18 Best Outdoor Ultrasonic Pest Repeller (2022 Updated)

Walmart I purchased these ultrasonic animal repellants because every year we plant a garden and every year we deal with pests, namely rabbits and raccoons. They ravage around our yard and devour the delicacy of our garden.

We have done everything from spraying to electric fences. We saw an advertisement for ultrasonic and thought we would give it a try. We purchased these because we liked the idea of just simply putting them in the ground and forgetting about them.

Because they are solar powered, we don’t have to deal with posts and wires for electric fences. It took less than 5 minutes to set up and worked within 25 days. I’ll update later in regards to how they fared during the rest of the summer.

Did not work for me. I live in Arizona and have lots of sun to charge this device. No matter how much the plug in or sun charged this, it would only turn on at night if i was within 1 foot of it. I tried multiple settings.

I tried reading reviews for tips and tricks. I even exchanged it for another device and I got the same results. I have no idea how other people rated this device so well. Unless they did not accurately test this before leaving review OR I just happened to get 2 duds.

I definitely got my money back for this.

Victor Pest makes great rodent problems solved. This ultrasonic driven device wards off the creatures from even thinking to make access to the room. I have been using these for ten years at six remote cabins and hilltop radio sites.

No rodent has settled in at any of them. Make sure the device is unabstructed by any furniture or other solid that would deflect the sound wave. The 3speaker one will cover 500 sq. ft. They have lasted about 5 years of 24 hours all year long use.

Some are going on 6 years now. When red light stops flashing inside the speaker grill, there dead.

I’m not sure if these items work at repelling rodents as I intended. but they sure repel my kids when they are turned on. The noise irritates them so badly that I can’t use them as anticipated. Either way, they arrived on time.

I got rats inside, yuk! Old fashioned traps werent working completely to catch the rats. This TBI ultrasonic electromagnetic pest repeller device worked, i think w/in a week! All rats disappeared! Even tho instructions say, i think, can take up to 2 wks to work.

However: I ordered 2 units. 1 arrived defective. A green.

We heard a rodent gnawing in our walls. My husband couldn’t hear it, but I could. The night that I plugged in the two Ultrasonic Pest Repellers, there was almost immediately a frantic noise from our walls that my husband even with being a little hard of hearing could hear.

It was very noticeable. We heard that for a couple of days like whatever it was (mouse or squirrel) was frantically trying to gnaw himself out. Then we didn’t hear anything for a few.

it works well and fast I started to see a big difference by the second week and by the third week we were free of Mosquito bites and had no mice getting into the house. I researched this product well before I bought it is well worth the money I am glad that I did not buy the cheaper brands of this kind of product.

I was hesitant to spend that much money on something that I could find cheaper In a different brand. but I’m glad I didn’t. I would recommend this product especially for rodents.

A squirrel was entering our attic and getting inside the external wall of my daughter’s bedroom. Although we never saw the squirrel, we heard it scratching quite often, especially late in the evening and early in the morning.

Finding a way to plug in the device in the attic was a bit of a problem (I had to replace the single bulb fixture with a fixture with a outlet plug). As soon as I turned the device on, we heard scampering, then silence.

I placed the device as close to the problem area as possible. I was bit doubtful, since I have quite a bit of insulation on the attic floor, so the sound waves have to penetrate the insulation and then go to the wall below the attic floor.

Nonetheless, It has been about 6 weeks and we have not heard the squirrel since. We are very happen. We do not hear the device, nor does it bother our pet rabbits (admittedly they are several floors below the attic as we live in a tall urban rowhouse).

It really works! I have chipmunks living near my generator. A big hole was dug about 2 feet from it. I was concerned about damage. So I tried various remedies. Filled the hole with cayenne pepper, filled in the hole, sprinkled the cayenne pepper over the area.

3 days later, the hole was back. I did the same with Peppermint. Same result. Went to buy an over the counter spray at the hardware store. It smelled awful. I was sure this would do it. Same result. Poured a gallon of white vinegar down the hole.

Same result. Bought moth balls to fill in the hole. Same result. The most they would not re-dig their hole was 3 days. I bought this product. Day 6 – NO HOLE! Very, very pleased!.

I have one plugged in by my front door. Also put another in the garage when we noticed some rodent activity in the area due to some construction. I’ve seen one rat – it approached the back of the house and turned around and went back the way it came.

One did get up to the house when we had a heavy snow storm and died directly under the unit. Not a fun thing to find but it probably couldn’t find it’s way out. Who knows how these things think. No activity in the garage.

I have used these solar mole deterrents for a few weeks now. I have placed them in 4 areas of my front yard. They emit a low sound that is not annoying to people, but seems to be working on the mole problem I have.

I used to see where moles would cause upraised trails all over my yard. I placed two on one side (spaced out) beside my driveway and two on the other side (spaced out). I know they are helping because I’ve barely seen any activity in the yard now.

The only places I have seen any mole activity are a good distance away from these devices and that activity has been minimal (may need one more for front yard). I have almost an acre-sized yard so I will need to order a few more of these to protect my back yard, also.

So far, I feel that they are worth the money!.

We live in an area that has a lot of woods and water sources including a 6 acre pond. There are always moles, voles, and snakes in the area. Since we got these mole repellent stakes, we have noticed a great difference in the amount of mole and vole activity and have seen NO snakes.

We overlapped the stakes for maximum coverage, and are thrilled. Our neighbors used another product and they stopped working when the water leaked into the stakes circuitry. We have had no issues with leakage and batteries have lasted almost two months.

We are very happy with the product.

After a now very well fed groundhog devoured all the cauliflower and Brussel sprouts in my garden, I purchased the Solar Mole repeller stakes. The pest returned once on the 1st day after placing them in the garden and hasn’t been seen since! I am thrilled with this product and plan purchase more for the mole problem we have at our vacation home.

Easy to use, very affordable and worked great for me! The price of the product has been payed for many times over from all the produce we were able to eat from a now very productive ( and protected) garden! Thanks much!.

Bought four of these because of the size of my yards. One in the front got rid of the moles. One on the side yard was supposed to get rid of chipmunks. I hate chipmunks. Cute but extremely damaging to property.

It didn’t work for the munks. One in the back has protected the garden well and the fourth is going in the ground this weekend. No more moles in my yard. The job is done. Had to bury a couple to avoid tripping on them so don’t forget where you put them.

Haven’t had to change any batteries of course as I just installed them but I like that I don’t have to dig them up to change the batteries. My hound dogs don’t even know they’re there.

I put the molechaser in the ground at a tunnel and within 2 days I had 3 tunnels heading towards the fence. Problem solved. A great value at a good price. I have used this product in the past after having an exterminator out twice, bombs, traps.

none of which worked. It is easy,effective and safe for the pets. The sound doesn’t bother the cats.

I live in Palm Harbor, Florida and have spent over $300. 00 just trying to get rid of the moles. There are tunnels every where in my yard. I was very skeptical concerning this product, but decided to give them a try.

Nothing worked and I wanted something that would repel the animals, but not cause harm. I reviewed this Ultrasonic Animal Repeller and decided to try the device. I ordered 3 devices and when they arrived I set them up.

They worked perfectly! The devices would turn on using the motion detection and I soon noticed the cats modified their path to a distance further away from my house. The device did not hurt the cats and worked as advertised.

I received this product on time. It has very good quality and design. It’s very easy to set up. I bought it for rabbits and squirrels around my garden. For the first day I noticed that although I turned on the device, the animals get close to my plants so I contacted the customer service and they mentioned that the battery should get fully charged for first time use.

That was very helpful I did so and saw the perfect result. since then there are no rabbits and squirrels around my garden. I miss them but the plants are safe. The device is perfect and efficient.

We will know in a few weeks about the efficiency of these repellers are both placed upstairs facing the ceiling unblocked

So far I have not seen a whole lot of bugs or bats in the house. So it must be working. Best money I’ve spent so far

I finally bought one of these this year after contemplating switching from the Off Candles for the past couple years. They worked good but a pain the butt with the candles spilling etc. The Thermacell has so many good reviews I was really excited to try it out.

Well I am sitting at my fire as I write this and I’ve never been more disappointed. The unit is about 3 feet from me and 2 feet from my dog and we’re getting eaten alive 😐 Tried different pad, fuel cannister and nothing.

I think I’m going to purchase another just in case mine is defective. There are so many good reviews it just doesn’t make sense to me.

Bought one for my cousin during the Calgary Stampede, based on a friend’s recommendation, and it worked 100% after being eaten alive the evening before! Bought 2 more for myself and LOVE them. No more irritating visits on my deck next to the pond.

I had no problem registering them in Canada. If it is windy, it has to be upwind, but you will get less coverage. Impossible for mosquitos to be landing on the device, as the repellent works like a charm, and the top gets quite hot.

I think some people forget to read the instructions, and don’t know how to use it! I highly recommend it!.

I was surprised at how well this actually works. Once turned on, it takes about 20 mins or so to really start working. We use it on our decks at the camp and it makes quite a difference with the large numbers of mosquitoes we’re having this year.

Even with bug spray in we would not sit outside without it. You need to make sure you change the blue pads on top when they turn white, and check the butane levels after it’s been on for a night or two.

I also bought the large refil pack at Canadian Tire so we can continue to enjoy our decks. I would recommend this product.

Some creatures were making tunnels in our garden and front yard. It killed a couple of the flower plants maybe by eating the roots (we are not entirely certain on this), and the tunnels also caused our newly planted trees lopsided.

We pre-drilled holes and installed all 8 of these throughout. It has been 2 weeks and haven’t seen any new tunnels and new damage. Hope the creatures are gone for good! Oh, and we experienced a couple of thunderstorm with heavy rain recently, and the devices are still working well.

I installed these last week. So far I have not seen any rodent activity but it’s still early. My biggest complaint is the constant beeping. I installed as directed and they beep non-stop, every 20-30 seconds.

I emailed the company and they stated that this is normal and means they are working. I was told to try to put them further onto the ground to minimize the noise. When doing this, one of them cracked.

These are very small, smaller than I thought, but they are very cute! If you like this sort of thing. The candles dont have the strongest scent in all of them but some you know what they are before looking.

They are in a very sweet wooden box, and theyve added a small flower on the tie which finishes it off perfectly. Theyd make great Christmas/ Birthday present, but left as a pack, not broken down to singles as I have done.

Altogether I bought three sets, and I have a lot of fragrances in the total count. Im using them for a do were planning and theyre perfect fit for the trinket bags Im making to thank guests for attending.

I know Im going to be asked where I got them from,!! I didnt put a review in earlier because I didnt want them to be sold out when I knew Id be needing more!!.

Fast delivery (good seller). Device seems to work perfectly. Can’t hear the ultrasonic screeching (obviously) but the LEDs flash brightly when I walk across the yard day or night. Must be effective as I have not seen any mountain lions, tigers or bears in my back yard since installing the device.

Used to keep deer out of the monkey-grass, please don’t expect the solar componet to keep the unit charged, mine came with a charger plugged into my USB to keep the 3 alkaline batteries charged, every couple wks or so.

The distinctive “click” and the red light on the unit lets you know its working when you pass by it. -Wes J.
