moved way too fast. This is an indoor/outdoor product but I’m not sure how long it would realistically last in the rain. I would cover the back plug areas just in case.

I love that it has an 8 hour timer so You don’t have to worry about it being on the whole night. Overall it’s a good product, I was just looking for something with a slower motion setting to give the illusion of snow falling and a little more definition when projected from a distance.

I have tried other lighting effects, but this StarTastic Max product was the easiest to set up and use. It took seconds to get it working. Plus, its feature rich and has a remote control. Its so easy to use the control for different light effects and colors.

I didn’t need a manual, I just starting clicking and picked my favorite setting. The stand is a nice extra to have and makes it easy to use indoors or out, with or without the stand. I was surprised at how large this is.

One suggestion for when you unpack it: the pin or screw for attaching the device to the stake is hidden under one of the white cardboard packaging inserts. So do not toss anything until you find that tiny screw.

This is the perfect item for parties and holidays.

I ordered this light a day before Christmas. I wont have the opportunity to display it this year, but next year I will proudly have it lighting up our home! I’ve tested it to see what it’s like and it’s so cute! Green Christmas trees and red dots.

I previously had a similar light that quit working and I purchased this to replace it. I’m so glad I did. Plus I got it on sale. Winner winner!!.

Stationary lights, that only options are to flash, or alternate colors, no firefly effect. The number of points of light on unit I received is far less than pictured, closer to my other laser pointing at objects 50 feet or more away when only using the supplied length aimed directly at house.

Remote is slow to respond, and do not notice any increase in speed or intensity with buttons. This with a firefly style would work if aiming at 2 story or higher objects like trees, doesn’t work well on single story buildings.

Only thing. I dont know how it turns itself on at night. I cant find that auto function in the box descriptions. But without doing anything, it turns itself on at night. cool, right? The laser lights are crispy sharp.

Very decorative! Would buy again. The remote is intuitive.

I have purchased this for my home. I have used many times in living room. As soon as I switch these lights on, total environment will become fun and party flavor. Very nice quality and superb lrojection.

Bought two. Really impressed by their brightness and 7 different color settings! Blue, Red, Green, Red & Green, Blue & Green, Red & Blue and all three colors! Then you can have all the colors blinking at the same time.

Also the LED’s revolve in the housing so the lights move! I was so impressed I ordered another to do the whole front of our ranch style house with 3. One of the lights stopped working after 10-15 minutes (the lights revolve but aren’t lit# after 10 minutes it started working again, then failed again.

Called customer service and they ordered me a replacement. A day later I have no update on the two new orders. None available locally. :#.

This product had been marked down to only 5. 00 , I only grabbed 2 wish I had gotten more. I put it to shine on my farmers porch during Christmas, it shined a good distance, the door the side of the garage and around the yard.

It snowed Christmas so when it shined on the tree it was absolutely beautiful with the snow and light hitting together. the product was well worth it, it is plastic but seem durable, unfortunately we had very cold weather following Christmas so it wasn’t s still in ground didn’t want to force it and break it, hopefully will withstand our cold and snowy weather, one of them I gave to my daughter and she loved it also.

Works great but, I dont believe it covers the whole house.It covers a smaller area.

This is a FUN little 3-color (red, green, blue) light source using to project on ceiling. Not tried outside, but bright enough for inside. Its not noisy and adds a degree of festivity to the house. I may be old man, easily entertained, and distracted, but dancing lights and a little music makes me feel good about the season.

It comes with an stake for using in the lawn, but could easily mount it to a small piece of wood for a stand. Hoping the grand-kids like it as much as grandpa. (me) Excellent value.

We had purchased two LED Christmas Light Laser products for our front yard from another store. They were expensive ($199) each, remote control, timer, etc. We realized our backyard needed something so I found these at Wal-Mart on sale for $38.

00 and figured what the heck, worth a try as it was getting close to Christmas. Long story short, this product was much better and prettier than the more expensive ones. While it doesn’t have a remote, it comes on at dusk and goes off at dawn or can easily be put on a timer.

Loved these lights so much, that I ordered 3 more for next season. Don’t think I’ll be using the more expensive ones next year. they did not live up to our expectations in ease of operation. DEFINITELY recommend these!!.

Product is durable and bright for indoor use. Not sure about outdoor. Would recommend this for indoor Christmas light addition or a Saturday night party.

This was exactly what I ordered and wanted. It replaced an older one, but this design is easier to set up and easier to store. Highly recommend.

The Startastic Laser Projector is incredibly quick and easy to set up unlike having to string up numerous sets of lights. There’s different settings, all green, all red, or a mix of both green and red lights.

I have a 3 story house and having this set up in my front lawn it actually illuminates my entire house! I do wish it came in more colors but other than that this is a great product! If you are like me and want to decorate but don’t want the hassle or take the time to string up lights this is the way to go.

Simple, effortless yet classy and beautiful!.

I got 2 of Points of Light last year to shine on a huge cedar tree in our yard at Christmas time. This year, I decided to shine them on our house. I set the 2 in the yard and turned them on to the white and blue setting and got them tilted just right on the house.

I happened to look up and with the way they were tilted, they were also shining on the bare tree limbs above me. it looked like snow was falling everywhere!! What a treat here in the South!! Of course my grandson likes the red and green, so we alternate the colors from time to time.

Looking to buy more so we can point them toward the other trees around the house.

We bought last years’ Points of Light for Christmas and loved it. This year I decided to buy one for my parents. They love to decorate for Christmas; however, my Dad has had two hip replacements and can no longer climb a ladder.

This is so easy! You just plug it in and then stake it into the yard. The remote is simple to use and the unit lights up the whole house! This year, I noticed that there are even more functions than last year’s model (114 in total!) so I bought another one for our house as well.

We liked this light so much that we also bought the Halloween version in addition to Christmas. Can’t wait to decorate!.

I purchased two of these projectors for the front of my home. The coverage is great and they shine bright colors of lights that look so mush better and brighter than the laser light I have seen my neighbor use.

It was easy to set up, just out of the box, add the stand and plug it in. The remote feature has countless combinations so I can have a different light show each night. The units seem to be made very sturdy and give off a very bright light.

I like that they use LEDs so it should not cost much to run them. I would recommend these to anyone that wants to have something different and easier to set up than string lights.

Snowflakes are clear but large in my location. Try moving the light farther away or closer for different size flakes. The light is working to my satisfaction, so I don’t want to move it to experiment.

It certainly is unique and eye catching. It’s a nice touch at a reasonable price. It would be better if it was completely waterproof.

Purchased this item and loved the effect when tried in our living room ceiling light, lite up the entire room, however in our outdoor porch lights it did not work because the light screwed in with the light up, this only put a small light area to the top of the porch, screwed in facing down on the side of the garage it did not spread out enough to make the desired effect, just a small area projecting down.

I would totally recommend it if you have an open fixture to screw it into! I am excited to take camping with us and just screw it into a trouble light and hang it in a tree! It is beautiful if you have the right area to use it!.

Nice bright display of color! Fit in regular light socket, color from over the garage door covers nearly to the street as well as the door and front of the house. Very quick decorating for someone too old to be up and down a ladder stringing lights, and looks very nice from the street.

The unit is substantial and weather proof! Its been raining since we set it up and its not affected at all The remote that comes with it must be one that goes with all models because there are many buttons on it that dont do anything.

Since there is zero documentation with the hardware it was a try it out and see what happens situation. The remote didnt work with the battery provided but a new battery was all that was needed. Overall we ate very happy with our purchase!.
