20 Best Outdoor Playsets For Toddlers (2022 Updated)

I have several suggestions. 1) A list of what hardware you should have leftover with quantities would be extremely helpful. That way you can compare what you have left over with what you should have leftover and more easily determine where any mistakes may have been made.

2) Building off my previous suggestion, it would also be advantageous to be able to click on the parts in the parts list and have a menu pull up with a clickable list of steps in which that part is used.

3) A quick access ruler to measure hardware that came out of the identifying packaging would be very useful.

I just started putting this together yesterday and at about 3 hours in, I’m almost finished. The kit is great quality, all of my screw holes line up, everything is there, etc. The kit is lighter than expected, like my wife and I can move it around with no issues, but it does come with anchors to anchor it down.

It’s also a little smaller than expected, which is fine, I just didn’t study the measurements like I should have. Overall, its a great kit though, especially if you have a smaller yard.

We purchased this fabulous set for our little grandson and he absolutely loves it. Two swings (we paid extra for a bucket swing seat as well as the ordinary seat), a climbing wall, slide, covered fort on top with mesh sides for safety and complete with a blackboard too.

It was straightforward to erect, with clear and detailed instructions and is very solid. A great outdoor play set he’ll enjoy for years. Thank you.

I spent several weeks researching playsets before getting the Skyfort 2 with wave slide. I don’t know how this set has so many great reviews. The wood is very thin and many of the boards are warped. Some are also cracked.

This made it very difficult to assemble without breaking them. Some pilot holes were in the wrong place and some didn’t have any at all. We have a 40 lb 5 year old and 60 lb 7 year old. If only one of them are swinging or in the fort the whole playset just makes the loudest screeching and wood bending noises I have ever heard.

It sounds like it’s going to come crashing down. I stood under the fort floor and saw the floor boards bending as they walked on them. They are only 100 lbs together so this should not be happening. The slide was bending with their light weight so I had to call customer service and they said they would send a replacement but we aren’t letting them on this set.

It would need lots and lots of reinforcement and not sure if that would even help. When the kids are both on the glider the whole fort would sway even with anchors. This shows the wellness of the thing as a whole.

It took my boyfriend about 50 hours to assemble but we have considered taking it down and sending it back it was so expensive and not worth a tenth of what it cost. I’m so disappointed I could cry. I’d be surprised if this thing lasted 6 months.

We bought this for our daughters first birthday and since she figured out how to climb up it she plays with it all day every day. It’s sturdy and does t wobble really nice set up. My husband said there were a ton of screws but set up was easy with a power drill and a rubber mallet instead of the hammer and piece of wood in the instructions.

Love this set. It took 1. 5 days for my husband and my dad to put this together but turned out nice. You can probably even customize it a bit if you want. The slide is pretty steep and kids can gain some speed coming down.

It is perfect for a 3-4 year old—not too short and not too long, not too steep but steep enough. The set has just enough bells and whistles to keep both younger kids and older kids entertained. We’ll have to see how well it lasts through time.

We just got it so it has not had a chance to be rained on or bake in the Southern California sun to prove its durability.

This is much more like a 2,000 piece puzzle than something you assemble quickly. Don’t expect to have your kids playing on it the same day. I’m an engineer, and it took me a full day to assemble. The instructions were good, but the manufacturing was often imprecise and many holes had to be re-drilled.

The hardware is made of a cheap weak metal that cross-threads or breaks easily. I used far more tools than the instructions said I would need. I sometimes had the feeling that the designers never built one themselves, because many elements could have been simplified and improved at the same time.

It would be significantly more sturdy and a little less expensive if they had used long pieces of wood instead of 3′ lengths stuck together with bolts. They probably wanted to avoid a long box and sacrificed strength as a result.

However, it’s made for little ones and in general they’ll probably grow out of it before they cause any serious damage. I would not buy this again, but it’s done and I suppose it’s good enough.

Worth the amount paid! Purchased for a little under $300. Good structure and quality pieces. I did have one hole that was incorrectly drilled, but that was easy enough to fix. The kids love it! Says build time takes 4 to 8 hours with two people.

Took me 10 hours by myself. I am very handy and build a lot of things by myself. This is for younger kids, as stated the swing bar has a maximum weight of 100lbs. I would say by 7 or 8 they may be too big for it.

Our playset turned out great! Our son loves it. My husband and I put it together ourselves. I’d say it took approximately 12-15 hours total and that was over the span of 3 days. We did spend 8 hours straight on it the first day and got the bulk of the building parts put together.

My husband then finished the details and roof by himself over the next two days after work. The instructions were easy to follow but we did have a little issue starting off. We didn’t realize/notice the many different holes in each piece and didn’t have them all in the right directions at first.

We did end up having to take apart some of the main framing pieces to flip the boards around. It’s super cute, super sturdy, we all try to fit in the upper house part and it’s strong enough to hold us! Lol.

I really enjoyed construction the canyon creek play set for our kids. It was a long process but it’s finally done. Did it myself with some instructional guidance from my wife and it probably took 25 hours over the course of 5 weeks.

Work, life, etc got in the way but the BILT app is so helpful and the steps are not very extensive. Not many tools are truly needed to get this done. I used my power screwdriver/drill the entire time it felt like.

3 swing system is great for young toddlers who struggle with sharing swing time.

Great play set, especially for the price. We chose this playlet as we have bigger kids but still wanted them to be able to swing and play. I like that it is plastic so I don’t have to worry about carpenter bees and re-staining every few years.

The low maintenance is a definite plus. It took me (36f) about 12 hours to put together BUT I was doing all of the structural stuff slowly, reading instructions multiple times before connecting as I was worried I’d make a mistake and have to start over.

You can put it together on your own BUT you will need a help for certain parts. It recommends 3 people but I don’t think you need more than 2. Very happy with the set.

We bought this play structure to replace a wooden structure we had purchased previously. Overall, the durability of metal & plastic just seems superior to standing up to the elements over time. The swings all feel stronger (our primary goal), but the plastic walls (climbing holds) and upper play surface feel surprisingly flimsy for anyone larger than the “ recommended” 5-12yr olds.

It would also be nice if they included at least 4 support anchors (one for each tower post, and maybe even the swing posts). They do seem to acknowledge this isn’t a bad idea in that the additional kit you can purchase comes with four rather than two.

This was purchased for two young (2. 5 & 1 yrs) grandchildren. We knew they were a little young, but we added a couple of toddler swings for immediate use. We initially planned to purchase a top-of-the-line wooden playset, but after a great deal of research decided to go with a top-grade metal one instead.

We watched multiple YouTube reviews and decided on this company & model. We hired a local handyman to assemble it ($300). After a week or so of use, we are all pleased. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we were send a video of the 2 year old climbing the ladder by himself and sliding down the slide.

He also eschews the toddler swing for the regular one – amazing!.

Arrived with 6 boxes. You will need space for the delivery. Assembly was very straight forward. My only tip is to go through one step at a time and only take out wood piece you will need so that you don’t get confused since it took me a long time to search for the wood pieces.

My son loves it. I made a small modification since I don’t have a big yard and also made the slide so that my sons can slide into the pool. It looks great and my son spent hours on it. Even my wife enjoyed sitting on the swing while watching my son played.

I purchased the Little Tikes Hide and Seek Climber & swing just over a week ago for my 1 year old granddaughter. It arrived today, I’m pleased to say all the parts were there, it was easy to put together & is very sturdy.

I have a 4 year old and a 16 month old. This playset is wonderful for them. I would not say that they have hours of fun on it, but they do have a lot of fun on it. I see so many negative reviews on this product.

My opinion is in the contrary. If anyone was to hear your suggestions on how to fix a negative reviews, here are my suggestions. Follow all the instructions on how to properly set it up and take your time.

Make sure all the bolts are tightened before use or you may have a horror riffic accident. Never leave your children unattended. They can fall off of the perch after climbing the rocks to get to the slide.

The swing does move a little bit, but use common sense on how to stop it from moving. Put grippers underneath Each corner or under the desired areas to secure the bottom. Use a really long yoga mat underneath the playset.

It will slip on carpet and it will slip on hard floor unless you use non-skid non-slip protectors under each corner or wherever you wish to place them or a really long yoga mat to keep it in place. The swing is not as low as everyone says it is.

My four-year-old is in the 30th percentile height and he can still swing on it. No matter what anyone says this is a wonderful play set and I would highly recommend it 5 stars all across, but if the safety rules are not going to be followed or common sense is not going to be used I do not recommend this playset.

Pro: -This playset looks exactly as pictured -it is size appropriate for toddlers -toddler loves being allowed to finally climb up on something -toddler can get in swing by their selves Cons: -it is held together by a few bolts but mostly large plastic screws.

Not sure how durable and safe big plastic screws are for something our child is climbing all over. Trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. -The slide just pops in place. -It is not a heavy set so the slightest wind will blow it away and it has no anchors.

This was obviously designed to be used indoors. -It has a tunnel under the slide which would be fun for the little one but it wasn’t well planned since the swing blocks the other opening. -the swing is made so toddler can get in and out which is great but not good when they want pushed in the swing bc they don’t know/want to at that age to keep their feet up.

We bought the Monkey Bar Adventure Swing Set (Earthtone) at the end of March and got it delivered mid-April. I am trying to capture my experience as a whole hoping it will help whoever is still deciding on this.

Ordering (5 stars): We ordered directly from Lifetime’s site and the ordering was very straight forward. Received a confirmation email with the order number and other details right after. Shipping (4.

5 stars): It did take about 10 business days for the order to ship. So don’t get discouraged if you don’t receive the shipping notification as soon as you order it. Once the item was shipped, we received a tracking number with the name of the shipping company.

I tracked the order everyday and it showed a earliest delivery date on the site. I called the shipping company and they told me to contact the residential delivery team as they usually hand it over to them.

I called the residential delivery team two days later and was able to schedule the delivery the next available date. This entire process however moved the delivery date by 5 days from the date shown on the tracking site.

I was in a hurry as this was to be a birthday gift for our 6 year old and wanted to get it installed before. Delivery(5 stars): The playset was delivered right on time on the agreed date. There were thre long boxes and the slide neatly packed on the pallet.

The driver was kind enough to place it close to the garage. I was able to slide the boxes out of the pallet by myself and there were no visible damages to any of them. Installation (5 stars): I did almost all of the steps myself ( 5’9 – 180 lb) with my wife’s help towards the end.

All the materials were nicely packed and labeled. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I laid out the parts next to the installation site and followed the instructions very carefully.

I only used hand tools (the two Allen keys it came with) and tried very hard to not to over-tighten the bolts. However I did slightly over-tighten the Monkey bar tubes and I could see that the bolt was pushing the tube in.

This made the end cap installation very difficult as the end of those bars weren’t round anymore. But with a rubber mallet I was able to push the end caps in its place. Some helpful hints if you are not already aware.

** Do not use power tools unless it is necessary. ** Please do not fully tighten the bolts unless the instructions call for it , or after the complete installation. ** There are no spare nuts or bolts , so keep them safe ** I had two bolts break on me during the installation and luckily I was able to use the nuts from the fire pole accessory pack and did not install the fire pole (ordered the parts and waiting for it to be delivered) ** The playset needs to be on a levelled lot when you attach the swing bar to the monkey bar assembly.

The holes wont line up if they are not. I end up using some lumbar and folded cardboard to level the two parts and then put the screws in. Quality (5 stars): This is a very durable playset. Though it was a little concerning to see the tubes bending a little when you overtighten the bolts but they are heavy enough already and making them even heavier will drive the cost up.

However this also proved that the bolts are as strong as the set and will hold things in place without a doubt. There was no visible scratches on the paint but I did see some discoloration here are there.

I have asked for the touch up paint and planning to cover the area when I have them. With proper maintenance, I have no doubt this set will last for years to come. Support (5 stars): As two of the bolts broke during the installation, I had emailed the support email address requesting replacement parts.

After waiting for a couple of days , decided to use the chat feature and “Kyle” was kind enough to help me order the parts and the touch up paint that I needed. I am not sure when it will be delivered yet but when it does, I am looking to set up the pole right away.

Overall – 5 Stars – Our boys (6 and 3 and a half) have loads of fun on this set and it is slim enough to not to make our yard to look like a commercial playground. We are spending a lot of time on this playset and so are the kids from our street.

We have had this swing set for a couple years now. I have never felt compelled to write a review before but this product is excellent. Our son is 9 and he and is friends all play on it. It’s great for older kids and very sturdy.

We live in a Iowa and a Derecho (an inland hurricane with winds up to 140 mph for around 45 minutes) went through in August. We lost our roof, ceilings caving in inside our house, lost our trampoline of course, trees were pulled out of the ground by their roots, light poles tipped over, no power for days, and our Lifetime swing set still looks great.

I am truly amazed by the quality. On another note, we are using lots of a Lifetime tables for our makeshift kitchen in our basement. Thank you for making excellent products!.

I was very impressed with this product. Assembly was very easy and the materials are excellent. No metal to rust. No small parts to lose. very clever system of plastic nuts and bolts! it would be so easy to disassemble if needed to relocate later.

I have this in my living room and my girl loves it.

I think it’s nice, but the instructions are not clear. Letters are small too. A bit pricey and I have not really assembled it. ( till next month)

The perfect swing set for our children and yard! It’s a great size and great quality. We originally ordered from Walmart, but after two weeks it never arrived because it had been broken in transit. I said, “well that’s what I get for not buying from the original retailer” and we ordered again but now from Backyard Discovery.

It arrived quickly and in one piece! Hard to believe an entire swing set fit in the one box! We opened it up in the garage and counted out all the pieces. Everything was accounted for. No damages. The cedar smells amazing.

I feel a little concerned the wood seems dry, but it certainly hasn’t cracked or seemed brittle. Once built we’ve had it up for nearly four weeks at the time of this review. Our son LOVES it and swings on it every day except when it rains.

He cannot get enough of it and I am so happy with the purchase. It was very easy to put together. The directions were easy to follow. HOWEVER, I recommend organizing the parts before beginning. The sheer amount of pieces was the most daunting part of building it, so beginning with organization was key.

It would have otherwise taken much longer. We built it in two stages in the garage, the swing side and the slide side, as it was rainy that week, and because the wood is so light we were able to then carry the pieces to the yard and complete assembly.

Highly recommend this swing set for anyone with a few kids. My only ‘disappointment’ is that Backyard Discovery doesn’t appear to sell a bucket seat for smaller children to swing in. That said–the guidebook recommends ages 3+ and I figure they do not sell a bucket because that would encourage under 3 to use.

Overall I’m happy with the purchase. I put it together over a couple days and probably spent 6 hours total on assembly. Its a small swingset which fits well and looks nice in our small yard. Its great for toddlers and small kids but too small and light for anyone bigger.

I’d say 5 years old is the max age for this. The wood is thin and light and had a thin protective stain. Its been through one winter so far and I only expect it to last 1-2 more years before breaks. We had a 7 year old swing on it pretty roughly for about 15 minutes which was enough to make the wood a little wobbly even after retightening all the bolts.

I do like that its all wood which will make disposal easier when it does break or when the toddlers outgrow it in a couple years. I don’t expect it to be in good enough condition to be able to resell it when we’re done with it.

My husband and and son who are both very knowledgeable and sufficient in construction ( and reading instructions) took over 4 hours to put this together. If you are a beginner or not quite intermediate ( as they suggest for a 4 hour build for 2 people) consider that.

My son has ADHD and he stated that he would have lost interest after the first hour had my husband not been driving him. So many pieces but the end result was well worth it. The set is sturdy, well marked for assembly, and my baby grand was squealing ( we bought an infant seat for her as this is for older kids) with delight.

The price was right and we are happy. Just beware the set up if you are inexperienced or have issues with focusing on the end result.

I’d been looking at Backyard Discovery’s swingsets and this one came up, met everything we wanted (two story, rockwall, slide(s), balconies) so we pulled the trigger. The shipping was fast; however, the shipper (separate from Backyard Discovery) wasn’t the best to deal with.

They were supposed to work with me on delivery date and require someone present/a signature. Instead they drop shipped the set (which comes in 4 boxes) and left while no one was home. Thankfully it didn’t rain much that day and the driver was nice enough to bring it up my driveway (which was written they were not obligated to do).

Anyways, onto the product itself. I really like it. My kids love it. It took about 25 man hours to complete the build and required two people for the parts where you were setting up the main structure of the playhouse area (putting the walls up and support boards for said walls).

Otherwise most of the work was a single person. We were missing a floor board (we had an extra board that didn’t go with this set in the box) and a couple boards were slightly cracked, but this isn’t prime pressure treated wood so I was expecting that and Backyard Discovery covers this with free shipping.

Can’t complain there. My kids have a blast playing on it and I feel that it will last. I’m sure pieces will breakdown through the North East seasons we have, but I’m OK with having to maintain it a bit considering the price compared to other all cedar playsets (though this is C.

I really wanted to move this play set. After hours of assembly and miss drilled holes that do not align, the main pole connected to the treehouse that has the longer screw does not align at all when the 2nd hole for the 2nd aligns perfectly.

How is it that one of the two holes align perfectly and the other doesn’t? Big issue and not worth the money paid. Will be calling customer service to see what they will do. I should’ve just built one from wood myself with $200 worth of hardware.

At least it would’ve been sturdy and I could’ve made it how I wanted it. Now I do not even trust the structural integrity of this. Never again am I purchasing little times brand. Such a waste of money.

My son saw me building it and was so excited only to say it might not even be built due to the lack of quality control. I’ve built a 10 x 20 shed that has over 3000 parts and this was soMe how more stressful.

i thought this was auper cute when i first saw it. i originally wanted one that had room for 3 swings because we always had company over and i had a 4 and 1 year old. we ordered in April, it took 3 weeks to ship out, a week on the road and then the day before it was supposed to be delivered they marked it as damaged and that it had to be returned.

it happened two more times before we had one actually delivered. it didn’t take too long to put together. my older kid could swing and slide by herself. she loved climbing up the side. my younger one loved the steering wheel and slide.

he couldn’t climb up the rock wall last year but now that hes two he can do it by himself.

This product has several fundamental design flaws. One is easy to remedy (unless you are a young couple starting out without a lot of hardware and stuff in your garage). ALL of the bolts lack washers on the bolt head side.

As a result, when you tighten the nuts, the bolt heads easily pull right through the soft plastic. Had anyone tried assembling this at the factory, they would have included 25 cents worth of washers to prevent this.

Secondly, expecting a consumer to thread an eye bolt blindly through a hole tied to a piece of string and a pencil is just plain lazy / bad design. When you finally succeed at this, there is no way to place a washer AND a plastic nut cover over the bolt end while trying to apply the nut, with NO WAY to hold the bolt and keep it from slipping back through the hole.

You are lucky to just catch the end threads with the nut without pushing what little protrudes through the hole back inside. Finally, they should at least punch marks where the screws should go. Instead, they leave slots and expect you to judge for yourself where along the slot the screw should go (there are no pre-drilled holes for the screws).

So in summary, we have a $600 product which could have been vastly improved through the addition of a few dollars worth of hardware. Being an engineer myself, I just stand and shake my head wondering why nobody even tried to assembly this at the factory, and make the few required adjustments before selling the product.

I was very excited to get the Ainsley Outdoor Playset but to tell you it is easy to put together is surely an understatement. This set is really hard to put together but, I thought it was great for my grandson.

“This box is only 140 lbs, but 7’ in length, 9. 5” thick, but less than 2’ wide. When you have a swing set crossbeam and upright posts involved, it’s just going to be hard to get around that 7’+ length box.

You will honestly be surprised a whole swing set fits into such a compact box, but you’ll probably see that there’s a tradeoff for that fast convenience. ” My son has been trying for days to put it together but he is a truck driver and it will take at the very least two people to put this set together; not to mention we have been having nothing but rain lately and we look and looks like the next 5 days is rain every day.

I know you will want to have a solid ground when installing and for it to be dry. This is the perfect kids set to have with Spring and Summer approaching quickly and school out. The kids can play until their hearts are content.

Many of the pieces of wood came split but not sure how so they had to be replaced. Overall this is a great set for your little ones to have in the backyard and not have to worry about the safety of letting them play at a park or playground.

This is a perfect and safe way to monitor your little ones. Also, it should be known that this is not for larger kids I would say more so for the smaller ones maybe 3-7 years old depending on weight which is maxed at 110 lbs.

I recommend this set to try but be ready for the task at hand putting it together it did not seem like all that was in the compact box but it did weight in at over 140 lbs so you may want to get professionals to install it for you, provided you provided the weather is clear and sunny.

With spring fast approaching, we have been looking for a new outdoor playset for our girls, as their old wooden one has seen better days, and didn’t stand up to the past few winters like we hoped it would.

Lots of other reviewers have correctly addressed this play set’s quality. It’s real wood (light wood, but real) and the hardware isn’t so cheap that I’m left concerned it’s going to corrode after two seasons and fall down.

My main beef with the thing was the packaging and setup instructions. My wife, father-in-law, and I got it done in about 10 hours total, but that could EASILY have been 6 or 7 hours if we didn’t have to spend so much time sorting through hardware.

The wood is labeled well enough. There are a lot of pieces, so at first you’ll spend a little time searching for the right one, but as the pile thins, that becomes easier. But the hardware? I thought it was a joke! The hardware (of which there is a ton) comes in three boxes.

There are easily several hundred pieces, including all the bolts, nuts, screws, washers, lock washers, t-nuts, and screws – and apart from a few things that were pre-bagged, it was all just LOOSE HARDWARE.

Then, adding insult to injury, the labels for the hardware in the instructions don’t match the printing on the hardware itself. You’re forced to actually measure the bolts to make sure you’re getting the right size.

And it’s not like there were 10 four-inch bolts and 20 eight-inch bolts. There’s at least 8 sizes, many of which differ from each other by only a quarter or half of an inch. Toward the end of the build, we were left with two bolts of slightly different sizes, one of which was too small for its intended application, resulting in a hardware store run.

End of the world? No, but so completely preventable. At that point in the process, there was no way of knowing if we’d not received the right number of bolts or if we’d used one incorrectly six hours before.

Asking the buyer to sort through all the carriage and hex bolts on their own to inventory what they received against the packing list is burdensome and silly. With a few extra labels and plastic bags, Gorilla could make this a lot easier.

But no, they just dump all the metal parts in a couple of boxes and say good luck. All in all a good set, but either count all 500 pieces before you begin or have a hardware store in mind to hit up when you find out you’re missing one critical part.

We have had our Gorilla play set for almost 10 years. It has been through one move and has has been restrained once. It still looks great and is holding up quite well. I have had to replace the awning cover twice over the years.

A tree fell on one and ripped it and the second one just wore out. Our two younger kids still use it when the weather allows and now our oldest brings his daughter over and she also plays on it. I have friends with small kids and have seen the play sets they have.

I feel as though, Gorilla has a better product. The lumber used is beefier than most others on the market. Their are play sets that are even stronger than Gorilla, but their is quite a price difference.

Money aside, Gorilla has a great product that, with a little care, will last for quite a few years. Thank you for what you do and keep up the good work!!.

Purchased through Gorilla, was shipped in a timely manner. However delivery was not satisfactory, was delivered in a semi-truck and required several people to move all the boxes inside the truck due to heavy items already in the truck from another delivery.

The product itself is overall lacking in my opinion given it’s price point. The wood is easily cracked, multiple boards w/ mild cracking now after use. Concerned about the long term durability. the tube slide option is fun for the kids, however the slide is very thin and installation was difficult given the plastic was warped and not well constructed.

My kids do love this set, however, quality is fairly low in my opinion, had a previous set from tree frogs and they had a much better product.

I bought the Aurora swing set about a month ago. First I must tell you if you follow the directions it is so easy to put together it’s idiot proof and if you have problems then you shouldn’t have tools in your hands.

Apparently inspecting the pieces a few of them were cracked I called the 800 number to order the broken pieces I talked to a lady named Nadege and she was very helpful and knowledgeable she knew exactly what I needed and explain to me about the warranty of the swing set she was polite pleasant to speak to and it only took 10 minutes to order the parts I needed this is a great starter set for children I would recommend this product to anyone thank you.

Let’s start with some key topics: I LOVE this item! READ instructions thoroughly. Take your time. “Chalkboard” is odd. Very sturdy. Nice small sized for a smaller yard. I’m 32, did this with myself and my father, took roughly 5 hours.

(But we are both overly perfectionists to the point it was annoying and slowing us down. I’m sure it shouldn’t take that long) Pros: Affordable Compact (I had a small play area I wanted it placed at) Sturdy Great quality swings and slide for the price Cons: No handle bars at top of rock wall for the final pull up No backing behind chalkboard, I’d be worried about it ripping and a kid falling through.

Small opening at the rock wall to get to the slide. (My son is 4, watching him is what I’m basing this on. To start, my overall impression is I truly do love this item. Sure there is a few things I wish were different, but nothing other than minor stuff that truly isn’t a big deal overall since I can fix both issues myself.

Referring to the things I listed in cons: no bars for a kid to hold on to once at the top of stairs/rock wall. You would think handles of some sort would come with it for their final pull up. But not the hugest deal, and I’m planning to add myself.

Also, the chalkboard. it just an odd thick plastic type piece. My biggest issue about it is there is no support behind it. Who’s to say a kid might not be too wild and push up against it, it snap, and they fall through.

Maybe I’m not giving the material enough credit, I’m not sure. But I added a backing to it myself in case. Added that also gave it a hard surface to be able to push against to write on the chalkboard.

) Don’t let these two issues take away from my love for this product though! I wanted to stay transparent so others aren’t shocked once they notice these things also, but they aren’t make or break issues in my opinion.

Very easily fixable and for cheap as well. This product is truly very sturdy/heavy feeling once put together to me. Honestly I was a bit skeptical taking the pieces from the box, and even while putting it together until the end.

A few pieces pre drilled holes weren’t perfect, but what can you expect. It still worked out nicely regardless and I sit on the swing no problem with my son. (I’m 5’2 130lbs) I don’t actually swing, but I glide back and forth slightly and I feel absolutely secure and safe doing so.

One thing I will mention, don’t be like me. play close attention to the instructions! I’m such a picture instruction person in the sense I view the photo and tunnel vision on that. There were some pages that had print on them of certain stuff like “notice the hole placement” “one side facing out other side facing in” type of things that I ended up noticing steps later and had to go back and waste time correcting stuff.

This was 100% my personal error. So be sure to look over all the small print writing/tips/instructions and don’t be like me! If you want a smaller play structure for whatever reason. I’d absolutely get this! My son is 4.

I can see it lasting him truly only a couple years. But that’s expected as it states the age range it is for. I wanted a smaller one due to where I wanted to place it and honestly I am very pleased/happy with this item.

As is my son. I would hands down recommend it. **for visual reference of size in my photos. I have this placed inside of a single car car port structure. **.

Purchased on sale and very happy with the price and delivery. Delivered through a private third party, they called to schedule the delivery time! They put it right into our garage 4 days after ordering which was great! All parts came in 3 separate boxes.

Instructionsike most were just pictures but very organized! Took 3 people two days to build, as expected as reviews on other sites said 2-3 days to build. I read the dimensions before ordering, but it’s definitely smaller that I thought and the colour of wood is way off, its very light, not darker like pictured, also many of the predrilled holes split the wood which was suprising when the cost was $2000 +.

Overall really happy with this playset, love the side by side slides, and the kids love it! Hopefully it hold up!.

The swing set came in four different boxes with two boxes strictly wooden pieces to assemble. I was hoping one box would cover one part of the set but that wasn’t the case. It took us a really long time just to sort out all of the pieces.

Once organized, with a lot of help, we were able to successfully put it all together. It is a beautiful swing set that seems very sturdy and well designed. It’s just a pain to put it all together.

I will start by saying that you get the best bang for the buck with it. So, big thank you BJs. There are a bunch of features that you will actually only find in more expensive models at other vendors such as: dual slides, sliding tube, singing saucer and two swings (adults can use these).

It is very sturdy once anchored to the ground with all stakes. My three and a half year old grandson is enjoying it every day. I would buy it again in a hearth beat. It took around 15 hours to put together by myself and only because I had to modify the section that the sliding tube gets attached to.

The opening was way too big with the pre-drilled holes, so I had disassemble a bunch of things already put together to cut and drill different holes. Two people would make it even faster. The instructions were pretty straight forward.

The sliding tube is a little pain to put together, maybe better attachment mechanism would have helped cut down the time. There are a ton of screws, nuts, washers and bolts. You will be left with a boat load of extras which is really good.

No need to hunt for parts in the middle of the job. I did not install the conversation swing. Seem to be a little bit of waste as it is fairly small and only fit small children. I think the space would be better put to use as a little house with walls and windows.

I think I am going to build one myself. Have had this only for a few weeks, so I cannot speak to the longevity, but it looks good so far.
