20 Best Pads For Men’S Incontinence (2022 Updated)

Though they are more costly than the largest American made product, Depends, in my experience they are far superior. I have had fewer overflow accidents with them, I think due to better design. The two competitors may be close in capacity, but the Tena product seems to permit greater movement/position changes with a full pad without disturbing leakage.

I feel more confident when I use them. I tend to switch to Depend when, later in the day, I think the leakage will be less. Often, for me, one Tena will suffice for the day. If I’m very active, then I might use a Depend for the second pad.

Walmart’s pricing of the product is less than buying direct or from another supplier.

After having my prostate removed, I suffered from stress incontinence. Whenever I sneezed, coughed, or otherwise had a moment of body stress, minor to medium leakage occurred. I have used Depend Incontinence Shields for Men (didn’t hold much leakage, too small across); Depend Incontinence Guards for Men (too bulky but did the job); and Assurance Male Guard (ditto).

Tena has solved my incontinence problems. It’s absorbent material is thicker than Shields but not nearly as bulky as the various versions of Guards. No leaks. The design of the pad is wider across the top area than both Shields and Guards so that I don’t have to worry about bodily shifts or vigorous activity causing side leakage which happened a lot with Shields in particular.

I don’t have to worry about embarrassing leakage when wearing Tena.

My husband has dementia and a little incontinence. I had to put him in the medium pads as the light ones weren’t enough absorption. These pads have great absorption, but are a bit big at the top of the pad and often are folded over when being replaced.

There could be a bit more adhesive, too. I will be trying the Depends medium next. Used the Depends light and they were very good.

Great for light to light-medium leaks. Thin, not bulky at all. The adhesive is weak so I strongly advise you adhere with additional double-sided tape to keep it in place.

Formed nicely and have a comfortable fit. There are two drawbacks. The first one is the price. Too expensive! The second is that the inner material breaks apart after a couple of hours of extremely mild leakage.

At times I think it is caused by body heat and sweat. The Attends guards perform adequately but I will return to the Depends guards even though they are much more of a pad than I need. I can purchase over three times as many for the same price and the inner pad stays together.

All of their products that I have used work well as intended. The XL Male Guards in particular have made my current situation much more bearable. Additionally, I used to work in an independent pharmacy in the 70s that sold colostomy products and such.

I felt so bad for people who could not find the specific product they needed and depended on. NorthShore provides a high quality product with timely delivery. I’m glad I found out about this company.

The DoubleStop Male Guards provide greater absorption than Attends Guards for Men and TENA Men Absorbent Guards, but even with the greater absorbency the DoubleStop Male Guards are more comfortable for me than the other two products.

Therefore, I am now using the North Shore DoubleStop Male Guards exclusively during sleep, exercise, and, if necessary, daily wear. When I experience urinary incontinence it is typically mild to moderate leakage.

This is typically if there is some delay in getting to a bathroom. I have tried the X Top for Men Incontinence Pouch and found it to be totally unworkable for me. However, the X Top Incontinence Pouch may work well for other men’s anatomy and perhaps worth a try.

These work very well and hold a lot of fluid. My only issue was learning the best place to position the Guard within my underwear for maximum effectiveness. Once determined, they are great. Best to use new briefs with strong elastic that fit securely and hold the extra weight when Guard is full.

Will buy again.

It sucks to need these, but you might as well find the product that works the best at the best price. These are essentially identical to the Depends brand at a fraction of the price. Like Depends, if you are a male, they are about twice as long as they need to be.

I trimmed off the part that extended way too far back and eventually realized that I could make two usable pads out of one. I think these are meant to be unisex and I suppose this wouldn’t work for a female.

But for a guy, if you don’t trim them, they extend way back between your thighs where a) you don’t need them and b) they just bunch up and are uncomfortable. I used to trim off the back part and throw it out until I realized that I was throwing away as much as I was using.

So that drives the cost even lower. The absorbency is equal to the Depends as is the adherence to your underwear. I can find no difference,, and believe me, I checked them out thoroughly. If you’re unfortunate enough to need these, this is an excellent product at a remarkable price.

A product is only as good as you apply it. You can dribble or flood, and a pad is only as good as its intended capacity. Who knows what a reviewer’s pee level and frequency is?And, no reviewer has addressed where the head of the male organ falls for a particular person.

This is where the stream begins, and can result in no leakage if it’s more inside the pouch, and significant leakage if near the outside edges. Also, endowed size and “how you hang” can make all the difference.

Plus, movement throughout the day can shift things around. For me, with zero peeing to only dribbling, this product works well. Prospective purchasers should consider the factors I’ve presented before eliminating any choice.

There’s no guarantee with this kind of product. May have to try several brands for your situation. Hope you have success.

Was hoping I was getting something new to try with great reviews. Opened first pack and there they are same print, pull tab everything the same as depends minus individual wrap. Sad. These 26€, depends 25€.

Just got them so can’t comment further. Do yourself a favor, if you like either of these buy Kroger brand 16¢ each. Same as depends with individual wrap. The extra wide abri works best but no odor. I will keep looking but will stay with Kroger till find better.

They are necessary but not that good. About 2-3 years ago there were 2 brands that worked for me, but both made design changes about the same time. This was one of the brands. The changes resulted in leakage that happened before I realized it.

This brand is better than the store brand I sometimes used, but have since discontinued. I have tried other brands, but none works as well as these. Having said that, these are still inadequate.

Leaks badly from the sides. Don’t buy and do not recommend. My granddaughters mother bought these for her for economic reasons so I thought I would keep some at my house because there were more in the box/bag.

Her brother tried them and they leaked on the floor and he said they were hard. I wish I knew sooner and can probably work for her periods I guess. I’m done with that. (smiling) Wet mattress. Thanks Walmart.

I have a 12 yr old son with Cerebral Palsy and as he got older&thus bigger; years ago I found these & they have become one of the ONLY reasons we can now go out & about; they don’t make changing tables for ‘big boys’ and I won’t let him stay wet; any male that is wheelchair bound should have these, it isolates the flow to the front&you just pop it out in the bathrrom&either put a new one in or not, either way, it’s a change w/out finding a place to change a 5 foot tall 100lb.

Pads are a fine product but the carton they come in is very visibly marked and not at all discrete. The plastic wrap the pads come in cannot be easily used to dispose of the old pad. A smidgen more of glue on the wrapper would provide an ideal disposal tool.

These appear to have replaced the Abri-Man Formula 2, which I have used for many year at night. It’s a pity that the Formula 2 no longer appears to be available as they were perfect for me. No doubt I will get used to the Slipguard but my initial view is that they are not quite as comfortable to wear as the Formula 2 version.

I have a slight problem with incontinence. These shields are sufficient for this while others are overkill.

The item works well. This is my 4th purchase and when needed, I will purchase them again. The moderate ones work well for me. I needed them while being treated for prostate cancer. They are worh the cost, fit well, and no one know you have them on.

I find these are not pouch shaped which men need. They are flat. Second, my anatomy hangs left and there isn’t any absorbent material there, thus I wet my pants. I have to move the Shield way over to the left and stick it in place but this barely works.

Cup shaped would be critical to fit better, more comfortable and maybe direct things more centrally. It would be nice if the pad changed color to show what is wet or not. Right now as I heal from surgery it feels like I “go” but the pad appears to be dry.

So in the end I can’t really if it is time to change or not. Many things about this Shield I would change to fit and work better.

Best product that I have tried. Fits well and stays in place even in my fitness shorts. The absorency is fine for me since I only need to control against minor dripping due to prostate surgery. Only problem is that on three seperate occaisions the pad stuck to my underware such that when I tried to remove it the pad seperated and left the adhesive section stuck to my underware and I could not remove it.

Called the customer service number and was given instructions on how I could possibly remove the stuck plastic and because of my troubles was awarded compensation for m the customer service representative.

Very pleased about that. Will continue to use the product.

I initially used the maximum size following prostate surgery. I don’t need such a large pad anymore so I tried the thin. It would work if it was larger…not thicker, but larger. It’s hard to line it up and keep it lined up.

Please don’t respond like most replies. – asking me to call and provide more information. It’s very simple…please make and intermediate sized pad – not thicker, just one that covers more space. Thank you.

The best protector for men. They took a long time to create a protection product for men that we also need to be clean, comfortable and protected. It works even for all men who do not have incontinence, the protector helps to catch small drops of urine, stains and other masculine liquids that we produce during the day (you know what I mean).

Now I am protected, comfortable and without fear of those stains ending up on my pants. I can do my activities freely and I even forget that I have it in my underwear. The protector maintains its shape for 24 hours without the need to change, it adapts very well to a man’s body and even works in all states whether it is flaccid or hard with perfect comfort without discomfort, nobody can tell that I am wearing it when I am alone in shorts for their thinness and discretion.

I recommend wearing it with tight underwear, not boxers. Finally men have been saved.

I was impressed with the discreetness of the shields. Wearing them improved my confidence whilst recovering from a prostate operation which left me with leaking and control issues. They were a good supplement to my pelvic floor exercises.

Highly recommend the product to other patients.

If you enjoy changing frequently, having urine run down your legs, wetting your pants, spending 2X as much as you should,. then yes use these. However, if you don’t like the forementioned stuff, then look to other brands.

I had a prostectomy 2 years ago and it left me severely incontinent. These pads hold half as much as others and cost 2X as much! Pure marketing selling inferior rubbish.

The Abena Man Formula 2 is the most effective, comfortable and discrete product for someone who is active. They are easier to get used to and i was less concerned with it being obvious to others than any other product i have tried.

I recommend using close fitting underwear with some stretch, versus 100 percent cotton. They are a little bulky to pack (not to wear) if going on a trip, but they give me total confidence that they wont leak.

This is a high quality product that makes dealing with this issue a lot more tolerable.

Your product is the best on the market. After 11 years of total incontinence due to a surgical mishap, I can testify that I have found no other product that comes near the fail-safe and quality traits as yours.

Hello, The new ABENA-MAN F2 are good. The old ABRI-MAN F2 were the best. Your ABENA MAN are thinner and will leak due to large surges. They also do not absorb as quickly as the old ABRI-MAN. It would be great if you could make the ABENA-MAN F2 wider and longer to capture big surges.

At best you could call them ABENA-MAN F-3!!!.

During a long days working or traveling, I would experience urine smells coming from my crotch area. It was really embarrassing. I would spray ample amounts of colonge to try to cover the smell. Dripping in my underwear after urination was a big problem for me.

The depend pads absorbs the drops and absorbs the urine smell as well. I am so happy with this product. My confidence is back. Thanks Depends!.

I am thankful for this product after my prostatectomy. I only have one issue with the design. I don’t know about everyone else but mine does not stay in one place, it moves around. The triangular shape is my issue, I believe a more rectangular shape would provide more coverage and protection.

I use two at once for better protection, one upright and the other on top up side down. The length is adequate but you might consider the shape.

I like the pads because they are long. I wish they had a better adhesive strip. They don’t stick to my pants and they move around. I like that the delivery is so fast.

These pads are perfect for the bariatric patient. My husband weighs over 350 lbs, is mostly bed bound and is fecal incontinent. Bed pans were messy and left him with open pressure sores. I found that placing the larger portion to the front works best for his situation.

I also used these in a pair of underpants when I ran out of diapers for him. Also good for urinary incontince.

Originally started using the Formual 2 pads following prostate cancer surgery, this was on recommendation of hospital and after I had already tested Tena pads. As things have improved, I have now progressed to Formula 1 and both of these products are excellent for absorbancy whilst maintaining a feeling of staying dry.

Would highly recommend for anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves in need of this type of product.

I purchased this product for my husband who has dementia, and is becoming incontinent. I thought it would be a good first step. However, even though the product seems absorbent enough for dribbles etc, he couldn’t understand that he needed to keep it in position after going to the toilet.

The adhesive strip isn’t strong enough to keep it in place while he is pulling his pants back up. So not right for us.

I couldn’t find them in any store, but knew there had to be something in between the little one and the “moderate”, so when I found this one, I took a chance and am glad I did. Perfect size and shape; wider than the “light” but still thin and comfortable.

About the same thickness as the lightest one but larger (about 7 inches wide at the top, 3 inches at the bottom, and 7 1/2 inches long. ) I will buy these again.

I have been incontinent for 13 years after a radical prostatectomy. I have tried various brands over the years, mainly when travelling to reduce luggage bulk, but have never found any brand that comes close to Tena, for quality, comfort and reassurance.

I also find their Tena Direct site easy to use, so a bulk order of 15 boxes is delivered discreetly to my door. Highly recommend.

I tried other male pads and develop serious allergic rashes. I can wear the Prevail Male Pad day and night without getting any skin reaction. Very comfortable, too. Easy to apply to underwater and adhesive won’t stick like Depends.

I use it to absorb overflow dribbling and occasional nighttime urination and never wet my underwear or bed yet. I do wish each pad was individually wrapped for sanitation but I just place each opened pack into a plastic bag.

Just simple ingredients like 100% cotton, aloe, chamomile, Vitamin E and silica gel absorbent. No preservatives or harmful chemicals added.
