20 Best Packing Material For Shipping (2022 Updated)

I bought these sheets because I once saw a professional mover wrap up all my mom’s mugs in this paper. What you do is you open the whole bag and lie all the sheets stacked up in a pile on your countertop.

Lay a mug (or other fragile item) on its side on top of the pile. Fold a corner of the top sheet over the mug. Then fold the two adjacent corners over the mug as well. Lastly, roll up the covered mug into the last corner.

Then put it in your moving box! Tape usually isn’t required, the paper holds itself together fairly well. For smaller items I’ll sometimes cut a sheet into halves or quarters.

I ordered 6 packs of these to wrap things up for moving. Depending on the item, I use one sheet or more. Great to get things packed in advance before setting up the actual move. Not sure how the prices compare to a Moving company but I thought the price was definitely reasonable, especially these days.

Can also crumple up for filler and stuffing inside of vases etc. anything breakable with an opening.

For years I have used this brand and package of papers to ship items in the mail. You receive a generous amount for the price. They are pre cut to just the right size. They fit even my larger items. I use 2 to 3 layers for breakables and I like the way it makes my items look professional even though I use recycled boxes.

I have tried other brands and sizes but this one is the one I stick with.

Works very well for packing dishes. The size is just about the best size can cut to wrap smaller things or use 2 for larger items. Glad I got them

Great multi purpose paper. works as packaging paper, craft paper, kids drop cloth, make DIY seed starters.

Great filler for presents to make sure kids don’t break anything from shaking.

The size is great. First was promised 6/2, then 6/4 and arrived 6/5 – not much help when you are moving. The paper is worse than real newspaper. It is so thin. Rips on every corner and even on round items.

Sorry, it is not the quality I got 2 years ago – guess all things change. Last time very heavy and arrived in a box. This time rips easily and arrived all taped up. Finally got one area open, then slit to get covering off.

This time I am using 2 pieces together to get the quality I expected. Do not waste your money. I really hate leaving bad reviews, but time, quallity and money matter when moving.

I have ordered other products that varied in quality from thin to thick sheet or varying sizes. This packing paper is all one size and all one thickness. I appreciate the even quality throughout the whole package of paper.

It does not seem like a big deal but it is. When packing many similar, delicate items, quality is very important and this paper is very consistent. That is quality to me and makes packing much easier.

This paper was exactly what I hoped it would be: Perfect for wrapping gifts or shipping packages. I’ve had kraft paper rolls before that I had to toss the first 5 feet or so just because of shipping damage.

That was not the case with this paper. I also make candles, and the paper it proving just right for packaging individual jars. Highly recommend.

This paper is the perfect weight for wrapping dishes, knick knacks and whatever else. Not so heavy that it doesn’t fold, but not so thin that it rips. The price was incredible for a 900 ft. roll! I can wrap everything I have for moving with this one roll.

Hard to wrangle. Needs to spin on it’s base so you can pull off what you need without the paper tearing and crumpling. It fights you. The paper is heavy but tears, gets holes easily. The roll is quite heavy and unwieldy.

Moving and ordered to wrap folding tables. Wrapped 1. Resorted to cling wrap instead. Much easier and faster. Should have ordered bubble wrap instead.

I was expecting the paper to be in a box not in sort if rolls. When I took the first roll out the rest kept falling over. Kind if a pain. And finding a place to lay out flat was hard too do the sheets kept tearing when I pulled 1 out to wrap something.

But paper quality and thickness great!!.

I needed something a bit more substantial than tissue paper for shipping. Fairly heavy weight but not so heavy that that it adds a lot to shipping prices. Works for me.

I should have read the reviews and paid more attention to the description. This paper would be good for covering a small paper back book. In my defense “100 feet of brown Kraft Jumbo Paper Roll “ was the terminology that mislead me.

If I scrolled to the third photo again I would have realized how darn small this paper was.

quality of the paper is fine, but despite trying carefully read the descriptions, this paper is much more narrow than i needed. its only about a foot wide. it will only work for wrapping very small presents.

My cats love playing in paper. This was perfect for them. I was buying cheap wrapping paper for them, but this is still going strong even tho they play in it every night. I wad it up in a large, low Walmart box and they have a ball jumping in it and hiding from each other in it.

Purchased single mailing tubes (2″x24″) Office Depot Brand for my landscape blueprints which are 24″x36″. Rolled them the correct direction to fit into the tube. The tube is actually 25 1/2″ long, which seems great, but the end caps are about 1″ deep each, thereby taking up the room I needed for my blueprint.

Replacing the caps damaged the ends of the roll. Secondly, the label is huge and a hassle to remove. By the time I finished taking off their label, the tube looked damaged. I use these tubes to affix my label and hand to my clients.

I’m handing them a tube that looks like it’s been reused and the blueprint looks trashed when they pull it out. Very disappointing. I’ve used larger tubes, but it’s overkill. Please considering cutting these one inch longer and affix a removable label.

I have purchased many tubes of all sizes. This last batch of this size arrived damaged externally and internally with a few tubes torn. I went ahead it just accepted it, sometimes just cutting off the damaged section for smaller order.

After shipping a $25 poster for a customer and offering free shipping that I paid $8 USPS parcel mail. It end up flatten on one end. I had to shipped again using another carrier costing me another $10.

I never had this issue with the past tubes. These tubes walls are thinner and with be crush with light pressure. Stop being so cheap Kraft!! Put out a good product like before?.

I am all for leaving reviews. I am all for asking for reviews. But offering $2 in rewards to gain a review is not right. So I am not going to brag about the product here, I am just going to say: Reviews should be earned, not bought.

I’m known for mailing heavy packages (near 50lbs. at times) using this 3in. packing tape I know my packages are secure I actually save money over the 2in. tapes, not needing to use multiple passes. Peace of mind knowing I’m safe, my recipient is safe, even the delivery person is safe.

I was trying to save a few pennies by using this budget tape, but unfortunately I had to throw it away – a total loss. I’ts made in China and gives off such a strong chemical odor that I couldn’t continue to use it.

It was extremely irritating and the tape was not only difficult to work with but it did not stick very well either.

This test product came shipped to me in the same production material and is light blue with a gray interior. There are several options to choose from and this one is rolled into an oblong pillow type shape.

I do not presently send as many packages but from receiving some loosely closed boxes or products damaged from insufficient packaging, this might help. I would not trust everything as is, but that is simply because everyone has a different route delivery and other set ups for receiving them.

In particular, I would have consideration to what else keeps it secure. This may include taping shut and enclosing bottles within plastic. In terms of use, items will not have movement of parts and therefore effective.

There is an instruction label holding the roll closed and I suggest keeping it even after because it helps retain the storage capability and method of application clean and correct. I gave it a four after thinking about it because it will suit some packing very well, but I will guess that the overall satisfaction may be on the varied sizes because it has to handle or adapt to many qualities.

Therefore choosing well also ups the rating. My dislike is the waste and not knowing options to cut down on that. Therefore, consider when clean it can go on the inside bottom of a storage box as many are weak or for items that need better stability with padding.

It needs labels that are not included and self-seals when pressed together.

Every once in a while, a product comes along which makes you do a weird, meme-worthy double-take. That’s what happened when I got my hands on a Scotch® Flex & Seal Shipping Roll (which, in a very meta way, arrived sealed and packed in, you guessed it, Scotch® Flex & Seal)! First, the miracle part.

Assuming you can figure out how to unroll wrapping paper to figure out how much you need to cover a non-weirdly-shaped box, or unroll enough aluminum foil to wrap leftovers, you can do this. Unroll the shipping roll, center whatever you need to wrap and make sure you’ve unrolled enough to sandwich what you’re shipping, and cut.

Then just press. The grey (interior) side sticks to itself, but doesn’t stick to whatever you’re shipping. Not books, not paper, not metal, not plastic, not clothing. I don’t understand how it sticks to itself and not to you! Using this stuff means you can skip the boxes, the envelopes, the packing materials, and the tape.

Just grab your scissors, cut, fold and press. Because you pack everything tightly, the Flex & Seal roll conforming to the curves and edges of the item, you’re not paying for shipping something of larger dimensions.

I also like that it’s recyclable, as all you have to do is remove the shipping label and you can recycle it wherever you recycle plastic bags. The only issue I have is that while the rolls come in both 10- and 20-foot lengths (and, allegedly 50-foot?), it only seems to come in 15-inch widths.

Unlike wrapped presents or leftovers (to use my prior examples), you can’t roll this over for extra coverage — only the grey sides stick to one another; grey doesn’t stick to blue. So, you can’t really pack anything too large.

In the future, I’d love to see a wider roll. As a professional organizer, I am always looking for products that will help make my clients’ lives easier and reduce clutter. The Scotch® Flex & Seal Shipping Roll is one of those random products I had no idea I needed or wanted, but I’m delighted it has come along.

I came across this innovative product while shopping for regular polymailers to ship orders for my small business in. I wasn’t sure about the price because it is a little more expensive than what I use normally, so I added it to my Amazon cart.

I came across it again in person at Target, and it even had a coupon so I KNEW it was my sign to bite the bullet! I’ve since purchased 2 rolls! This is seriously such an amazing product, I love that it only sticks to itself, and so far I’ve shipped shoes, a DSI, and even an iPad in this with no problems! All my customers have loved it so far, and I’ve had no complaints of damage or issues with packaging! I can understand why this product has gotten awards! I have decided to keep this in my inventory for CERTAIN!.

I am not sure what this wrap is supposed to be used for but we used it to wrap a small chaise lounge and then put it on top of a car to take 700 miles. We wrapped it heavily in this wrap and went down and put the legs through the wrap to be certain all of it was well covered.

It went through the entire trip without any issues or even a single tear where other plastic would have torn to bits! I even went through a bad thunder storm and the lounge remained dry! Best idea and wrap ever! We will definitely use for other moves and other tricky uses.

We used the stretch wrap for wrapping our glass shelves in our five curio cabinets. It worked great to save the glass from breakage. We also used it for wrapping around the curio cabinets to keep from glass breakage and to help hold the whole curio cabinet for moving.

We love the product. I was glad to find this product at Staples.

This product was on sale and I have used another brand before. Great for stabilizing drawers in a cabinet before moving and bundles of fire wood. I use the nine inch all the time to bundle things like snow shovels in the spring, lumber, and garden poles.

Some times you need two people to get the stretch started, then it’s stretch and pull till you finish securing what you need to move or store.

Duck Duck Kraft Paper is exactly what I expect Kraft paper to be. On the plastic packaging inside on a card, it shows it being used to wrap a package. That’s not really my first thought, but I suppose you could use it that way.

I used it to wrap a very difficult shaped Christmas present then decorated the paper with some stickers and ribbons to “jazz it up”. I also used some in a craft project I was working on where I needed some sturdiness added though that wasn’t what I was expecting to use, it came in handy.

This particular brand is slightly thinner than I expected it to be but it’s really incidental. It should work fine for any project you have for it. I’m sure you will be pleased with it just as I was.

Got this and thought it would be great to use for generic wrapping paper for gifts. It is. It is tube-less so there is no middle tube like most wrapping papers. Using it for gift wrap, I struggled with getting the tape to stick.

I ended up using packaging tape and that seemed to work better than scotch tape. The paper cuts easily, I was a bit concerned that it would rip. Overall I think this would be fun for kids to color and decorate for making wrapping more personal.

This Kraft paper has been so handy to have around my house! I used it to pack some antique China dishes of my Grandmothers. It’s a nice thick paper so using it as packing material was great. My kids have also used the Kraft paper for coloring and making posters.

I don’t have to worry about ink or glue bleeding through onto my table top. I could also see using it as rustic wrapping paper with a burlap bow.

purchased this to use as void fill in packing fragile items. arrived quickly. the roll was packed in an outer box, but there was still some damage to the roll in that it was not quite round any more – the paper itself was fine.

that might be a problem if you were putting this on a stand / holder, but it works fine for me.

Perfect void fill — thick to hold its shape and not get too crushed, but still lightweight to keep postage costs down. AND I use this to chic wrapping paper with a fancy ribbon for a pop of color…. works for all occasions.

This appears to be essentially your generic packing paper and does a reasonably good job except that it seems to be thinner than packing paper I’ve bought in the past. I’m pretty neutral on it as a result.

It’s okay but I’m not sure I would buy it again since there are lots of other options.

It as as simple to use as gift wrap but it wasn’t as thick as I’d hoped. I bought it to safely ship a framed gift. I ended up using 2 full layers of it. The gifts arrived safely. The picture shown of someone wrapping framed art made me think it was just what I needed.

But I realize now this is probably for safely packing such items (for moving), rather than for shipping them. I do recommend it though (using 1 layer for moving purposes and 2 layers for shipping purposes).

I have a lot of artwork, and I have had to move it around the last couple of years. This product is perfect for doing a partial wrap around the shortest perimeter of framed art. I protects it from minor bumps and scrapings, and is great for storage!.

I needed to mail two separate items and nothing from post office worked. SO I returned the items to their gift boxes and wrapped in Kraft paper lined in bubble wrap – and now I did not have to worry if delivered in foul weather.

I was concerned about the folding at corners but paper was surprisingly pliable!.

Don’t even bother to buy these bubble mailers from Shurtape Technologie. Clearly, they miss advertised how many bubble mailers you get. Each pack comes with 6 and they sent me a box of 20 packs which only come to 120 units.

I thought there must be miss understanding and I just didn’t get the other half so I return them and not only did I not get a different set of bubble mailers. THEY SENT THE SAME BOX WITH LABELS FROM PREVIOUS PURCHASE! Honestly, this seller needs not just math and reading skills but professionalism.

I purchased Duck Brand Kraft Bubble Mailers in size 8. 5 x 11 for shipping purposes. The envelopes are true to size, have a layer of bubble protection on the inside, and have a strong seal. Per envelope, they are less expensive than purchasing at a dollar store.

If you use a lot of bubble mailing envelopes, buying in bulk would be more economical; however, if you just need a few bubble envelopes on hand, this Duck Brand 12-pk is the way to go.

The Duck bubble mailers are excellent! I use eBay to sell items and I use these mailers often. The envelope is strong and doesn’t tear easily. It can also hold a lot of weight in it too. The price is affordable and I can be assured that the items I send out will get there safely.

I have needed to buy multiple 5 cubic foot bags of packing peanuts over the last 3 weeks. The product is fine. the in-store pricing accuracy is terrible ! Let me tell you why: 1ST PURCHASE. website price was $20.

99. sale price was $13. 99. in-store tag showed $34. 99. Cashier had to override register price of $20. 99 so I could get the $13. 99 sale price shown on website. 2ND PURCHASE. I should have bought more bags on 1st purchase.

This time the register price was $20. 99. and I purchased @ $20. 99. Store tag still read $34. 99. ridiculous and unacceptable. 3RD PURCHASE. my wife went into same store to pick up a bag and was charged $34.

I ship a lot of items and while the bags full of air is great, they take up way to much space and don’t really protect the products. That is why I use the Loose-Fill Packing Peanuts. They are small, get into the areas that a bag of air can’t and protect my items better than ever.

I just love the little nuts. Oh and a little secret, you can wet them down and they will disintegrate, which makes it better for the environment. The bag of air, is in plastic that can not be recycled.

We’re moving out of state & needed the loose-filling peanuts to pad around our delicate objects. These items purchased were EXACTLY the kind we needed. They are very good products and our items were moved without a scratch! I don’t know how they provide so much for such a reasonable price.

In fact, the price was literally peanuts & the quantity provided for the reasonable price was just TOO MUCH!!!.

Was a bit concerned by some of the low reviews & ratings but honestly this tape dispenser works fine. Personally found the instructions on how to load it up pretty straightforward if you just take the time to review the diagram and directions.

Sure it doesn’t work perfectly every single time, occasionally the tape sticks to the bottom of the loading area (easy to just peel up to resolve) but it’s not as horrible or useless as the reviews make it out to seem.

If you’re having trouble tearing the tape with the cutter, don’t just fling the dispenser down quickly to try and cut it. I found it pretty much always cut if you align the dispenser/cutter flush against the box like you’re forming a 90 degree angle with the cutter and tape.

Don’t let the low ratings and angry reviews deter you; this dispenser made packing so much more convenient than fumbling around and constantly trying to find the edge with a roll of tape and scissors.

It’s bubble wrap. What more can I tell you? Bottom line, this stuff does the job. It came in a somewhat smaller package than I thought it would, but this stuff holds up and is durable just like you’d expect.

For the price I paid for this and with free prime shipping, I saved a few dollars as opposed to buying this stuff from a stationary or shipping supply store. If you’re like me and often sell items on eBay or Amazon you’ll need this type of stuff lying around.

Don’t hesitate. Just buy it!.

I use bubble wrap to secure items that I ship for business purposes. Your product is awful from the tearing off of your LARGE label which takes an entire piece of the wrap with it to the difficulty and ridiculous aggravation of tearing the bubble wrap itself because it tears like taffy instead of in sheets.

Why do you even have the dotted lines because they are of no use. Scissors can’t cut this mess! lol I hope that you can find a way to improve your product. Wish you the best. I believe that I will move on to another brand.

We use these boxes to ship out items regularly. This is a good size for handling without going too overboard. The quality of the box is on the stronger side, but definitely still have to watch stacking them up if they are very weighted.

We have stacked them up to 3 tall with ~40-50lbs in each, but after that the corners will crush if you’re not careful or if you’re leaving them long term. Overall decent box for the price.

These bags are working out great for my fabric shipments. I was concerned they might not be thick enough, but they’re perfect. They are exactly what I was looking for and the price is better than other retailers I checked.

These are thin bags that have a little stretch but not too much. The size and thickness work for what I need them to which is to hold sample jars.
