First of all, I do not have a MidWest LifeStages Dog Crate. I ordered this because one of the crates I have, two different brands, got a crack in the tray. Both of my crates are 48 inch crates. The one I purchased it for was BestPet brand, or something like that.
It was just a little too wide for it. Luckily, it fit my Vibrant Life crate, but a very tight fit. Normally, when I check measurements on things, the items are just a little smaller than it says it will be, so I figured it would fit the one I needed it for.
This crate tray feels very sturdy, and I am pleased with it. I was actually quite shocked that it was not thin and flimsy like the one that came with my Vibrant Life crate. If it lasts as long or longer than my original one, it will have been worth the purchase.
I only wish there was an easier way to order replacement trays by measurements, instead of the size of specific brands of crates. I’ll still have to find a replacement for the one crate, but for now the other crate’s tray fits.
Be sure to measure the INSIDE of the crate. I would recommend measuring at least 3 separate times. On this particular tray, the measurements given were as close to exact as it could be.
2 of my 36″ crates need a replacement pan. I thought these were standard. Well they are definitely NOT. None of my five 36″ crates are wide enough to fit this tray. The length is correct but the wide is not.
Had to return both and now have to go somewhere else to buy them because Chewy only carries this brand. I gave it 2 stars because it feels sturdy and good quality. Too bad they are too wide to fit in my crates.

We bought this mesh top because one of our bunnies kept climbing out of any size cage we got. The top fits the cage we have snug. The clips that came with it to secure the mesh top to the cage aren’t very good if you want to open it every day to clean the cage out.
I find them to small and the clips stick and are hard to grip. A few of the clips where junk from the start. Clip part already bent. We use other clips now to hold the top on. Over all, I would buy again! I give it 4 stars mostly because of the clips being bad.

I purchased this for my cat and he loves it!! It is larger than him and he just curls up in it and goes to sleep, or just relaxes in it. It is very easy to clean; we run a vacuum over it and all the fur is gone and the mat is fluffed up again.
This product stated it was rip and chew resistant. My English Bulldog 9 months old grabbed the brand tag on the bottom of the mat and ripped it off which tore a hole on the kennel mat. He then began to to pull the filling out of it.

I can not say enough about this crate. It is seriously a strong well constructed crate. It is huge. I purchased for my Grand dog pit pull that was coming to live with me. Oh is he wild and strong. I have another dogs and many cats.
I used this for my sleep time and naps, so the rest of the household would be safe. He had quite an adjustment coming to live with us. I have now changed over to a size smaller crate. I could not even move around my bedroom with this crate and it is so large, when he gets something he is not supposed to have he would run into his crate with it and it is so deep I couldn’t reach him to take it away.
He is a handful, but also a treasure. I highly recommend this crate as I am just stunned at the quality after a lifetime of having different size and brand crates over the decades for different situations.
I have never kept one up very long as I prefer training and then putting crate away or taking it apart and making house extension enclosures or our many cats, so they can safely get fresh air and watch the birds.
However, this dog is a handful and crate he is in now will be up for him to sleep in for time being. I will suggest you put it on a mat, so that dogs with separation anxiety don’t move it across the room like mine did.

This is a very nice durable product but I want to touch on the assembly. The sides are basically connected by threading the rod down the small teardrop shaped loops on each panel. The instructions are pretty good but must be read carefully as to which loop on the panel is the top.
Even that might be difficult since some of the loops had to be bent back into alignment. The corners or ends seemed bent, possibly from shipping or from myself banging it around since I did it by myself and it’s pretty heavy, no big deal if you got some big channel locks or proper tools.
The front panel loops must start on top of the side loops in order to have proper clearance for the pullout tray, this is the only part that seems to interfere with the lid as I had to omit the last connection loop from the lid to the side panel.
Again not a big deal and everything is square, aligned and rigid. I think this is a good product but plan on a little struggling to get it assembled correctly.
