20 Best Outdoor Mat For Mud (2022 Updated)

We have a lot of people over so the traffic in and out is great. I was hoping for a larger rug. Even though I read the dimensions, I was still surprised it was no bigger than our previous welcome mat.

I must say it is as pictured, but due to it’s small size, there’s just not a lot of room for feet to be wiped. The ‘coir’ fibers that are supposed to help guest wipe their feet is very limited in size.

The word Welcome and the scrollwork is attractive; however, I wish I had purchased a rug with more of the ‘coir’ wiping fibers.

This is one of, if not the most, elegant welcome mat I have ever seen. It is well worth the price. The only problem is, it made the rest of the items by my front door look shabby, by comparison 🙂

The size was perfect. I thought the coir part looked a bit flattened but perhaps it will fluff out a bit after packaging/shipping. Not sure. The rubber center section with the printed Welcome had about 5 or 6 flaws.

Small eraser tip size circles that looked like places extracted from a mold, small dug in marks. I didn’t like that but reminded myself that it wasn’t too noticeable and feet would be scraping across it anyway.

The sturdy frame around the perfectly tight coir middle, cleans anything with dirt that touches it. Majorly cuts down on what travels inside on the bottom of backyard shoes. It’s a hefty May so one has no excuse for not wiping feet when they enter home through the back door.

Highly recommend for “active outdoor man traffic” & the paws that tag along. 😉. Zero complaints on this wonderful mat.

The design of rubbing edging & fact that mat is not too thick insures that guests will not trip while entering through door. . Will definitely order another mat for back porch!

Love this outdoor rug! It looks great at my front door. Now, I just need to refinish my 85-year-old door. 🙂

I purchased this mat for the area outside our slider in our backyard. This is thicker than most doormats, so I am hoping it stands up to the elements better. The area can get really wet from the sprinklers, so the extra thickness might help it last longer.

It looks exactly as pictured and seems high quality.

This is one of several Fab Habitat products that I have. The mats are so stylish and very durable. Same goes for the all weather accent pillows on the front porch and deck seating. Fab has become my go-to for really cool home accents and furnishings.

Absolutely waste of money. It has fallen apart and left stains. Definitely cute style, but not worth the trouble. Now I need to power wash the front of my house. No cool.

Great runner. Wanted to use this inside my hallway right after walking through the front door. This utility mat will remain in place and trap any mud and dirt tracked in by shoes. We don’t wear shoes in the house, but when you first come in through the door, we scrape our shoes on this to remove dirt and debris from footwear.

It protects our floors and helps when company comes over to wipe their feet if they don’t take their shoes off. It is easy to clean. You can vacuum, shake, sweep, or bring it outside to hose down. This will be very helpful in the winter time when we get snow and salt and ice.

The back of the mat is durable and provides a nonslip stability. It doesn’t curl up and you don’t go flying across the room when stepping on it. I think this could be used anywhere there is high foot traffic, a garage, laundry room, entryway, exterior patio, porch, and even a kitchen.

This is a heavy duty doormat and gets the job done. I placed this mat in front of my front door. It is great for removing dirt from shoes before entering the house. This mat ensures that all the dirt is removed from the bottom of shoes.

I received this DII Walk Off Utility Runner Doormat 24×36 Gray/Black as a free sample. This floor mat does not slip I placed it on my front door its light and not heavy. This material is very good and I can already tell it will last for a while.

I have already washed it 2 times and it easy to clean and dry. Definitely will be buying another one.

Nice mats just what I needed for my patio. They are hard rubber not the flaky kind. I need something hard wearing as my patio is exposed to all kinds weather from high heat to heavy rains. I wanted something that the rain water would running away and not collect underneath and rot like the others I had in the past.

These are just the job.

I bought this at Sam’s club right before Christmas 2020. It looked and felt durable, but I thought maybe I’ll just place it on the inside of my door so visitors can wipe their feet on it and I’ll see how that goes before I place it outside.

I’m glad I did because it started shedding immediately, collected so much hair that it looked like someone is surely going bald and when I tried to vacuum it about a 4th of the fibers came out. After that? The fibers came out even faster so now it’s just a bare looking rug.

Don’t buy.

Mainstays blows me away again! I purchased this in store, where it was priced at $11. 88. Thankfully, they price matched the online sale price of $9. 99. This is a great mat, and not just for the price.

The quality is equal to mats I’ve paid $30 for. It’s thick, sturdy and exactly as described. I followed the trend and ordered a black and white (23×35) plaid mat to layer underneath. (Amazon, $9. 99.

) Definitely recommend!.

Super cute design and color. The only thing is that the material starts to fall and it gets everywhere including inside the house but other than that, I really like. No biggie, it’s just swept away with the rest of the dirt that accumulates so not a deal breaker.

Overall, I really like it.

My only complaint is that I didn’t think this through a bit more. I wanted one for each side of my front door. The outside one is perfect, the inside one blocks the door from opening as it is too low to the floor.

So I should have ordered one with the shorter pile. For now it has been pushed to the side and my cat has taken control of is as his private rug!.

I have been using these coco matt’s for 54 years. Great for the golf course entertrainces. The only matt that grabs & collects the grass attached to spikes on golf shoes. Now that I have puppies these matt’s grab & collect what there paws pickup.

The doormat seems to be of great durable quality, sturdy, thick, good size to be on my front door doorstep. It has a nice appeal. I am very pleased. It was delivered on time.

I saw these quite by accident and thought I could use new mats. I purchased 3 brown Aqua Hog mats. What a steal at $22 each!! They are excellent quality and stylish. I used 2 within my home and another outdoors under a patio cover.

If you need a new mat(s) grab these while on sale!! You won’t be disappointed. And a side note: no funky smell when you open the box!! :).

I ordered two of these rugs for the landing on my steps in my garage. I was waiting until I could hose out and clean my garage from all of the winter grudge. These are just beautiful and work perfectly in my garage.

I purchased mine so many years ago and I’m still loving it! At the time, I got a burgundy color. It’s on our front porch at the door and it holds up to everything! My son is buying a house so I am going to buy one for him.

We had been looking for this type of door mat for awhile and were unable to find one. Our search turned online and we came across this one offered at Bed Bath and Beyond. The web site provided the necessary information so when it arrived it definitely met our expectations.

In fact this far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing a durable weather proof mat. It is well constructed and has been holding up through Fall and Winter.

The size of this mat was perfect by my front door. I initially ordered the lighter gray but it is a “cool” gray and wasn’t the shade I was looking for. I needed something a bit warmer so I returned it.

I chose the darker gray which is close to black and looks great in my foyer.

This mat is the perfect fit for us. Inlabored embarrassingly long over the correct mats for our home and have been through a few that we ended up putting in the rental property because they didn’t make the cut.

This oversized mat has a beautiful subtle pattern that traps all the dead grass and yard debris that my dogs have been tracking in this winter. I love the charcoal color and it goes beautifully against our dark walnut floors.

We ordered the 3×5 for the inside of the door and the mat for outside in front of the door. The larger mat is great in brown and really keep the sand and dirt particles from coming further into the house.

We love the river rock look. The reason for the 4 star is the outside front mat came and the bottom material has multiple areas where it is separated from the top mat.

Such a cute mat! Nice texture to remove items off shoes. My 2 cats instantly loved it as soon as I unboxed it and placed inside to take a look at it. They are sad that it’s now outside away from their clawing needs.

This is a great mat for our front door. It does hold onto the water though when it rains. It seems rugged and I did wipe my shoes off on it and it took the mud off them just fine

Works as you expect. The HI/BYE is clever. Watch the depth clearance – it’s accurate, but I underestimated the door clearance and had to put it in another area than I was planning. But that’s on me.

I have a double glass front door and needed a bigger size mat for it. Originally I bought this one for the outside of the door but it is so good looking I have it inside. I bought the navy blue color and boy does it look good on my wood floor.

We’ve had alot of snow and rain lately, this mat is doing a great job of keeping wet shoes from tracking water through the house.

Similar to another one I bought here and reviewed, I bought this for high use kitchen sink and door mat in rental property. Didn’t want flimsy bath-like mats with backing that degrades. This is more like a waterhog mat and very sturdy, could be used outside.

Color and quality high so justifies the slightly higher price. Reconsidering where to use it but it is durable. Arrived promptly.

I bought these previously in different sizes & was happy with the gold undertone to blend in with my wood floors. I’ve ordered & Re-ordered the ‘Camel’ color 3x but now it is a darker brown. Returned & so disappointed! Please bring gold-camel color back!.

The color of this rug is much darker than on the picture. The size of this rug is also not correct. It’s not 18×28. It’s 18×27. To be very precise it’s 18x(27 and 3/8). It’s exactly the same brand that is sold at Home Depot.

I chose to buy at BBB because I needed 18×28.

This is now my door mat on a small step directly outside my front door, complementing a larger semicircular mat, same brand, different color, on the porch itself. I like my home’s entrance to look elegant and understated.

It was hard to find this small size in a color that pleased me but I’m very happy with it. Classy and simple, beautiful color for winter. It’s a very deep green and complements the bordeaux color of the same brand.

After putting in a double entry door on our house, I started looking for a door mat meant for two doors. They are not easy to find, and are usually very expensive. This mat came in several colors, so I was able to find one that would work.

I only wish that it was a couple of inches longer to fully go from the outer left side to the outer right. I guess my double door is wider than others. Still, better than a mat meant for single door.

Received Aqua Shield Mat 9/2021 for entrance front door. Love the product since I already own a much larger one for inside entry door. The mat vacuums very well and enhances the appearance of my front entry way to the house, The weight of the mat is perfect: does not roll up on corners and absorbs foot traffic.

This is a great doormat for several reasons. 1. It’s the right weight, so it does not move as you step, but not too thick that doors will not get caught when opening. This equates to safety to avoid tripping.

2. The design is great as well as the color because it doesn’t “show” dirt. The grooves can collect excess debris which can easily be swept away.

Love this Welcome mat! Have had it a month and love the quality & look. It’s both masculine & neutral. The color variations in the ‘stone’ allow it to blend in with many different color pallet choices.

I bought this rug a couple of weeks ago. It is a great size for my entryway and it helps tremendously in getting dust and dirt off shoes and even helps get excess dirt off our dogs feet as well. Very nice neutral color, not too light more of a camel.

Great mat for inside the front door entry. It is of heavyweight construction and nicely cushioned for comfort. I shopped around for a good-looking functional mat and am pleased I found this one at such a reasonable price.

Exactly as described. It is 18″ wide which is kind of narrow but it works. I needed the length and that works great. No problem with shedding or running when rained on. I’m loving it.

I bought tree of these and after a week, one ripped down the middle. The next ripped within three weeks followed by the third ripping within six weeks. They’re not returnable so you have to plead with Zulily to refund the cost.

I’m still waiting on my refund for the first two and now I have to plead my case for the third! Not worth the trouble.

I had already purchased one of these rugs from Plow and Hearth. When. I saw the sale price I had to have another for my back door. These rugs are amazing! They hold a ton of dirt, mud and sand and are easily cleaned.

Best rug for any entry area! A must have for houesholds with dogs and/or kids! Zulily price makes it an even better deal!.

The rug contains cream, black and brown threads. The brown has a more yellow cast than I expected (similar to burnt sienna if you’re a painter). This creates more of a mottled look than the blended look I expected based on the photos.

The quality seems good, but I haven’t washed it yet.
