Since cabinets are made from MDF, (pressed cardboard)they are easily dented and will also fall apart if they ever get wet. Not very roadworthy. Since there is no insulation in the cabinets to dampen vibration from the backside of the woofer, these will also vibrate so much that the grill will buzz and eventually, mounting screws will loosen.

To remedy this, I removed the handles and stuffed 20oz of poly fiberfill into each cabinet. I then removed screws from grill, handles, woofer and jack plate; applied glue to screws and put them back in.

Now for the crossover. There isn’t one. There are two resisters which act to restrict power going to the mid-horn and the piezo bullet tweeters; but there is nothing to cross the frequencies over from one driver to another.

So the full audio spectrum from the input jacks is fed to all drivers, requiring constant EQ tweaking as power is applied. Basically; these are fine for general PA work for beginners. But these are not for serious pro sound applications.

They will suit my purpose of something I can loan out to friends and family when I am not available to take my pro sound equipment.

I was blown away by the speakers that they actually used in the box I like the way they have they hit the notes clear and decisive good value for the price I couldnt believe, Ive had $2500 floor monitors that crapped out you know three weeks after playing them guess what Im getting at is that if you buy something and it breaks thats why you pay for a little bit of warranty just because you might not wanna go through the warranty process well let me tell you they dont build things with the adage of staying around forever and somethings go wrong its not like when they did things the way they did back in the 50s and 60s that still are working so dont ever judge a book by its cover you have to put it through the chest and if it survives the test? Its now up to you so dont criticize before you buy its too bad you cant try before you bye but I have to put my trust in Rockville because I had to have some of their older products back in the day they know what the way they want it to sound how they wanna package it and put it together and they work well do I recommend Im sure if you already have stands then youre good to go but I would recommend this package that came with the stands the bag that carries the stands is awesome well built the speakers handle well with the handles on the sides in the back inside to the box or cut it angles that in my opinion put out a great rebounds in the sound frequencies within the box and if you want you can put your some feet on the sides and you can use them as a monitor, but it does have a little feet on the bottom so you can set them up right on the ground if you have to the stands are durable built well and heavy so get you the the package that contains the speakers and the stands and if you cant afford it well I would wait until you get the few extra bucks to get the package with the stands while you can because their price is absolutely phenomenal I was blown away Ive been in sound and music my whole life and Im 59 getting back into the swing of things so take a chance and push that button right now and say yes to Rockville and youll be glad you did.

So after purchasing the speakers one of the band mates blew the fuse to them. So I contacted American music supply, and they put me in charge of the head tech to answer questions about if changing it myself would break the warranty.

They told me it would, but the speaker has a 3 everything included warranty from Mackie. Contacted Mackie found an authorized repair person and just dropped it off. Outside of the amazing warranty the speakers sound great, even for metal vocals that struggle to be heard over the instruments.

The vocals sound super clean.

I purchased a pair of these bad boys in February to use on top of my subs for medium to large DJ gugs and also with my loud rock band. Unfortunately Covid-19 hit before I had a chance to gig them. I still made good use out of them by watching movies on my projector and running the sound through the PA system and sound and clarity from the Mackie DRM’s is amazing.

Felt like I was in a theater. I finally was able to use them got 2 recent weddings and they are great! Huge upgrade to my previous passive 2 way speakers and makes setup time quicker. I received several compliments on the sound quality and power.

I was pushing them pretty hard towards the end of the night and they didn’t break a sweat. I haven’t been able to use them with my band yet but I know they will be killer! Shout out to AMS for great customer service with payment plan options.

Overall: I bought a scratch and dent one. I love the sound and it really gets loud and clear but it’s was rattling at really lower hz. I tried everything and realize it was Damaged. When I got it the box was beat to all hell.

Let zZounds know. No problem,got a return label. But I decided to go wit QSC the newer one and believe me beside of the rattling the Mackie is very close and you can save $400. So I’m definitely going to get drm again but with COVID-19 Business was down to a holt.

It’s picking up again and getting 2 of them soon.

Just got my speaker in and WOW !!!! It sounds Great !!! This speaker get very loud and sounds excellent. I started with just one EON715 in my home gym. I wanted to hear for myself if I needed more. If I was on a budget this one speaker would be all I needed.

I will, however, be buying the subwoofer to complete my system. I plan on primarily using this system in my home gym. When we have any of our big family functions I can easily transport this system wherever we need it.

I am very happy about my purchase. The best part for me is that I can connect to the JBL speaker with my iPhone, and play music just like I’m using my UE Boom portable speaker. This is going to be very easy for my wife to use, as she doesn’t like complicated electronics.

I updated the firmware as soon as I turned on the speaker. Took about 10mins to install from the phone. FYI. The JBL iPhone App is not great. Can’t wait for the sub to come in.

While these subs present well, they are severely overrated. We were looking to add medium grade low-end to our sound systems, by adding these Eons. After testing them in our warehouse, we were disappointed.

Using them at modest volume ranges equals the clip lights triggering. In our experience, clipping aint a good thing and we are not sure how we can take them to a gig and run them without clipping them.

Bought the speakers for a large group (60+ people) and had plenty of volume for PA and background music. The mic anti-feedback thing didn’t work that well, but I was using a separate mixer and two speakers run separate.

They crank up fine and have some good base. If you love base and want your chest to pound, these are not for you. Go with 15 instead. I would say they are on the low side of 1000W, but plenty to have the neighbors call the cops.

For years in the interests of economy i have always bought entry level p. a equipment and I’m not criticizing that in any way as by and large it has served me well and there are some very good entry level items.

However I have also been aware that Mackie p. a speakers are just in a class of their own. These SRMs are 500 watts RMS (400 watts for the bass and 100 watts for the tweeter) they are active with a built in amp so the amp is matched perfectly with the speaker.

There is a switch with pre set EQ settings (for example the DJ setting boosts the bass and treble) other settings are Solo (for a solo singer with just a guitar for accompaniment) P. A (for band use) and monitor (for use as a stage monitor) the speakers can also be laid on their sides if used as stage monitors.

The combi inputs on the rear mean that you can use XLR Leads or quarter inch jack leads and either type will fit. There are two of these inputs which means that even without a mixing desk you can have two microphones connected to one speaker or for example for a gig in a small venue you could plug a guitar in to one input and a microphone in to the other.

The speakers can be mounted on stands if desired. The cabinets are made from extremely strong plastic that doesn’t break. There are also phono connecters on the rear panel that would enable you to connect for example an mp3 player.

If your connecting the outputs of a mixing desk to the speakers its very important to set the gain knob to “line” as this will ensure the absolutely best possible sound quality. There is an output on each speaker that enables you to send the speakers output signal to another device if desired (for example the input of a power amp) These speakers sound amazing with truly excellent bass response and great clarity on high and mid frequencies too and the quality does not diminish when the sound is turned up very loud either.

If the speaker is within your price bracket then purchase it without hesitation. It truly is an excellent speaker.

I have been through 2 of these trying to use them with my Line 6 helix floor. The first one kept tripping “protect mode 4” which required me to play a test tone for the speaker to produce sound again.

I tried everything including all presets, mic and line level inputs matched to helix outputs. At each configuration I ensured that the setup was proper. I have used the helix with other speakers, including headrush, Yamaha and EV.

The k10. 2 sounded great but would continually fail. I returned it and GC sent another, same issue again. This occurred at relatively low practice volumes playing mostly clean, no audio clipping from the helix and the gain on the k10.

2 at 0. I’m extremely disappointed and could not recommend this product to anyone. I originally purchased in August, it was back ordered and I received the first one in late October/Early November. I ended up returning it as I could not play it more than an hour before failure.

Second one came from GC, same issue but this time I contacted QSC, did factory reset and reinstalled firmware. The issue persists. I will be returning this one as well and looking for another solution.

To add insult to injury, this item has increased in price by $200, along with all comparable speakers, since I originally purchased. Therefore I can’t get a similar product for anywhere near the price I originally paid for what appears to be a defective line of speakers.

BEFORE YOU BUY, GOOGLE “K10. 2 PROTECT MODE 4” Buyer beware, this is an unreliable sound reinforcement solution.

Purchased first in may then a second unit in 08/22. The second one works of and on, reset many time to get it to work now northing. Tried calling QSC support and tried to work with their suggestions (even updated) both units had current and most recent updates.

QSC will repair under warranty but because of the delay in parts production (yes China) parts are hard to get and have faulty components(which complicates thing even more). You want to get this retailer to help ? GOOD LUCK ! all you will get is a condescending email from some dropout behind a desk.

For now I will fix these expensive(somewhat) boat anchors and attempt to dump them on some other fish. I don’t have much confidence with a retailer unwilling to take the punch from a manufacturer and allow the customer to have a bad experience.

So much for service after the sale.

We must have waited for what seemed like forever to get our hands on one of these. Once it was back in stock we snatched one up. The sound is phenomenal. The build quality is phenomenal. The features are phenomenal.

It has significant weight to it which makes it not feel cheap and plasticky. We were going to get a JBL until an acquaintance told us about QSC. We are soo glad we splurged on the 12 model because it will handle a number of different uses.

Karaoke and DJ’ing for parties, Public Speaking, a monitor for musical performance and also streaming audio for entertainment. Its a beautiful speaker and feels sturdy and secure when held by the handles.

The handles are also amazing. The whole thing was well thought out and brilliantly designed. It really is beautiful.

Bought these for a second site as a church so budget was limited, smaller room catering to about 60-80 people. Sound quality has been great, really nice low noise floor which could have been a real problem if you’re in a more intimate setting.

Absolutey get what you pay for and, to be honest, would have liked to have a bit more to spend, but temper your expectations and you won’t be dissapointed. Running these alongside a Behringer XENYX X1832USB and has been great.

Portability wasn’t a concern for us but if you’re looking for something light these are ridiclously easy to carry!.

I brought this as I don’t want want to lug my amp all over the place so I can leave the speaker at the rehearsal room and use my Boss multi effects unit. My fx unit plugs straight into the speaker or into the mixing desk and then the speaker is used a wedge.

It’s a really good sound and very light weight. The only feedback is that the packaging is not recyclable as there is a lot of polystyrene glued to cardboard. Alto need to get rid the the polystyrene!.

I bought four of these (two for mains and two for monitors) because they were significantly lighter than *any* other 8 or 10 powered speakers and had better specs (power, response, etc. ) than almost all other 10 powered speakers at *any* price.

I just used them for six vocalists (at once) at an outdoor picnic and they were as clear as studio monitors, even when turned up loud – both the musicians and the audience were delighted. My new favorite powered speakers.

A confusing and frustrating PRX Connect app knocks a star off an otherwise great sounding speaker. I was ready to repack these bad boys and return them, but a cooler head prevailed and I dug deep into how to make the PRX Connect work.

You will need a router in order for it (PRX Connect) to work or you will be left with a speaker that isn’t properly EQ’ed and will leave it sounding flat. What even makes it more frustrating is that the app isn’t compatible for cellphones, but work on either iOS or Android tablets.

they need to make it where it works with cellphones as well, then this will be a 5 star product. The goods of these speakers are that they are very capable of reaching clear and high volumes when set up properly.

They can get very touchy when not set accordingly to your equipment and will trigger the clip light. Great looking and professional design. You can use it as a stage monitor (horizontally) or on speaker stands vertically.

I like that it has two positions for the speaker pole to mount into, either the speaker sits straight or slightly angled down. I used a pair of these and an EV ELX200-18SP sub and it sounded solid! The guests loved it, but those that sat closer to the speakers say that it was at times a bit too loud.

The only con I can think of is that these things have a good amount of weight behind them. What do you expect from wood cabinet speakers. Over all these speakers are excellent for any genre of music.

I cannot comment on how they sound with electric instruments. If you have the available funds, these are great entry/intermediate level speakers.

Used this for FOH Vocal setup. After many comparison for vocal specific to Turbo Sound IQ, QSC, Yamaha, JBL SRX, I finally get a pair of these based on sound/price ratio and for my purpose of used this as a vocal purely or acoustic guitars.

I have been go back and forth between the PRX812 versus SRX812 or SRX815 (Even thought I already have SRX835P). For listening music, these PRX812 are loud and prominent with mid range, and vocal always stand out.

For live band, I route mixer Aux to a separate pair of PRX for FOH for vocal, since these PRX has excellent mid range and vocal very clear and very loud. A/B with many different brand for live microphone usage, and this JBL PRX812 always has the best live vocal The 12′ driver, and the tiny HF 2408H-2 are surprisingly good for live vocal or mid range.

With built in DBX limiter type 4, I always have a feeling the vocal jump out in front all the time – that is very good. Where as many other will push the vocal back. Also using the download App, with a turn on sw of the app it will makes the mid range/vocal more clear and stay in front of speaker.

To convince myself using PRX812 for vocal instead buying the SRX812 (I also have SRX835 already), I attempt to replace factory the tiny 1″ exit HF 2408H-2 with a larger Selenium D220-Ti (1. 75 Voice Coil) , or RCF ND850 1.

4″ , RCF ND2530 exit throat (Voice coil 2. 5), and other 2″ exit throat with 3″ voice coil, but none of replacements produce any benefit, therefore the factory HF still the best for both mid range and extend HF beyond 15K.

I currently own a set of Mackie SRM 350 V3’s, and I’m very happy with them. I’m a dj and I’m trying to downsize my system and make it more compact, but loud and not compromise the sound. So I’ve been using my Mackie’s with my Yamaha DXS12 MKII sub, and it works great, but the spl’s on the Mackie’s we’re insufficient for some of my larger venues.

I decided to go with the DBR10’s cause I’ve noticed the specs for the frequency response were close enough, but what caught my attention was the 129db max spl! So I bought a pair, great job on shipping time B&H, and once I hooked them up and began to crank them, I was blown away by the sound quality, but especially how loud and transparent they sounded! Very pristine and accurate sound like my RCF’s, but not at RCF prices, lol! I’ve been djing 40 years and I’ve been thru many brands of speakers, these Yamaha DBR10’s are now my favorite! Compact, loud, but very clear! They can be used without a sub for small venues and rock them! With my Yamaha sub, forget about it! They are a perfect match, and they all fit in my trunk! I highly recommend them!.

For the price, this speaker is a great choice. The DBR10 has very bright & clear mid range when using the FOH/main DSP setting. This setting also has has some low end boost. I would recommend using the DBR10 paired with a Yamaha sub bass for a complete full range system The speaker cab is plastic and not as robust as DXR range.

However, this is not a deal breaker. In reality it is lightweight , looks tidy and a low cost cover will stop scratches. I bought 6 of the DBR10 to use for background music at weddings. They do the job and more.

The high pass filters were great for this purpose as it reduces unwanted low rumble and they performed brilliantly for vocal mic when used for speaches / ceremony. Would I recommend ? Yes. DBR10 is perfect for people wanting quality clear sound but working within a budget.

I bought a pair of these DBR12 speakers to use for occasional DJing and band use, as well as listening to music at my house since I like loud music. After doing research on several other brands of PA speakers of similar size and power, it just made so much more sense to get the Yamaha, especially since I know how good Yamaha is with basically everything they make and I’ve had great experiences with their products.

My first impression after unboxing was that they are very visually appealing and well constructed, and have a very nice weight to them. Let’s just say I was blown away at the volume and sound quality these things have when I listened for the first time! I was able to turn the volume all the way up with no distortion or clipping whatsoever and they took it like it was nothing, I wouldn’t be concerned about doing it for hours straight.

Another thing I like is that they have cooling fans in the amplifiers to keep them cool which is nice if you use them outside or for a very long time. For the price, there’s no way you’ll find a better speaker, and I would 100% recommend without hesitation, you won’t be disappointed with these Yamaha speakers.

Another thing to mention is that I have had a lot of experience using DBR10s as well, and think they are excellent especially for their size and price. They are actually what turned me on to the DBR series and I knew from using those that the DBR12s wouldn’t disappoint me.

We needed to provide a sound system for the wedding reception dinner to announce the wedding party, play some dinner music and music for the traditional dances. It needed to simple to operate and setup and very compact because of space limitation.

This nailed it. We ran the play list from a phone, connected a mike to announce the wedding party (with background music still playing) and loud enough for some dancing. We had a full DJ sound system and dance floor in another area of the venue for some really loud thumping music later that this one speaker could not accomplish, but it sure worked well for dinner.

When you look at the size of this powered speaker, it looks impressive. However, when you power it on, you realize the low price equals low quality. At just over the halfway mark, the volume distorts and the clipping light flashes.

The maximum size USB drive that can be used for prerecorded music is 32 GB. The mp3 function works well using a USB thumb drive. You can play files in order or random, but the random function only plays a handful of songs over and over and not all the files on the thumb drive.

I have not tried the Bluetooth feature, so I cannot comment on that. For its size, the speaker should be louder and pack more bass before clipping.

Well, I put this single unit to the test within the past two weeks. I covered a bingo fundraiser consisting of 130 women in a 50 x 110 gym with a cathedral ceiling. This unit has the power but trying to achieve more volume on the higher end was a challenge.

Low end is not a problem. I did achieve the sound I needed though. As with any speaker setup be sure you are distanced behind the speaker with your microphone. This unit is very sensitive to feedback if to close.

Bluetooth works as described. This unit is well built. My recommendation would be any indoor venue larger than what I have mentioned, would be to add a second speaker and include some speaker stands to go with them.

People always say something in reviews “good product for the the money ” I am saying ” these speakers sound great for any money period” I am 63 years old and been using PA systems for almost 50 years.

I have and have had high dollar and cheap speakers over the years. The SA 12 premium speakers sound as good as any period. Can’t say at this point how the longevity will be but the build quality looks to be very good.

It appears that the designers did a good job on a build that would last but not an overkill so they could inflate the price. If you buy these I don’t think you will be disappointed. We use these speakers for Christian retro rock / blues.

Bought these to run my rack mount guitar rig through. I have swapped from the traditional amp and cabs to mixer/floor fx w/amp modeling and a XLS 1502 Crown amplifier and these cabs worked beautifully.

Plenty of volume and nice clarity even at high volume. These are easily worth double the price and as long as Seismic keeps up this quality, I will keep buying more of their stuff.

A bit of a different use case here. Weve got a several acre backyard, with one large area specifically getting a lot of fun outdoor activity. While I used to DJ many years ago, I dont have this type of gear any longer, and attempted to use a JBL Extreme or JBL Partybox to meet our outdoor party music needs, but neither could handle the need.

The JBL extreme speakers started barking from being pushed too hard, and the Partybox simply cannot properly fill the space as we want either. The EON One looked interesting, though I did want something that could reach further.

I liked the idea of streaming audio Bluetooth capability of the EON One, but I ended up opting for the EON610 since it was cheaper, and I felt this model would have enough volume, punch and ability to fill out space with sound.

I checked other model speakers with notably lower price tags, but since in the past Ive had several other JBL speakers including previous EON series speakers, I felt confident in buying the EON610. The EON610 doesnt disappoint, the lows of the EON610 are perfectly adequate for our audio needs, the highs are crisp, and the EON610 easily fills our outdoor space with plenty of sound, without needing to max out the built-in amp, or nearing any limits, unlike smaller units.

Granted I did need tobuy a small 4-channel mixer with the streaming Bluetooth audio capability that we wanted. I wouldnt have done anything differently if I had another chance.

These speakers sound amazing if you can keep the fuse from blowing. I’ve had these for five years now and each speaker has failed multiple times. I first had to replace the amp on one unit, then the next unit, then a year later, both units.

So after spending $550 for each speaker, i’ve also spent another $250 for each amp repair and i’ve done FOUR!!! that’s $2100 i’ve put into these and guess what. less than 9 months after the entire amp was replaced on both units with a new one from the factory THEY HAVE BOTH FAILED AGAIN! i’m not willing to pay another $500 to repair these speakers again.

I will either learn how to replace the fuse myself or get rid of the units. Excellent performance when working, but overall more of a headache than they’re worth due to the fuse design.

first off i will say that this works. but one major problem with this is that there are loose parts inside. when im carrying the speaker, there is a rattling noise and i could feel something moving inside.

This is definitely not normal, as I have another JBL 510 eon that i had bought previously, and that one makes no such noise. The loose items inside will probably lead to short circuiting inside some time soon and possibly cause problems in the middle of a performance, which would be unacceptable.

Secondly, the rattling is audible when the speaker is played at high volumes, which diminishes the listening experience for my audiences. Additionally, this implicates that either there was a manufacturing defect or that this item was tampered with by the previous owner.

Whichever is the case, this shows that ProAudioStar is lax and untrustworthy with their quality control of used products. As the Shipping/Return policy states, “Items that can not be returned include:

units with contents that are damaged/missing. ” This speaker with the loose/broken insides would clearly be considered as such. I took a gamble in purchasing from a website i was not acquainted with, and I was disappointed in such.

It’s not like there were cosmetic defects such as scuffs and scratches, which wouldve been tolerable, as those do not affect product longevity or performance, but internal damage that will be a problem in the near future is unacceptable.

The fact that returns are not allowed for used items shows that there is a possibility that your company was trying to screw people over with those. If i had known more about this company’s inadequacy, I wouldve paid for a new product at amazon or sweetwater.

And even if you people at proaudiostar offer to replace the speaker, this lack if quality control led a huge waste of my time having to write out my complaint, and returning the speaker would be a bigger waste of the precious little free time i have not working.

Brilliant quality 10 speaker, loud, powerful and portable. Great as a monitor and as a small PA speaker when needed. Also has DSP that adjusts the tone and bass response depending on how it will be used, and multiple connections so can be used as a mini mixer if needed.

DXR10 versus DXR12 I own the DXR10 and the DXR12. I don’t understand the specs, as they are very nearly identical. There is only 1 dB max difference. However, The DXR12 is sound considerably “fuller” in its capability.

This goes to show how little the specs actually tell you. The DXR12 easily keeps up with a dual-18 sub. The DXR10, gets loud, and sounds very good all the way to full output, but after that, it just doesn’t get louder and cannot match the output of a dual-18 sub.

They use the same HF driver and the same power. The difference is the 2. 5″ voice coil on the 12″ and a different crossover point. The DXR12 is way more powerful sounding. The difference in weight is offset by the dual side handles in the DXR12 that make it very easy to set on a pole or stand.

The DXR10 is lighter, but only has a top handle that is not usable when placing it on a stand. If I had it to do over, I would have bought the DXR12 first. The DXR10 still has its uses for smaller shows, or when you need to cover another room off to the side of the mains.

I am very satisfied with the DXR12.

The concern was whether these would be as crisp as Yamaha makes out on their website but these sound amazingly clear and the DSP makes it really easy to setup for FOH or as a monitor. For the size they aren’t too heavy and they give a lot of punch.

We use it primarily for church with a congregation size up to 150 people and the whole band comes through really clean. We’ve had compliments about the sound quality.

I’ve been a DJ and KJ for over 27 years. In that time I’ve found some pretty decent deals on audio equipment. And so I purchased two pairs of Rockville speakers from Audio Savings. Within three months the crossovers in the 12″ speakers failed.

Rendering them useless. I contacted Audio Savings and talked to a man named Ross. He promised that they were doing everything they could to get me some replacement crossovers. That runaround lasted for as long as it was under warranty.

Once Ross’ promises got us past the warranty date, I never heard from them again! If there was ever a company that epitomized the term “You get what you pay for” it’s Rockville. The crossovers in my pair of 15″ speakers failed after six months! These speakers make absolutely excellent planters! Actually, you can still use them as speakers, as long as you start looking for replacement crossovers the moment you receive them.

If you wait too long. they’ll be planters! My advise to you is: Don’t let the allure of the low price seduce you into thinking this is a good deal! Nothing these people sell is a good deal!.

I blame my experience with these more so on the costs and tribulations of the shipping process. I spent an additional $80 just to recieve these packages. I wasn’t told I would have to until weeks after the delay.

I had the items shipped to Canada btw. The speakers: they’re lightweight. Which is great for portability. However I’d rate the quality of sound 2. 5/5. The highs are stinging compared to underwhelming lows.

Those “full” lows barely come out through these speakers, so if you don’t have a sub, do not expect to shake a house, or for that matter a room with these. The mids are fine. The amplifier: I like it.

3. 5/5. It’s not incredibly strong. There were some isntances where the amplifier cut out on me for no reason, but decissed shortly after the first usage. It sends strong signals to an 18′ sub I have.

Good for the price. The stands and cords: best part of the package. 4. 5/5. They seem to be sturdy, and the chords are good quality. Good value. Cons: speakers need eq, even still lows are unerwhelming.

Requires purchase of a woofer. 2. Shipping was a headache to say the least ‘ Pros: It provides that “Dj visual appeal” to a beginner such as myself based on the stands and the general look of the products.

Good for low budget beginningers.

100% as picutred and discribed. Great for small to medium venues. A great must have if you need equipemnt and not a lot to spend. As a side note, you would be better buying this as it is a new amp vs.

going the cheap route and getting a used one. If new, you know exactly what you are getting and how it should fair. Plus it can be returned. With a used one, it’s 50/50 and no, you are not sure what you are getting or how it will work.

Having an amp go out in the middle of your paying job is not a good way to generate business so go with this unit new. Kennitics.

I recently purchased this unit to use outdoors. The unit itself is very attractive. It looks like an expensive piece. The carpeting is nice and the over all look is very clean. I am running it through a Lepai 2020A amp ($30) which is powered by a 12V 6800maH Lithium Ion rechargeable battery ($20).

It will play for 8 hours easy. I am pretty sure the speaker system is nowhere near its capability as the amp and power source are not exactly what is recommended to push this speaker. However the sound is more than adequate for tailgating, garage, or small outdoor parties where music is needed.

I have under $200 invested and have a 100% portable system that gets many compliments. I would not hesitate to buy it again.

I bought these for an annual fireworks party my friend has. In the past, I have DJed this with some OLD Marantz 10″ that I refoamed, and for the last few years some Dayton III MTMs and a Dayton 10″ Quatro sub I built.

While this setup is quite capable for this party, I have wanted to upgrade for a while. Plus, I recently sold the MTMs to my buddy, so now was the time to do it. The plan had always been to build something around Dayton 10″ or 12″ woofers.

The reason I had plenty of time before was the same reason I had no money – unemployed. Cut to this year and I am working outside the country. Money is no longer a problem but no time at all. I needed some speakers due to selling half of them and wanted to upgrade anyway.

The Thunderpros are one of the cheaper choices. My friend had some MTX subs back in the day that were pretty good, so I figured Why Not?I expected loud speakers, with passable but not great fidelity.

I also wasn’t sure about distortion if you started turning the bass up. They weren’t as loud as I expected, until my friend made me stand right in front instead of right next to. Like most Pro speakers, these are a bit more directive than home.

This made a huge difference, they were quite loud. But the thing that got me was the fidelity! Sure, they aren’t $5000 per pair or the Dayton IIIs, but the fidelity was quite good, WAY more than I was expecting.

The thing that really blew me away, though, was the power handling. These could take the output of my Behringer A500 amp and get plenty loud without a problem. I think the little distortion I heard was from the amp.

This was really incredible! I was not expecting this; I expected them to not be able to handle it if I cranked the bass. I highly recommend these speakers to anyone that is in this sort of situation.

You are basically getting speakers that get plenty loud, handle the power well, and sound quite good while doing it. A lot of cheaper Pro speakers get the volume, but have mediocre sound quality. These speakers and the A500 amp are a great pair.

I wouldn’t bother with one of the cheaper amps (look at those *RMS* watts and ignore anything else). The A500 has EXCELLENT fidelity and probably just about the right amount of power for these speakers.

My biggest regret is not getting 4 of these (or perhaps 2 more 10s).

These come in a very nice cabinet with metal corners, pole mounts, and HANDLES are super handy. Nice grille, nice appearance. Very loud, good bass, but the horn tweeters are a bit harsh, which ultimately led me to trade them for some Acesonic SP-450 karaoke speakers with 3″ paper mid/tweeters, which sound much cleaner.

Also, beware, mine were marked as 8ohm, but they are actually 4 ohm.

Excellent studio monitor speakers that will handle the full wattage and be crystal clean. It says use a minimum of 250 watts per channel, I am running a 2,000 watt 8 ohm amp and they stay crystal clear all the way up.

These are studio monitors so the sub woofer is a hard cone unlike your home speakers that have a very soft more movable cone for base. I am running a seperate 1,000 watt amp for two 12 inch subs so the balance is perfect.

The name is expected to respect the brand. With that said, JBL has made a great product in this case. The construction is well put together for the price. The sound is what you would expect from JBL.

Total studio and concert quality!! They r the best sounding speakers I’ve ever owned! I recommend them to anyone beginner or advanced.

For some reason I own 3 of these. I love them. They sound great and they are in the sweet spot for power and portability. I got these probably when they first came out and they’ve been present at every gig since.

On the practical side, the weight is back friendly at around 30lbs (I don’t know what that is in stones). They’re a bit scuffed here and there but they pretty much look new. The sound is well balanced and takes eq’ing well, the band always sounds great.

There’s even some built in digital modeling for different rooms although to be honest, we never really mess with it. In really big shows, these become our monitors. They fit in my liftback and so far they are real workhorses.

They do not have super low-end bass so possibly not the choice for DJs who like to make your intestines relocate, but for proper musicians (wink) they allow us to concentrate on playing a good show – they just work.

Bought the EV ZLX-15BT to replace 3 standard amps that I was using together for my “accordion-based” synthesizer set-up. I run a proprietary tone generator that is part of the electronic accordion (Iorio Syntara Accorgan) along with a Ketron Solton MS4 sound expander/arraanger.

On top of that is the acoustic voice of the accordion via internal mikes. The left hand drives some really deep bass, so I needed solid bass support. It was a lot of voices going through different amps with different sound characteristics.

I hooked all of the instrument “sources” to the EV speaker through a Yamaha MG10XU mixer, to help even out the tonal qua. That, combined with the tone quality of the EV has made all the difference in the world.

A really full, orchestral sound and no distortion problems with all these voices coming together, or bringing some in and out of the arrangement via expression pedals. It’s just a pleasure to play. I’m the “limiting factor” now! My previous main amp was a big Peavy KB300 that had a lot of punch (15″), but there is a significant difference in the clarity with the EV vs.

the Peavy. After hooking up the EV, I was so impressed by the sound that I thought about swapping it out for the smaller ZLX12P with the 12″ speaker instead of the 15″. I found a really great comparison video on YouTube in some shop in Canada(?) that demonstrated the sound differences of the ZLX12P (12″) and ZLX15P (15″).

VERY well done and I was immediately convinced that getting the 15″ 2-way was the right decision. Both sounded great, but the difference of power, tone and depth was apparent. Previously used the Peavey K300, a Roland KC60 and a York 100W – together.

The ZLX15BT outperforms all 3 of them on its own, hands down. The portability is a welcome change from the Peavey “horse”. My only disappointment was that the ZLX15P is apparently no longer in production.

I had to pay nearly $100 more for the ZLX15BT for blue-tooth that won’t be used. Still very happy!.

The new PRX800 series is not the same as the prior PRX series. They are using a SHARK DSP chipand the voicing is different. I have seen reviews where users enable the MIC setting so they can runthe input gains around 12 oclock and this is wrong.

If you have the MIC input setting enabled you can easilyhear clipping when you bring the mixer gains up. Run them at line level (MIC LED OFF) and run the inputgain at 3 oclock position. If you do use a microphone straight into them then of course enable MIC input.

Keep in mind these do not provide phantom power for your condenser mics so you will need external powersource for phantom powered mics. These boxes get loud. I was taken back because they do not have the typicalJBL ice pick in the forehead voicing.

They actually have a warm tone to them and this could be due to the SHARKDSP chip and processing. Cabinets are extremely well built and the cone speakers are CAST and not STAMPED metal. This is a plus in the quality of drivers over most of the competition that uses stamped frame woofers.

I think the HPF on these is very steep and I mean like 48db per octave. They roll off extremely fast past the 3dbdown point. These are not SRX but certainly are better then the prior PRX boxes. Highly recommended.

As a mobile DJ, I’m always looking for the best possible speakers, while maintaining a budget and mobility. These speakers absolutely blow my EV ELX and ZLX out of the water. The JBL connect app makes custom sound profiles a breeze.

I can honestly say that I’ve never experienced so much punch, in the 60-80 range, in a 12 inch package. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Easy ordering, fast shipping, and an amazing deal!.

Nothing wrong with this speaker at all. Sounds very good. Very happy with them. Love the punch in the low mids and most certainly love the mids and highs. Really clear. If know how to mix sound, these will deliver flawlessly.

I bought one of these speakers here at MF about 4 years ago and with this sale price, it is even less expensive now! This powered monitor is a true workhorse and it has enormous headroom. I have used this speaker in many musical applications and it has performed flawlessly.

I bought a Harbinger 4112, last year and played a Yamaha P-515 directly straight into the back of each speaker, rather than into a mixing console/board. I did a mono, one speaker comparison. The Harbinger did have better frequency response, yet was much more harsh sounding.

This Alto sounds smooth and warm and I have never needed to turn it past unity gain. This monitor is on sale right now and I can not recommend buying it, enough. The listed 1000 watts RMS are real, and the drivers can handle the power with ease.

The only point of contention is that they do scratch very easily and so I would find a good generic extra sized tote for each monitor and wrap each one with a thin blanket before placing them inside for transporting.

Highly recommend this product, especially at this very reduced sale price.

I had read a lot of reviews about the new TS series and after a LOT of research I decided to try them out. I play acoustic guitar with a looper and sing in pubs and at weddings and used to use a column PA.

This was great for ease of use and portability but I was often finding it’s limit with its volume. Instead of spending £1200 on two new columns I went with the TS310. I’m so pleased I did! They are light, no problem getting them up on stands and fit in the boot of the car.

The sound is great and I had a lot of compliments. I was worried about the bottom end but there was more than enough bass when I was playing and when playing recorded music through them. I was seriously impressed with the sound and I only had them at about 9 o’clock on the volume knob.

With a sub added I’m sure they’d be good for a small band sand bigger venues. Overall very happy with my choice.

We were looking for a small high powered monitor for our band. At present we use 6 monitors on stage and wanted to reduce the footprint. Our guitarist is using a Headrush and the sound quality is excellent and loud.

we looked at the TS308 as it is the same unit but EQed to suit multirange use ie: vocals. The unit is well made sturdy and nice to look at. We plugged a mic into our Xair aux output but instead of the 2000 watts it boasts it barely matched our Behringer FD1320 floor monitors rated at 300watts.

I would have expected a ferocious beast with more volume than I could handle, but at 3/4 volume on the unit it didn’t come close to getting me worried. Very sad as this should have been a great little unit, but instead it just cried with a whimper !!.

Upon first impressions (only used it twice so far), this speaker is amazing. I’m comparing this to my PRX612. I’ve also owned the JBL Eon G2 15-inch speaker as well. I think the 612 sounded better than the G2.

And this 710. amazing, in terms of clarity and bass response. The 600 series were kept simple in terms of inputs and features. Just an input and signal thru. I’m glad this was rectified with the 700 series.

I felt the heat sink on the 612 served me fine. Never a problem, but others complained and a fan was installed on the 700 series. Not sure how the fans perform on other 700 series speakers, but the fan is constantly on with the 710.

Not really a bad thing, but the volume of the fan is a bit noticeable if the rest of the room is quiet. Once people are around and start talking and there are other ambient noises, nobody will really notice.

The extra inputs and mixer features are great. Being able to just plug an iPod or whatever uses RCA plugs into one speaker, choose your setting on the mixer, and link the other speaker via XLR and have stereo sound is just awesome.

No outboard mixer or dual XLR cords needed. And of course dual combo XLR/TRS inputs is standard. And back to the sound, running the eq switch normal and it sounds just as good, if not better, than my 612.

Switch it to “boost” and the low end is even more pronounced. I think it has even more low end than the 612, even without the boost. However, at higher levels, they might be about even. I also feel that at higher levels, the 612 carries farther.

I’ll have to use these more to get a definite feel for them at “normal” levels. If trying to use as a floor monitor, it’s okay, but probably wasn’t designed for it since it doesn’t have feet on the sides and it isn’t angled as much as the 612, but that can be easily remedied.

Very tempted to sell my 612 and get the 712, but I’m trying to stay within a certain weight limit and this weighs just about the same as my 612. Overall, this is a definite winner for me and my uses.

They are amazing for sound, appearance, weight and capabilities. Love the 4 handles and bluetooth controls. Down falls are with short distances they are not heard well side to side and they tend to smell funny when using them at first but it goes away (I have heard it call the “breaking in a new speaker smell”).

Good product with remarkable fragrance. Better and effective for male and even female can also use it. Because it has little power but mind refreshing. Hope that my review will help someone else. Must try.
