12 Best Outdoor Speakers For Rv (2022 Updated)

I purchased 2 of these speakers in December 2020 and we were so impressed that we decided to add 2 more speakers. We have 6 klipsch speakers (4 rock speakers & 2 mounted to our covered patio ceiling) to surround our pool/patio area.

The sound is outstanding. I can’t imagine any other speakers sounding better. Even though these speakers are relatively new we have no complaints so far. They appear to be very well constructed. My husband ran the speaker wire and hook up was simple.

We would HIGHLY recommend. Customer service with the Klipsch team was also excellent.

In the past, I’ve used TIC corp “rock speakers” & have been generally pleased with those, although I wished they had a little more high end. Upon trying these, I found them to have satisfactory high end along with the same bass I was getting with the TIC’s.

The TIC’s I’ve been using have a 8″ driver & the Klipsch have only a 6″ but the amount of bass is almost identical, even with the Klipsch having a smaller driver & a smaller “rock”. The TIC rock speaker with a 8″ driver go for around $110 new, while these go for $150 to $200 new.

I’m rather fussy when it comes to sound & I feel these are well worth the difference in price !!.

This speaker is mindblowing. My backyard is big with pool playground etc, and due to concern for neighbors I can only play 3 out of 10 potential of this speakers. I could have easily be fine with one speaker but chose 2 to start with.

Crisp sound excellent bass. Mindblowing sound. Very easy to install and wire. Try one speaker first , you may not need the second. I ordered via BHPhoto as they promise free 2-day shipping , its same price all over.

First of all, I received great service from my Magnolia rep, Jonathan, while comparing outdoor speaker options for my 1600 square foot Lanai and pool area. That’s a lot of area to cover with speakers than can only face one direction away from neighbor’s houses.

I’m already a Definitive Technology fan with my home theater system, so the AW6500s were top of my speaker list being considered. Going with the 6 1/2-in version versus the 5 1/2-in version of these speakers is a no-brainer.

Spend the extra money for the AW6500s. The 10-in bass radiator does a decent job of providing mid-bass notes not normally found in traditional outdoor speakers. By no means does it replace the sound that a powered subwoofer would give you, but they are far better than standard outdoor speakers which cost way more.

These AW6500 speakers project a broad, full spectrum soundstage with a hint of bass if properly mounted in the corner of an awning, and do a fantastic job filling 1600 square feet with clear sound. The bass radiators have to have a hard surface to reflect off of, such as a wall, otherwise they’re not as effective.

I will be wall mounting a slim powered subwoofer to help these speakers hit the lower end of the spectrum under 60 hz. These are powered by Sonos Amp which pushes them just fine.

I researched these speakers extensively before my purchase and they have not disappointed. I could seriously light up multiple backyards with their sound. I consider myself an undercover audiophile and these speakers sound good when played at low volume as well as when turning them up.

I’m powering these with my Sonos amp (100×2). If I could figure out how to get my shingles from vibrating I would probably play them a little louder. Nothing but pure clean quality sound. Buy without reservation!!.

The AW6500s from Definitive Technology are the standard, not an exception in conversations about outdoor speakers. Assuming you have the appropriate outdoor space to utilize their design, they are the best bang for the buck when paired with an appropriate amplifier.

These things are capable of handling anywhere from 10-175 watts. That being said, they perform best in the upper power range. Do not hook them to a 50 watt amp and expect the best performance from them.

They will perform at that rating, just not as well as they would with more power. Personally, I’m using a 100 watt per channel amplifier and it is more than enough power to produce great sound for my space.

I recommend hooking them to an amplifier you can control the treble and bass to really dial in the best tone. As far as I can tell, the speakers are fully sealed and weather resistant. Not weather proof, weather resistant.

In the directions, it recommends installing them under some sort of protection, like the eaves of your house. Also, in order to get the best performance, the passive radiator must face a solid surface of some sort.

Keep this in mind when you consider these in your application. Overall, for the price point, the sound quality is top notch. Even standing 100 feet away, I can clearly hear the subtle nuances in the highs and mids.

It is a challenge to feel the lows at that distance but the lower audible frequencies are still present.

these speakers are smaller than the osd’s i bought before but the sound is much better. the separation and balance from high to low and sterio effect is very good. just enough bass but not enough to drown out the highs.

the sound is very loud outside if i want it to go there. but you can have a conversation within it which is what i like to do.

Just installed. Great Sound. Remains to be seen if they can hold up to the rain and heat here in Florida

Sound quality and volume: This little system packs great sound and runs great with all the phones/tablets in my home. We’re a gadget familty, so we use various Android devices, including the HTC MyTouch 4G, Amaze 4G, Samsung Galaxy 3, Asus Transformer Prime, a couple of generic 7″ tablets), all them with the PlayerPro music app, along with a couple laptops and iPods.

This speaker has way better sound than any phone or tablet, and even better volume and quality than the JBL speakers on our Lenovo and the Altec Lansing speakers on our Asus laptops. I can’t believe how much bass I get while holding this thing.

The first few days I had it, a new song from our library would come on that sounded especially good and I’d run over to my wife to show how loud and clear it was. Control Buttons: As for the controls, I know the Rockout 2 is made to be iPhone compatible, since the Android OS allows apps to override the control scheme for headsets and microphones, compatibility with Android is more app dependent than phone dependent.

The volume buttons work with any setup, even my laptop. The play/pause, back, and forward buttons work with all our phones and tablets. I know PlayerPro can override all other headset controls and customize them.

The default settings on that app work great with this speaker. Even without the player control buttons working (like on a laptop), I just use the player itself and it’s still worth having on hand. Uses: So far, we’ve taken the Rockout 2 camping and hiking, protecting my phone inside the housing and using the little clip and bungee system on the back to hang it from a tree, my frame pack, the tent, and even strapped like a little backpack to our little girl as she played on the trail (great for keeping track of her without keeping too close an eye).

I strap it to my arm while doing chores and hang it from the back door handle while gardening. Earphones hurt after awhile and headphones isolate me from people around me, like my family, so this is great when I need more sound than the built-in speakers on my portable devices (which is pretty much always).

All around, this is a fantastic accessory to mobile media centers. Charging: I use this at fairly high volumes for hours a day and typically charge about once a week. I don’t know the exact run times, but so far I’ve never gotten to the point where I “needed” to charge and just plugg it into my phone’s USB charger (sweet!) whenever I remember to and it has worked for me.

That’s a fresh experience compared to all my other electronics where the first thing I have to do when I get to work or back home is plug it in. On our camping trip, we had the Rockout playing music and as the audio for a movie on our tablet for most of one night, then plugged it into a Nomad 7 the next morning and had it playing all day and into the next night without ever getting to the end of its charge.

One last thing about this speaker is that it looks and feels very robust and very cool. I’m pretty careful with my electronics, but some people in my family aren’t. Not only did it make it through a lot of abuse with a bunch of kids in the wilderness while camping, it protected my phone inside a pretty rugged housing.

I don’t care as much about looks either, but if my wife appreciates the looks of an electronic gadget enough to comment on it, you know it looks good. Now I just want to get another one so I can chain them together for double the sound.

The battery life is great and it took a bit longer than they say on the description (2 hours), but not more than 3 hours. The solar panel charges even at low sunlight, in any amount of daylight, the blue led on back flashes meaning it is charging while playing.

Sony does not allow charging while playing. The sound is not the loudest but very descent for a solar battery product and sometimes the Bluetooth can be touchy. The look is cool and the color I got is particularly futuristic (teal).

My only issue is that it is tight to do anything with the back sleeves (that the cord goes through), as they are very wide and awkwardly set. That’s why I’m giving it 4 stars, but otherwise a great product.

Got this about 4 days after I ordered regular shipping. Was impressed. Like other have stated when the plug in cord is moved around there can be some static or scratchy noise. Usually just occurs when getting it all set up and ready to go.

I haven’t taken it out yet in the field but it is small enough to pack on any backpacking trip and weighs minimal, was kind of hoping it would weigh less but it’s really not a big deal. Haven’t tested the battery life yet but for sound I don’t think you can find better for same price and size.

You don’t get a big bass sound but all around it is very respectable. Let’s be real no. One buys this for bass anyways. I do enjoy the fact it zippers apart and you can stuff your mp3 player or phone size related items into the zipper compartment.

I had purchased a pair of Polk Atrium 4 speakers. I had them for about 5 years, and one of the speakers stopped working. The 4’s were ok, but I have a big backyard and I was probably pushing too much wattage in them from my receiver.

I bought the 5’s and could immediately hear the difference. Bass is thicker and fills the space of my yard better.

Nicely designed, very easy to install and the sound is great. I have a pair installed putdoor for almost 2 years now, and they perform as new, without any ambient influence- no corrossion, no wear. I just bought another pair for indoor install.

I used an already exeisting holes, and it took me 10 minutes to install it. Again- the sound is excellent.

I had Polk Audio Bookshelf Speakers years ago and needed something to install in my garage. I looked at both Polk Audio and another brand that was getting good reviews. I went with a pair of Polk Audio Atrium 8SDI’s.

I could not be happier. I am powering the pair with a Sony STR-DH190 and have sound that makes my days in the garage much happier. The Balance of treble and base is perfect for what I need. If you are looking for a pair of speakers that you can mount out of the way that put out an excellent sound for the money, get these.

I just purchased 6 of these for my backyard. They sound great u have to buy 1 at a time but thats cause it has dually mode. U don’t even need bass subs I got 2 just because I’m a bass head. I set mine up single mode since I have 6.

I might be partial since I have 56 Polk speakers so u can say my whole house is a SOUND UNITED HOME inside and out. Got my eye on the new reserve set now. Its great they came out with 2 new series of home speakers.

To me there bullet proof they just keep on sounding good. Keep up the great work Polk. Highly recamend Polk speakers they have a set for all ages and price ranges.

Put Atrium 5’s at the last house, were fantastic, but left wanting a bit more bass. These are great at the new place, no complaints. They are a bit bigger but work perfectly for our space. If you have the room, would highly recommend.

I have used many Bluetooth speakers over the years and the VG5 has a lot of features that are a must. First the speaker has to be super weather resistant to go anywhere I need to take it. The fact that the speaker is waterproof is nice and it does last a long time on a single charge.

But to me the sound quality is the most important feature because if it doesn’t sound good, I wont’ use it. For a smaller speaker, the bass is very impressive as well. You could spend a little less money, but I feel the overall build and features make this speaker a great choice.

Great piece of equipment, sound is reasonable for the price paid. Added bonus in that this acts as a power pack, in order to charge a mobile device and looks good too. This would have received 5 Stars, however, in the description is stated the device could be immersed in water, to a depth of 1.

5mtrs, for 30mins. Which is what attracted me to it, for my Son, a surfer. This device conforms to IPX-6 and it would need to be IPX-7 for it to meet the waterproof requirements, as advertised!! I did write to Aldi, though disappointingly, heard nothing back from them! Notwithstanding this, it remains a good device and I don’t think Aldi intentionally misled, possibly an advertising error?.

Yes this is a solid and robust speaker. Yes it looks beautiful and yes it’s loud enough. However, the sound quality is not up there. It’s too much base orientated with poor quality on the high frequency range.

Hence, you will hear the base guitars very loud but other sounds are in the background. Women’s voices can be on the men’s side. Seems to me it’s not well equalized. I cannot recommend it for sounds purity.

Sounds OK for what it is, but using it to charge a phone, didn’t even half charge my pixel 4 XL, my old battery bank holds more charge than this. Also, it says dual USB charging points to charge 2 items at the same time.

There’s one USB port so that’s impossible. Can’t say how long it lasts when using it as a speaker as I haven’t ran it constantly. Also haven’t had it trained in so can’t comment on the fact it’s meant to be waterproof.

Connects to Bluetooth easy. No easy I would pay the 200 they want on the vheo website for this.

I received this as a gift and couldn’t be happier! The battery stays charged for a long time, the volume goes up loud enough for me to hear even with bad hearing, and I have even used the flashlight already to read a label that was inside a heater and hard to see.

I can’t comment on the water resistance as I have not used it outside yet. The only down side would be the sound quality could be better, but usually that is seen more with super high end speakers so I wouldn’t expect it out of this one.

This speaker stays next to my machines while I work and I can control it with my phone so I can listen to podcasts and you tube videos all day while I work.

Well designed, a power bank to charge your phone and the lantern feature works great for camping. Good bass for a small speaker too! I wish the volume buttons were stand alone instead of multifunction, but still a great bluetooth speaker for the size and price.

For the price I feel I got a great deal on a good product. I recently bought 3 different pairs of indoor/outdoor speakers. These are my favorite and are used everyday. They were shipped very fast and the price was the lowest that I have seen anywhere.

The sound at high volume is not perfect but clearer and more crisp than any of the 3 pairs I bought(these being the cheapest). I will be buying another set for my deck area this summer. Do not hesitate when buying these speakers!.

These are great sounding with a lot of power. I have them in my garage hooked up to a 2000’s home stereo system. These speakers can take the power without distortion and have a clean sound. They mounted easily to the wall.

I highly recommend these speakers. Excellent price too.

I got these speakers for under my screened porch (over my Jacuzzi) I got a used receiver (Sony) and installed them pointing down. I did not expect the sound quality to be as good for what they were (for as little as I paid).

The sound is better then both my surrond sound systems in my house. If your looking for a basic indoor/outdoor speaker withot a known name this is the way to go. Oh ya the shipping was free, and it showed up ground in 3 days.

We have owned these speakers for several years. One of them just went out. That’s not good, but it is several years old. So we bought a new set, using one to replace the one that went out and keeping one as a backup.

We love the sound quality, and they pair well with our other Bose components.

The speakers are small, but efficient, and have a fairly natural sound. I wish that the sound would blend into the background a bit more, but that’s asking a lot. I also think the mounting bracket could be better designed, but it works well enough.

Finally, the connector posts look like they are at the standard width for banana plug pairs, but they are not. They are about two millimeters wider than the standard. As a consequence you can’t use the standard banana plug connector pairs.

This probably isn’t that much of a fault because in most applications,, the connector would stick out too far and hit the mounting bracket anyway.

The clear, crisp sound immerses you into the music and outdoors with the amazing speakers. The Bose quality we have come to know is simply at its best. The sound quality doesnt fail to impress no matter where you are listening from.

Deep rich tones and a an excellent balance of the left and right speakers makes you feel like your in the middle of a concert hall with sound coming from every direction.
