20 Best Pa System For Truck (2022 Updated)

FIRST let me say, I’m a professional singer/guitarist who was looking for a cheap way to expand my venue sizes. I make HALF my living on my gigs, and Ive been doing it forever. Now about the system. Mixer is not bad, but it is in no way 2×300 watts.

My Fender 90 watt acoustic combo amp is easily as loud while running both vocals and my martin guitar thru it. Effects aren’t bad, but get muddy if you add any bass at all. Bass speakers seem to be pretty fair without effects, but hard to believe they are 15 inches.

Cabinets are light, and inputs are ok. Doesn’t appear you can daisy chain them which is a disappointment. The 1″ titanium tweeters are only minimal quality. I was very surprised to find that decent peizo tweeters are clearer and stronger.

“The World Famous Mics” might word ok for spoken presentation, but for singing they are not sufficient in quality to give good clean sound across the vocal range. The speaker and MIC/XLR cords provided are poor quality and I had to use the Behringers I already had, which made the mix sound much better.

So WHY would I recommend it??? The price warrants some easy/cheap upgrades such as cables and mics. It is an entry level system that would serve a garage band well. The cabs look strong enough that little by little I will replace tweetersand woofers as they blow with better quality, one piece at a time.

Bluetooth response is good and would be great for mobile DJ. The stands included are portable and well made. My guitars, a Martin acousitc electric and backup Ibanez Artwood acoustic sounded pretty good thru it, and the effects worked well with the system too.

Bottom line is, you get what you pay for, and if I run a line out to a powered monitor, this system will serve me fine for now. I gave it 3 stars for this reason. Even so, in my book, if you sell a system as COMPLETE, everything should be up to at least standard quality.

Right out of the box I was surprised how high quality this system seemed. I’m not a sound guy per se, but I feel like I could easily pull off professional gigs with this system. The sound is good and very clear.

The bluetooth function is perfect for playing things from your phone, and it worked with no issues. The mics seem really heavy duty and they sound so good! Great for Saturday night karaoke jams. The line-in input works great for hooking up a DJ mixer or the electronic drum set.

This system exceeded my expectations!.

I have owned a number of PA systems over the years, and this one is absolutely the best value for the price. I am amazed at how light the cabinets are – yet they sound great. This issue is frequently the downside of most PA systems.

The speaker cabinets are always heavy. But Rockville got it right.

What a great value this is. I own 2 line array systems. This Gemini and the LD Systems Maui 5. Both systems sound just fine but I prefer the Maui for one simple reason; you can see the knobs to adjust things.

The Gemini, while a fine devise, has the controls on the back. Well, once you have it set up with the speaker array, now in order to adjust something you have to bend over and look at things basically up-side-down and figure out what’s what.

Particularly difficult on a dark, poorly lit stage. (And especially hard if you’re a fat old geezer like me) The Maui has its controls on top so everything is easy to get to. Oddly you won’t get a lot of volume out of it unless you run a board in front of it.

(?) I crank the volume on the Maui way up and then plug instruments and mics into a board which gives me a lot more control, and volume. I’ve played solo with just this unit in a loud packed 1500 sq ft bar with no problems and I’ve used both the Gemini and the Maui together with a five piece band in a packed 5000 sq ft venue and it wasn’t even working it very hard.

Because it is very feedback resistant, you don’t need monitors. Perhaps I should say, that as a mostly acoustic player at moderate volume, I don’t need monitors. I in front of the speakers and have only gotten feedback when being too close to the speaker and playing harmonica.

Those highs feed a smidge but that’s all. Buy it!.

From a functional standpoint, the LD Maui5 is exactly what I wanted. Simple controls and easy transport. The sound of the 4 driver speakers is really nice, and overall power is decent. It has what I would call subtle volume.

it can get loud and project, without feeling like your face is going to melt. Only question is the sub sound seems a bit muddy. not horrible though.

After trying out a Turbosound and a Bose L1 I decided on the Maui 5. The main reason is the input flexibility, 2 balanced line ins on the back, 1/4 guitar/line in, balanced mic, aux, and Bluetooth. I run a DI out of my Boss Acoustic Singer into it and it sounds great.

None of them really sound great on their own, no reverb, or line out. You really need some kinda mixer, mic preamp, or DI out with all of them. Practiced with it two weeks then used it in a large room 100 or so people.

Everyone was really happy with the sound both in the front and back of the room. The week before at the same place the performer had another brand line array and it sounded like mud. The line array with all 3 parts wobbled a little when someone dancing knocked into the unit, no damage.

Price was less then the Bose sale price. however the cover and bag are sold separately. So far so good!.

The sound reminds me of riding in my grandfathers early 80s Chevy pickup. but louder. It makes Baby Got Back sound like a bad talk show on AM radio, and I like talk radio. Before purchasing this unit you should be very aware it is useless for music as a standalone product.

I bought it to play TV audio (usually the news) while I run on the treadmill in my home gym that is about 10 x 20. It will work for my intended purpose, but I have already hooked up a sub in the room so my wife can use it for music.

I think anyone who buys it with the intention to DJ (even small private events) will be extremely unhappy. If you buy it to use as a PA system only, you will be satisfied. If I could do it over again, I would pay a little more and buy a system that is capable of playing music.

Other notes: – Bluetooth works fine (using Moto Play Force Android phone) – Radio tuner is nice touch – There is only one output on main unit which is intended to power the second unit. To add a sub, you have to have mixer or split off sound from your aux input via 3.

5mm jack (what I did – meaning you can only play music from another device via a 3. 5mm cable). – Stands are decent quality for the price I would give it 5 stars if it had even a low wattage secondary output of some kind so you could easily add your own sub and/or the capability to project even minimal bass.

This is a really great system, I needed something louder than a portable speaker for house parties and family gatherings. Based on what I have heard so far during a few day of use, I think these are goung to be AWESOME! They are loud, have good balance, depth and adjustments for loud sound, they are great as speakers and have the power to drive the subwoofers well.

Great stand alone system for playing music from a vehicle during parades. Easy to set up, easy to connect via Bluetooth, and good sound. Can be powered using an inverter connected to the vehicle battery.

I replaced two Roland Street Cubes with this one unit and boy am I ever glad I did. Very portable and being powered by eight double A batteries, I’m totally independent of electrical service needs. Between this BA330 used with a battery powered harmonizer and wireless guitar/headset mic, man, I’ve got people staring with their mouths dropped open.

My volume can reach for blocks with plenty of headroom left. I can be “neighborhood wide” and my gear sounds clear and strong and even makes ME sound nice with an amazing amount of ease. Thanks AMS!!! American Musical Supply has made it possible for me to own the finest gear I’ve ever had.

From my Martin D-41 right down to a complete electrically independent sound system, man, they have treated me like Clapton and all with totally interest free financing. I absolutely can’t wait for Spring and warm weather to get my self outside and perform.

I had this unit for more than a year. It seems to provide better sound and separation than what you would expect from other units this size. With 8 AA batteries for a power source it is surprisingly versatile.

Place it on a stand or on the ground, tilted or not, you get great sounding vocals. With two speaker out 1/4″ out connections your are able to achieve super separation with a Left, Center, and Right coverage, or angle some of the speakers towards the players, and you have pretty good stage monitors.

It has three power output levels, so a complete boost of the system can be achieved with one flip of a switch (eco, moderate, or full power). While it lacks a “Phantom ” power for the mics, the adjustable power levels can easily handle the lower powered mics.

The anti-feedback feature is always a welcomed feature and you will probably leave it on continuously. The additional channels, which include RCA and 1/8″ inputs are very useful, and when used with portable media device like an IPad or a Fitbit watch allows you to have remote or Bluetooth functions and control.

In short, while this unit falls short of a “large powerful stage PA system”, it fulfills the small to medium size venues requirements with versatility, and clarity.

This really is a good product in my opinion. We are professional jazz musicians and we use this for gigs where we might sometimes play outside, or anytime that getting a power supply is tricky. The other reason that we brought this is because you can get reverb through a microphone, meaning that we don’t need a separate mixer.

We also use this indoors for teaching music and again, the sound quality is first class. The sound quality is comparable with our other equipment that is powered and good quality. It won’t hit really high volume, but that is to be expected from such a small speaker.

You can buy speakers for around the 200 mark that offer the same functions but the sound quality is rubbish. The downside for me is that it is eye wateringly expensive. If it was the 400-450 mark I think it would be much better but 600 is a killer!.

OMG. I am loving this equipment. I have been using a PA box with all the equipment for years and it finally became to heavy. With the assistance of talking with Tom at Sam Ash in Vegas and he help me decide to purchase this set-up.

I am very happy with this unit. I have used it for 2 gigs right after purchase and – what a joy from weight and sound-. I am very excited about the BlueTooth availability. Never had this before and have used is a couple of times and enjoyed it’s use.

I also took the test to see how high I could turn the system up and I did turn up to the max and had no issues with the sound. LOVING MY UNIT.

The new model PA system SAMSON XP300B is professionally designed and well built. Playing some rock music for family and friends is my hobby. I am using the system mostly at home to amplify and mix simple keyboard and vocals.

The system power is more than adequate for this application. It fills with quality sound the 1000 Sq Ft area of our first floor. Others in their reviews were mentioning about the noise from the cooling fan of similar systems.

I do not have any issue with such noise. It is similar to the noise from a fan used in Deck top computers. the System is very portable. The two speakers and the mixer join nicely together in one unit for transportation.

For the size of the speakers the bass output is sufficient. The Speakers are of high quality. The System has an input for a subwoofer. Adding one of about 200 watts RMS will benefit the lower frequency sound greatly.

I love the effects. Using an effect on the mic highly improves vocals. Class D amp is great. Good system !.

I have a wedding venue and every weekend, dj’s are bringing in nice sound systems. I wanted my own to listen to during the week while I am working. The Sampson XP1000 is perfect for my use. I play it rather loud and leave it running for hours every day.

The classD amp stays cool and efficient. I have the speakers mounted in my open barn pointed towards an outdoor dance floor. With the addition of a Behringer VQ 1500 D subwoofer, the Sampson sounds as good or better than most of the pro systems that I hear every weekend.

the available inputs and outputs are a fantastic system. it is an attractive feature rich system. Mine did not include an AC input cable, but it uses the regular cord, like a computer monitor. After setting it up twice, with less than 100 hours of use, the left speaker channel cut out.

the failure is inside the amp unit. I found that by tilting or shaking the amp unit, the signal will cut in and out. since i would expect similar performance from a replacement unit, I have decided to repair this one, rather than replace or get store credit.

(do not try this at home, NO USER SERVICIBLE parts inside) a little bit heartbreaking, my first direct drive turntables were Gemini, and I still have my first Gemini mixer. I would sort of recommend this Item, on the hope that i had bad luck and got a lemon.

The design was well thought out. It is compact and I like how the main unit attaches to back of speaker. The other speaker houses the cables that are needed in the same manner. I do like the 4 channels and even rca cables can be used to connect a source.

Very nice for voice, I also run my 12 string guitar thru it and it is a nice sound. The only thing bad is that the unit is rated at 150 watts rms and I do not believe that is correct. I have a 12 x 26 living room and it definitely will not blow me out of the room.

It is louder than a raw voice and could be useful in very small venues. I have had this for about a month now and use it for voice and guitar. Not sorry I bought it, I just thought it would be a little louder.

This system is no joke! Clear Sound and great power for both Woofers. I was impressed by the quality of the Bluetooth connection on the mixer, which by the way, it includes an internal amplifier and a compression driver! If you need an easy and quick connection, you also have the option of a USB portal directly to your PC to record your DAWS.

I seldom have to use an interface. Monitor controls available. Jacks, microphone, and XLR cable are all included. I play at live events, and I do tracking with it. I’ve had it for about three months now, and I am super happy.

Connected with both my iPhone 11 and my wife’s iPhone 10s with no problem. Did have a problem connecting usb to a 500gb portable hard drive, and it would not recognize it. Ill try a USB key tomorrow, and an SD card after I load music on both.

The sound between 2-4 was very clear, and plenty loud for what we’re doing. The outer front bezel has a few cuts in it, but it’s not for show. The free stand is a nice perk, the mic is cheap but also free.

The connectivity options are amazing, and will help if I choose to use it for our annual small town pick nick ( speaker and PA ). The weight is perfect and not at all cumbersome to move around. I DJ’d well over 10 years ago and my 20” sub cabinet was a nightmare, as were my four Mackie Loudspeakers.

As my age creeped in and my needs changed along came this cost effective alternative to toting around a 5’x8’ trailer with tons of lighting and sound gear, PLUS IT’S BLUETOOTH. I have a small Mackie 6 channel mixer and can output either 1/4 or XLR, the speaker has inputs for both, plus it has a pro connection for speaker out if you want to power a passive cabinet.

The EQ is a basic two tone variant, but what it lacks in customization of sound tone, it makes up for in volume, and clarity. If you choose to use this for a DJ option, do all of your EQ work before you send the signal to the speaker.

I still like to do vocal work and run everything through an Alesis 2020 Compression Limiter, and a vocal effects box. While I’ve not used either with this speaker, I have no reason to thing it won’t handle the output.

This gets a very high recommendation.

I bought these as a general use p. a for small to medium parties. The volume on these is great youll definitely be able to hear what your playing over anything else, but the quality of the sound isnt going to wow you if youve ever heard a decent sound system before.

Very bland kind of rounded out sound. Its good for making things loud period. Which is why i bought them so i cant really complain at this price point. Just dont expect anything amazing from them.

Iv always wanted a P. A. Loud speaker, I starred researching , speaker sizes, wattages, weights portability & cost. I’m 53 & have always been a base head. So, started searching the on-line & came across this Pyle 15” PPHP155ST & found out has like the portable stand short cable mic.

& mic. & built-in FM receiving ( plus )! BLUETOOTH AWSUM & best of all 1500 watts & let me tell you THIS PYLE ROCKS so the following week I purchased another one‼️.

Purchased to use both indoors/outdoors for plein air demonstrations, allowing the featured artist to be more clearly heard. Used only one time (so far) but it worked as well as hoped for. The wired microphone provided is cheap but the sound quality for spoken voice was clear and loud.

Used for three hours and battery still nearly at full charge. Some people don’t like Behringer products and/or their business model, but I have owned several of their products that have all functioned perfectly and for a long time.

I take extraordinarily good care of all my “stuff”, but I’m hopeful this PA System will continue that trend. I feel this is a fairly unique product, meaning I couldn’t find another battery powered portable PA with this feature set and relatively low price.

It seems to be a fine product. But it is still a new item for me, and I wish the “review prompting email” that I received would repeat in 5 years to remind me to write a follow-up to would be truly useful by talking about long term durability and reliability.

My Behringer Europort MPA40BT-PRO Portable PA System was delivered yesterday. I tried it out on a gig today in a small to medium size room. I played my Epiphone Masterbilt acoustic/electric guitar through the Europort and I sang 16 songs using a Behringer ULM300USB wireless microphone.

Although AC power was available, I chose to do the gig on battery power to see how well it works. I have to say that I’m impressed. The sound was very good. The mic operated with no noticeable latency.

The guitar sounded great. On the downside, there was a bit of sibilance in the mic so I put a foam windscreen on it and took care of that minor issue. The shell of the mic is made of plastic so it doesn’t feel as substantial as I would like.

I don’t know what would happen if it were dropped. I usually use my Bose system for gigs like this one along with a Shure SM58 mic. I love the Bose unit and it’s hard to beat a Shure SM58 for a live gig but the Europort and the ULM300USB mic were competitive with my old standbys.

When I got home, I tried playing some recorded tunes (mp3) from my iPhone using Bluetooth. The sound was again quite good. Talk about versatile! I’m itching to use this unit for outdoor parties and busking.

If you know how to care for lead acid batteries, the battery will last for years! Otherwise, the sound quality and features for an 8 inch portable rechargeable bluetooth speaker is spectacular! You can’t go wrong with this one, but like I mentioned, lead acid batteries have to be constantly maintained properly, or you will have to replace it! The upside, the replacement battery for this unit usually costs about 20 bucks! Still a great deal!!!.

I use this for live sound for an acoustic duet. This little unit outperforms anything else I have used under $500. In fact I liked it so much I’ve bought three over five years, to help round out our sound and for versatility.

You still have to properly gain stage and use compression/eq for the best sound. You can also plug in anything with a headphone jack into the auxiliary channel. One is enough for small venues (< 50) two is enough for larger venues (< 200) or small outdoor events.

Add a subwoofer if you have live bass instruments. We use one of these for a monitor, too. You can keep adding and chaining them if you need flexibility for different gig sizes. The lack of features might come up as a con, but personally I feel the simplicity adds to the ruggedness of this amp-less to break later.

The first of these I got was five years ago and the newest and oldest units sound and look the same. Bottom line: Kustom has hit on the perfect combo of sound, road-worthiness, and price with this little PA unit.

Just buy it already!.

I bought one of these a few years ago to play the occasional solo gig. It worked well, though I would have liked having reverb. However, at the price, you get what it is. I run a nylon string electric and a mic, and it’s remarkably good for restaurant/coffee house gigs.

After the last two years brought the end of my band, I’ve been playing even more solos, and purchased a second one and a small mixer, and they haver returned my investment many times over. Easy to carry, clear sound, just fine for my needs, and I’ve been gigging since the 60s.

I play in an acoustic duo and an acoustic trio act. Usually small venues: wineries, breweries, restaurants. Occasionally outdoor parties and festivals. There are many shows where even my 10″ powered speakers on stands take up too much space.

These Kustoms are compact enough that I can set them on a chair, on a table, in a corner or on the floor near the stage area, even without a stand. When I look at them, it’s hard to believe they weigh almost 15 pounds.

But it’s the heavy magnets that deliver thumping bass response for a speaker this size. And the other reviews were right: they are screaming loud. I could cover a large hall with 300 people with 2 of these.

EQ’d correctly, there is very little distortion, even at high volumes. I have to adjust the channel inputs and master volume during a sound check to find the sweet spot, but that’s a 3 minute job and well worth it to get the clearest sound.

They are very versatile. Three channels. XLR and quarter inch inputs. I can plug mics, instruments and an ipod into a single speaker, or any combination of inputs. This means they serve as an emergency system if the mixer ever fails.

They have an EQ and volume adjustments for each channel. They can be daisy-chained for an easy PA or monitor system. They even have built-in handles: a nice touch not often found on speakers this small.

I purchased two of these with the intention of using them as stage monitors. After using them live, I will probably buy two more and replace my 10″ powered speakers with these. The sound is not quite as sweet as the 10 inch powered speakers (which sound like a home stereo) but they are darn close.

And at the types of shows I play, everyone is usually talking and I don’t need concert-quality acoustics. They do not tilt back at an angle for use as stage monitors, but that is easily remedied by simply placing a small wedge like a door-stop under them.

Kustom delivers a lot of bang for the buck.

I’ve had my stagepass 600 now for a little over a year. I’m a solo acoustic act and am OCD about my sound and tone. (No really. I’ve lost friends and made plenty of enemies over controlling every detail).

This system is capable of filling most any space with the music of a solo act and even a 3-4 piece. If you’re piping your bassists and drummer’s kit through it, maybe invest in a powered sub and manage expectations in regard to how how much and the quality of sound you’re able to generate but I’d put this unit up against any other in it’s class and output.

I’ve even played water parks where the stage was above the “wave pool”. The wave machines are so loud and the acoustics of any water park is not ideal. I packed 4 times the gear I needed and even sound checked with it all.

By the end of my first set, I shut everything down but the Stage pass Syst and it was more than enough for me. The FX are just enough and simplified to the point to where anyone can dial it in with relative ease and with little existing knowledge or experience in doing so.

I’m looking to upgrade to Two turbo sound IP3000 Linear array units but I think I’ll hang on to my stage pass. It’s just so small and the clarity of sound is tough to beat.

We use this system for Karaoke Night at our one of locations. It is an easy to use, straightforward system. The big benefit is the Bluetooth capability so we can BT from our computer and cast directly into the PA system.

We also own the STAGEPAS 400BT that we use at another location and it is an excellent system as well.

I was pleasantly surprised at the power and clarity of the audio from this system. All the channel controls work great, and the effects options sound good. It’s nice to have the bluetooth option and I appreciated the extra inputs and outputs, including the 1/8 inch stereo input and the monitor/sub woofer outs.

I paired this system with the Yamaha NS-SW100 subwoofer and I’m really glad I did. If there is anything to complain about with the system, it is that the low end isn’t as full as I would like it to be, but not unexpected in a smaller speaker.

The sub filled it out really well and was easy to connect thanks to the dedicated subwoofer output. Bottom line, I feel as if I got really great value for the price!.

After being asked 4 times in the last several years to run sound at wedding receptions, I finally stopped using borrowed gear and crappy house systems and bought this, thinking I could also use it for small gigs.

I used it for the first time at an outdoor reception and it worked incredibly well. The sound quality was great – no ear piercing treble, no harshness in the mids, and plenty of low end thump. Great clarity.

Really fantastic sound dispersion – I put it in one corner of a very large pavilion and every inch of the venue received good quality sound. The decorators appreciate the low profile, and I appreciate the fact that it took literally 2 minutes or less to set up.

Yes, the controls are very limited, but they are perfect for quick, easy adjustments. The app is simple and handy. This outdoor venue was right near the top end of this units capabilities – much larger and more wattage would have been needed, but it’s perfect for simple applications in small to moderate venues.

I might pick up a second one for larger gigs!.

I bought them for a very specific purpose – Ceremony PAs and Cocktail Hour. For that purpose they are perfect! When I researched them, I learned that their SPL is 119, that it is 1000 watts (peak, not RMS).

and therefore, did not expect I could really use these as mains for my events. I was right. and wrong. I was right in the sense that they could not fill a medium to large size room. I tried. I tried to push them and they easily began clipping especially on “Club Mode.

” Also, when in club mode, I noticed that it limited my highs/mids on my mic and I sounded muffled during introductions. So I set them in STEREO mode and plugged the MIC straight into the Stagepass instead of my Rane mixer.

Mic worked flawlessly no matter what and I also got more power/loudness out of the speakers without clipping. However, I wanted them louder but I tell you that the low end was beautiful the whole time.

If you want to use these as a pair of mains for an event (as a DJ), just make sure the event is 100 people or less in a small venue. They work perfectly for me in that setting. I will be picking up a different system (most likely Bose L1 32 Pros) for my wedding receptions.

I’m currently using two QSC 12s with a KW181 for that setting. I wonder if Yamaha would consider a 2000 watt system (1000 RMS) with around 135 SPL. < - I would definitely buy them!.

I sold my L1C to fund (in part) this purchase. I am a huge fan of Yamaha products and was thrilled when I saw this unit on the market. The app is amazing how you can remotely control the unit with bluetooth.

You can also just run audio via bluetooth. The mixer still leaves you feeling like you don’t have all the control you want, but it does have effects and 1 knob tone shaper for each of the three XLR/combi connector channels.

The effect selected can be switched on/off for each channel which is nice. Getting used to the one knob eq will take some time, but for now, I like the “flat” setting for vocals (when singing) and all the way counterclockwise for speech only.

I demoed this tonight at a large nonprofit event with nearly 200 people sandwiched into the basement of a church. It was plenty loud — more oomph than the L1C imho, with terrific bass. The 12″ sub really shines.

I bet you could have a bass player run direct through this. So I was using a Beta 58a mic for my vocals and the other mic was set up for a speaker – an Audix OM2. The anti feedback is quite good. I also had my guitar (OM with a Seymour Duncan magmic) plugged in direct.

I was very happy with the sound. What was really nice was that it was a one trip haul in. With the L1C, I’d have to bring a small mixer for the extra mic and effects. That means one more bag and several more cables/power cords.

The storage bag on the 1K is awesome. I was able to store an AUX cord, two XLR mic cables, an instrument cable and two mics (in their storage bags) all in the one large pocket. My guitar was on my back (gig bag), I carried a stand bag (music stand, mic stand, guitar stand) in my left hand, and the Stagepas in my right.

Unlike the L1C, the 1K all fits in the one bag. However, it is pretty heavy to carry in one hand and walk with a long way. I’ve ordered the dolly Yamaha has for it through the rebate. I was able to get great sound from the unit.

The effects are good and there are enough inputs for me.

I mean it’s got a FULL BASS BOTTOM sound in itreally!which is ultra-incredible for something so small. And sturdy! Today I walked it a mile to the weekly Ashby BART drum circle in Berkeley CA to play my P-bass through.

On the way there it fell off my mini hand-truck and rolled out into the street. I freaked out, but amazingly enough that made no difference at all when I got to the drum circle and turned it on. It’s so well-madethank you so much for putting this in my life!! I can get my music around to people now (don’t have a car), without being forced to be acoustic.

The drummers all liked it too.

Id read some of the criticism of this unit before I decided to buy it anyway. Those criticism are correct. The wheels are fairly useless and this unit needs to be moved on a handtruck. the design of the three latches that hold it together while in transit or storage/non use is very poor and easily break.

and I wish there was a second set of outs on the mixer. That said, this is a pretty smoking hot and well engineered sound system! The power, the quality of the knobs/interface, the USB port for the matching Behringer Wireless Mics, the EQ and its feedback isolation technology, the mobility and having that out for a Sub Woofer all make this a pretty freaking solid system.

Just plan ahead with a handtruck and dont abuse those latches and everything is just fine:) One other thing. using some Velcro on the back (under) side of the Amp/Mixer to reinforce the storage door is a good idea.

That plastic door comes off pretty easily and Ive seen how easy it is to break the plastic hinge that it swivels on. Id give this unit a full 5 Stars instead of 4 if those little engineering issues were fixed.

My Fender unit from the 90s had way way better latching mechanisms and storage hinges. They never broke in over 20 years. Behringer should do and can do better. Still, the sound quality and the flexibility of in/outs and such are awesome on this unit.

I bought this to use as a mobile PA for quick bar jobs, and also for use at outdoor weddings. I did my research and it came down to this or one of the Roland Street Cubes. I knew that this didn’t have all the features the Rolands do, but it looked louder, was pole mountable, and had enough channels.

That’s true, but man, would it kill Behringer to put a reverb on here? The dry sound is fine, but it’s pretty Sahara dry. Also, and I think this is the biggest problem with this speaker, the other channels duck out if you over drive one channel – even though the amp has plenty of headroom left.

In other words – even if the speaker can get way louder, if you’re at a low volume and you have a guitar player playing too heavy, he’ll ‘push’ the other channels out of the way and be the only thing coming through the speaker.

So, this is great as a single source powered speaker, but if you want to use it for anything else you’re going to need an outboard mixer – the one on this unit is just unusable. The battery does seems to last a good amount of time, and it does get pretty loud without breaking up – and the 8″ woofer does a better job handling bass than I would have thought.

But, you’re going to need an extra mixer to get any use out of this – and you know how hard it is finding a battery powered mixer with onboard fx? Not a thing, so now you’re carrying around two extra pieces of gear.

If you need this for one thing, like microphones for presentations, or putting on the back of a bike to pump mp3s through – it’s basically perfect. If you’re trying to use this for music/performances, save the hassle and go get a Roland Street Cube XE – that’s the thing that’s made for doing what you want to be doing.

Features: I have my laptop connected via bluetooth, a wireless microphone, a fender guitar and a yamaha keyboard and everything works without complaints or setbacks, plug and play Quality: I think that if it is taken care of normally, not allowing it to get wet and not hitting whatever is rolling it from one side to the other this PA can last a long time due to its construction quality Overall: excellent sound option for small and medium events.

I am a soundman for a church of 85 people and I was skeptical of this PA system thinking that it would not reach the volume range but when I connected the system and using the bluetooth to my laptop and I started to equalize and adjust !!! WOW !!! What a surprise, I have quality sound with good bass and a fairly good range of audio, I am left over, very happy and satisfied to have bought this Escort 6000, I have no complaints, although many complain about the speaker stands remember that it is a complement for the combo, and still they are functional, but you know that you can find them on Amazon for very affordable prices, the bluetooth connection is very good and fast, the effects have to give the maximum of the knob so that they feel when connecting a microphone And so you will hear the chosen effect, the EQ masters are very important for an overpowering and they work wonderfully, in general I recommend this PA PORTABLE SYSTEM 100% if you like a loud and clear sound, thanks to zZounds for the fast delivery on time.

I was looking for an all-in-one system that could be brought to events and small performances with the criteria of being durable, clean-sounding, quick to set up, and able to fill large areas of 200-300 people with breathing room.

This unit met all of these easily. For sure there are less expensive options out there but it’s the old adage of “you get what you pay for”. The only two things that are more irritants than deal breakers are because the speaker stands are more like mic stands, they feel somewhat shaky when the speakers are mounted on them.

Fortunately, I have standard speaker stands that these speakers can mount onto so it’s not a huge issue other than not being able to carry the stands inside the case. Secondly, if you purchase the optional stand for the mixer/amp, it’s advertised to fit inside the case along with the speaker stands.

Well, they do. if you have the patience to fiddle and adjust the position of the stands for half an hour to get it to just fit right; otherwise you can’t close the case. My guess is that the overall case was originally designed without these stands in mind.

However, since I don’t carry the included speaker stands in the case, it’s not an issue for me. However, if you plan to, be prepared to have a lot of patience if you want to carry all of the stands inside the case.

Have used this for over about a year with great results in large ballroom settings to smaller venues as well. This past weekend I had an indoor event but had to roll the unit into the venue from the parking lot with it raining.

I had an umbrella but exterior of unit still was rained on. After setting up, the system would not work. When the master volume was turned up, it would just pop really loud. I allowed the system to dry in a hot vehicle the next day and then it worked perfectly again.

I have no idea why the designer of this system made it with the large round hole at the top center of the system when it is transported. Never paid that much attention to that hole, but it essentially acts as a gutter system to direct any rain you may encounter directly onto the sound board.

I am rating the Behringer PPA2000bt that I recently bought on ebay. This system is very powerful and sounds much better to me than my older set up which included a powered 10″ AMD 15″ Behringer speaker, along with separate mixer by Behringer.

The bluetooth allows you to pair this unit up with your phone or music source that has blietooth. It works great but I have not tested the actual distance I can be from this unit when paired. All the pieces fits perfectly together and forms into a huge and heavy suitcase shape.

The clasp works fine for storing away but I would not trust when rolling as the wheels are quite small and this wobbles when rolled. I purchased (3) 12″ Gator speaker bags which is used to transport the 2 speakers and the mixer bottom part.

Good to also get a pair of speaker stands which allows you to place your speakers higher on the tripod stand. Overall this system sounds awesome comes also with speaker cables and a microphone. The only drawback is the weight when all is attached and transporting may be tough by rolling as it was meant to be used.

I only keep it attached when storing as it saves space. I found its best to use speaker bags to transport to prevent the clasp from breaking or from this heavy unit form tipping over when rolling. Would be good to also use a foldable wagon to transport if you don’t have stairs to go up or down.

Excellent sound quality with good mixer capabilities. Bluetooth facility also a big bonus. We used it with acoustic violin amplified through the PA system (with the best acoustic sound ever experienced) and keyboard, together with backing tracks to play along with.

It was perfect for an outside wedding in a largish garden, filling with sound. We put wheels on the base to enable easier transport, as it is quite heavy for a not so fit person to carry. This has helped, and might be something to consider to upgrade the design.

But it is neat and compact to transport. Needs gorilla stands for the speakers.

This is a perfect small and sufficient PA you can buy. It does have a good power and it is light to move around. Effects are decent and useful for a quick setup. A set of speaker stand will complete your setup.

Might consider busking or other public performance with my guitar & maybe singing, this looks like the perfect battery powered amp, would have been perfect as a portable PA system when I needed one last year.

Might not be loud enough for larger venues than a coffee shop but I’m not even there yet. Love the simple set up & controls including reverb & Tonematch, can complicate it with a mixer later if needed to dial in the tone & add more channels although would have been nice to have 4 instead of just 2 channels besides the auxiliary/BT channel.

I also got the Bose Backpack and it is very solid bag to transport it in, love the extra compartments for other gear like cords and such, a little spendy but very durable & well made. Only complaint of the unit was the quick start up brochure was useless, had to go online to read the Owner’s Manual that did not come with it, information about battery in protective mode & resetting should be included rather than just online support.

Once I understood how to use all the controls, this PA & mixer will be very easy to set up & use for practicing or performance, and have always loved the sound & performance of Bose, have an Apple iPod docking station, several BT portable speakers, and now this portable PA, love them all.

This is what you need as a busker. It has many ways to charge it. Its loud and clear. Its a bit on the heavy side but it will get you heard. i took this busking made back more then I spent on the unit.

battery last 3 hrs. I love that blue tooth works well with this. you wont get a lot of range but faster to set it up. wish it had more bass but it will get you tips and you will be hurd over a cube. just set it down flip a switch and your done start singing would get wind screens for the mics.

Kind of disappointed add the previous model which sounded much better and much louder also the previous model had a master volume this one does not I’m not impressed I like the old one better might send this one back.

It’s a decent PA for smaller gigs. Hardy, easy to use and set-up, and a good quality sound. Even better with sub. It’s the second one we’ve bought (we left the first in Mexico after touring throughout the USA and central America with it without any problems for 5 years.

Definitely good for a quick and easy portable PA system that can run from rechargeable batteries. I haven’t test the charge length deeply yet but seemed to run for an hour or so with no problems. The bluetooth works fine.

At 40 watts you’re not going to fill a concert hall but for a small room it should be enough for speech or background music. The sound is overall good but seems a little lacking in midrange with that “scooped” feel with bass and treble controls to scoop it even deeper so it sounds a little hollow to me.

Bass is good, especially for the size and weight. Its not hard to carry and the luggage arm and rollers make it even easier to move around. There are two downsides to me. One: the gain structure allows it to drive into ugly distortion very easily.

With no trim before the mixer channels its easy to overdrive the unit at the input stage before even getting to the master volume. Both the channels and the master seem to go into distortion at around the half way position.

This is simply a design function that makes it seem louder than it really is. Like “Listen how loud it is and its only up to 2!” But then you realize that you are right on the verge of distortion so 2 is really more like 8 should be.

So just be careful with gain settings and you’ll be OK. The other minor quip is that the knobs seem pretty cheap and could break off easily. One reviewer had that happen with a fall. Again, just be careful.

If you need something easy to setup even without AC power around that sounds way better than the average bluetooth speaker this will work for you. If you are street musician, this would be perfect. Just be careful with those volume settings.

You can’t go wrong with JBL. The quality of their sound is the best. I own 8 JBL PA speakers and refuse to compromise on sound when they are so affordable. This system is very compact and reasonably light.

I love the fact that it has it’s own mixer. The volume is incredible for such small speakers. I did a backyard movie and barely had the volume on and my wife said it’s too loud, turn it down. They do have the holes in the bottom to put speakers on stands.

Cons – The speaker wires seem a little light so I purchased longer and more substantial ones. I’m not in love with the bottom slots for connecting the speakers to mixer for carrying it. They seem a little less sturdy than I expected.

Overall – A+.

I bought this system for use in a church setting – we needed an audio system for smaller classes and workshops. It is perfect for this. Sound is great – with its own equalizer and speakers that are light and easy to transport.

A condenser mic worked equally well at close range or longer distance. Many thanks.

I purchased these a few months ago, and they are now my favorite portable speakers. They are great for the size/price, and better than most of the competition in this range. Especially at lower volume levels.

Only oddness I noticed is that the 3. 5mm stereo jack seems to have a much flatter sound than the same source going via splitter to the RCA jacks. Just a note if your setup includes anything with that as a source.
