20 Best Pacifiers For Newborns Breastfed (2022 Updated)

I was nervous my daughter wouldn’t like these after using another type of binkie for the first 9 months of her life. But after she started putting the entire thing in her mouth, I needed to find something bigger she couldn’t do that with.

She LOVES these! and I love that they’re big enough she can’t get the whole thing in her mouth. I also love that they are one solid piece so they don’t have any crevices to get gunk stuck in!.

This was smaller than the palm of my hand and already starting to get soft when it arrived. Hardly worth using. Went into the store in person and found some at least twice the size and healthy, so I have no idea why such low quality ones are being picked for deliveries.

Disappointing.

I found the nattursuten brand by reading other moms reviews and I really like the fact that they’re made from real rubber and nothing else. I hadn’t thought about the ingredients in pacifiers until i read about the way these are made, and I recommend them to anyone that comments on the different look compared to other brands.

My daughter is breastfed and I’ve noticed that she doesn’t have any issues taking this pacifier compared to other types like the soothers that are more rounded and made of harder plastic that make her gag.

These are a little bit more pricey but I think they are worth the expense considering how long it takes to make one and how they are all natural single ingredient.

My daughter doesn’t really like binkies as we call them in our house. She will use the green one the hospital gave us but it usually pops right out of her mouth. The only way to soothe her sometimes at night is to put her to the breast and she literally goes right back to sleep.

But then she’s locked on and moving her wakes her up. So we tried other ones. Specially ones that said for breastfed babies but she hated all of them. My husband got a three pack of different Tommee Tippee ones and this was one of the ones in the pack.

I tried this one first. Popped it in and she was out like a light in minutes. It doesn’t pop out of her mouth. I love that it doesn’t touch the skin around her mouth. So no irritation. It’s only 7. 99 for a two pack I think.

If you have a picky breastfed baby that hates all other binkies you have to try this one.

Our dude was not feeling the avent soothies that were big sissy’s ride or die. We just assumed he didn’t like binkies aka I was the binky. Tried these on a whim and I am SO GLAD. He took to them instantly.

Super breathable and a really natural shape. No hard plastic against babe’s face. They lay flat on a table. They down bounce and roll across the room and under the bed. The holy grail of paci’s! And cute colors to top it off.

Getting more asap!.

I have bought this brands milk bottles and also this dummy set, honestly not worth it. My baby literally prefers the flat teat rather than this round shaped one. Also when my baby is sleeping and had if she had this dummy, she can’t sleep upside down (obviously facing towards the side) due to the hard back of it.

Also their feeders are not good. Like all others, I thought this is a famous brand and it might be good. But tbh the milk bottle teat rarely give any milk. it makes it hard for the baby to such any milk out of it.

These are really nice pacifiers! Our new baby David (2 weeks old) definitely loves them when he is not hungry but wants a little soothing. The nubs and breathability are nicely thought out along with the cute designs (I got the “I love momma” ones!).

The shape fits him well and is not too large for his cute little face. I also enjoy the glow in the dark feature on the night pacifier, which glows quite bright when “charged!” Food for thought: the glow in the dark handle didn’t last long for us, maybe an hour.

You’d be hard pressed to find something that lasted all night, but I was hoping for more than an hour. The night pacifier comes without a ring so as to not disturb your little one while sleeping. This sounds nice, but it also makes the pacifier more difficult to handle by bumbling half-asleep zombie parents trying to find a pacifier in baby’s bassinet/crib at night, especially after the glow has worn off.

Once found, trying to maneuver said pacifier into baby’s mouth without a ring can be tough in this state. Overall, my critiques are not real breakers, just things to consider. I love the cover that these come with, which takes the worry of contamination away, especially when stuffing a pacifier into a diaper bag or your pocket for easy retrieval.

Great product, just some personal preference differences!.

I received a package of newborn pacifier free as part of Beta testing. This is my honest review of them. I saw these pacifiers on Amazon and though of getting them, but then was hesitant because the teat wasn’t rounded (like some other highly recommended newborn pacifiers), and I didn’t want nipple confusion for my BF baby.

I also though it was strange since Medela is know for all their wonderful breastfeeding supplies that they wouldn’t have a rounded nipple like teat option. But boy was I wrong about being hesitant. My daughter loves them.

She does so much better with the shape of these pacifiers than rounded ones and there hasn’t been any nipple confusion or issues. I also love that they come with a protective cap, so I can throw one right in my purse and not have to worry about it getting all dirty.

I hope the make more color options soon. I ended getting the girly style free and bought the neutral style. I also plan on getting the next size (6-18 months) soon.

I loved the Medela pacifier and so did my infant. He took to it immediately after using another popular brand. What I appreciate most is that it is one solid piece of soft, flexible silicone. There is no risk of the mouthpiece detaching from the nipple portion.

I also love that it is extremely easy to clean. Other pacifier brands I have used have nooks and crevasses where dirt accumulates and it is difficult to clean these areas without feeling like the pacifier is coming apart.

A nipple brush easily cleans the outside and inside of the pacifier nipple. The steribox it comes with makes it extremely convenient to sterilize both pacifiers simultaneously in the microwave. I also like how soft the silicone is.

It is durable yet flexible. The mouthguard is thick yet lightweight and has a loop for attaching a clip. It is the perfect size for little mouths. I also liked that there are little bumps on the inside of the mouthpiece that allow air to flow between the skin and silicone preventing irritation from moisture.

The only issue I came across was the silicone did stain a light orange when he was given the pacifier shortly after being fed pureed carrots. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. My only other wish is it was glow in the dark for nighttime use.

This is the main time my infant takes a pacifier and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. However, overall the Medela pacifier is a great product that I would definitely recommend. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this pacifier.

The best advice I ever received from my nurse before leaving the hospital over a year ago was LET YOUR BABY CHOOSE HIS OWN PACIFIER So I did exactly that !! Being a first time mom , I ran out purchasing many name brand Binky’s/Pacifiers , for my baby to settle with just one.

the MAM Pacifier for newborns ,. My son is now 15 months old and still chooses the MAM binky over any other brand , I now purchase MAM CAMO PACIFIERS which has all the nice perks as other brands , if not more.

Other than my husband and I loving Camo , and they really are nice camo Binkys for boys or girls. I love the fact they’re developed and designed by pediatric dentists to provide comfort for growing & teething toddlers.

my daughter was diagnosed with low muscle tone in her tongue and left cheek at 3mo old, because of this, she was labeled failure to thrive and almost required a feeding tube. I was desperate to find a pacifier she was able to take and thankfully, this one was it! she went from not being able to suck from a bottle or even hold a pacifier in her mouth to being an INCREDIBLY happy and healthy almost 4yr old.

she was able to work her muscles with the pacifier and get the tone to where it needed to be within a matter of 3 months. I swear by these and plan on using them for our new baby.

I love the Gum Drop Pacifiers! When I first selected or looked at these pacifiers my thought was these look exactly like the ones used at the hospital and sure enough from what I found out they are. I am on my 5th and last baby and from past experience I can tell you after using several different types of pacifies these are absolutely the best ones.

The one thing I was disappointed about when receiving a pacifier from the hospital is that it was either blue or a light green even if was a little girl. Granted the youngest is now 4 years old and was a boy but just having the option to have the exact same pacifiers in girl colors (pink and purple) is awesome! It’s the little things that count! The design of the pacifier is simple however; they fit perfectly and comfortably in the baby’s mouth without obstructing the breathing path near their tiny little noses.

In addition these pacifiers are made latex free and I have never experienced any allergic reaction issues. Pacifiers on average range about $3 for one so you are definitely getting a good deal when you purchase the 5 pack and trust me you will end up losing or dropping some so you always want to have a backup.

Overall, these are great pacifiers for your baby and I highly recommend them.

These soothes have been a blessing best ones I’ve ever by far as a parent experienced. I dont have fear of pulling the nipple and it pulling off in some cases those soothers can be flawed creating possible situations of major choking hazzard.

Every parents nightmare. These soothers have completely taken those fears from me I can sleep at night knowing if my lil guy grabbed it and uses it he not going to choke. I just responsible parent of course need to wash and sterilizes it with a good check to see if my little man has chewed it or time ware and tare which is completely like non existant.

Great for tethers too just add water and freeze and let your lil one sooth thier gums. #momhack thank you Philps for making quality that lasts and sound of mind parents need. Would buy a bazillion times over.

Worth every penny and decent in price too.

My little one absolutely adores this thing. We’ve been with the Avent brand since birth and it has yet to disappoint. I’ve tried other leading brands pacifiers but none just seemed to work for her.

Very comfortable on the babies face, doesn’t leave any impression. I love the little grab piece on the opposite end of the pacifier. It’s much easier to grab versus possibly getting yours or the little ones fingers wrapped up in the hoop style handle.

I also love the variety of sizes the pacifiers have. Like I mentioned we’ve used them since we’ve left the hospital and here we are 6 months later moved up to the next size.

I was fortunate enough to receive this combo pack as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This pacifier is very well made and very light weight and soft around the mouth piece. Unfortunately my son didn’t care for this style of pacifier.

My only negative comment about this particular pacifier is the length of the nipple I feel like it can be/is to long for some babies. However this pacifier provides you a good option for the baby that is not fond of the round style nipple since this one is a flat.

Lastly one of the best features of this combo pack is the case that they come. Not only do they keep them clean when packing them around but if you need to clean them from use and baby dropping them.

All you have to do is add a little water into the case with the pacifiers and toss them in the microwave to sterilize them. That is big plus as for we all know how many times we have to pick them up off the floor.

I would recommend this pacifier to anyone whose baby likes the flat style nipple.

My baby had oral issues since day one of birth. The doctors thought he had cleft palette, high palette, tongue ties etc BUT no it was oral dysfunction of the mouth and sever reflux. He’s now able to keep this pacifier in his mouth longer periods, helps him during and after suck training, with teething you make it.

I recommend this to any new mother to try soon as baby is out the womb. Doing so will help keep down any latch issues or dysfunctions. Only con is I lose them easily because they’re so clear lol.

These are the only pacifier my baby will use. They are soft, easy to clean and I love the color because it helps me keep better track of the pacifiers over the clear ones. I found these because my baby had lip tongue and cheek ties and this was the recommended pacifier.

These pacifiers are the best!! I also use the evenflo balance bottles which are great with her tongue ties by helping her open her mouth bigger. Will definitely use with next baby!.

I normally don’t right reviews, but this was a great buy. I’m EBF and have tried about 10 difference pacifiers. My baby would not keep any in his mouth. He took to this brand immediately and loved it to soothe after a big meal.

It’s very similar to the popular Avent brand. But has a more rounded base/tip for babies lips to suction better. Also the curvature to form the mouth works wonders to prevent falling out. AND has a little “handle” for parents to grab and doubles use for attaching a clip.

Great quality. Great price. Buying again.

Recently, I had my second daughter and in a last minute rush before her birth, I realized I needed a few pacifier options on hand as my older daughter was quite picky with pacifiers and only used a MAM brand pacifier for about 6 weeks.

In a rush, I bought a package of Avent soothie pacifiers and the regular MAM pacifiers that my odler daughter had used. I didn’t really research and new products. Like her sister, my newborn daughter only liked the MAM pacifiers.

Luckily, weeSpring Parent Panel sent me the MAM Perfect Pacifier to try. I was so excited because (1) my girls are MAM fans and, (2) I didn’t even know this pacifier existed. My newborn has been using the pacifier longer than her sister did so, naturally, teeth concerns were on my mind.

Upon opening the package, I was quite pleased with the nipple on this pacifier; its very flexible and thin and you can clearly see how its fit would apply less pressure on the baby’s jaw and teeth. My daughter had been using the standard 0-6 month MAM pacifiers and was accustomed to those nipples (and she had been picky with pacifiers in general) but she took to this new nipple very easily.

There is only a minor difference to the nipple from the other MAM pacifiers, particularly in the neck area, so if you are already using MAM pacifiers, it will likely be an easy switch for your baby. I also used the microwavable case to sterilize the pacifier.

It was very simple, and I kept the case to use it again in the future. The directions are easy to follow. I actually used it in the microwave while washing bottles and then I let it stand in the microwave for a little longer than 5 minutes.

When I removed the case from the microwave, I used an oven mitt, but the case was not extremely hot to the touch. I removed the pacifier and let is stand in my bottle drying rack for about an hour before I used in that evening with my daughter.

She used it to fall asleep that night and throughout the night as needed. Occasionally, over the last 2 weeks or so, she will revert back wanting the original MAM pacifier but overall, she has taken to this newer nipple shape quite well.

Since my children seem to prefer this brand, and now this “Perfect Pacifier” has the added dental benefits, I will be switching my other pacifiers to the MAM Perfect Pacifier for my newborn. Thanks weeSpring Parent Panel for informing of this product!.

As a mom of 2 kids under 2 I definitely utilize pacifiers in my home 😉 I am always on the hunt for cute new ones and of course want to get the very best for my babies oral development as well! When I received the MAM Perfect Pacifier I was excited to see that it came with its own sterilizer! Yay for not having to boil a pot of water on the stove and fish out the pacifier after 5 minutes!!! The packaging that it came in was a clear plastic box with a little clip to hold the nipple side down in the water.

I read the simple instructions, filled the sterilizer to the fill line, popped the pacifier into the clip and put the sterilizer in the microwave on high, easy peasy! The instructions did say to watch the pacifier during the allotted microwave time to be sure that all of the water did not evaporate as that would potentially damage the pacifier.

I however did not have that issue as the water did not completely evaporate before the timer beeped. I waited (im)patiently for the microwave to beep so I could get it out and cool it. It did feel tedious to stand by the microwave, but honestly this is the first time I’ve opened and sterilized a pacifier immediately instead of dreading the whole pot on the stove process and leaving them on the counter for days.

Once I was sure the pacifier had cooled I gave it to my 3 month old. I was so excited about the new nipple shape! It was longer and thinner where it connects to the handle of the plastic which would make it easier for her lips to close around it with less gap and promote oral development.

Unfortunately my baby girl apparently has a very strong gag reflex and wouldn’t keep it in her mouth for more than a couple of seconds at a time before spitting it out. My assumption for her gagging is that she was a preemie born 8 weeks early so developmentally she was only 6 weeks.

The size of the pacifier was 0-6 months so I will save it for a couple of months and try again when she is older! Overall I liked the MAM Perfect Pacifier and am excited to try it again in the future.

My son needs to suckle, not only to fall asleep, but to maintain it. He is also very particular about his nooks, which made things rather difficult as of late; he was currently transitioning out of his present nook due to his age (4 months).

Insert the MAM Perfect Pacifier. It’s a darling little blue button on his face; it has an open design so I’m not worrying about his spittle collecting and causing skin irritations and has probably the cutest little elephant design on it.

The nipple, now the nipple is different. It took a little persistence with my son before he willingly (and actively) accepted this nook. Like all MAM nipples, it comes with the texture tongue pads at the very tip and has the flattened shape, but that’s where the similarities stop – the nipple “shaft” is long and flat and the pad is almost like a small “pop” of a bubble – smaller and a little more square-ish in shape when compared to their other nooks.

My son’s initial reaction to the MAM Perfect Nipple was to make a face and push the nook out with his tongue, now he happily holds it on his mouth with his hands. I have peace of mind with its design and claims that it won’t interfere with his orthodontia.

My brother was a nook baby and had to have specials corrective devices in his mouth as a result of his incorrect pacifier use; needless to say, finding a nook that will help soothe my son to sleep, while not interfering with his tooth development is a huge concern (nobody wants to pay to correct their kiddo’s teeth over a nook).

I find the price point for the MAM Perfect Pacifier to be on point with other high quality pacifiers on the market. MAM is a highly trusted brand with phenomenal quality. The MAM Perfect Pacifier is now part of my son’s nighttime routine and we couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend this nook to any and all parents of wee ones who need a nook to soothe themselves to sleep (and even the babes that use them intermittently at nap and bedtimes!).

My 8 Month Old Has Never Really Used Pacifiers. When He Was Smaller, I’ve Tried To Get Him To Use A Few Different Ones, But He Always Lost Interest. Over The Past Few Months, It Has Been Nearly Impossible To Get Him To Stay Asleep At Night, So As A Solution, I Figured I’d Give Pacifiers Another Try.

We Tried A Few Different Ones And He Instantly Spit Them Out. This Evening, I Had Him Try One Of These Out And Was In Literal Shock When He Just Took The Pacifier No Problem! I Like That These Are On The Larger Side And Meant For Older Babies.

The Price Is Great For 2 Pacifiers And The Design Is Cute. The Sterilizing/Carrying Case Is A Nice Bonus. I’ve Always Had The Worst Luck With Finding A Great Product And Then It Gets Discontinued, So I Will Be Stocking Up On These!.

These are the only pacifiers my baby likes BUT they give her a rash around her little mouth almost like burn her skin. I didn’t start with these it was the generic hospital ones but she would not budge.

Tried to switch to other ones and she’s not having it so looking for similar ones without the plastic around has been a mission. One bad thing is water gets inside pacifier so be careful none of that water that gets stored in there transfers to baby’s mouth whne using.

Well I like these pacifiers because my niece liked them. These were the only type of pacifiers she would take. We tried changing them on her and she wasn’t having it one bit. Also like the different selections that are available.

Would highly recommend you pay attention to your little one when they don’t like a certain type of pacifier.

This is actually my 2nd review after now using for a while. I am a pediatric Dentist and I bought these for her when she was about 6 months. We started with the glow in the dark ( genius btw) and have since bought the ones with the ring now that she is older.

she loves them! Once we were out of town and I needed one I just quickly bought another brand at the store and she just chewed it and didn’t sleep well ( she only uses them for sleep right now). She has never used them through out the day but I have seen no change in her tooth position of palate.

My only complaint, and its sort of a major one for me, is cleaning them. I bought the sterilization container, but lets me serious, im not going to clean one at a time in the microwave. It also just sterilizes the nipple, i assume to avoid getting water trapped within the nipple.

Alot of the time I scrub them with hot water and a little soap by hand bc if she has a runny nose etc. its not just the nipple that needs cleaning lets be honest. water always seeps into the nipple and takes a long time to drain out, the inside of the nipple started looking cloudy from the condensation.

I wish it could either be opened to be allowed to dry or just not have so many crevices for water to seep through. This is the only reason I am hesitant to buy for my 2nd child. I remember reading about this in some of the earlier reviews but, maybe it has been resolved since then?.

I’ve found another favorite from the new brand, Smilo Baby!! Their new pacifiers are absolutely wonderful! I am actually using their stage 1 pacifier; however they also have a newborn pacifier as well as stages 1-3 to coordinate with the appropriate age group your little one falls in.

Stage 1 is best for up to three months of age. I purchased these after my daughter had already tried a couple of other brands so we started with Stage 2s. The first time I popped one in her mouth she spit it out as if she’d tasted something bad so I knew the design they have was true.

Once she got used to that feeling she “latched on” and never looked back. They are without a doubt her favorite pacifiers. She starting to teeth and I feel like therebwas an immediate difference in her mood after using these.

I know they’re not teethers, but I’m hoping that whatever they’re doing to support her mouth is helping with teething as well. I also love how large the handle/knob in the back are. She’s learning to use her hands and the size of these are perfect for her to grip and pop in her own mouth.

The only thing I’ve had to be careful if is how wide the space is between the nipple and the mouth piece because her little fingers fit in there and I think she somehow pinched herself. Obviously that’ll be less of an issue as she gets older, but it was something that I never would have thought to look out for.

I love Natural BS. Great selection of products and super good costumer service, also sustainable packaging…. just this last purchase was a pacifier and the box was completely smashed and open… not looking great.

I am sure It didn’t came from NBS but the overall experience this time wasn’t great as always.

I’ve used Hevea for my daughter and bought it again in anticipation of our next baby due in a month. These dummies are so well wearing, soft and nasties free. Eco stork has terrific range and excellent service, I’ll be using them again for more baby items!.

Perfect pacifier for little one, love the colour and the shape to protect her teeth and really good to know it won’t be damaging the environment. Would like to buy more but they are very expensive. I was also disappointed that this took so long to get to me.

My 7 week old loves these pacifiers. When he was born, he wanted a pacifier but the kind we first got was easily knocked out of his mouth. It had a big nipple and a little handle and any time he would move his arms, the pacifier would fly out of his mouth.

I spent over $50 in search of a new pacifier for him and this was his favorite. I love the round shape of it because it will not give him the typical pacifier irritation rash on his face. I love that there’s no chance for any trapped water inside of the nipple so we don’t have to worry about mold.

My only complaint is that when we wash them, it’s difficult to get the inside of it cleaned out and looking new again.

My BF baby had no interest in pacifiers. It took a while to find one she would take, and we succeeded, but soon she eventually rejected it. My breast became her source of comfort and pacifier. I had to go on and overnight work trip and my partner and I knew he would be in trouble if she didn’t have something to soothe her through the night.

a quick google search “pacifiers shaped like nipple” lol led us to this gem. He survived the night and she even takes it during the day!.

These are my absolute favorite pacifiers. My first born loved these and we had to have serval around at a time. They do get worn and will start to change color and get “squishy” but it helps me to know when to purchase another set.

We love these soothers. They are natural rubber and baby loves to chew on them when teething as well as suck to sooth herself to sleep. We don’t have to worry about bacteria or chocking hazards. I’ve only had the rubber peel off on one but they only last so long, don’t try to extend the life as they are natural and don’t last as long as synthetic materials.

We get about 6 weeks from one. They change colour and texture over time – totally normal. Wouldn’t use another product!.

This product is great and is really one of our staple baby items for our daughter. She prefers this pacifier over all others because of its unique shape and the security it gives her when touching her nose while she is sucking on it.

I love the aesthetics of this pacifier, it is very old fashioned and natural looking. It is so nice knowing that the pacifier is made out of all natural plant based rubber with no toxins unlike some of the other pacifiers on the market.

Fits perfectly and my kids love the form of the pacifier. It’s their favorite! Sticks fitting around the mouth so it doesn’t fall of!

I really like these, they go with everything.
